Absolutely Wonderful!

This is such a unique venue in downtown KC because of the rooftop terrace, central location, affordability and event coordinators. We did an extensive search and none of the other downtown venues compared. The rooftop terrace and indoor reception space allows you to have the entire event in one location. The venue is in a great part of downtown, within walking distance to hotels, bars and restaurants which was nice for our out-of-town guests. Heather and Kelsi are FABULOUS, very organized and make you feel like family. They coordinated delivery/set-up with my vendors and kept me on track during my wedding day which eliminated the need for a day-of-coordinator. They are able to provide a lot of complimentary decor which allows you to cut costs. The catering is in-house and is absolutely delicious! Their pricing is also very reasonable compared to other downtown venues. We are SO happy we had our wedding at Terrace and will recommend them over and over again!

Incredibly supportive staff

For starters, Kelsi & Hannah were absolutely incredible to work with from start to finish. They helped us every step of the way on planning and made the stressful process of planning a wedding so much easier for us. Then on the actual wedding day, they went above and beyond for us. We were having a rooftop ceremony and it started downpouring right before our scheduled ceremony. Instead of making us move the ceremony inside, they saw that we could wait 30-45 minutes for a break in the rain and opened up the bar early so our guests could have drinks and mingle while we waited out the rain. They didn't have to do any of this but it ended up making the day that much more special for us. We can't thank them enough for making our wedding the best day of our lives!

Simply Amazing!

Emad and Heather were extremely helpful, accommodating, and over all pleasant to work with! It was so convenient that they were there as coordinators as well to help our day go smoothly. Any small problem that we had, they were able to come up with a solution. It was also so nice that they several rooms full of decor left from previous brides that were able to use — ranging anywhere from plate chargers to a gorgeous flower wall. The venue itself was also perfect (and better than our last venue that ended up closing 4 months before our date). Everything from the food to the views was top notch for such a great price. I definitely recommend booking the terrace on grand!

Nothing compares to The Terrace!!

Being in the industry myself as a professional Makeup Artist I know very well the importance of hiring professionals for the big day! Everything went perfect under the supervision of Emad and Heather. If something didn't go as planned they made sure I wasn't informed and stressed out. This is what professionals do!! Neither the bride or the groom have to worry about anything during their big day. Emad and his staff were absolutely professionals, they took care of EVERYTHING, including providing us a timeline for the event, helping the other vendors to run everything smoothly, giving directions to the guests, and so on. I also have to say that Emad has a great sense of beauty and he is very well organized. Nothing is left to chance when it comes to The Terrace on Grand!! The view from the rooftop is amazing, the main room is so elegant and classy, yet modern. I don't think there's any other location in the area like this one. Yes, it's on the pricey side but considering the service provided, from coordinating the event, to the food, the open bar, the linens, and much more, was worth every penny! I would love to get married here again!!! lol

Effortless Wedding Day due to Flawless Service, Attention to Detail, and Caring Staff

The staff at the Terrace on Grand are second to none. Heather and Emad made wedding planning so easy. Heather especially made sure our wedding day ran SO smoothly, my husband and I never had to lift a finger or deal with any difficulties. The venue is gorgeous and unique, and that rooftop is to die for!! They were so professional and attentive, we could not have asked for a better experience. The food is great too, and the price is an incredible value for everything that you get and the customer service you receive. We would recommend Terrace on Grand to anyone!

Magica day at Terrace on Grand w/ Emad!

Terrace on Grand is an intimate and beautiful place, surpassed only by the amazing staff.

Emad and Heather (and the TOG team)night felt like pure magic, all because of your attention to making sure we were stress-free on the most important day of our lives. From helping set up the flowers, to setting up the table in honor of my parents, to Chris remembering the groom didn’t like onions and bringing out a separate salad, they TOG team truly took the time to listen and make such a surreal experience.

Emad and Heather thank you for prioritizing human connection above all else, you are thoughtful, kind and a joy to work with!!Thank you for being patient, clear, accommodating and making our dreams come true!!

The Terrace on Grand is Top Notch! Our wedding/reception was absolutely amazing. Not only is this venue turnkey with it's elegant ballroom, it's rooftop views showcase downtown Kansas City. The staff was impeccable and I cannot say enough about Emad and Maggie. They both were so helpful throughout the entire process. They nailed it. They thought of every detail and always shared ideas. Our guests are still talking about how good the food was and how they loved the ambiance of The Terrace on Grand. I highly recommend this venue to anyone for any event. Perfection

I don't even know where to begin....everything about the Terrace on Grand was AMAZING!! Literally from the time we initially toured the facility until after our wedding, Maggie and Emad were wonderful. They went above and beyond to make sure no detail was left out. They completely eliminated any need for a wedding planner. We had our ceremony on the rooftop and our reception inside. The view of the city from the rooftop is awesome and was a great setting to be able to show off KC to all of our out of town guests that had never visited before. The inside is beautiful as well and was just the look we were going for! They even had a room full of decorations available to use at no additional charge, which was awesome. The food was fabulous and the service during the reception was top notch. Maggie and Emad made the entire process a breeze and made me feel 100% at ease on the day of our wedding. There was nothing they didn't think of. They truly go out of their way to make sure that everything runs smoothly (and on time)! I highly recommend Terrace on Grand to anyone getting married or hosting any other event! I am so glad we chose Terrace on Grand for our wedding and loved working with these two!

Booking Terrace on Grand was hands down the BEST wedding decision we made! Words can never express how perfect, worry-free, and a dream come true our wedding day was. Not only did we LOVE our day at Terrace on Grand, but our guests have been raving about their experience as well. While on our honeymoon, we had many guests send us messages about the different aspects that they loved about our wedding (all thanks to Terrace on Grand) -- whether that was the view, the food, or how smoothly the evening ran. Emad and Maggie took excellent care of us which ensured that we had the most time to celebrate with our guests. Additionally, the food was absolutely delicious — Chris is an awesome chef! As for that spectacular rooftop view, along with their first-class staff, there is no other venue downtown that compares. We are so incredibly grateful for Terrace on Grand (Emad, Maggie, & staff) for how perfect and problem-free our ceremony and reception was. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!

Book. This. Venue! My fiancé and I looked at about 8 other venues and this was, hands down, the absolute best value for our urban wedding.

The space- we had our ceremony on the rooftop terrace and that space just can’t be beat: beautiful wood floor, white fence with greenery, turf for grassy space, and an unbeatable view. Our reception was on their third floor and it’s so unique, beautifully detailed, spacious, and timeless. The lighting is beautiful and romantic. On the second floor, they have a full bridal suite with plenty of mirrors, outlets, and bathroom space. The entry hallway is beautiful and so fun and easy to decorate however you want.

THE STAFF- I would book this venue just for the staff a million times again. Maggie is so sweet and so attentive and very detail oriented. So helpful the whole time! Emad. Is. The. Best. I cannot say enough good things about how supportive, helpful, and fun he was throughout the entire planning process. He does it all. He was so easy to get ahold of and very responsive with any planning questions we had. He helped coordinate our menu and every single detail of our ceremony and reception to create the perfect day. He’s the best wedding coordinator I could ever imagine- very thoughtful, very precise, and so, so kind. He even stands guard and deters visitors while you eat at the reception because he insists that newlyweds eat at their own wedding. Brilliant. He tends to every single detail throughout the event to make sure you’re doing alright, things flow smoothly, and you have the perfect day. He doesn’t miss a beat. Cannot say enough how wonderful he is.

The extras- with this venue, you get the ceremony space, reception space, a bridal suite, an open bar, catering, and event staff all in one. It simply can’t be beat. Book while you can!

Terrace On grand was an excellent choice for our daughter's wedding. Emad, Maggie and their entire staff bent over backwards to make this an incredible rooftop wedding ceremony and reception inside. Emad literally walks you through every step of the way to make sure everything is perfect. The ceremony was beautiful. The reception was fun. The food was terrific. The staff was efficient. The facility was beautiful. We cannot thank you all enough for creating an absolutely perfect wedding day for our daughter and son-in-law. As FOTB I can honestly say that it was worth every penny!

LOOK NO FURTHER! We couldn't have chosen a better venue for our wedding! Emad, Maggie, Heather and the rest of their staff was beyond helpful at making our day the most magical day ever. From day one the communication was amazing. Every e-mail or call was responded to right away. I planned my wedding from over 500 miles away and Emad and Maggie did a great job answering any questions I had as well as making suggestions about things I would have never thought of. I appreciated the convenience of having the food, bar, linens, tables, chairs among other add-ons all included. It made my life so much easier. I felt that Terrace on Grand was a great value, the venue itself is stunning with one of the most spectacular 360 degree views of downtown. My guests are still talking about how lovely it all was. These people know how to put on a wedding...the day moved along seamlessly all thanks to Emad and his staff. That man is a wedding rockstar...he even helped my mother and bridesmaids bustle my dress after the ceremony. If you want a low-stress venue in a great location that is sure to impress your friends and family, choose Terrace on Grand! My day was everything I'd hoped it would be.

The Terrace on Grand is a wonderful venue and we are extremely happy that we chose to get married and celebrate at such a beautiful space. Not only are the rooftop and venue amazing, the support you will get from Maggie and Emad is remarkable. Starting with our first venue walk-through, the food tasting, and the countless emails back and forth leading up to the big day, they accommodated everything we asked of them. Once the weekend arrived, we got lucky with the weather, but everything else from the rehearsal walk-through, to the ceremony and reception went so well because of the effort Maggie and Emad put in to ensure it would! The food was amazing, we particularly enjoyed our Mac N Cheese bar. The staff was excellent and friendly and we've heard from countless guest that this was the most smoothly run and the best wedding they've ever been to and we have to agree!

Terrace on Grand is by far the best wedding venue in KC! With rooftop views, stellar staff, a beautiful reception area, and the most experienced coordinators, Terrace on Grand provided everything we wanted and more on our big day. Maggie and Emad were so committed to making our day perfect and didn’t miss a beat when it came to making sure it went smoothly. From getting ready to the ceremony to the last dance, either Maggie or Emad were there to make sure everything and everyone was right where they should be. They responded to emails and questions in a timely manner, and went over every detail with us – even things I never thought about. We used them for our catering as well, and their food is fantastic! We did have a hiccup with parking (guests received tickets even when they were parked in the correct space), but the venue collected the tickets and took care of it with the city! We received so many comments about how fun our wedding, and I think a large part of that was because of the venue and their fantastic service!

Everything was perfect! Emad & Maggie were so great to work with, and super accessible both before the wedding, and the day of. I felt like I didn't even have to lift a finger to make sure everything went off without a hitch. I appreciated that everything was taken care of on-site, which made everything so easy and stress-free on my end. The food was incredible, drinks were perfect, the atmosphere was (as always) romantic & fun. They even helped us make sure we were able to have the KU game on during the reception.

We have zero complaints, and highly recommend this venue to anyone for any event. Worth every penny. <3

My daughter's late October wedding was everything she wanted it to be; Emad, Maggie, and all their staff pulled off this event flawlessly. The food was superb, the wait staff was so professional and the timing perfect. When the staff working behind the scenes can make so much happen so unobtrusively you know you picked the right venue! The decor was stunning, the table settings elegant and the rooftop at sunset sublime. Every time I run into friends or family that were lucky enough to attend they exclaim over how much fun they had and how impressed they were with the ambiance of this venue. The little details I would have botched or forgotten entirely were taken care of as part of our package. It was perfect. Thank you, Emad and Maggie!

The Terrace on Grand was the perfect venue for our wedding reception. The event space is gorgeous and there was plenty of room for all 175 of our guests. The views of the city from the rooftop are spectacular. The food tasted great and the bar service was on point all night. The price was very reasonable and was exactly what was promised up front. What really sets the Terrace on Grand apart, however, is the personal service. Emad and Maggie went above and beyond in seeing to everything going perfectly. They took so much pressure and stress off us as we prepared for the night and worked so hard at making sure the evening ran smoothly that we cannot thank them enough. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

This place is incredible. They really exceeded all of our expectations. Emad and Maggie were so accommodating to everything that we wanted to accomplish. We wanted a fun and slightly non-traditional wedding and they made sure everything was perfect.

Emad led our rehearsal and wow, everyone in our families and the wedding party kept talking about how organized and on top of it he was. He did such a great job making sure the
ceremony was going to be flawless for us and exactly what we wanted. And decorations, they have this awesome inventory in the basement all at your disposal. We had our ceremony on the rooftop, a short social hour between the ceremony and the reception downstairs and then we made our grand entrance. Passed appetizers were amazing and our guests raved about the mac and cheese bar (we didn’t do a traditional buffet or sit down dinner). As for the bar, they were awesome at tracking down all of the local wine that we wanted at the wedding and they were accommodating to a couple specific liquor requests we wanted. They even accommodated us having an ice luge that they poured blue margaritas down!

Everything was completely organized, down to Emad walking our officiant (my cousin) through how to fill our the marriage license, to literally guarding our sweetheart table after our grand entrance to make sure we ate! They even gave us a to-go box of food.

Seriously, Emad & Maggie were incredible. If you’re hesitating for a second booking this place, just book it already!!

Choosing the right venue for my wedding was the most critical piece of why I had the best day of my life. Emad and Maggie had every detail planned out seamlessly. Everyone at my wedding was SO impressed with how well Emad coordinated the evening and how beautiful everything was. Having the ceremony and reception at the same location took the hassle of driving from our guests, letting them relax all evening. They took all stress off of the day and even helped me to dodge a huge last minute vendor issue so that I did not have to worry. I recommend TOG as the best wedding venue BY FAR in Kansas City after talking to and interacting with other venues. They did not come close to the professionalism of TOG. Our friends and family will always remember how perfect our night was due to choosing TOG! Thank you Emad and Maggie!

On July 30, 2017 The Terrace On Grand hosted the most perfect wedding and reception for my daughter. The weather was a lovely 84 degrees with a light breeze for a rooftop wedding ceremony and then we moved inside for dinner, dancing and a celebration that we wished would never end. The guests loved the charm of the venue, and felt they'd entered a fairy tale. A few guests told me they never wanted to leave. The food was delicious and schedule kept the celebration exciting from beginning to end! Every detail we planned or requested was honored. From planning and prepping to the day of the wedding, Emad and his staff were professional, thoughtful, and genuinely caring. One of the guests said she had never experienced such a perfect and special wedding as this. Another said she had never danced at weddings before but this one was so special that she didn't want to stop dancing. The details of parking, having supportive chairs for older guests, decorating the hallway to the elevator to create a feeling that guests were truly entering a very special celebration were all made easy for us as The Terrace On Grand took care of it all! Indeed as we waved our bride and groom through a tunnel of ribbon wands into their happily ever after, I was a little sad it was over. It was a day we will never forget. We are so grateful to have found this gem for our daughter's special day!

I just had my magical night here on July 15th. I feel like I have never felt before! I had no worries and the planning from Emad and Maggie were amazing! The venue was so perfect! Rooftop wedding overlooking Kansas City and the reception indoors! The food was so good! Chef Chris amazed our guests and our expectations! Terrace on Grand is a beautiful venue, but its not all about the decor of look of a venue that makes a wedding venue excellent, its about the staff! The staff at TOG is amazing, Emad and Maggie were fantastic about communicating with me (the bride) and helping me coordinate my wedding day. Then day of they were extremely calm and organized.

I couldn't have asked for anything different on our wedding day, as everything went as planned. Only a few minor hick-ups but it was a wonderful day, with an amazing venue and incredible staff!

I would DEFINITELY recommend this venue for your wedding day or event!

We are so grateful we could have our wedding at Terrace on Grand. What drew us to the venue initially was the awesome view of downtown and the beautiful 3rd floor loft space. We learned throughout the process that we had hit the truly jackpot with Maggie and Emad. They are like built-in wedding planners, but even better because they know the space so well and can predict where any issues might arise. We had our ceremony on the roof and our reception on the 3rd floor, and both went very smoothly. We felt so confident with them running the show, and we were able to relax and truly enjoy our day. We couldn’t recommend this venue highly enough- it was a perfect evening.

Choosing Tearrace on Grand for our wedding venue was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding. Maggie, Emad and Joanna godsends and so great at what they do. The venue was beautiful yes but their service was better. Every single detail was walked through and accounted for, things I didnt even know needed to happen or be done were being done by these true professionals. I cannot imagine how people get married without the logistical talent of people like these. If I was worried about anything before hand this team would go out of their way to take care of any possible problem, they dealt with other vendors so I didnt have to, they were flexible and accommodating and just overall great people to be around on your wedding day. we had so many compliments on the food that was served (it was amazing) and the venue was so easy to transform into our vision of romantic mixed with glam. I felt no stress on my wedding day and I contribute that all to Maggie, Emad and Joanna.

This venue and their staff were the most amazing hosts for our wedding reception! The meetings we had leading up to the event were organized and detailed, which made us trust them immediately with our big day. Maggie was amazing to work with - we felt so taken care of during all of the planning and especially on our big night. Everything we asked for at the venue was perfect and flowed so well. When the wedding party came up the elevator to rest before our big reveal Emad and Maggie were waiting for us with our favorite beverage and a room full of appetizers for everyone! Every time we needed something and would look to ask, they were already reading our mind and taking care of it. Besides being well taken care of, the food from this venue was amazing! Our guests could not stop talking about how delicious the food was and how smoothly the waiters brought everything out. There was never a wait at the bar and they pre-poured the champagne glasses for our New Years Eve cheer so that there wouldn't be a line. I cannot thank Terrace on Grand enough for making our night flawless! You should definitely book them for your event - they have it all!

I don't even know where to start with how amazing this venue is. It had the exact look I wanted and a gorgeous rooftop deck, but that's not even the best part. The best part is the STAFF. Emad is the event coordinator, and he is amazing. Truly one of the best, most helpful people on this planet. He was super patient with us and gave us multiple tours and walk-throughs so we could make sure we were prepared for every last detail. He has great suggestions for both decor and logistics and he honestly has thought of everything. The chef is also incredible. I wanted a traditional Persian dish for the dinner and he did an amazing job -- people still talk about how good the food was. The pricing was super easy since everything is included in the per-person cost. Oh, did I mention that Emad and his staff took care of everything? From the cake-cutting, to the coordination, to the set-up and clean up... I mean, come on! They did everything! They also have a ton of decor items in the basement that people have left behind that you are free to use in your own centerpieces and such. In summary: BOOK THIS VENUE. Don't bother with a planner. Listen to everything Emad says. He is a superhero. I don't know what I would've done without him!

My husband and I chose the Terrace on Grand for both our wedding and reception venue and it was hands down the best decision we made. Their contemporary ballroom was perfect for our ceremony, and their rooftop provided a beautiful backdrop of our own KC skyline. We wanted our wedding small, intimate, and non-traditional, and our plan was fully supported by Emad and Maggie, the staff at Terrace on Grand. Their advice during planning was invaluable, and their presence on our wedding day allowed us to focus on just being the bride and groom. From the big things, like making sure we started the wedding on time, to something as simple as bringing me a glass of water after a couple hours of pictures, Emad and Maggie amazed us with their attention to detail and thoughtfulness. They WANT you to have the best day of your life and they try really hard to make that happen.
We also chose to use their in-house catering, which worked out beautifully. The presentation was lovely and the wait-staff added an additional element of "fancy." For real, we felt like James Bond grabbing hors d'oeuvres from servers' trays. And on top of the great presentation, the food was delicious. It's now 4 weeks after our wedding and our friends are still talking about the blue-cheese potatoes...YUM!
We are so grateful for our experience with Emad, Maggie, and all the other folks at the Terrace on Grand. We wanted our wedding to be amazing, and they helped us have a day so wonderful, a day we’ll never forget!

Looking for the perfect place? Terrace On Grand IS the perfect answer. Why? They listen to your dream. They hear you. They understand. They 'bring--it!' We had our daughters wedding reception here. Smooth from menu sampling, all the way to the fantastic sparkler send-off. Everything was done with joy and precision. Terrace on Grand took care of everything. All we did was enjoy this beautiful night. TOG made that happen. The reception planning was easy, because TOG know what they are doing and listen to your dream wishes. TOG understand details. This is important. Not having to worry about anything was beyond wonderful. Emad took care of every wish and helped them come true. The reception began at 5:00 on the roof with cocktails and a fantastic view of Kansas City. What a beautiful evening. Dinner was so delicious! We love Emad and you will too, I promise. He knows his business. He even stood behind our daughter and her new husband while they ate dinner because he understood the importance of them eating a meal after such a busy day. The florist did not deliver the flowers for the cake but when we arrived, flowers were on her cake that TOG found. Can you imagaine, that was so sweet of them. TOG provided memories we always hold and cherish. Thank you Terrace on Grand.

It all started while looking at venues on The Knot. Terrace on Grand attracted my eye due to the beautiful views and the wonderful reviews it had. I did further research on this venue and it had an "information packet" online where I could review every single charge and knew what I was getting myself into before using any of my time looking at a venue I wasn't able to afford. This venue was the first and last venue we ever looked at. The all inclusive caught our eye, the wedding coordinators and organizers caught our eye, the prompt responses and professionalism caught our eye. Throughout the year and half planning my wedding, I never once felt like I was ignored by Emad or Maggie. They answered every email, call, question, or concern I had and nailed it every time. The first look at venue was amazing, the dinner tasting was amazing, the rehearsal time and ample amount of time for it all was amazing. I loved that Terrace on Grand was a one stop shop. You have your rehearsal there, all the girls can get ready early there, the wedding ceremony was and reception was there. They worked with me on my budget and helped get cost downs with leaving some extras behind. My actual wedding day was such a breeze. Maggie let us in early to start our hair and make up, they were so detailed oriented by getting our sand ceremony and cake set up. I didn't have to worry about lighting all the candles on the tables, and they decorated the bar so beautifully. Emad and Maggie coordinated the ceremony and reception so elegantly. They let us come back for our stuff after the sparkler send off and the following morning even though there was a wedding the next day. Without Terrace on Grand I would have felt a lot more stress on my day. I would recommend this venue in a heart beat and I would say they are worth every single penny. I would advise anyone in Kansas City looking for a gorgeous venue and absolutely wonderful wedding to book this space. There are not enough good words for me to say about Emad and Maggie. They answered all of my questions. They made great suggestions and my wedding went off without a hitch. I kept waiting for the inevitable "bad thing out of my control" to happen and I am pleased to say I don't think it ever did. I had a truly magnificent day!

Terrace On Grand is a fantastic wedding venue! Leading up to the wedding, Emad and Maggie were extremely helpful with advice and suggestions for vendors and catering choices and also completely transparent when it came down to cost. During setup, they were very flexible when it came to our use of the space and Terrace’s materials. For example, we used glassware owned by Terrace for our ceremony candles and Emad had a wonderful idea of moving the candles to the windowsills for the reception. The look was perfect! He also ran an extremely efficient rehearsal! We were in and out with rehearsal and the setup for the wedding in a matter of 45 minutes! The staff went above and beyond to make our wedding day special and even yesterday we were still receiving compliments about how delicious the food was! We highly recommend this venue.

Seriously, I don't even know where to begin in trying to thank Emad, Maggie and the rest of their team! I know I can also speak for my husband and my family when I say that our wedding day was the BEST day ever in every way and a major reason for that was because we made the decision to have our wedding and reception at TTOG! From the very first time we met Emad, he truly made us feel like OUR wedding was the only event he was planning and that it was just as important to him as it was to us. It has almost been two months since the wedding and I have been waiting to post a review because honestly, whatever I try to say on here can't do justice and I can't even begin to thank them enough for everything! We started working with Emad about 14 months before our big day and the entire planning process was so fun and so unbelievably thorough! We had a plan A, B, C, etc for everything and that gave me such a comfort and peace of mind since plan A for the ceremony was to have it on the roof (with unpredictable KC weather)! We really wanted to plan our wedding to fit us as a couple and we definitely didn’t stick to the traditional “flow”, which I was concerned might be tough. We had our wedding on a Friday at 6:30pm and then had a cocktail style reception inside immediately after with heavy hors devours and dancing. Emad totally locked in our what we were trying to do and it was even better than we could have imagined! Even small details as to how the room was set up to create a certain flow, with the placement of the band to the high top tables and the ratio of high tops to normal tables…I could go on but all those small details were EVERYTHING.

Just trust me when I say, if you book at The Terrace on Grand, it is the best decision you will make during the entire wedding planning process (aside from saying yes to your future spouse!!) Thank you guys SO MUCH and I hope you know that Robb and I are forever grateful!!

We couldn't be more pleased. Awesome venue. We just hosted our daughter's wedding at The Terrace on Grand. It was truly remarkable. The event planner, Maggie, helped us with all the details making terrific recommendations, preparing the space exactly as we had wished, and giving us expert advice on the many decisions that needed to be made. The night of the wedding, Emad coordinated the entire evening which went off without a hitch. All of our guests have commented about the beauty of the venue and how delicious the food was. It was an intimate and cozy atmosphere with just the right amount of class! Our family members said we set the bar high. The rooftop made a beautiful setting for family pictures and sunset pics for the bride and groom. We cannot recommend Terrace on Grand enough. Bravo!!!

My Husband and I knew from the moment we started planning that we wanted to get married in downtown Kansas City. The Terrace on Grand was the first venue we looked at and the last. We instantly fell in love with the romantic vibe The Terrace on Grand gave off and not to mention the knock out view from the roof top. We set a date and from there Emad and Maggie made our dreams come true. The day of our wedding was to be a hot one with little to no chance of rain so i had no worries for our roof top wedding. The ceremony was set to start at 5:30, little did we know mother nature had other plans. 5:20 Emad calmly sat me down and informed us that due to the rain Plan B would have to be played out. I was completely confident in the fact that even though we wouldn't be on the roof top our ceremony, it would still be stunning. Emad and Maggie in the little time they had turned our reception floor into the most romantic, intimate, and beautiful alter for our ceremony. Our wedding day went on as if nothing had even happened and I could not thank them enough. Emad and Maggie are the most amazing people to work with and will literally cater to your every need. Our wedding would not have been what it was without them! Also want to point out that the food was absolutely mouth watering! If I could relive our day all over again, I wouldn't change a thing! The Terrace on Grand was the absolute best venue! Emad and Maggie (as well as the other staff members who worked our wedding night) were nothing short of amazing. They assured everything was perfect and exactly what we wanted for our big day. There was an event the evening before, so I was unable to decorate myself. I brought in all of my decorations and notes were taken of exactly how I wanted things set up. When we showed up for pictures (just a few hours prior to ceremony time) everything was being done exactly how I had described it and pictured it. I made a mistake on one of my signs (said my grandparents were my parents) and Maggie was able to fix it in a short amount of time before guests arrived (not many people care to fix other people's mistakes!). I felt as if every person there went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was exactly what we had imagined and perfect! Emad did a wonderful job setting up drop off/pick up times with my other vendors, which was a huge relief!
Any concern or question I had was answered within a day, sometimes immediately.
Aside from the amazing service, the venu is absolutely gorgeous. We had our ceremony and reception there with a rooftop cocktail hour in between as the room was being flipped. I can't say enough good things about this place and the people!! Very pleased!

When planning mine and my husband’s wedding, little did I know that by choosing The Terrace on Grand as the ceremony and reception venue, I would be making one of the best decisions for our wedding day. Emad and Maggie were so helpful throughout the whole process, but it wasn’t until the day of that I truly realized how amazing they are! Emad was so incredibly organized and on top of everything, that I didn’t have to worry about how anything was being done or if everything was running smoothly because he was on it. The staff and catering were amazing also. Everyone was raving about the whole experience. Terrace on Grand is a beautiful venue with awesome views, but the best part about it for me was the staff. Emad and Maggie catered to my every want and went above and beyond to make sure the day went perfect!! I had a Friday wedding, and Emad let us get in their on Wednesday to start doing some special decor we had planned. He also worked with us on price, creating a special package within our budget and had a good back up plan in case it rained during cocktail hour and guests could not be on the rooftop. My wedding day was perfect + stress free thanks to Emad and his team!!

Terrace on Grand went above and beyond all of our expectations. They were able to answer every question we had and also made many great suggestions. Both Emad and Maggie were personal and friendly, they almost always responded within 24 hours of every email/phone call. The views were great, it was well organized, and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend this to any couple that is looking for a great KC venue. The venue includes food, linens, and in house reception coordination, which makes it very easy to plan if you do not want to seek out vendors for every small detail.

I cannot express to everyone how great it was to have our reception at Terrace on Grand. Even though the weather didn't cooperate as much as we had hoped, it was the best decision we could have made! It was a little over our price point, but after meeting Emad for the initial site visit, I kept coming back to Terrace on Grand as our reception venue. He was very professional, but so welcoming and accommodating. He was the sole purpose I selected the venue because you could simply tell he wanted to make every bride feel special, make it her day, and make it easy for her. Maggie was fabulous throughout the planning with details and you could tell they enjoyed being a team to make sure my husband and I were taken care of throughout the night. They even made sure we ate for at least 20 minutes so we had food in us because it was going to be a loooonng night of talking.

I truly cannot thank them enough for EVERYTHING they did for us throughout the planning and the food was amazing! We did their in-house catering and I highly recommend the lasagna! I have guests still raving about the chicken lasagna and salad with the Greek Dressing. =) No need to look outside of the caterer they use. Definitely worth it!!

They definitely nailed the perfect wedding for us - BOOK THEM NOW BEFORE THEY AREN'T AVAILABLE!!

My daughter had her wedding and reception on 10/31/15 at The Terrace. Emad and Maggie and their staff were very professional and helpful. I did not have to worry about anything as they had every aspect of the wedding and rehearsal covered. We had so many guests tell us later how beautiful the space was and the rooftop was breathtaking. This was during the World Series so the downtown skyline was beautiful all decked out in blue. The food was delicious and also had many compliments on it also. Plenty of food for everyone. We used several of his recommended vendors and they were excellent also. If I had to do any other large events, I would definitely use them again.

We had a November wedding ceremony and reception at The Terrace and it was SO FABULOUS. Emad, Maggie, and the rest of the staff were helpful from day one and the day of the wedding they were on hand and taking care of all the tiniest details. Whatever questions or worries I had were quickly taken care of and I can't thank the staff more for all that. We planned our wedding from Los Angeles so we didn't get to meet with the staff much, but when we did, they wrote down every detail and remembered everything. The cocktail hour on the terrace was cold for our guests, but they flipped the room fast and our guests were allowed to come back in early. We had an AWESOME Kansas City band, Lost Wax, play at our reception and it was the perfect night and perfect space for it. A staff member also escorted my mom to her car at the end of the night and carried boxes of stuff out for her. I cannot recommend this venue any higher. If I could give it 100 stars, I would! Thanks so much, Emad and Maggie and the rest of the Terrace staff.

Terrace on Grand is a great space to begin with. We saw a picture of it in a magazine and already knew we wanted to have our September wedding reception there (or at least somewhere similar). Emad, the event coordinator goes above and beyond to make your wedding perfect. We had several pre planning meetings to hash out any details. Emad created a timeline for us; he told us what couples typically did, and helped us stay on top of our planning.
On top of a great space, they also have AMAZING catering. We decided to be difficult and requested an all vegetarian menu. They had plenty of delicious options for us to choose from- even our meat obsessed relatives enjoyed the food!
On the day of the wedding he constantly checked in on us helping us with everything (including drink refills!) He was constantly checking in with his staff and coordinating everything so there were no mishaps.We later found out that he even did it all on a broken foot! If you are looking for a downtown loft type space with a view, Terrace on Grand is DEFINITELY the perfect space, and I would highly recommend it to anyone!

Emad and Maggie (and the rest of the TOG staff) were amazing. We loved everything about the venue - the location, the VIEW, the food - it was all perfect. We were planning our wedding from out of state (not to mention my husband was in VA and I was in IL) and we were only in KC 3 times during our 15 month engagement, but Emad and Maggie were amazing in helping us work out all of the details. I appreciated that they took care of coordinating times with other vendors which allowed us to enjoy the day. The food was amazing and several guests commented it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. We wanted to include some Taiwanese food as part of our cocktail hour to honor my husband's family so the chef made some specialty items at our request. Guests loved the bubble tea and pearl meatballs! We would definitely recommend TOG to others!

Emad and Maggie worked with us through every single detail from the very beggining, from handling all of our vendors, replying to emails within minutes, and wanting to set up our wedding party table and making it look beautiful. They made our event more special than we could ever imagine. We did not have the easiest bunch of people and at times it was very stressful (I won't mention rehearsal) and Emad and his staff were very attentive to our needs and if we ever needed anything someone was right there to help! We could not have picked a more stunning venue, food, staff, and event coordinator. I have not had one complaint from a single guest. So, to Emad and Terrace on Grand staff, cheers! 6 Years ago my husband and I attended a family wedding at the Terrace on Grand and loved the experience we had as a guest. So when it came time to wedding planning this was the first place we looked at and we instantly knew this is where we would get married. Emad, Maggie and the rest of their staff did everything they possibly could to keep me stress free and made sure that everything went exactly how I envisioned it. We had a rooftop ceremony with a breathtaking view of downtown and then our reception followed immediately downstairs. The made the transition between the 2 extremely easy for our guests. I had multiple family members and friends throughout the night tell me how wonderful everything looked, how fantastic the food was and how nice all the staff members were. Almost every single one took the time to come and congratulate my husband and I which really made us feel special. Compared to other venues we looked at they had very reasonable prices and I feel they went above and beyond what they needed to do. They help with planning, decorating, and they have a catering company so it really makes wedding planning so much easier. I loved that I was able to be carefree that day knowing my wedding was in good hands. I highly, highly recommend using the terrace on grand for your wedding and/or reception.

This place is amazing. From booking and paying to planning and set up, everything was so easy and helpful. They really took the stress out. Emad and his staff are beyond accomidating and made everything smooth even though we were late and flustered and my bussel broke then my dress tore and he took care of it all in one fail swoop no hesitation. He and his staff went above and beyond! It was beautiful!!! The food was great and everyone was so professional and helpful!!! I'm SO glad we chose The Terrace on Grand! I'd love to have another event there, maybe I'll make one up just to experience it again. A large Christmas party?

The Terrace on Grand was an amazing venue for my wedding reception. We chose them for many reasons (beautiful views from rooftop terrace, all-inclusive package, reasonable pricing, great downtown location, parking lot), and as we progressed through our wedding planning, we started to realize there were so many other great reasons to choose Terrace on Grand. Their on-site wedding coordinator and staff were very professional and accommodating; they were a large part of the reason we loved the venue so much. The chef already has an extensive menu selection, but is very flexible with additional requests and his food is absolutely delicious. TOG worked directly with my vendors so my month-of wedding coordinator and I could focus on other things aside from the reception. And they did a spectacular job with the set up and literally did all of the tear down! TOG truly was a pleasure to work with and I would HIGHLY recommend them to couples looking for a wedding venue!

If you are looking for the perfect the wedding experience- pick Terrace on Grand! We choose this venue for several reasons: 1) we could do venue, food, & alcohol with one vendor 2) The food is AMAZING 3) The venue is beautiful. We then soon found out Emad is fabulous to work with! From the initial meeting Emad was flexible in scheduling a viewing & tasting; they prepared more food for the tasting than we had requested; & he was always prompt to answer questions. The week of the wedding, I dropped off chair sashs (for bows) & cloth napkins- when we arrived on Friday to decorate Emad & his staff had all the chair covers on, chair bows tied, gold chargers in place, & napkins folded! Having a venue that will take care of the little things is huge. Wedding Day: 1) we called Emad once we left the church, yes, immediately following our ceremony as we wanted to make sure the groom's father had a vegan meal- Emad assumed us it was taken care of and it was 2) Our guests LOVED the rooftop cocktail hour. We took pictures after the wedding and therefore weren't at the cocktail hour, but as much as our guests are still taking about it, we are sad we missed it! 3) When we got to the venue Emad asked what he could do- at this point we were hungry and thirsty- he brought down a plate of appetizers & drinks!-again the little things were VERY appreciated! 4) Emad and his staff asked us several times if there was anything they could get for us (more food, drinks, etc); they took care of our wedding party & our parents. 6) At the end of the evening, the staff assisted my parents in organizing the pickup of gifts, flowers, & cake that we were taking home- the staff was fabulous & my parents were very thankful. Emad goes above & beyond to make it a great experience, you can tell he truly cares that you have a great time. Our guests loved our reception, there isn't a thing we would do differently!

This venue was amazing! Emad was so helpful and always available to help and answer any questions. The view is awesome of downtown kc! I would definitely recommend this venue if you are looking for a stress free wedding day!

AMAZING venue. Emad was the perfect wedding venue coordinator, he was there every step of the way and provided anything and everything we needed for our wedding. The venue is gorgeous, with a breathtaking view of the downtown Kansas City skyline. Wedding reception staff was on the ball, and constantly making sure everyone was cared for. Emad was the best support a Bride could have on her wedding day aside from family, right there asking if I needed anything, making sure my day was perfect. Any Bride would be happy in this choice to make her day perfect!

The Terrace On Grand was a wonderful venue for our ceremony and reception. Emad the manager was excellent. He thought of everything during the ceremony and reception. The servers were efficient and courteous. The food was excellent. We had 200 guests and there was adequate room for all. Everything was perfect.

Welcoming, delightful, gracious, comfortable, unique are just a few of the words to describe this place! The meeting staffers (Emad and Maggie) were good listeners, thoughtful and patient with lots of great ideas. Chef Chris was creative and the food was delicious (and plenty of it!) A wonderful place to bring guests - the terrace overlooking downtown is a perfect venue to celebrate any occasion. Everything was well done - spread the word, this is an awesome place for business meetings, weddings, celebrations or to celebrate with a group of friends!

I can't say enough amazing things about this venue and the staff. Our wedding on 5/7/16 was absolutely surreal because of the rooftop ceremony and awesome reception. The food was perfect, so many of our guests are still commenting on how great the options were. Emad and Maggie were both AMAZING with me and our whole bridal party. They were there every second we needed them but were not overbearing. They both clearly are experts in the field of wedding planning and put me at such ease with every step of the planning process and our whole special day. I can't thank them enough for giving us perfect memories of our wedding!!

So much fun!

Emad and Maggie are so easy to work with, super flexible, and go above and beyond what venue managers would ever be expected to do. They helped make sure every aspect of our day went according to plan and put us in touch with vendors that would work for us when we weren’t sure where to look. The only downside we experienced was the air conditioner went out on our wedding day and as a result, we were very sweaty and many guests left early to escape the heat. However, the service we received more than made up for that. When our champagne riddle minds couldn’t figure out how to bustle my dress, Emad jumped in to help my mom and then jumped back out so the photographer could get pictures of her doing it. When our Uber didn’t get ordered in time to take us back after our grand exit, Emad ran to grab his keys to take us to the hotel so we wouldn’t have to get trapped talking to our guests more while we waited for our Uber (I know that sounds really bad but it’s a very long day and our faces hurt from smiling). He wrapped up all of our leftover cake for us too since we didn’t get to actually eat any of it. He stood behind us while we ate our dinner (which was DELICIOUS by the way!) so our guests wouldn’t interrupt us and he made sure we were happy and taken care of. He made sure we had a few moments to ourselves so we could take it all in, and those moments are some of my favorite from that day. Terrace on grand is unique because they don’t believe in gouging you; for example there is no cake cutting fee, and if we needed to borrow a few things, they were more than happy to help out whenever possible. Emad alone made this purchase worth it, and then the gorgeous space and delicious food are an amazing bonus.

INCREDIBLE venue and staff

Natasha and I would first like to thank Emad, Maggie and their wonderful staff again for all they did during the entire process from the initial tour all the way to the days after the wedding. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous. The main reception hall is grand. The rooftop is incredible with a wonderful 360 degree view of the downtown skyline. We didn't have the best of weather to have our ceremony outside but we got a break from the rain just in time for our evening ceremony. We were determined to have that gorgeous setting for the ceremony and we powered through the chilly weather to do it. Emad and his staff were wonderful the day of in getting everything organized even when the weather wasn't great. The food was wonderful. We kept getting compliments all evening and the days following about how great the food was. We would recommend this venue to any couple that is looking for a unique downtown wedding experience. You won't get much better than this.

Emad and Maggie were great to work with and they did everything they could plus more to make our day perfect! Not only did they do all the setting up and tarrig down, contact the vendors, and are very responsive to emails throughout the whole process, but they also even let us borrow their stuff for decorations and centerpieces. Terrace on Grand also is the caterer and the food was delicious! All our guests were very impressed! Terrace on Grand is worth the price!

This was an incredible venue! Not only was it a beautiful location for our wedding, but the staff went above and beyond to be sure that everything was perfect! They solved problems before I even knew about them and made the evening spectacular!

I would highly recommend The Terrace on Grand for a ceremony and reception venue! Emad, the event space planner, was extremely professional and easy to work with. He always had our best interests at heart and was accommodating with all of our requests. His assistant, Maggie, was a pleasure to work with as well. The day of my wedding was stress free because of these two! One of the main reasons we booked this space was because it was a "one stop shop." The food, alcohol, ceremony, linens, etc. were all included in the price per person.

We had our ceremony in the main event space, moved up to the roof for cocktail hour, and then back down to the event space for the reception. During the time we were at cocktail hour, the event staff "flipped" the space. They did it very quickly and allowed many guests to come down early from the roof because of the July heat (you can't control the weather!). Our ceremony was perfect because of the organization from the TOG staff. Emad checked in with my husband and me numerous times throughout the reception to see if we needed anything to drink/ if our expectations were being met. My parents both commented many times on how great the staff was at TOG. The food prepared by Taste KC was delicious. I had many guests comment that it was the best pork and brisket they had ever had! My expectations were exceeded and I would highly recommend this venue!

We had a great time working with the staff to make our wedding perfect! They have done this a few times before, everything ran smoothly and stayed right on schedule as we had discussed. The food was outstanding and the views from the rooftop are beautiful. Everyone who attended couldn’t stop talking about how gorgeous the venue was.

I did not have the best experience at the Terrace on Grand. The venue itself is great! The space is perfect for a mid-size wedding- we had about 120 people. And we had both our ceremony and reception at the Terrace. The rooftop deck is lovely with a beautiful view of the city. We hosted a cocktail hour while the main room was being flipped. Luckily we had gorgeous weather so everything went smoothly, but if the weather is bad, the alternatives are not great!

The staff at the Terrace is not great. I honestly felt like they didn't know me at all. I had to give them my same basic information multiple times. It was like the coordinator did not take notes during our first meeting. I found that to be incredibly frustrating. I was planning my wedding from out of town and found it very difficult to get a hold of anyone at the Terrace!

Also, for the reception, the head table was set up incorrectly- a minor detail, but it was not set up as we discussed. We also provided the venue with dozens of candles to fill the room with for the ceremony and reception. They were not even used, maybe a small handful, but that was not the vision we had discussed during the planning process. While the coordinator I worked with was a very nice person, she was not great at executing weddings. It was clear to me that they overbook themselves and their staff. It was clear to me that our wedding was not a priority to them.

Ultimately, our wedding was a beautiful success, but it wasn't because of the Terrace on Grand.
