We had our wedding at the WCE and it was amazing!! We couldn't have picked a better venue for our wedding. Here at the WCE, you have the advantage to decorate as you wish and bring your own ideas or combine them with decorations that this venue has in store from other events. Also, having an outdoor ceremony in the garden was magical, perfect location for photos. Maria, who is the person in charge, helped us at every step of the way. We are truly thankful for all the assistance and support she provided us to prepare for our special day. Maria gave so much information and tips that allowed us to save money and time without missing any important details. On the wedding day, she, her husband and staff made sure everything went perfectly as planned. Everyone was impressed by her commitment, energy and professionalism. We felt like she was part of our family. Thanks a lot! -

The Women's Club of Englewood Carriage House is amazing! Especially with the help of Maria, her husband, and the staff she hired, our wedding was perfection. We had both our ceremony and reception there and are so glad we did. Their treasure trove of stored items came very useful in helping us realize our wedding decorations dream. For a fall wedding in November the leaves were spectacular. Maria had so many brilliant ideas and suggestions for decoration, food, photos, and vendor suggestions. We received so many compliments on the lighting arrangements she set up, and the whole location. My wife and I are so happy with the choice we made to have our wedding there. -

We were supposed to have a Nor'easter that day but no one took notice of anything but the ambience and warmth from inside the Carriage House. It truly was the best night of my life. Maria made sure everything was done and done correctly. She even added her own personal touches for us and I am so grateful!! Please make sure to really take care of Maria because she deserves it and in the end you will see all that she has done!! The photo booth was well worth it and Thom and his staff are so professional. People are still calling me three weeks later to tell me what a wonderful time they had! For your intimate wedding, look no further. You will so happy you booked here! -

The manager, Maria, was very involved and responsive from the booking to the very end of the wedding day. She keeps decorations that previous brides have donated in the attic, which came in handy for our planner. It is more meant for a DIY wedding, but we hired a decorator anyway, which, for us, helped keep the stress level low. The venue was cozy; perfect for our wedding of 50 guests. The outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour came out beautifully, and the lighting for the indoor reception was perfect. I highly recommend it, especially if you're going for a smaller, more intimate vibe -

Maria Made it happen!
Our wedding was on a tight budget and in a very short time frame and Maria was able to do it all! She supported our goal of a small wedding, with intimate details and decor. During the ceremony Maria and her husband made sure every guest was served, pleased, and we couldnt be more greatful! -

Love DO It Yourself Wedding
The venue is great. But there were a few problems. The day before the wedding we paid for pre prep, we needed to iron the table cloths and the outlets kept tripping- Maria never notified us of this problem so this delayed us a lot, especially considering how much other decorations and other things we still had to do, plus be ready for the next day. It was also difficult to find her when we needed her help. The day of the wedding music was not working while the rabbi was speaking. Maria was no where to be found and any issues should have been addressed the day before, it took 30 minutes to be resolved by my husband and groomsmen, which meant my wedding started later and my cocktail hour cut short as I’ve already maxed my time at 11pm. Considering this everything was great, I would book here again as I know now what I’ll be prepared for. Maria likes to be in control of things, but it doesn’t bother me so much because I know I’m the one in control of how I wanted my wedding to be, she will even try to get your bridesmaids to side with her opinion but they know me well, what I say goes and that’s it. So if this will be a problem for you, it won’t be the best venue for you. I spent a bit less than 10,000 for 50 people but it includes hair, dress, transport, decorations and a bit too much food and drinks, but my husband is Jewish so food needs to be big. So you can spend less than this. Her DJ is excellent,( go with him and no one else, I promise you you won’t regret it) I went with her cake suggestion, A Little Cake. They did an excellent job on wedding cake, looks and taste, tried them a year later for my husbands 40 and it was greasy so I’m not sure if I can fully recommend them. My wedding cake was strawberry and cream- that’s what I had and it was great/ chocolate for the other cake. -

Maria and her team made our day a breeze. WCE is at a convenient location and at an affordable price. Maria and her team went above and beyond to make sure our day was smooth and that we could enjoy our day, which we did. -

Very prompt in replying, very accommodating, offered to make nice experience, detailed us on everything that we may need for the day without asking, gave good clarity on pricing and their pricing was very reasonable for the venue. -

The Women’s club is a great location for a small intimate wedding. The host Maria is very helpful mostly as you get closer to the date. Be aware that it’s really a DIY venue and the initial cost is bare services. Be ready for upsell on everything. Overall, you have the place for yourself for the day. The place needs a little updating. However, for the location and price it was still worth it. -

My sister called about booking the venue in May and scheduled an appointment for this past Saturday to sign papers and pay a deposit. A woman named Maria tried to convince my sister to NOT have her baby shower at the Carriage House. The woman Maria then told my sister and her fiancé to check out another venue before making her deposit. She told her to check it out and get back in touch with her. Who tells someone to go somewhere else with their money when they are trying to pay?! She rushed my sister out the door to happily assist a white couple that was waiting. By 6:30 Sunday Morning, she received an email from Maria telling her the venue is no longer available! We can’t find the owners information so I’m posting my concerns here. This needs to be investigated by the owner because something is not right here.
