    So happy we used Thompson Entertainment for our event. They were punctual and professional. They helped guide us through the process. During the event they made sure our guests were having fun. Thank you Thompson Entertainment for creating such a fun atmosphere for our event.

    Larry helps with everything in reception planning, from the moment you book with him. He helps you build a time line of how your reception will play out. He goes with what YOU want. As a past bride that helped take some stress off!! He's well worth the price. I will always and forever recommend Thompson entertainment !

    You absolutely can not go wrong with Thompson Entertainment! My wife and I had our venue double booked (we didn't find out until the night before our wedding) and I called Larry after my conversation with the venue owner. We had to switch to a different location and Larry was super understanding. He really helped us stay on track with the events during reception and it couldn't have gone any smoother with all of the chaos leading up to our day. I can't thank Larry enough for the great work he did!

    I had dominic as my DJ and ive been to a wedding that larry himself has beem the DJ. Both weddings were wonderful. Its definately worth the price and Dominic really did make my wedding he was professional and really played to the crowd of people that were at my wedding! Great dj service i would recomend them to anyone!!

    I had a hard time just letting Thompson Entertainment fall under the DJ category because Larry was so quick to suggest other things to entertain our guests throughout the reception, whether it was helping us make our custom first dance music or releasing dinner tables by bride and groom trivia. He can scale your event to whatever level of formal or casual you would like, and for us he found a mash right in the middle. Thompson Entertainment was a great value for us and we loved every moment of the planning process and entertainment provided,

    Larry was more than just a DJ for our wedding. He was also out officiant, as well as who provided our photo booth! He is so kind and wonderful to work with. Any questions, concerns, or ideas I had he was right there to walk us through them! I can not thank him & his team enough for all they did for us! He is definitely our go to person so any event now !

    Larry was amazing to work with! He knew how to get the people at the wedding dancing and was very personable! I would highly recommend him and his company for any event!! As the bride he put my mind at ease to be able to relax and enjoy my reception as he took control and kept everything going! I am so glad I heard about Thompson Entertainment they were perfect for our wedding!! Thank you for everything!

    Awesome dj/photo booth experience made are wedding so much better and the staff was amazing and the lighting and intro was so awsome would really recommend this amazing service to any bride and groom

    Larry Thompson is AWESOME. ...very professional and very personable, he really puts his heart into his job. Every bride will tell you her wedding day is extremely special, but to me, mine was that and more, my husband was battling stage 4 cancer and he wanted our day extra special for he knew it was a memory he wanted to leave with me when he was gone. I can't even begin to thank Larry enough for what he did for us and how his heart overflowed into our special day and beyond. When Larry found out of my husbands passing, he reached out to me as a friend to see how I was doing...Larry still checks on me periodically and I can't even begin to tell you how rare that is in business. Larry goes above and beyond for his clients and I couldn't recommend him enough. If you choose Thompson Entertainment you won't be disappointed, I promise. They come Highly recommended!!     If you want someone who hustles, is a complete professional, and knows how to read your crowd to make adjustments as necessary, then you want Thompson Entertainment. Hands down THE BEST... without breaking the bank!

    Larry Thompson and his staff are top notch when it comes to professionalism, service and value! I have worked with Larry on several events, and am continually impressed. He is extremely courteous and knowledegable, and goes above and beyond for his vendor partners and clients. I highly recommend Thompson Entertainment for your entertainment needs.

    I had a great experience with Thompson Entertainment! Larry definitely made our day special. I was worried as I did not have a chance to meet with him or do much planning due to a family emergency. He promised he would take care of everything and he did! It was actually better that he planned the whole event because my husband and I were surprised each time. The guests loved him. No one even knew that we did not plan it :) thank you so much Thompson Entertainment for making great memories with us. I would recommend you to anyone!!

    Larry was an amazing DJ , he brought life to the wedding with his personality and his awesome display. We had such a great time. He has so many options for making your wedding unique and fun. People were talking about my DJ weeks and weeks after the wedding. I would reccomend him every time.

    Thompson entertainment really helped make our wedding day special! Larry was kind & extremely helpful when we booked him last minute. We were lucky to get such a great DJ. He really helped us plan out how we wanted our night, had excellent ideas, and everyone had a great time. I would highly recommend them!

    I got married back in 2010 and I found Thompson Entertainment at a wedding show I attended. When I arrived at the wedding show I had no intentions on booking anything that day. I was there for the experience and just to get some ideas for my big day. When I came around to the booth and met Larry, the owner, I was blown away by the fair pricing and professionalism and knew I needed to book that day. After we I booked we set up a meeting and that's where my husband met our dj and was very happy as well after seeing all he had to offer. We had so many options to choose from such as fog during our first dance ,bubbles, and an amazing light show the entire evening. Being able to get online and create our playlist for our reception was also a plus for us because it gave us a chance to create it on our own time and didn't feel rushed to make one and return it immediately. The day of our wedding Thompson entertainment was the first vendor on site ready to set up and that put my mind at ease. They were more than willing to take song requests from our guest and he managed to play the music we chose as well. Larry kept the evening moving in a timely manor and worked wonderfully will the rest of our vendors as well. I was so impressed by Thompson entertainment I referred his business to (2) weddings of my closest friends. If you are looking for a vendor for music and entertainment you must choose Thompson Entertainment!

    Thompson Entertainment was great! For the amount of time he spent planning with us (we were a double wedding), the services were well worth the money. Our guests had a great time! He gathered all of our unique music requests--we weren't sure if it would be possible since it was a Disney themed wedding--and he made magic happen! The music is so important for an event like a wedding--Thompson Entertainment truly did shine and make it such a memorable night. Thank you!

    I had a great experience with thompson entertainment at my wedding!! Larry is very resonable with prices and he offers alot of stuff with the pakage! Everything turned out great thanks to thompson entertainment and we had the best time!!!!

    Stepped in to rescue the day

    A week before my daughter's wedding, we decided to attempt to hire a photo booth. After sending many feelers out, the only one that responded quickly was Thompson Entertainment. (Others waited for a day or two). They were able to work in my budget, and on short notice. We unfortunately did have cold weather that day (89 the week before, 50 the day of the wedding!). The photo booth was set up in a tent with the caterer outside the barn venue, which may have kept some people from going out into the colder night air for photos. The workers were bundled up, as they needed to be to keep warm...but they stayed till the end of the evening and took photos until the end! Waiting for our USB with copies of all the photos, but it has only been 4 days. Everyone that used the booth seemed to have a fun time!

    We were very impressed with our 2 meetings with Larry before our wedding. He seemed professional. He played our ceremony music perfectly, but after that it was all down hill. I was told that his assistant (wife) was playing Angry Birds during our CEREMONY & on her phone the whole night! Guests complained that the music was too loud, they had to shout to hear each other even during dinner. They could not understand anything Larry said into the mic (too loud/muffled). He played a game to dismiss tables, no one could hear him to play. During our meetings we discussed starting with "classic wedding" music & having more current "club" music for the last hour. As soon as dinner was over, he started to play club music. None of the guests were dancing besides the bridal party. The bride had to ask a bridesmaid to get him to change the type of music. After he changed the music, the dance floor was full, but for the last hour & a half he went back to music that no one was dancing to again. There is an online planning tool, which we thought was great, but soon learned he wasn't using it. We also only listed 8-9 "must play" songs & he didn't even play all of them! There was a section for dedications with notes on who it was dedicated to - he did 3 of the dedications when they were not even in the hall or during pictures. At one point we cleared out some songs from our requests and it seems like he played all of the songs we deleted instead of the ones we requested. We discussed a family friendly atmosphere & he played the UNEDITED DMX Up in Here. We were so preoccupied with trying to "mingle" we did not realize it was the end of the night until he said last 2 songs one was Cotton Eyed Joe (the bride asking him not to play) & he played country anyway (2 people danced). The GROOM requested 2 songs & they didn't play them! We didn't feel it was our responsibility to direct music-that's what a DJ is for! He didn't reply to our evaluation to explain/apologize. Really disappointed.

    Bad experience

    So at first I was really impressed. Booked them almost a year in Advance had to have the down payment the same day I booked them. They was supposed to do my photobooth and they cancelled 3 days before my wedding because of "technical difficulties" but never told me what that "technical difficulties" was they said they would give me a full refund and then told me that they would try to find the part they need to fix it.. well a day gos by so now I'm 2 days away from my wedding and I asked for a refund early in the day. They read it and didn't reply. I had someone else message them saying they was interested in there service and they replied back to them right away but kept ignoring me, So I kept messing them for my refund because I needed it back asap to find someone else since they backed out. Well they made it hell for me to get my refund. Made me wait until really late at night till they finally message me saying they been in meetings and had other clients to tend to. They said they couldn't give me my refund until later because they was not able to because it was so late (which was their fault) well they finally sent me my refund didn't tell me they sent it until 2 hours after they sent the refund and made it feel like they was trying to screw me out of being able to dind someone else. Very unprofessional. And I'm very happy they wasn't at my wedding!

    The DJ was very unprofessional and did not know how to emcee a wedding. Guests even joked about taking the mic from her. The DJ didn't even know how to pronounce the bride and groom's last name for their introduction into the reception. It was obvious she hadn't read the information on the introductions for the wedding party either. Embarrassing. The owner talked a good talk about being professional for the wedding, but this was definitely not what he portrayed.

    The Owner is a Snake

    I have been a professional musician for 16 years, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcasting & Mass Communication from Baldwin-Wallace University, and have experience as a radio DJ & producer. The owner, Larry, hired me to DJ a wedding reception at the last second, and never paid me and would not return my text messages or phone calls. He’s a coward. Stay away from this company. They are very unprofessional. UPDATE: Larry continues to slander me, which is now grounds for civil litigation. I never met Larry, he was not at this event, nor was I ever tested for anything. I was not under the influence of anything, and this is his pathetic, fabricated excuse for not compensating me and not returning any of my messages or calls. Furthermore, Larry was scrambling around last minute to find a DJ for this event. That is why I never met him, and that is why I agreed to do the wedding last minute (it was literally the night before), even though he knew I had never DJ’d a wedding before. My attire was perfectly fine for a DJ, as I was not part of the wedding party. Khaki shorts and a button down shirt was more than OK for this event - especially since I was notified last-minute. Thus, Larry used this as an excuse to withhold my pay. If he had such a problem with me, why did he let me DJ the entire night? He had no problem with me performing for 8 hours, and only decided after the event not to pay me. Of course I had no idea what was going on because he’s a coward and wouldn’t return my messages or phone calls.
