The Tides was an amazing venue. Everything was perfect. The food was great and the staff was extremely professional and helpful. We would highly recommend them!

All of the staff at The Tides were wonderful to work with from start to finish. The venue has been renovated recently, and the outdoor deck overlooking the beach is breathtaking with travertine tile floors and white benches for guests, and gorgeous Atlantic ocean views: our wedding was absolutely stunning. Direct beach access is not available behind the venue, but at the other end of the parking lot there is a boardwalk down to the beach.

Packages were available for DIY weddings, all-inclusive with bar, food, and florist along with some other options for couples who are in between. We chose the AI and were not disappointed. Everyone raved about the appetizers and dinner, and our bartender Teresa took special care of us throughout the night (and again in the morning at a smaller brunch with family). Fred was on top of having everything positioned as it needed to be, and the Chef took care of my niece with severe food allergies, so she was able to have a fantastic time as well. Amanda runs the catering department and is who we spent a lot of time with either in person, email or on the phone leading up to our event and she made sure we had everything we needed. She even snapped a few pictures while I was waiting with my dad to walk down the aisle.

The bridal suite is beautiful and gave me plenty of space to get ready with close friends and family, and the groom had a special separate room as well. There are a few different locations within the venue for ceremony and/or reception -- we were in the large ballroom that can easily accommodate 200 people. Prices were super competitive with other venues we looked at (if not cheaper!) but you either need a sponsor (who is a member, veteran, or active-duty military) or to be active duty/veteran status yourself.

We have joked that we would love to have the celebration again and again every Saturday (if there were no financial implications!) -- our wedding will be remembered and cherished forever, and The Tides was perfect in every way for our special night.

Everything about this place is top notch and wonderful. We had our wedding here in March 2020 and could not have made a better choice! Nicky, Amanda, Frank and the rest of the staff were all so fantastic to work with and made the whole experience that much more enjoyable. The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, the view was beautiful, the venue was ideal, and the guests all loved it!!! Thank you all again for making our wedding day so great!!!

This was the perfect place for our wedding. The food was absolutely amazing and everyone was so accommodating. Many of our guests said that it was the best wedding they had ever been to.

The food was excellent, everyone commented on how good it was they give you a lot of options we chose the buffet style and it turned out really good.

When we were searching for a good beachfront venue for our wedding, we checked out some nearby hotels along with The Tides. The Tides had hands down the nicest ceremony setting, with shaded seating for the guests, and direct beach access from the deck.

The food was very good, not 5 star but definitely worth the cost and worthy of a good party. The only downside was that there was no opportunity for us to do a tasting before we chose our menu. However, it turned out just fine and the prices (compared to the hotels we looked at) were IMMENSELY better. The waitstaff were excellent also.

Just a heads up to anyone considering this venue, it is a military establishment so you'll need someone either active or retired military to buy a membership and sponsor you if you want to have your event here. We had the grooms father handle the membership and it didn't take much effort or cost.

The Tides was a wonderful place to hold our wedding. We started with one team of people who ended up leaving halfway through (scary!) and finished the planning with another team. In the end, Joe and Tara were wonderful to work with in catching all the missing details and really helped our ceremony and reception run smoothly. The venue was clean and the setting was beautiful.

So affordable and a great location! We got a ton of compliments and everyone loved the food! Great for small and large weddings.. we fit 200 people comfortably! It was the perfect place for our beach themed wedding.

My food was great and the room looked amazing. I often had problems getting a hold of people for scheduling. The outside deck was already set up when I arrived which was great!

The Tides is a great place to get married. It has a great view of the ocean and is the best value hands down. I did a bunch of the decor myself and it was tough the place needs a facelift, but my work paid off and I had a beautiful wedding!

Becky at the Tides was great! She has been amazing throughout the whole process. Helped provide decorations, gave us a list of recommended DJ's, photographers, and florists. They are really the whole package. My uncle is in the military and we were able to get the day we wanted with no problems. Plus the catering is included in the price of the room. The food was delicious.

I had a wonderful experience having our wedding at The Tides. My husband and I live in Orlando and we were looking for a different place on the beach to get married. He surfs in the 2nd Light area and when I found out The Tides existed and saw their beautiful outdoor ceremony area, I knew we had to have our wedding there. The only issue we had upon booking the venue was finding a friend who was in the military to sponsor us. Other than that, we didn't hit any snags and had a wonderful experience.

Throughout our engagement I kept in close touch with Becky. She answered any questions I had (which were a lot!), and responded via email very promptly. I visited the venue a handful of times before the wedding the staff never seemed to mind. I really have a lot of positive things to say about the venue and would highly recommend anyone who has a beach wedding in mind, to have their ceremony and reception there. The staff was very accomodating. Something nice I had never seen at a wedding was the catering staff brought me and my husband our plates of food -- a little bit of everything from the buffet and drinks for us so we could just sit and enjoy our food. The night flowed seamlessly (also due to the fact I hired a day of coordinator which helped me tremendously).

Some negatives:

- There really is no area for a stage. Our band just set up on the floor but it worked out fine. I wish we could have had a stage, but it really wasn't much of an issue. The band still sounded great.

- There aren't many good hair/make up places around the area. I did a lot of research and the places I looked into were just too far or expensive. I had some girls I knew travel from Orlando to me and my girls' hair and makeup. It worked out wonderfully that way.

- The venue is very outdated. The roof, lighting fixtures and some wall fixtures (awning, silk flower arrangements in the ballroom), vertical blinds, carpeting, etc. The venue desperately needs a facelift. I think they would get a lot more business if they made some small, yet impactful changes. I was very creative choosing my decor and having our photographer not take photos of the ceiling, etc. I also had uplighting around the room and had the lights dim. I think if you're creative with your decor and have a planner or day of coordinator help you, you shouldn't have any issues.

We highly recommend you use The Tides as your wedding venue or party! They were a pleasure to work with and we were so happy with how our wedding turned out. All of our guests made a drive out to our wedding, but loved the venue and the ceremony blew our guests away. The view and atmosphere was out of this world! I recommend you have a steel drummer on the north end of the deck for pre-ceremony music and for the cocktail hour. Our guests really enjoyed that! :)

I was stationed at Patrick a few years ago, so I had seen the Tides on many occasions. The staff made it look amazing for our reception, and the food (brunch buffet) was good, as was the service. The only issue we had was the difficulty in reaching the catering staff in the weeks before the wedding. The staff had changed since we booked the venue, and I had to keep calling and e-mailing in order to get the final details arranged. I'm still not entirely sure what I paid for, since there were features there during the wedding that I didn't select. However, the day itself ended up being beautiful and the guests were all happy with the food and atmosphere. I recommend the venue, but you have to be proactive in the planning process.

The location was absolutely beautiful. The food was amazing and the staff was extremely helpful during the reception. As for the planning, the wedding consultant was new and clearly did not know what she was doing. She was not helpful and things did not go smoothly due to lack of communication. If you decide to use this venue, make sure you have a list of things you would like to go over with the consultant if you would like to cover anything other than the basic information. Also, get EVERYTHING listed in the contract.

Please if you are thinking of a wedding go somewhere else. The ceremony was fine on the deck but the trouble started at the dinner. The wedding party was only 14. We waited 30 mins before anyone approached the table, drinks took another 30. The service was so bad my mother almost cried. The food took over two hour for rare steaks and fish all were burnt and dry. But by the time the food came out 8 of our guest and family had to leave. My bride and I had to deliver the food to the families this crap food because they had not eaten yet. Sad at $20 plus for each dish plus a cook yelling and cruising in the kitchen for us all to hear. The wedding cake was brought out and just put on a open table behind our with no table cloth. I had to go to a find one so we could take cake pictures. At the end of all of this the manager eat the bill but please don't put your special day in the hands of this joke of a restaurant. It is truly sad they might represent the Air Force that might have a wedding there.
In the end we ended up at my mother's for cake pictures and subs.
