So when I finally got to see my wedding cake at the reception (this is my first viewing on it) I was SO HAPPY WITH HOW IT TURNED OUT. It was soooo beautiful even better than what I had imagined. Michelle did an excellent job with the design and she really knew what I wanted. It also tasted AMAZING. I couldn't say enough good things about this cake. Thank you so much Michelle. I would HIGHLY recommend using her.

Me and my husband took in pictures for how we wanted our cake to be and Michelle and her team exceeded expectations! It was just like the picture. Michelle also did my bridal shower cake and my husbands grooms cake! Everything was 100% perfect!

We are so happy we found the Sweet Stuff bakery!! They were right in our price range and so close to our venue. We chose to do a small bridal cake and groom's cake. Michelle made the cakes exactly as I hoped and they were beautiful, not to mention delicious! I would highly recommend this bakery for weddings.

We went into our consultation with Michelle not knowing quite what we wanted for our wedding and groom's cakes. She let us browse through pictures, picking out ones that caught our eye as we did our cake tasting--it was not high pressure, we felt very comfortable. Once she started talking to us, she picked up on parts of our personality and helped inspire the cakes we decided on, she was very involved and creative.
Michelle's cakes are as beautiful on the outside as they are delicious on the inside. I cannot wait until my anniversary to dig into my wedding cake again. The groom's cake was a TARDIS, which was constructed amazingly and perfect down to every last detail.

Michelle with The Sweet Stuff was fantastic. We had tried about three different kinds of cakes until I got the right one that just made my day. This was probably Tim's (my husband) favorite part of the wedding process. I mean, who can't be happy with trying cake. He knew exactly what he wanted...Red Velvet with Creamcheese frosting, with the Texas A&M Seal. Our wedding cake was a three teir Strawberry Champagne Lemon swirl with Buttercream frosting. Our design was white with black satin ribbon and black swirls along the side to cordinate with our wedding invitations. She also added red rose petals to add that special touch. It was so good, and the cake was enough for everyone we had invited and then some. My one request was for my sister to cute us a huge piece so my Husband and I could enjoy once we left the reception. I mean, You want to enjoy your wedding cake beside that once piece you feed each other. (I totally recommend you save another piece to enjoy later) :)
Will use The Sweet Stuff for our bakery going forward.

I found this vendor at the Bridal Expo in Austin and could not have picked a better cake.

They were so professional and easy o work with. Melissa had wonderful suggestions and BY FAR surpassed our highest expectations for my cake and my husbands cake. And you can't beat the price. So many of our guests said that this was the best wedding cake they have ever had! It was amazing!

Michelle, the Sweet Stuff owner, did a beautiful and ultra creative job with our wedding and groom's cakes. She had the best pricing and delivered two delicious cakes. She found a recipe that worked with gluten allergy issues. She was professional and willing to be creative with the groom's cake. I would easily work with her again for any special occasion!

I am so happy with how my wedding cake turned out!! Michelle was so helpful & a pleasure to work with. My cake looked exactly how I wanted it & also tasted great. Not to mention the price was very reasonable. Would deffinitely recommend this place to others!!

Michelle was so awesome to work with! Very friendly and professional, the cake tasted absolutely amazing, and it looked exactly how I had envisioned. I wouldn't be able to think of a single complaint! Highly recommend.

Michelle is so great and soooo talented! I went to a few different places before I met her and she made me feel so at ease and not rushed or pressured at all. You also cant beat her prices for the quality that you get! She has tons of pictures of her past work and lots of examples in the shop and they're all fantastic. While we were waiting 2 or 3 people came in picking up cakes for parties and they had all used her for their wedding cakes and went on and on about how great she is and how delicious their cakes were. During the meeting Michelle was friendly and informative and had some great suggestions for me. Then I dropped the bomb on her that my husband to be wanted a working volcano cake for his grooms cake (all chocolate of course) and she didn't even flinch! My dad built a crazy cake stand with a pump contraption and Michelle built a beautiful volcano around it, complete with trees and everything. I thought it was going to be a disaster but it turned out to be a huge hit at the wedding. Then there's the taste of course, they were amazingly delicious. We had 3 different flavors (wedding cake, red velvet, and chocolate) between our 2 cakes and each layer was moist and delicious. Exactly what you want your wedding cake to taste like! We got a ton of compliments from our wedding guests and couldn't have been happier with the results.

You will not find a better value for your wedding cake. We chose to do a small two tier cake and four different kinds of cupcakes and they were the most reasonably priced we found in the whole Austin area, not to mention they were completely DELICIOUS and many guests said they were the best cupcakes they've ever had. We agreed. I am so glad we didn't hesitate to hire Michelle, she was so sweet and helpful during our consultation and I knew right away we could trust her with the details. She was great!

Our wedding cake and groom's cake turned out perfect. Her creativity set her apart from any other bakery. She worked very hard to make sure our cakes looked exactly how we had described. We were very impressed and satisfied.

I couldn't believe the wonderful price and quality! I had so many options! I had a three tiered cake and each tier was one layer white and one layer chocolate. The filling was a strawberries and cream filling. Also the price of $369 included a grooms cake that was in the shape of a truck. The wedding cake was 1.95/serving and the grooms cake was $2.50/serving. Would recommend them to everyone I know. You will pay a lot more in Austin than just down the road in Kyle.

Our wedding cake from the sweet stuff was absolutely delicious! It was definitely the best wedding cake I have ever had. We only wanted one cake so we so we had the brides cake be a mixture of white and chocolate with bavarian cream filling. Amazing!!!

Michelle, the owner of the Sweet Stuff, is incredible. She has the most amazing cakes, taste and looks. I have used her 3 other times in the past year since my wedding and everytime she amazes me. She was on time, set up beautifully, and was very reasonably prices. I love her and her cakes!

Michelle's Sweet Stuff wedding cakes are divine!! Her suggestions and expertise exceeded our expectations! Our daughter was thinking outside the box and Michelle grabbed her vision and it was beautiful!!! And the groom's rice krispie treat tower was just like mom used to make! We were beyond happy!

The Sweet Stuff is an affordable, beautiful, and delicious option for your wedding cake or cupcakes. We did cupcakes with a small cutting cake and a grooms cake all from here. It was delicious and moist, but also looked good! I looked at several cake places and this was the only place I found that satisfied my stomach and my eyes equally. Michelle is super sweet and flexible to the point that I was making changes 2 weeks prior to the wedding and she said it was no big deal. She came to the venue and set everything up beautifully just like in the photos I had shown her. Just to make sure I was good with this bakery, before the wedding I purchased an assortment of cupcakes for my husband's birthday just to see which flavor people liked best. There were 10 people and I had purchased 24 cupcakes- all were gone. At our wedding we had 80 people and I had purchased 75 cupcakes, the small cutting cake, and a grooms cake to feed 40. We had a little bit of the groom's cake and cutting cake left. If that doesn't tell you people enjoyed it, I don't know what will!

Michelle was great! She was really helpful in the selection process for our wedding and grooms cakes. The wedding cake was gorgeous and tasted even better on the big day than during the tasting session. We got a bacon and eggs grooms cake, which she had never done before, and it looked amazing!

The Sweet Stuff/Michelle was just wonderful. I have gotten several cakes from the Sweet Stuff that were just wonderful. I was not at all disappointed with my wedding cakes! All of the cakes were decorated just as I asked them to be and I swear were some of the best tasting cakes I have ever had! We also got cupcakes...red velvet and chocolate. I only had a few complaints from family that the purple icing on the chocolate cupcakes was alittle off. Everyone told me how fantastic the cake was and for the price that we paid it was a big success! I won't go anywhere else for cake....The Sweet Stuff is where I will always get cake!

Excellent value and yummy cake. The Sweet Stuff is located in Kyle and had MUCH better prices than anyone else we met with in Austin. We tasted cakes at a couple of other reputable places, but chose The Sweet Stuff because of the price AND because I thought the cake was delicious. Also, we weren't doing a groom's cake, but I still wanted both white and chocolate cakes. So, they made each layer 1/2 white and 1/2 chocolate with raspberry filling in the middle. That way each slice was 1/2 white and 1/2 chocolate cake. The guests LOVED it because they could have a bit of both without having to take 2 slices (which I'm sure lots of people did anyway). We ate our anniversary layer a year later and it was just as good as on our wedding day!

Michelle did an excellent job on our wedding and grooms cake. It was exactly what I had imagined. She was very prompt and professional when answering emails, phone or in person meeting. The Sweet Stuff is very reasonably priced and has wonderful tasting cake! Everyone at my wedding was making comments about how beautiful and great tasting the cake was. I would highly recommend The Sweet Stuff for your wedding cake or any other event!

Michelle made us the most perfect grooms cake, and I didn't have to explain it to her at all (it was a Halo cake) Everyone loved it, and my bridal cake, which was made with all the vibrant colors I wanted. Both were delicious ( strawberry and strawberries and cream for me, chocolate and cookies and cream for him) and his was a big hit, with even more detail than I even imagined. And you can't beat the price!

We were very pleased with Michelle from The Sweet Stuff. We ordered our cake with pretty late notice & she executed perfectly. When I saw my cake on my wedding day I could not believe that it looked EXACTLY how i had pictured it in my head. She hit it dead on! It was gorgeous! I am not a huge cake fan but I have to say that it was delicious. I also did not have to worry about a thing on wedding day. She delivered on time, found the flowers for the cake decoration & the petals for the table (pretty sure they were both still in the cooler & she probably had to track them down..) & set it all up and was in & out. The cake and the entire display looked amazing. I could not have asked for more.

I loved, loved, loved this cake! And I wasn't alone. We received so many compliments on the bride's cake, it wasn't funny! I knew the groom's cake would be wonderful -- how can you go wrong with chocolate cake with chocolate fudge icing with a Reese's peanut butter cup filling? But I usually don't like bridal cake -- it's usually dry and not very flavorful. But this cake was amazingly moist and delicious (we had a bavarian cream/raspberry filling - yummy!). And the leftovers were super moist even a week later! Michelle also includes very specific, detailed instructions on how to freeze the anniversary layer (and how to defrost it). We'll see if it stays fresh! I'd imagine it will -- there's a TON of saran wrap and foil covering it! :)
On top of everything, both cakes were decorated to perfection! I couldn't have imagined them being any more perfect!

Pros: Fantastic flavor and tons of options. The price is right. I couldn't believe Michelle didn't charge me extra to have teal frosting. Other bakers wanted to charge ridiculous amounts for colored frosting and delivery to Kyle (she is located in Kyle).

And of course, everyone raved about how delicious the cake was!

Cons: Our cake was supposed to have a bit more scroll design, but it still looked beautiful. Michelle isn't the best at returning phone calls or e-mails, but when you get a hold of her, it gets done.

Michelle was great to work with. It is true it is a little difficult to get a hold of her, but you just have to call her in the morning before things get busy for her. She did a perfect job on our cakes, and at a great price. The cakes were also delicious!!

The price was great and the cakes looked great but I'm really upset with the taste of both my bride's cake and groom's cake. The taste left a lot to be desired they were totally not what we tasted during our taste testing. They tasted like they were stale and the bride's cake was VERY DRY!!! I expected to get lot's of compliments on the taste but we actually got several complaints :( which was kind of sad especially because people normally don't complain about things like these at weddings. It was family that said this to me but I'm sure other guests were thinking it since we had so much cake left over that we ended up having to throw away. Very dissappointed because Michelle was really nice and like I said the cakes were beautiful to look at. This is so heartbreaking to me because I only get one wedding day and one wedding cake and I really wish it would have been the cake of my dreams. :(

This review is hard for me to write. I was nearing a panic attack a month before the wedding when I had tried for two weeks to get ahold of Michelle and couldn't get ahold of her in any way I tried. When I finally did contact her, she blamed it on the fact that I was calling her cell phone (a number she gave me) and that her cell phone doesn't work in her bakery...My question - did you not check the 5,000 messages I left when you got home? It was not until I threatened to find another baker that she called me back and told me that she had a different email now (one that is not advertised on her web site), so I was using all the wrong information to contact her. After I finally did get in touch with her, she was better, but definitely not what I would call professional. The cakes were her only saving grace - they were delicious and exactly what I wanted them to look like. We had so many comments on how moist the cakes were and the grooms cake was completely gone at the end of the night and there were only a few pieces of mine left. It's hard to say whether I'd use them again...I was so, so disappointed in the service I got, but in the end it all worked out okay...and Michelle's prices are lower than you'd find anywhere else in Central Texas.
