Beautiful Space

This was the perfect place to have our wedding reception, the venue is gorgeous and the staff is so wonderful to work with! They communicated very well and were always available for my many questions. I highly recommend this place!

They went above and beyond to make sure that my wedding went as planned. They were VERY responsive to all 1,000 of my emails Haha and they were very professional. I would definitely recommend them to everyone!!

Fantastic Experience. Beautiful venue for an excellent price for my daughter's wedding reception. They made sure my daughter had everything the way she wanted it. They were easy and flexible with meeting with us in advance and even let us come back in the AM post wedding to pick up rental items. They worked with us on a great floor plan and provided the support/comfort we needed that all would be taken care of so we could enjoy the ceremony which was in another location. They have a great rapport with all the vendors and made it easy to ensure all was in place and on time. I cannot express enough how grateful and pleased we were with our experience and would recommend to everyone.

My daughter had her wedding reception at The Veridian and they were amazing to work with! Everyone was so kind and helpful the entire time. The venue is beautiful!

I absolutely love working with The Veridian for my wedding! I couldn't ask for a better staff, or venue! The building itself is so beautiful. The staff has been so helpful in helping coordinate details for my wedding and making sure I understand everything.

We had our wedding at the Veridian last weekend, and it was perfect! Courtney and Bethany were so helpful throughout the process, and the event space is beautiful! They provided everything we needed from bartenders, draping, goblets, valets, morning mimosa bar, etc... You can really customize your experience based on your budget and preferences. I highly recommend the Veridian!

The Veridian Events are very easy to work with. I love the venue. I think it is so elegant and gorgeous and spacious. They are very upfront about costs and are very easy to get in touch with via email. They even offered refunds after our numbers went down two weeks before the wedding. They are very flexible and willing to help if you need something extra.

The price for the venue is decent and lower than others in the area. They do charge a 3% rate on any caterers that you use. This is just something to be aware of. They have all of the options and prices laid out. There are no hidden charges.

I saw photos online and figured The Veridian would be out of budget, but I had to at least set an appointment so I wouldn't regret it. They were very quick to respond and set up an appointment for me and my fiancee to look at the venue. After sitting down and talking about price, times, dates, extras... we were hooked! It fit perfectly into our budget and they have so many extras to help make your experience unique to you. I HIGHLY Recommend them!

I was very pleased with this venue. Courtney was very helpful and the staff was amazing! They were very attentive and made sure everything went as planned. Many guests told me it was the best reception they have ever been to!

We just had our daughter's wedding reception here and loved it! It is a beautiful venue. Courtney, the venue coordinator, was easy to work with, flexible and full of a lot of ideas when we had questions. She was on-site the entire event and even offered to help with our cleanup when we were finished. They have a built in sound system, projector for slideshow, LED effect lighting and more... but this is all hidden in a beautifully restored building. Great place!

The Veridian is a beautiful venue! The staff was extremely helpful, responsible, and caring. They made sure our special day was everything we wanted it to be! Courtney Alderton was there for us at all times during the planning process and the day. Couldn't have gone any better!

We held our wedding and reception at The Veridian on August 31, 2013. From the moment of emailing The Veridian to walking out the door on the night of our wedding, the process could not have been smoother. We had one of the larger receptions held here with the ceremony using the same ballroom. The process of flipping the room was so seamless to guests. I highly recommend The Veridian because of several reasons: the professionalism, the creativity, the accessibility, and the beauty of a middle to higher-end urban setting.

Perfect place for our reception. It's elegant but also basic enough that you can easily choose whatever decor you want and it'll work. Megan is great to work with.

Beautiful venue! Great price! And the staff was wonderful! We didn't have to do much decorating because the venue itself is gorgeous!

My wedding was perfect due to the venue and the staff! The space is b-e-a-utiful and requires little work to decorate. Megan took care of everything I ever needed and was able to be reached by phone or email for any and all questions. The outside space was perfect for sunset with the comfort of an inside stress-free reception area. I strongly STRONGLY recommend anyone go and look at the Veridian for the space and staff!!!! Off the charts for everything any bride is looking for!

We couldn't of been more happy with picking The Veridian as our ceremony and reception site! This place is beautiful and has everything you could want. The staff was very helpful and helped my vision of the perfect wedding come true. They were more than accommodating for different requests and truly made this experience the best for my husband and I.

Book this venue as soon as possible! Dates fill up quickly! The space is gorgeous, it's hard to find a contemporary looking space in Springfield. The downstairs was perfect for our Cocktail hour before the Reception. Upstairs is a nice blank canvas. Take advantage of their audio and lights systems, this is where there is added value. (They are an audio/visual company as well.) There's a nice outdoor space upstairs too with fire pits and a lounge area. Megan is a delight to work with and very helpful!

The staff were courteous and efficient. The Veridian staff worked with all of our outside vendors. Our guests had a great time and it was very memorable.

This was a wonderful place to get married. We did the wedding and reception all in this one place and they moved everything around for us in between. They took care of every little detail.

Our only negative feedback is about the extremely limited kitchen/prep space that was available and the fact that there is no refrigeration or cooking access allowed to the party renting the space (only to caterers).
But I have much positive feedback - Megan & staff were very helpful in planning and on-site that day. Having been through two similar events recently at two different venues, I very much appreciate the fact that Megan & staff were on-site, available and dressed in a professional manner that fit our occasion.

When we first booked with the Veridian, it was under different management and they were very hard to contact. Under the new management, however, we received excellent service. They were very easy to work with and were willing to listen to our input.
The building itself is beautiful. The downstairs area is perfect for cocktails and they even have high cocktail tables. The floors and views are amazing. Even though our wedding was in January, we were able to use the back patio because they had set up a few heaters for us.
Another great thing about this venue was that we didn't have to spend a lot of time decorating. The building is beautiful enough on its own. This alone saved us money as did the fact that the chairs didn't need coverings.
I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone, but make sure you book early because it is becoming very popular!

The girls were quick to respond to my questions and easy to work with. They helped me figure out my plans ahead of time and recommended vendors if needed. The venue is very beautiful and the location is perfect!!

This venue was exactly what we were looking for in a city location. They have very competitive pricing compared to other venues in the area. They offer bartending services but not food services which was not a problem since we wanted to cater food anyway. Venue gave us the option to do our ceremony downstairs and reception upstairs without any time in between changing the room but upstairs is so large you can easily have this option. We are very happy with our choice in venue; this location is so beautiful and spacious. Specifically, Cynthia (no longer works there) and Ella took great care of all our questions and the day of. Ella was our day of coordinator and she did an amazing job. I understood that the bartender did not make it in for the reception and Ella was quick to take over and the night went great!

The Veridian is a very affordable place compared to venues like it. We booked on a Friday from 4-11 for $900, but also the night before for 4 hours to set everything up. It was an additional cost of $400, but I think it will be better than booking all day and trying to get everything set up on our wedding day.
My main complaint as of now is there are so many restrictions on decor. You cannot use glitter or confetti. No hanging things from walls or ceilings.
They have very pricy "extras". Such as table linens and if you want them to flip the room for you.
Also, whoever does your catering, you have to send the invoice to the venue so it looks like they are getting the food sales. You end up having to pay a 3% service charge

The Venue is beautiful and we loved that there was a space downstairs for cocktail hour and a separate space upstairs for the reception. The price to rent the linens was a little high but not crazy and there are some extra costs towards the end that we were not expecting (gratuity for bartenders when you decide to host some of the bar tab for guests, rental fee for the lobby bar, and a 3% fee for using an outside caterer) but even with all of those extras we still had a great experience and a perfect wedding. Just make sure you factor in some extra $$ when you go to pay your final bill.

The venue was beautiful. Everything went smoothly on the Veridian's end. The only negative comments would be that the venue was not overly accommodating during the planning process. Sometimes I even felt I was "bothering" them with questions and concerns. There was a young woman who worked with Megan (an assistant possibly?) who was very rude and actually unpleasant to work with. Nonetheless, the venue provided a great experience.

Although the site was VERY beautiful for our ceremony and reception there were a few things that made our experience challenging and frustrating.

1. When you book your event you have the space reserved from midnight to midnight. When it got closer to the wedding we realized we wanted to do a rehearsal at the Veridian the night before around 5pm, but had to wait until 2 weeks before the wedding to confirm the space would be free in case someone else had booked it for the night before the wedding.

2. There are no defined bride and groom suites. Neither had mirrors, so we had to bring them ourselves. Plus they were RIGHT next to each other making it difficult for the groom not to see the bride before the wedding.

3. You have to be TOTALLY out of the venue by midnight, meaning you could not leave tablecloths or decorations to be picked up the next day. Both myself and my husband, the groom, were cleaning up the night of our wedding. :(

Beautiful venue and set up. Not pleased with the staff, especially bartenders. Would recommend the venue itself but would ask to speak with bartenders and staff about specific expectations (professionally) ahead of event date.

The Veridian is a beautiful venue and the base rental price for a Saturday was pretty normal for Springfield. I love the high ceilings and color palette. The stairs are amazingly awesome and beautiful as well. However, to rent the back rooms to get ready (which don't provide any natural light for great for pictures or makeup) is too much in my opinion. Additionally, the cost to open the bar downstairs during a room flip was too much as well. I wanted to get married up stairs against the windows and the event person was reluctant to set it up, my photographer had to accompany us during the rehearsal to convince her it could be done. On the day of the wedding, the event staff did not dress up (my wedding was formal) nor did they greet my guests warmly. I had requested that the lighting be turned down during the dance which was not done, I had to find the event person and make the request myself. I was not happy with the event person but I did love the venue and would chose it again if there was a different contact person.

Let me start off by saying that it is a beautiful venue and I am glad that I chose this place for my wedding and reception. However I had a lot of disappointments from the day I booked up to my wedding day. There were zero mirrors in the bridal suit when I toured the venue. Those were to be my responsiblity. The mens area was actually two rooms, an office area and what is basically a small movie theatre with plenty of leather recliners. Nearly six months after booking I was told that I could no longer use the office area since previous bridal parties had caused damage. The movie theatre area also didn't have mirrors. The Veridian does not cater events and they do not allow you to bring in home made food for your event. You must use an independent caterer and they will tack on another 3% interest without a real explaination as to why. I opted to have my ceremony downstairs with the reception upstairs. They offer draping for $300 for the ceremony site, but this is only offered upstairs. I inquired about having it set up for the downstairs and was told they would have to get back with me on it. Two weeks later I was finally informed that it simply wasn't possible for that to happen. My family had to do the draping the morning of along with all the other set up. You are not allowed to tape or use command hooks to adhere things to the walls at all. And if you want to hang anything up, you must provide your own ladder and they will not store it for you. Linen cost is pretty extreme and they won't negotiate with you at all. When I met with Courtney for my final room layout the month before, she couldn't remember any of my wedding details and backtracked several times about things we had already agreed on. It was very hard to get emails back in a timely manner and made it pretty frustrating during the planning process.

Not even married yet and already having problems with the Venue . We was informed we would have access to the Kitchen and use of the refrigerator and they changed managers so know we don't have access to it and we requested no alcohol at all on the grounds but they informed us they are storing alcohol in the kitchen and one of backroom which we played for ???? I would honestly recommend another location there is cheaper and better in the Springfield Mo area

I just had my wedding at the Veridian and was not happy with how we were treated.. I had an all day rental (8:00 AM - midnight) they took plates from people called my good friend who also catered and owns two restaurants in springfield & told them to pick up the food or it would be thrown away (1 hours after dinner started & they dropped it off) they said my flowers would be thrown away and decorations if they didn't clean them up (this is all at 6:00 PM) my wedding didn't even start until 3:00 PM. They closed the bar an hour and a half early, saying they opened it early... Well they didn't! I was kicked out of my room that I rented, they were very rude. I think that Jessica & her boyfriend need to be FIRED!! They ate my food they basically kicked us out at 7. I was at home by 7pm on my wedding night! Seriously reconsider this venue it's awful! I paid 1300 for 4 hours of actual wedding time which is unheard of and I completely regret having this place as my venue for my wedding & reception!
