A truly wonderful experience!

My Mother in Law planned our Rehearsal Brunch here back in September and it was absolutely fantastic! The food was to die for! Seriously, the best shrimp and grits I have ever had! Courtney, the Event Manager, really went out of her way for us! From gathering dimensions of the whiskey barrels for our decoration plans to working with my dad on keg requests for the actual wedding, Courtney was there to assist in any way she could. The bridal party and family that attended this event have been been raving about about the great food and superb accommodations that were provided and I wanted to share some well deserved credit to The Beam Room, Front Street Brewery, Courtney and all the staff that made it such a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!

Awesome Reception

My husband and I chose The Beam Room for our reception because we were having a smaller wedding and we wanted to take advantage of the charm of downtown Wilmington. The employees were so great an accommodating they helped us figure out the meals, steak and chicken, which all my guest RAVE about and we were able to stay on a budget. They require $500 down to reserve your date and time. They were just as invested in my special day as I was. They helped my friends decorate/plan where décor would go and it was beautiful. Check out their Instagram page for the various ways you can decorate their space. You won't regret picking the Beam Room.

Great Rehearsal Dinner Space

We had our rehearsal dinner at the Beam Room. The food was so good- I could eat those brussel sprouts every day. The staff was helpful and on top of it.
They even had a projector screen for slideshows

Everything went as requested

Courtney and her crew did a phenomenal job in helping us organize our wedding and they were very communicable and understanding as we changed our minds quite a few times leading up to the big day. I would definitely recommend this to someone that is looking for a classy wedding, but also looking to save a little money.

Phenomenal experience!

I would HIGHLY recommend The Beam Room for your event. We chose The Beam Room for our wedding venue and worked with Courtney the entire way through. I honestly cannot say enough good things about Courtney, the food, the space itself, the waitstaff, the location, and the pricing. The food was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing - we are still getting compliments on it 2 months later, the space is very very clean and intimate, the waitstaff was very attentive but not intrusive, the location was in the perfect spot downtown, and the pricing was the best by far out of anything that I looked at. When it comes to Courtney, I don’t even know where to begin because from the start she was amazing - she was very patient and informative, never made us feel like our questions were stupid, whatever we wanted or needed she did everything in her power to make it happen, and she is a very very good communicator. You should definitely do yourself a favor and check this place out, everything was perfect.

We used The Beam Room for our rehearsal dinner and we had around 50 guests attending the dinner. The space is beautiful and the food was delicious! It is an intimate space and perfect for families to meet and mingle the day before the wedding! I highly recommend this space for hosting an event!

Our experience at The Beam Room this past weekend was nothing short of first-rate with regard to service, food quality, and the overall look and feel of the environment. My husband and I were able to experience an incredibly memorable ceremony with our family and friends, and with some of the most delicious food and beverage I've ever had for a brunch. The compliments we received from almost every person who attended our event assured us that we could NOT have chosen a better place for this important day in our lives. We simply felt so special...

We had a rather uncomplicated event for our ceremony and reception, but Courtney and Ellie were so graciously accommodating of the typical anxieties that occur with planning an event like this. Never at any time (before, during or after the event) did we get a sense that we were burdening either the planners or the staff of servers and bartenders with our requests. The group as a whole (including the chef, whom we did not meet) cannot be recommended highly enough for the job they successfully completed for us!

And the price... There is a difference between "cheap" and "inexpensive" when it comes to describing the value of goods and services. The product we received on our day was certainly not cheap, but it was inexpensive. In other words, the value of what we received from The Beam Room greatly outweighed the cost incurred, which very much allowed us to have the best possible ceremony without going broke in the process. The only two words I can use to describe the bill for our order are: extremely reasonable.

Book this venue, work with Courtney and Ellie, and be worry free.

Excellent spot for a rehearsal dinner!! The staff was extremely easy to work with and meet all of my expectations! The food was also great! I would definitely recommend this location to someone looking for a private area to hold any event!

The Beam Room is an awesome place to hold any type of event. I had my wedding ceremony and reception there. Everyone I worked with was extremely professional Chris, Ellie, Courtney and all wait staff. No one made me feel bad about asking one million and one questions and sometimes the same questions twice. I researched many venues and my bill was quoted 3000.00 less than what I was quoted at a similar venue located on the same street. I saved money by not having a dj, I just needed about 4 songs played at specific times. The beam room has audio equipment and did not mind helping me play those specific songs. We used the Pandora commercial free the remainder of the time. We had a tasting with Ellie which was very inexpensive. Before scheduling the tasting Chris consulted me on which food package would work best for my budget, amount of food needed, etc. Courtney helped me fine tune my selection. One day I called needing help on how to organize the transition between my ceremony and reception. Courtney helped me that day. She gave me plenty of ideas on how to go about it and she stayed on the phone with me until I came to a conclusion. The day of the wedding, the wait staff and bartenders were amazing. They kept the drinks and food coming. The food was GREAT! I am so glad that I used them for my wedding and reception.

The Beam Room was such a beautiful setting for our son's rehearsal dinner! The staff were most accommodating from unloading our supplies/decorations, setting up the room, running the bar for our guests, preparing and serving food, and running the elevator for our guests. The food was delicious and more than enough for our crowd. They worked diligently to keep it fresh, packed our leftovers, and plated and served our cake. I would choose them again and again!!!! Thanks to the Front Street Brewery for making our dinner one to always cherish and remember.

Everyone at the Beam Room was extremely helpful. We had the Brewer's Bash for out rehearsal. Everything was delicious, my brothers are still raving about the drumsticks!

The entire staff at the Beam Room was great to work with from beginning to the end! They provided several options for catering as well as working with me on gluten free options for a few of my guest. We were able to decorate the room to add a personal touch but the Beam Room has some very unique features of it's own. I hope you will visit the place for yourself and meet the staff. You won't be disappointed!

I had an awesome experience with The Beam Room. They were very friendly and knowledgeable when making the arrangements for my son's Wedding Rehearsal Dinner. Also, they had everything ready when we got there and were so attentive and friendly while we were there. They catered to our every need! I didn't need to worry about anything while we were being served! It felt great to sit back and enjoy the stress free Dinner!

We used the Beam Room for our Rehearsal Dinner and Welcome Reception in April and were blown away by how friendly and accomodating the staff was. Everyone who attended loved the space and we were so appreciative of how the staff went above and beyond to help us with every question and detail during our set up that afternoon. We used this for my son's rehearsal dinner. The food was wonderful, you could not ask for better service. Everyone was so helpful allowing us to drop things off early for set up the people attending truly loved the atmosphere. I highly recommend having an event here.

From a professional meeting planner who was perhaps a bit skeptical, I can honestly say - this venue's level of service and ability to handle significant details was incredible. Ours was not a wedding but a surprise 50th anniversary celebration and this exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend working with not just Courtney but the entire staff all worked together to make the evening an unforgettable event for our parents.

There was really no end to the help provided by the entire staff during our wedding; everything from helping with the music to making sure we were getting the best value for our dollar! The staff during the wedding couldn't have been more on point if they tried and that opinion was not just ours but many of our users commented on their professionalism as well they honestly knocked it way way out of the park and really made everything everything about the wedding and the rehearsal so easy and amazing!!! Also the food was amazing the Swedish meatballs were a huge hit but everything was so good! Thank you guys for making our day perfect you truley were such an important part of that and the fact that we had to stress about absolutely nothing meant everything to us!!!

We used The Beam Room for our ceremony and our reception. They were easy to communicate with, had a very flexible schedule and did a wonderful job with the setup and plated dinners. The space is beautiful and required little decoration. It was also very affordable and allowed me to have the wedding I always wanted for under 6k!

My husband and I got married there last Sunday, 9/4/2016. I have to say that the whole year leading up to it until the after everyone was extremely helpful and did everything they could to make my day perfect. They even let us rework our orginal estimate to help us save money. We did our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception for 60 people. We had plenty of room and everything flowed smoothly. I am truly happy we picked this place. The food was fantastic and everyone had a great time.

The Beam Room was AMAZING! I had my son's rehearsal dinner there on June 30th and everything was great. From the first meeting with Ellie through the very end of the event, the communication and the response time was fast, any questions I had were answered clearly, and I felt like I knew exactly what to expect. Katie and Martha were our event hosts and they were attentive and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time (lighting the candles that I forgot to light, cutting our cake for us, keeping us informed throughout the evening). The atmosphere in the room was perfect...the room itself is very nice with its rustic decor, the tvs were perfect for a slideshow I had put together and the music they played for us (I forgot our playlist at home) pulled it all together. The food selection was extensive and what we chose was very, very good. It was hot and fresh and everyone kept saying how good it was. I would definitely choose The Beam Room again for any future events and highly recommend them to anyone.

The Beam Room was an awesome choice for us. The Food was amazing, our guests really loved it. Chis was great to work with and answered all my questions in a timely manner. I planned the wedding from a different state and Chris was very understanding of that. We used the off-site catering and bar services, and rented party supplies through them too. I would definitely recommend The Beam Room to anyone looking for a company that’s easy to work with, is affordable, and has great food.

Extremely user friendly. Very attentive during the event. Always available for questions or suggestions. All staff extremely personable. Would 100% recommend the Beam Room!! Not 1 complaint was heard from a single guest. Also the room is totally yours without any interference from the "outside world". Food was excellent.

We worked with Ellie from the beginning and she was abosloutely wonderful! We could call or text her and she would always respond in a timely manner. She allowed us to stop by the venue as many times as needed to ask any questions or go over setup. The staff at Front Street and The Beam Room are so professional. I highly recommend this venue!

Chris and his team at The Beam Room were amazing! Chris is very good with communication which as we all know is a must when it comes to planning a wedding. We were planning ours from Connecticut so it can be tough not being able to meet with anyone in person anytime you want, however Chris has plenty of experience setting these things up so the planning went smooth! We were able to meet with him a few months prior on a trip to see family in the area to go over some details and try some of the menu items we were thinking about, all of which were delicious!

We only planned on having our reception at The Beam Room but due to some crazy weather moving through the area we were in a pinch to get the alternate set up. Luckily for us Chris can set up The Beam Room for a ceremony with little time needed and then transform it right back into the perfect reception area. This is a great location to get some wonderful pictures downtown as well!

The food was fabulous! Everyone I talked to at the reception absolutely loved the food and these are people from three corners of the US! The servers and bartender were all excellent and incredibly helpful with everything we needed. You have to have the stuffed mushrooms and the crab stuffed chicken!!! They are to die for!!!

We cannot say enough great things about Chris Andrews and the Beam Room. We had our rehearsal dinner at the Beam Room and they catered our reception, too. Our guests gushed about the food both nights. Great food, great service, and unbelievable memories. The moment we walked upstairs into the Beam Room we knew it was going to be a great weekend.

From our initial email inquiring about services to post event follow-up, Chris was quick to respond to our questions and happy to work with our ideas. We wanted beer and wine that his restaurant doesn't usually serve and he worked to find a cost effective way to provide it for us. He even took charge of ordering and coordinating our rentals with a third party (all but unheard of!). He was patient, kind, prompt, and professional. His staff was great, too. Under Chris's direction, they stepped up when we had issues with our coordinator, essentially saving the day! Truly, he and our photographer were the two best decisions of the day (besides marrying each other!). You will not regret hiring Chris and the Beam Room. If we ever have another event in the area, he will be our first call!

I've been going to Front St. brewery for years....This is a great venue to use. We had about 50 people total and it was more than enough room with tables and chairs and bar/standing space. There could have been more if we needed it, but we didn't. The staff is great to work with and decorations were minimal since it's just a great looking space as is. Definitely recommend...I've looked at other spaces downtown and got rates and the Beam Room is tough to beat! Food and alcohol rates are great as well! Staff is top notch and will make sure your special event runs smoothly

This was actually the rehearsal dinner before our son's wedding the next day, not the wedding. We host an annual New Years Day dinner at home, and since we were not going to be at home this year, we asked Chris if the Beam Room could replicate our dinner menu. He was very responsive and did a wonderful job making us feel comfortable with the venue and the food. They were also able to meet two of our guests allergy issues, substituting appetizers and dishes that they could safely eat. I would highly recommend the Beam Room for your event!

Chris Andrews and Ellie Craig and their staff were extremely professional and easy to work with. The facility was wonderful, the service OUTSTANDING and the food was beyond compare. Everyone raved about the event and didn't want it to end! The attention to detail thoroughness provided made this the "event of the year"!!

I highly recommend the Beam Room for a party. I am not from North Carolina, and had to plan most of the rehearsal dinner over the phone with Chris, the manager of the Beam Room, and he was wonderful to work with.
On the night of the dinner, the room was lovely, with a cozy feel to it, the food was very good and the staff was so easy to work with.

I booked The Beam Room for two days for my family reunion and the entire experience was amazing! From start to finish they were always helpful, willing to answer my multiple questions, and accommodate us in any way possible. Chris Andrews was amazing in how he was always willing to talk things through with me. On the day of both events the staff were more than helpful in setting things up and the events ran incredibly smooth. Their staff were all polite, kind, and professional. The food was fantastic and plentiful! If I ever have another event in Wilmington then I would definitely book The Beam Room again, they were worth every penny!

The beam room was great! My wedding was or inlay supposed to be outside, with the reception at the beam room. However there was a tropical storm on the day of and the beam room allowed us to move the wedding there at very short notice! They were so great!!

High quality, professional, service oriented staff, entertaining atmosphere, exceeding my expectations.....these are all words which describe my feelings toward the Beam Room located upstairs in Front Street Brewery in Wilmington, NC. As the father of the bride I was hoping that my daughter's wedding reception experience would be second to none. Mission accomplished! The entire offering of food, open bar beverages, coffee and desert were exceptional. The venue itself lent itself perfectly to a party of our size (75). Everyone's feedback on the evening was exceptional. The wait staff, the bartenders and Katie (our wedding planner) knocked it out of the park. Our son's video surprise for his sister was captured perfectly on the big screen projector and the numerous flat panel TVs that circled the room. My wife and I are so pleased with how everything turned out. I would definitely recommend The Beam Room to any other Father of the Bride looking for a venue for his daughter's wedding reception. This is the second occasion that my family has used the Beam Room for a family event: the first was for my husbands 60th birthday celebration 1 year ago and this past weekend for my daughter's wedding reception. I couldn't have been happier both times. Chris, manager, and all of his staff 'bent over backwards' to create the perfect venue for my daughter's wedding. They were helpful, courteous, flexible and professional in all interactions. My daughter's wedding was perfect and this was made possible by having a wonderful venue for her wedding reception. Our event was a wedding rehearsal luncheon and we had a wonderful time. The food was delicious and presented beautifully . The room is a large space with a warm atmosphere perfect for two new families to come together and get the chance to know one another. We booked the Beam Room at Front Street Brewery for the rehearsal dinner for my son's wedding. Because of the popularity of the Beam Room, we placed a deposit and booked in May 2014 for the wedding in March 2015. I spoke with Chris Andrews at Front Street Brewery several times, but mostly we used email. He was very prompt in answering any questions I had and he was very professional in all exchanges I had with him.
You have to meet a minimum dollar amount in food and beverage depending on which night of the week you have your event so we were happy to let the Beam Room cater the entire meal for our 30 guests. We provided one glass of wine or one beer for each guest by giving each guest a drink ticket. The bar was open for guests to purchase any additional alcoholic drinks.
The tables were very nicely set with simple but elegant centerpieces. The one thing I thought was a little odd was that the tables, chairs, plates, cloth napkins, silverware, and glassware were all included in the rental of the room, but we had to pay extra to rent the linen table covers. It seemed those should have also been included in the price.
The bride and her brother put together a slide show to present before dessert. They have a large pull down projector screen on which we watched the slide show. If you are planning to do a slide show, be sure to check with Chris Andrews to find out what you need to bring to them so that it is compatible with the Audio Visual equipment setup they have there.
The room is very spacious and is perfect for a rehearsal dinner or any event that has a larger guest list. We had several guests throughout the night compliment the service, the food , and the atmosphere. I even had one of the wedding planners tell me the next day that she heard from the wedding party what a good time they had at the rehearsal dinner the night before and what a great choice the Beam Room was for this event. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone!

The staff at the Front Street Brewery are fantastic. When calling around for a place to hold our event the Brewery / Bean Room was a perfect match for what we wanted. It was easy to book the room and the selections from the menu were amazing. The room was set up perfectly, we were able to come in early to set up our own decor. Our food was delicious, hot and plenty of it, the staff was extremely responsive and professional. The drinks from the bar were delicious and prepared perfectly. I would highly recommend the Front Street Brewery to anyone who needed a place to have an event or a party, and who wanted to get the best bang for their buck. The Beam Room Staff was absolutely attentive to our every need. When we needed last minute flexibility regarding setting up of a video they were on it. The food was great and warm-hard to do when you are preparing for the masses. The beer choices were awesome as well. Our feedback was terrific from our guests in attendance-they loved the venue, the food and the treatment from staff. Chris went out of his way to familiarize me with the downtown Wilmington area so that we could find a unique place to continue our celebration with the send off of Chinese lanterns. My wedding day went off without a hitch thanks to everyone at the Beam Room. The room was set up perfectly and even though I had a small guest list, it didn't look empty.
The staff was absolutely amazing! They were very helpful with any and all of our needs and were so friendly. Chris was quick to respond to my emails and was very easy to work with.
The beer is delicious which is impressive because I'm picky when it comes to beer. Also, the food was out of this world. We chose the brewer's bash and our guests raved about how good the food was. They made something as simple as macaroni and cheese taste like it belonged in a five start diner.
I am so glad I chose the Beam Room as my wedding venue. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend them!

The Beam Room staff was AMAZING! Chris was so easy to work with & was FAST with email communication especially during the two weeks leading up to the event when I had 100 questions. The service was beyond what I imagined and best of all it was extremely affordable. We had about 65 guests seated with plenty of room for a dance floor, cake area and bar area. Since Front Street Brewery was one of the bride and groom's favorite places during college, it made perfect sense to have the rehearsal dinner there. My son and his fiancée chose the "Brewer's Bash" and no one left hungry! The bartender and wait staff were attentive and were virtually unseen as they performed their duties expertly. I cannot say enough about the service and Wilmington is fortunate to have this facility. Thank you again for making this mother-of-the-groom's job effortless.

I have not a single negative thing to say about our experience. We held our wedding and reception at The Beam Room and from start to finish, the experience was amazing. You can tell that Chris and his staff really wanted to make the event special for us. The food was AMAZING. The guests raved about it - one out of town guest said next time shes in town she's coming back just for the mac and cheese. We had our rehearsal dinner here in the Beam Room on the 3rd floor of the Front Street Brewery. The space was absolutely perfect! They offered audio visual set-up for our speeches and slideshow which was great. The food, as expected, was amazing. One word: brisket! They let us alter the menu, too, to include a couple of our favorite items from another package (fried okra!!). The staff was great to work with and really made the night run smoothly. We had our wedding reception at the Beam Room and we had a great time! The room will fit 100 people. It was a bit tight, but very wonderful. They have music equipment you can use so you can just bring your own IPod and plug in. The food was delicious and device was excellent! Their craft beers are awesome as well. The place is nice and it has a vintage vibe, my husband and I fell in love with the place (we were looking for a place with hardwood floors and this one was perfect). We could use all the decoration that we wanted for our reception (including lights and candles) and they even helped us to install everything. The tables, chairs and tablecloths were included (a lot of places don't include them). We also paid for the catering: the food tasted so good! I totally recommend this place.

I used the Beam Room for a "Pre-wedding party" the Saturday night before my Sunday ceremony. The space was perfect for our 100 guests. Our experience with The Beam Room was wonderful and we would definitely recommend to others. Staff was very accommodating and helpful and we couldn't have asked for a better bartender! Courtney and Chris worked to make it all perfect. The only negative was the risotto. It was dry and looked more like rice. At the tasting it was creamy and had great flavor. Great for smaller weddings. The only problem we experienced was that we could only get in to the venue an hour and a half early. This was not enough time to decorate and we were rushed. Staff were very easy to work with in planning.

Food was great!!! Dinner was not ready exactly at 7:00pm as planned, but was ready shortly afterwards. Venue was beautiful!

The staff was friendly and helpful throughout. They delivered what they promised and I was very happy with the way the event turned out. We had a great time! Good beer, food, and service lots of laughs!

Food was excellent! Delicious! Crab stuffed chicken, Prime Rib, and Herb crusted grouper were mouth watering. So many great comments from my guests on the quality and tastiness of the food served in The Beam Room. Our bartender was fun and friendly. The cost of the evening was on the high side but so was the quality - amazing food and amazing drinks. We originally booked the open bar and a few weeks before the event, My in-laws saw the cost and got worried it might be too much. They wanted to change to the cash bar and add the brewery tour and tasting, so my husband called and tried to make the changes and they stated that we unable to make the changes due to staffing. It was partially our fault for waiting last minute to change stuff but just a heads up. That's why I rated them lower on flexibility. That is my only complaint. Other than that, a great rehearsal dinner!
