75th Birthday Bash

Tie the Knott was the easiest to work with from the beginning to the end. From picking the menu, showing up ready to rock the party, maintaining the dishes, keeping the drinks full, maintaining a clean area and was awesome at tear down at the end of the night. Food was great, hot, and fresh. All 60 guests were pleased with the presentation and the taste. Definitely would use them again. Thanks for everything!!

Investor Appreciation

Our organization hosted an appreciation event for our investors, so stakes and expectations were relatively high. My initial consultation with Chef Pepe went great and I knew I was in good hands after that first interaction. As we finalized menus, dates, and timing, he was flexible, proactive, and professional. We were tripped-up by Hurricane Helene's RSVP and were forced to reschedule for safety. I know this must have impacted Chef's operation and profitability, but he was the perfect collaborator for getting things rescheduled. Finally, the event rolled around, and we were set-up with the perfect amount of time to spare before guest arrival. The presentation was great, the quantities were generous, and every guest found something (and more) they thought worthy of compliments. We are very grateful for Tie the Knot and Chef Pepe's exceptional quality!

Tie the knot catering and Chef Pepe catered our wedding on March 27, 2021, our food and service was everything chef said it would be, they are so reasonably priced you wonder how he does it, his 30 years of experience really showed, they took ever precaution necessary during the current pandemic, thank you for a great job.

Tie the knot catering was eveything we could've asked for. They worked well with our budget, provided everything we asked for and were clear with their needs. My guests LOVED the food provided and I will be using them for all my catering needs from now on. Brilliantly done.

Chef Pepe and his staff were so professional and polite not only to me and husband but to our guest the night of our wedding. Chef Pepe was a real joy to work with for our wedding. Would highly recommend him to any one. He was very flexible with our menu and answered any questions we had in a timely manner. We got so many compliments on how good the food was. Especially the peach cobbler we had over a groom's cake.

Chef Pepe did the Italian portion of my reception, and I have to say it was wonderful! The food tasted phenomenal, and I received so many compliments! Chef Pepe saved the day! The day before my son's wedding the reception venue told us there was no ice maker and they would not let us use any freezer space to bring in ice. I called Chef Pepe and he took care of all the ice and coolers to store it in for a reasonable price. He not only bent over backwards to make sure our event was a success but he also didn't take advantage of us in our time of need. I would highly recommend them and wouldn't hesitate to use them for any future events!

We had our wedding on 4/29/2018 and thanks to Chef Pepe, it was one of the best days of our lives. We got married outside in the courtyard, Chef Pepe was wonderful from the start. He was fun, professional and really took our vision and brought it to life. And the food! Oh my. Working in the industry, I love food and he was amazing and delivered everything promised he was AMAZING. We even had shrimp and grits (one of my Southern husband's favorites) Customized just for us! and a delicious antipasto bar with all of our favorite spicy foods. Over all they were incredible to work with and I would recommend them to anyone who is interested in having a dream wedding and great food and exceptional service.

Chef Pepe catered our wedding on November 4, 2017, I am a very happy bride and have 200 happy guests after having them for my catering, the food was delicious and the service was outstanding, if your looking for reliable and trusted catering and bartending service, I would highly recommend them. Tie The knot Catering idis a awesome job at my daughter's wedding on 10/20/17 we had heavy appetizers which included pork sliders, chicken sliders mini quiche, meatballs and a beautiful vegetable display. Very happy with the presentation and the price, we riced many catering companies in the area and Chef Pepe has the best prices and the great reviews and it was a pleasure working with him. My family and guests were thrilled about Pepe! We had barbeque at my wedding and it was fantastic! Pepe was courteous and kept me updated on any changes. Even on Easter, they were able to cater the wedding
My grandmother brought some vegan meals for the wedding, and the waitress helped making the meals. The clean up was already done before the wedding was over. The value is great for me since I only had 75 guests. Overall, I highly recommend Tie The Knot!

I used Chef Pepe for my wedding 3/11/17... I was amazed with my experience from day one. He gives off the feeling he will satisfy all your needs. That's exactly what he did a true man of his words. Food and bar service was excellent my family is still bragging about the food today... you can't go wrong with chef Pepe and I would definitely use him again for another event.

You can't go wrong shop around and you won't find as good of a deal you get with one price nothing but compliments from the guest and the servers bent over backwards to make sure every thing was right I would definitely recommend them and would use them again.

Chef Pepe was amazing in every aspect of this experience for us. He helped us come up with the best menu, appropriate for our party size, atmosphere, and venue. He was quick to respond to our inquiries. Despite having a relatively short notice, he was able to accommodate our requests. He was right on time with the food delivery. Everything he told us would happen occurred exactly as planned. Most importantly, the food was spot on! Our guests loved every single dish! Some of the dishes were cleaned out within minutes! Food was flavorful, perfectly seasoned. Chipotle chicken skewers were my favorite; my husband loved the quiche and chicken salad sliders. We really could not have hoped for a better catering service. Thank you very much, Chef Pepe!!!

I'm from Columbia SC and I had my wedding in Jekyll Island GA. I wasn't familiar with much around this area so I took to the web when I was looking for most things for the wedding. I found this company which is owned by Chef Pepe he was wonderful to work with. He was very professional and helped with anything I needed as far as the menu went. My menu consist of Chicken Breast Marsala, Baked Penne Alfredo, Mashed Potatoes and Italian Green Beans which were served buffet style. My guest loved the menu and the taste of the food. I heard most bride and grooms say they didn't get a chance to eat during the reception so we made sure we ate and it was delectable. I had my serves put some aside for us to eat later and the food that was put aside was warmed up the next day it was just as good as the night before or maybe better. I must say if you have to choose a caterer Chef Pepe's company is a must have.

Our experience using Tie The Knot Catering for bartending services at our wedding was flawless. From the moment I first spoke with Anthony until his company was hard at work for us during our reception, the experience was stress free. They were the one vendor that I did not have an issue with the day of the wedding.

We had over 200 people rushing the bar during cocktail hour and we received so many compliments about how efficient, friendly, and professional the bartenders were.

Chef Pepe and his team from Tie The Knot Catering were an absolute pleasure to work with! He was very attentive, easy to work with and made sure everything was covered. We found Tie The Knot catering when we started our catering hunt for our wedding. You will quickly find that they are affordable and amazing to work with. Working with Chef Pepe is such an easy process and he makes it a casual, fun time. We were able to do our tasting and we were even able to provide a few of our own recipes for dishes we requested. They make everything easy by making it a set price per person rather than charging you for every extra thing.

We heard from so many of our guests how wonderful the service and food was.

I would highly recommend Tie The Knot Catering to anyone, whether for your wedding or Social Event! You won't be disappointed.

Chef Pepe and his team were wonderful to work with! We searched high and low to find a caterer that was within our budget but that had exceptional food and service. Chef Pepe went out of his way to ensure we got exactly what we wanted at every step of the planning process. The food was exceptional and we still have guests raving about the herb roasted chicken and sirloin! If we ever have another event in Jacksonville, Chef Pepe and his team will be the ones we call on without a doubt.

I never got to personally meet Anthony but spoke with him numerous times on the phone and he was very pleasant to work with. I came to him with limited time and resources and he was able to pull it all together wonderfully. He even made changes on the spot after the contract twice with no issues. The food was outstanding and my family even enjoyed the leftovers after the wedding. I wouldn't ask for anything more and wish I could have got to meet him but glad he was able to handle it all promptly on his own. Wonderful man and wonderful food!

Everyone commented on how delicious the food was at our reception! We had a full dinner, 2 meats, salad, veggies, rolls, and prior to that appetizers. Given that it was our wedding day, we both ate very little at the reception, but fortunately, Chef Pepe and his team packaged up our leftovers, which were a generous amount, for us to take home. The setup was perfect. My decor team had left some items on the buffet tables which Chef's team used and set up nicely to coordinate with our table decor. The staff were professional and efficient. We were pleased with the service provided.
During the planning process, Chef helped me create a personalized menu, and throughout, he was very prompt in returning all of my calls to figure out the details.

I want to first start out saying we were so happy we chose both services that Tie The Knot Catering offers, The catering and food as well as the professional bartending service, they will really make your decision making easy, great food, fantastic service from all staff members, the bartenders were great and knew how to mix up the fun at our reception. Chef Anthony Pepe is absolutely wonderful! He was very responsive to my inquiries and worked patiently with me to establish an ideal menu for my wedding reception.The chosen menu was more than perfect and fit my budget surprisingly with so many awesome options. He took the initiative to coordinate with my wedding planner to determine time frames , set-up, and decor to ensure that there was no redundancy. Our food plans fell through at the last minute, but Chef Anthony saved the day!!! He was able to provide finger foods & sweets for our small reception with only 4 days notice!!! He created a nice sit down dinner menu but we only wanted apps & a few sweet treats... it was a very casual wedding :)

He was prompt, by immediately responding to emails, calls and delivering the food. He listened to our needs and provided exactly what we wanted - within our budget. The food was delicious, the presentation was pretty and we received tons of compliments from our guests.

The meatballs & brownies seemed to be the favorites of everyone!!

Tie The Knot Catering, catered our recent wedding and they did a spectacular job!! We worked with Chef Pepe and he was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. Chef suggested details that we might not have thought of on our own, but which ended up really enhancing our wedding.
Chef Pepe was also really responsive to all my emails and questions leading up to the event.

On the day-of the event everything went very smoothly and was very tasty too! The wait-staff was professional, personable, they were just all around top-notch and really made an effort to take care of my guests. We did a buffet-style dinner and the food was delicious (we received rave reviews from guests about both the Chef Carved Roast Beef and the Rosemary Chicken Breast). During dinner, Chef Pepe was in the reception room making sure people had what they needed and kept everything running efficiently.

I would definitely recommend Tie The Knot Catering to anyone looking for a wedding caterer!!

Yesterday we had a customer appreciation event at work and had Chef Pepe cater it. Our customers didn't realize the treat we had lined up for them and neither did we!! Every customer that came in filled their plate and loved it!! From the chicken pineapple sliders and teriyaki wings to the bruschetta and chicken penne pasta alfredo. He even made cookies and cupcakes that matched our company color!! It was a big hit!!! We will definitely use him again....thanks Chef Pepe!!

The reviews amongst Jacksonville regarding Tie the Knot Catering are Right!!! The Chef and his Staff Do Things Right. Their attitudes, attire, and professionalism were par none. The food was so fresh, hot, and loved by everyone at my event.

We actually planned our wedding date around his tightly booked schedule but very happy we did.

The contract and dates were spelled out nicely. There were no hidden fees or late booking up charges for random items like most caters do. The proof of excellence was in the pudding!!!

I recommend Chef Anthony and Tie the Knot Catering for any catering event needing Top Notch Food and Excellent Service.

There are several catering companies serving the city Jacksonville and St. Augustine, but I chose Tie The Knot Catering mainly because of their 5 Star wedding reviews, relating to how great Chef Pepe’s personal service and the high quality of his food. Now, I can attest to the fact that Chef Pepe did an outstanding job in catering our wedding, from the beautiful and tasteful food to the awesome presentation! Tie The Knot Catering is an honest company with outstanding customer service. Chef Pepe’s extreme knowledge was surely a benefit to us and the personal service from his experienced and professional staff was great.

Chef Pepe was awsome! We had originally planned on using another local catering company and one week before the wedding, they doubled the price and was very disorganized. "Delicious food and beautiful presentation"

Tie The Knot Catering, catered our wedding February 17, 2013 and we were very, very pleased with the results. From the Pineapple Tree & Cheese display to the main buffet service, everything was delicious and looked fantastic. Chef Pepe went beyond the call of duty numerous times during the planning process, nothing was too much trouble when it came to any changes I wanted to make. He took care of everything and worked incredibly hard to ensure we were happy. His catering team and servers were perfectly professional, charming and very attentive to all my guests.
All in all I had a really glorious wedding, we had a ball and so did all our guests.
We appreciate all your hard work and loved the food.

This was an engagement party, rather than the wedding. I assure you, Tie the Knot Catering WILL cater our wedding as well. Chef Anthony Pepe (and his staff) are absolutely wonderful. Chef Pepe catered my wedding reception for 175 guests at Oakleaf in Jacksonville. The food was fresh and phenomenal, and the service was top notch--all at a very reasonable price. Chef Pepe took care of everything, from the service cordination to the buffet setup. All I had to do was show up! It made for a wonderful, memorable evening. Everyone was asking who was my Caterer. . . it was that good. Chef Pepe is a man of this word and his food also speaks for itself.

Chef Pepe provided top notch service, I'm using Chef service for my wedding this summer but needed a last minute service for my company's Christmas party. Chef Pepe went beyond to make sure he was available and he moved a few appointments around. The beef tip was so tender I will be getting that for my wedding. Everyone was happy that he will be back when we have another party. I know a few caters I sample when I search for an outside caters and their services were double what Chef Pepe charge and their food was blah. So overall good food and service at an affordable price.

Tie The Knot Catering recently catered my wedding reception for 150 people, and I can honestly say that no detail was overlooked. The food they prepared was simple, fresh and tasty--they accommodated us in everything we suggested. We worked with Chef Pepe, and he was fantastic. TIE THE KNOT CATERING WAS MY CHOICE…. CHEF PEPE WAS AWESOME!

Chef Pepe and his crew was absolutely the best choice I made in my wedding planning. I've spoken with a lot of caterers and menu planners while trying to plan my wedding - Chef Pepe and Tie The Knot Catering was from the first time I spoke to him at the top of the list.

Their FOOD is mind blowing. Picky eaters all agree - Chef hit the mark with every dish. They also are great about incorporating great seasoning into this dishes I love his Rosemary Chicken and Chef Pepe was great about providing veggie options as well.

Their SERVICE is A+ as well. Extremely great with all our guests. Their enthusiasm for the food and service is very evident.

And for me, the BEST part- without even being asked, Chef Pepe took into consideration dietary restrictions, preparing a veggie and gluten-free option for those who had to have them.

Again…His service was 5 star perfection, the food incredible... and more importantly, Chef is a passionate local business owner who strives on 100% Customer Satisfaction from all his customers and you can see that in every aspect of his business. It just doesn't get better than that.

I can't recommend and thank Chef Pepe enough for making our special day one we will always remember!

“Fabulous 1st Class Chef and Staff”
Chef Pepe and his wonderful team catered our wedding July 7, 2012 in Jacksonville, Florida and they did an amazing job!!!!
From our first meeting Chef Pepe, he was so professional and knowledgeable and walked us through the whole process and offered a lot of advice on the colors / table layout / timeline of the wedding. As we were technically planning our wedding by ourselves, Chef Pepe acted not only as our caterer, but as a wedding planner also. She was so helpful in the preparation coming up to the wedding.
The day of the Wedding, everything went so smoothly. Many guests complimented us for the delicious food, how it was displayed and how friendly his staff was.
Many were impressed by their New York Style ! Lots of fun!!
The quality of our food, and service, and expert advice was very reasonably priced and everyone had only good words to say about them.

The best decision I made during the wedding planning process was using Catering By Chef Pepe” HANDS DOWN”. I could not be any happier working with the Chef Pepe and our wedding guests are STILL talking about how amazing the food was. I sincerely credit chef and the rest of his staff for with making my wedding day truly perfect.

My fiancé and I worked with Chef throughout the wedding planning process. The caterer was the first planning step we took (aside from setting the date.)

We met with Anthony and instead of just talking about menu, he walked with us through exactly what we envisioned for the event as a whole. We walked through time lines and nailed down details, and he brought up so many ideas and suggestions that I hadn't even thought of! He made my fiancé, mom, and me so comfortable; I knew we could trust him from the get-go.

The food was delicious, the presentations of everything were STUNNING, and Chef Pepe was there himself telling us about the dish which was quite an honor.

We had no coordinator, and the reception was at our family's home on a beautiful horse farm, being able to count on Chef Pepe and his staff put all of us at ease so we could enjoy the big day.
On the wedding day, Every staff person was smiling and so helpful.
I really cannot say enough about how wonderful my wedding day was BECAUSE of our chef. They are not just caterers. I think the best part about Anthony and the team is that they are not there just to serve food and leave. He took care of “ EVERYTHING. “

We just want to let anyone that may be looking for a catering company and world class chef, read his reviews and look no further. Chef Pepe helped make our special day wonderful. We decided to get married in a short period of time...... a week notice...... and he pulled it off as if we had been planning it for months! We were able to have a beautiful wedding. Fully decorated buffet with flowers and beautiful draping on the buffet and risers for our chafing dishes. Even rose petals on the buffet line. I did not have to worry about a thing! My experience with Chef Pepe really was everything that a busy (and a perfectionist) bride could ever hope for! From my very first phone call with him, I kind of had a feeling that I'd be working with them. Chef Anthony Pepe was the one that designed the menu, prepared the food and managed our catering. He was very friendly, very patient, very professional. I knew he's crazy busy, but he always took the time to make sure he answered any of my questions or concerns.
My wedding was in St. Augustine, Florida on the beach at sunset.
He worked with me in terms of details and pricing, everything was very fair and easy.
On our actual reception, everything was set up perfectly, I didn't have ANYTHING to worry about. He took care of everything. he also worked with my venue directly , which was great!
That was one less thing for me to worry about.

THE FOOD WAS FANTASTIC !!!!!!
I wish he owned a restaurant so I could go get those food whenever I feel like.

Chef Pepe catered my birthday party. I contacted at least 10 other caterers before deciding on him. He prices were unbelievably reasonable and he contacted me immediately after my initial email. He also sent pictures of food he had catered before to give me an idea of the portion size, which was extremely helpful. He arrived early and the food was great - more than enough for everyone. The service and responsiveness was outstanding. The young man who arrived with the food was pleasant and did an outstanding job at getting things set up for us. The food was hot as promised even after the hour plus drive from Jacksonville to St. Augustine. The only complaint I heard from my guests was that the food lacked a little seasoning and they were in search of salt and pepper. That may just be a personal taste though. Overall I would recommend this vendor for your next party or special occasion.

Chef Pepe and his staff were so nice and welcoming! He was very flexible and willing to work with his company!

Chef Pepe was great to deal with from the beginning. He helped us adjust the menu to our needs but made it still fit within our budget. He even helped us out by doing our rehearsal dinner on short notice. We were very happy with the food selection and choices Chef came up with for us. It was delicious and we got many positive comments on the food. Great value, great service, great food.

Very responsive, flexible, and professional.

(I like food with a ton of flavor and a bit of spice, so some things tasted a little bland to me but OVERALL--- great value!)

Pepe is really easy to work with and very fun--- P.S. everyone loved the beef tenderloin!

Chef Pepe was very easy to work with and willing to customize our package with only a minor change in price. He was terrific with our guests, particular about all the details and presented a fabulous buffet outdoors. I did not have to worry about anything and every detail was delivered exactly as promised!

Chef Pepe was fantastic to work with. As I was planning my wedding during my senior semester of college, I did not have a lot of time to devote to the particulars, and Chef Pepe was very understanding. The food was delicious, his staff was wonderful and attentive - all in all, a great experience!

Chef Pepe made me feel very comfortable from the start he really worked with our budget which wasn't huge to get a decent menu for our wedding. I wanted more than I could really afford and he really worked with us the best he could from that outlook. The food was great especially the pulled pork that we request. Toward the end of planning things did start to get rough with communication. I really didn't appreciate the communication style but there was an apology given and things got better. Chef sent his assistant manager and a worker to do the event and I must say they did a fantastic job. She checked on us several time and made sure we had everything we needed before they were finished with the event. Overall a good experience.

Anthony and his team were very accommodating and pleasant to our guests. They were punctual and remain professional throughout the entire reception. Anthony provide helpful suggestions and he made the cost very affordable. I would definitely use his services in the future.

Food was hot and tasty. Only suggestion for improvement is that the roast beef was carved paper thin and it would have been nice to have a piece that was thicker.

Overall a good event. Minor scheduling issues but was resolved. Appreciated his expertise in building the contract to not make us stuck paying too much.

Everyone enjoyed food. It was vendor's first time at venue but at the end things worked out.

Food was not exactly what we agreed to in written contract, cheap Walmart crackers on platter. Staff was wonderful and we did get compliments on food and service from our guests. Chef and staff left before our cake was cut even though we paid for cake cutting and coffee station and the Chef was seen taking the leftover roast beef to his vehicle without offering to leave it for the remaining guests/ wedding party at the reception.

The lemon chicken and scallopped potatoes were good, but the salad looked like it was dumped from a prepackaged bag and the serving trays were all tinfoil. I had several guests report to me that the staff were rude as was the Chef. would not recommend.

I was really disappointed. I was planing to have 4 servers and then I cancelled them because Chef Pepe told me that I will not need any server because he will take charge of everything. I paid for staff and he brought just one person for more than 100 people. I ended cleaning most of the dirty dishes from the guest tables. I contracted him because of the reviews about the good services and good staff. The food was good. Another thing that he said is that he will stay until the party end but he disappear just after we and part of my family helped me to pick all the dirty dishes. I remember that I asked him if he will pick uo the dirty plate from the tables and he said that they don't do that but he can make me a favor and help me at that time I was in shock and I asked to my family to help me so I wasted a lot of time putting the dirty dishes on trash bag instead of enjoying the party. If all the previous reviews are true, he just treated us in a different way. I will like to know why.

Please beware of Chef PePe with Tie The Knot Catering. He catered our 10/14 wedding and while he “delivered” the food it was in the words of our guest and ours disgusting. We had a buffet with pulled pork, beef tips with Marsala sauce, bbq chicken,green beans, mash potatoes and Mac and cheese. He stated our menu was to specific for a tasting and when I asked questions or made suggestions he became almost bullying and aggressive with me and my husband. He is very unprofessional to the point of yelling at my day of coordinator in the presence of our guest and to my husband and I when we called to discuss the food and his unprofessionalism. He became very defensive and used profanity. He overtalked us through the entire conversation and when asked how can we resolve this he basically told us that we were just out for money. I asked to meet with him to maturely discuss this matter and he told us that we would have to wait until Jan. cause he has weddings lined up. I would love to go to one of his upcoming events to understand if this was just a one off.
It’s really about accountability for actions which he felt he did nothing wrong.
