Thank you Chris

I don’t even know where to start when saying how great Chris was as our wedding photographer. First of all, Chris is a TRUE professional at everything that he does. I’ve seen so many professional photos where there is too much flash or somehow the lighting is off but Chris absolutely NAILED IT with all of our photos, even in challenging lighting indoors, outdoors, low light, etc.I don’t know how he does it! In addition, he has an excellent eye for locations to take photos and how to help me and my husband pose for absolutely beautiful and natural-looking photos. His editing was also great and it was super easy to access our photos. I can say that he is a truly skilled professional in every aspect of what he does.

In addition, Chris is an incredibly kind person and was SO pleasant to work with. Not only did Chris work very closely with us leading up to the wedding to fully understand our vision, he was also SO great to work with on the day of and he got my husband to smile and pose for lots of photos (which is a huge feat in itself, he usually is over it after a few minutes). As part of the wedding package, Chris offered an engagement photo shoot, which we did at Green Lakes State Park, and these photos came out really really incredible. Also, it was great that Chris taught us how to pose so we would not feel awkward posing for photos on our wedding day and ensured that our wedding photos would come out great as well.

On the day of the wedding, Chris was super accommodating about making sure we got all the family photos and portraits we wanted. He made sure everything went seamless and like I mentioned he made sure our pictures came out absolutely incredible.

Lastly, Chris has an excellent reputation in the local wedding industry - literally every other vendor I worked with (from the florist to wedding planner to makeup) asked who my photographer is and said "OMG you are so lucky, Chris is the best!!" It was so great to see that everyone who has worked with him can see how excellent his work is.

Once again, I cannot say enough good things about Chris. He was amazing to work with and our photos came out so incredible.

Wonderful Experience

Chris at The Story Photography was amazing to work with. We got married at a historic theater which made lighting tricky as there was no natural light. Chris did such an amazing job with our pictures, especially given that unique situation and we were so happy with how all of our pictures came out. He is clearly passionate about what he does and has a ton of experience to back it up. The candid moments he was able to get on camera were amazing too...he went above and beyond! Chris collaborated so well with us to make sure that our vision from our engagement photos through to our wedding day photos were exactly what we wanted. We would highly recommend him!

Amazing photos and amazing personality

Chris was amazing to work with! Super professional and very organized. He was very helpful in keeping us on track with time and making sure he got every important shot along the way. We hired Chris because we wanted a lot of candid photos and boy did he deliver!! He was fun to work with and I recommend him to anyone who wants someone to capture the feeling of our event! Chris is absolutely the best!

Chris was truly the best, we absolutely loved our experience working with him! He captured all of the big and little moments and emotions from our wedding day, and I'm still pouring over his beautiful photos.

He was extremely organized and responsive leading up to our wedding - even when we had to change our venue three weeks beforehand due to Covid.

Like a lot of men, my husband wasn't sure about the idea of a photoshoot, and Chris had immediately put him at ease and made it fun.

We especially appreciated his professional, calming demeanor during such a busy day. He also turned around our photos very quickly, so we were able to see them during our honeymoon!

Exceptional and Incredible Photographer

We met Chris back in 2019 when we booked him for our wedding. The entire planning process with him was phenomenal. He helped us navigate our postponement with ease, handled challenges from others with grace, and kept me calm throughout the entire process. He showed up at our door ready for our wedding and did an exquisite job. He was calm, attentive, creative and made this nervous bride feel at ease. After our ceremony he brought us over to the lake for some scenic pictures of just the two of us and it was great to have a few moments of quiet, which I think Chris knew we needed. He captured the entire day beautifully and with such grace. He truly kept me and my husband feeling so calm and happy that day and we can’t thank him enough for all he did to make our day feel so special. Thank you, Chris!

Captured The Magic Perfectly!

Chris went above and beyond our expectations as our wedding photographer in Ithaca, NY. It was incredibly easy to set up communication with him months before our wedding, especially as we planned our wedding 100% virtually.

He was very knowledgable about our venue, and was accepting of our requested shots throughout the day, while having his own artistic suggestions. His photographs captured the magic of the day (and then some), while his editing style kept the photos looking natural, but refined.

He blended into the background during the day and wasn't a distraction for us or our guest at the ceremony or reception while capturing every moment and the energy of the day perfectly.

Most importantly, he was prompt with getting the prints to us just a few weeks after the wedding.

We were beyond pleased with our experience working with Chris. Chris was so incredibly easy to work with, his experience and organization were so appreciated throughout the planning process. Having only spoken to Chris over the phone, meeting him in person on the morning of the wedding could have been awkward or nerve-wracking, however Chris was so calm, patient, and not intrusive at all. He let the events of the morning happen so naturally all while capturing beautiful moments. Chris got up a blog post shortly after our wedding day and it brought so much joy to us as we read through his sweet commentary and got a glimpse at some of the great shots he took. I had heard from friends that putting together the wedding album was the worst part of wedding pictures and many still haven’t put theirs together over 2 years later. Chris made this process super easy by pulling together the pictures he thought worked best and then allowing us to make edits. It was so much less daunting then starting from a blank canvas. We received our album two months after the wedding and I love looking through the beautiful book often. I lost my grandmother unexpectedly six months after our wedding and am so so thankful Chris captured so many beautiful shots of her enjoying the day. We had put together a small album for my grandparents of pictures Chris took and the book made her so happy. She loved that day and thanks to Chris, I have pictures of our last family event that I will cherish forever. Chris in an amazing photographer and an authentic person. You can’t go wrong with The Story Photography.

We are SO happy that we went with The Story Photography for our wedding photographer! Chris was extremely responsive, often times replying to my messages within minutes. He also took the time to get to know us and what kind of pictures we were looking for. Both he and the second photographer he brought with him, Jessica, were very laid back and fun to work with, and the pictures they took were all absolutely stunning. And this was no easy feat because typically my husband and I are goofy and not very photogenic, but Chris gave us a lot of advice on how to pose and the pictures came out amazing! I also couldn't believe how quickly he sent me the online gallery - we had hundreds and hundreds of pictures within two weeks of our wedding. I highly recommend The Story Photography!!

The very first time my husband and I saw the website for The Story Photography, we knew that Chris was the right wedding photographer for us. The couples in his pictures looked as comfortable and happy as we hoped we would be on our wedding day. You could just tell that he was capturing real emotion, not just in the wedding party but in all of the guests. We probably had the highest possible expectations of Chris, and he did not disappoint!

Chris is a professional, experienced, and talented wedding photographer with an amazing eye for special moments. He’s also a great guy... and possibly a ninja. He got pictures of moments even WE had never witnessed. He practically clambered into a lake to get a stunning long shot for our portraits. The man literally chased us down on the highway after the ceremony so that he and his co-photographer, Heather (also amazing), could get a picture of us in the back of our getaway car. And he was completely friendly, efficient, and unobtrusive the whole time. I think our day actually ran more smoothly because he was there to guide us effortlessly through it all.

Nor are rumors of Chris’s turnaround exaggerated. He wrote back to most of our emails within minutes. He once actually apologized for a reply that had been “delayed” by a few hours because, and I quote, “I just got in from photographing another event this evening.” He got us our engagement pictures only 3 days after the shoot, and we had ALL of our fully edited wedding pictures within 10 DAYS of the wedding. Not to mention, he’d photographed two other weddings just on our wedding weekend!!

Having run on for far too long, I haven’t said nearly enough, so I’ll just say this. Chris will give you wedding photos that you’ll treasure lifelong, so beautiful and touching that your descendants will want to hang them on their walls. If that’s something you want, choose The Story Photography. End of story.

Chris is the best!! I thought I would have regretted not getting a videographer to capture all of the moments but once I saw all of the pictures Chris took I was amazed at the story they told of my entire wedding day! He truly captured every single moment and I am forever grateful for that! Chris was amazing to deal with throughout the planning process. He provided me with all of the photos shortly after the wedding so I was able to enjoy looking at all of them on the honeymoon. I can't say enough positive things about Chris.

As cliche as this sounds, Chris 100% captured the most beautiful day of our lives. His professionalism, easy going manner and ability to just know the perfect picture really made it so easy for us. We can't thank Chris enough for documenting every single moment of our wedding. I'm still in awe that we not only have sooooo many beautiful portrait pictures but also how Chris captured every single crazy, funny and loving moment from that day. Chris Szulwach, the Story Photography, will be our photographer for life. You will be inundated with reviews, and portfolios and fret over who one to choose. Relax. You found him. There are so many great photographers, no doubt. You want a photographer that will capture the essence of you, your love, and all the special moments that might go unnoticed, or become a forgotten memory if not captured on camera. Chris will capture them. There is so much happening on the big day that's it's impossible to see and absorb everything as it happens. You want photos you can proudly share far and wide, in cyber space, and on your wall space. You will get those, but you will also get a photographer who is extremely responsive, who will listen to your ideas and help make your vision a reality. Who will literally walk waist deep in a lake to capture a moment you envision. The only problem I have now is the long list of events I want him to capture for us. I wish we could bring him on our honeymoon!

Chris is excellent! EXTREMELY RESPONSIVE!! Not enough words to explain how awesome it is to send a message out to a vendor and have a near immediate response. And he follows up too if he doesn't hear from you, which is extremely key for someone like me who tends to procrastinate and was sooo disorganized when it came to planning my wedding... I was changing plans for pictures literally the day before my wedding and Chris was just like, "Ok no problem, changes made!" He is easy-going and excellent at what he does. My wedding photos are awesome, he caught SO MANY amazing candid moments, and so much of the laughter/fun that went on that day. I don't even know how we have so many different views of our first dance, between Chris and the 2nd photographer they literally hit every single angle possible! It's incredible. And our formal portraits are great too but I stupidly wanted to rush through all the posed group photos and family photos to get to the cocktail hour and the "fun", and he did exactly what I asked for, and now my only regret is not slowing down instead and getting a few more portraits/group shots! I have nearly 1000 amazing photos, and now I want even more haha, that's how great my photos are. And lastly, Chris is the definition of the word EFFICIENT. He had all of our wedding photos edited and uploaded to a link for us to view just 2 weeks after our wedding day, and he posts sneak peeks on his blog within days of the event. I have no idea where he finds the time. It took me 3 months just to sort through and post my favorite pics on Facebook! Overall, you're in great hands with Chris. He's everywhere at your wedding and yet you have no idea he's there. There are so many pictures but I genuinely don't remember seeing him outside of the formal portraits. He's like a photo ninja. Thanks again Chris for the excellent work!

Chris is absolutely fantastic!! He captures your entire day and other than the pre-ceremony photos, you would never know he is there and you are just in shock as you go through your photos wondering how he did it!!! I am in love with my wedding and engagement photos and would recommend Chris to anyone. Knowing that I will have these memories forever makes my heart swell with joy. The quality Chris provides in the photos is unbelievable. His photos help me relive the best day of my life every time I look at them :) which is quite often! Chris is extremely flexible and really does put you first for your big day. I never felt like he didn't want to be there or that he was rushing to finish at the end. He is passionate about what he does and you can just see it on his face when he gets that "great shot" how excited he is and just can't wait to show you. Chris was an absolute PLEASURE to work with. I can not say it enough. He came to Cape Cod all the way from NY to shoot our wedding. And he completely worked around our budget and our preferences. We are both more on the shy side when it comes to being photographed, Chris made us feel so comfortable and we felt at the end of the day that we had not only found a great photographer- but also a friend. The photos are another EXCEPTIONAL thing from Chris. From the engagement shoot to the wedding day pictures- I was blown away with his vision and the way he captured our special day. We wanted the portraits to be mostly candids and not take much time away from the wedding- Chris was amazing at creating a timeline so that we were able to make our cocktail hour. Chris is an exceptionally professional, talented, and diligent photographer. Our wedding was on a Saturday in June and preview photos were posted the next day and we received our entire digital album on that following Thursday.

Chris made everyone feel comfortable and at ease as he worked and took unique and beautiful shots that truly captured "us" and our family. The happy tears, the smiles, and kids laughing are all now beautiful memories we will have for a lifetime. My husband and our family have been raving over every photo.

I cannot stress enough that if you're looking for a photographer, you've found him! The Costello's cannot thank you enough for these treasures!

Chris perfectly captured our wedding day and engagement. He was easily accessible and quickly responded to all of our emails. His turnaround time is awesome- he got our photos to us less about three days after the wedding! He has a calming presence, helping us relax in front if the camera and making us laugh. Also, when some of my family didn't show on time for photos before the ceremony, he was incredibly flexible and made the situation work to make sure we got our shots. More than anything, Chris took the time to get to know us and helped tell our story through his work.

Our friends and family cannot stop raving about how beautiful the photos are. He has a really incredible eye for great shots and works hard to capture all the candid, meaningful moments. In looking back at our pictures, anyone can see the emotion from our day.

Chris is very nice and he has a very impressive turn around time. He always replies emails promptly. That's very important when you are stressed during wedding preparation!

He's very organized and patient. We revised the wedding day timeline several times.

Picking The Story Photography was one of the best decisions we made when planning our wedding. We didn’t quite know what we were looking for when choosing a photographer. In the end we went for someone who we felt a connection with (after all you will spend much of your day with your photographer), liked their style of photography/quality and was responsive to inquiries. Chris is an absolute professional and very good at what he does. His technical skills are excellent and he was able to capture all of the special and subtle moments from our wedding day. He was very easy to work with - organized, experienced, responsive and an overall nice guy. We were so happy with the pictures and are reliving the entire wedding through his gorgeous pictures that were available shortly after the wedding. I highly recommend The Story Photography!

We were a little nervous as we had a mixed culture wedding (Pakistani & American). But Chris took all the worries away and did an amazing job!! He worked well with us before and during the wedding and was great dealing with our very vocal guests! The photos came out amazing and he had a perfect sight for what we were looking for! Chris was absolutely fantastic! He is an amazing person with such a huge talent. He really captures all of the important pieces in the wedding without you even telling him. We had the best experience working with Chris for our wedding in early August. We looked at dozens of photographers online before deciding to go with Chris. After the fact, I am really glad that we did. Chris was really proactive about sending us information and asking us questions about what we wanted photography-wise before the event. This allowed us to ask our families ahead of time about what pictures they wanted and make plans to communicate to everyone where they should be and when. Both the candids and the portraits Chris captured were beautiful, and he was super fast about getting them to us -- within a few weeks (I know other couples that had to wait 4 months before any pictures were ready from other photographers). He is a very nice guy, professional, and I can't recommend him more.

Chris was amazing! We picked a package that included engagement pictures and a second photographer for our wedding day. Our engagement pictures were beautiful and our wedding day pictures were absolutely stunning! Chris is a complete professional and was great at responding to emails and questions. Then his photography just speaks for itself. We have so many beautiful memories to last a lifetime!! He also does a blog post after both engagement and wedding day photos so you get a little sneak peak a day or two after. Then I was shocked at how fast he had the rest of the pictures ready, especially the wedding (<2weeks!). You won't regret it if you choose him as your wedding photographer!

I highly recommend Chris - he was very professional, patient, creative, and absolutely invisible during the wedding. From the very first meeting with Chris at The Story Photography, almost 1.5 years before our wedding date, we knew we wanted to book him for our special day. We had a very certain aesthetic we wanted captured in our photography, not just focus on posed group portraits that take forever and are uncomfortable for most. As we looked through examples of Chris's work, we noted how his pictures almost seemed like stills from a movie. Needless to say, we booked him as soon as we could. We got our pictures this past weekend (1 week after our wedding!) and they are absolutely perfect.
By Chris partnering with our DJ, they came up with a great timeline for the day that included cocktail hour first, bridal part portraits, quick family portraits, and amazing pics of our reception. As we thought we might be uncomfortable being posed, Chris made sure those parts moved quickly, and he was able to photograph many candid shots of our family and friends celebrating, which we loved!
Going into the day, we were 100% wanting most to have shots taken of us during "the magic hour". The weather did not cooperate, which was very disappointing. Chris took us out near the lake and venues fire pit at night, and the shots we captures more than made up for mother nature not letting us get what we want.

Highly recommend Chris! He has amazing talent and is such a pleasure to work with! He captures the joy in moments so well, including those little moments that are easy to miss. He pays attention to all the little details and has so many creative and unique ideas, while making sure to capture all of the moments you request. Every time I had a question or reached out to him, I couldn't believe how quick he was to respond. We even received our photos and albums much earlier than we expected (both great surprises!). Makes such a huge difference especially when it comes close to the big day and you're trying to organize everything and not add to your already existing stress. We are so in love with our wedding photos and have received so many compliments. Well worth the money and easily one of the best decisions we made to work with Chris. Great quality and an amazing eye. Whenever we look through our gorgeous album, we find another picture to love and it brings tears to our eyes every time. His name is so true to the "product" you will receive, a beautiful collection of your special day from beginning to end that you will treasure forever.

My husband and I could not be more happy to have had Chris and the Story Photography as part of our wedding. We planned our Upstate New York wedding from Washington, DC, and Chris was incredibly helpful and responsive over the long distance. Emails were always responded to within hours, and he was eager to find out exactly what we were looking for in our wedding photos. We had a skype date to get to know him and make sure it was a good fit a few days after first contacting him. Soon afterward we scheduled an engagement photo session for when we would be in the area and his dedication was clear from his trekking and crawling through the snow just to get the right shots.

He and the second photographer, Alice, were super low-key, patient, and good-humored the day of the wedding and were able to give good instructions without being bossy or overbearing in any way. As mentioned by many other reviews, the team was very efficient and the formal family photos went by very quickly. We’ve attended and been a part of weddings where the formal photos sucked up a bunch of time but Chris and team worked very fast. Most importantly, the photos were absolutely beautiful and we browse them almost daily. The formal pictures came out great which tends to please the older relatives but Chris really excels with the candid photos throughout the day. I’m pretty sure every guest was in at least a few photos. The photo books were equally gorgeous.

He captured all of the details and people from our special day with the keen eye of a true artist and could not have been more helpful, pleasant, and calming to work with. We heard from so many guests that couldn’t believe how amazing the photos were, and some even requested copies to be used for their holiday card photo. Book as soon as you can as we’re sure Chris will only get busier and busier!

Chris from the story is absolutely amazing! He finds the best shots and can turn the simplest shots into something amazing! He is always available and responds immediatly! Hire Christopher with The Story Photography if you'd like almost every wedding guest to comment to you about how nice and how professional he is throughout the weekend. He worked with the venue and the florist seamlessly - he was enjoyed by everyone.

But then the kicker. I have friends my age who have been married for a few years. They have told me they're retroactively upset that their photographer wasn't as efficient and EXCELLENT as ours was. The photo gallery was up so quickly after the wedding and the photos are AMAZING. He captured so many moments, and just the general quality of the photographs is superb. Also, his website and the online resources he uses for payment and for sharing pictures is great. He writes a blog post for every engagement session and wedding that you can share with all your family and friends, and it's done within a few days of the shoot.

Seriously, Chris was one of the best decisions we made when planning the wedding.

Chris did a great job capturing every important moment of our wedding day. We got our photos from Chris less than 1 week after our wedding and they are so gorgeous. We are so pleased to see how amazing many of these photos turned out and I got so many complements from my friends. I must add that Chris is very friendly and professional. So you can just trust him and follow his suggestions, but he is also willing to listen and take the photos that you want to take. I highly recommend him!

I first heard of The Story Photography through sites much like this one, and eventually realized Chris had done a number of weddings for former classmates or friends of mine. Everyone I talked to had wonderful things to say, and when we met for our engagement session I immediately understood why.

He helped us feel at ease with the inevitable awkwardness, and traipsed around a park with us for two hours to get all the perfect shots. Our pictures turned out amazing - perfectly done without being "over-done" and having a photo-shoppy look like I had seen with many other photographers.

Chris was extremely responsive throughout the entire wedding planning process, he was very organized and understanding of our needs. Our wedding and engagement session both took place outside of Syracuse; Chris was extremely flexible with this which was very important to me.

On wedding day he was patient and kind, a necessity for a bride on wedding day. He was always right there where I expected him to be, capturing all the moments of our day. His second photographer was also very talented and had a great personality. I truely enjoyed having them with us on our special day.

I was shocked at how quickly he got our photos to us. I love Chris's blogs, which he gets up usually within a day or two that showcase highlighted pictures (usually ~10 or so) of an event. Its not uncommon for brides to wait months to receive their photos- we had our entire collection online in less than a week and the printed album in less than a month.

Chris' photography is turely pure talent. He knows the lighting & the angles to get the perfect shot everytime. So many of our pictures look straight out of a magazine - I cant remember how many people commented on how beautifully done the photography was.

If you're looking for the best photographer in the Upstate NY region, look no further.

Chris captured every moment of our wedding day - perfectly. He made sure to capture every moment that we would want to remember. Our pictures looked gorgeous. He made sure to instruct everyone on what to do to make sure the photos turned out great!! The pictures from our ceremony and reception were amazing - and no one even noticed that Chris and Alice were there!
I also have to mention how gorgeous our engagement pictures were - we did our engagement pictures at Green Lakes on the morning of Christmas Eve. They were amazing!!

Chris really dove into our wedding in a beautiful way. He was willing to arrive by boat and photograph on all sorts of terrains. He truly got to know our story and was excellent at documenting the details including the history of our family in our old family home and boats. Chris was really fantastic throughout the entire wedding planning process. He is very proactive and was always in touch with me about various details. For example, he started a pinterest board for us with ideas for poses. I was super impressed by this!

With some other vendors, I had to chase after them to get information. Chris was definitely NOT like this! He responds to email very quickly-- usually within an hour! Chris has a very calming personality, which is ideal on such a crazy day like your wedding. Last not but not least-- his photos are beautiful! His style is unique from some other photographers-- his photos come out with vivid colors, lots of contrast, and he captures tons of awesome candids. He captured our day beautifully.

I definitely recommend Chris at The Story Photography! He was very helpful from our first meeting, to getting our photos and album to us after the wedding. He gave great advice during the process and does amazing photographs! We loved all our engagement photos, and all the photos from our wedding day. He captured all the moments I was hoping for and more, and gave us such a great variety in them. A friend of mine had The Story Photography do her wedding and once I saw her pictures, I knew that was who I wanted for my own someday! Shortly after, I did get engaged and met with the owner right away, he was extremely friendly, genuine, and honest. I never looked at any other photographer! My wedding has since come and gone but the pictures I will have forever are amazing. The Story Photography captures all of the littlest moments that mean the most - the bountiful laughs during speeches, the intimate hugs with grandparents, the sentimental facial expressions during the vows and first dance... the list goes on and on. I cannot say enough how thankful I am to Chris for the amazing work he did as our photographer at our wedding. Any email I sent was answered promptly and professionally, every question I had was answered in full. Chris was not recommended to me by anyone. I looked online at different photographers and reviewed the style and price and I kept coming back to The Story’s website. I simply just liked the pictures he took. We meet up with Chris prior to booking and enjoyed his personality however I had one concern, he seemed to quiet for a photographer. I knew we were going to have a huge wedding party so I wanted to have a person who was assertive. I reached out to one of his brides through Facebook to see if they could help address my concern to which they did.
Prior to the wedding Chris started following me on Pinterest which I appreciated because after I got the pictures at I was like “wow, I pinned a similar picture”. Chris was very responsive to any email I sent leading up to the wedding which was greatly appreciated because I heard horror stories about how other photographers only cared about the bride the week of their wedding. I was also looking at pictures friends took at the wedding and in the background there was Chris on the ground trying to get that perfect shot. Even though I showed up a later to my house then expected, Chris was there ready and waiting and even got there early to get a bunch of “detail” pictures out of the way. He was even as helpful as bringing the rings to the church! He made sure I was able to get every picture I wanted in and never made me feel bad about wanting so many different pictures. Pretty much every single person I talked to after the wedding said that how much they loved my pictures. The emotion capture by Chris was timeless. If I had to do it all over again I would pick Chris again and would recommend him to anyone considering using him. I can’t wait for Chris to capture the other major moments in our lives.

I absolutely love working with Chris from The Story Photography. Let me first start off by saying that Chris is awesome! Not only is he passionate about photography, he's really down to earth and super easy going! In college, I minored in art and took a few photography classes (and still practicing photography in my free time), so I was really picky when it comes to choosing a good photographer for our big day. We booked Chris because I really loved the quality of his work, his professionalism, and fabulous personality -- I loved Chris back then and I love him even more now! Choosing Chris to capture our special day was one of the best decisions I have made. With as busy a schedule as Chris keeps, he manages to always respond promptly to my questions and emails. Chris took the time to keep track of my Pinterest pin boards to become familiar with the photography styles that I like. He cares deeply about capturing that special memory that we want to create, and he captures it so effortlessly, without been at all intrusive to us or our guests. When we looked at our pictures after the wedding, we were surprised at how many candid photos Chris was able to capture, without us realizing that he was even there! Chris got photos of every little detail that we wanted, as well as of several things that we didn't plan for, even some that we didn't even know had happened. It all went by so fast, but somehow, he managed to capture all the key moments of the day. I feel like he really showed my wedding, as it was, in the best possible light. Chris went above and beyond what we hoped for. After all the planning, it is such a relief to have such great memories to look back to. It is very rare where I can say with 100% certainty that I am happy with a vendors service, class, responsiveness, thoughtfulness & overall TALENT! After the wedding, my husband & I first received some "teaser" photos on Facebook both of our open photo booth & a blog with photos from the wedding. I was so pleased & overjoyed with the results, I could hardly wait to see the rest! When we received the zip drive, it came in a very classy package personally engraved with "The Story Photography," a personal note from Chris, & a few photos on foam board. Since we do not live locally in Syracuse, we conducted all of our photographer meetings via telephone. When we spoke with Chris, he was laid back & so much less pushy than the other photographers. I could tell in his personality that he just does not stress about much ... which is VERY helpful on your wedding day when everyone's stress is at max capacity. Chris first came to take pictures while I was getting ready at the Hotel, which he waited so graciously while my hair appointment took a bit longer than we originally anticipated. His photographer assistant, Alice took pictures of the boys at our parents’ house. Both worked quickly & were not afraid to ask to try different poses or make different suggestions for better results. Chris is honestly an extremely talented photographer! Our pictures turned out absolutely beautiful & unique. When I show them to family, friends & co-workers, everyone is amazed by how beautiful they came out. In addition to his eye for photography, he is very kind and thoughtful. My only regret after the wedding would be to personally thank him in person one more time for all of his kindness and patience. At the end of the wedding night, he said such a nice goodbye & I feel like I didn't take another moment to just say... thank you so much for everything you did today. Chris is the absolute best around. From the first time I saw his work I knew I really liked his style and then once I began corresponding with him I was happy to find I really liked him as a a person as well. He was happy to answer my myriad of questions and went the extra mile to keep track of my wedding board on pinterest so he could get a sense of my bridal style.
On the actual wedding day he and his assistant were incredibly laid back and so very nice. I loved that even our posed pictures felt effortless. Having seen some of the final product I can only assume there is some kind of magic involved because we all look far more glamorous than we do in real life and nothing awkward or extrvagent was needed to get the shots. I grew up with an old school photographer who was all about the hyper-posed shots so I was extra happy about Chris's relaxed nature.
I felt like he was able to capture my husband and I as we really are while making us look like something straight from the pages of "Town and Country Weddings".

Chris was great! The price was great, the pictures were plentiful and beautiful, and he was such a nice person to have with us on our big day! I would definitely hire him again when we are in need of a photographer. I would definitely recommend this company to others.

Chris was absolutely amazing to work with. I was an out of town bride and his online capabilities were some of the best I've seen. From payments to imputing picture information. It was super easy! He's quick to respond to any questions you could have.

And not to forget, OUR PICTURES WERE BEAUTIFUL! He did a great job in capturing our day. I loved them all!

I had a great experience working with Chris. Everyone around me at the wedding was also constantly telling me how much they were enjoying working with this photographer. He takes great photographs, and charges a reasonable price. One of the best aspects of Chris is that he isn't pushy and he doesn't get in anyone's way. I didn't even realize that he was there half the time, and yet he captured every moment.
