We loved Mike! They were so awesome. We had the whole disc of the pictures about a month after the wedding which was awesome. His personality was cool and they were both really professional. I can't say enough about Tillman Branch Photography! Our wedding was in January and Mike and Rachel did the most amazing job capturing everything from start to finish. Not only are they extrememly talented, but also friendly and easy to work with both before and after the big day! In fact, they surprised me a week early with my wedding album! It means so much to have worked with people who truly understand how important your wedding day is.
If you are looking for a well-rounded photography company then look at Tillman Branch Photography! The pictures on their website and facebook page really show how dedicated they are to their craft. They can do traditional, candid, and get creative with lighting and shots you would have never thought of! We honestly couldn't be happier with our wedding shots!I can't say enough about Tillman Branch Photography! We could not have asked for better photographers for our wedding day! Having a destination wedding makes for many challenges in the planning process and one of the most stressful parts was finding a photographer that was going to fit our vision and style. We searched through so many area photographers and once we saw the Tillman Branch photos and I spoke with Rachel on the phone, we knew we had our photographers! Our engagement session was such an adventure, meeting Mike for the first time, exploring Charleston for our photo shoot and seeing the amazing work and vision that Mike has! It was so great to see the finished product in our guest book and so many of our guests were in awe of the amazing work in our guest book.
Rachel and Mike took the time to help us plan our day too and make sure they knew all of our requests for photos and helped us work with our other vendors too, to make the day go smoothly. They did everything we asked for and more, and I knew that our photos would turn out great.
Our wedding day photos looked SOOO great and we've received so many compliments. I would recommend Mike and Rachel to ANYONE who wants their wedding photos to be memorable. unique, and just plain old cool.We could not have asked for better photographers for our wedding day! Tillman Branch is worth every penny they cost. I've done my engagement pictures and bridal portraits with them. I wouldn't go to anyone else. When you meet Mike, he makes you feel like you known him your entire life. He has a great sense of humor. And he will do anything to get a good shot, including laying down in the middle of the road or climbing gates in the middle of downtown Charleston. What an ABSOLUTELY amazing experience my husband and I have had with Mike of Tillman Branch. I found them through an online search and fell in love with their awesome and inspiring work. I contacted them about getting an estimate for their services via email and their response was very quick. I was able to work with them and create a custom package. My husband and I are certainly not models or rock stars, but Mike sure made us feel that way every time we met, spoke and took photos. Mike has become a great friend. These reviews posted below, definitely speak for themselves!!!!! Mike and Rachel are amazing photographers that are warm, funny, enthusiastic and passionate about what they do. This allows for fun during all photo shoots and making you feel extremely comfortable while doing so. I was so pleased with how ALL of our pictures turned out, from engagement, to bridal, to the wedding day! Each session, mike continued to blow me away with more awesome pics each time! They were affordable, and without a doubt worth every penny! Would love to work with them again the next time we are in Charleston.....but we will have to come up with an excuse (christmas cards? Trash the dress? Anniversary?)!

I stumbled across Tillman Branch after many hours of online searching. I found their website information through one of the many wedding engines and was immediately impressed with what I saw. I was looking for something different but that also wouldn't kill my entire budget. It meant a lot to me to have awesome pictures when the wedding was over with. Afterall, that's really all you have to look back on. The flowers die and the dress gets packed away, but you'll always have the pictures. I didn't want boring posey, look and smile, studio-type shots. I wanted candid, caught in the moment, artsy, journalistic shots. I wanted to be able to look back through the pictures and relive the feeling of the entire day. And that is exactly what I got.
From the very first phone call to Rachel, I knew that working with Tillman Branch would be a pretty painless process. I got immediate response when I contacted either of them and they were both really easy to talk to. Mike is very professional and takes his work seriously. He has great eye and an easy-going personality.

These guy are the BEST! Not only do they make you feel like you've been friends forever and put you completely at ease, but they take the best photgraphs I've EVER seen. I could not imagine trusting anyone else to do my wedding photos, and they turned out better than I could have imagined. They do NOT disappoint!!These guy are the BEST! Tillman Branch is AMAZING! My husband and I joke around now and say we have found our 'life' photographers. We won't use anyone else now. We got married in Charleston in April 2009. We are from North Carolina and it was a little scary for me to find wedding vendors without being familiar with who's who in Charleston. The second I heard back from Tillman Branch I knew I would be pleased- and they have FAR exceeded my expectations. The work is exceptional and everyone comments on our pictures. My sister-in-law even cried and told me how jealous she was of our beautiful photos! You absolutely can not go wrong with Tillman Branch. Mike and Rachel are wonderful and you will fall in love with them. This kind of quality work is scarce especially for their prices!

Tillman Branch Photography was AMAZING to work with. I found them online due to the fact that I was planning an out of state wedding! I never worried about anything! When we finally me to do engagement photos, the photographers were lots of fun and amazing to work with...the LAST thing I was worried about on my wedding day were the photos, and they turned out WONDERFULLY!Tillman Branch Photography was AMAZING to work with. Mike is very professional yet his personality, demeanor, down-to-earth tone puts you right at ease in front of the camera! When my husband and I met mike for our engagement shoot, we were both a little nervous, but Mike soon had us laughing and feeling like we had just met back up with a long time friend. Mike worked with our budget; he went above and beyond anything we’d expected! The quality of his work is phenomenal! Mike was fantastic to work with. He exceeded our expectations by bringing two assistant photographers (we were only expecting one), worked with our personalities, and made us feel completely at ease throughout the whole day (10 hours of photography!). Tillman Branch provided the photography for my September wedding. I immediately liked Mike from our interview and thought he had really good pictures on his site. They are on the edgy side but not to the point that it doesn't look like a wedding shoot. He was very professional, but made us feel comfortable in all the shoots.
We started with our engagement session. These pictures were amazing! In a little over two hours, we covered several locations in downtown Charleston. We had a great variety of pictures to choose from - styling from edgy/fashiony to romantic. Lots of closeups - variety of expressions. Fun pictures. These were used in our guest book - also provided by Tillman Branch.
I also had my bridal shoot with Mike. He says these are his favorite to shoot and I believe him after the experience! We had a good time, running around Lowndes Grove taking several different locations. The shoot was only a week before our wedding, as we waited for a specific guest room to be available at our location. He edited the pictures that night and rush ordered prints for my wedding. I have everything from pictures your grandmother will love to pictures that should be in a fashion magazine.
The wedding is an entirely different type of event for photographers. Most of this is not posed and requires a whole different set of skills and eye. Overall, I am very very happy with our pictures. Out of about 800 pictures from the wedding, I love 200. And that is more pictures than anyone wants to look at of your wedding, except maybe you. Even your husband and Mom don't want to see 200 pictures. We have amazing pictures of me getting ready, the groom and groomsmen before the ceremony, the entire ceremony, and a few of us by ourselves after the ceremony.
Tillman Branch provides great books for you. Our guest books is not your standard leather bound guy. The book has pictures for the cover and Mike does a great job leaving open space in your pictures for people to sign. Its now a great coffee table book - not just something to throw on a shelf.
We have yet to pick out our pictures for the wedding book, but I'm sure it'll be the same level of high quality! Mike has been great to work with for the whole experience and we have lots of amazing, timeless shots to remember our wedding.
