Beautiful Venue, Outstanding Service, and Seamless Planning Experience

They provide comprehensive packages for both venue and catering at very competitive rates. Working with Mya was a breeze—she offered a wide selection of beautiful decorations, making customization easy. The food was outstanding, and thanks to her meticulous organization and expertise, our day unfolded seamlessly. The entire staff was courteous and professional, and the chapel and reception area were simply stunning.

Starega Wedding

Had a rehearsal dinner 9/6/24, they provided brisket and chicken, mash potatoes, mac & cheese, rolls and a salad. Ice teas, coffee and other beverages were provided too. It was all fantastic, most of us had seconds and the guys had thirds. We even had food left over. For the price of 30 people, the reception place all to ourselves, with music, it was more than worth the minimal cost. Went from rehearsal to dinner in minutes. I believe this is the best way to go, easy, no travel to restaurant, fantastic food , the whole place to yourselves, no lost guest, can’t ask for anything BETTER!
Wedding 9/7/24
Had the facility all day and night. Had about 100 people there. Things went great and no mishaps…. We were able to do things that made life easier for all. Mya (director) kept things moving according to our plans and I do believe all we ask was provided. I even asked for small last minute additions for wedding party and it was provided no problems. The Chapel and reception hall were Beautifully decorated, I was highly impressed with the rehearsal and wedding. I know this may seam a little out of the way but you will be more than pleased you decided to have your wedding here. I did not hear of one complaint from guest about the location. We had guest from California, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Florida and others really enjoyed this location in Norman, Ok. Outstanding Venue!!!

It was excellent. Very pleased

We got married at Thunderbird Chapel in April 2023. The wedding was absolutely beautiful. Mya the owner officiated our wedding and did a great and even added some personal touches. Everything was perfect from the wedding to the reception. The food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place for any event. Mya and her staff are professional but make it fun. Dream Day Wedding

Thunderbird Chapel is a hidden gem. It is so beautiful! The manger, coordinator, and owners are all wonderful! I moved our wedding up due to an illness in my family and I couldn’t thank them all enough for what they did to make our day a beautiful dream! It’s one thing to have a beautiful wedding venue, but the people who helped were also a pleasure! They did all of the work behind the scenes to make our day perfect! I wouldn’t have had our wedding at any other place. The beauty of this wedding chapel will take your breath away. I highly recommend having your wedding here!!!

Beautiful chapel and nice people!

We got married on Oct 12th, middle between summer and autumn. The Chapel is incredibly beautiful and the team there is nice and helpful! The chapel is very good for photography during both day and night! At night, we light up all the candles and I love it! The people there helped a lot and organized everything well! I highly recommended this police.

Great Experience

My wife and I couldn't have been more pleased with the experience we had at Thunderbird Chapel. The staff (especially Tammie) was amazing helping us with the little details and didn't overlook anything. Their recommendations for catering, the officiant and a DJ were also excellent. The venue itself was gorgeous and the perfect size for a ceremony/reception of around 130 people. It was one of the most affordable venues we looked at as well although that isn't the reason we chose it. Honestly I can't say enough about how great everything was, my wife and I wouldn't change a single thing. Would recommend to anyone in the Oklahoma area.

Beautiful Wedding

I can’t say enough about how much we loved our experience at Thunderbird Chapel. Tammy, Kristy and the rest of the staff were amazing to work with. I gave them a basic idea of how I wanted things set-up and decorated, and everything looked PERFECT! Once my husband and I were “locked away” in our bridal rooms the staff kept us updated on what was happening and made sure we didn’t see each other before the ceremony. I have an autistic son that is sensitive to loud sounds and large crowds. The whole staff was so kind and loving with him. They made sure he was taken care of while were we busy with our guests. During the reception when sounds were more than he could handle they took him to the bridal room to let him relax. They would go check on him throughout the reception to let me know how he was doing. As a parent of a special needs child they will never know how much that meant to us! I can’t recommend this beautiful venue and staff enough!

Absolutely Incredible!!

Thunderbird made sure my wedding was perfect!! They also made sure that my husband and I got to eat and they made everything flow so smoothly! Also when my husband and I were ready to leave they saw it on our faces and helped us get out of there!! 100% you should have your wedding there!!!

We recommend everything! The chapel is beautiful, as well as the reception area, bride’s room and groom’s area.
The staff was personable and sought and achieved perfection. If you tour it, you will see the beauty inside and outside in the wooded area....but just wait until you see it in the evening with candles lit and outside twinkling lights with their reflection in the cathedral ceiling. Our bride said it was breath-taking - an image she will never forget, nor will the guests who commented to me during the reception that it was the most beautiful wedding they had attended.
That staff assures you that it is your wedding and whatever you can dream, they can create. BRAVO Thunderbird, coordinators Christy, Tammie, and of course, sweet Cheryl.

The Best Wedding Experience!

I had a lovely evening wedding at Thunderbird Chapel. The staff and wedding planners (Christy, Tammie and Cheryl among the few) are so accommodating and will do everything in their ability to make sure your wedding is perfect. You can bring in any outside vendor and alcohol, and they will set up decorations for you. The bridal and groom's rooms are an excellent space for getting ready, especially with a restroom attached to the bridal room. The Chapel itself is absolutely stunning! Hidden in the woods, this venue will provide you with a gorgeous atmosphere for your wedding either during the day or in the evening. My guests had no complaints and truly thought it was a beautiful ceremony and reception setup. Thunderbird Chapel will not disappoint!

A bunch of wonderful people who do wonderful things for couples! If I had a question they would answer me back within the day. The food was wonderful, the Sharla and the other girls who worked there were and patient and perfect to us. I couldn't have asked for a better place to have my wedding and reception. They were great! They over saw everything on my wedding day. I didn't have to worry about a think. They also made sure I had water in me since I have an illness. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Everything about this place and the people who work here is incredible. We look and many venues, and not only was Thunderbird Chapel one of the nicest ones, it was also half the price or less. Sharla and staff were so, so personable and stayed on top of all the calendar deadlines and details.
***On the wedding day my cake did not arrive- Thunderbird staff liaised with the vendor, and when it turned out the vendor was not going to make it, the owner of the chapel went out and bought another cake at a local bakery. They did not charge us a dime for this.***
These are people who actually care about your wedding, and want it to be as wonderful as it is in your mind.

You guys are consummate professionals and genuinely kind people. Thank you so much for caring for us and making sure I didn't have to worry about a single thing on our wedding day. You went above and beyond every step of the way and made us feel right at home.

Thunderbird Chapel was outstanding! They were extremely helpful and everything was set up as was specified at our detail meeting. During out meeting they clarified details I had not even considered. Our coordinator was fantastic at handling our large, loud group during the rehearsal; and during the reception she found a way to let me know what I needed to know without interrupting the party. The place was beautiful, and the food they catered was fantastic. They even packed us up some cake to take after the reception, for which we were very grateful because we forgot to get any! I couldn't have been more happy or imagine having had my wedding anywhere else!

Amazing place to have a wedding! Not only is the staff superior to work with, the scenery is stunning! The acoustics are beautiful for live music. I had a string quartet play for the ceremony, and they mentioned to me tgat they would love to have a recital there! Top notch venue in OKC!

We chose Thunderbird Chapel for our wedding. It turned out to be the best decision ever! It is such a beautiful place! Goldie, who we talked to from day one, was exceptional in explaining their processes. I called several times with questions and she answered them all even though I felt like I might have asked a few silly or repetitive questions, she never made me feel that way. She also was the coordinator on our wedding day. She and her staff were superb. If anything went wrong, we sure didn't know it! I will definitely refer them for anyone else's events/weddings!!

We were really struggling with finding a place to get married since we don't belong to a church. Thunderbird chapel was perfect for us. Having the church-like feeling in the chapel was great! Also, having the reception immediately following was nice too. Guests didn't have to leave to go somewhere else for reception.

Thunderbird Chapel along with their staff were absolutely amazing. Everything turned out perfect!!! Our wedding was fantastic and we wouldn't want it at any other venue. We were searching for a venue with an outdoor, intimate feel that was customizable to our homemade decor. Thunderbird Chapel was PERFECT. Not only was the setting just plain beautiful, but the staff was wonderful. We had loads and loads of homemade decorations, homemade wine, homemade soap, etc. and the staff made sure everything came back with us. We didn't worry about a single thing all evening. The staff was so fantastic - they even made small plates of food for us and left them at our table (they wanted to be sure we ate something during our own reception). We were so happy with the venue and the staff that we would HIGHLY recommend this venue to any couple looking for a beautiful, intimate wedding that is care-free on your big day.

As soon as I got engaged I searched for wedding chapels and venues in the OKC area. Thunderbird Chapel was the first one I seen. I looked at the website and loved it. Over the next couple of months I looked at other venues, but, to me, neither compared to the beauty of the chapel or the price of the package. I had my heart set on Thunderbird and was able to book if for my wedding and reception. The staff is very nice and willing to work with you. I am a pretty indecisive person and a little unorganized, but the staff still responded to my questions and requests politely and professionally. I had last minute changes to my decor, but the staff was right on it and everything looked so wonderful. I added in my own chair sashes and it went very well with the decor. I was not even able to make it to my rehearsal because of traffic from the recent tornado! Even with that unfortunate event, the staff was still able to direct my wedding party to the best of their abilities and the end result was a lovely ceremony. I received many comments on how beautiful the entire wedding and chapel was. I had a vision for my wedding and Thunderbird Chapel made it come true!

The staff at Thunderbird is the best around. They helped me plan the most perfect wedding i could of ever imagined. The value is great, and incredibly stress free. Having a location that provides a bundle helped me focus on the more important factors of the wedding, rather than stressing of the details! i would highly suggest you take a look at their beautiful location and wonderful people!

The people working here were so friendly and helpful. Always ready to answer questions before wedding and always had a pleasant, patient response. During rehearsal they kept us focused and on time. The wedding day was amazing with smooth coordinated work by professionals. We did not have to think about hardly anything except having fun. I thought clean up would be hectic but they had everything together and all we had to do was carry it out. Thank you Thunderbird for a memorable day.

This place was absolutely wonderful!! The coordinator was super friendly and caring and we have a very special experience. They are very efficient and have everything provided that a bride might forget to bring the day of her wedding (ex. bridal room stuff). The food tasted so good. The staff at Thunderbird Chapel were the absolute best from the first moment we walked in the door. Every time we asked a question, they always answered us promplty. I was told by a friend that this venue will take care of literally EVERYTHING. And they were right! Even a decoration that was put in last minute they quickly verified what I wanted and took care of it! It was phenomenal! Beautiful everything.

We brought our decorations to rehearsal and on her wedding day all we had to do was show up. Everything was set up and it looked amazing. At the end of the reception they had everything packed up and ready to go home by the time we got back inside after the send off. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were happy. Sugars made the cake exactly the way my daughter requested. The DJ, Ray, of Ray's Kickin' Karaoke, did an outstanding job with the reception. As the mother of the bride it was a pleasure to get to enjoy my daughters special day without worrying about the details.

After what felt like an exhaustive internet search to check out all possible ceremony and reception venues, I seemed to keep coming back to Thunderbird Chapel. I didn’t have a home church with a building suitable for a wedding and the idea of holding the ceremony and reception at two different locations didn’t appeal to me as most of my family and other guests would be coming from out of state for the wedding. Once we finally narrowed it down to a place that could host both ceremony and reception, Thunderbird rose to the top. We visited and fell in love. The chapel’s soaring ceilings, wood interior, and windows looking out onto Oklahoma greenery were simple and natural but very elegant. The attached reception area had room for everything necessary…tables, chairs, buffet line, and a dance floor! The package included a day of the wedding coordinator, décor & clean up in the reception area, and a $300 cake voucher at one of three vendors. There were no strange and unnecessary things in the package to up the cost (things we saw at similar places were ice sculptures, limos, chocolate covered strawberries…nice but not necessary).We booked immediately without visiting any other venues and began the 11 month countdown to our wedding. The staff were very responsive to phone calls and e-mails and had great insight for all of my questions. Leslie was especially helpful and fielded my stressed out calls the week of the wedding about random things like whether she thought there would be a tornado on my wedding day. The rehearsal the day before the wedding was run very efficiently and yet was still fun. On the day of the wedding, I felt a great sense of peace and excitement as soon as I got to the chapel because I knew everything would be ok from there on out. Our coordinator was careful to check in with us about all the details and helped everyone know where to be when. The décor in the reception area was just as we had asked it to be and looked lovely. I was so glad that my female relatives didn't get stuck staying up till midnight working on table decor! The only hitch in an otherwise perfect wedding was that our recessional song was begun too early and drowned out a special benediction written for us that was being read by our pastor. It was likely due to lack of very specific communication with the sound tech about the exact moment it needed to start, but he played it again at the right time and we skipped down the aisle in glee. We did not use Thunderbird’s catering service because my husband and I are both foodies. I was not impressed with the menu choices, so we used an outside caterer. However, a friend who was married here used their service and said the food tasted good. It would probably be a good choice for budget conscious brides who aren’t as interested in a super cool menu. Because we used an outside caterer, we had to pay $2 per person. However, this covered the use of the dishes, silverware, and glasses from the chapel so it wasn’t a big deal to us. The Thunderbird Chapel wait staff seemed to be interacting well with our caterer’s staff, and there were plenty of people to refill drinks or clear plates. Two things that I was a bit worried about were the strict space restrictions on guests and the time limit of five hours. However, each of these turned out fine for us. Thunderbird Chapel can only seat 130 people and charge a fee per person above that. I was so worried that we would be close to or above our limit. But as all the wedding experts tell you, there were people who canceled on us in the last week or two and then quite a few no shows the day of the wedding. So we were well under our RSVP list of 120 guests. Also, we had the chapel from 5-10 on a Saturday night with the wedding starting at 7:00. Although we had the option to purchase another hour, we hoped we would be able to squeeze everything into our allotted time. By choosing to see my groom before the wedding, we breezed through our post-ceremony pictures in 20 minutes and had plenty of time to eat, greet, and dance before leaving about 9:40pm. The staff were wonderful and helpful with anything we needed, including bustling my dress. Our deposit was waiting for us when we got home from the honeymoon, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, I would recommend this venue for anyone who is confident that 130 spots would hold their nearest and dearest family and friends. The beauty of the venue, the great service, and the value for what you receive make it a great choice!

The Thunderbird Chapel was the most amazing part of my Wedding I felt like a true princess. The staff was amazing, they took care of everything. Everyone that came to my wedding had nothing but wonderful things to say about the staff and the beauty of the place it was magical and I would recommend it to any bride that is thinking about getting married. The only thing that I would have done different is I would have had a microphone up on stage so everyone could hear what we was saying which the chapel would have supplied. From the moment we walked into Thunderbird Chapel, we knew it was the place we had been looking for. We looked for six months before we found them. Ron & Judy (owners) were so helpful, friendly, and loving, it was almost like we had always known them. Judy is a licensed psychologist and for no extra cost, provides marriage counseling prior to the wedding day. Once you complete the marriage counseling she will give you a certificate to present for a discount on your marriage licensed. We got our license for $5.00 compared to full price $50.00. Then she will help guide you in your ceremony, and the reception. They then provide and run the sound system during the ceremony and they did our reception. You can also have a DJ if preferred. She made sure we stayed happy, calm and had everything me, my fiance, and our wedding party could ever need. They also handled when the flowers and cake were delivered. They made sure our reception was set up just as we discussed and that everything ran smoothly. They were also one of the cheapest chapels we found for all the beauty, and service we were given. Love, love, love this place. They made my wedding PERFECT!

Thunderbird Chapel is an absolutely beautiful venue to get married if you are having a smaller wedding. Their staff is amazing, and they walk you through every detail of the wedding, so you have your own personal wedding planner to keep you calm and collected. The entire day from start to finish flows so smoothly, that you don't have to worry about anything. This chapel was definitly worth the price. If you haven't seen this chapel, you must definitely check it out!

Loved everything about Thunderbird Chapel! The wedding package they provide is absolutely perfect for a bride that just wants a simple wedding. Not many decorations are necessary because of how beautiful the scenery is surrounding the chapel. The only thing I could think they could improve on is asking someone other than the bride for the reception events like the first dances, the bouquet/garter toss, etc. I wish they would have asked my announcer. However, my keg didn't tap, and the owner of the chapel ran to the gas station before anyone could notice and purchased enough beer to cover the keg. They have tight schedules, though, so make sure everyone is on time for everything, because they don't usually budge on time.

I held my wedding at Thunderbird Chapel. First of all, it's gorgeous. I got multiple compliments about how pretty the venue is. The staff was super helpful and accommodating. I had 10 little kids involved in my wedding and they worked with them to make sure they understood everything they were supposed to do. They have a specific Wedding Coordinator that makes sure your wedding goes to plan. It's super helpful.

They also have a lot of decorations that you can use for no additional fee, including vases, tablecloths, tables, chairs, a memory chair, table runners, and table mirrors.

The girls' dressing room is spacious and very pretty. The pictures from the dressing room turned out amazing. I didn't spend much time in the boys' dressing room, but the groom said it was big enough and they had a lot of fun in there.

The catering was so-so. The fruit and cheese and punch was all delicious, but I didn't get a lot of compliments on the Pulled Pork Sliders. Maybe some of the other food options would be better.

You aren't allowed to use glitter or confetti at this venue, but they provide bubbles for the send-off. The bubbles looked amazing in the video and in pictures, but one downside is that when the bride and groom walk through the bubbles, it gets in their eyes. Randy and I were squinting and blinking like crazy. Still, we got cute pictures.

All of the staff are very friendly and approachable, which is a big plus, especially on such a hectic day.

Pricing for Thunderbird Chapel is $3900 for their wedding package. At first that seems rather pricey, but, honestly, with everything they throw in, it's an amazing deal. The Wedding Coordinator alone is worth $1,000. Ours really kept everything moving. I had planned out everything to the most minute detail, but with all that craziness, I couldn't hardly keep up. If it wasn't for her, our wedding would've been a lot more chaotic.

I would definitely recommend Thunderbird Chapel!

We loved the venue at first sight, but is was over our price range. After looking at other sights and thinking about potential travel demands between ceremony and reception in March, we decided having everything in one location was the best and we just hoped it was going to be worth it. Well, it was! After we resolved to pay the price, we were delighted in every way! We used only one floral arrangement down front as the mums and plants they already had were so naturally simple and elegant. They were understanding about uncertainties in our planning, patient in getting responses from us and very accommodating when we found we had some guest with special dietary needs. Our wedding planner was very thorough, but unflappable when we didn't know what we were going to do or when we changed our minds. I thought our wedding was simple and unspectacular, but she made it seem like the most important event of her week. They had ample staff and were ready for everything. We had over 100 guests and parking was challenging, but no one complained. We would recommend to anyone who wants a beautiful setting with caring staff.

This chapel is just beautiful. The staff is wonderful and I experienced no issues during our wedding. Leslie, the wedding coordinator, was wonderful! I really don't know what we would have done without her...there probably would have been a lot of standing around looking at one another wondering what to do next if it wasn't for her! Thank you Leslie!

The rest of the staff was wonderful too. They packed up food for us which was super sweet as we did not have enough time to eat during the festivities! They also packed up extra cake for not only us but for my grandparents who were unable to make it to the wedding.

I would definitely recommend the Thunderbird Chapel. It is beautiful anytime of year and the staff made our day flow so smoothly and saved us a lot of stress! We really appreciated everything they did!

We loved the great service and beautiful facility at Thunderbird Chapel. A mid-spring wedding made the chapel feel like we were outside in a tree covered chapel. And, while we maxed their capacity of 130, the beautiful courtyard between the chapel and reception hall made our reception perfect. We used their catering staff and heard so many compliments from our guests. Best mac and cheese and spinach dip EVER! The staff was professional, helpful, always smiling, and truly recognized this as an individual special event. Thank you Thunderbird for making our special day perfect!

When I booked with Thunderbird Chapel I had already put a deposit down on another venue. We originally wanted outdoors, but the only places we could find were outrageous in price. We finally settled on another venue that was just okay. I attended a bridal show a few weeks later and came across the Thunderbird Chapel. I instantly fell in love with the photos and booked a time to go talk to them. My mom was with me when I went and spoke to them and she agreed to eat her deposit so we could book this new venue, as she was just as in love with it as I was. They ended up cutting us a deal on catering since we were for fitting a $500 deposit somewhere else. It was very generous and they were not required to do that. Since booking, the manager of the chapel has switched, but I have not had any problems as of yet. The venue is gorgeous and they're very accommodating to everything you need! If I had to say I had any problem with this venue, it would just be that I don't feel like communication is A+. as my wedding nears closer, I feel like I should receive calls reminding us when final payments are due (yes, I know when they're due but it would be nice to know that the Chapel was helping) or asking about plans, etc. Other than that, I feel like they've gone beyond what I expected when I originally booked this place. If I had to do it all again, I would still book the Thunderbird Chapel 100 times!

We loved our wedding and our experience at Thunderbird. The only reason why I am giving 4/5 on flexibility is because a thunderstorm caused the power to go out right before the wedding. We were able to wait it out a bit until it came back on and were able to proceed as normal, but I think they should have had a generator for problems like this, especially since it has happened in the past. Overall, great staff and great venue. All of our guests thought it was absolutely gorgeous. We were happy we got married here.

Thunderbird is beautiful and the girls there were great. The food was also good. My finances home was lost in the May 20 th tornado (5 months before our wedding) he did not have any renters insurance and they were very understanding with our situation. They do take your four hour rental time very serious and they do not want you to stay past your time unless you want to spend the additional money to rent more time. Which I understand. All and all I was happy with my wedding I thought it went well and was beautiful and would encourage a future bride to have her wedding there. No regrets on my be half.

October 2025 wedding

We were on a budget due to the economy. So my now husband niece wedding coordinator did an astounding job. I loved her and when visiting this venue, we discovered she was the one running it! So I knew it was going to be it. She is down to earth, helpful, knowledgeable, very well seasoned, and she is accommodating! They cater if you like or you can bring in any vendor you'd like to figure out the best way of setting up for the wedding day. She helps set up the reception area long as you have everything in order the day of and same with ceremony. Long as everything is already assembled. She has helpful workers that help out through out the night. To me it was worth it if you didn't have a wedding planner or the extra help in hand. The chapel makes it so worth it too.

Outdoors brought In

The Chapel is gorgeous with bringing nature in with all the windows. The staff is kind and helped with making my wedding as little stress as can be planning it in 3 months. They have decor to add to center pieces decor which I did. My guest raved about how well the staff was during the reception. I'm so blessed that I got married at Thunderbird Chapel.

The Thunderbird Chapel is a beautiful venue!! The location is perfect to stay away from traffic and the scenery is beautiful for pictures. The only downfall was the location of the bathrooms in conjunction with the bridal rooms. This was a high congestion area due to restroom breaks and people were constantly wanting to "peek" into the rooms to say "hello" when everyone was getting ready. This became very frustrating when getting dressed and trying to take pictures.

The chapel was absolutely beautiful! The day-of staff was excellent at keeping the bride at ease (i.e. not letting her in on all the little stuff that was causing issue). They also took care of all the setup and coordination of the wedding and reception. The only real complaint about the Thunderbird Chapel was that they were not always very easy to get ahold of, and that they were not good at all about reminding us of upcoming payment due dates. So, if you are really good at managing your payment due dates, this should not be an issue for you at all.

I was told I could invite 130 people to my reception and 120 people showed. Trust me when I tell you that the reception hall DOES NOT accommodate 120 people comfortably, much less 130. There was no room to dance or move about the room. I also learned that a table and 10 chairs were pulled so 7 of our guests had no place to sit down and eat - completely unacceptable! I got word that my family that drove 12 hours round trip for our wedding ate dinner in the chapel!! We had place settings so imagine how those guests felt when they found their name on the table card and then there was NO place for them to sit. I am appalled and completely embarrassed. We had many people that came from half way across the country to be with us on our wedding day to celebrate and guests were treated so disrespectfully and I didn't even know what had happened until a week after the wedding. I also got word that an effort was made to find those guests that were displaced and seat them but I guess not enough of an effort because we had people standing in the hall awkwardly and my mom didn't have a place to sit all night. I cannot imagine what they do about the reception space to accommodate if they actually DO have a full house of 130 because it was incredibly uncomfortable with 120. I guess the answer to that is that they just don't and then you find out later. It's money > quality here. If you must choose this venue for whatever may compel you to do so, invite 90 people or less. If that doesn't suit you, find a bigger venue - this place is NOT meant for more than 90 people! Don't let them tell you otherwise!

Horrible Experience

We recently rented Thunderbird Chapel for a wedding, and unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. Here are the main issues we encountered:
1. Cleanliness: The bathrooms were dirty and lacked essential supplies like paper towels, which was highly inconvenient for our guests.
2. Double Booking: Another wedding was taking place in the chapel simultaneously, which was not communicated to us beforehand and caused unnecessary confusion and disruption.
3. Coordinator Absence: The wedding coordinator, who is also the event center owner, was absent without any prior notice. Instead, she sent a replacement who was not briefed on our arrangements and was extremely rude.
4. Uninvited Guests: People from another upcoming wedding showed up to take pictures outside the event center during our event, which was very intrusive.
5. Unmet Catering Promises: We paid for lemonade, but none was provided. The food service was slow, leading to insufficient quantities and making our guests feel uncomfortable. We even had to take many guests out to a restaurant afterward due to the inadequate food supply.
6. Courtyard Condition: The courtyard, which was promised to be ready and blooming for our pictures, was in the same unkempt state as it was when we first visited 3-4 months prior.
7. Kitchen Hygiene: The kitchen where the food was stored and prepared was in a deplorable state, raising serious health concerns. I'm convinced it wouldn't pass a health department inspection.
8. Lack of Response: After the event, I contacted the owner multiple times to discuss these issues. She promised to look into them upon her return from a trip but never followed up. Despite repeated attempts, she has not returned my calls or messages.
9. Deposit Refund: We have yet to receive any of our deposit back, which the venue owner had promised to refund.
In summary, our experience at Thunderbird Chapel was disappointing and frustrating. The lack of professionalism and basic hospitality made what should have been a joyous occasion into a stressful one. Do not book!

VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! They charged me for service they did not provide. They charged me for 40 people worth a food and only put out enough for 12 people when I had 20 guests there. She was always late and unresponsive. Spent most of her time on my wedding day in the back making out with her boyfriend instead of coordinating the wedding. Had no staff and her boyfriend cut the top tier of my Wedding cake after being told not to multiple times because it was supposed to be a surprise for our first year anniversary. Refuse to refund me for any of the services she did not provide.

It's a beautiful chapel but for $6k you should get more than a pretty view. My initial consultation, detail meeting, and rehearsal were all done by different coordinators so that translated into me having to go over everything three times. To top it off my wedding day coordinator was sick, and couldn't speak and went over detail with me again when I was trying to get ready. Never mind that she was sick and kept breathing on me, I'm upset because I had gone over it THREE times already. Also it was rainy and windy on my wedding day when we arrived. Due to the weather and traffic we arrived at the chapel 15 minutes early. I called several times to see if we could get in early but only got voicemail. I know they are running a business and I told them to charge me for the extra $50 since I had just spent $200 on everyone's hair. They opened up two minutes early and acted like they were doing me a favor. Unprofessional, unorganized, use another pretty chapel like Walnut Creek or Creekside Chapel - same price, same views, bigger reception area.
