I got married at the Wimbish House on August 9, 2025 and it was one of the best days!!! I am a wedding vendor myself so I know how important it is to have the right vendors behind the scenes. I had toured multiple Atlanta area wedding venues and was by far the most impressed with Karina, the Wimbish House Director of Events. Karina and her staff are professional, punctual and skilled at dealing with wedding guests and vendors. If you are looking for a Pride and Prejudice vibe for your wedding (like I was)- this is the perfect venue for you. The Wimbish House building itself is like a little castle and the ballroom is beautiful inside. One of my favorite memories from the wedding day was waving to all of the cars and people driving and walking by on Peachtree Street. They were all congratulating us, honking, taking photos- it was such a fun and unexpected perk. August 9 was the perfect day and I highly recommend The Wimbish House if you are looking for a regal, castle-like vibe with incredible staff.

The Wimbish House is superb!
What a fantastic and successful event! The Wimbish House Event Director, Karina, and her Assistant, Madison, are AMAZING… everything went so smoothly, and seamlessly, and the whole evening was just beautiful, festive, and fabulous! This event was off the charts great!! I received several compliments on the choice of venue from everyone at my Firm who attended our Holiday Party – they absolutely loved it! What a beautiful space!! The Holiday décor was gorgeous and festive and perfect! The Wimbish House staff did an excellent job, from beginning to end. They were a delight to work with, extremely professional, and made it a magical night for everyone! It was truly an elegant and festive event… and a wonderful presentation!! The Wimbish House staff is superb and made our Holiday Party extra special… so we have decided to have our Holiday Party at The Wimbish House again next year!!!

Dream Wedding
We had our wedding at The Wimbish House this past September, and the experience was truly above and beyond anything we could have imagined. The venue itself is elegant, timeless, and full of character, really just stunning. Karina and her team was responsive, kind, and easy to work with throughout the entire planning process.
We ended up hiring several vendors who had previously worked at The Wimbish House (Cakes by Anna, Chef Cary’s Catering, LUMA Event Professionals, Jennifer Blaske Piano, Rosely Events), and everything ran so smoothly because of it. The staff was accommodating, helpful, and attentive in every way we needed, which allowed us to fully relax and enjoy our day. We truly had the wedding of our dreams and cannot recommend The Wimbish House enough.

The Wimbish House is 10/10! The entire experience was top notch. From browsing their website for the details (the site is very informative!) to their social media presence to understand the vibe. After a conversation with Karina, we booked our venue with no physical showing, Karina did a virtual walk through and everything turned out wonderful! The customer service, the place is gorgeous and the value is perfect. I loved that you get the entire building to yourself for the day. It was a day to never forget and the WH helped make that possible. Run, don’t walk!

Dream Wedding Come True!
The Wimbish House was the perfect venue for my daughter's dream wedding. The ballroom was gorgeous for the ceremony and perfect to dance the night away when it was flipped for the reception. Having the upstairs for people to mingle was great for the cocktail party vibe we wanted. Karina was wonderful to work with for planning and if there were any issues the day/night of the wedding we didn't hear about it. The night was perfect and our guests told us repeatedly it was the best wedding they've ever attended. I highly recommend The Wimbish House and Karina!

Perfect Place for Rehearsal Dinner
The Wimbish House is the perfect place for a rehearsal dinner. The house is beautiful especially at Christmas time. The ballroom was spacious and easily accommodated our 85 dinner guest. Also- having pianos in the living area as well as the ballroom area added such a special touch for having dinner music. After dinner, we also had our “Welcome Party” in the main living areas of the house and it was spacious for all of our guests. The director of the Wimbish House made the evening flow perfectly and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the house and her services.

Loved the Wimbish!
We had our wedding at the Wimbish House and we loved every second of it!! We got non stop compliments from guests about how beautiful the space is (which made decorating really simple too, since everything was already so beautiful without adding much at all!), and Karin and Vicki were super easy to work with throughout the whole process as well. They and all their chosen vendors are honestly like a well oiled machine--they are all familiar with each other and that made for very easy, low touch efforts from my husband and I. The ceremony and reception space are spacious and beautiful, and the surrounding areas inside the house were great for cocktail hour. I especially loved the private upstairs area for us to drop all our things and have private moments.

A Beautiful Event
We hosted our wedding reception at The Wimbish House and are so happy with how the event turned out! Incredible- Book this venue!
We had our wedding at the Wimbish House in April of 2024 and it was the most spectacular day of our lives! The venue itself is so lovely and well located in the city (near plenty of activity of hotels, restaurants, and entertainment for guests within walking distance) and does not require a lot of work to make it beautiful (the ballroom and parlors are exquisite). Karin was our wedding coordinator and she made the entire process easy and stress-free. She helped us with everything and made sure nothing slipped by during the planning. The staff is all incredible and they have such great connections with other vendors (every vendor we hired said they already had such great memories of events they worked at Wimbish and I can see why!). You cannot go wrong booking this venue!

The best wedding venue and team
The Wimbish House was the perfect place for my New Year’s Eve wedding ceremony and reception! Not only is it so beautiful and it a perfect midtown location, but Karin and the rest of her team made the wedding planning and big day amazing and so smooth. It was great to get to have multiple spaces to enjoy in the house - the ballroom for ceremony and reception, the living room for cocktail hour, and the upstairs for getting ready. The holiday decor they have up is beautiful and added so much charm. All our guests raved about the Wimbish House too!

Perfect Wedding
We decided to have our wedding at The Wimbish House because it's in a very walkable area of Atlanta, the house itself is gorgeous, and Karin and Karina made us feel like we would be in good hands when we took a tour. While I did most of the planning, Karin dialed in the details and offered cherished advice on what would work best given our own preferences. We had a guest count of 117 people. We held the ceremony in the ballroom, then went into the Lucy Willard room upstairs for a private moment with champagne and appetizers. Meanwhile, the ballroom was flipped for dinner service and guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres on the main floor. After dinner, guests moved back up to the main floor for dessert and coffee in the conference room, and 3 tables were removed to open up the dance floor. All of these moving pieces/flips worked seamlessly thanks to Karin's direction, and multiple times guests told me how much they loved the opportunity to walk through the rooms on the main floor. It was truly a perfect venue for the vision of our wedding day, and we can't thank the Wimbish House staff (and our other vendors) enough for the perfect evening. One thing I will recommend, even though it looks so beautiful and photographs well, is not having candles in the aisle for the ceremony. We had a few clumsy guests knock them over, but thankfully Karin and crew came to the rescue swiftly and gracefully. We had no idea it had even happened until later on, and that's the kind of crew you want on your wedding day: one that makes mistakes unnoticeable. Thank you so much again for a wonderful wedding day!

Amazing beyond our expectations!
Our wedding here was so beautiful and turned out even more incredibly than we could have imagined. The space is so elegant, and we felt like we could make it into the perfect mix of classic elegance with a modern twist. Karin and Karina were incredible coordinators who made the day so effortless and easy, and I feel like because of them we really were able to just enjoy the day. Our only concern when choosing this venue was traffic and parking, but this ended up not being an issue at all. The ballroom is beautiful and the bride and groom suites were far above any of the ones we saw at other venues!

Beautiful Choice
This venue has everything! Well, not parking,but unbeatable location, beautiful spaces that need minimal decoration, elbow room, great staff, etc. We really loved that it was BYOB since it allowed us to have freedom with our bar and source however we liked. The upstairs rooms are beautiful, have natural light, and have a room just for makeup. There is plenty of space for cocktail hour when everyone needs to be out of the ballroom (130 people- we flipped the space). Karin was great to work with and handled everything day of even though we had gotten behind on our photo schedule. Take full advantage of the pianos! There are two, and we hired Caleb Houck to play our ceremony music and cocktail hour (very affordable pricing). I don't have any bad things to say or anything I would change about our venue!

We can’t say enough good things about The Wimbish House or Karin. The Wimbish House is the classiest, most elegant venue—we visited it once and immediately fell in love. Fantastic!
We just had my daughter’s wedding at the Wimbish House, and it was wonderful! Karin made the whole process, from initial tour to the final goodbye, go so smoothly. But first, the venue.
The Wimbish house has multiple areas to use. The main ballroom downstairs was used for the ceremony (we had almost 100 guests), then switched over to dinner seating and dancing. The main level (elevator available) has a cocktail area, the lobby area, a formal dining room where we displayed a cake and had a slide show, and the porch outside. Plenty of space for people to mill about. The house is already beautiful without having to add decorations, which is a huge money saver. Having the main level area was especially nice after dinner when the music was going strong, so that my husband and I could chat with guests in a quiet area.
The second story has multiple spacious rooms for the bride to get ready, another for the groom, and a few more for whatever needs you may have. Even though the area is large, it was cozy to be up there with my daughter.
Karin, our wedding coordinator, was amazing! I cannot say enough about her skills in controlling the many aspects of a wedding. She is always level headed and calm, no matter what is going on, and she is so good at corralling everyone and getting them where they need to be. She was extremely responsive to any questions or concerns we had during the months leading up to the big day. She also had so many great suggestions that made the wedding day so much more special. She’s been doing this a long time, and has a wealth of knowledge concerning anything wedding related. My daughter made the best decision ever when she booked the Wimbish House!

A wedding can be hard to plan. Its harder when your in laws are not as supportive as you would like Karin is firm when she needs to be because she prioritizes the Bride and Groom. The coordination team helped make my dream wedding. I didn't know about the difficult situations that were taking place until after but I was so happy to hear that Karin stud up for us and the original plan as much as she could! 1000% would recommend!

Incredible Space & Experience
We've lived in Midtown for years and had always walked by The Wimbish House but never had the opportunity to go inside. It's absolutely picturesque, so when we got engaged, I immediately added it to my list of venues to tour. Truthfully, I knew this venue was "the one" from the moment I walked down the stairs into the ballroom...instant tears! During this walk through, I also hit it off with Karin and knew she had to be the one to coordinate our wedding. You can tell how professional and buttoned up she is, plus she truly knows and loves the house and property.
We were initially supposed to get married at Wimbish in May 2020, but then COVID had other plans for us. When everything shut down at the end of March 2020, Karin was an absolute lifesaver. She was quick to act and communicate with our vendors, and was so patient and understanding with us. I know that she was dealing with a ton of brides at this time but constantly made us feel like we were her priority.
We ultimately had to reschedule twice, but as they say, the third time's a charm. We were finally able to be married at Wimbish in August 2021 and it far exceeded our expectations. Karin and her team were on top of EVERYTHING: from managing vendors, to keeping things on schedule and anticipating our every need. They made it all look easy, and we KNOW that it was far from easy. Beyond the incredible service we received, the venue itself was absolutely breathtaking. Many of our guests were local and very few had every been to Wimbish before. They were all completely blown away by the space -- it truly is somewhat of a "hidden gem" in the city.
I highly recommend this venue and vendor team! I promise you will not regret it.

The Wimbish house is so beautiful, and the perfect location for out of town guests. The owner, Karin was so patient during our planning process and made sure everyone was happy and having a fun time the day of our wedding. We were able to bring our own alcohol, which was a huge plus since most other Atlanta vendors don't allow this and make you pay a crazy amount for a basic package. Here, we were able to bring whatever we wanted, and worked with such flexible and kind vendors. Everything was so perfect!

Amazing and perfect
I had my wedding at Wimbish House last week, and it was a dream come true. Karin is so organized and made my unorganized self feel totally at ease. She is very experienced and knows what needs to get done. She was also so sweet. I know she’s worked with so many brides, but my day still felt special to her. The venue is amazing. The bridal suite upstairs is adorable, and my girls and I had so much fun getting ready there. Karin also made sure we had plenty of ice and everything was going smoothly. I love this gorgeous historic house in the middle of a bustling urban area. The ballroom had such a romantic feel and vibe, which made our ceremony and reception just feel so warm. Everything about this day was perfect and I couldn’t be more thankful to the Wimbish House and Karin for everything. I can’t recommend them highly enough!!

A Fairytale Dream Come True
I could not have asked for a better venue in the city. Everything from the first visit all the way through to the wedding day was exceptional! Karin is extremely responsive and always answered my questions in a timely manner even when we changed the timeline at the last minute. The space is amazing and our guests had a great time. Don’t let this little gem in the city pass you by!

Fantastic experience
We just wanted to share our wonderful experience for our wedding at the Wimbish House in July. 10 out of 10 would recommend to others for several reasons. We had initially booked this venue in January of 2019 for a memorial day wedding, but COVID forced us to cancel and move. The venue owner Karin was kind, accommodating, available, and catered to our constantly evolving wedding due to the pandemic. We were able to get the wedding moved to July with a significantly reduced headcount, adjusted music and dinner style without issue.
We’ve heard from other friends that didn’t have the same experience and were so grateful for Karin and our venue selection. Highly recommend her for the coordinator services rather than bring one in! The venue was beautiful, and honestly provided us the perfect setting that we always wanted. The ballroom setting downstairs, photo opps for a blended historic/urban vibe, and upstairs area was fantastic, and we’ve had friends reach out regularly about the intimate setting. We worked with Hannah at Zest for catering, which we also highly recommend, and Joel Rabe with Lethal Rhythms as DJ and were extremely pleased. Awesome venue!!

An absolute delight
The Wimbish House is a gorgeous venue in the heart of Atlanta. They are exceptionally reasonably priced and made our wedding a wonderful experience. The historic mansion needs relatively little added decoration to really bring beauty to a wedding. Karen Holben, the wedding coordinator and main point of contact for us was a real pleasure to get to know. She made the event go extremely smoothly and provided a ton of expertise. We are so thankful that we had her and that we went with this venue. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

Amazing service, gorgeous venue for great value
We were thrilled to find The Wimbish House - a gorgeous, affordable, classic venue in the heart of Midtown. You really don't have to do much with the space because it is stunning and well maintained. With 160+ guests we had to get a little creative with the use of the space - but Karin and her team are true professionals and make it SO easy from start to finish. We utilized her day-of wedding planning service, and it was completely worth it. Karin saved me by literally sewing my bustle and ripped lace strap ON ME while the reception was going on. I felt completely confident that everything was going to go as planned, and am thrilled we went with this space. Guests LOVED the venue!

A perfect day from start to finish
We had our wedding at the Wimbish House on November 2nd and it was an absolute dream. This venue is perfect if you are looking for an intown location; it is convenient to hotels and restaurants, activities for guests, etc. Many of our guests were from out of town and they loved that they could walk from their hotel to the wedding, allowing them to avoid Atlanta traffic. From the moment you walk into the Wimbish House, you can feel how special a place it is. It is welcoming and elegant all at once. The upstairs area has a stunning bridal/groom suite. My bridal party had makeup and hair done on site, which alleviated any stress. Additionally, we never worried about the weather because the venue allows all wedding activites to be inside. My husband and I did a first look and there are countless areas around the venue that are perfect for brial portraits. There is a sign outside the venue that you can personalize, which is a sweet touch. One of the best perks is that you can bring your own alcohol to the venue, which saved money and allowed us to pick what we wanted to serve. But the most important detail about the Wimbish House is their incredible staff, especially Karin. Karin guided us through every detail of our wedding, from the moment we booked the venue to the last vendor driving away. She had so many incredible ideas and suggestions and has seen so many weddings at the venue that she knows what works best for the space. She was extremely patient with my parents, my husband and myself during the entire process, even when we would change our minds repeatedly. The entire wedding day flowed so easy. If there was an issue on the day of, I didn't know about it because Karin took care of it, allowing me to fully enjoy the day from start to finish. She kept us on time, yet never rushed us. She truly wanted my husband and I to have a perfect day and she delievered. The Wimbish House is a special space and we are so grateful we chose it for our wedding.

Recent Wedding
I had my wedding at this venue recently, and it was exactly what I wanted to fit my theme. I had looked at other venues before looking at this one but when I did get to see it I knew it was the one. The price was very reasonable and Karen is such a sweetheart. She is very professional and works with you down to the wire to make sure everything you need from her for your day is in place. The natural beauty of the venue left my guest speechless and in awe of everything. I love it!!!! Thank you Karen and your staff, you guys are awesome!!!!

A perfect wedding venue!
We looked at many places in the Atlanta area for our wedding venue. The Wimbish House was by chance the last we visited, but as soon as we walked in we knew it was the perfect place for our special day. The house is incredibly beautiful and located in the heart of midtown. Karin is friendly and welcoming and knows both the venue and rhythms of a wedding inside and out. She worked with us and our vendors to make everything run smoothly both prior to and on the day of the wedding, which helped my husband and I relax and enjoy the day. They are incredibly flexible with decorations and vendors (their list of vendor recommendations will help you find a perfect caterer, photographer, and more!), so our wedding felt exactly customized to our tastes while preserving the natural beauty of the house (which also meant less work needed for decoration!). Our guests raved about the Wimbish House, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have had both our wedding ceremony and reception there. It’s the perfect indoor venue in Atlanta (a fact were were especially grateful for since we got married on a day where the temps were above 95 °F!).

Beautiful Venue and Excellent Service!
We are so happy we went with the Wimbish House for our wedding reception. We had such a great experience from start to finish, and could not speak more highly of our wedding coordinator, Karin. Karin made sure every detail was finalized, made sure we ate on our wedding night, and most importantly made sure everything ran on schedule. We had some transportation issues getting to the house from the church, and Karin was waiting in front of the house for us, drinks ready! The ballroom was absolutely beautiful on our wedding night, and we received so many compliments from family and friends. You will not regret using the Wimbish house (and having Karin) as a part of your wedding!

An absolute dream!

Beautiful venue and stellar team to help create our dream wedding
My husband and I are so happy we chose the Wimbish House as our wedding venue. From the beginning, Karin has been very responsive and accommodating. As my family does not live in the USA, I wanted to Facetime my mom while touring the place, and Karin was so understanding and supporting. This made it so much easier to feel absolutely happy with our choice of venue. Karin also let us tour the place, once already confirmed, when my family was in town. Everybody loved the place, it is beautiful, and does not need a lot to be set for a perfect wedding decor.
Throughout our planning, Karin provided recommendations and was super responsive, which is so nice when you are planning your welcome.
Karin also was our wedding day of coordinator, and I cannot recommend this enough. She helped us prior to the day to make sure all of our vendors knew where to be at what time, and she created a wedding time-line for us, which was so helpful. During the day, she made sure everything went smoothly and was super helpful. For example, when we needed a thin glass for my husband to break after the ceremony (as the rabbi mentioned the one we had was to thick), she provided one within minutes. She also made sure we had a nice private moment after our cocktail hour and this was wonderful.
I truly cannot recommend the Wimbish House enough and believe it is very fairly priced (and as you can bring in your own alcohol, you will save quite a bit there). We had an amazing day and could not have been happier with our venue! Huge thanks to Karin and her team!

Dream Wedding
The Wimbish House was a dream to get married in! It was definitely the perfect venue for my husband and I. We had no idea what we wanted going into our wedding day, but once we saw that bridal suite we knew this was where we were getting married! It was like everything came together. The space flows so nicely and it is truly a wonderful day. You do not need much decoration because the venue speaks for itself. We hired Karin for our day of services and truly worried about nothing the whole day. It was her goal to make sure the bride/groom, and all parents worried about nothing and always had everything we needed and we did. I literally have no idea if anything went wrong and if it did Karin fixed it! She took care of all the vendors and details. Also - when you contract, they give you a packet with a ton of information. I researched a ton of my own vendors, but ultimately hand picked the perfect team off of Karin and team's list of recommended vendors. We seriously could not be more happy with the list and service levels provided on the list. We had an exceptional day and are so glad the Wimbish House was a part of it!

Amazingly Beautiful Venue!
The Wimbish House was the absolute perfect venue for my wedding. Karin and the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating in every aspect. Every detail went off perfectly and I can honestly say I am thrilled with every piece of the day. Karin truly let me enjoy every moment and took the stress off of having to worry about anything. She handled all the little things and did a fantastic job! I was able to have fun and relax knowing that she would handle everything flawlessly. Throughout the planning process, Karin was very responsive and always available to talk me off a ledge when needed!
The venue speaks for itself and is stunning - truly provides an old world feel in the middle of the vibrant city. It really creates the perfect environment for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and a super fun reception. Relaxing with the bridal party before the wedding in the upstairs suite area was a huge bonus. My husband and I particularly liked our post-ceremony dinner date upstairs in a private room to take a moment to just spend time together amongst the crazy day. I would highly recommend The Wimbish House for your wedding or another big event!

Best wedding decision we made
The Wimbish House is a special place run by amazing people. The venue itself is breathtaking and extremely versatile with the main ballroom, but literally two other floors of beautiful rooms for people to gather and socialize, and for the happy couple, wedding party, etc. to have some private time. The staff, led by Karin Holben, one of the coolest people on the planet, go above and beyond at all stages of planning and on the big day. We also loved that they know all of the major vendors in town, including ours. So, everything went very smoothly. Many of our friends and family said, "best wedding ever." And it really was the happiest day of our life, thanks in very large part to the Wimbish House. Without reservation I give it the highest possible review.

Dream venue and amazing experience
We were SO happy with everything related to hosting our wedding reception at the Wimbish House. It is an absolutely gorgeous venue. We went pretty light on the flowers and decorations because the House is already so beautiful. Our guests loved the fancy homey feel of the House. It felt like we were hosting our reception in a private home. We worked with Karin Holben and she was a dream to work with. We hired her as our day-of Coordinator and our wedding day went so smoothly. If there were any issues - we don't know because she took care of everything. She helped us figure out and streamline everything - our must-haves, our vendors and our day-of schedule. She has excellent taste and anytime I had a question or just wanted her opinion on something she replied promptly. We couldn't be happier with the service from the Wimbish House team and again, the venue is so beautiful.
If you want a fantastic wedding day in an amazing venue, you have found the place. The Wimbish House is classic, elegant, and extremely beautiful. Karin and the team are phenomenal and everything went perfectly. We couldn't believe how great it was! She was extremely detail oriented and made sure everything was done to my exact specifications - she fixed last minute issues and made it all work out. We loved our experience with the Wimbish House. Karin and her staff are excellent. My husband and I looked at a number of venues in the city, but ultimately picked the Wimbish House as it's location and beauty couldn't be met in our eyes. Also being able to have it for so many hours and being able to bring in our own alcohol were huge pluses for us. We loved getting ready there and having a place for our guests to go right after our early afternoon ceremony (held off-site at a church nearby). The whole experience was fantastic and we received so many compliments on how beautiful, unique and neat the Wimbish House is. Even people who weren't able to attend give compliments on the stunning pictures from the house. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone.

My husband and family could not have been happier with our choice!!!! We planned our wedding from out of state, and the Wimbish House was on the schedule of 6 venues in Atlanta we chose to visit on a day tour last year. We saw the Wimbish House and fell in love immediately. The charm and layout of the house were just fantastic. It was finding a gem in the middle of a central location with neighboring hotels (Four Seasons & Marriott etc) for easy walking distance for our guests. In addition, we recommend DEFINITELY adding on the day-of coordination the Wimbish House offers. I have been in several weddings myself, where the bride and bridal party are running around trying to get vendors in the right area, determining the correct timing, etc. Not only did our wedding go to schedule (no joke right???), but I honestly felt so relaxed and carefree to enjoy the time getting ready with my family and friends. If there were any hitches with the transition from first look, ceremony, cocktail hour, to reception, I had ZERO idea!! Karin and the Wimbish House team did a fantastic job!!! Our guests were impressed by the beauty of the Wimbish House (and we didn't have to do much decorating as well). And what we really appreciated as well was being able to hold all our events there. Truly an amazing experience.

Our wedding was awesome. I didn't do a wedding planner but used Karin and her team for the day of coordinator service HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I came downstairs after my hair and make up thinking I would have to help decorate and they had all my decor set up better than I ever could have. Karin also met with us prior to the wedding to go everything and talked me through things I hadn't thought of and made recommendations which helped a lot as they are the experts! We were able to bring in our own alcohol which was awesome. We picked one of the 30+ approved caterers (Party Execs- best decision ever). If you are looking to do a wedding in the most practical way- Wimbish House is the way to go. It's so beautiful in there!

From the day of our first visit to the Wimbish house I knew that this was the venue for us. We looked at other venues but nothing compared to the building, the location, the atmosphere, the options and Karin. The house is stunning and we received so many compliments about how beautiful the venue was from all of our guests. We also had a lot of out of town guests come in to town for our wedding so it was ideal to have our wedding walking distance from some of the most beautiful hotels in Atlanta. The list of caterers the Wimbish offers we're outstanding (we went with Chef Cary's Cuisine and we're extremely pleased.) Being able to bring our own alcohol was also a big seller when looking for venues. And last but certinely not least is the amazing Karin. We added on the day of services that Karin offers and could not have been happier. She made the whole process of putting the wedding and timeline together so easy. She was felixible when we wanted to make changes and listened to our concerns and some of our "different" (moving tables during the reception, fingerprint hearts during the ceremony). If you think it and want it included in your wedding... Karin will find a way. On the actual wedding day, Karin goes above and beyond! She helped decorate and make sure that everything looked beautiful while I was upstairs getting ready, not having to worry about anything. Once the ceremony Karin kept the whole evening on track so that things went flawlessly and if there were hiccups.... I didn't know about them. The Wimbish house is the perfect wedding venue for an unforgettable wedding and the addition of Karin will ensure a flawless wedding day/evening.

We used the Wimbish house for our wedding reception. We didn’t have a wedding planner but the staff at the Wimbish house were more helpful than we could have possibly expected. The day of went smoothly because of their help. The house is beautiful and spacious. A 12 hour time period for our wedding made sure we weren’t rushed on the wedding day. Our wedding was during the Christmas period, and the house had some Christmas decoration at that time, but it was very tasteful and pretty and not overpowering at all. We and our family were all very pleased with the venue!

We hosted our son’s wedding Rehearsal Dinner at The Wimbish House in August 2017. From the first meeting with Karin Holben, we fell in love with the gracious atmosphere and beautiful decor. The facilities are outstanding, and all accommodations were made available to us, ranging from young children to elderly guests’ needs, to serve approximately 100 guests. Our family and friends were so complimentary about the gorgeous surroundings and how smoothly every part of the evening flowed. Karin and staff shepherded us through each phase of planning and worked seamlessly with our caterer, pianist, bartenders and servers. It was a magical evening, flawlessly planned and executed without a single hitch. As hostess, I am so thankful that we chose The WImbish House as our venue.

The Wimbish House was a wedding dream come true. The staff (Karin and Karina) is amazing, the venue is gorgeous (doesnt need much decor), its an AMAZING deal for venue in midtown Atl, AND they let you bring your own alcohol.
Loved this space and so did my guests. If you are unsure, get married here.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Wimbish House in November and we cannot say enough about how wonderful this venue is! From our initial tour all the way up until our finale exit on our wedding night, the entire Wimbish House staff was courteous, responsive, accommodating, and made us feel special! We worked particularly with Karin who kept us organized and helped turn our vision into a reality! One of our favorite moments was the little table she had set up for us upstairs during cocktail hour so we could eat our dinner and share a few moments before the reception began. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone getting married in Atlanta! It is absolutely beautiful and Karin in amazing!

Mother of the Groom here! We booked the venue this past July after an exhaustive search for just the right place and our wedding was held in November. Wimbish House was more than a venue for our family -it was a magical experience from start to finish and provided a unique southern backdrop to our almost 120 guests. Like most families ..this was our very first wedding ! Karin Holben , Director of Wimbish House immediately put us at ease, opened her arms and helped us create our special day. I’ll give you the top ten reasons to choose Wimbish .. (1) Location ..we were able to have the wedding and reception in the same amazing location. (2) Flexibility -we were allowed to use our own caterers but at the same time Karin’s staff provided excellent service and coordinated the day from start to finish. (3) The facility was absolutely stunning! The backdrop for photos included great shots inside while wedding party while getting ready, family photos on the porch outside before the wedding, and a great dance floor and reception area to party! (4) Inclusiveness of all the tables, linens, tableware, etc., and the house staff. (5) Karin’s knowledge ! She knew how to get the job done with ease. She helped us make accommodations with our vendors and was extremely responsive and detailed. She even coordinated the drop off the bride and grooms personal belongings after the late reception. (6) Our wedding guests loved it. It was perfect for our out-of-town guests because of the proximity to major hotels , they were able to stay in Midtown, enjoy their time in Atlanta, and easily walk to the Venue . (7) The Wimbish House was beautifully decorated for the holiday season so this just added to the appeal. (8) The accommodations for the bridal party AND groomsmen while dressing were spacious and welcoming. We were able to sneak peaks and keep up with each side! (9) Price ..We absolutely thought Wimbish was by far the leader in its price range

We chose the Wimbish house to host our wedding this past summer. It was a gorgeous venue, accessible for people in wheelchairs, and was elegant and Southern. We had a lot of people (200), and it was able to accommodate my guests. I really don't know what I would have done without Karin and Karina helping me pull this off. I hired Karin as my day of coordinator, and trust me- if you do a wedding here, HIRE THIS SERVICE. I would have come apart otherwise. She kept everyone in line, and our wedding moving along. I didn't have to worry, because she was there.

There really was no other choice except The Wimbish House for Zack and I! The elegance and spaciousness of the venue was matched only by the graciousness and flexibility of our hostess/day-of-coordinator, Karin Holben. What really clenched it for us (besides the location!) were the suites provided for the bride and the groom. That's right, ladies and gentlemen, he gets his own suite!! Not only that, but Wimbish House's affiliate vendors were the creme de la creme- our DJ played the best songs, and ive received so many compliments on the food!! (Reviews to come!) If you really want your wedding to be top notch, and you adore elegance and attention to detail, there really isn't any choice for you, either!

Our wedding at The Wimbish House was like I had always dreamed. Karin was absolutely a pleasure to deal with in planning and executing our wedding. She was extremely knowledgeable and built a rapport with us immediately. She was far better prepared than any of the other planner or venue coordinator we dealt with during our search for a venue. She immediately made my fiance and I feel very comfortable and when we left I knew The Wimbish House was the place for us although we had other venues to see that day. After we secured the venue, Karin made herself available any time that we had a question and was very accessible and responsive to us. You can tell she takes a great deal of pride in her work and I was happy to hire her for the day of coordination. She made sure that the wedding went off without a hitch and it truly was a magical day. Let us tell you how incredible this venue is! First off, it is a steal for the location, ambiance, and capacity that it holds. My fiance and I looked all over the metro Atlanta area and The Wimbish House was extremely competitively priced for a venue of its size, location and quality. The inside is beautiful and the outside is well maintained and makes for phenomenal pictures with a cityscape background. If cityscape isn't your thing the front porch and magnolia tree in the front yard make for great pictures as well. The inside has recently been renovated and casts a very elegant, intimate and classy vibe. Our guests could not stop telling us about how nice it was. Karin Holben, the Venue Manager, meticulously maintains the venue. It is always clean and inviting. The venue also has two pianos that can be used for the ceremony and cocktail hour. I highly recommend this. Having two grand pianos at your disposal (included at no additional charge) is something not to overlook. We could go on and on describing the benefits but you should do yourself a favor and at least go visit it. The venue will speak for itself. Now more about Karin Holben. For a small fee you can use her as your Day Of Planner and she is worth every.last.cent. She knows the ins and outs of that place and it shows from the second you walk in for a tour to the second you enter your getaway car. Honestly, she really shouldn't even call herself the Day Of. She is on your team from the moment you book to the few days concluding your wedding! She knows all the vendors you'll need and will provide you advice and contacts should you ask. She handles the timelines, follows up with your vendors, runs your rehearsal and of course runs point on your big day. In fact, she is there most of the time so she is always thinking about how best to serve you. You will not be disappointed in her or this venue. Do yourself a favor and book a tour.

This is a breathtaking place! Karin and her team were awesome---very responsive and involved. The value for this location and level of service is great. The inclusion of tables and chairs in the price helps a lot. My daughter just got married here last Friday--Dec. 30. We liked the fact that we could purchase and serve our own bar, something that was important to us and is a rare find. The midtown location is convenient for visitors and I love the mansion set amid the skyscrapers of the city. Do not hesitate to choose this venue!

Selecting a venue and planning a wedding (or any event) can be a stressful process. Karin at The Wimbish House will help guide you through it and minimize this stress. She not only helped me think about what items I should budget for and how much these items typically cost, but also connected me with vendors at pricing that aligned with my comfort level and were of excellent quality. This ultimately resulted in no budget overages or hiccups on my special day. I cannot stress how important her guidance was in making my day perfect! Out of all of the wedding venues I visited, Karin was by far and away the best of the best – very warm, knowledgeable, and willing to go the extra mile.
I visited over 20 venues and found The Wimbish House to be the best value given the quality of the facility and its desirable location. Karin was wonderful to work with - very accommodating and friendly. Her recommendations for catering and decor were very helpful - we actually went with companies top on her list and were very happy with them as well. The house is grand and charming all at the same time - with a ballroom attached to it. The location is perfect - walking distance to hotels, restaurants and nightlife so amazing location for our guests all weekend. Very affordable since you can bring your own alcohol which is initially why we chose it. The decor is a little dated but it goes with the house since it's old - I had a decorator come in and "enhance" the feel of the home with draping, lights, candles and floral/greenery - it was absolutely breathtakingly gorgeous! If I could do it all over again, my bridal party would have gotten ready here (upstairs) - so that I wouldn't have been late and could have enjoyed the venue longer than I did. No parking obviously b/c it's in Midtown but all of our guests walked from their hotels or took Uber. The flow of the party was exactly what I wanted - front porch chillin, main home loungy with different rooms to talk and sit and then the ballroom for dancing. Perfect venue - so happy we found this hidden Atlanta gem!

Wimbish stands out from other venues in so many ways: first of all, the property itself is life hosting an event in a beautiful home, having two "levels" for cocktail hour/dinner or wedding attendance/reception. Secondly, Karin Holben and staff are absolutely top notch, professional people who work hard to make your special day seamless! They offer so many "extras" compared with other venues. Really enjoyed our rehearsal dinner here, and would host a wedding or party here in a heartbeat.

My fiance and I are renting The Wimbish House for our wedding reception in November. From the beginning, Karin has been extremely positive and helpful through the process with the contract, event planning, helpful vendor references, and other specific questions related to just planning a wedding. I have often said that I am missing the "bride gene" and Karin relieved me of the anxiety of planning our wedding immediately. She has been incredibly attentive and remains to be detailed oriented. I am eternally grateful to The Atlanta Women's Club for their beautiful venue, The Wimbish House, and even more grateful for Karin's assistance during this beautiful time in our lives.

It's almost a no-brainer, at least for us it was. The home is gorgeous, understated, well maintained & tastefully decorated. Karin is amazing - reliable, enthusiastic, fun, creative, organized, and on top of it. We actually miss her now that the wedding is over! The open house they did helped us to find vendors - Wimbish House appeared to have been careful in their vendor selection, if maybe a little sparse with the flower selection. We did have difficulty getting someone to do our cake, which was in shape of stacked suitcases so we had to go outside their list. I found my makeup girl from that open house (Thea Marie, who was fantastic), caterer (Affairs To Remember), DJ (Marquee), and drapes to line the walkway down to ballroom.
We had our wedding on a Sunday, and although that wasn't our reason for having it on that day, it saved us some $ as the pricing structure is different. Karin & her assistant were a comforting presence on the day of, telling us where to be & what to do. It was an incredible day & the Wimbish House was the place to have it. Absolutely loved it. Incredibly, I was trying to think of another event we could have there, just to get to come back.

We had our wedding reception at The Wimbish House in May of this year, and it was absolutely the best decision we made! The venue truly sets the tone for any wedding/reception, and if you book with The Wimbish House, you will have a classy, elegant, romantic setting with a southern charm. The Wimbish House set the bar very high, and all venues we toured afterward lacked in comparison. Not only did we fall in love with it, but we received many comments from our wedding guests and family on how beautiful The Wimbish House is, and how the reception was incredible.
As beautiful and charming as the venue itself is, the Venue Manager Karin Holben is just as much of an amazing person to work with for your special day. Karin was professional, friendly, patient, enthusiastic, and helpful throughout our entire planning process. Her responsiveness to calls and emails by myself, my (now) husband, family members, etc. was unlike any other vendor we worked with. I'm not very good at decorating, and Karin helped me identify decoration ideas that would work well in the space, and even took measurements for me so I could order the right sizes of things. We also had the pleasure of having Karin as our day-of coordinator, which couldn't have been any better since she knows the venue the best! Our reception went by without a hitch, so much so that we received several comments from guests and the wedding party as to how smoothly everything went - to which my response was, all of the credit for day-of timing and planning goes to Karin! I could go on for several more paragraphs about all of the little details Karin did for us to make sure we were enjoying our day and not worrying (e.g. setting up picture frames and decorations exactly where I wanted, making sure we stuck to the timeline, putting gifts and decorations in my parents' car at the end of the night), and so many more. Bottom line - I would 100% recommend The Wimbish House for any special event!

I am the epitome of a cautious comparison shopper, meaning I toured virtually every venue in Atlanta within the $5,000 and under price point. I thought long and hard, made lists, lost sleep, and finally decided to get married at the Wimbish House. I am SOOO glad we did! For the price, there is literally nothing better in Atlanta. I'm sure of it. If you're looking for a gorgeous venue with a homey feel (like, straight up Great Gatsby mansion) and incredible customer service, stop shopping. This is your place.
Full disclosure, I was hesitant at first to book the venue because I was worried about the ballroom; it didn't woo us like the main part of the house did. In fact, after booking, we almost decided to close off the ballroom and just utilize the main part of the house. But instead we took a chance, brought in a bit of uplighting, and had the reception in the ballroom. It completely transformed! It was jaw-dropping stunning. Trust me, a little lighting can go a LONG way. All of our guests had an absolute blast. Everyone commented on how beautiful the entire venue was. The acoustics in the ballroom are killer, too!
To continue, the venue manager, Karin, is a godsend. She was like a second wedding planner to me throughout the entire process. She bent over backward to accommodate us and several of our vendors, including coming into the office to let us in at early hours and odd days, suggesting specific vendors for us for odd needs (like a coat attendant), and so much more. Booking here was one of the best decisions we made, in the end. I already did all your shopping for you, so you should just book here now and save yourself some much-needed time and bridal energy. :) Truly, you will not be disappointed. I promise.

This venue was the perfect one for us. We did both ceremony and reception here. We were looking for some southern charm for our north eastern guests and a central location--The Wimbish House had both. Only steps away from city life in Atlanta, it had all the southern charm. The house is so beautifully decorated that all you need are a few things to make some personal touches. Karin Holben was such a pleasure to work with. She was always available to talk, answered all my questions promptly, and had our back during the whole process. She truly loves what she does and wanted only the best for us. The whole experience was absolutely great and the wedding turned out to be everything we hoped for!! Thank you Karin!!

This venue is gorgeous! The rooms are formal. The ballroom is so beautiful there are no needs for decorating. The juxtaposition of this beautiful castle-like home against modern skyscrapers is outstanding. Karin, the facility manager, was wonderful to work with. She allowed my best friend, who was the pianist, to come to the venue and try out both pianos. Karin was responsive to communication to accommodating with special requests. I was surprised to find such an affordable, elegant venue right in midtown Atlanta. The wedding was like a fairy tale there.

The Wimbish House was absolutely a perfect venue for our big day! The venue itself is stunning and the location is in one of the most desirable parts of the city. The minute my father and I walked in, Beth made us feel so comfortable in her knowledge of how things should go and her being on top of all of our needs. I emailed her and requested tours of the venue several times and she never seemed frustrated or like she didn't have time for me. The only thing that was a slight issue was being able to hear the music from Opera next door during the ceremony. This is something that Beth warned us about up front and called to let me know that there was an event that would overlap our time only if it rained, and it just so happened to pour on our wedding day! Everything was so beautiful that people hardly seemed to notice though. Every room in this house is decorated to perfection, and I would reccommend it to any bride looking for a gorgeous wedding right in the middle of the city!

We found Wimbish House through internet research and were excited when we found it. It was just the right size for our 125 guest wedding and we loved that no space within the house was off-limits to guests. Wimbish is a beautiful old house that has a light, clean and welcoming feel to it. We loved its location, too. It's right off of Peacthree in the heart of the city in Midtown. We had guests coming from across the country and so we liked that they got a true taste of Atlanta. Not to mention, there are several hotels (Four Seasons, Marriott Suites Midtown) that are just a short 3-5 minute walk from Wimbish. We worked with the event coordinator Beth and she was fantastic. She was very organized, responsive and happy to provide suggestions about things if we asked. There was nothing about the Wimbish House we didn't love and would highly recommend it to anyone!

WOW Thank you Thank you Thank you!!! The Wimbish House is an amazing venue. Beth is sooooo helpful. After having a bad experiemce with another venue, I booked The Wimbish House two months before my wedding and Beth was so patient while I basically started from scratch with my planning. Not to mention the place is BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Being a member of the Atlanta Woman's Club, I also knew that I wanted to have my reception at the Wimbish House. What I didn't know after becoming so familiar with the house, is how blown away my guest would be by its beauty. How blown away I'd be when I saw its transformation on my wedding day. I knew working with Beth would be an enjoyable experience, mainly because she has a good working relationship with most of Atlanta's best vendors. But again, I didn't realize how important it would be until it was time to work out the fine details. Beth was beyond flexible, allowing us to bring our beverages days in advance as well as any decorations we had that they would need the day of. She set up a meeting with all of our vendors, taking us around the house and planning where everything would go so that on the day of there wouldn't be any questions. It was a pleasure working with Beth and I would recommend any bride-to-be looking for a unique Atlanta location to contact the Wimbish House.

Wimbish House was an excellent location to get married. I had a beautiful wedding there with Karin’s help. The location is awesome, venue is beautiful and service is wonderful.

The Wimbish House made our wedding so special. A beautiful location in Midtown that is both elegant and intimate. The space is so well appointed that minimal additional decor was required. We hired Karin Holben as our day-of coordinator. She made our day run smoothly and ensured every detail was covered. She was very flexible with my schedule and gave honest opinions on vendors and decor. One of the things we appreciated the most was arranging for my husband and I to have a private moment to ourselves when we arrived from the church with dinner and champagne.
Our guests couldn't stop talking about what an amazing time they had and how great the venue was.

It's a beautiful historical house tucked in between huge buildings in Midtown. My husband and I wanted a historical venue for our wedding, and had checked out some of the usual venues around Atlanta, like Rhodes Hall, Fox Theater, etc. For value, location, decor, and convenience, The Wimbish House definitely trumped everything else.
The interior is quietly elegant. The only decorations we provided were flowers and such for the fireplaces, but the place really didn't need them. There are several rooms for chatting guests and a dining room on the main floor. The ballroom is below stairs and completely perfect for what we needed (side doors for vendors' entrance, small stage for the ceremony, discreet kitchen doors). Upstairs were two separate floors for the bridal party and the groomsmen to get ready. There are rooms up there beautiful enough to take pictures in, and with the stairs, elevator, and different floors, it was easy to keep my fiance and me from seeing each other. That's another bonus: the elevator was great for my father, who can't climb stairs very well. The front porch had been redone before our wedding and there was room for a couple of tables. There's a charge if you go with caterers off the approved list, but the listed caterers are wonderful. Security on our wedding night was friendly and helpful when it came time for our getaway.
There are a few rules about confetti, sparklers, etc, but we didn't mind. It's important to remember that this place is not just a venue. It's also a historical home still used as HQ by the Atlanta Women's Club. Making modifications to some of our plans was easy to preserve the integrity of the WH and it was still a wonderful place for a wedding. Some married guests mentioned they wished they had known about The Wimbish for their wedding! Beth was great and responsive when it came to questions and the walk-throughs. If you're getting married in Atlanta, I can't recommend this venue enough!

The Wimbish House is a gorgeous venue!! Very classy and elegant place to have your wedding. Excellent location in the heart of Midtown yet still has southern charm on the inside. I actually booked this venue without seeing it in person and was not disappointed. My guests absolutely loved it and are still talking about how lovely the place is. Beth was very helpful and is very responsive to any question or concern you may have. There is ample space for the wedding party to get ready in and the place doesn't need much decorations. It's beautiful on its own. I would highly recommend having your wedding here. :)

Beth at the Wimbish House was great with setting us up for our wedding ceremony & reception at the Wimbish House. She was very responsive via email and phone and easily adjusted to whatever changes we made. The house has a beautiful setup inside. It has different areas to have various functions and has a very charming feel to it. It already has its own decoration so we barely had to add any more. Even though our guest size (50) was small, we still fit very nicely in both the parlor for the cocktail hour and the hall for the ceremony and reception.
