The Yellow Carrot was absolutely amazing! The quality of the food, gorgeous presentations, beautiful cake, and delightfully helpful staff took our whole reception to the next level. Sari was so accommodating, adding and changing things as we needed with no problem at all. The flowers were also over-the-top AWESOME!!! Absolutely loved the cupcakes and small cutting cake we got from the Yellow Carrot! Their cake is unbelievable! Everyone loved the cupcakes! My husband loved his surprise peanut butter and chocolate basketball cake! They did a great job! Working with Ginny was great! We decided to add on a small wedding cake at the last minute and The Yellow Carrot was the only bakery in Durango willing to make that happen! Our cake was simple and beautiful and tasted delicious! Sari and The Yellow Carrot team are wonderful people who are clearly very passionate about what they do. The food that they catered for our cocktail hour and dinner was absolutely phenomenal, and the menu was so incredibly creative. If you are looking for a wedding reception meal that is unique and absolutely delicious I couldn't reccommend choosing them as a caterer more. They also executed the visions for a "family style" dinner that we had flawlessly. That being said, we planned our wedding during one of the craziest years of our lives and 100% from D.C., and planning a destination wedding comes with taking a lot of chances. For that reason we also enlisted The Yellow Carrot for...Sari and The Yellow Carrot team are wonderful people who are clearly very passionate about what they do. For that reason we also enlisted The Yellow Carrot for our event execution, bar service, rentals, lighting and flowers. Having one vendor that does it all was certainly helpful, but we were less than thrilled (afterwards, because frankly on the day of we were so elated in everything else that the little details didn't bother us) that only about 60% of the lights that were set up at our venue worked, wires were exposed and hanging in weird places, the communication around the table layouts was super last minute (like day of, after we had already printed all the place cards) even though we asked for pictures to gauge the size of the tables quiet a few times throughout the year, water service and the filling of the water station stopped about half way through the reception (my fiancé ended up just filling the station with some water bottles we had in the ranch), and certain elements that we had discussed during the planning phase weren't what we were told they would be. The flowers were beautiful and unique and so cool but I didn't love that the arbor didn't match the bouquets or table decor, and wasn't in the color palette we had shared. We totally understand being flexible, and at the end of the day this truly was the best day of our lives and The Yellow Carrot played a BIG role, but better communication would have made all the difference -
