Studio B at The Broach helped make our wedding day absolutely perfect!! The venue was meaningful as well, because my husband and I met in downtown Greensboro! I would recommend Studio B to any bride-to-be, the staff were very helpful, enthusiastic, and flexible.....and with the price to rent the venue....I would not have chosen anywhere else to share our special day!! The memories and photographs are priceless!

we recently used the Studio B space for our wedding and reception, and loved it. Craig was fantastic, easy to get ahold of, and totally flexible with all of our odd requests. the place was clean and well lit and the blue floor was just amazing. we will send people that way, for sure, and probably use the space again in the future for anniversary parties. the space is great for around 100 people.

We held our reception at Studio B and it turned out really well. Craig was very flexible and provided us with information, space dimensions, measurements, etc. The price included set up of tables and chairs, and we ended up providing our own alcohol which was an additional $300, although they do have a bar on site for an additional price. The space worked really well for 100 guests, including space for a dance floor and photo booth.

Only glitch was that we were told by co-ordinator that we could leave non- perishable clean up until the next day [wedding was on a sunday] but a different person on site that afternoon told us everything had to be out and gone that evening. It was extremely inconvenient in that the parents and available family members [all of whom were exhausted and in formal attire] had to pack everything up. Took 2 hours.I [the mother of the bride and also the wedding co-ordinator] was not happy but too tired at the time to deal with it.

    Community Theatre of Greensboro's reply:

We thank you for your valuable feedback and we have eliminated this problem. We no longer have co-coordinators and clients will be working with the Studio B Manager throughout their planning process, in order to insure a smooth and reliable experience.

I held my wedding and reception at the theatre and studio. At first it was a rocky start. They had just fired and hired someone new and I really enjoyed working with Jordan, he was the main reason I booked there. They promised me the world to make up for mistake after mistake which was nothing, but the office manager, Terry had no time for me and referred to me as Bridezilla! I wanted to take my wedding elsewhere but it was my dream location. Finally I was able to work with April and she made everything perfect. She went far and beyond to make up for errors of management. The place is fantastic and quaint. Just make sure you ask to meet everyone that will be working the day of your event. Only complaint is no hot water to wash hands in any of the bathrooms and musty smell in the bridal room. The colors of the studio are perfect and the hanging lanterns are great and come with the facility.

I was interested in this venue for a 70th birthday party in late August. After multiple attempts I was finally able to speak with someone, April, about hosting my party. On the phone she was rude and did not provide me with a telephone number to reach her at. Finally, when we got around to the availability of Studio B she was again rude and said she would email about whether or not it was available. Finally after nearly two weeks of not getting a response I emailed April informing her that I would be hosting my party elsewhere. April's response was not only rude but sarcastic and unprofessional, saying it was fault that I did not get an email that she claims to have sent, calling me unprofessional because I was taking my business elsewhere and using all caps to say that I would be put on their "do not rent list". Additionally, April said that they would have no problem renting the space insinuating that my business was not needed. If you are looking for somewhere to host your event I would look elsewhere due to the behavior of this one person. Below I have copied the entire email I received from April.

I'm sorry you feel that way. We are a nonprofit and depend on volunteers. We do not have any problems renting the space, so feel free to be negative and not act as a professional. I too will be sure to add your name to our DO NOT RENT LIST and save your email for others to see. If you look closely - I DID RESPOND TO YOU the same day as your email and only 45 minutes later, it is you that did not respond until now. Thank you for being honest in your behavior over a mistake that is on your side.

    Smiles,
    April
