Perfect Wedding in the Woods
We held our 60-person wedding at the Wallace Falls Lodge in Late September. It was PERFECT. We rented out the whole lodge for the weekend so we could have all of our close friends and family with us for the whole weekend and it was the best thing for our wedding. We got to start setting things up the night before, so the morning wasn’t super crazy! Working with Kendra and Adrienne was superb! They are so kind and helpful making sure you have everything that you need, and all questions are answered. Kendra helped set up the weekend and every time we got to chat, she remembered all of our details and had the best suggestions for vendors and layouts. Adriene was there day of and helped answer last minute questions, located parking signage, and managed vendor questions with ease! The lodge made some recent upgrades so the ceremony and reception space (new tables and arch) was absolutely gorgeous! Check in/Check out is easy if you follow their list, and the flow of the wedding day was a breeze because everything was at the same place! Our group is already planning an anniversary trip for us because the lodge was so much fun! Thank you, Wallace Falls Lodge and team!-

Beautiful locale with everything you need for your wedding!
The Wallace Falls Lodge was an absolutely gorgeous place to host our 100-person wedding! All of our guests commented on the beauty, serenity, and privacy of our locale. The forest/lodge/mountain backdrop is SO pretty, and there is ample space for getting ready/wedding party prep, the wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, dancing, after party, and sleeping overnight. We LOVED having one location that fit all of our needs, and were grateful to not have to coordinate transportation between ceremony and reception, or reception and lodging.
Also, we worked primarily with Kendra (venue coordinator) and she was super helpful, responsive, and communicative throughout the process! She did a great job answering our (endless) questions, and made sure everything was prepped and ready the day-of. We had zero hiccups, which allowed us to enjoy our wedding to the fullest and focus on the big day! All in all, we loved Wallace Falls Lodge. :) -

Picturesque
I had the absolute pleasure of DJing at Wallace Falls Lodge last Saturday, and I can't say enough about this incredible wedding venue! The lodge itself is rustic and elegant, providing the perfect backdrop. The staff at Wallace Falls Lodge were exceptionally helpful, making sure everything ran smoothly, and the couple and their guests were well taken care of. The event space was well thought out, which made my job as a DJ a breeze. I can't wait for the next opportunity to work at this picturesque venue. If you're looking for a dreamy setting for your special day, look no further than Wallace Falls Lodge!

Covid Dream Wedding
I had a covid wedding here in November and it was better than we dreamed. The communication with the owner was great. They are very kind and responsive and worked with our other vendors nicely. We had 28 ppl and each household was able to have their own room and bathroom. The fall colors were stunning and the inside is decorated so woodsy and fun. My family loved being able to stay the whole weekend and the intimate wedding. The bridal suite was so cute and the perfect amount of space. We took our wedding photos at the state park next door and the scenery was breathtaking. We had a beautiful dinner at the Carriage house then danced outside under the tent. Our guests also enjoyed a smores bar at the fire pit then late night hot tubbing. The weekend was SO FUN! Looking forward to coming back for years to come for special occasions. -

We are so happy that we chose Wallace Falls as our wedding venue. Mary always returned our emails as fast as possible, the lodge was cozy, clean, and orderly upon arrival, and the management staff was welcoming and helpful. We loved being able to stay at the lodge with our family from Friday afternoon until Monday morning. That gave us plenty of time to set things up, have the rehearsal, let our families mingle, and after the wedding we had lots of time to tear down and clean up. And the value was great. We were able to pay each month leading up to the wedding instead of all at once. Broken down, the lodge was about $250 per night/per room. That's not bad for a whole wedding and reception site as well as a place to stay and get ready for friends and family. -

So far everything has been so smooth! They were really flexible in allowing us to do a payment plan and we've been back to visit the lodge twice since we booked it, everything has been wonderful! It's so beautiful and they are so accommodating! I know every day I chose the right venue and can't wait to get married there and give another rave review after! -

To the owners and staff at Wallace Falls Lodge, thank you so much for making my wedding a fairytale and dream come true! The lodge was everything my husband and I hoped for and more, and it was the perfect avenue for hosting out-of-state wedding party members and family. I loved having the place for three days; it gave us the opportunity to have rehearsal the night before the wedding while accommodating guests at the same time. I am 100% confident that our wedding had ZERO problems and ran so smoothly BECAUSE we had the lodge to ourselves for all of that time. We were already set up Friday night so Saturday was just blissful and take-down was a piece of cake, and Sunday after was relaxing and cozy. Even though we had pouring down rain, we were still able to get amazing photographs due to the individuality of the lodge and it's beautiful architecture. I could not have found a more perfect spot to celebrate our marriage, and I can't wait to come back for either an anniversary or family reunion. Thank you! -

My wedding at Wallace Falls Lodge was absolutely perfect. We didn't have to worry about having many decorations because the place itself was beautiful! We had an outdoor ceremony at the altar provided in the field outside the lodge, and an outdoor reception under the tented area adjacent to the lodge. Since I only had 48 guests and most of them came from out of town, it was perfect for many of them to stay with us in the lodge itself. We were all comfortable and relaxed, especially because we rented the whole place out for 3 nights. The facilities were clean and the outdoor areas were perfectly manicured and maintained. David, the groundskeeper, was accessible and so friendly. We loved having out wedding here - it was effortless! -

We booked this lodge for three nights so we could arrive early and sleep in the next day. The location was beautiful for our outdoor wedding, all of our guests loved it. This is a family owned lodge, it's got such a homey feel. They were very professional, and answered all our questions promptly. It's a great value, we are so happy with our choice of venue. -

We had an August weekend wedding at Wallace Falls lodge and we loved all of it! The owner was easy and responsive to get in touch to schedule a visit at the beginning and the groundskeeper at the time helped really sell the attitude and vibe of the more remote rustic setting. There are rules, but there is some flexibility and the owners are willing to work with you if you are a responsible group of people. I thought it was really helpful that they gave us a payment plan option so that the payments were spread out over time instead of one large lump sum. The inside of the lodge was kitschy and very woodsy decorated, but very fitting for the area and in no way distasteful. We thought it was great. The grounds are beautiful and there is so much space to spread out. It was incredibly helpful to have tables and chairs already on site without having to cart things around or pay extra for that. There was a hot tub and dance hall, horseshoe pit, fire pit, and an arbor all available for use and really helped to make the whole weekend a great time. Some of our more prissy guests weren't thrilled with the option of using outhouses for bathrooms, and so they stole inside to use private guest bedroom bathrooms. For the amount of amenities and space you get for people to stay in private rooms over 3 nights, I thought that the price was worth it. We had such an awesome weekend at the lodge and would recommend it to others! -

Beautiful Venue, Best with a Coordinator
Wallace Falls Lodge is a special place to get married. It’s secluded, surrounded by nature, and we even saw a mama and baby deer during our stay. We, along with our wedding party, stayed in the lodge before and after the wedding, and that time together was so meaningful. Everyone was comfortable (each room has its own bathroom!) and loved the cozy feel of the lodge. A gem of the property is the “spa room”—it’s perfect for wedding day hair and makeup and made getting ready so easy.
The lodge provides a lot of event essentials: a large event tent, live edge tables, white chairs, a permanent bar, and event tables. Not having to rent those items or coordinate deliveries was a huge relief. While I didn’t meet the day-of venue staff myself, my coordinator worked with Adrienne and said she was amazing—thoughtful, thorough, and went above and beyond. Based on our final details call with Adrienne, I felt confident she would take care of us, and she did. Overall, the venue itself was absolutely the right place for us, and we’re beyond happy with how our wedding turned out.
Fair warning, planning a wedding here is complex. You’re responsible for finding, vetting, and making sure each contract complies with the venue’s requirements before signing. This gave us freedom to shape the wedding we wanted with our chosen vendors, but it was a tremendous amount of work. The vendor list provided could have been more helpful if it were updated with more recent recommendations or vendors they have partnership agreements with.
There are logistical quirks worth being aware of. The venue prohibits use of lodge water (including hose water) for event purposes such as filling chafing dishes. It makes sense that they need to conserve well water, but it meant we had to bring in about 50 gallons of water ourselves. On top of that, there’s no event-designated refrigeration or freezer space on-site (the lodge’s kitchen is not available for wedding use). To make it work, we borrowed about 10 coolers from family and friends and arranged for 500 lbs of ice locally (we used all but 20 pounds for a 100 person wedding). While it ultimately worked out, pulling that together took hours of additional planning and was one of the most stressful parts of the process.
The venue manager, Kendra, is warm, upbeat, and a great host when touring prospective couples—she clearly shines at marketing the venue. But in the months leading up to our wedding, we struggled with her communication and management. At times she gave us information inconsistent with our contract (like different “last song” cut-off times), or advice that contradicted venue rules. Meetings took significantly longer than they needed to because of unrelated tangents, and the lack of efficiency became frustrating when we had so much else on our plates. After we’d agreed all communication should route through our coordinator starting the Thursday before the wedding, she messaged us directly instead of respecting that arrangement. For us, it was important to fully disconnect and be present, and that boundary being overlooked was disappointing.
In the end, we wouldn’t change our choice. Wallace Falls Lodge is a stunning, one-of-a-kind venue that gave us the wedding we hoped for. Just go in with eyes open to the extra logistics, plan ahead for water/ice/cooler needs, and ideally work with a coordinator who can help bridge the gaps. With those things in place, you’ll have an amazing experience in a gorgeous setting. -
