Candace's team is fantastic, we worked mostly with Kelly and Maria, both of whom were so communicative and kind. The food was AMAZING, everyone said it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding and I fully agree (we had the braised short ribs, you should definitely try it). The bartenders were great! The venue is absolutely beautiful, we didn't end up bringing any florals or extra decor besides table settings because the courtyard looks so lovely. We honestly felt so lucky to find such a gem of a wedding venue in the middle of downtown Tucson. Highly recommend.

What a gorgeous venue!! I had the pleasure of playing violin at a wedding here and just loved it here! It is such a gorgeous outdoor/indoor wedding with so many options. It’s super cozy and has such a woodsy feel which is perfect for the classy, rustic wedding. Can’t wait to come back for the next one!!

As parents of the bride, we can’t thank Candace, Wilma, and the entire Stillwell House staff enough for providing a fairytale wedding for their hometown girl. Clients should not be tempted to decorate the venue; everything is already perfectly and elegantly dressed, from the exterior courtyard to the Bride’s and Groom’s Dressing Rooms. The Stillwell House Team has anticipated every detail including a gift and card hutch and even an exquisite wedding cake knife. The menu is extensive and includes locally-sourced and regional flavors from a trusted family with deep culinary roots in Tucson. Dinner for 135 people, served hot and simultaneously, is no easy feat. Kudos to the wait staff and professional bartender as well.

This team truly made our wedding day go seamlessly. If there were any issues, we had no idea. They made sure we had drinks and had a taste of our appetizers. They coordinated and decorated and were fantastic. Every guest said the place looked beautiful and the best wedding they attended.

The Stillwell House gave me the wedding of my dreams and took it to the next level! Maria from the stillwell house made sure that my look of my wedding was absolutely beautiful and asked me about the smallest details that I would have never thought of until it was too late 😂 I knew she had it all covered and I could relax and get ready to get married! Jennifer was a day of coordinator and let me know everything I needed to properly manage our time for the wedding. The quality of the food was incredible, the venue was gorgeous, staff amazing and all of our guests had the best time. They took many precautions to ensure that we were covid safe and let us know in advance what restrictions needed to be met to be in compliance and ensure our guests safety. I really appreciated this! Overall, not a single complaint, only the best compliments!!!

This is such a hidden gem in Tucson with all the great personal touches you could dream of! All the team at The Stillwell House is so easy to work with and made the planning process a dream (especially when planning from out of state). We got so many compliments on the atmosphere, food, and friendly services. This was the best "bang-for-your-buck" venue without ANY compromise in quality! I would HIGHLY recommend this venue to family, friends, and would use again in the future for an event!

I can not say enough good things about the Stillwell House and their staff, Wilma especially. She made our day come true, and every one of our guests absolutely loved the site. They provide catering and the food was exceptional. I suggest the chicken nopalitos, it was an extremely beautiful plate and tasted delicious.

The best venue! This was our first pick and we are so happy we went with Stillwell! We were married 4/26 and our guests STILL can’t stop talking about how beautiful and intimate this venue was. The layout is perfect and the garden is stunning with the lights at night. Highly recommend to anyone looking to get married in Downtown Tucson! It was a huge hit and we didn’t regret it one bit !

Booking Stillwell House and Garden as our reception venue was the best decision I made for our wedding. The team here is amazing, patient and kind. I booked very far in advance and they helped walk me through the process of what to expect and were very helpful. I really wanted an outdoor wedding venue because we had so many visiting guests that are from the Midwest and dining outside at stillwell was amazing and beautiful. We received so many compliments from our guests. The menu options here are the best that I saw in comparison to other venues, a great value and the food was DELICIOUS! The team setup all of my decor better than I imagined and were incredibly helpful and organized with returning all my decor and pulling it all together for me to take home after the wedding. This is a wonderful venue, everything here is beautiful and there are multiple spaces in case weather doesn’t go your way, you can also bring your own alcohol to supply at the wedding which was a great value. We couldn’t be happier booking here, it’s an awesome location in the heart of Downtown tucson and our guests enjoyed everything.

We've been looking for a venue for a while and at first had no luck. We heard from a friend about Stillwell House and decided to visit. We fell in love from the very beginning. The space is beautiful. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and kind making our experience that much better. The space has a lot of potential and well taken care of.

Choosing the Stillwell House for our wedding was one of the best decisions that we made. It is in the heart of Tucson yet still has a home and garden feeling. The venue itself has three different beautiful environments and we were able to use all three: outside garden area, the cantina/bar/dance floor, and the historic home where we ate the reception meal (this was not our first choice, but it turned out beautiful to eat inside and we are SO glad we did!). One of the biggest things that our guests complimented us on was how good the food was at the Stillwell House. Candace, Wilma and Kelly were all very attentive and helpful. We had a few unexpected external issues that arose and the Stillwell team was very accommodating to navigate these issues ensuring that our day remained special and that everything ran smoothly. We highly recommend the Stillwell house for any wedding.

My wedding was beautiful and perfect at the Stillwell House. They did amazing on everything and it turned out incredible. The staff was so friendly and helpful throughout the entire process, especially on the wedding day.

Stillwell House was a perfect choice for our wedding. The staff there was very comforting, informative, and worked extremely hard to make our day run smoothly. Wilma was our manager for rehearsal, and the wedding day, and ran it so efficiently and professionally. My groom and I had a blast, and felt that we couldn’t have asked for a more seamless event. Beyond that, the guests enjoyed the beautiful courtyard, and delicious food.

I can not recommend Stillwell House enough. The prices are reasonable, the food is amazing, and they will set up and take down your decor if you bring it for them. It is absolutely beautiful, and the staff was wonderful. We had so many compliments from our guests about how beautiful the venue was, and how delicious the food was!! Having our wedding reception at Stillwell House was one of the best decisions we have ever made! Not only was it affordable but it was absolutely gorgeous and the food was delicious! Candace, Kelly and Wilma were so great to work with and they helped make our big day run so smoothly. We got sooo many compliments on the ambiance and set up of the Stillwell House, and of course, the food. Our guests were in awe at the beauty of the garden- the lights, flowers. I loved how in one venue we got 3 different atmospheres (the house, the outside garden area and the cantina). We would not have changed a thing! The Stillwell house is not only a beautiful venue, but the staff is amazing! Everyone we worked with was great! Specifically Wilma and Kelly. They listened to us and answered all our questions. Stillwell House and Garden was amazing. I have no regrets choosing them for our wedding venue. The venue itself is beautiful, from the main house to the courtyard. The value was amazing! They provide linens, tables, beautiful decorations, and the in-house catering gives you one less thing to worry about, and it's an amazing deal. Wilma was an amazing coordinator, and made our wedding run incredibly smoothly. The icing on the cake: all of our guests told us that ours was the best, and most beautiful wedding they had ever been to, and I'd like to think that's all due to the Stillwell House.

The Stillwell House provides a unique downtown Tucson setting that is versatile for small or large weddings. Our wedding size was close to 100 and the space was more than adequate to hold an intimate ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Wilma and Katie were very easy to work with and very responsive. They covered everything with us on multiple occasions and made sure we did not miss a single detail. We knew it was a great venue when we choose it but we were over joyed with how it all turned out and the professionalism of the whole team.

Beautiful setting with no additional decor needed. Well organized, the staff knows exactly what they are doing and do it well. My guests enjoyed themselves and we relaxed. All of the staff were gracious and responsive to all needs. Details are their specialty.

Incredible venue!! Everyone there was so nice and helpful. They were constantly reaching out to us to make sure we stayed on time with planning. We truly couldn't have been happier with using The Stillwell House for our wedding day. They are so organized and work with you to make sure your wedding is everything you want it to be. Sometimes they're a little quick and to the point, but that's because they've done weddings so many times that they just have it down to a science. So, don't be afraid to ask questions and really just go with the flow! They will make sure your event is perfect just like ours was. Everything about the venue is dreamy and romantic. Not to mention the food was so scrumptious. I could eat there every day for the rest of my life and be a happy girl. That not a very common trait for a wedding venue. So, I do highly recommend these ladies and this venue!

Stillwell House is the 'complete package'. They truly do it all for you. We brought all our decorations to the rehersal and gave a list of what went where and it was done for us. Food was wonderful, staff professional, venue just beautiful!! Wilma is a gem and so very helpful!

OMG I LOVED my venue!!! This place is pure perfection, the women running it were so professional and took care of everything for me. I brought all my decorations and supplies at the Rehearsal and when I showed up the next day, everything was already decorated. In addition, they packed everything back up for us when we left too. It was so nice to have my bridal party and family just enjoy the day and no one had to work or stress out. Also, we booked off season so we got a great price, the food was delicious and the waitstaff were fast and friendly. The Stillwell House is fully decorated too which saved us a ton of money on decorations and our photos all turned out print worthy. Thanks Stillwell House!

Our wedding was absolutely perfect! I cannot find enough words to properly describe how amazing Wilma and her staff are. Wilma pays close attention to each and every single detail that all II had left to do was enjoy my wedding day with my husband. Wilma was so easy to work with and planning was easier than I ever expected it to be! Everyone had an amazing time and everything went perfectly, I didn't have to worry about anything. We have a family friend who is a musician at many weddings each year and she thought Stillwell was one of the most beautiful venues she's been to. Also, the value is amazing! We paid much less than similar venues in Tucson and the quality was much higher than those venues.

We hosted out reception at the Stillwell House, and it ROCKED!!! The Stillwell House was an amazingly beautiful venue so we did not have to decorate, the staff was professional & courteous, responsive, and tended to my every need. We love love the Stillwell House here inTucson! We could not have found a more perfect place to have our wedding!! It fit exactly who we are & the style we love!! It's a perfect mixture of Tucson old Spanish/Latin style with an urban feel and style! The night was incredible & magical with it being outdoors and the way the Stillwell staff keeps and maintains their venue & grounds & the detail of the decor, from the plants to lights to furniture, it was for us the most romantic setting you could ask for!! This place makes it affordable to have a wedding, which is why I give it a perfect everything, the beauty of the place & the price a perfect yes with no hesitation! The food was phenomenal per all our guests and we agree! I just wish I could eat my whole plate, didn't want to stuff myself that night. Thank you to the Stillwell & all the staff! We just had our wedding at the Stillwell House on 12/18/11 and could not be happier!! We found that we received a tremendous value for our money, and the fact that so much was included (venue, food, facilities, centerpieces, and more) was a major stress reliever. The actual venue is beautiful and we were so happy we were able to utilize the entire property. The cantina was a blast for cocktail hour and for the party, the house itself was a great area for dinner, and the courtyard was perfect for our ceremony. There's a timeless quality to the venue and we had dozens of guests who kept raving about it to us.

A special shout out to Wilma and her staff, especially to Kyle. Wilma was very patient with us and especially went out of her way to make our day go well (such as personally setting up our sweetheart table and for managing a weather-threatened ceremony). Kyle was on top of everything all day and we were blown away by how great he was - he was everywhere from hosting a raucous bar to making sure we were tended to at all times. Everyone that worked there was extremely professional, worked very hard, and were courteous to all of our guests. The food was terrific and everyone had a blast! We highly recommend the Stillwell House to anyone interested.

I have nothing but wonderful memories from our wedding reception at the Stillwell house. I worked for the most part with Candace during the year of planning, but Wilma was a delight to work with the day of the wedding. My family and I planned and organized every aspect of the wedding down to making the flower centerpieces ourselves. It was great to know that if I had a question,all I had to do was email Candace and she would have an answer for me, usually within a day or two. I never felt the need to call to the office. Candace answered every question I had from the size of the tables to what I needed to have my own dessert bar. She had some wonderful suggestions that I took into account and made the night unforgettable.

Wilma made the wedding run without a hitch! Not everything can be perfect...When I created my table seating chart I somehow forgot to add a table... BUT Wilma was quick to handle the situation in a proper manner when a few guests weren't sure where to sit.

We heard nothing but " the venue was gorgeous!" and the food " was the best I have had!" to date.

The Stillwell House made our wedding beautiful! I only had a few simple things as my center piece and they just knew how to make the tables just look fabulous! They are very nice to work with and very reasonably priced. The food was delicious! My mexican mother who is the best cook in the world even told me that the food was good! That is proof right there if you ask me! Choose the Stillwell House for your wedding! They will make your day very special and run everything smoothly. I didn't have to worry about a thing!

I had my ceremony in the courtyard and the arbor and seating were decorated beautifully! They incorporated their own decorations in with the items that I provided and it all meshed wonderfully!
Dinner was in the main house and was excellent! Every one of my guests commented on how good the food was! I even had a few of my more picky guests say they ate it all!

If you are looking for a private venue for a small wedding (less than 150 people), with a beautiful backdrop that is conveniently located and easily accessible to your guests and wedding party, than this is the place. I was looking for a vineyard-like backdrop as my theme revolved around wine and Greece (the Greek's love their wine) but I was afraid of the high price tag that came with a typical vineyard. While the Stillwell House is not a vineyard nor has it ever been, the decor of the private garden and of the house itself achieved the feel. The price was exceptional, considering our package contained food, service, linens, plates, use of the house and property for six hours to include the two hour pre-ceremony set-up, bar service, cutlery, tables, chairs, and any extras the house had available. Willma and Candice are very knowledgable in the workings of weddings and their experience shown brightly through as they sat down and went over every detail of wedding with me. Both were very professional in their dealings with me and they were flexible by letting us pay them gradually up to the week before the wedding.

Because of these two ladies, my wedding was a success that to this day I am still getting compliments on it!

The Stillwell House was excellent. We started planning while we were still living in Tucson, half way through we moved to Texas. Everyone at the Stillwell House was very helpful in getting our plans sorted out even though we weren't in town. The rehearsal was planned and I felt very comfortable for the actual wedding day. The day of was wonderful, the brides/bridesmaid room was perfect in getting those last minute hair/makeup fixes done. Everything was ready and perfect. The dinner was perfect, table settings beautiful, they worked w/ my color - TIffany Blue, and made everything beautiful. The waiters/bartenders were great. All in all, a wonderful place w/ wonderful people, I couldn't imagine having my wedding any other place.

Thank you to The Stillwell House and team for making my wedding a night to remember!! You were able to make all my visions come true. My vintage tea party theme worked perfectly in all areas of the venue.

We couldn’t be more pleased that we chose the Stillwell House as our wedding venue. We planned our wedding long distance, and Kelly and Wilma’s experience and expertise with all aspects of event planning set our minds at ease. They were on top of every detail and were very responsive, especially in the weeks leading up to the wedding. After dropping everything off at our wedding rehearsal, we never thought twice about any detail and Wilma and her amazing team pulled everything together perfectly. They attended to details and decorations that hadn’t even crossed our minds and made the entire event run smoothly. All of our guests raved about the food, ambiance, and setting. My husband and I first came across the Stillwell House on Wedding Wire, and were curious about it. The Stillwell house was the first venue I visited in Arizona. I never cried when looking for or even finding my dress- I cried when I first came to the Stillwell House.

The Stillwell House is a historic site, rich with Tucson history. The family that owns the El Charro restaurant in downtown owns the Stillwell House, and is their exclusive caterer. In other words: The best southwestern food in Tucson.

Stillwell includes just about everything:
-Ceremony, dinner, and reception can be held on site.
-Linens, tables, chairs, charger plates, glassware, water and Pepsi products can be served on site.

Other Stillwell Pros:

-Excellent Staff: Everyone from Candace, Wilma, Kelly, our servers, the kitchen and custodians truly make Stillwell a venue that is beautiful and runs efficiently. They are truly masters in the business.

-Versatile Spaces: The three locations at the Stillwell House can be "flipped" for dinner and reception. Stillwell itself is more spacious that it appears: It can accommodate over 200 guests, and a variety of entertainment options. My husband and I had a DJ (Fernando Gonzalez: Raza Entertainment), Harpist (Christine Vivona), Beer Donkeys (AZ Beer Burro Co.), and Caricature Artists (Dianne and Murawski from About Faces Entertainment).

-Lighting and Decor: Stillwell's lighting, and vintage/vintage inspired decor creates a perfect romantic ambiance that isn't overdone.

-Preferred Vendor List: Stillwell is quite known in Tucson, and has an extensive preferred vendor list that can accommodate a large range client tastes.

The Cons:

-You will have the absolute, hardest time picking out which food you want for your dinner because everything is DELICIOUS.

This space is so beautiful, you could not add a single piece of your own decor and have a gorgeous wedding. I had a pretty simple decor scheme, and they elevated it to be elegant, and breathtaking. Candace, Wilma, and Kelly are no-nonsense professionals that will do what it takes to make your day perfect. They are purposeful and direct and that pays off in every detail being taken care of. The food was outstanding and they welcomed our request to kick up the jalapeno to make sure our guests knew they were in the southwest. If there was something that didn't go according to plan, I had no idea.

Had our wedding there recently and absolutely loved it. We fell in love with it immediately. The venue itself is so beautiful that you honestly don't have to do much to it! The price is also very reasonable in comparison to a lot of places around. They don't have any random additional fees like cake cutting, cork fees or anything like that. And they let you use their vases and some of their decorations too.
On the night of the wedding all of the staff (waiters and bar) paid extra attention to us to make sure everything went as we wanted. And the food turned out great. You provide the liquor. We had signature drinks and the bar tenders did pretty well with them.
I was not so great with knowing what decorations I wanted so we gave them limited instructions and some extra stuff we had and they made it look amazing.
Only negative is I had trouble getting ahold of them. You basically have to leave a message on their machine and wait for a call or email them. But sometimes it took awhile to hear back. It all worked out in the end and my wedding was everything I wanted it to be, but the responsiveness was the only frustrating thing with the venue. I'd still do it there again in a heartbeat.

Still beaming from our amazing wedding at the Stillwell House! We worked with Kelly, Candace and Wilma, and everyone was so accommodating and so on top of things. We wanted an all vegetarian wedding, and all the guests said they were the best tamales they'd ever had. So happy that Stillwell was not only able to work with all-veg, but made it so good that no one complained about the lack of meat!
In terms of the decor, I wanted gray tablecloths which they had made for us (fabulous) and they provided so much additional decor on the day. If you are like me, unless you have a wedding planner, you are not going to remember to think about what kind of bowl the salsa is being served in. Luckily, the Stillwell is not only a great bargain, but they've thought of everything and provide SO many additional items, so when I walked around the venue on the day, everything looked so put together and decorated, and I didn't have to overthink every little detail on my own in the planning period.
We had some rain threats on the day, and Wilma was great about setting up for worst case scenarios, but made sure to hold off to make the call, since I really wanted to eat outside. Luckily the weather cooperated and the day was perfect! I am so grateful to everyone there for making our day so beautiful! :)

Cannot say enough good things about my experience at the Stillwell House in Nov. 2013. Stillwell House provided the catering and hosted my reception and ceremony. The grounds are lovely - they have a main house with an open concept upper floor and lower floor with grand staircase, and an area for the bridal party to prepare in. There is then the lovely courtyard with arbor. And a \"cantina\" building with bar and dance floor. SO many ways to arrange your event - wed indoors or out. We wed in the courtyard, but I was ready to wed at the top of the staircase in the main building should rain have threatened. \r\n\r\nWe provided them with our centerpieces, favors, guest book and fresh flowers, and they arranged everything around the table settings we had chosen. It was a great \"one stop\" experience -- I only contracted separately for the cake and photographer, and my husband\'s musical peers provided the music. We also shopped for and provided our own alcohol for the event - Stillwell House provided the professional bartender. \r\n\r\nWe wed on a Sunday afternoon, to take the best advantage of package pricing. We also chose to employ their manager Wilma as our day of wedding coordinator. She knew the flow and pacing and was a great help moving our event along. Wilma guided us all thru our arrangements leading up to the day. I was a very relaxed bride, and I trusted the staff to make sure everything was put together and tasteful. Zero regrets, zero complaints. They even packed up our accoutrements at the end of the event to load into our cars. \r\n\r\nMy goal for our wedding was to celebrate with family and friends, and to not have to impose on any of them to help. Stillwell House made that a reality for me, and at a price point competitive with other venues where I would have had to orchestrate and provide so much more.

As to not stress myself out, I never worried about having the perfect wedding. Wilma and the staff at the Stillwell House helped make it happen anyway. I planned our wedding from out of state with the help of my mother and sister. Wilma worked with the three of us from the beginning to plan a great event. She gave us a very solid idea of pricing, food options, etc. and worked closely with us throughout the whole process. She and the staff pay attention to detail and it really shows. Little touches and decor in our colors were present throughout the venue along with beautiful refreshment stands and lighting. We had to move the ceremony and dinner indoors due to weather but the setting inside was so beautiful, we didn't mind one bit. The food and drinks were served promptly and everything was delicious. Wilma even made sure my husband and I took a moment to ourselves before dinner and brought us refreshments. We received so many compliments on every aspect of the wedding. It couldn't have gone any better. If you want a beautiful, timeless setting and a professional staff who know exactly how to run a wedding, the Stillwell House is for you. I can not say enough about Wilma and her staff at the Stillwell House! Our wedding was absolutely perfect! They did such an amazing job setting up and turning over the tables. I did not have a wedding planner through the planning process, so I was a little nervous how everything would turn out and I have to say the entire day went so smoothly because of Wilma! Everything was on time and they made it all look so effortless!

The food was delicious and warm. We had 150 guests and it was a platted dinner, the staff had the dinner out so quickly! The bar tender was a blast and was so fast to getting drinks out!

I truly can't say enough god things about the Stillwell House!

They were wonderful!!! I brought in what I wanted out for display and they took over and made it absolutely better than what I had even imagined . The service was 100% excellent I would suggest anyone to Choose them ! The house decorates itself. I love everything about it.

The Stillwell House was like a fairytale wedding. I walked in and was so excited to see that the venue had been transformed. The table settings were fabulous. There was such attention to detail- everywhere.
The food was delicious, service wonderful and there was not a single thing I would have changed. It was lovely.
My only complaint if getting in contact with any of the wedding planners. They don't answer the House phone and you always have to wait for a call back.

Stillwell House does TONS of weddings. TONS. Which means they know how to put on a beautiful event - how to help you organize your day-of schedule (SO helpful if, like me, you're a clueless bride who hasn't spent her whole life planning her dream wedding), how to guide your guests through each of their three gorgeous spaces so the whole event flows effortlessly, how to style their venue so that the wedding looks much fancier and more expensive than it actually is. They have it DOWN.

Their food is delicious, and they're totally willing to go the extra mile to make sure you're happy with your selections (we went through 3 rounds of tasting with our vegetarian entree). And the food (like everything else!) is very, very reasonably priced.

A couple of caveats: If you want to do things different from the way they usually do them, you have to be prepared for some pushback. It's all well-intentioned (they know what works, and they want you to have a great day), but you will have to assure them - and then reassure them - that yes, you're sure you want to do it that way, thanks.

Also: They offer a discount on your rehearsal dinner if you do it at one of their partner restaurants and have them set it up (score!), but I'd advise you to be very clear about what kind of rehearsal dinner you're envisioning if you go with that deal. We assumed we'd be in a private room / area with our group of 20 so that folks could give toasts, get up and mingle, etc. What we got was a long table in the middle of the restaurant's patio, surrounded by other large tables - no speechifying or mingling was really possible. To be fair, we should've established what we wanted in advance instead of assuming they'd know. In the end, it was fine, and we weren't upset, but if a certain kind of rehearsal dinner is important to you, make sure they know.

In the end, we had a beautiful day at a beautiful venue, and we'd choose them again in a heartbeat!

We used the Stillwell House & Garden as our wedding venue this past weekend. The venue itself includes the historic house, a center courtyard/garden area, and the cantina. The natural beauty of the venue can not be stated enough--it needs hardly any decorating in order to look absolutely magical. I worked with Kelly and Wilma to ensure that everything was organized and ready for the wedding. They can be difficult to reach by email but are very quick to respond via telephone. The professionalism of the entire staff at the Stillwell House is more than I could have ever expected. Wilma has an incredible amount of experience, and it is clear that she expects the best from her staff. I walked in the afternoon of my wedding to find every detail already set up and arranged and looking even more beautiful than I could have ever imagined it to be. They took every idea I had and made it better. Each member of the staff checked in with me to make sure my night was perfect, and I can't think of a single minute where I needed anything. The serving staff was attentive and friendly, and the bartenders were talented and smart. By the time we were ready to leave, the staff had everything packed and ready to be loaded in minutes. The Stillwell House was not only a great value and a beautiful venue, but they made the entire planning process less stressful as a bride. Thank you!

The staff was incredible at throwing together an absolutely flawless wedding - one that has inspired many of my guests to tell me what a fabulous wedding it was; and the price was unmatched anywhere else! They also had the cheapest food and it was still excellent! They took care of every need and I really did nothing but received everything I ever wanted in a wedding. The venue was so beautifully decorated that Jones Photo used my pictures in their portfolio! The only slight annoyance was that it was difficult to get them on the phone; we didn;t receive call backs sometimes for days and their office hours are weird!

Stillwell House knows how to put on a wedding!! They listened to all of our preferences and details and delivered beyond our expectations! The food was great and the service throughout the night was exceptional! Jen did a fantastic job bringing it all together that night and making sure all of our needs were met!

The Stillwell house is a beautiful, classy, wedding venue. They put beautiful little touches everywhere and make it beautiful, even if you didn't think of centerpieces on your cocktail hour tables, they out candles. They serve a delicious dinner and bring drinks to guests during dinner rather than guests having to get up. It's a tad pricey but well worth it!

We had our reception at The Stillwell House. The venue was absolutely perfect - very cozy and romantic. The location is so beautiful that it doesn't require much decorating other than what you want to put on your tables. The staff was great about putting everything together and then breaking it down for us at the end of the night.

The Stillwell House was a wonderful venue. The food was delicious and they allowed us to create our own menu based on their listed menus. The site is beautiful and the staff was friendly. The Stillwell House and I played phone tag a little bit, but overall they were good about responding to my calls and questions. Most of our items were packed up for us to take home that night, and when I notified the Stillwell House that somethings were missing, they looked for and found the items. Their charge was really reasonable (especially when compared to other venues) and they broke down the charges and services for us to see and choose from. They also gave me helpful tips about the ceremony and day of time-line.

This place is beautiful. The fact that you get a bartender for the night, and you're allowed to bring your own drinks and not have to pay per drink is wonderful. The house is gorgeous! The garden patio is open and inviting. They really offer to do everything for you. The price was definitely worth it, unfortunately a little above our budget.

My wedding day was even more beautiful than I could have imagined, and most of that is due to the wonderful and attentive staff at the Stillwell House. The morning of my wedding, my brain went through the many details that I was sure I forgot to mention to Kelly and Wilma, but they read my mind and everything was where it needed to be! I even forgot the pens that I picked out especially for my guestbook, but the staff at Stillwell found replacements.

I appreciated the staff's ability to problem solve! Everything was perfect (and anything that wasn't was expertly fixed without my knowledge!). The ceremony space was set up beautifully and Wilma did a great job directing everyone and keeping us on track. Guests were so impressed by the delicious meal and (stiff) drinks. We received so many compliments and I'm so glad that we chose the Stillwell House for our wedding. The spaces are all so beautiful and so much of the decor is available without extra cost, so you can go simple with flower arrangements and other decor items - this was a huge plus for us! Additionally, I appreciated that so much was included in the cost, so we didn't have to worry about communicating with a separate bartender or catering company.

I know some of the other reviews say that they aren't very flexible... that wasn't my experience at all. Wilma and Kelly are the experts and will absolutely let you know if they think there is an easier or more elegant way to get something done, but also respect whatever decision you make. Most of the time, I took their advice and the day was better for it. A few times, we stuck to our original decision and it worked out too. All they want is for you to have a great day :)

I also want to mention that whenever we met with any of our vendors and they asked what our venue was, the next thing they said (without fail) was, "Oh that's great! Wilma and her team run a tight ship!"

My wedding was breath taking. Everyone commented on what a beautiful venue we had. The day was March 7, 2009 and the weather was perfect. We had our ceremony and dinner outside in the courtyard and dancing in the cantina. Every staff member took care not only the headtable, but our guest too. I highly recommend this venue.

Stillwell House is a beautiful venue, and I had an amazing wedding. I want to especially thank Wilma, Kelly, Jennifer & Erica for their assistance in ensuring that I had my needs met. They are Amazing. I want to be fully transparent though since this is one of the specialist days of your life and it’s a stressful expensive process. Candace is the owner and doing a lot of the work since COVID took place, but she is not very accommodating and each time I worked with her I felt more stressed or upset because I didn’t feel I received the service I needed. I would definitely recommend the venue but not working with the owner and not sure if this is still a possibility.

We had our wedding here and I cannot express enough how happy I was with everything. It was all a dream! Wilma and her team made the day run so smooth! Guest could not stop talking about how beautiful everything was and what a blast they all had. I highly recommend the stillwell house for weddings and any other events! They are absolutely wonderful and will make your big day an absolute fairytale!

Overall, they were great. The day of the wedding went smoothly and the venue looked VERY beautiful. Beforehand they were somewhat hard to get a hold of. You always have to leave a message and wait for a call back because they do not have anyone answering the phone. That was somewhat frustrating but the end result was great so I would say it was worth it. They also did the food and it was great. We have gotten many complements on the food and how it was the best wedding food people have had.

Read the reviews - they are spot on for the Stillwell House. Good value, good food, beautiful venue, but you have to fight every step of the way. It is difficult to get in contact with anyone, and Wilma's favorite word is no, but if you can stay strong and keep your head up it is worth it. The day of my wedding everyone was wonderful, but planning with the Stillwell House was a headache.

The Stillwell House was wonderful! The venue was decorated perfectly the day of, and the food and service was amazing. Everyone that I dealt with was very kind and helpful. This place is absolutely beautiful at night.

We loved The Stillwell House when we stepped on the grounds for the first time. They did a wonderful job at bringing together our entire image of how we wanted our wedding reception to look. I did not give them 5 stars only because it was rather difficult to get in touch with them and while we ultimately had our reception turn out the way we wanted it to, it was pulling teeth with Wilma to get to that point. We had several meetings in person and several on the phone because we no longer lived in the area. Wilma does not like to do anything that differs from "what normally happens." If you are tenacious enough to push for what you want and understand you will have to repeat yourself many times over and remind them over and over again, then there is no better wedding venue for the price you will pay here. They took care of us very well on our wedding day and turned the place into a magical location for us.

The Stillwell House and Garden is a gorgeous venue. The first time I toured it, I fell in love with the courtyard and I had to have my wedding there, even though the pricing was just slightly higher than some other places that we looked at. But they have in house catering with delicious food (everyone loved the prickly pear bbq chicken) and there are no surprise fees like cake cutting fees or champagne uncorking fees. The setting was perfect for what I wanted... its just the most idyllic little garden courtyard that feels oddly intimate and peaceful even though its right in the middle of downtown. And at night... its like a midsummer nights dream. Absolutely beautiful. The cantina and main house are also wonderful, and we were able to make it so the guests got to enter through the main house and have cocktail hour in the cantina, so they got to experience the whole property. Everyone thought it was gorgeous all around. The only drawback to the whole experience was some of the staff. Wilma, while obviously knowledgeable about how they usually run their weddings, always acted a but irritated at us, like we were inconveniencing her or asking a really dumb question. We always had to ask a question about 3 times to get a straight answer, and a lot of times we still left the conversation unsure of things. For instance, throughout the planning process, we were never quite sure what the staff would and would not do in terms of setting up and decorating and such. So I hired a few co-workers to help and spent weeks putting together detailed instructions of how I wanted everything. I'm an EXTREMELY detail oriented person, so I had planned every last inch down to making my own table numbers and seating chart... which to me was perfectly normal, especially since there was never any mention of how anything would be done otherwise. But both in my final appointment and on my wedding day, it was as if no one wanted to listen to anything I said, because the staff completely disregarded what my friends were trying to accomplish, kept moving my stuff around, even used a wrong seating chart that came out of no where, I have no idea where! And when my friends tried to work with them and do things the right way, the staff members were rude to them. In the end, everything was perfect, but not without some struggle. Bottom line... if you are a relaxed sort of bride who doesn't really care about every detail being your own, and you're okay with your wedding looking exactly like the other 800 brides' weddings they do a year, and you don't stay up at night worrying about what your table numbers look like or if everyone can see the head table, go ahead and use the Stillwell House. Its still beautiful and the food is still delicious. But if you're particular, very detail oriented, and a worrier, you might want to see if you can find a venue with a more accommodating coordinator.

The groom and i asked (several times) to be served dinner first, so we could eat and then greet all the guests as they ate. this did not happen, and we missed several of our guests.

I never really knew what to do next when it came to planning with Stillwell.... I felt like i wasn't listened to, and i never really knew when to send in my information, when to bring my supplies over, etc.

The venue was overpriced, in my opinion.

The bride's room was great, but there's no room for the groom and groomsmen... they just had to hang out in the bathroom hallway.

very, very beautiful location in spring. no need to decorate much, as the garden is lovely by itself.

Where to begin… I absolutely fell in love with this venue but beware, it comes with a cost.
PROS:
It’s so beautiful that it doesn’t require much decoration.
You have all three areas to use which makes it extra unique.
You can’t beat the price, during the summer they offer 50% off the venue cost which makes a big difference.
They provide a lot for you, just add DJ, photographer, cake and alcohol.
They added their own decorations and embellishments to go with my theme.

CONS:
The service, you will never get someone on the phone. Every time I called I had to leave a message and they usually called back in 2-3 hours.
Their pricing and booking system in not very organized, we got several different quoting mistakes and double bookings for appointments which left us waiting.
75% of my guests (out of 125) complained about the horrible customer service. That was very embarrassing coming from my new mother in-law(who contributed to the wedding) and one of my vendors. There was one stellar server/bartender but there were many complaints about Wilma and the bartender in the Cantina.
They are like a wedding factory; you will get resistance if you want to do anything out of their ordinary setup.
Overall, I would not recommend this venue to a friend. My advice would be to spend a little more money on a venue that can remember this is your big day and show a little more courtesy to your guests.

From a guest's point of view, everything looked very nice. Brides who had had their wedding there previously had nice things to say. But as a recent bride, I had a very difficult time with The Stillwell House. I was quoted different prices, had agreements 'forgotten', and spent my wedding day chasing down others. I think the worst part about it was the utter rudeness of management. Other couples who married there recently had similar experiences.

I cannot recommend the place to anyone. There are so many other wonderful vendors in Tucson!
