My dress was perfect!

The Wedding Seamstress did a wonderful job altering my dress. It fit like a glove on the wedding day. They are super kind and professional, and know how to make your dress look beautiful! They are also reasonably priced compared to other alteration shops in the Denver area!

Thank you Wedding Seamstress!

The team at the Wedding Seamstress was exceptional! It took a few appointments to get all of the measurements and alterations finished. Even one of the appointments, I forgot my wedding shoes and they were very understanding and booked me for another time with no problem. They make it easy to speak up (like me asking to change the style of my bustle) and they are encouraging to any decisions you may need help with. I wasn’t sure how I wanted my cups to look, and I am extremely pleased with the results from their suggestion. I feel so lucky to have had such a beautiful day with such a beautiful dress!

A grateful mother

The Wedding Seamstress handled my daughter’s wedding alterations perfectly. The staff throughout our experience were kind, professional and so supportive. The dress was perfect for my daughter. As well the work they did on her sister, the maid of honor’s dress was perfect - making her love a dress she only liked at first. Thank you for being a large part of her beautiful day.

They work wonders!

The Wedding Seamstress worked wonders on my wedding dress! I got my dream dress online but it was a size too small. I took it to the wedding seamstress and when I got it back it fit PERFECTLY to me. The whole staff is so supportive and encouraging.

Upfront pricing & professional alterations

The Wedding Seamstress was upfront with pricing and had my dress done a month before the wedding. My dress had two separate pieces - a satin slip dress with a delicate Chantilly lace overlay - both of which were altered to perfectly fit my body. The staff were friendly and offered suggestions on how to best keep the scalloped lace in place.

Perfect for that custom work needed on every dress

You can buy a dress from them, or have them custom make a dress, but they are an exceptional gem because of their specialization in alterations. Take them a dress old or new, and have them make it perfect, whether fitting, changing features, or adding custom details… you will be amazing

Absolutely loved them!

The staff at the Wedding Seamstress are incredible! They put so much care and attention to my dress. When we postponed our wedding due to Covid, they let me come back many times and try it on with them and fix a few things. They even stored it for me for a while! I had the top of my dress altered a lot and you would have absolutely no idea - it looked perfect! I was surprised by how much I enjoyed my visits there and will honestly miss seeing them!

Wedding Seamstress saves the day!

Wedding Seamstress saves the day!! I initially went to a different tailor and had a terrible experience - when they took in my dress they made the buttons and seams extremely crooked. Fortunately - Wedding Seamstress came to the rescue! They took me in and put me at ease saying they could fix my dress. So nice, courteous, clean shop, and most importantly great quality work. Not only were they able to fix my dress, but they made made sure it fit perfectly for the big day. I also purchased my wedding veil here, they did custom fabric, length and width. Amazing seamstresses, they really know their stuff and were able to work magic. Thank you Wedding Seamstress for saving my wedding dress!!!!!

I came in with two formal dresses to get altered. This shop is seriously amazing. Not only did they do a fabulous job with the alterations to my two dresses, but every person on the staff is absolutely lovely and amazing!! I could not be happier with the job the Wedding Seamstress did on my wedding dress. The dress itself was beautiful already, but after they worked their magic it was perfectly fitted to my body and incredibly flattering. They also adjusted the length and added cups, and the total price was still very reasonable - way worth it for the work done! I felt like a princess on my wedding day. Thank you!

Best decision ever!! I decided to bring my wedding dress to a local business instead of having the alterations done with a big corporate company. From the beginning I was happy with my decision. They really listened to what I wanted for the dress and we went through ideas to make my dress perfect. The price was reasonable and at my second fitting the dress was perfect.. I could not be more happy to have chosen the Wedding Seamstress for all my wedding dress needs. Deedee worked a miracle transforming my mother's 1970 designer dress into something modern and unique for me. I had my doubts going into the first visit that such drastic alterations could be done to the hand-made smocking, but Deedee enthusiastically rose to the challenge. So happy I was able to find The Wedding Seamstress to do my alterations on my gown. Everything was perfect and the staff was incredible to work with. They are very serious about what they do, but they made all my fittings an enjoyable experience. My dress fit perfectly on the big day and I will return for any future needs.

I bought my dress at a shop that ended up being difficult to work with so I was super worried about finding an alterations shop that could help make all of the alterations to my dress. I found the wedding seamstress online and I could not have been happier. My dress fit like a glove. They really took their time to get the fit right and they added a perfect bustle to my dress. They even made recommendations to help save some costs on the alterations by adding crinoline to the under skirt to raise it a hair so we didn't have to alter the entire hem line. They are amazing. The service was awesome, the alterations perfect. I am also having my dress cleaned, preserved and repaired by them as well to keep it in mint condition.

The Wedding Seamstress did an incredible job on the alterations for my wedding dress. It was a ballgown and not an easy job! The ladies at the Wedding Seamstress were so helpful, friendly and accommodating to what I needed. They did alterations three different times to make sure it fit me perfectly, and they never changed the price they quoted me at the beginning. Deedee at the Wedding Seamstress is one of the most creative and talented people I have ever met. After spending hours looking for the perfect wedding dress with no luck in finding "the one" my wedding planner Kerri scheduled me an appointment to talk to Deedee about having a custom dress made. My first thoughts were; there is no way I can afford that and what happens if it doesn't turn out?! Upon meeting Deedee all of my worries vanished. She has a no nonsense attitude and is so knowledgeable about her craft you can't help but put all your faith in her hands. Needless to say she was able to make me my dream dress for a very afoordable price and it turned out stunningly. It fit like a glove and looked exactly how I imagined it. If you are a bride looking for something slightly unusal in your wedding dress, you owe it to yourself to schedule an appointment with Deedee.

There are not words enough for DeeDee and her staff at D'Lola and the Wedding Seamstress. I had my wedding gown made by DeeDee and it was not the most traditional of gowns to start, but DeeDee seemed so excited to work on it and took my thoughts and made them even better in reality. To top it off, my (now) husband and I were starting to try for a family even before the first fitting. I told DeeDee this on my first visit with her and she said we would work it out for whatever happened. I was able to get pregnant and my original due date was two weeks before the wedding, though our miracle girl made her debut 3 weeks earlier. DeeDee worked fittings around my growing belly and burned the midnight oil the last week and a half before the wedding so I could have the most beautiful wedding gown that fit like a glove. DeeDee and her staff were absolute pleasures to work with and I loved the entire experience!

DeeDee and her staff were able to transform my fit and flare lace dress to perfection. It turned out to be absolutely beautiful and I cannot thank them enough! I specifically enjoyed working with Justin. He just had me and my sister cracking up during one of our visits and we just had so much fun, not to mention that he understood all of the changes I wanted to make and had some great suggestions. For brides that would like some more information: This is on their website, but expect about 4 visits total including your initial consultation. You will be given a quote and if you accept, the option to put down a deposit or pay in full. I only had a problem with my appointments one time, and DeeDee promptly got on the phone, cleared up the miscommunication with the receptionist and was able to work with my schedule. (Which I very much appreciated since I live about 45 min away from her shop). When I went in for my final fitting, she had me put on my shoes and we practiced some dance moves and made sure I was able to sit in the dress to ensure my overall comfort. These are small touches that are much appreciated. I still have a week or so until my wedding but I have put my dress on a few times and I love it more each time. They also made a few adjustments to a dress I am wearing to my rehearsal and that turned out great as well. They stay very busy so my suggestion is to make your appointments ahead of time using the online booking or by calling them.

DeeDee is very sweet and talented. She operates her business with a personal touch and you feel you are doing business with a friend. She fit me in on very short notice (which I don't recommend you take advantage of but she did fit me in for a wedding dress emergency)! I needed a last minute bustle--and last minute as in I left the country for my wedding the next day. DeeDee's staff was booked already but DeeDee graciously offered to do my bustle herself over her own lunch break. Above and beyond!

Also, her prices for alterations are very reasonable. I am from another state though my fiance/husband lives in Denver, and my seamstress from back home who worked on my dress charged quite a bit more for her services. I thought DeeDee did a better job than my original seamstress and I wish I had been able to have DeeDee do all of my alterations!

DeeDee and her staff REALLY know the wedding gown industry and they know how to make dresses fit.

I'm so grateful to DeeDee for helping me with my last minute dress conundrum and taking away my dress stress!

Oh my gosh! I went here off of a recommendation of a co-worker, and my only regret was that I did not check out the custom line before purchasing my current dress. What they were able to do to my "off the rack" dress was awesome enough, so I can't imagine what can be done from scratch. Initially, I was worried that I had not gotten "my" dress, I went in to The Wedding Seamstress with that I thought was going to be some major alterations, and she was able to create the exact look I wanted, and it was very reasonably priced. I would recommend this shop to everyone!

I was very impressed with everything this shop had to offer. They were able to get my wedding gown adjusted within one week at a great price. They were very professional and it shows how much experience they have with the quality of their evolution and final product. This is the place to go for any adjustments. I loved the way my wedding gown turned out, it was beautiful and fit exceptionally well.

Deedee and staff were great to work with. My dress fit like a glove. They took the time (and extreme talent) to complete my full lace dress alterations beautifully! I am unable to put into words just how grateful I am for your amazing work. I purchased a dress that I saw the utmost potential in, however it was not what I dreamed of as it was. I visited DeeDee 4 months prior to my wedding to discuss the changes that I desired, and after a few short minutes, it was clear to me that she had envisioned my vision perfectly! After a few return visits, DeeDee had transformed my dress into my dream come true! Not to mention, on every return visit it felt like I was visiting a friend. Deedee took my dress down from a size 10 to a size 2 and did an incredibly beautiful job. My dress fit like a glove, and I could not have been happier with the final result. On my final fitting we made 3 fairly significant adjustments. She listened to what I wanted and encouraged me to do what I felt comfortable with. She even spun me around a few times to make sure that everything would be comfortable when I was dancing. She showed me how to walk (not picking up my dress!) and how to sit in my dress at the reception.

Every time I can into the Wedding Seamstress for a fitting, everyone was organized, ready for me, and knew exactly what needed to be done.

I love Deedee's energy, her laughter, stories and insight. She told me a story about her own wedding, which I remembered on my day, and kept me from taking things too seriously and reminded me that the day was really about the two of us. Deedee has a very deep personal history, and if you take the time to get to know her you will appreciate her even more.

I couldn't be happier with my experience at the Wedding Seamstress, and if you truly want a master to handle your dress, you've found the right place!

Where to begin? DeeDee and her entire staff were such an ABSOLUTE DELIGHT from start to finish! I don't very often give a perfect score, however, in this case ... it is WELL DESERVED! As the Mother of the Bride and quite honestly ... stressing myself for the perfect fit ... anxiety can run high. Especially when you are trying to surprise your husband and your daughters on that ever so special Wedding Day. Everyone I dealt with was professional and CARING (something that seems hard to find these days). They helped calm my nerves, took the time to answer my questions, and offered many helpful suggestions .. even down to (as silly as this sounds) how do I hold this shawl thing? LOL. They are a busy little shop, but they make it work and you get that welcome "your family" feeling and one-on-one attention. My KUDOS to everyone at The Wedding Seamstress, you can bet on me referring everyone I know to you and when my other daughter gets married in the future. We WILL be back for another visit! Booking my first appointment was easy - I sent an email and got a prompt response. They were flexible and happy to book out far in advance to satisfy my Bride-OCD-moment.

When I arrived they were very clear about their policies and expectations of me. All of my questions were answered and I felt like I was being treated fairly and with appropriate professionalism. They weren't overly bubbly or annoying like a lot of wedding vendors.

They took lots of photos and notes during the initial visit and when I came back to try the dress on 4 weeks later it fit perfectly. She had several suggestions for minor alterations that I think made the dress fit better than expected. She also made a really cool bustle that was easy to use.

After the wedding I put the dress up for sale and asked them for the actual measurements so I could post them and they gladly gave them to me.

I highly recommend this company!

Deedee and staff are beyond talented!!

I fell in love with a Badgley Mischka dress off a rack at a bridal salon in Denver. I thought it was a flattering fit for my shape but had some major concerns with maintaining the elegant shape of the dress with the alterations it would require to fit my 4'11" stature. I also wanted it be more glam. Deedee was EXCITED to be working with me and suggested that we add material to create a full trumpet element to the gown.

Each fitting made me happier than the last. Deedee and crew take every detail into consideration when making these alterations. I lost about 20 lbs during this process and each alteration accommodated these changes. Just today, I commented that the top was a bit lose. The dress was taken to the seamstress ON THE SPOT and brought back to me within 15 minutes.

I trusted Deedee to design my veil as well. She really understands the bride's vision and creates a gorgeous look, not just hems & bustles. While I said yes to the dress a while back, I didn't realize that I would be this happy with the final product.

DeeDee and Justin are just amazing- I can not say enough great things about the quality and customer service that they provide. I had originally bought my dress at another store and The Wedding Seamstress was recommended for alterations. After arriving for my first day on the wrong day, in which the store was closed - DeeDee personally left a class she was teaching to meet me-for only a consultation appointment! She was friendly and helpful- even though I totally put her at an inconvienence. But wait- the service only gets better....2 weeks after dropping off my dress, I learned I was pregnant. Again, DeeDee came to my rescue! she offered ideas on how to alter the dress i had so it would be comfortable. she never tried to sell me a new dress. In the end, I opted to go with a new dress and tried on one of the Lola raw silk gowns- I loved it! I was expecting her to tell me it was thousands of dollars since I had tried on similar gowns at other botique stores that were $2000-$4000 dollars- but not this one ... it was less than $1000! and not only that, but DeeDee had already started hemming my old dress- in which she took out the hem so I could sell it in its original state and she credited me 100% of the alteration costs to my new dress. but the story continues...as my body continues to change over the weeks- DeeDee has worked with me several times to make sure my dress fits just perfectly. she has made extra time and scheduled additional fittings to ensure that come my wedding day I will be comfortable and the dress will fit perfectly. Both DeeDee and Justin have been friendly, helpful and professional. They have taken time to get to know me and what is important to me as a person in addition to the whole dress stuff. it just feels comfortable there- like working with family.

I originally met with Deedee to discuss my wedding dress back in April 2013; however, walked away when a family friend (who is also a wedding seamstress) offered to alter my dress as a wedding gift. Flash forward to December, just 2 weeks before my destination wedding, and my dress was much less than perfect. I came crawling back to Deedee at The Wedding Seamstress, and she was nothing but accepting, and understanding. She completely helped turn my dress back into the vision I had when I first bought the dress. She put in so much time and extra effort to make sure my dress was absolutely perfect for my wedding day and never gave me any grief for only giving her a 2 week turnaround time :) She even practiced dancing with me to make sure everything moved and fit perfectly!

I originally made the mistake of assuming all seamstresses were equal, but after seeing what Deedee can do, it is obvious that she is a true expert in her field. If you are going to spend money on the dress of your dreams, it only makes sense to take it to the expert to get the final look you really want on your big day. You will be so happy that you did!

Deedee is amazing and so talented! I wanted to incorporate my Mom's dress into the ceremony but didn't want to wear it. Instead, Deedee made a beautiful purse and hair piece for me to carry/wear on my wedding day, along with a handkerchief for my Mom (she cried) and one for my husband to wear in his tux. I just went back and had her make a couple beautiful picture frames for my sister. Now everyone has a piece of my Mom's dress to keep. She takes on every project with 100% attention and dedication, no matter how small. I can't thank Deedee enough for her talent and professionalism. I found Deedee while looking for a seamstress to fix what another seamstress (in Fort Collins) had done to my wedding dress. Since this was my first experience buying and altering a wedding dress, I didn't really know what to expect. The first seamstress botched take-ins under my armpits. Instead of taking in the hem all the way down to my hips, she only took it in in the armpit area. This caused the dress to bunch up in that area and look generally ill-fitting. She had also taken the original scalloped lace edge (around the top) and actually tucked it in where she hemmed, thus losing the lace edge altogether on both sides (!!!) I made the rookie mistake of going to this appointment alone and not really noticing the bad job until I tried it on to show a friend. It's amazing how you can overlook things like this in the excitement of it all. Being a budget-minded bride, I thought I could just accept it and told myself no one would notice on the day of (which is probably true). I put the dress on again and again and finally decided that I'd rather have it done properly.

So I read all these amazing review of Deedee and took my hot mess of a dress to her. I did end up waiting a bit in the front room before being seen (~15-20 mins), but I generally don't let that bother me. When I met Deedee, the first impression I got was that she was all business. She listened to my story, but had a grave look on her face the whole time. Admittedly, I was a bit intimidated. Thinking back on it, I'm guessing that she was frustrated with the terrible number that had been done on the dress in the first place and was contemplating how to fix it.

I picked my dress up today and I just could not believe the transformation. It fits like a glove and I once again feel beautiful in my dress. Deedee, you are a miracle-worker!

DeeDee has incredible talent. I showed her a picture of my dress, which was previously purchased in NYC, and she instantly knew the fabric they used, and went right to work in creating the most beautiful bolero to accent my wedding dress. I was nervous to get something custom made, and by a different designer, but DeeDee totally nailed it, listening to the few requests I wanted, too. I received so many compliments about the bolero, but the most important is the way I felt on my wedding day. It was exactly what I wanted, and I can't thank DeeDee enough!

My daughters wedding was only 3 months away and she had bought her dress from an online website, it needed alterations and the veil needed to be changed into a comb instead of the bonnet. They were able to do the alterations and the veil in just under 2 1/2 months, it is perfection!! It looks beautiful on my daughter and fits her like a glove. I had priced the changing of the veil and was quoted $20.00 from a lady from a bridal shop, they charged us $5.00 for the change. It was a great price for what needed to be done and was done so quickly we were estactic. Beautiful work and personalities all around, definatley have told all of our friends. Thank you ladies for making a special day look beautiful.

Dee Dee did an AMAZING job on my dress! I purchased by dress from Priscilla of Boston, which was having a store closing sale. So you buy as is with no alterations. The dress that I had purchased was a size 12, however i'm a size 0. Once I purchashed the dress I began to have doubts on whether the dress could be altered down to my size while keeping the integrity of the dress. Doing alot of research on local seamstresses, Dee Dee appealed to me the most. So I made an appointment and from there my expectations were met! She assured me that my dress can be altered down to a 0 and the intreigty of the dress will still be there. She told me to breath and not to worry at all. Every single appointment that I had she made sure that it was to my expectation- after all it was the biggest day of my life! She wanted me to love the dress and not just like it. My dress fitted perfectly and I have Dee Dee to thank! :)

I bought my dress at Bea's Bridal Nook and they had recommended the Wedding Seamstress for alterations. I am so glad they did because the staff there was fabulous. I needed the hem shortened and a bustle put in initially and was so glad they were able to do it within my short time frame (3 weeks). I came back 2 weeks before my wedding to try it on and because I had lost weight we needed to alter it again! I was scared that they wouldn't be able to with just 2 weeks until the wedding date, but the following week I came in and it fit perfectly. Crisis averted. I was SO impressed with the way my dress came out! I bought my dress in Houston at Winnie Couture and since I live here in Colorado, I wasn't able to take it there to be altered. I was so worried about finding a good seamstress to alter my dress but luckily my sister found this place. I got my dress altered and when I picked it up and there was no way I could have been happier with the way it turned out. It fits perfectly and it is exactly the way I pictured it. Also, it was nice and quick. I didn't have to stay there for hours in pins. She is amazingly accurate and talented. My wedding was yesterday and my husband absolutely loved the dress and even made a comment about how beautifully my dress fit! Deedee and her staff were helpful and extremely accommodating for arranging appointments around my schedule. I do not live in Colorado and she was excellent about communicating and letting me know how my dress was coming to life. I could only visit the shop on the times I was visiting and there was never a problem to fit me in.

Both my sister and I got our dresses from Deedee. When we were in the shop it felt welcoming and comforting. The amount of care and dedication she has for both her clients and her work is truly phenomenal.

Deedee Vicory and team were amazing with helping me create my dream wedding dress! I saw the dress at Colorado fashion week last October and knew it was my dress! Loved DeeDee and the Wedding Seamstress! Driving from Colorado Springs is not a big deal for the 100% satisfaction you receive. I bought my dress from a national/large bridal chain who said the dress could not be altered to a sweetheart neckline. I found it hard to believe that anything could not be altered--so I started looking. The reviews for seamstresses in the Springs seemed 50/50....but my friend recommended The Wedding Seamstress and I really could not be happier. Not only did she alter the neckline to a sweetheart (which looked great!), but she kept the dress after the second fitting until a few days before the wedding since I had changed measurements. She wanted to ensure that the dress fit and was ready to do last minute alternations if my body changed again. They were really easy to work with (not to mention they have chocolate if you need a little to relax after a stressful drive ;-) I received so many compliments on my wedding day. The price was very reasonable. I highly recommend and it is worth the drive because really---a bride deserves 100% satisfaction for her wedding.

DeeDee was absolutely amazing! I bought my all-lace dress used, and it needed major work to fit me--hemline, straps lengthened, bust adjusted, zipper replaced, etc. DeeDee completely reconstructed the dress, including suggesting alterations that I didn't even notice it needed, but that made it look a thousand times better. In the end, no one could possibly have known my dress was used - it fit perfectly and looked brand new. With DeeDee's help, I was able to wear my dream dress even though the brand new version was way out of my price range.

All I can say is WOW!!! To all of the Brides out there, you DO NOT and should not be forced into choosing the alterations provided by the bridal salon where you purchased your dress. Buy your dress wherever you'd like but then take it to DeeDee at The Wedding Seamstress!

Here's my story and proof of why The Wedding Seamstress is amazing:

I bought my dress from a bridal salon, which I will not mention, and they told me that their alterations lady was "the best in the business" so, not knowing better, (because it's not like you get married all the time) I went for it. I went in 6 weeks before my wedding, they pinned me all up and I left with a second appointment set for a week before my wedding.

4 weeks later... I get a phone call from said alterations lady stating that "it's just not going to work, we can't do your alterations. We're sorry."

Ummm... I'm sorry...what?!?!?

Anyways, that very same bridal salon knew it was their responsibility to make it happen so who did they call?!? The wedding seamstress! Of course they did, because even THEY know she's the best!!

I met with DeeDee 10 days before my wedding, she took my measurements, pinned like two spots on my dress and took pictures. I showed up a week later and Voila!! It fit perfectly and looked beautiful!!!! I walked out of the Wedding Seamstress EXTREMELY satisfied!

Brides, seriously, take your dress from the shop where you bought it and take it to The Wedding Seamstress! You won't be sorry!!

CUSTOM DESIGN + ALTERATIONS = Fantastic
I had purchased a used La Sposa Fanal dress and brought it in to Deedee to do some alterations. I wanted to convert the dress to a one-shoulder dress and brought three pictures as a guide. I left the rest to her expertise, creativity, and talent! The dress turned out beautifully! She designed a stunning floral garland over my right shoulder that was weightless, elegant, and blended perfectly with the lines of the existing dress.
Not only that, but her alterations were impeccable! Apparently, the previous seamstress has done a shotty job and had taken shortcuts in her stitching which caused the dress to pull and bunch in certain area of the bust. Deedee and her team completely resewed sections of the seams, recreating the beautiful sweetheart neckline that the original designer intended. And it fit like a glove!
And all of this for just about $300! Fantastic!!

Deedee and her crew were amazing! I'm very tall and was worried about length so I bought my dress quite large and needed it seriously taken in. My dress was made of flowing,draped, chiffon with a fitted top and very open back so I'm sure it was not easy to keep the aesthetics of the dress while altering the fit so significantly. I was so excited to see it finally fitted that I left a bit early after what would have been my final fitting, not noticing that the hips were overlarge and really unflattering. Deedee was wonderful about letting me come back in right away and she personally fixed the issue. I felt horrible, knowing I was taking up her personal time (I made her late to dinner!), but she was so gracious. The dress fit so beautifully I wish I could wear it again!!

Didi did a FANTASTIC job on my dress! When I came in, it was two sizes too big, and not quite the shape I wanted. She was able to make it fit perfectly, and flatter every part of me! I went for 3 fittings, which was perfect. It got a little better each time! I would definitely recommend her! She is quite busy, so leave yourself plenty of time to finish the alterations (mine took about 3 months for a spring wedding, but probably could have been done faster if I was in more of a hurry)

I cannot say enough good things about DeeDee. In short, she knows her stuff. At my first fitting, I tried on my unique twenties style dress I have not found the likes of anywhere but the consignment shop I bought it in. DeeDee immediately knew what designer, line, and year it was.

She is a superior seamstress not only because of her skill with sewing and her expertise designing, but also because she is so knowledgeable about bridal couture. She knows what the designer had in mind. With that said, she is extremely flexible. From slight changes to better accomodate body type to the extent of redesigning dresses completely, DeeDee wants what you want.

When I tried on my newly altered wedding dress at my last fitting, she asked me if there was absolutely anything at all that I would like differently about my dress. I was actually able to say no.

DeeDee is sweet, easy to talk to, and knows just the right thing to say.

Whether you're rich or poor, self-consious or self-loving, don't trust your wedding dress with anyone but DeeDee.

DeeDee is great! I got an appointment in a reasonable time and loved visiting her store! It is adorable and has a wonderful vibe!

She and her staff were friendly and you could tell they were very busy since it was wedding season!

She allowed me to get into my dress and listened to what I wanted. I had a pair of Spanx on and she even told me to remove the crazy garment because it didn't let the dress sit properly on my body! Love the woman - who tells you to ever take off Spanx?

My dress needed to be shortened and she told me that I was one of the easiest alterations to my normally difficult BCBG dress! It was fast and reasonable!

I'm so glad that I worked with her and she put me at ease for my big day! DeeDee and her staff are wonderful!

I only had bra cups put in, my French bustle, and my hem done but the work was fantastic. I did have to go in three which they told me was lot... :) I didn't think so, I went in for an original measurements, a second time to try it one and the final time it was perfect.

The quality, price and quick turn around where all fantastic.

I cannot even put into words how wonderful I think Deedee at The Wedding Seamstress is. I went to her with a halter top dress that I was not too thrilled with. She added cap sleeves that completely changed the dress into something I absolutely loved! She also altered 3 bridemaid dresses all at an amazing cost.

Deedee is amazing at what she does. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

I recently had my dress altered for my wedding and was a little nervous about who to choose for this because there were so many different companies to choose from in Colorado. I could not be more pleased that I chose the Wedding Seamstress for my dress alterations. I felt so comfortable to let them alter my dress because they were very professional, clean, honest, and amazing!! I am the type of Bride who is very picky about things especially when it comes to altering my dress. When I went in for the final fitting I could not have been more suprised as to how well everything fit!!

They did an amazing job and are probably the best in Colorado!! I live on the south end of town but was willing to drive all the way to Olde Town Arvada for my dress alterations because I knew they would be the perfect company to alter my dress. They do everything in house and will make sure you are completely happy with your results or they will fix it at no charge until you are satisfied!!

I worked with the wedding seamstress for alterations on my wedding gown and she was amazing! I had found the absolute last available sample of my dream gown that had been discontinued and she was able to take it and turn it into a spectacular one of a kind dress. I would highly recommend the wedding seamstress to any Denver area brides.

I had a family member hem my wedding dress because I was trying to be frugal. It wasn't done intentionally, but the hem was crooked, it was too short, and it was just plain horrifying. I had to act quickly because I only had less than 2 weeks before the wedding. I found The Wedding Seamstress online, called them and they had me in there the next day. They knew immediately what had to be done and how to do it. The lack of time was not a problem for them. They had my dress fixed and dry cleaned in time for my wedding. I will truly say that The Wedding Seamstress saved my dress and my special day!

This place is a hidden gem! She really knows the science behind the bridal gown and does it for the right cost; affordable and well done. She took in the side seams for my bridesmaid dresses, and did the hem and bustle on my dress. My bustle did rip and fall out at the end of the night, but I blame it on the wet ground and weight it added to my dress and the delicacy of the chiffon. My one suggestion would be to air out your dress after it goes there. I think the owner prior to Deedee smoked and that smell is left a bit after the dress has been there for a while.

I brought in a dress to be reconstructed. It turned out absolutley beautiful and it only cost about $375. It was exactly what I wanted and was finished far ahead of time.

I am so glad I found DeeDee. She does great work and I was completely happy with everything. The alterations she made on my dress and the bridesmaid dresses turned out great. The bustle was perfect. DeeDee also made a custom veil to match the bead work on my dress.

The Wedding Seamstress shop did a perfect job altering my dress. It flattered me and was super comfortable for a full 12 hour day. My dress was purchased as a previously "used" sample from a boutique in another state. I bought it site unseen because I loved the style and it was a discontinued dress that wasn't available anywhere near me. DeeDee and her team made the dress look brand new and like it was made just for me!

This dress was VERY busy-with flowers and beading it would be a lot of work to fix it. I took it to the wedding seamstress on the recommendation of a friend, they were really helpful and sweet. They gave me the rundown on my options, as they could tell I was thinking budget the whole time, so we had a cheap cheaper and cheapest option, which was nice. Deedee could tell I was pretty devastated about the dress, so she gave me a big hug, which really helped alleviate some of the anxiousness I was feeling. She and her assistants were very professional and comforting and even told me that they suggest I go get other quotes because it’s important to know what’s out there, etc. so I did, but I didn’t get the same feeling from anyone else I spoke with and certainly no one gave me an understanding hug and one seamstress said she just flat would not work on this type of dress, ”too much going on” another seamstress wanted to put a ribbon on the bottom (?um, no) and another wanted an insane amount of money to work on it. Dee dee knows all about the mechanics of a dress in relation to body movements and measurements, which is important (you want to sit down). Also had some helpful hints on female body fluctuations too. She told me what to expect, what she could do and how to do it. She gave me a price and that was exactly what we were charged. This is by far the cleanest, most attentive, most sincere and knowledgeable place you can find in the wedding dress business. They have several custom gowns and had redone some older gowns with a makeover, they looked amazing. You can really tell these folks love what they do and try to make everyone feel like a princess for their big day.

The wedding seamstress was great! I bought my dress at David's Bridal (I do NOT receommend them) and decided to take it to the Wedding Seamstress for alterations because I was not happy with the quality or customer service at David's Bridal. I was having my wedding in a different state from which I was living at the time, and that's where the first problems happened with DB. My dress was shipped to Colorado and I was living in Arkansas (which DB recommended I do). But when I tried to schedule alterationswith DB, they said I should ship it myself to Arkansas to do alterations there. I called The Wedding Seamstress and explained my situation. They were great at scheduling me for both fittings in the one week I was visiting Colorado before the wedding. I tried it on for the first time there and was worried because the dress was made so poorly that the lace overlay was cut crooked and was shorter than the satin in the front. The Wedding Seamstress did a great job fixing it and making the dress fit beautifully. I marked slightly lower on professionalism because I thought the seamstress wasn't very friendly. She wasn't rude, just didn't smile much and was a little short. But for the quality of service and flexibility, I highly recommend The Wedding Seamstress!!

Made my dress fit perfectly!

The Wedding Seamstress was amazing. They took my sample sale wedding dress and made it look like it had been made just for me! I had to have the dress taken in, straps shortened, cups sewn in, and a large tear in the hem needed repaired. They were able to do all of this and more. My dress fit perfectly. I had three appointments before my final fitting when I took my dress home and they were so helpful each time. They got everything done in a timely manner as well. It was a bit pricely BUT if you want something done right you need to make sure you pay for the services you need. It was worth every penny to have a dress that fit like a glove.

Deedee runs a professional operation, her shop is a whimsical yet clean and glamorous space. She and her assistants use an ipad to take photos at each juncture, and records your requests so there is no miscommunication. She understands the timeline of when to get fittings. I didn't see an obvious tagging system, but each time I came in for a fitting, my dress was waiting for me. No lost dresses! My wedding dress had a structured bustier top with 5 layers and a train: 3 decorative, a lining, and another for poof- so it was expensive to hem, take in the entire bodice, and bustle, but the price was justified. The taking in of the bust, waist, and hips of the bodice made my dress fit perfect. Despite a slight shifting in the top decorative layer after hemming (taken in at top where skirt meets bodice), Deedee's professional eye was able to spot it at the fitting and expedited fixed it. There was a slight aesthetic issue regarding the positioning of the layers, and I bet they would have fixed it if I asked, but I was able to jury rig it myself. The bustle was cleverly done, and they provided me with a map. Once bustled, it took up the train to be the same length as the front, while still being in beautifully ruffled layers. I never used it though - after the ceremony I hiked 1 mile hike in the wedding gown, and changed into the reception gown Deedee and her team hemmed. In the hemming process of the reception dress, the pleats fell out, so I pressed them back in- remember they aren't a dry cleaner. More importantly, they hemmed the slippery chiffon to the perfect length for me, and kept the small train intact as requested. They gave me the remnants from the hemming, and it proved to be great that they did, when I used it for my bouquet. The Wedding Seamstress and Deedee are willing to work with you on anything you ask - as long as you ask. They also do beautiful work on difficult materials.

I ordered my dress from a boutique in Wisconsin but I live in Colorado and was getting married there so I wanted to do my alterations around Denver. The wedding seamstress was recommended by several friends and they did not disappoint! The dress that was ordered for me was too big in the shoulder and in various other places. There was a ton of beading, lace and a keyhole back so they had to remove the beading and then reattach it once they fitted the dress down. I was very nervous to how it was overall going to fit. However, I came back in to try on the dress assuming I’d need at least one more fitting, but it fit perfectly! At the appointment the bustle wasn’t laying correctly, so DeeDee got down and fixed it right then and there. Very professional staff and reasonably priced for the quality of their work!

I came to Deedee and Justin Vicory with a dress purchased at a rather large bridal store and in its original state it lacked personality and uniqueness. However, I could tell it had good bones and with the right seamstress my vision would be recognized. After my first fitting, Deedee allowed me a “freak out” and completely indulged my neurotic follow-up e-mail reassuring me that the course to make a dress truly yours is not a one step process, it takes time and patience. The end result was far better than I could have imagined. The dress fit me like a couture gown made for my body alone and the care and attention to detail put into every last stitch it what I now consider to be a work of art.

As busy as the staff is you never feel rushed or hurried in any way once you walk in the door. Deedee takes the time to answer any question or concern with straightforward honesty coupled with expertise. I highly recommend Deedee and her team to make your dream gown a reality.

After purchasing my dress from a nearby Bridal Salon, I took my dress to Deedee for a consultation. I was shocked to find out that my dress was 3 sizes too big for me and was heartbroken when I put it on because it made me look HUGE. I met with several other seamstresses in the area and she was, by far, the only one who understood exactly what needed to be done. She may not be the cheapest, but you truly do get what you pay for. After my first fitting, I almost cried seeing my dress the way it was supposed to look on me. She took it in 3 inches down the entire side seam, did a hem, sewed cups in, and made a bustle. I am very pleased with how my dress fit me on my wedding day, I had a million compliments and it was because Deedee and her staff made my dress look how it was supposed to look!

Let me say, i was comferted with the friendlyness of dee dee and her staff. After a stressfull experiance with the davids bridal staff, ( who wanted to charge me $350.00 to take my dress in from a 12 to a 9.5 from the hips up ) I was extreamly impressed with her knowladge and vision for my dress. They took the stress out of it when I was charged $82.00. i would tell any bride who whos dress dosnt fit quite right to take it to the wedding seamstress!

I addressed a friend of mine several weeks ago about where she had her wedding dress altered and how she felt about it. My reason for asking was that I wasn't satisfied with what the shop I bought my dress at, was about to do to my dress. I only had 6 weeks or so before my wedding and I didn't think I would even have enough time if I did decide to go outside the shop I purchased it at. However, I wanted to at least see. I took my friend's recommendation. My friend called The Wedding Seamstress for me over the Fourth of July weekend and they returned my call that following Tuesday! They were able to get me in in a week! And made alterations the shop didn't even think of, that made the dress fit so much better and look so much better on me! I was and am so happy I decided to, despite the time constraint, go outside the shop. Please know The Wedding Seamstress is worth taking your dress out the the shop and you likely WILL have time...and like me be so much happier for doing so! If I ever get married again...hahahaha Thanks Wedding Seamstress.

We had a tricky situation in that my bride and I have very different body shapes with very different styles, and we didn't want to be wearing 2 white dresses. After looking around and finding out how much it would cost to have a white dress altered for her and a white dress altered and dyed to navy for me, we looked into custom dresses. By the time we would've paid for all the changes to a dress on the rack, the cost of having 2 custom dresses made that were perfect compliments to one another was essentially equal. The benefit of having 2 complimentary dresses made to perfectly fit your body is invaluable. I was worried about having a navy blue dress that looked like a prom dress or a mother-of-the-bride dress, but Deedee designed a stunning navy blue wedding dress with a creme sash for me and a beautiful creme wedding dress with a navy blue sash for my bride. Deedee was the visionary all along, so if you are like us and don't have a specific vision of what you want besides a shape and color of dress, go to Deedee for a beautiful result.

Dede and her team of seamstress do fantastic work in a very timely manner. The alterations to my wedding dress were stunning, and made it feel like the dress was ment for only myself. She also makes wedding dresses and if I would have know that before going out to buy a dress I would have had her make my a dress. Appointment times were rigid, but that is due to the volume of work they are doing on any given day.

I purchased my gown at a Brides Against Breast Cancer event, but Deedee from the Wedding Seamstress did my alterations. I will say that my dress looked fabulous and fit me like a glove. During my first fitting, I thought she was a little curt, but I guess that could also be seen as "all business." My mom had some conversations with her on the phone as well that she described as less than pleaseant. However, when I went to pick up my dress, Deedee was very cordial and helpful. She made one small additional alteration on the spot, but then I was good to go! Since my dress was so big to begin with, I was pretty impressed with how well it fit me after just one set of measurements.

Deedee at the Wedding Seamstress is fantastic. I went to her with a dress that I had purchased at a consignment shop. While the dress fit, I wanted to add some sleeves to it. I brought with me some photos of what I was envisioning, along with some lace and she went to work. At the first fitting, I fell in love with her work. She made the integration of the old dress and the new lace look seamless. It was so flattering and so unique. She is great to work with and really listens to what you want.

Deedee is a truly amazing seamstress. I brought her a dress that was 6 sizes too big and probably a foot too long for me and she made it fit like a glove. She made my wedding dress better than I ever could have imagined! She was also very flexible and patient since I had to come back for extra fittings because I kept losing weight due to the stress of studying for the Bar exam. I can't thank her enough for the dress and the memories it brings me.

She is all business, but she does fantastic work.
Just don't expect a lot of fluff and pampering. My dress fit perfectly and was so comfortable.
