Exceptional Work

We wanted a very particular, modern aesthetic and specific color pallet for our floral design, but Tim and Jennifer are incredible artists with exceptional eyes for design. When we first met him, Tim made it clear immediately that, more than any other florist we had spoken to, he had a near-perfect understanding of the unique looked we wanted. He even made suggestions for how to cut costs while still achieving the look we wanted. Tim and Jennifer made imaginative choices for the flowers and greenery and found us gorgeous plants that we never would have thought of on our own. The centerpieces were lush and beautiful and made our long rectangular tables feel full and inviting. The bride’s bouquet was especially impressive: She wanted a large asymmetrical arrangement with an unusual style, and Tim and Jennifer produced a massive masterpiece unlike anything we had ever seen. It honestly looked like flowers from another planet! That’s just our particular taste, but if Tim and Jennifer can produce that, they can surely handle any type of arrangements from the most traditional to something completely unconventional. Our wedding was held in a repurposed factory space, but using garlands on the stairs, arrangements around the welcome sign and seating chart, and other strategically placed decorations, Tim and Jennifer made what could have been a bare and uninviting space into someplace warm and welcoming. We should mention that our contract stated that, for an additional fee, Tim and Jennifer would donate the centerpieces after the event. I guess we never said explicitly that we want them to so, because we were vary surprised to learn that they weren’t coming back to pick up the flowers at the end of the night. So make sure you all agree on what will be done with the arrangements afterwards.

Beautiful flowers!

We originally booked Tiger Lily Flowers in early 2020, for our May 2020 wedding. We met with Tim and Jennifer and came up with flowers that fit the color scheme and look I wanted for our wedding. Unfortunately, we ended up having to postpone our original wedding due to the pandemic.

We rescheduled in Oct with just a week’s notice. I called Tiger Lily and spoke with Jennifer. Due to the change in season we changed our wedding colors to more jewel tones. She was so helpful and able to suggest some flowers that fit with the new color scheme over the phone. The day of our wedding the flowers were delivered before we even arrived at the venue. They looked amazing! And they helped pull everything together! You couldn’t even tell that Tiger Lily had such short notice to create them

Tiger Lily and Encke Flowers are the BEST!

My husband and I got married on July 13, 2019 at the Village Club at Lake Success.I wanted our wedding to be decorated with wildflowers with an elegant twist. Although the wedding was on Long Island, I knew that I needed to speak with Tim an Jennifer from Tiger Lily and Encke Flowers in my home town, Teaneck, NJ. From the moment that I explained my vision to Tim and Jennifer, I knew that they would make my vision a reality. The sample flowers that they showed us a few weeks before the wedding were gorgeous, but the flowers on the day of the wedding were even more magnificent. They picked flowers that held up in the heat and lasted a week after the wedding. Their attention to detail was exceptional. They placed each flower by hand while constructing the chuppah. They even had someone stay at the venue to collect the rented items at the end of the night. I have gotten so many complements about the flowers. I highly recommend Tiger Lily and Encke Flowers for all events, especially weddings.

Hire them before it’s too late!

Tiger Lily was the second time my family chose them as our florist for our wedding, knowing how their quality of work was previously this was a no brainer for us. Tim and Jennifer are true artists, they had everyone floored with their masterpieces setting the tone for our wedding. Tim and Jennifer are undeniably creative; we got married on New Years Eve having a Gatsby theme, they put together a clock mural for our table, centerpieces that were bold yet elegant, and the bouquet for myself and the bridesmaids were stunning, adding feathers in that proved their attention to detail. The best part is, Tim will have you laughing throughout the entire process. Weddings are stressful, Tim quickly makes you realize how fun this all is! Tiger Lily is our forever florist, and should be yours too! (Photos coming soon!)

Both Tim and Jen at Encke Flowers helped me have the flowers of my dreams at my wedding. I consulted with Tim, and I was very unsure how my ideas would come together, as I really had put very little thought into what I would want, and wanted a few flowers that I wasn't sure how well they would work together. Tim worked with me, took all my suggestions, made a way for all my flower choices to meld together beautifully, and was just really easy to make ideas with! Jen also did such a wonderful job making our ideas reality. They helped bring perfection to a vision and my wedding couldn't have been decorated any more beautifully. There was no need for extravagance for there to be elegance and beauty. They also went above and beyond to make sure I would get the lilies of the valley I asked for in my bouquet. Thank you so much!!

Extremely helpful and accommodating. They had a lot of ideas and guided us. We couldn’t be more grateful with Tiger Lily by Encke. I was sad to leave my arrangements they were so pretty. My bouquet came out AMAZING! I dried it and plan on keeping it forever! Everyone talk about it :)

My husband and I were beyond thrilled with Tim and Jennifer's gorgeous florals for our November 2017 wedding at Factory 220 in Passaic, NJ. I was a fairly nontraditional bride with a strong vision of my wedding aesthetic, and Tim and Jennifer did an amazing job of interpreting that vision and bringing it to life. They sourced flowers and plants from far and wide to work with our mustard yellow and olive green theme colors, and our desire to utilize succulents and other unusual-looking items in our arrangements. Throughout the process they were kind, calm, reliable, and hard-working, and we truly felt they went above and beyond the call of duty to make the florals for our big day everything we were hoping for and more. We would highly recommend them to anyone, and would certainly use them again!

I am so over joyed with the amazing work of both Tim and Jennifer of Tiger Lily By Encke Florist. Tim was so helpful, fun and had very creative ideas. Both of them truly created what we envisioned for both our ceremony and reception flowers. We knew right away that we wanted to work with them. Every suggestion I loved. I wanted to have our table centerpieces to have a very personal touch, so my husband and I saved all of our bottles of wine that we received as gifts from our engagement party and from other friends and family. My bridesmaids and I did some DIY and frosted and flocked the bottles to look like snow (We had a Winter Theme) . Tim and Jennifer used these bottles as the Vases and created a spectacular center piece. Seeing the first sample brought tears to my eyes. When I walked into the reception Ball room with my husband, We were both over joyed. It was exactly what we wanted. Tim also created a Masterpiece for our ceremony. On either side of us stood 6 ft birch and willow branches, with accents of White Dendrobium orchids, that completely surrounded us. I will definitely use Tiger Lily again in the future.

Wow. I don't think I could be happier with my flowers from Tiger Lily by Encke. Tim is the sweetest. His smile, positivity, and immediate clear understanding of what I wanted for my wedding made me book their services for my 150 person event. After showing him a few pictures from Pinterest, sharing a few likes and dislikes, Tim's creativity sprung to life. He described a gorgeous pair of branches with dripping flowers for our ceremony, centerpieces that were original and indicative of my personality, and bouquets that gracefully enhanced everything. I don't know much about flowers, but Tim pulled out books of pictures of different blooms to show what he was describing. His knowledge of the venue (Maritime Parc) was a huge help.

Tim's wife and partner brought his designs to life in an even more perfect way than imagined. And, after a request to make one small change (literally 1 - to remove a small amount of long green grass - no idea what it's called - change), she came through and somehow made the final centerpieces more beautiful than the sample.

What really set this duo apart was that they stayed at the venue to move and reset the centerpieces behind our sweetheart table. Something they easily could have had the venue do, but they did it themselves to ensure it was perfect. It was.

On top of all of this, Tim made tweaks to his original design to stick to my budget. To note - his original pricing wasn't too far off.

I would recommend this florist a million times over and would use them again in a heartbeat.

Tim Blunk is a rockstar. I was considering doing my flowers on my own but decided to use a florist instead. I am so very glad I did. Fortunately and surprisingly, Tim at Tiger Lily had my date open. When I met with him I had a general idea of the style/theme I wanted, but other than that, I knew next to nothing about flowers. Within minutes, he had several ideas sketched out, flowers to use, etc. He immediately put my mind at ease and completely grasped exactly what I was looking for - something different, outside the box, other than roses type of style.

In the weeks leading up to the wedding he was so responsive - anytime he had a question he reached out. Anytime he looked for flowers that may have worked in my arrangements he contacted me to let me know what he thought of them. He was so incredibly flexible and helpful and would not settle for anything less than perfect.

The day of the wedding I was so excited to see how everything came together. He nailed it. I received so many compliments from my guests. I could not have asked for an easier person to work with. His creativity and vision cannot be compared. Insane value, professionalism, service, you name it. 100% recommend Tim! Thank you a million!

Tim & Jennifer are a great team. They listen to your ideas and just make them work in ways you could never imagine! My flowers were out of this world. People are still talking about them and I've been asked by multiple guests (and those who saw pictures) who my florist was! Tim is awesome to work with. His wife has such a great eye for the little things that make a huge difference. For example, She will tell you what flowers will look best in your bouquet, even if this means it's a less expensive flower! They are not greedy like other vendors and will completely work within your means! Give them a call!

Working with Tim was an absolute pleasure. His knowledge and passion for flowers is unparalleled. It is such a pleasure to work with someone who clearly loves what they do. My bridal bouquet was stunning and completely exceeded my expectations, as I was married in October and Tim was able to procure some of my wish-list flowers that were out of season. My centerpieces were exactly what I envisioned. All of the arrangements were put together with taste and care. Furthermore, Tim went above and beyond by complying with some odd rules that were required to be followed at my reception location. I would definitely use Tiger Lily again in the future. Tiger Weddings was one of my favorite vendors to work with while planning my wedding. Tim was the third florist I met with and was immediately convinced that he was the florist that I wanted to work with. He was familiar with my venue and had experience with the staff there. He was respectful of my budget while still creating arrangements that I had described. On my wedding day, it was incredible to see my dreams and design concepts come to fruition and Tim and Jennifer met my expectations. I would highly recommend Tiger Weddings and hope to use them in the future.

From start to finish Tim provided us with ideas for our Fall themed wedding. Tim worked within our budget and did not treat us any different due to our budget. He is very sweet and everything that he does and sells is fair-trade/organic. He is truly a blessing and I would recommend him to anyone. He also sells crafts. On a short moments notice (day of the wedding). I forgot to order my mothers' corsage. My now husband contacted Tim who was already at the venue with no tools. He used earth's resources and made my mother a beautiful corsage. We love you Tim!!!

From my first call with Tim at Tiger Lily, I just knew that I had found my florist. I'm sure many would agree that it feels great when you have that strong gut feeling that this is a good decision! He didn't disappoint...quite the opposite. He was a master and a co-creator of the final results. I went to Tim with a concept and ideas on what i was looking for...i sent him images of the venue so he could get a feel for it himself and then he helped me set up a magical ambiance for our magical night. He stuck to my budget, he came up with creative ideas, he personally delivered and set up the flowers himself without me having to be there, he made me laugh and allowed me to breeze through things totally stress free and happy. I sincerely, highly recommend Tiger Lily as part of your wedding experience...they're just amazing!

Tim and his team went above and beyond the call of duty in helping to make my daughter's wedding perfect. The table flowers were gorgeous, the bridal party bouquets were stunning and we could not have been more satisfied with how beautiful the room looked. Tim and Tiger Lily/Tiger Weddings were so amazing and all of the flowers at/for our wedding reception were gorgeous. My husband and I had ideas for colors/color theme for the wedding but were open with actual flower types. Tim sat down with us and helped us choose flowers that fit our vision but would also work with each other and the hot weather in July. Also Tim was so helpful as he lead us through flower choices that fit the colors we were looking for and that were in season at the time (important to us for using local growers but Tim would have gotten us any flowers that we wanted). Any time I contacted Tim he got back to me ASAP, was helpful, and so nice to talk to. My bouquet and the bridesmaids were beautiful and the centerpieces were perfect for the tables and venue. Whatever style of flowers you are looking for – modest, elaborate, modern, classic, colorful or more neutral Tim and Tiger Lily/Tiger Weddings will do an amazing job.

I am ashamed that it took me this long to write a review about the beauty that is Tim and Tiger Lily by Encke. The entire staff is GOLD. Once you create the relationship with them...they will make sure you're happy whether it's the wedding or your anniversary :-)

Creatively, Tim and Jennifer are unmatched. I cannot even begin to describe how beautiful our bouquets, centerpieces, and even cake turned out to be. They listened to my vision and added their genius to make a product that I cry just thinking about.

Professionally, they will become as close as family to make sure you're happy and hello FAIR TRADE!! They are very responsive and super easy to work with. They will work with you no matter what your budget is BUT if you give them free reign...they will create a purely blissful wedding.

Hire them...this is one vendor a bride does not have to stress over.

I could not have asked for anything more perfect, professional and gorgeous! My centerpieces were to die for and the flowers for my girls, myself, my groom and groomsmen were perfect down to the color of the wire wrapped around the stems. Every detail of every flower placed in the center pieces were perfect, the trumpet vases were a perfect touch with the cymbidium orchids, parrot tulips, hydrangea, etc... The placement of the Swarovski crystals at the base of all centerpieces with the votive candles and the Victorian keys are still being talked about! The vases on the bridal table with each separate flower displayed to showcase the beauty of each was a genius idea Tim! I can't thank you enough! The bouquets oh so stunning and the pomanders just breath taking! I went on my honeymoon for two weeks and when I got back I found my flowers as fresh as the wedding day! Not one petal turned color they stayed so fresh in my fridge. I dried all the flowers and put them in a memory box which I will cherish forever! Tim and Jen my gratitude goes beyond measure. I was recommended by Camille of Smooth Sailing before I heard of Tiger Lilly Floral service. Tim has been very patient and accommondating to answer my questions in selecting the flowers. The temperature of our wedding day reached 95 degrees and Tim and his team managed to keep all the flowers fresh throughout. The flowers and the arch looks absoultely amazing which put the ice on the cake for a perfect day. Thank you.

We clicked right from the start with Tim. We tried to create an outside the box reception theme and Tim was quick to jump in with ideas. With a theme of "Love Saves the Day" based around the Mayan End of the World calendar we tried to use influences like Mexican fiesta flags, and an altar that was all Tim's idea. We were very happy with our flowers and Tim even brainstormed with us early on and helped us create something unique for the entry way into our ballroom based off our theme. We'd highly recommend them

Tiger Lily is an amazing floral shop! I had been going there for some time prior to selecting them as my wedding florist. Tim is so great! He is friendly, knowledgable, artistic, and PATIENT (you need patience to work with brides lol). He listened every time I changed my mind AND made me feel at ease whenever I had doubts about my choices. The end products were beyond my imagination and expectations! My bouquet was BREATHTAKING! My dark purple/black calla lillies and silverstone/lavender roses was so beautiful, just how I had hoped! My bridesmaids bouquets were equally as gorgeous! Honestly, I cared more about my own bouquet, I was just specific about the type of flowers I wanted/didn't want, I didn't think about much else but omg were they beautiful! Had I had any other bouquet, I am sure I would have been jealous. My centerpieces (which I changed designs I don't know how many times) came out exactly as I has hoped also. Everything was just phenomenal and the service/flexibility was fantastic. Thank you so much Tim, Jennifer, and everyone that helped make my florals sensational!

I found Tiger Lily here at the Wedding Wire because I was looking for some flower vendors close to my home and with good recommedations. I am so happy that I found them! Since our first meeting with Tim my now husband and I were sold, not only for Tim's nice and relax personality but because we could tell since the first moment that he was a real artist and truly a professional. We told him our ideas and color scheme and he created a great concept for our centerpieces and my bouquet. Later on and closer to the wedding date I had a meeting with him and his wife Jennifer to show me a sample of the flower arrangements we would have the day of the wedding and it was beautiful. Tim and Jennifer assured me that everything would be perfect on the wedding. Finally the day of the wedding was here and I can't tell you HOW PERFECT everything was. The flowers were amazing!!! People are still calling and telling us how beautiful the reception looked with the gorgeous flower centerpieces (we had a combination of hi and low centerpieces). The flowers truly made the reception. My bouquet was a dream and the flowers were so fresh that even after a week some of them were still alive. Tiger Lily was one of my favorite vendor to work with and they really worked within my budget.

If you are looking for a great florist, you have found the place! You would not regret picking Tiger Lily as your florist.

Tim was a pleasure to work with. I know very little about flowers and only had a slight idea about what I wanted. After explaining to him the setting of the wedding and giving him a color scheme to work with, Tim was able to come up with something better than I could have every imagined. The bouquets were gorgeous and unlike anything I've ever seen before. I had also asked him to decorate the cake with some flowers, again with minimal instruction, and it came out gorgeous!

I had also requested a simple arch for the wedding ceremony on the beach, and again my expectations were exceeded.

I highly recommend Tiger Lily by Encke. They are very knowledgeable and artistic with everything they do.

Tim was an absolute pleasure to deal with from the very beginning. He is amiable and quick to respond; more importantly, though we weren’t 100% certain what we wanted for our arrangements, he made us feel very comfortable that he knew what we were going for (ahem, a Cornell-red theme) and delivered beautifully. Tim was so helpful in our conversations, entertaining our ideas and offering his own – all while staying aware of our price point.

The one thing I knew I absolutely wanted was red callas for my bouquet and finding them seemed bleak at first but they found them and I could not have been happier with our bouquets! Our altar arrangements were lovely for the church (albeit a bit lost because we forgot about the pre-existing Easter decorations) but they doubled perfectly as decoration for our head table. Our submerged orchid centerpieces were exactly what we wanted and filled the space wonderfully (our venue space was a bit larger for our guest count) and Tim introduced a great unique factor, bringing artistic coil and smaller flowers to the outside of the tall vase atop a round mirror.

To top things off, Tim sent a card with a kind note (it had callas on the front) – it was the perfect testament to how thoughtful he had been through the whole process. We’d recommend Tim and Tiger Lily to any couple looking for a little bit of comfort amid the craziness (and fun!) that is planning a wedding.

I first found out about Encke from a flower arrangement that was sent to my home. I really liked their style so I kept the card and so when it was time to plan my wedding, I immediately thought of them.

They were very professional about everything -- our initial meeting went really great. I showed them pictures of my ideas, and right away I had the feeling that they understood my aesthetic and they were already giving their suggestions right away. I had the feeling that they can make my vision a reality. Shortly after our initial meeting, they sent their proposal -- it was very detailed, to the point that you can imagine what it would look like right away. They were very realistic in the sense that they were giving us names of flowers that were within the season I was getting married in (luckily it was a spring wedding so there were a lot of options) -- my point is, they are not going to use flowers from out of the blue just because I wanted it when they knew it was going to cost a lot. It was not just about them making the money, they offer valuable suggestions. Their prices were also very reasonable and when I had asked for a bit of a break, they were kind enough to give me a discount on some aspects too.

Whenever I emailed them, they responded in a timely manner. On the day of the wedding, they came on the agreed upon time. On the day of, I realized that I had forgotten 2 bouquets to be offered at the church, I asked if they could whip up something at such a short notice and they actually were able to step up to the plate and deliver, this shows their flexibility.

ALL of my guests loved the centerpieces, bouquets and the flowers that were put on our showcase table. They were MAGNIFICENT and they were exactly as what they had described on the proposal. I cannot complain at all, Tim and Jennifer exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend them to anyone, not just for weddings but on all occassions.

Breathtaking is the best word to describe what Tiger Lily did for our decorations and flowers during our wedding!! Tim at Tiger Lily and his team constructed an amazing alter with hanging flowers and prepared customized flower arrangements and heart-felt bouquets that reflected completely my and my husband's personalities. Our guests were truly amazed at the ingenuity behind the flower arrangements and continued to talk about them days after the wedding. Tiger Lily made our day not only personal but memorable! If you are looking for florists who can create original masterpieces that make your wedding or event just that much more special, I recommend, wholeheartedly, Tiger Lily!

Tiger Lily by Encke is the most wonderful florist you will ever meet. The owner is so personable and my fiance and I immediately struck up a jovial yet professional repoir with him. The first time we met, we brought pictures of ideas that we had for flowers, and the owner, Tim Blunk, had a pen and pad of paper ready to take notes. He suggested ideas and wrote up a proposal of the vision he had in his mind for our flowers. We read it, and it was spot on! We got married in the fall, and chose to use seasonal flowers. The prices were great and the quality of the flowers was unbelieveable. We met with Tim several times to make adjustments, and every time we met, he was always professional, prompt, flexible, and focused completely on us. On my wedding day, as soon as I saw my bouquet, my mother's corsage, my father's boutonniere, and my bridesmaids' bouquets, I knew that the rest of the flowers would be just as beautiful. I am completely sastisfied with Tiger Lily and would highly recommend them.

I had a very specific theme with certain flowers in mind for my wedding, wanting to have a mix of native and Australian flowers in bouquet, boutonniere, and corsages. Tim was very receptive, even offering other flowers I had not thought of, and he was just as excited as I was to see it all come together. He was very flexible with meeting times and offered to let me look at sample centerpiece to help me decide the final look before the wedding. On the day of, all flowers were delivered to the venue and the overhead garland for our outdoor ceremony were done before I arrived. Everything looked fresh and beautiful. Even my fussy relatives thought the flowers were beautiful. Tim is a kind and wonderful person, and it was great working with him. I highly recommend them as florists for wedding or anything flowers.

COVID Wedding Review of Awesome Floral Team

Tim & Jen are wonderful! They did floral gymnastics to make my wedding floral dreams come true. We’ve been working with them for two years to plan our wedding (through two covid-postponements) and when the day finally came, flowers were hard to come by! Due to climate change, the covid pandemic, and the China trade issues - it was very challenging to get any flowers, let alone the ones we had planned on. We really appreciated that Tim & Jen were so transparent about the issues we were facing. Despite these challenges, this husband-wife team delivered bouquets and centerpieces that exceeded our expectations. I’d highly recommend this pair. They’re fabulous (and fun to work with).

Tim was completely amazing! He is an artist for sure so give some time for your consultations/design process. But do use him! He went above and beyond to order me flowers from home which are not available here in the US, to create multiple proposals for me to work within my budget, and to put together bouquets that reflected my personality. I couldn't urge you enough to work with Tiger Lily!

Tim was an absolute pleasure to work with. The bouquets, center pieces and boutineers were absolutely exquisite! Tim really listened and executed my wedding flower vision perfectly. He's also quite charasmatic and amusing, which definitely helped relieve some of the stress throughout the wedding planning process.

I would highly recommend them in terms of quality, value and professionalism. My only complaint, I wasn't crazy about the ribbon choice, so if you're doing ribbon, I would be very specific as to the kind of ribbon you want. I think I left it open and was not thrilled with the organza ribbon chosen for some of the bouquets and the church, but I think it was my fault for not specifying.

However, overall everything was "spot on" in terms of the flowers and Tim created a true sense of partnership, he's a great vendor to work with!

bouquets were very small for the extreme amount of money I paid. he was late and didn't set up the room the way he said he would. also I didn't know someone else will be designer my flowers, I should of meet with her first, not after I gave a deposit and hated the first centerpiece she presented.
