Beautiful day a year and a half in the making!

Truly a beautiful day I will always remember fondly - I started working with the team at this is the place about a year and a half before my wedding due to family in different countries during covid, and me living out of state, and they were a breeze to work with.

Easy, quick, and thorough communication.

The space, both outdoor and indoor, are exceptional. We had our ceremony outside and dinner and dancing inside, and their staff helped the evening flow.

I love this place!!

The venue was absolutely beautiful and everyone was so direct and clear with my questions and were very personal to my needs! I kept needs to change times for things because of family complications and they were so kind and helpful!

It's so easy to work with! Every time I called someone could answer my questions. We loved the walkthrough ahead of time. Working with there additional list of vendors was great. I had no stress and no concerns on the day of our event because everything was taken care of for me from the second we walked in until we left.

Rustic, family-oriented, indoor / outdoors venue

Nice, clean, just the right size venue worked great with our rustic theme. Spacious kitchen for good prep. Effective air-conditioning. Close proximity to parking. Pretty good signage—they were electric signs that older generations missed and had trouble finding us. There was a flagstone missing on a path which was dangerous. Main office was very helpful with answering any and all questions we had. Overall very pleased with the location!!!

Perfect venue

The Garden Place was beautiful. This is the Place often works with other vendors, which made of the setting up/tear down easier. Very responsive to random questions that came up.

Absolutely amazing and it was a stunning venue!

It was an amazing experience! We got to meet with a coordinator about 3 weeks before our event and plan everything. When we got there everything was set up how we discussed. If there was something missing then they were so quick to make it right. The lights on the trees and patio were beautiful! Everything was just what I hoped for and more!

Unbelievable wedding experience!

Having your wedding here will leave your guests saying, "This IS the place!" all night long! We hosted our wedding at The Garden Place and had many out of town guests who were wowed by the beautiful building and scenery. The staff at This is the Place is next level - so responsive, so helpful, so kind, so generous, the list goes on. I would have 100 weddings here if I could. There is simply nowhere better in the Salt Lake area!

So Beautiful

I cannot say enough good about this venue, Its employees, and how beautiful the location was. We are from Davis county and was a little worried it was a little far away, but so many people came and commented all night on how nice the venue was. So much room for lots of people to eat and dance. Parking was one of my most favorite reasons to have it there, but mostly the girls that were there to help us all night were ABSOLUTLEY the most amazing humans. So sweet and always willing to help! So again I can't say enough good. We had the most incredible night celebrating a beautiful couple in the most beautiful venue~ Thank You " Garden Place"

Best wedding venue in Utah!!

I have been to several events at different venues at This is the Place and have loved all of them for different reasons. We choose The Garden Place for several reasons. It is beautiful, it is large enough to accommodate a very large party, the patio, the price, the location and the parking!! The staff is super friendly and so excited to help you create a great party!

Amazing staff and extremely helpful! We rented the Kimball Home, and we had a beautiful wedding there. There were plenty of places to get some cute photos. Wouldn’t have had it any other way, and you can’t beat the price anywhere else!

This Is The Place was EXCELLENT! They addressed every need, every question and responded very quickly. The staff was polite and professional and managed high stress situations with ease! My Dream Wedding

I cannot say enough good things about this venue and the people who run it. Shaaron especially was SO helpful and made my experience so much better. What I love about this venue is it is big, there is a lot of parking, and because it's pretty simple you can decorate it how you want! My wedding turned out to be perfect and the wedding I had always dreamed of having. I would defiantly recommend getting married here!!

Amazing Venue

This venue beats the other venues in Sal Lake City by a long shot. It's astonishingly beautiful and perfect for large parties. We had our daughter's wedding reception there for 250+ guests and it was not crowded at all. It felt like a room in a castle. Music system is awesome, and the building is newer with beautiful, high quality wood floors and beams. One of its best features is the large, private parking lot. Our guests didn't have to fight for parking or walk a long distance to the reception. It was just perfect!!

Can't say enough about how special our day was, and it was all in part to the Venue. The space allowed us to have people both inside and out, which was great with the heat.

The whole staff was great to work with and made everything that we imagined come to life. They worked with us on our plans, gave us advice/suggestions, and went above and beyond with the setup. I couldn't believe that everything was completely set up prior to the catering company even arrive.

I highly recommend this location to all.

Kambria was great to work with. She was very professional. Both she and the staff were easily available for any questions.
The Garden Place is a great venue for a larger wedding of 100 plus guests. Heritage Park is set-up to host events and they have it figured out. They are able to give advice and recommend catering, lighting and bar services.

Wedding Dinner and Open House were beautiful and fulfilled our dreams

This Is The Place Heritage Park was the perfect spot for our wedding dinner and open house. The charm of the Kimball Home added to the atmosphere and the covered patios were the perfect spot for pictures despite the snow. The staff helped us plan our evening and also navigate safety for our wedding party and guests during a pandemic. The professionalism they demonstrated as they came in to take down tables after the dinner and set up for the open house showed respect to the guests that were there. The switch was done quickly and we were ready to move right into the open house. Thank you for all your suggestions and help throughout the night. Our night turned out fabulously and we were so happy with the result.

Perfect venue for an intimate gathering

Even in the age of Covid-19, we had a beautiful experience at the Atkin Home. The venue was intimate, and offered all of the amenities needed. A staff member was on site and offered to help at any time. She was prompt to respond to our every request and very friendly, though practically invisible in regards to the event (always where I needed her, though). When we booked the venue, all of our questions were answered, and they even gave me a list of vendors to contact, as I was planning from out of town. Our guests loved the venue, as well. Wedding Reception

This was a wonderful place for a wedding reception. The space was great and the staff was easy to work with. The vendors they suggested for lighting, linens and catering did and excellent job. Everyone had a great time.

Daughter6s wedding day was perfect.

So nice and easy to work with

They were super helpful and easy to work with. I was a little worried I had to use one of their caterers but the narrowed down list helped me find a caterer even faster. They also had many great suggestions that made planning my wedding stress free

Couldn't have been better!

This is the Place Heritage Park was an excellent choice for our event! We needed a place to host nearly 300 people for our special event, and we couldn't have chosen a better place. Sharon couldn't have been more professional and accommodating, and the staff who were there during the event were wonderful and very helpful. Everything about the facility was exactly what we needed: clean, spacious, lots of parking, and an elegant atmosphere. I would recommend using This Is The Place without reservation.

Absolutely amazing!!!

The staff was wonderful, friendly, always available and so helpful! The venue was beautiful and a big plus is all the parking that is so close. Great experience!! I would recommend this venue summer or winter.

We loved our party at the Brigham Young Farmhouse. They were setup before I arrived, the staff was perfect every step of the way, and the space was perfect for my Choir's summer party. We love This is the Place Heritage Park.

We had the best experience with the team at This is The Place Heritage Park! The location is gorgeous and the value unbeatable! Their team spent a lot of time working with us on the day-of timeline and setup the whole month leading up to our wedding. We didn't end up using a wedding planner or caterer, so we were all over the place with our plans, but Heritage Park's team was incredibly patient with us and did everything they could to make the process easier.
The day of the wedding, their crew was nothing short of lifesaving. Not only did they take care of the table and chair arrangements, they went above and beyond to help us out with the food, decorating and so many other things which by no means they were responsible for. The girls they had assigned to our event were all wonderful, happy and eager to help. I literally couldn't be happier with our experience! (I would also like to mention that the train was so much fun to have and absolutely worth renting!)

We had our reception at the Atkin house and it was PERFECT! The staff were great to work with, they were professional, kind and helpful. The day of they had everything cleaned and all the tables and chairs set up. We rented the train and even the adults loved that. It was so much fun and so beautiful up there I would definitely recommend using them!

The staff could not have been more accommodating. They went above and beyond to assure the event went smoothly. Everything was ready to go when I arrived with no surprises! At the last minute I asked James if someone could be there to greet the students as they arrive on the buses. I understand they were met with someone in costume and the information they received was awesome! There were many changes during the planning stages and even last minute changes were handled with pleasant and helpful demeanors. The students were able to learn about our Utah heritage as well as enjoy the great outdoors. I am certain that this activity was one of the most enjoyed. Also, Meiers did a fantastic job catering and I couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome.

This was a perfect venue! It was affordable, charming, and elegant! The views are spectacular!! We had about 200 guests and put a tent on the outside grounds for our reception. I would highly recommend this venue!!

This is The Place is such a beautiful venue to hold any function. I had my wedding at This is The Place and everything went smooth because of the staff. They were very helpful and made sure I had everything I wanted! I definitely recommend this place to everyone looking for a beautiful place!

We had a great experience using This Is The Place for my sister’s wedding reception. We had a small budget and so Ottinger Hall was the perfect fit for us. It dressed up really nicely with minimal decoration and was a cozy space for her winter wedding party. The staff was super helpful leading up to the event and we had someone there helping out during the reception. Beautiful surrounding scenery and a great location. Highly recommend.

This was not a wedding. Our event was our departmental holiday party and it was wonderful. Everyone loved the rustic new venue and we will certainly book with you for this event next year. James was our event coordinator for the evening and was awesome. He was very helpful in helping us get our decorations set up prior to the event, as well as helping with our music. He was so great with everything and I hope he is still there next year!

Brinly, who was assigned as our helper for the event, was amazing! She was answering our every need and then some, going an extra 10 miles to help make things run smoothly. The Events Staff at This Is The Place are so great to work with! The venue turned out so beautiful, and there was plenty of parking for all of my guests! If weddings were a regular event, I'd have mine there every time!

We chose to hold a memorial service at this venue - the setting and the environment were so appropriate and worthy of tributes given that day. The staff were all extremely professional and accommodating during a very difficult family time and made the day run smoothly and successfully.

We loved this venue! We had our wedding luncheon and reception at the Atkins house. The orchard at the house provided adequate shade for our guests during the luncheon and it provided the beautiful outdoor atmosphere we wanted. The back patio at the Atkins house was a perfect place for the outdoor reception with the beautiful thatched roof strung with lights. The house itself was beautiful and rustic, yet the kitchen was large and easy to work in. We used one of the recommended caterers for our luncheon and brought in our own food for the reception, which cut back on our costs. The ladies at This is the Place were always so nice to work with, as were the helpers assigned toys on our wedding day. I would absolutely recommend this venue!
