Iliana Juarez was our direct contact for the Westin and our wedding, she was an amazing person to work with, extremely attentive and very professional. She was the reason why I wanted to have my wedding here, from the first day we met her she met all our needs and it felt like we had family taking care of us. I loved everything from the service to the servers and all the staff that worked on our wedding. It honestly was an amazing experience thanks to Iliana!!!Iliana Juarez was our direct contact for the Westin and our wedding, she was an amazing person to work with, extremely attentive and very professional. We love the Westin!
Our wedding reception was hosted at the Westin, and it was amazing! Important factors we considered for our venue were that it must be dog friendly, convenient for traveling guests, and ultimately affordable and the Westin was all that and more! We worked with Tess Howell and Amanda Gagnon. Both were so sweet and extremely supportive throughout the entire planning process. Towards the end, I was definitely a stressed and indecisive bride, but Amanda was so patient and helpful and responded to all of my many many emails and questions. They made the planning process so much easier for us. We had a lot of specific details (tea ceremony, money dance, private dance, cookie table, dogs) and they were on top of everything! The bi-level suite and groomsmen room were perfect for getting ready. It was so welcoming and provided us with snacks and champagne (even treats and a bed for our pups!) So sweet! All of the rooms were also clean and tidy. Majority of our bridal party were able to stay on the same floor as the garden terrace/ballroom, which again, was so convenient. All of the guests I spoke to loved the food and the overall ambiance. Everyone freaked out when our picture was displayed on the outside building and in the lobby. It was such a cute addition, and again, Amanda and Tess were extremely proactive and welcoming and ensured that we were taken care of from beginning to end. Worst experience
DO NOT BOOK WITH THE WESTIN UNLESS YOU WANT MORE STRESS ON YOUR PLATE.
When I was searching for reception venues, I was looking for 2 things. To have my dog present and to be able to have cold sparklers. The Westin initially agreed to accommodate both request, which is why I chose to book with them.
Our POC was Tess Howell (who disappeared in our conversation for some reason) and Amanda Gagnon who knew our whole plan from the beginning which was around 9 months prior to the wedding. We were told the cold sparklers were allowed as long as we had a pyrotechnician. We even spoke with the ones in charge for the fire/safety department of the Westin. Everyone said it was okay. We hired a pyrotech, signed contracts, paid the down payment and everything. We even did a site vendor walk through with everyone. We were all set.
3 days before the wedding, I was informed that we weren’t allowed to have the cold sparklers because they require the permits from the pyrotech.
Our pyrotech would have been able to provide the permits if the Westin allowed us adequate time to acquire that. The Westin waited 3 days before the wedding date to give us a notice.
With so much frustration, stress, and anxiety, I would like to warn any brides who consider booking with the Westin. Don’t let them surprise you at the very end. No bride should ever have to go through this.
They didn’t even accommodate for what they’ve done..don’t book with them, it’s not worth it.DO NOT BOOK WITH THE WESTIN UNLESS YOU WANT MORE STRESS ON YOUR PLATE.
