Brother Mufasa and Ms. Imogene were absolutely amazing! They made our ceremony so special! Mufasa can and visited my wife and I the day before the ceremony, walked us through the paperwork and showered us with so much love and wisdom that we will cherish throughout our marriage! Ms. Imogene officiated our wedding and her beautiful spirit was unmatched! We had a slight delay in our paper work and Mufasa made sure he kept me updated with detailed communication of the process. If you are getting married in St Lucia, this is by far the BEST option! -

Fantastic Service!
We were a little wary of booking any kind of service over the internet - you just never know what you end up with or if you get anything at all. On this occasion, however, we were really happy with the outcome. Marcus is a humble person with clear values and honourable intentions.We had various issues with the required paperwork and he secured everything for us without any problems. On the day everything was relaxed and even small hiccups caused by our own oversights were easily solved. I would thoroughly recommend using Marcus for your wedding ceremony. Mr. Marcus Mufasa Joseph and his team, Thouzand Wordz, went above and beyond for our wedding day. They were responsive, helpful and overly accommodating. The two occasions we traveled to St. Lucia, Marcus was always available to discuss the ceremony plans. Though we were running slightly behind schedule the day of the wedding, Marcus and his team were able to adjust. Upon arrival to the beach location, the area was beautifully decorated, the ceremony went smoothly. Marcus and his teammates have my upmost confidence and recommendation to make your special day memorable and stress-free. I would like to commend the musician for his impressive vocals, the caterers at the Beacon restaurant for the delicious meal and the photographers for their creativeness. Hiring Marcus and Thouzand Wordz was the absolute best decision we made for our wedding! With us living in the United States and coordinating a wedding in my husband’s country, the beautiful Saint Lucia, we required a team of specialists who would be dedicated and focused on helping us create a lovely experience for us, our family, and friends to celebrate our union that God divinely created.
From the first day Marcus learned of our desire to wed in Saint Lucia, he had a plan for how our special day would be curated—from location of ceremony, reception, officiant, food&drink, music, cake, makeup artist, hairstylist, photographer, videographer, transportation—you name it, he had it covered! In the months leading up to the wedding, Marcus made the entire process COMPLETELY STRESS-FREE and SIMPLE. He put together a bespoke list of vendors to choose from based on our style and budget. Every single vendor we were presented with were excellent. Thouzand Wordz has access to the best of the best on the island. Marcus scheduled on camera meetings with our vendors and we got to know the people who would be helping us. We did not have to do a thing. Marcus made this process so easy and fun. We did not have to make calls or get tied up in making exhausting decisions; which was imperative because we were planning something overseas. It was such a huge relief!!
We arrived to Saint Lucia a few days early to settle in and touch base with family, friends, and our wedding planner. Again, we had nothing to worry about.
Our wedding was scheduled to be outside, but we had to move the ceremony indoors due to the heavy rain. THIS WAS NOT A DAMPER BY ANY MEANS! THE TRANSITION FROM OUTDOORS TO INDOOR WAS SEAMLESS!! Our guests were politely guided to an indoor setup which took little to no time to put together. We got no complaints because we still had views of Saint Lucia’s beautiful landscape, and the ceremony commenced without any issues. During the exchange of our vows, the weather cleared up to what we were told was an extremely prophetic, spiritual, and moving moment.
During our reception, we were waiting on by top-notch staff and the food was so delicious. We had a relaxing, fun, and stress-free day all thanks to Thouzand Wordz and Marcus for his incredible preparation and skill. He is truly a fantastic leader and a one-of-a-kind talent. He helped us celebrate our union and create a beautiful experience for all those in attendance. We will forever be grateful for this beautiful day and being able to have it organized by a group of extremely professional and talented individuals. All Glory and Honor be to God! -

My bride and I had a trip planned to St. Lucia for several months. As luck would have it, we got engaged a few short weeks before our trip. This was a second marriage for both of us so we did not want to plan a big wedding in the states. We decided to get married in St. Lucia and reached out to Marcus for help. Marcus was absolutely wonderful! He worked under a tight deadline, met us at our resort the day before to get all the papers signed, and then arranged the most beautiful wedding we could ever imagined! We loved everything he did, loved our officiant and photographer. Honestly, the whole wedding experience exceeded all of our expectations. On top of it all, Marcus is a wonderful person; kind, caring, reliable, and hard-working. We can't recommend Marcus highly enough. -

It was stellar!
Marcus was amazing! He had all of our paperwork ready to go with just our signatures needed. He was at our villa within two hours of us getting off the plane for the signatures and to get the bouquet design locked in. He was responsive and accommodating to all our communications and requests. He easily handled a last minute change for the location where we readied for the wedding, which was important for hair and makeup. He made sure we had everything we needed, including a steamer for a suit jacket. The beach spot was beautiful. The woman who married us, Imogene, was incredible and we could not possibly have imagined a more perfect ceremony. The photographer had us cracking up! He took pictures and video. The shots are gorgeous. The entire process was handled seamlessly. Everything was very reasonably priced. Marcus is a consummate professional and we can't recommend him highly enough. -

Exceptional service for an exceptional event
We wanted to renew our vows while vacationing in St. Lucia. Several resorts offered the service, but ours did not. We got a recommendation from the resort of a planning service that was well regarded but not local, meaning there would be extra costs for transport and setup where we were. We came across Thouzand Wordz and another planner after a Google search. We interviewed all and were particularly impressed with Marcus.
We weren't sure what we wanted and felt overwhelmed, especially since there was only two weeks until the event. Talk about last minute! Marcus patiently guided us through the process, making insightful suggestions at every step as we created our special day. His experience really showed. Special requests were not a problem.
We arrived on the island and met with Marcus to discuss the plan the day before the event. Rain was a distinct possibility, so we were concerned because the ceremony was to be on the beach with the Pitons and ocean as the backdrop. He had a contingency plan that would allow us to still have the event on the beach.
All of his service providers (photographer, musicians, officiant, etc.) were warm and friendly and true professionals. The cost was much more reasonable than a resort would be, and the service was every bit as exceptional. We also liked the idea of supporting local businesses rather than a corporate-owned resort. Some moments you can only celebrate once. We are very glad we chose Thouzand Wordz to help us plan our 30th anniversary. -

Catamaran wedding in St. Lucia
Marcus coordinated a small wedding on a catamaran for us on the beautiful island of St. Lucia. Marcus is responsive and attentive to his client's needs. We had a great time, and all went without a hitch. He arranged flowers and candles for our suite, a guitar player and music for the boat, the officiant, photographer, et al. He is well known in the local community and obviously well-liked. I would recommend him without hesitation! -

From the first contact my mind was at ease, being a first-time bride, I wanted so many things to make my day magical, added with the fact that I lived in the US and wanted a St. Lucian wedding. Marcus listened to my rants, tolerated my 2am WhatsApp messages, ensured that we were on schedule with planning, getting my to dos completed, assisted with searching for an Airbnb. This man is The "Fairy God Father of weddings". The service provided by Thouzand Wordz was superb, He Handled every aspect of my wedding professionally with a touch of grace, the legal assistance with marriage license, photography, DJ, hair & make up if I needed and most importantly the catering. All other requests were arranged and fulfilled as agreed.

Excellent destination wedding/ elopement planner
Marcus was so helpful, he took care of all the details from booking hair and makeup, to photographer, to the timeline. Our original wedding plans were destroyed by a hurricane a month before the date, so we decided to elope in St.Lucia instead. Everything went smooth Marcus planned everything in like a week and i’m so thankful! He came to our hotel the day before to go over everything and personally delivered our pictures before we left to go back home. He is punctual and responsive. -

Before you can appreciate the depth of this review, you would first have to know the experiences that led to us finding Marcus. My husband and I are from Tampa, FL and were planning an elopement on the beautiful island of Saint Lucia. 5 weeks before our wedding day, our previous wedding planner went MIA! Like, not responding to any calls, texts or emails type of MIA! I cannot explain the level of anxiety that this caused myself, the bride. In pure desperation I started searching for another wedding planner that would be willing to pick up where our previous one left off with such a short time frame. That's when we found Marcus. From the very first conversation I had with Marcus I was put at ease as he not only apologized for my previous experience (quoting "that is not how business is done on the island") but ensured me he could accomplish my vision with ease. From planning to execution, Marcus was knowledgeable, helpful, and confident. When you are planning a wedding/elopement in another country communication is key, Marcus was incredibly communicative and offered many suggestions that would make our day even more perfect! Marcus was involved with every step of our planning from the resort we stayed at, photography/videography, venue, florals, music, day of coordination, and even helped bring to life my adventurous idea of taking a photos/video on a rock in the middle of the water! Marcus was kind, funny and personable the whole time. There are not enough stars for Marcus, honestly. Our day was perfect because of him! -

Marcus was one of the best services I’ve hired for my wedding! 🙂 Planning a destination wedding is not easy, distance and “island time” makes it difficult to get ahold of people and some tasks becomes quite difficult at times, but not with Marcus!
My heart desired to get married legally in the island, but I was discouraged to do so at first, as it would add extra costs and unnecessary paperwork. However, I gave it a shot and texted Marcus, and very quickly, we were able to get our first video call setup and he was quite flexible with our timing differences which gave me a confidence booster that we were in the right path and things would work out!
On video, seeing his face was so much better than a simply phone call! It put me at ease that he was going to take care of it, meaning ownership! Not even mentioning his smile and energy are endearing! 😃
After the wedding, Marcus shipped the marriage certificateto our address in United States right away! The mail got lost at the carrier and I was very concerned but he made sure we got a 2nd copy, very fast and effective! Impressive!
As of today, I'm in the process of getting it validated in the United States and changing my last name as well. I don't foresee to have any issue in the process but I'm sure if I need, Marcus will be there to support me with anything that I need! He's our guy! -

Experience was perfect!
Mr. Marcus Joseph was exceptional in every way. He is interested in knowing what the couple wants for their individual wedding to make the day perfect. He has thoughtful suggestions that stay within the parameters provided. It seems Marcus knows all of the various vendors and they all performed as advertised. We can not say enough good things about the experience. Our favorite aspect of the wedding was the local St. Lucian wedding officiant that Marcus secured. She is a beautiful, beautiful lady that provided the most colorful yet tasteful ceremony. It was as if it were the wedding couple's own grandma was performing the service. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr. Marcus Joseph to anyone planning a wedding on St. Lucia. -

When we decided to do our wedding in St. Lucia, we had never been to the island and didn’t really know what we were signing up for in terms of logistics and how to design the guest experience in all its many facets. We had 40 friends and family staying with us at the beautiful La Belle Helene villa next to Sugar Beach, and rented 2 catamarans that we sailed from the north of the island to moor just off the coast in front of the house. Since we wanted to create a really unique, adventurous experience (that also happened to be more complicated than most weddings) we needed guidance on how to best set up the logistics for the 4 days that we were renting the villa and planning the overall trip.
Marcus and the Thouzand Wordz team were absolutely amazing and exceeded expectations on every level. From the first conversation with Marcus we knew we would be in really good hands but we didn’t anticipate just how much we would need and value his services. Marcus guided our vision while listening to our core desires and worked incredibly hard to make it all a reality. He provided sound, thoughtful advice throughout the planning process and even when our plan got complicated, he carried forward with a smile.
Marcus has close relationships with many of the best vendors and contractors in St. Lucia and so he was able to hire truly wonderful people for the following services: hair/makeup, flower pedestals/bouquets, decor/table setup, DJ, photographer, bartenders, steel pan musicians during the ceremony/reception, and the cake. Each element was executed perfectly and came together as a beautiful whole.
Marcus worked very closely with the house managers to ensure everything was taken care of. He coordinated all team members seamlessly, while keeping the schedule on-time and on-budget. He went above and beyond in so many ways it’s hard to list everything.
I want to emphasize that Marcus is not only a highly organized, hard working wedding planner. He is also an amazing humanitarian worker with deep compassion for others. His work drilling wells in African villages that don’t have access to clean water demonstrates his huge heart. He has a magical perspective on life and has a very grounded and down-to-earth nature. While we interviewed other wedding planners, we are 100% grateful to have worked with Marcus for our special weekend. -

Exceptional Service!

"You're in good hands with Marcus."
Marcus pulled all the pieces together and gave us an incredible day and night to remember! I started planning our wedding from the US just 4 months prior and although my husband was local, I knew we were going to need help to pull it all off. I am the type of person who likes to be involved and know about all the little details and how they are going to happen. All the family and friends in St. Lucia assured me that we were in good hands with Marcus and they were right. We told him the beach we wanted to be married on (which is not the easiest to get to) and our color scheme and he pretty much took it from there. We had family coming from the US, my husband's local family and my husband's Rastafarian friends. Marcus did a nice job of allowing us to pull in all the aspects of each culture to the ceremony and the reception so that everyone was comfortable and enjoyed. Throughout the planning process Marcus was flexible and helpful including when we had an adjustment up in our number of guests. The day of the wedding, the team came in (to the private villa we had booked, Collibri Cottage) and, while I was getting ready, transformed the villa into the perfect wedding reception venue. I didn't have to worry about any of the details - it all fell into place beautifully. The ceremony was exactly as private as we had wanted it with Petit Piton and the beautiful Carribean as our backdrops. Marcus is the best wedding planner in St Lucia!!
He is passionate about his work, and his has a great deal of experience and this was seen by the considerable amount of attention to detail which he provided during the stage that resulted in a magical wedding day.
He has made what most people experience as one of the most stressful time in their lives aside from Buying a house and having baby! by doing what he does best by coordinating and bring everything together.
He provide us with the breath taking scenery of one of St Lucia’s would famous world heritage site of The Piton and the most beautiful sunset. He has so much knowledge about St Lucia he explained the local legend of infamous Pitons.
His package included efficiently sort our all the marriage documentation including marriage License and certificates.
The wedding ceremony was sensational as the views were breathtaking which made my wedding day the best day of my life. My husband put all his trust in Marcus and had faith that the day would be one to remember for the rest of our lives together.
Marcus gave a touching speech about planning our wedding. He was more than a wedding planner he became our friend.
When we experienced a small crisis with our bridesmaids dresses, he was understanding able to accommodate changes to our colour scheme.
If you think that a man could not possibly plan a wedding, it’s a lie. Let Marcus prove it to you. As he has made our wedding day the best day of our lives.

The best Non Traditional Independant Wedding Planner on St. Lucia
I struggled to find a wedding planner in St. Lucia that would think outside the box and wasn't tied to a resort. My husband and I loved the outdoor beauty of the St. Luica and wanted a location that would capture it which was Non Traditional. Marcus Joseph was the only one that came up with the idea of getting married at Tet Paul Park which has cliff overlooking the two pitons and the ocean set in full on raw nature. I can't even describe to you the natural glorious beauty of the site. He worked with the park to get it closed early and have the handrails behind us removed for pictures. He thought of everything and was even very accommodating to help my father with extra time to get to the location and a walking stick to help him on the walk.
He arranged for a photographer who was creative and on board with our adventurous photoshoot ideas including climbing a tree, walking down the Soufriere downtown street, sitting at a local bar drinking beer, and jumping into a waterfall shots. The last shoot we had to cancel because of light but he was totally down if we could've pulled it off.
The hair, makeup, and flowers accommodations were spot on as well. Marcus himself is a true believer in love and marriage and was born and raised in St Lucia making working with him comforting and easy. If you want someone who will be flexible, suggest creative ideas for your wedding, and in general be fun to work with he is your best bet in St Lucia for the wild at heart.
For reference, my wedding was very small, me and my husband and our three parents. We did not have a reception but just coordinated a dinner for all of us on the terrace at Jade Mountain. If you go with Tet Paul be aware it is a bit of a hike to the top. I wore white heeled combat boots under my long traditional dress.

From beginning to end, it was so obvious that Marcus truly cared about making sure our wedding day was magical. It felt like he was as emotionally invested as a family member would be. His attention to detail was unmatched. From handing us tissue if our faces were sweaty to making sure that our chef substituted rum with another ingredient in my dessert (because I’m a recovering alcoholic) he took care of it! I will say that Marcus is not a mind-reader, so if there are any special requests or small details that are important to you, make sure to relay them and he will most definitely accommodate as best he can. -

I was nervous about having a destination wedding but so glad we did it! We had our hearts set on getting married in front of the Pitons and Marcus made this happen for us. He worked with my taste in colors for the flowers and wedding setting and photo setting and I appreciated the flexibility. He showed up to meet us the day we flew in to go over all the details. Saint Lucia Dream Wedding
I had the pleasure of working with Marcus Joseph and his company Thouzand Wordz. After I reached out to Marcus regarding working with him he was quick to ask me specific details about my dream wedding and put me a package together very quickly. We spent about 9 months going back and forth between emails and WhatsApp. Marcus made the wedding planning a lot less stressful for me. My wedding was delayed a day due to Tropical Storm Elsa turning into a category 1 hurricane the day of. This was very hard news for Marcus to have to deliver to me. The wedding was moved but the day could not have been more amazing! It was like a fairy tale. My flowers were absolutely gorgeous. The dinner was so delicious. The pictures look like out of a magazine. Marcus and his team are top notch for a beautiful destination or any wedding. -

Beach wedding
We got married on 5th October and wanted a beach wedding. We hired Marcus Joseph and he was amazing.
All of our ideas and little details we put forward to him he executed so beautifully. Marcus was with us every step of the way making sure he got every detail right. We were actually based in London so our wedding planning with Marcus was long distance , but the communication was so good. He made us feel comfortable from start to finish.
Along the way we had a few hurdles as the caterer we originally hired privately dropped out 2 weeks before the wedding. But Marcus was able to find a caterer to execute our wedding menu, within such a short time frame. All our wedding guests couldn't praise the food enough, everyone was impressed.
Patience.....this is one thing Marcus Joseph definitely has
We changed our mind about a few things along the way and added on a few different things too, such as a sand ceremony.
Everything was so beautiful, everything we dreamed of. If you are looking for a wedding planner Marcus Joseph is your guy, he and his team are professional as well as caring, making sure every minute of the day runs perfectly.
At some stage during the reception our two year old son started crying and one of the staff members comforted our son and took him for a walk so we could focus on our evening. This was such a lovely thing for her to do. Both of the staff members were so caring and friendly.
Again, thank you so much to Marcus and his team for making all of our dreams a reality!

Intimate St. Lucia Elopement
We found Marcus on wedding wire, sent a message via the chat and promptly got a response back!
He was amazing from start to finish - not to mention our beautiful bouquet and boutonnière! He was flexible after communicating with our resort regarding availability and such.
Ceremony was perfect, warm and heartfelt with sharing our own vows which was encouraged (and so happy we did)! It was just my partner and myself, Marcus the coordinator/Officiant, Photographer Kiefer, and our friend Beverly from the resort. We did it at our villa in sugar beach between the pitons - perfection!!

We enlisted the help of Marcus to help with planning our beautiful island wedding. Being from the UK and trying to plan one of the most perfect days of your life was quite a daunting task so needed someone who could take our vision and turn it into a reality, which Marcus and the team absolutely delivered on! Marcus has a very calming, laid-back way about the way in which approaches wedding planning and even when I was stressing out that things werent moving forward, Marcus was working in the background. He is very open to suggestions and did everything possible to ensure we were satisfied. For us, we ended up providing a lot of the decorations ourselves because of how particular I wanted things to be in terms of colour scheme, and wedding staionary and Marcus was happy to work with whatever we brought. Marcus was fantastic to work with for several reasons. His deep knowledge of St. Lucia and his relationships with excellent vendors made the process of building our dream wedding in St. Lucia seamless, despite the fact that we're based in Florida. He works with some truly fantastic local professionals - to shout out a few in particular: TLC Events (florals), DJ Romanus, Janelle from SweetDreams Custom Cakes, and Chef Fabian were wonderful from start to finish.
Despite facing some challenges from ownership of the property we were married at, Marcus helped navigate the situation with grace, patience and compassion. Getting married on an island like St. Lucia can come with its fair share of complications, from transportation to sourcing of items and ingredients, but Marcus handled all of these challenges with ease and made sure we didn't have to stress about any of them.

Intimate Villa Wedding
Marcus is a very friendly and bright person. He did a wonderful job decorating and coordinating our small villa wedding. He took care of all the arrangements, which is a blessing when you are trying to coordinate a wedding from another country. He can be slow with response times so you will need to be patient but rest assured, he has it under control. The Chef, photographer, and hairstylist he suggested were all amazing!
