Ms. Charlotte is amazing! Would do it all over again!
We are new to the area and had no witnesses, but she made it happen!
Ms. Charlotte's (The Vow Keeper) service is nothing short of amazing! From her many choices of wedding packages, familiarity of the area and nearby towns, professionalism, great personality, the list goes on. We wanted a wedding in the desert and we got just that and more!
We are forever grateful for her being our wedding planner, officiant, and photographer! Our wedding day could not have been more perfect! -

The Vow Keeper at Joshua Tree
From beginning to end it was amazing! It was easy to contact her . Her response was quick and options were given to our liking . We didn’t want to deal with getting married inside the park , so she had another option that turn out to be great because we were alone and still had the Joshua Trees in the background. In the website there are many options to choose from and I like that because some of the options we didn’t think about. An easy website to navigate but if you have any questions you can reach to Charlotte and she will respond quick. During the ceremony it was easy to follow her directions on where to park , we talked a bit to feel the environment and so she could know on how we want it the ceremony to me and she made us feel calm and gave us some warnings just in case we feel nervous because it is a big day for all. I enjoyed her presence and how she managed the ceremony made it extra special . Would highly recommended The Vow Keeper -

Charlotte delivered and exceeded every expectation.
We chose the Earth Based Crystal Ceremony, and her commitment to customizing every single detail, from incorporating our unique love story and faith journey, to honoring our parents and seamlessly blending our children made the entire ceremony feel incredibly deep and personal. She took time and care to get the tone exactly right, ensuring it was sincere, tear-jerking, and perfectly focused on our spiritual foundation. Thoughtful touches
We had a last minute elopement wedding. The vow keeper helped us with every detail, how and where to get marriage license quickly. Including special instructions to speed things up for us later. She gave a thoughtful speech that moved us. And was calm and relaxed with our dogs. We had a stress free wedding and she was a big part of that. -

Charlotte is wonderful !!!
She was always great at getting back to me promptly, walking me through the process and sending helpful reminders.
On the wedding day she came with her husband Larry who took photos of our ceremony. Afterwards they both took photos and helped us capture our day beautifully!!
They were both extremely kind and loving people with calm energy which we needed. No matter how prepared you are, the emotions of such a beautiful day and loving experience can be powerful.
The fee is very reasonable for both Ceramony and photography. I used one of her makeup/hair vendors and was really happy with that choice too.
Charlotte has carefully vetted all her vendors which was also very helpful considering I don’t live locally.

She has such a warm, calming presence, and gave us priceless advice about our ceremony, the park and our marriage license. From the moment we got in contact with Charlotte, we knew we had made the right choice for our elopement.
From day one she was helpful, responsive, patient, knowledgeable and delightful.
Her warmth and compassion was evident from the moment we reached out to her to the completion of the ceremony.
She went above and beyond to make the day perfect for us and made everything so smooth that we had nothing to be worried about.
The instructions were clear and concise through the entire process and all the stress was taken out of the day. Charlotte was amazing. My partner and I planned a very small & intimate ceremony at our Airbnb in Joshua Tree, I came across The Vow Keeper when searching for possible officiants. Planning our day with her was seamless. She really took her time in making our that our day would be what we were needing. She also provided so many suggestions for us as far as vendors and made it extremely helpful planning our ceremony out of state.
On our actual ceremony day she allowed us the space to really make it special and our own. It is obvious how much she genuinely cares for her couples.
We would highly recommend Charlotte if you are looking for an officiant in Joshua Tree or surrounding areas. -

We hired Charlotte almost a year out from our wedding and she was so accommodating every step of the way.
I rescheduled the ceremony timeline multiple times and she never once made a fuss. She really wanted to help make our day as special as she could. Last minute I was in need of chairs and she came through by providing her own beautiful vintage chairs for us to rent. She also took some very nice photos of us and even gave us cute little tubes so we can collect the earth from the ground where we married.
If you are considering her - go for it. Her vows are plentiful to choose from and she really allows you to personalize the entire experience. My family and friends were so touched by our ceremony. I cant thank her enough! -

Charlotte was a joy to work with. She's very professional, thoughtful and patient in the face of chaos. She seems to have seen it all.
We took a long time to choose our ceremony, and we made some updates that reflected what we wanted. She delivered the ceremony just how we asked. We couldn't have asked for a better officiant. She took some photos as well and sent them to us the same day - that was really kind and thoughtful.
While signing our marriage license, she was very knowledgeable about how things needed to be signed in order to be accepted. I would recommend her to anyone getting married in the desert communities. -

Charlotte was wonderful to work with and so willing to work with my changing schedule. There was a sandstorm the morning of my wedding and she called to make sure everything was okay and was still going to meet us in JTNP for our wedding if that's what we wanted. Originally we planned to elope to New Orleans but Covid 19 shut down our plans and we decided to wait a few months and explore our options. Once we decided that we would marry in Joshua Tree I started reaching out to local officiants. When I reached out to the Vow Keeper I knew we had found the person to marry us. Charlotte was ever supportive with answering questions, providing options, and keeping us on track leading up to the wedding. I typically have many questions when planning an event and Charlotte was always right there to answer them.
The wedding itself was way beyond our expectations. Charlotte and husband Dave led us to a beautiful private site, took tons of photos and officiated an amazing ceremony. Christina and I will always remember the joy and beauty of our special day in the desert with Charlotte and Larry. -

My husband and I live in SD, we booked Charlotte online for our J Tree wedding after reading a bunch of positive reviews on Yelp.
We only met Charlotte a few mins before our wedding... her calm and reassuring demeanor made me feel like I knew her my whole life.
She made sure to personalize ours vows and made our day extra special with sweet little rituals and gifts.
We opted to hire a photographer but really did not need to. The pictures that Charlotte took of us were our favorites and they are already hanging in our home.
I highly recommend Charlotte, she is professional, organized and all-around just a great person! -

Perfect, and Exceeded all Expectations!
Our morning with Charlotte began just before daybreak. She was prompt, and we both immediately absorbed her demeanor as professional, compassionate, astute, and above all kind and patient. It felt as though in a matter of minutes, we became friends, and it was as though a good friend was officiating our elopement and photographing it. She was patient with us, with our dogs- who mean the world to us, and took great care with her craft. We could not have imagined a more perfect ceremony in Joshua Tree, not kidding when I say she pulled it off without a single hitch. Not only that, she overdelivered, with photographs that elegantly allowed us to share en event our friends and family were precluded from participating in. She was sensitive to exactly how we wanted things to unfold, offered excellent suggestions, and helped us remain calm and enjoy our wedding ceremony and the moment. We recommend to also have a Dinner Rehearsal prior to the wedding because it helps with the flow of the wedding day. We also recommend other services she offers. We did not know about the Vow keeper prior to the first plan date. due to Covid, If only we did, we could've requested all packages from her. She is very personable and helpful in many ways. Everyone commented how nice she is and very professional. Not only she works professionally in what she does, she can also be your friend after your wedding. She has 100 f vows to choose that will suit your vow intention. Also, she would be someone I would keep as a friend and community resource in this area. We didn't have any family members for our elopement ceremony - due Convid-19 and distance - but Charlotte made us feel like home. I felt like my mom was doing our votes. She was so kind to us. She was on time, I highly care about that because late people make me nervous and anxious especially on my big day. Yucca Valley Elopement
Charlotte and Larry were amazing. They were incredibly positive and had enormous amounts of patience with our little dogs as one continuously barked at Larry and the other jumped all over him (sorry Larry!) Somehow, they managed to get some great photos of us with our out-of-control dogs, and then followed us to a location we picked for the ceremony in the desert. They did a wonderful job with the lighting conditions and making sure we were in the best locations to capture the moment. I was also very impressed with their memory and ability to keep us on task for what we wanted to get out of the photo shoot. We had numerous requests, and in the excitement of it my fiance and I naturally forgot about half the stuff we wanted to do, but Charlotte and Larry remembered every single thing after being told only once and got us every pose and moment that we wanted captured (even an awesome champagne bottle pop). The final product was great, and because our family couldn't be there due to the pandemic, they absolutely love the high quality photos. I would highly recommend them, and would use them again for any other occasion that we want documented.

We would give Charlotte all the stars in the world if we could. From the first moment we enquired with Charlotte she put our minds at ease about the entire process. Before we had even confirmed our booking with Charlotte she was providing us with so much help and information.. it's obvious that it is more than just a 'job' to Charlotte - she is a wonderful, lovely person who lives for love and romance! Of course we went ahead and booked Charlotte for our special day, (we couldn't risk her being booked out for anybody else). We eloped from the UK in the Joshua Tree so we were nervous about the arrangements being so far away and we were unclear about the american wedding license process. Charlotte completely put our minds at ease, answered all of our questions thoroughly and efficiently and gave us step by step instructions on what to do with the license process, she went above and beyond. Charlotte has an impressive website filled with tons of information which we found extremely helpful. We also used her wedding ceremony templates and examples to create a ceremony that suited us and felt personal and special. Charlotte was our wedding officiant and was professional and responsive with every communication from beginning to end. Her years of experience served as a steady anchor during our rehearsal and helped calm our nerves. She is very attentive to detail too, making sure we were happy with every choice that was made. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to get married out in the desert. I'm SO thankful we chose her. -

After visiting Joshua Tree together a few years ago, we always said how much we would love to get married there. When we booked another holiday to America for January 2019, we initially joked we could do our wedding vows whilst we were there. After thinking it through a bit more, and speaking to our families, we decided to go ahead with our dream ceremony. Being from the UK we had no idea where to start so we did a quick Google search and contacted various people/companies who were advertising elopement packages. We knew we would need a witness, and that we also wanted some professional photographs taking so when we spotted the Charlotte and Larry officiant and photography package it sounded perfect. From the initial contact Charlotte was responsive, friendly and professional, providing us with all the information we needed. She was very flexible in terms of us designing our ceremony as we wanted it. When we heard about the government shutdown, which meant the park was at risk of closure (and then did actually close!) Charlotte was there updating us, and offering other suggestions if we could not access the park as planned.
On the day, Charlotte and Larry were incredibly welcoming and we immediately felt at ease. We found the spot we loved and had great fun taking some before ceremony photos. I am usually pretty camera shy but I felt totally at ease and enjoyed every minute! The ceremony was perfect, and Charlotte really got the balance between leading the ceremony and stepping back and allowing us to enjoy our incredibly intimate and special moment.
The aftercare was equally as impressive, with Charlotte and Larry having over 200 beautiful edited photos for us to access and share with our loved ones within 24 hours, followed by another 500 pictures a week later! The picture quality is excellent and both Charlotte and Larry had an eye for capturing great shots which really reflect how magical the whole experience was.
All in all, it was an incredible experience from start to finish and we could not recommend Charlotte and Larry highly enough. Sorry it has taken us a little while to write the review! Lots of love from London xxx

Her knowledge of the Joshua Tree area helped us choose an amazing and memorable location for our ceremony. She answered all of my emails and texts promptly and is very professional. We hired her husband to take pictures and Charlotte took some as well. We were very happy with the pictures. Overall Charlotte and Larry facilitated a beautiful day for us and we recommend them very highly.

She's one of the best professionals I've worked with during our wedding, provided excellent client service and was also a great person. She helped us draft our ceremony and as our officiant, performed it perfectly on the day-of. Her website is an amazing resource! It provides an immense amount of useful information and anything you need from wedding planning advice to legalities. We came all the way from Montreal Canada to get married in Joshua Tree, CA and her website proved super useful for all the legal information and technicalities that we needed to be aware of. Charlotte makes things easy, which is a blessing during wedding planning! I would recommend her to anyone looking to get married in the Joshua Tree area and nearby. We decided to elope to Joshua Tree for the beautiful setting and the world-class post-nupital rock climbing, and everything went incredibly smoothly.
Charlotte is an absolute pleasure to work with. She answered all of our questions, accommodated all of our requests, and put us completely at ease.
If you are able, I would 100% recommend doing the additional photography package. Not only did we have a fantastic time taking fun and romantic pictures against the spectacular rocks, but those photos came out great and will last forever. We definitely recommend Charlotte to anyone considering getting married in the Joshua Tree area. -

We had Charlotte officiate our wedding in Palm Springs on 01/06/2018. From the moment we first contacted Charlotte, she was so responsive, helpful, professional, and resourceful. She has a number of examples of wedding ceremonies available on her website, which we used, and which allowed us to create a ceremony that represented us as a couple. We had so many guests compliment how personal, beautiful, and enjoyable our ceremony was! Charlotte was a pleasure to work with, and we are grateful we found her. I can't imagine having a more perfect ceremony! My only regret is that I didn't get to talk to her more the day of, since we both have a connection to the east coast of Canada. :) Thank you Charlotte for everything!
