My experience at The Wedding Plaza was absolutely incredible. My bridal consultant, Nelly was just amazing I literally don't have the words to describe how good she was. I've visited many bridal salons and not one consultant came close to being as good as she was. She has a keen eye for dresses that will look just right on your body. I'm not tiny girl (size 14 and loving it) and Nelly picked gowns that accentuated all of my lovely curves and hid any imperfections. I had a large entourage with me and everyone said the same thing...her taste was amazing. The owner, Ron was also incredible and he even gave my friends and I champagne. I went to a few other appointments after visiting the Wedding Plaza, however I couldn't stop thinking about my experience there. I called them minutes to closing time and asked if I could come back that night. Nelly and Ron graciously accommodated me and waited for me to say yes to my dress. I can't wait for my big day. Thank you Nelly and Ron! -

The owner, Ron, was very welcoming and cheerful and my wonderful Bridal Consultant, Dawn, was extremely helpful and a joy to work with. The Wedding Plaza has a friendly vibe and everyone there was polite and kind. -

The Perfect Experience & The Perfect Dress!
In my first visit to The Wedding Plaza I knew I had started off in the right direction. When I first visited I tried on a variety of dresses in my price point. I fell in love with ONE. Three months later I went back with an open mind and I everything fell perfectly in place. Everything was natural and nothing was forced. I am a plus sized bride. Street size 12-14. This is a hard position for any bride. From the beginning they offered my styles that I could realistically try on and get a clear picture of. Ultimately, I chose a Martin Thornburg dress which is part of the Mon Cheri collection. Only after I purchased my dress I realized how exclusive and reasonable in cost this was. All the ladies at the shop were a pleasure from my first visit to my last fitting. The owner Ron was like family to me on my last visit. He was honest, welcoming, and a pleasure to do business with. Carmela the tailer, AMAZING. SO patient. She kept telling me during my fittings, this is not good enough come back again! Of course this was in her goal to perfection. She made sure my straps (which (which I actually added at the end of my journey) were perfect. My bra, my bustle, and waist were of course payed perfect attention to so I could look gorgeous on my special day! From the headpiece, to the veil, to the jewelry, and to the actual dress I was COMPLETELY happy. The personal, friendly, and family atmosphere was amazing. I would suggest The Wedding Plaza to any bride who expects the best! -

Let me start off with the good - I loved my dress. I loved my veil. I loved the tiara. Everything came together beautifully and fit well. I didn't have any quality issues and the whole process of shopping for my dress & getting fitted for my dress was really well-structured and enjoyable. I was able to bring most of my bridesmaids and some of my cousins for all my dress fittings, which was great!
My only issue with the wedding plaza came towards the end of the process, with the alterations. I felt like they were rushed into the last three weeks of the process and every time I went back to try the dress on, there were things missing - the hem wasn't cut, the sleeves weren't attached yet etc. I also felt like there was every opportunity taken to upcharge me throughout the alteration process, with a skirt being added in two weeks before the wedding. I was surprised at my alteration price given that I wasn't having that much done to the dress aside from adding straps & having the bust/hem taken in.
All in all, the dress did fit and looked gorgeous but it was pretty stressful to not see the dress done with the straps on until 5 days before I got married (and have that be the last time I could try it on to make any changes as well). I recommend the Wedding Plaza for trying on your dress, buying your dress and fitting your dress - not so much with alterations! Ron and the other shop girls were incredibly helpful and very easy to work with throughout the process. -

We went here for bridesmaids dresses. Aside from my sister the MOH(she got her dress elsewhere) I had 4 bridesmaides. 3 out of the 4 bridesmaids purchased there Bill Levkoff dresses here. I went with different dress style and mixed colors. The staff was very friendly and worked well with my girls. Dawn and Ron were terrific and have remarkable patience and knowledge of each designer and what colors coordinate well together. I appreciate all their help and assistance. Unfortunately, the seamstresses aren't that great. All my bridesmaids had a problem with their straps, hems or bust area. I had an issue when I brought my bridal shower dress there to have the straps altered and cups sewn in, it was a disaster!! I had to have them take it out as it looked so obvious, tight and ridiculous. In my opinion, they are not good at what they do and screwed up my dresse. I had to re-order and overnight a new dress from Nordstroms. I am glad I had a sewing kit with me in the bridal suite. -

Christina Sent on 09/29/2014I had a wonderful experience finding and purchasing my bridal dress. I even purchased my bridesmaids dresses here as well. Krystine assisted us while we were there and I cannot say enough nice things about her. She was amazing and unbelievably helpful. She actually requested that I try on a dress that was brand new out of the box in the store because they hadn't seen it on a bride yet. It turned out to be THE dress! She was great also helping to coordinate bridesmaid dresses as well since I let all the girls pick different styles of similar dresses. My only complaint is when it comes to the alterations. I had many problems with my bra showing because of the cut of my dress. After eventually correcting the bra most of the way, it was still showing on the sides of my dress. They promised to have it fixed the next time I came back--just cover it with coordinating lace. When I came back, my dress was all packaged up ready to take home. They seemed a bit upset that I wanted to try it on one last time to make sure. In the end though the dress fit beautifully on the day of my wedding. -

Sasha Sent on 05/01/2014I ordered my dress here in August of 2013. The service was great. My attendant was very helpful and truly gave her honest opinions. However, It has been almost nine months since i ordered my dress and I have yet to hear from them. I called once in January to see if everything was okay since i hadn't heard from them and I called again in March because when I called in January they had told me a few more months. Both times i called, they were unable to give me any real details or any arrival date. I honestly don't think that they looked up my file or anything before they rushed through the conversation. Hopefully I will hear from them soon.. -

User887178 Sent on 07/01/2012very upset with this store. At first, I was head over heels about The Wedding Plaza. Dont get me wrong, they have beautiful dresses and accessories but the service is terrible and the work is cheap. The seamstress was making her own decisions on the bridesmaid dresses, even telling one of my BMs that she had to remove a piece and flip it to make it look right when I never asked them to do that and without them knowing if all the girls were doing alterations there. The employees were never on the same page and could not tell me who had been there, who still needed to come and who was waiting to pick up what. I even had one of my BMs told that she did not need any alterations, then when she went in to pick it up after it was steamed, they told her they needed to cut some off of the bottom.
My wedding gown didnt even look steamed and when I asked to try it on the day I picked it up, just to be on the safe side as a nervous bride, they told me no because then they would have to steam it again!!!!!
My flower girl lost the shouder ribbon on her dress before the reception even started and my bustle came undone and broke during our first dance. I was so disappointed with their lack of attention. Mind you this bussle was missing strings when I first went to examine it at the shop after they claimed they put the bussle in.
The attendants on the main floor knew NOTHING. I asked one woman who was left to get their dresses and she said that one girl came to pay in full but didnt pick up her dress...she couldnt tell me why or when she was coming back....when I called my friend she said they are steaming it and she has an appointment in 2 days. Same with my flowergirl, they told me to make sure she makes an appt bc its coming down to the wire....I text her mother and she tells me that she is coming in 2HOURS for her SCHEDULED appt.

Extremely terrible experience. Will not recommend. As soon as I walked in, I was "greeted" with an insanely rude and quite frankly racist store employee by the name of Luana. Initially, another employee stated we would not be required to pay our remaining balance until my fiance tried on the dress. However, Luana took over and had such a terrible attitude. When told about her attitude, she further escalated and continued to raise her voice and continue with her angry and racist remarks. Her excuse is that she is Italian. Brown people beware of this place and this racist individual. I had questions about how the process works, why the policy is cash only, and what happens if my fiancé's dress does not fit according to the fitting. Luana had a rude answer for all the questions and then asked why the groom with the family and that it's "their culture for the man to speak." I will speak up for the rights of those who are Ill treated by racist employees such as luana. I expected the manager to tune in and assist, but instead, she decided to join in and explain that the employee was not wrong because she worked there for 16 years. New flash, it's 2024, brown people have a right to purchase and shop with respect just as much as anyone else. This store needs new employees or at least employees who are taught how to treat people with respect. I have so much to say about this horrible experience and will be willing to speak to anyone who might be interested in going to this store. Short story, DO NOT GO. No store deserves business when they employ rude and racist employees. Oh and Luana's excuse when called out on her rude and racist behavior? Her godfather is the owner so she doesn't care. I wish i started to record her racist and rude remarks earlier. When i started to record her behavior, she started to walk away but because her racism could not be controlled, she kept coming back with her racist and rude behavior. As a former prosecutor, I've treated defendants with more respect than these employees, especially Luana. I have DA colleagues who I've seen first hand treat defendants better than Luana treated my family and I. Horrible horrible experience. A nightmare. We just paid our balance (we spent over $4,000) and walked out without my fiance trying any of her things because of how scared and abused she felt by Luana and the manager.

User1433858 Sent on 11/12/2013STAY AWAY! Ordered first wedding dress - waited three months - comes in the wrong color. Wanted off white, NOT white...they tried to tell me the WHITE dress I was looking at was off-white; I pull the sample and the colors are not a match...they finally spill the truth and say that the manufacturer doesn't make that dress in the same fabric anymore and that is why the colors are different.
I was offered my money back or I could pick another dress - I should have taken the $$$ and ran. But the owner was trying to fix things so I gave them another chance...MISTAKE. I picked another dress, unfortunately, there wasn't time to order a new one, so I had to take the sample. It was clean and in good condition so while not my ideal, it would do better than walking down the aisle in a dress I hated.
First time I tried on the dress, it was a little big and they needed to use two clips to hold it on. I came back the next day with my sisters to show them and the dress was tight. I asked if they had more than one sample and they said no. Turns out the owner had the Carmella (ugh!), the seamstress take the dress in two inches so "...you would have a better idea how the dress would look" - who does that?
The owner said there would be no charge for alterations, the slip and the blusher to try and make up for the mess with the first dress. Well, I guess Carmella makes her $$$ off the alterations and accessories, because she didn't want to do squat to make the dress fit properly.
I told her the dress was too tight and she said they couldn't take it out any more - LIE. At one of my fittings, I told Carmella that I needed a larger size slip she told me they only come in one size - LIE. When my sister said what do plus size brides wear? Carmella LIED once again "...they don't wear this kind of dress."
I told Carmella the label on the slip read MEDIUM so they come in sizes, I asked her to order me a large. When I arrived -

Grace Sent on 05/21/2017I first did business with the Wedding Plaza when I was being fitted for a bridesmaid dress in 2007. Then, in 2012, I purchased my own bridesmaid dresses there for my own wedding (I had 8 girls and the dresses were almost $300 EACH), plus my mom bought her mother-of-the-bride's dress there as well. So when my future SIL went looking for bridesmaid dresses for her upcoming wedding, I took her straight to the Wedding Plaza.
I walked into the Wedding Plaza on 5/20/17 expecting to be treated like royalty after giving them so much business. The girls upstairs were extremely sweet and friendly and I didn't even mind the wait; I understood that it was a Saturday afternoon and things can get busy.
I was then taken downstairs where they do the fittings. Carmela, their seamstress, was already working on a bride, her sister and her mother, all who had on dresses that needed to be fitted. Plus there was one other girl from a separate bridal party. Again, I didn't mind the wait. I finally was taken to a room where I put my dress on. It fit great and zipped all the way up, but it was slightly bunchy in the butt area. Carmela finally gets to me and, in the middle of the store with 4 strange women around, starts commenting on how tight my dress is (I didn't feel it was tight at all). She then looks at the tag and says "wow, that's a big size!" I have been heavy all my life, but never have I ever been made to feel so humiliated or ashamed. She completely fat-shamed me in a room full of strangers, who were all staring at me. She then complained, yes COMPLAINED, about having to order extra fabric. When she was done, she gave me a disapproving look as if she was angry at me that my "big size" was such an inconvenience to her because now she had to do extra work. I should add that Carmela herself is no size 2, so that made this encounter even more surprising. I am a grown woman, 34, married and with a child, and I spent the rest of the afternoon crying. I will not be returning.
