Perfect Organic Venue
This venue was perfect for my daughter's dream reception/party. We loved the wood tables and chairs which did not need table cloths, the beautiful exposed brick and the gorgeous copper doors. Courtney was great to work with and was available when we needed her for help or questions. The lighting was beautiful and we used eucalyptus greenery on the chandeliers, ledges etc, that really showcased the organic look we were going for. The sound system and projection on the giant wall for the slide show and video were perfect. We loved it all and got so many comments praising the beauty of our venue. I would definitely recommend it to brides.

Absolutely Perfect!
The Startup Building was the perfect place to hold my wedding reception! The rustic feel it has to it and how open and welcoming it is is just wonderful! I love their wood tables and chairs and all the places they had to allow me to be creative with my decorations. Honestly though, the twinkle lights strung from the ceiling are what sold me! They were my absolute favorite part! And not only that, Courtney was great to work with! She met us there a few different time to check out the venue and she had all the info we needed. Would recommend this place to anyone. :)

Great Venue!
Not only is the space beautiful, the inclusion of the tables, chairs, ceremony arch and sound system was amazing. GREAT value for the price! The staff was very helpful and responsive if I had questions or needed something. After our wedding I had so many people ask about it so they could rent the venue too! If I have another big event, I'll definitely use the Startup Building again. Can't say enough good things about it!

Amazing wedding venue!
I loved the startup building! Courtny was super fast to reply to any questions I had and made it easy for setup and everything else! The building itself is so pretty and the cafe lights are already included! It was super nice being able to have the building for the entire day as well!

The Start-Up Building is Spectacular!
I've been in the wedding industry for over 30 years; 15 years as a wedding planner. When we needed a place for my daughter's wedding, we not only looked for a great vibe, but a reasonable and fun person to work with. We hit the jack pot with The Start-Up Building! It was the perfect location, perfect vibe for her style, great value and to top it all off, we worked with a wonderful person! Thank you, Courtney, for being so supportive and kind! Wedding In August
Courtney was so wonderful from start to finish. She helped in so many ways and accommodated so much for us. Was always available without being overbearing. The venue itself was a dream so beautiful inside and out. Some of my all time favorite photos from my wedding day were taken in the back stairwell. Would defiantly recommend this venue to anyone!

From the planning stages of our event, until it was over, the owners of the StartupUp Building made our event absolutely perfect. It was everything we’d hoped for! Experience was like a dream!
As soon as I spotted the Startup Building from the train station I knew I needed to check out this gorgeous and historic building. I spent the next year and a half researching and dreaming about having my wedding there. When the time came I booked with them, and Courtney was so helpful! She worked with me on coordinating dates and answered all of my questions. She was there when we set up as well.
The space is beautiful if you're going for a laid back, classy, small reception. It's so nice to have the lights hung, sound system, courtyard, and beautiful tables and chairs to use. I still have to pinch myself that it all happened! For the price it really can't be beat.

We used the Startup Building for our wedding celebration. We got endless comments on how warm and inviting the vibe was. It has so much character and only needs minimal decor to look amazing. Courtney was also very accommodating and quick to respond to any questions we had. I feel it is priced very fairly for getting all day rental with tables and chairs. Totally recommend!!

We had our wedding reception at the Startup and you for sure get the best bang for your buck when it comes to a wedding venue! It's a beautiful venue for a really affordable price! We received so many compliments on how beautiful it looked and our pictures turned out GREAT! And because it's beautiful on it's own... it really requires very little decorating. Makes it sooo easy! You get the venue for the whole day so no stress setting up or tearing down! You can bring in your own vendors (though the ones they recommend are pretty great..Fiorre Pizza was THE BEST!). Courtney was amazing to work with! She was super quick to respond to any questions that I had and made the whole experience very easy! 5 Stars for sure!

Honestly, This is best place to do your wedding. The price is great considering all the accommodations. We absolutely loved our beautiful reception there. Courtney was so easy to work with and even came down at like midnight the night before our wedding because I locked my keys in the building haha. Seriously, it doesnt get better than this place. The ambiance is stunning and it's a clean pallet you can do so many things with. Everyone I talk to who came to our reception complemented how beautiful the Startup Building is! Make this place your choice!

Pure magic with a warm, fun vibe
Working with the startup building was a dream! Courtney was so kind to us and so easy to work with. Everything was clear from the start regarding price and expectations of using the venue. The venue practically decorated itself. It made for such a beautiful reception! It is what I think has to be the most affordable space with the best vibe in all of Provo, making it a no-brainer. With catering and some greenery on the tables and on the archway, it was magical. I absolutely love the startup building and recommend them to anyone. Such a cool vibe and beautiful space!

Fantastic Wedding Reception at The Startup Building
We are SO happy we chose to have our daughter's reception at the Startup Building last August. The venue is beautiful and the size for our crowd of about 250 was perfect. Courtney was such a pleasure to work with and we felt the price for what we received was perfect. The building is beautiful enough to need very little decoration. The lighting is beautiful. If given the opportunity to do it here again, we will definitely do it and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone considering it!

We are son in love with the aesthetic of the Startup Building. It was the industrial look we were going for, and for the price that included tables and chairs, cake table, prep kitchen and tons more...was perfect for us. Courtney was awesome to work with, very attentive to everything I had questions about. I loved that we were able to bring our own caterer and bar and even more so that we had the entire building for the entire day so we could set up when it was convenient for us, not on a time limit like some venues do.

I could not have asked for a better venue to work with for our special day. Between the amazing ambiance of the space and the ability to bring in our own food, bartender, and DJ, it was everything we cold of dreamed of. With my husbands family being greek/Italian it was very important to them that they were able to cook and serve their own food at the wedding, and at this venue that's exactly what we were able to do and hardly anywhere else in the valley can you have this flexibility with providing your own vendors. I was a bit stressed out due to the size of our families, we realized we had over invited just a tad, and there was still plenty of room for everyone including being able to step out into the patio space. We had to of had at least 300 people at the reception, and 120ish at the ceremony.
Between needing to use the patio area last minute to cook the food and open it up the space more, to being able to arrive early to set up decor and whatnot, to always responding so quickly to the calls/questions/texts of a stressed out bride, I am convinced every wedding venue needs a person like Courtney! She was so so amazing to work with and made my day run 10000% smoother. They are so lucky to have her as apart of The Startup Building.
The venue also comes with tables, chairs, catering tables and a few other odds and ends which makes it that much easier when booking the venue. 10/10, always will recommend these guys.

What a great venue! It is unique and different and all of our guests loved it! Courtney was wonderful to work with and quickly got back to me when I had questions. We loved being able to do our own decorating and bring in our own food (street tacos and churros). We were able to get in early to set up everything just how we wanted. There was plenty of room for all of our guests and they lingered around because the atmosphere was amazing. It was the perfect place for a memorable wedding reception!

The start up building was the perfect setting for our wedding reception. The staff mainly Courtney was very easy to get a hold of and we had no trouble at all booking our date with minimal amount of notice. They don’t provide help with set up or clean up but for the price it was a great option. If I went back and did it again I’d still choose the Start Up Building!

The Startup Building is darling! It's such a great value because it comes with all the tables, chairs, sound system, and even an arch! And the interior of this building is incredible. You don't need too many decorations because of all the gorgeous brick and character of the building. Courtney was such a pleasure to work with. She always replied back to my many questions right away. I wish I was having another big event so I could rent out this beautiful venue again. I wish I could rate this venue higher if I could. Every moment from the booking to the wedding day was so perfect. Courtney was always willing to respond and help out. She even let us come by and see the venue a few times just to map things out and plan. When the actual day came, all the tables we needed were out and ready for our use and it made setup a breeze. When my wife and I walked into the actual reception, we weee speechless. It was beautiful and we couldn’t have asked for a better. Venue for our big day! If you have any doubts about this place, get rid of them because they will all disappear when you host your event here.

I LOVED my experience with the startup building. After looking at many different venues, I was shocked to find out that so many of the venues I was looking at made you use their florist, caterer etc. which is why I was so happy that the startup building didn't require that! They were willing and responsive to talk about price (which was great for what you get) and the rules of the venue (no open flames etc) and were so happy to be accommodating (we brought in so many decorations- including candles- and they let us burn them) I would definitely recommend this beautiful venue! They also have a beautiful arch you can use/decorate, music hook ups, and a projector- this was great because we just had our bridal "first look" video playing on a loop throughout the reception.

The Startup Building was a great place to hold the wedding reception. The building itself is beautiful, so decorating was really easy. We used simple greenery and candles; the walls of the building added perfectly to the decorations. It was beautiful! We used the wooden chairs, which look great with the wooden tables. Courtney was extremely helpful to work with, and made the whole experience wonderful. I highly recommend using the building for a wedding reception any season!

We had the best experience at the Startup Building for our Wedding. The venue itself is so cool and combined with the value its a winning combination. We looked all over Utah County and couldn't find anything that we liked more than the Startup Building. I hope that we can use this venue for something in the future we love the Startup Building.

From the moment I found The Startup Building on The Knot, I was in love. After reading everything on The Startup Buildings website, I thought it was too good to be true. It was soo cheap for everything it includes, the pictures from other weddings were absolutely adorable and Courtney responded very quickly to us! We did a walk through (ended up doing a handful) and had the pleasure of meeting Courtney & her cute family along with her Father-in-law, who LOVED the history of this building. It was so awesome to hear the story while being there and seeing it all. Courtney was incredible!! Answered all of our questions, gave us idea's & input, she was always so quick to respond to texts & emails and really made the Venue-Wedding part, THAT much easier- which was a complete relief!! I couldn't be happier with this venue. It was perfect in every way possible and I will definitely find ways to schedule the venue again in the future! I will forever recommend this venue to anyone & everyone!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! <3

We loved having the startup building as our reception venue. It was very easy from the beginning to set up an appointment to view the venue, and the rental and contract process was easy as well. They had a good price for all goods the things that were included. It is a beautiful and unique venue. I would recommend it to anyone.

We loved Loved having the The start up building as our venue for our daughters wedding. It was perfect in every way. The staff were phenominal to work with. It's the perfect size. We had our luncheon and reception there. The catering area in back is great and easy access! Loved this place and so did all our guests.

If you are looking for easy people to work with for a god price, this is the place to look! Courtney was so kind and made everything go so smoothly. The Start Up Building is also extremely nice because they only charge you for the building itself. There is no cake cutting fee, they don't require you to use one of their vendors, you can set up exactly how you want. Some people may have a little more work to find a catering vendor or decorating service but it is totally worth it not to have those extra hidden fees.

This place has a perfect location and is so cool on the inside! It's so versatile and can be be turned into so many different styles depending on your decorations. It's even beautiful without a lot of decorations! Be sure to book in advance.

The Startup building is such a unique venue! We were about to book another place when I was browsing to double-check it was what we wanted, and this popped up on wedding wire. As soon as we visited it, I knew it was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. The exposed brick and copper piping, the industrial sliding door, the nook in the back, and the wooden posts throughout were awesome and definitely our style. And all the furniture is included in the price! Courtney and her husband were so easy and helpful to work with, I had lots of questions and went back to visit several times, and they were really accommodating. We had such a memorable evening there and I couldn't speak more highly of our experience.

The Startup Building was the perfect venue because I got to be as creative as I wanted to be with the decorations! I love that you can bring in whatever food, furniture, and decor vendors you want, and you can really make the space into something unique for you. It really is a clean slate with such interesting and unique details, which allows for any event to be absolutely stunning. Courtney and her husband are so easy to work with and will help you to make sure that all your needs are met and you're getting your money's worth out of the space. For the price, the size, and the accommodations, this really might be the best venue here in Utah County!

I booked the Startup Building as soon as I knew I was getting married. It was the perfect venue for my reception. The urban/industrial vibe with the concrete floor and exposed brick allow you to really create your own feel in the building, either dressing it up or down. It fit my simple taste perfectly and still kept my reception beautiful because the building itself has so much character. So pleased with the service from start to finish. Kept my day stress free and fantastic. Beyond happy with my choice to book here.

My wife and I chose the Startup building for our wedding reception. Here's why I recommend them to everyone I know:
Quality of Service - The Taylors see weddings every week yet have a way of making you feel like yours is the first and only one they've hosted. They embody everything service, business, and community ought to be.
Responsiveness - Whether by phone call, text, or email, neither my wife nor I ever had the slightest difficulty getting through to the Taylors and getting our questions answered. Throughout our reception they remained onsite to make sure everything went smoothly.
Professionalism - Everything from reserving the venue to setting up appointments to walk through the event space was organized, punctual, and helpful. The space was always clean and the Taylors were always prepared to answer our questions.
Value - The Startup building made everything about planning our reception so much easier. The tables and chairs were well kept and beautifully finished. The lighting, projector, PA and music was all setup, tested, and ready to go. You could tell that so much detail went into every aspect of the facility. We barely felt the need to provide any of our own decorations. We felt like we got way more than what we paid for and had everything we could've needed.
Flexibility - The Taylors worked with our schedule as needs arose and plans changed when they easily could've chosen to let us find a new venue. They treated us like our business was important to them and went out of there way to accommodate us.

We LOVED this venue. Very unique and easy to decorate! We got tons of compliments on how beautiful it looked. One thing I would definitely point out is that it is VERY dim lighting. If you're having an evening wedding of course. But I would let your photographer know head of time so they can plan accordingly.

Booking the Startup Building was the best decision we made during the whole reception planning process! The building is so beautiful and unique...just what we were looking for and it was very reasonably priced! We used their tables, chairs and projector/sound system. They all looked and functioned perfectly! The management team that we dealt with were two of the nicest people I have ever met. They were so easy to work with when we needed to come get measurements (multiple times) and accommodated every single one of our needs/requests. They really made my daughter's special day stress-free and just perfect! I was concerned that people would have a hard time finding it but the turnout was great and everyone loved it!!! We were so happy with it we're going to book my son's Wedding Luncheon there as well!

The Startup Building is THE BOMB. I cannot say enough good things about it. Not only is it a great, affordable location, but the management is beyond believable. Anders and Courtney are some of the nicest, most accommodating people you will ever meet! I actually rented it our for a company event for (Five Sushi Brothers) as opposed to a wedding, but I have several friends who have used it as a reception location, and have loved it! I do not have even a single complaint, and would recommend it 1000%. That's right, 1000%!

This venue was FANTASTIC. Courtney is prompt, kind, and very easy to work with. All my questions were answered within minutes to an hour of emailing or texting. They are flexible and allow you to go look at the place beforehand. The price was very fair. The venue is easy to move things in and out and there is plenty of parking for guests! I have always dreamed of having my reception at the Startup Building, so I was so happy when it was available! They provide you with these beautiful 8 foot wooden tables and 120 chairs to use. They just installed these beautiful copper doors that divide the kitchen area from the main reception hall which is so nice. It is a large space that is so versatile and it already had the twinkling bulbed lights hanging for us and a sound system. Seriously loved this space!

We loved having our reception at the Startup building! Courtney was great at getting back quickly with any questions or concerns. It's already such a beautiful building which made decorating easy! We both have huge families and we're a little concerned about fitting everyone in and parking but the outside overflow helped and everyone fit comfortably and parking around the building and street parking was perfect! It's a perfect wedding reception venue for all types of weddings at a price that was much more reasonable than any others we looked at.

We recently held our daughter's wedding reception at The Startup Building. We had a positive experience from the very start working with Courtney. The venue was absolutely perfect and Courtney was so easy to work with. We were able to set up the night before which allowed us to enjoy the wedding day without too much prep right before the event. A unique, historic, non-posh look was hard to find in Utah Valley. At nearly half the cost of other venues and such a great location in Downtown Provo, it was a no-brainer. They also provided tables and chairs at no additional cost! Woot!

Really nice people and a beautifully unique space! I didn't feel like I had to decorate it much to get the feeling I wanted out of my reception. I am so happy with the result and would not change anything for the world.

I am so happy that I had my wedding reception here.
The owners of the building were flexible and made my wedding personal. They truly cared about me and about my experience. They were very helpful! The prices were very reasonable for the venue. Unlike other places I had considered, The Startup Building wasn't gaudy, overdecorated and didn't take itself too seriously. There weren't any hidden fees or frustrating rules.
The location itself is BEAUTIFUL and unique. I loved the old feel and ambiance. During the reception, people continually asked me how I found such a place!
It was wonderful and I loved it. Definitely have your reception here; you won't regret it!

Most weddings and planning for a wedding is stressful, but let me tell you, The Startup Building made my reception a DREAM. It was a beautiful setting and wonderful service. The management team is so real and understanding and work so efficiently. Everything worked out perfect and I had a little trouble in planning and because of some family situations I had to move my date but they worked so fast and hard to make sure we did everything possible to find the day that they could move the reception to while keeping the contract. The ONLY reason why I didn't give it a full 5 stars on quality was the AC didn't seem to be working and for a wedding in July it was a hot one outside making the reception a bit warm and even when working the AC Unit it wouldn't cool the place down. Because I was a newlywed and feeling completely blissful, it being the best day so far of my life, I didn't even notice until the end. WELL WORTH EVERYTHING! Thank you Startup Building! It was the PERFECT reception area!

LOVED having the Startup Building be the venue for my reception. It was absolutely perfect and they are SO accommodating! It looked beautiful and it's so affordable. Definitely would recommend this to anyone!

I loved having my Reception here. It was seriously perfect. I love how laid back and relaxed they were. For the most part, I feel like it was a Really good deal, besides an extra fee for nice chairs, there are not extra or hidden fees which is SO nice because it is so rare. It is a beautiful backdrop for any theme.

You barely need any decor to make this place beautiful! Love the cafe lighting and exposed brick and wood beams.

If you want something fun and unique this is the place to rent. We had a food truck in the outside area, games and live music indoors. You can be as creative as you want at this location. Courtney was wonderful to work with and had all the things we discussed ready for us on our day.

We absolutely loved The Startup Building as our reception venue. They were incredibly accommodating and helpful. They gave us a lot of room for creativity while still keeping the character of the place. We even changed the original date of our reception and they were extremely kind and helpful. This was the least expensive venue we looked at but by far the most unique and personal. We would definitely recommend The Startup Building for a wedding reception or any other event.

Amazing!
Courtney was amazing and super easy to communicate with while planning my wedding! I set up 3 different times to meet with her to see the space, see how a few of my decorations looked on the tables, and even to practice my father daughter dance! The building was so spacious and matched the exact feel I wanted my guests to have! I could not have asked for a better experience for this special day. I highly recommend this space to anyone holding any kind of event!
