I can not recommend him enough, he is the best photographer I have ever worked with. I will and would use him every time I am in Montana! He is not only a photographer, but a coordinator lol. He definitely helped it all go smoother. He is worth at least triple what he charges and if I could I would’ve paid him that.
Matt I can’t thank you enough for taking not a single picture I don’t love. You were the best photographer I could’ve asked for on my big day. ❤️ -

Matt was the kindest, most chill person through my entire wedding experience. Working with him never felt like hiring a vendor—it truly felt like hanging out with a close friend who just happened to be incredibly talented with a camera. He was so easygoing, fun, and kind.
On our wedding day, Matt and his second shooter blended right in. They kept us laughing, helped us relax, and captured the most genuine moments without ever making things awkward.
We chose the Delux package, and the value was honestly unbelievable. These are memories we’ll cherish forever. The highlight for us was the adventure shoot. It didn’t feel like a photoshoot at all; it felt like an exciting little getaway where we got to explore, laugh, and just enjoy being newly married. The photos from that session are absolutely stunning and so uniquely us.

Very organized, patient and laid back - neither my husband nor I are people that really like to be photographed, but Matt made us feel comfortable and confident and gave us enough direction that we ended up with sooooo many beautiful portraits and candid shots. We have nothing but great things to say about working with Matt. From the very beginning, Matt was helpful, responsive and so flexible with us to provide exactly what we were looking for for our wedding photography package.
In addition to our wedding photos, Matt helped organize us for an Adventure Shoot in Glacier National Park a few days before the wedding. This was such a magical experience, and we will treasure our photos forever! It was a great way for my husband and I to get in the wedding spirit and get to know Matt ahead of the big day.
On the day itself, Matt helped make the whole experience a breeze. He was fun, organized and really captured the joy and sentiment of the big day.

Matt was phenomenal. First, he made the price affordable, but still keeps fantastic quality. He's easy to communicate with and made my dream come to life. Second he took my Pinterest inspo board and recreated the photos, but also made it personal. The formal portraits were completed in an efficient manner, without cutting corners, so we got great pictures and didn't miss out on the celebration! Finally, the pictures he returned were so perfect. There wasn't so many that I was overwhelmed, but he still documented everything. I also love how there are some silly candid shots, which really brings out personality of guests. 10/10 recommend choosing thewmatt photography to document your wedding! -

If you want someone who help you feel inspired yet relaxed on your big day, Matt is your man. He never ran short of locations, poses, or witty banter. From our engagement session to our wedding day, he never fell short of our expectations and in fact, far exceeded them. He made us feel comfortable the entire time. He is super quick to respond and answered every question which was a LOT with my 1000 emails "one more question so sorry". We never felt rushed and 10/10 recommend him. If you can't already tell, we love Matt and know you will, too! -

Through the lens of an artist - our day captured!
We had a lot of choices when it came to photographing our wedding. Traditional staged wedding photos are tired and old. Matt's work was fresh, capturing both the major and micro moments of a day that unfold like a blur. We opted to use Matt for our wedding rehearsal and our wedding day (along with a second photographer). What we got blew our minds. He was able to capture the essence of our day, the moments as they occurred, the mingling of our guests, the love that was expressed and received. His framing and composition for the big shots was incredible, intuitively knowing when to capture an entire scene or to hone in on the fine details of any given moment. His photos of our two days unfold like a photojournalism story taking us on an epic ride. It is only upon reflection of our wedding through the lens of an artist that we were truly able to appreciate all of the facets of our welcome dinner and wedding day.
In addition to his artistry, Matt was simply a pleasure to communicate with, to collaborate with, and to have at our wedding. He was immediately responsive to any "staged" photos we asked for, helped us to capture photos we didn't plan for, and knew how to blend in and shoot unnoticed when need be.

Our experience with Thewmatt Photograpy was exceptional. I compared about 20 different businesses in the Flathead Valley and scored them based on qualities such as price, photo quality, style, flexibility, number of photographers, shooting time, and general customer service, and the winner was clear. Not only was Thewmatt Photography the best bang for our buck, but we were able to do an adventure shoot in Glacier National Park after the wedding in lieu of the engagement photos that were included in our package. We were left with the most beautiful and whimsical elopement-style fall photos. On top of that, When compared to all other photographers, Thewmatt was the only one that offered a second photographer for the entirety of our wedding at no extra cost. All of these awesome perks aside, Matt was an absolute joy to spend our wedding day and adventure shoot day with, and was able to get great candid photos of us and our guests. -

Lovely Small Destination Glacier Park Wedding
Loving. Authentic. Magical. These are just a few words that come to mind when I think back to our wedding day. Matt captured all of the moments and was a major support leading up to the big day. I was able to spend the whole day focusing on my best friend without worrying about a thing. Matt seamlessly helps orchestrate the process and truly is a joy to be around. Matt was very personable and helped to make our wedding day go so smoothly! He was flexible with timing and photo plans before the ceremony, and he was very easy to work with through it all. He made it easy to pose for photos when we felt awkward, and seeing the photos now after the wedding, he did such an amazing job capturing us and all the special moments of the ceremony and reception. I usually feel awkward seeing photos of myself, but he captured our happiness and his photos made us and the day look truly magical. It was wonderful to see special moments that we had, but also to see the special, fun times all the guests had too. Whole-Heartedly Recommend!
I will start by saying I probably offended Matthew right off the bat by telling him that photos were not our main focus for our wedding. We wanted to have a great time and have the fun and beauty of the day captured, without spending too much of our time being pulled away for photos and let me tell you, he took this feedback and ran with it in the best way possible. Not only are the posed photos we have beautiful and timeless, but we ended up with so many amazing candids and photos of our families and friends that we will treasure forever, and we got to enjoy our cocktail hour with everyone! Not only that but we still ended the day with an insane number of beautifully edited photos that have allowed us to relive our day from start to finish!
Matthew was so easy to work with, very communicative in planning and day-of, and a ton of fun to be around. He made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and worked with us and our guests to create a stunning album that fulfilled everyone's visions.

Some photographers have packages that they won't stray from, and that wasn't Matt! He listened to and met our requests. He was always available to talk when we had questions and was very kind and generous throughout the event. He even stayed late when he found out that we were gonna jump in the lake after dancing for hours in the heat! I'm so glad that we have photos of everyone in the lake now! He also lets us print our photos however we want - we can go through him, but don't have to. I love this! And he sent us a few pictures right after the wedding and got the rest to us almost exactly a month later. -

We were referred to Matthew from our Celebrant, Sarah, as we were unsure if we wanted a photographer related to cost. Matt responded to our inquiry right away. He threw out an offer that we couldn't turn down. Very reasonable pricing. And he was willing to just photograph during our ceremony. Matthew went above and beyond and actually captured pictures of the wedding party getting ready, and he stayed a little longer to take pictures after the ceremony. He even helped us ladies open up a troublesome bottle of champagne! Matthew was laid back and made everyone feel comfortable. He gave good direction and he listened to our requests as well. We love his style of photography; lots of candid shots which worked perfectly for our daughters. And ALL of our pictures turned out so beautiful and unique. We 100 percent recommend Matthew for your special day! -

Matt has knowledge of many venues in the Flathead Valley, so he already had many locations and poses prepared for the wedding day. He was very professional and I could count on him to take care of every aspect of the photography. He also was very helpful with establishing a timeline for the wedding that ensured we had the best lighting for the shots! The photos I received were very high resolution and edited beautifully. I'm having a very hard time picking just a few of my favorites for printing. He makes all the photos easy to view and share on his online platform. Awesome Photographer!
Matt did an awesome job photographing our wedding! We did a destination wedding and wanted to use a local photographer. Matt communicated with us throughout the process, was always super responsive and made sure he captured all the pictures I wanted! He was a ton of fun to work with and we got so many great pictures, I can’t choose which ones to print! My guests and family all commented on how great of a job Matt did with the pictures. He also brought along an umbrella since there was a chance it would rain and worked quickly to finish getting our photos done before the rain came. They all turned out so great! I highly recommend Matt! -

Matt was amazing! He captured everything that we asked of him on our wedding day, and did it so smoothly! Our day after adventure session was full of rain and fog but that didn't stop him! He captured some amazing photos and turned a not so nice day into breath taking photos. Matt also delivered our photos in a timely matter; even quicker than we expected. We hired Matt for our small (16 person) wedding in Bigfork, he was gracious as we worked through some planning and panicking (wedding was almost an elopement). He was ALWAYS responsive and kind! We appreciated his wedding questionnaire to keep the day simple organized and capture all the photos we were hoping for. Matt showed up early, stayed late, was as nice as could be. He had 10 beautiful "sneak peak" pictures for us the day after our wedding and our entire wedding album in less than four weeks. Everyone is blown away by the quality of the photos and I especially love the candid photos from the day including the small details- (for example, the table of pringles, keys and beer when the guys were getting ready). We will cherish our wedding photos for the rest of our days and if we are ever back in Montana hope to see Matt again to capture more family photos. I whole heartedly recommend Matt as your wedding photographer! -

Captured all the best memories of our big day!
Choosing vendors from across the country can be difficult but fortunately we happened across Matt from another photographer referral and we are so thankful!! We originally booked because we liked his style, the price was within budget and we even had similar interests. After working with him he really had even more to offer than we knew. He was really easy to work with and answered any questions I had about the area. It eased any worries I had after a lot of uncertainty with a 2021 wedding. Matt definitely went above and beyond the job. Communication was important to me and I felt like we had great communication through the whole process. Matt even didn’t hesitate when my best friend was looking for an elopement photographer the day after my wedding. He produced so many fantastic photos that I had a hard time deciding what to print or put in an album which I did within days of getting the photos back because I was just so in love with them all. They were all done and back to us very quickly. I have no doubts that I got a great value and the best vendor/partner working with Matt for our wedding. Don’t delay on booking him! -

Matt is truly one of the most genuine person/ photographer we had the pleasure of knowing! Our wedding was originally set for May 2020 and we started working with Matt in April of 2019. I was out of state and we mainly communicated via phone or email, he was always courteous and responsive. Matt has been in the wedding photography business for 10+ years and the quality of his work shows. It really made us teared up when he was willing to work with us on our limited budget, we were also able to book an engagement session with him in addition to the coverage for our Big Day. We met him for the first time for our Engagement shoot and it was honestly like meeting an old friend. He is so easygoing and flexible with the session timing that we ended up going almost 2 hours over, on the house!
Like most covid-affected engaged couples, we had to postpone our wedding to June 2021. Matt has been more than understanding and flexible throughout the whole process. At one point, he was willing to return 100% of our deposit if we choose the cancel, this is a businessman with integrity which is sort of rare these days! We decided to still continue with our wedding celebration and so glad that we did with Matt by our side documenting our special day! He was also quick to deliver the photos, within 2- 3 weeks after our wedding!
We highly recommend Matthew Wetzler with Thewmatt Photgraphy! He is worth every penny and if you're lucky, you will gain a great friend from the process as well!

A year before the wedding he was willing to meet with me and spend some extra time to drive thru Glacier National Park and find the best spots for our wedding day pictures. The photos we ended up with definitely surpassed my expectations. If your looking for a photographer Matt is absolutely amazing! I found his work on here and started following him on instagram and absolutely loved his work. We planned our Montana wedding from New Jersey and Matt met us in East Glacier and took photos of us getting ready and then met us at our ceremony site in St. Mary’s. He even came out the following day to take pictures during our hike (I needed to hike that dress somewhere). Weddings can get a little hectic and he just rolled with it and assured me everything was normal. Our whole experience was just so much better because we felt comfortable being photographed and our kids liked him and cooperated so well, even our very moody five year old daughter. I do t think I can say enough good things. If you are looking for a photographer Thewmatt Photography is wonderful. We will definitely be booking him again for family reunion pictures. -

Matt is extremely easy to work with. I shared a Pinterest board of the kind of style we were hoping for and even met up at the venue to scope it out before the actual wedding day. Matt delivered a well-balanced mix of photos from detail shots, candid moments, wedding party, guests, etc... There was a little of everything!
I loved our photos so much that while I was on our honeymoon I emailed him asking if we could do a bridal shoot as soon as we got back— he killed that shoot, too. Highly, highly recommend him. You will NOT be disappointed. -
