The Waverly Restaurant’s Soirée Room Reviews

The Waverly was the perfect spot for our wedding last December! If you are looking for an intimate wedding venue that captures the beauty of Englewood, the Waverly is it. Hunter and his team were incredibly hospitable and accommodating during the planning process and event. He took the time to meet with us, walk through all the details of the day, and answer our every question. I dropped off the decorations the day before the wedding, and the Waverly team decorated the venue beautifully - we did not have to worry about anything. We had our ceremony and reception in the upstairs room at 4:30pm, and the view of the beach and ocean was breathtaking. You almost did not need decorations at all. The dance floor, bar, and buffet were all in the same spot, and this layout lent itself to easy mingling all night long. Directly outside was a balcony perfect for photos and enjoying the winter weather. Hunter orchestrated all the details of the day, and served as an amazing built-in wedding planner. The bartenders and wait staff were efficient and professional, and made the entire night easy and peaceful. We chose a buffet with steak, salmon and chicken (with veggies and potatoes on the side). The food at the Waverly is always great, but the food that night was particularly outstanding. Our guests continue to remark about how fun and enjoyable the event was. We are so grateful to the Waverly team for making our wedding day special.

The Waverly was a great venue for my beach front wedding! Hunter, the event coordinator, was very organized and so helpful leading up to the wedding and on the wedding day. We were able to get a beach front ceremony then followed by an amazing reception in some AC. It was the best day ever, the Waverly is to thank for that!

We could not have asked for a more perfect wedding experience at The Waverly! From start to finish, everything was seamless and completely stress-free.
Our wedding coordinator, Hunter, was absolutely amazing. He handled every detail and coordinated flawlessly with all of our third-party vendors, including the florist and DJ, which allowed us to simply enjoy our day. The beach ceremony setup was beautiful and exactly what we had envisioned.
The food was absolutely incredible—our guests are still talking about it! We especially recommend the raw bar, which was a huge hit.
Most importantly, we were able to truly relax and enjoy our wedding without worrying about a thing. So many of our guests told us it was one of the best weddings they had ever attended, and we couldn’t agree more.
The Waverly gave us the perfect wedding day, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful venue, amazing food, and a truly stress-free experience!

Everything was easy and to our specifications. Hunter and the team made everything easy from planning to setting up on the day. We coordinated everything and it was very professional. Our wedding was fun and the food was outstanding!

We just had our wedding here on February 2nd, I would highly recommend this venue to anyone who would love a beach wedding and a reception overlooking the ocean. Frank was an amazing coordinator and helped make everything flow nice and easy the day and night of the wedding. Frank was there with us every step of the way and was very easy to work with and very responsive to emails, texts, or calls. The food was amazing and top notch. Absolutely loved our wedding here!

Frank at the Gulf View Grill went above and beyond adding special touches for my wedding and making sure that everything went smoothly. His attention to detail, consistent communication along the way, and love of his job was amazing! The room was simply beautiful, better than I could have imagined it and the food was amazing as well! Hands down, best venue choice!! Frank is the absolute best when it comes to planning every detail of your wedding and reception. From day one of meeting with him, he had so much excitement in helping us plan the perfect wedding day! He is quick to respond to any calls or emails--especially when it is being planned from a distance (we live in Orlando). Frank makes sure every detail is up to par and perfect according to your specifications. He confirms everything with you and makes sure there is nothing to worry about! I can honestly say our wedding day was PERFECT! Seriously! I could not have anything more than positive things to say about Gulf View Grill and especially the event planner Frank Koziel. First, the location is absolutely beautiful and such a romantic setting. We had our wedding on the beach in the evening followed by the reception at the restaurant which is conveniently located right across the street. Our wedding included approximately 110 guests and everyone raved about the food! We chose the prime rib, snapper and chicken marsala and all received excellent reviews. Frank was instrumental in helping me to plan the event and was a godsend. The service, setting and atmosphere at this venue is unbeatable! Thank you to Frank and the staff for making the wedding so spectacular!

I was surprised that this place is not as popular as it should be. It was not on the venues list in the knot. And I believe that this venue should be advertised in every wedding magazine in Florida! This is one of the most romantic and charming places I have ever been at. And trust me I have been to a lot of places traveling the US. I did not even have a man in my life, and was in a totally different state when I made the decision that this is the place where my wedding will be at! I fell head over heels in love with the building! It is so gorgeous! The restaurant is on the second floor overlooking the Gulf! You could sit there watching the sunset for dinner! Or you could take out your drinks on the balcony for that breathtaking Florida sunset!!!!!!! I set my goals and the event coordinator Mike Kenney made my dreams come true!!!!! When finally the man of my dreams came in to my life, I ended up walking down the aisle to unite in holy matrimony on the beach! And then had the reception at the Gulf View Grill! The day was perfect! !! The weather was perfect the food was perfect! And most of all I was not even stressed on the big day, since I knew that I only had the best of the best coordinators! Mike Kenney! I knew that he had everything in his hands and under his control to make sure that the day was perfect! !!! A little rain don't scare him! He worked around all circumstances to make sure its perfect!!!!! Oh and did I forget to mention that their drinks are the best!!! I have searched for years where they make my favorite Pina Colada! The only two places was Hawaii, and now finally in Florida! !!! If you have not been to Gulf View Grill!!!!! You are missing out!!!!!
