Pratt Place Barn
We had a large family Christmas party and the Barn was perfect for us. Great atmosphere and the staff support was great too. We will definitely go back! -

Personal service
The entire staff at Pratt Place Inn was silently involved in making the wedding perfection. They never interrupted, however we had everything available before we knew we needed it. They are professionals and extremely kind and patient. We absolutely loved being there and highly recommended for any event. -

Wedding and reception
Wonderful to work with. They have a wide range of referral options. The staff was very helpful and went above and beyond to make our day amazing. We stayed the night and I highly recommend it. The rooms are so beyond amazing. Breakfast delivered in the morning was a sweet personal touch. -

We booked this venue more than a year out of our wedding date and although some staff changing occurred the venue still remained professional and assisted with everything we asked and needed from them even up to a week after our event.
Jeremy, Garrett, Danny and Caitlin were all very professional and super helpful. -

I am getting married there but live out of state and their pictures, responsiveness and going the extra mile have made them simply the best! And, they offer table and chairs rentals so I don't have to find vendors for that as well. -

We reserved and booked everything we needed from them, and then they went above and beyond to give us more, more, more! At no additional charge! I definitely recommend using this place fore ANY event you choose. Sharon

Megan Sent on 10/28/2009The Pratt Place Inn & Barn was the perfect venue for our ceremony and reception! They even let me come up to the Inn before the wedding took place to take some bridal shots and allowed me to use one of the empty guest rooms to change in. They also allowed my bridesmaids and I to get ready in one of the rooms on the wedding day and to take pictures in the Inn before the ceremony. The boys were able to get ready downstairs before it started as well. The Inn Keepers are super helpful, and the owners of the property are spectacular to work with! We have become great friends with the owners, and I would recommend the barn or inn to anyone planning a wedding. Our wedding theme was fall, with leaves and twigs everywhere, and the barn was the perfect location for such a wedding. There is lots of room for parking, and our guests really enjoyed the wedding and atmosphere. Bathrooms are located inside the barn, and there are also several kitchens for catering and hiding those extra decorations and such. The location doubles as a reception site as well. Also amazing is the fact that 20 tables and 120 chairs are included in the rental fee. A+++ You have to have your wedding here! -

Pratt Place is well known for its Barn, but I chose an intimate ceremony and reception at the Cottage. I wouldn't change a thing about the space. There was plenty of room in the front yard for an outdoor ceremony (I had around 50 guests), and the house provided so much character, we hardly had to do any decorating. I would definitely recommend this space for other brides! -

User1106973 Sent on 03/11/2013This venue was gorgeous! The staff was so helpful in accommodating mine and my family's needs! We were able to relax on the wedding weekend and not stress at all by having everyone in one location (at the Inn). I highly recommend it. It made for a beautiful wedding in the barn and for beautiful wedding party photos as well! We also had the wedding in winter and the barn's heating was perfect. -

Rachael Sent on 12/15/2016AVOID PRATT PLACE INN. The previous owners but the new management is completely incompetent. Upon arriving to the Inn, they wouldn’t let me check-in because they said that I hadn’t paid yet, when the original owners told me that I had to pay upon reserving each room because it was a football weekend. I couldn’t get them to help with getting Internet access to check the bank information because ‘I wasn’t staying there.’ They finally let me into my room so I could put my wedding dress, etc. up after my husband gave them his card and said that he would cover it. They asked my whole family for payment, so my grandmother and mom ended up giving them their cards too EVEN THOUGH HE HAD ALREADY GIVEN THEM HIS CARD. They harassed everyone on my rehearsal wedding day, my wedding day, and after for payments even though it had already been taken care of. THEN after everyone got home, they charged my mother for two rooms, when it should have been one. They charged my grandmother for four when they should have charged her for only one. They tried to charge me double what they had quoted me in the reservation that I had made with the original owners. They promised a rollaway to my family from England, as they do to all of their guests and they did not deliver. The bathroom of my mom’s room became locked from the inside at one point, locking her out of all of her essentials to get ready for the wedding on the day of because they didn’t have a key to it! I had phone calls on my honeymoon from crying family members because they had each been overcharged and they were near over drafting. I had to write them two e-mails on my honeymoon, the week that I got back [THANKSGIVING] and over a month later it is STILL NOT RESOLVED. I have yet to receive my security deposit of $500. They were impossible to work with and the inn keeper, Grace was incredibly rude the entire wedding weekend. -
User2066728 Sent on 03/14/2015I have lamented the fact that I did not look at more reviews last year prior to booking the Barn for my daughter's wedding; maybe it would have saved us a lot of heartache, anguish and disappointment throughout 2014, hindsight is 20-20! So, for those of you looking to rent the Barn for your loved one's wedding or other event, PLEASE heed this review! Be careful, be very, very careful! We rented the Barn in January 2014 for a 12/31/2014 wedding. From the beginning we had several issues: 1) In our initial meeting, several things we were told, changed later, for which we told we must have "misunderstood". In our opinion, there was no misunderstanding! 2) One of our payments (a check for $800.00) was lost, in which we were told it must have been stolen in the mail and to simply write another check! Keep in mind, I actually hand-delivered the payment to the Inn, received a written receipt and received an emailed receipt AND they were not even aware of the lost check until I asked them why it had not been deposited because it had not cleared my bank account! Maybe this is one of the many reasons they had to file for BANKRUPTCY January 15, 2015!
3) After reserving the Barn in March for a "walk-through" rehearsal and paying the $100.00 to do so, my daughter was left a message on her phone in August, stating that the Barn had been rented for another event and that we would not be able to do our rehearsal in the Barn! She was NOT told that this was a possibility at the time of making the reservation! At the very least, in our opinion, they should have offered us the site at full price before booking another event-VERY BAD business practice! Unfortunately, I do not have room in this review to list other issues we had...but if you are considering Pratt Place for your event, I sincerely and whole-heartedly caution you! I will NOT ever recommend Pratt Place Barn to anyone and please remember, that they did file for Chapter 11 BANKRUPTCY January 15, 2015!
