Amazing venue!
We recently had our daughter’s first birthday party here. It was very spacious and I didn’t have to stress in case it rained because they have a covered pavilion. They were very flexible to work with and everyone loved the space! I would highly recommend this venue. I think it’s a great space for all types of celebrations! The bonus part was the kids being able to feed the animals! -

We attended a beautiful wedding at Thornbury Farm and decided to have our son's graduation party there. We couldn't have been happier with our experience. The staff was awesome from start to finish. They were attentive and sincerely cared about the success of our event. They also had tremendous resources for various vendors to use for the party. The venue is absolutely beautiful and it is truly unique. While it has a lot of opportunities to enjoy being outdoors, the space is covered enough to have peace of mind if the weather doesn't cooperate. I recommend Thornbury Farm without hesitation for any type of event. It can be personalized to suit your needs and you will have support along the way from the staff. -

Thornbury Farms - Beautiful Venue!
Thornbury Farms is a beautiful venue with rich history that is centrally located to 202 and 926. What an incredible space for any party, wedding or other special event! We had our son's graduation party there and were thrilled with the venue and their list of preferred vendor list. We worked closed with Kelly, Thornbury Farm's marketing events coordinator, who was easy to work with and extremely helpful and willing to offer suggestions as needed which allowed us to make some special finishing touches for our son's special day. The facility is very spacious with a completely covered area for the food, tables, and dancing. We were fortunate to have a nice day, so we had lawn games and set up the fire pit area for family and friends to enjoy smores. They have several spacious bathrooms for your guest to use with plenty of parking too. Several of our guests commented on how beautiful Thornbury Farms is. I cannot say enough great things about this facility. It is a hidden gem right here in the middle of Chester County. I look forward to having my daughter's graduation there in a few years! -

Amazing Venue to Work With!
Beautiful venue just a few minutes away from the City! Such a great experience working with them bringing our couple's wedding to life! Friendly, accommodating, and flexible! Truly the perfect venue for your rustic wedding. 10/10 would recommend! -

Thornbury Farm was the perfect venue for our wedding! We knew we wanted something outside with a rustic, romantic feel and it checked every box. We were able to select the food truck of our choice and plan all of the details as we wanted. Kelly was super helpful and had answers to all of our questions! -

I can not say enough good things about Thornbury! What a hidden gem!!!! This venue is perfect for a DIY bride on a budget!!! Kelly & Randall have really thought of everything and it's all reasonably priced! I was able to bring my vision to life and have the food truck wedding of our dreams! The bonfire was a huge hit and the lawn games were great for the kids! From start to finish, our wedding day was perfect and I can't say enough good things about them! Thanks for everything! -

Thornbury Farms was amazing! The location and historic setting, with the fall colors, yard games, fire pit, and having everything outside was everything our daughter dreamed of for her COVID friendly wedding, and it was beautiful. We were able to stay in our budget, the staff was super helpful and friendly, and it looked fabulous at night once the lights went on. Great venue for a family-centered celebration — the kids had a blast! -

So amazing and affordable! Truly a dream venue.
Thornbury Farm was truly the perfect wedding venue for us. It is completely customizable to what YOU want, there is no pressure to use any specific vendors. Since it is a "build-your-own" wedding, it was so affordable! Working with Kelly was great, she was always there to help answer my questions. The venue itself is absolutely BEAUTIFUL, this helped cut down on decor costs since it is already decorated with nature itself and twinkle lights everywhere! Truly a dream. We will forever be grateful we chose Thornbury Farm to celebrate our wedding day. -

Our day was a dream come true thanks to the attentive staff at Thornbury Farm CSA. I wanted something different and I knew what I wanted. I was able to hire the caterer that I wanted, the DJ that I wanted and I wanted an outdoor venue. It was perfect. Kelly and Randell were so attentive to my needs, I work night shift and sleep most of the day but I had Kelly's cell phone number to ask questions when it was good for me. And the price was amazing. I was on a very strict budget and was able to stay within it. If you want a DIY venue with awesome people to guide you along the way call Kelly or Randell at Thornbury Farm CSA, You won't be disappointed. -

A PERFECT venue for someone who wants a very warm, intimate, romantic and rustic feel for their wedding.
The venue itself is beautiful with greenery and lights everywhere! It's appropriately sized for a 100-150 man wedding-- Anything more and the cobblestone space may start to feel a little squished. This venue is a very hands-off BYOV friendly venue, which for some may be a deterrent, but for me and my husband it was EXACTLY what we wanted! I LOVED that the venue gave us so much flexibility to invite the perfect vendors in and really shape my ceremony up to be exactly how I want it.
The price to book the venue was extremely fair, and despite losing some features that I originally booked due to inclimate weather, I do feel I got what I wanted for the money I spent.
This is not a luxury ballroom venue, remember that. It is a working farm that you essentially rent the space out, therefore it is not perfect. You will need to clean up some things in the morning prior to the big day, and you don't receive help from the farm staff. They help with clean up, and supervise, and that's about it. And that was FINE by me because they made that very clear from day one.
Kelly the event planner was lovely. She was very kind, she helped me out all she could, and when the fear of a tropical storm set in one DAYS before my wedding she was extremely helpful in making sure the venue was as prepared as possible for inclement weather. They even installed an updated drainage system right before our wedding for us! INCREDIBLE!
Overall, a 10/10 experience. Remember, you get what you pay for-- Hands off, BYOV, venue. It's a lovely venue if that's what you're looking for. I will look at my experience on my big day for years to come very happily. -

Beautiful but too much work for the couple
I had my wedding & reception here this past fall. I think this venue has so much potential; it honestly upsets me that the owner doesn't see that and shift focus from the market to weddings. At this point, there is not nearly enough staff that understand weddings. It was nearly impossible to communicate with them. One concern I brought up months before our wedding was beehives all across the property. Our wedding was unusually warm in October and there were bees everywhere (including inside the serving room). There was also a lot of penny-pinching. You pay for the space but then everything else is an add-on (including bathrooms). The picnic tables and benches are covered in bird poop and if you want to use rental furniture you have to move all of the picnic tables and benches and then put them back at the end of the night. The staff does not help at all. I think for this to be a successful wedding venue in the future a lot of work has to be done. Focus should shift away from the market, connections should be made with more vendors, the staff should be involved in getting the space ready and breaking it down at the end of the event, and at least one staff member should be in charge of coordinating weddings (not weddings and all other events) so that communication can improve. HOWEVER, the owner and employees were all very kind and very genuine. We had a really difficult time moving our wedding all around due to covid and we really wanted to work with genuine people that cared about our day. I think the problems with this venue have nothing to do with the kindness or quality of the staff; it only has to do with not having enough resources dedicated to the venue. Our wedding was beautiful, but I think brides should know that it takes a lot of time and energy to create a beautiful wedding at this venue. -

I agree with much of the feedback that has been touched on by other reviewers on different pages for this venue. Here are some important notes for suggested improvements as I was the bride that was in contact with this establishment from 2019 to my event in Oct. 2021: 1: Hire more employees for specific tasks; this includes a specific contact for the property for events only and including day of coordinating 2: Complete improvements without raising costs for clients; this includes completing unfinished areas, and also updating areas like the kitchen and the she-shed 3: Provide a space for unwanted items to be stored (i.e. the excess of pianos and other large pieces, like benches or tables) 4: Provide a complete and thorough contract and guide for clients regarding services and details about the property; this includes items about day of event items too, i.e. about where to store alcohol, where to find items, what is provided, etc. 5: Be thorough and communicative throughout the whole term with client; this includes email or text updates from 1 person only, like with receipts, improvements, clarifications, etc with an additional email followup if contacted via phone call. 6: As I was to be getting a refund for the deposit and the fire pit as that was weather affected, I did get my refund eventually but not all clients may be as understanding. 6: Be the reason for giving a good if not great review! There was just too many instances of poor communication and lack of direction. There is so much potential for this venue but leadership is an overwhelming factor in its success. Would I recommend this venue to others? Only if you are an understanding, patient, and flexible person that can handle a lot of stress and anxiety. -
