    Cinderella wedding

The Vineyard was the perfect spot for our wedding. We met with the events coordinator Lynn several times and she was always professional and made me feel relaxed. The day of our wedding everything went smoothly they decorated for us exactly how I wanted it. She coordinated with all our vendors and kept every thing running on time. Parts of the winery are open to the public but I hardly noticed. It did not interupt our ceremony. For cocktail hour there was a singer for my guest to listen to before the DJ started. We can't thank Lynn enough for making wedding planning so stress free and easy. We hope to visit the winery soon!

Although the Vineyard and Brewery at Hershey is a relatively new venue for weddings, we were very pleased! While their partners for our event was the JDK Group (they did amazing!!), the Vineyard was sure to take care of us every step of the way. They were sure to make sure we had enough samples, and they provided an excellent product! Our friends and family raved about the beer and wine selection! The value of this venue was extraordinary !The views from the barn's balcony were absolutely breathtaking, even with the day being rainy. You may even get as lucky as us and get to have a rainbow stretch out over the vines!

The Vineyard at Hershey was our first location when searching for wedding venues. We wanted something that had both an indoor and outdoor space and felt special. Right away we were taken aback by the view on the deck overlooking the vineyard. There is some highway noise but we easily tuned it out. Jason, one of the owners, made our wedding experience so special. He is a generous and easy going guy who truly listens to what you want. The Vineyard works directly with The JDK Group. We met Emma the first time coming to the vineyard and she was very nice. Emma continued to help us focus on the details we wanted while providing wisdom for our big day. We could not imagine getting married at any other place! Plus the beer and wine are fabulous. The owners are PA Preferred as well as focus on being self-sustaining. They started their own garden to incorporate in the beers and wines. Being garden people as well, we commend this. The price is very reasonable. You have the option to use the "barn" (the rooms above the tasting room) to get ready for $400 all day. Depending on the day the ceremony and reception ranged from $1,250-1,750 I believe. Working with JDK is a must but they do a fantastic job and really personalize things to you. We are very, very pleased to be working with just great people for our big day.

The Vineyard at Hershey was a beautiful pick for our fall wedding! Lots of pretty places to take photos throughout the grounds – the vineyards, a pond, wooded areas, farms, etc. Pricing is dependent upon what areas you use (ceremony, reception, “getting ready” room, etc), and was fair compared to other venues in the area. The representatives from VAH were easy to work with and quick to respond to any questions we had. You can use whomever for vendors, with the exception that the main catering & rental company is Weddings by JDK (aka WBJDK; they did an amazing job!).

One thing to be aware of is that the public can still be on the patio & biergarden area until normal closing times, so you should plan your ceremony start time around this (especially on weekends, when they have music playing virtually every night). The only thing that got frustrating was keeping up with changing information/rules at VAH & communication between VAH and WBJDK. When we first booked VAH you could only use their beers & wines, and could not have any outside alcohol (e.g. liquor). But a few months before our wedding, we learned VAH changed that policy to allow liquor if purchased by the couple. In addition, we were initially told we had to shut down the party by 10pm, but were told this changed to 11pm a few months later (after we booked other contracts & budgeted everything else to end at 10pm). Neither of these policies were communicated to us in a very timely or clear manner, so we were unable to take advantage of either of these changes. Hopefully these changes stay implemented & any other changes are communicated better between VAH, WBJDK, and couples in the future.

The vineyard at Hershey is a beautiful location for a wedding! I am so happy we had ours here. They use JDK group for catering, and it makes everything so simple. Takes the stress out of planning!! Everyone is nice and helpful. Their wine and beers are fabulous. Our wedding day was perfect.

    Amazing and flexible venue!

First of all its a beautiful venue with excellent staff! They let us decide exactly what we wanted and weren't forced to use certain vendors! They also helped us set up the day of our wedding! We requested a bartender that we love and he was there for our wedding even making an appearance on the dance floor. They truly made our day special and took alot of the pressure off of us that day! We couldn't have had a better day thanks to them!

The Vineyard and Brewery at Hershey's reply:

We are delighted that you and Jamie chose us! We had the pleasure getting to know you and we know we will see you and your family soon!

We wish you the nothing but the best!

    Do not use this business

My wife and I had our ceremony at The Vineyard and Brewery at Hershey. We had our reception elsewhere so I can only speak to the ceremony part. The value was good and the grounds are beautiful. We originally planned to have the ceremony outside but it rained the day we got married so luckily we were able to have it moved inside the barn. We appreciated their flexibility making this happen. The ceremony turned out great, but I am glad we did not have the reception there. We experienced many issues from the contact person at the vineyard, Lynn Day. She was impossible to get a hold of other than through email. She refused to give us a phone number we could call her on, even on the days leading up to the wedding. My wife was the one who mostly emailed with her, and on multiple occasions, she received rude remarks and attitude from Lynn. For the rehearsal, she said she would meet us for an introduction and to review plans for the wedding day once more, but she never showed up. There was another event going on at the vineyard, so she didn't appear to care about us. She was there the morning of our wedding where I was able to meet her finally for the first time, but she disappeared in the afternoon. I asked her if we could get a sign that says there is an event going on. I had to ask her twice because she ignored my question the first time. Then she says, "I can" like it would be a huge chore for her. Even though we reserved the indoor space for the wedding, she also booked a party at the same time of our wedding, right outside the doors. So when my wife was about to walk down the aisle, there were people setting up and being noisy. Also, Lynn Day also failed to mention that there was a live music event at the same time of our wedding, so that was fun to listen to during the ceremony. We would not recommend getting married here at all, especially if you want to feel like they care about you. We will never be returning to this vineyard to support their business again...and that's coming from us who love wine!
