Our wedding was absolutely perfect!

Our wedding was absolutely perfect! Jill and Savannah made sure it looked perfect. The catering team with Carlos was amazing. The food was perfect. I loved that we had a quiet moment before entering with the guests. All of our guest had a great time and told us the place and food was amazing. We chose our DJ Frank Lebano from their preferred vendor list and he had everyone on the dance floor. He is in a class of his own! Professional and detailed!

Great venue, handled almost everything

We had our small (40 guest) wedding ceremony and reception at the Rusty Pelican Tampa in Feb. 2024. We had the ceremony at their outside gazebo and our reception in the Tampa Room. This venue did so much to make our day run smoothly, from the planning process to the banquet captain on the day. Anytime we had a question or a concern leading up to our wedding day, they answered within 24 hours, and on the day itself there was always someone available. They also accommodated several special requests without any issue. We purchased the Platinum package and the extra perks were totally worth it in our opinion.

Highly recommended

We had to post pone our wedding for over a year and a half, in the beginning we had a different event coordinator from rusty pelican who was not helpful and made everything more difficult. But then, Micheal Jessup became our new coordinator and he was AMAZING! very responsive, experienced and helpful. Leading up to the wedding day he answered my millions of questions and was always very knowledgeable. He made sure everything went smoothly the day of as well! We had a great wedding day, thank you!

Amazing wedding at the Rusty Pelican

We got married at the Rusty Pelican last weekend and honestly everything went as perfectly as I could have imagined. We worked with Michael as our coordinator and Carlos as our banquet captain. We were planning from a different state and so were so grateful with how well organized and run this venue is for weddings. The setting can't be beat, leading to amazing photographs to remember our day by. Almost every single guest told us how much they enjoyed the food. And the day was run so smoothly that neither of us had to worry about anything. It truly was the best day and that is in large part to the amazing work done by the staff at the Rusty Pelican! Can't recommend highly enough.

amazing, beyond words.

michael, carlos and his staff were absolutely amazing. arlene floral design was fantastic. my photographer jasmine baetzel impressed me beyond words. my dj frank lebano was the most perfect entertainer i could have chosen. i am a virgo, and a perfectionist and over-planner. my whole wedding team impressed me beyond words.

So far great for wedding

2 years afo I took my girlfriend there for her birthday dinner it was awesome. It was then I noted a wedding venue available there.
Two years later it came to mind after proposing marriage. I looked at other places but most were poor responsive. Jill reached out to me immediately and offered a package that is almost perfect for our needs.
The restaurant is beautiful and the service was excellent from our experience so it should be a great place for a smalk intimate elegant wedding.

Beautiful!

From the moment I saw the beautiful ballroom views at Rusty Pelican I knew I wanted to get married there!!! It’s like having a beach wedding without dealing with Florida weather. We worked closely with Don, Angeline and Carlos the night of our wedding. Everything was flawless! We had some very specific things we wanted and they were very understanding and organized. Worth every penny

The Rusty Pelican was one of the first locations my now wife and I toured and we instantly fell in love. The location sets it right on the water and our wedding was right around sunset. The view was absolutely magnificent. From the start, the Rusty Pelican event staff makes you feel comfortable and assured that your wedding will go off without a hitch. Our event coordinator was Don Valente and we cannot thank him enough for all that he did. Don took care of everything. He made sure we had our vendors lined up, he organized the room to ensure the best flow of traffic, and made sure everything was set up perfectly the day of the wedding. If you choose this location, know that you will not need a day of coordinator. They do an excellent job of making sure everything is in place to make your day perfect. This location is not cheap...but my wife and I can honestly say that every single dollar spent was 100% worth it. The food was AMAZING, but the staff was even better. Our dinner coordinator was Norma and she was absolutely outstanding. One nice thing about using this location was their understanding of the craziness of the day. They make sure that the bride and groom have a small separate moment to enjoy a small meal before everyone else eats dinner. Norma made sure we had champagne and some food and her staff was incredible when it came to tending to tables or helping our guests. Thank you so much to all of the staff at the rusty pelican for making our day so incredibly special.

Wedding venue....PERFECT!

Incredible Venue and Service!

We looked at 20+ venues in Tampa and did a lot of research before deciding to use The Rusty Pelican as our reception venue. It was a great decision!! Rusty Pelican not only has amazing spaces with spectacular views, it also has great service and delicious food! There are so many perks to the package, including an event coordinator and banquet manager (we worked with Don and Norma who were both great - so professional and responsive), that create even more value on top of the views and food. Additional pros of using Rusty Pelican are that all the food is made in house at the restaurant (instead of catered) and it includes a lot of the stuff you would have to rent otherwise (like tables, chairs, linens, etc.). So we had minimal other contracts and coordination with other vendors which was so helpful in the already stressful planning process. I would highly recommend Rusty Pelican as your venue!

Beautiful Venue

The Rusty Pelican offers beautiful indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces and indoor reception. Not many places I visited on my search for a venue offered a beautiful indoor and outdoor ceremony space. It was important to me to find a place that offered both just in case it rained on the day. My coordinator Don was amazing! He is very detailed, organized, and helpful - truly made my wedding planning a breeze. The staff on the day of the wedding were amazing too. They were all polite and professional. I highly recommend this venue! You won't be disappointed.

Excellent All Around

We are so happy we chose this beautiful venue! They are so organized and detail-oriented. I was looking forward to having my ceremony outside, but unfortunately the rain ruined that plan. Don (Catering Sales Manager) let me make the decision on my own without any pressure and the inside option in the Grand Ballroom ended up being equally gorgeous. He provides expert advice while allowing freedom to make your own decisions during the whole process. I also had my reception in the same room, which they transitioned quickly. The service day of was impeccable, thanks to Norma! We got a private room after photos to have a sip of champagne and some cheese/fruit/hors d’oeuvres and recharge for a minute before the reception. The flow of the entire night was perfect and I was able to relax and have the best time. The only negative was that the beef was overdone. Everything else was delicious. Highly recommended.

Wonderful, perfect place to get married!

Getting married at the Rusty Pelican was by far the best decision we could have made! Don Valente is absolutely amazing at what he does. He is super responsive and extremely detail-oriented, and he truly made us feel at ease throughout the whole process. We originally wanted to have our wedding outside at the gazebo, but when we saw the weather report and learned how hot it would be, Don assured us that it would be no problem to move the ceremony inside. And let me tell you...the ceremony was more gorgeous than we could have ever imagined! It was just beautiful. After the ceremony and photos, we were introduced to our catering manager for the night, Norma. She was fantastic and handled the rest of the details for the entire night. We were taken to a private room before the reception, where Norma served us glasses of champagne and brought us some food from our cocktail hour. She even wore a flower in her hair that matched the flowers in our decor, which I thought was just a lovely touch. Bottom line: If you want to relax on your wedding day and have everything handled for you with grace and style, book at the Rusty!

Amazing Venue! Amazing location! Amazing Staff!

We held our wedding ceremony and reception at the Rusty Pelican on 2/22/2019. Don Valente and his team were incredible. Our special day was one we'll never forget. Amazing, amazing, amazing!

This venue was absolutely amazing. Not only are the views stunning, but Don handled everything from the timing to the placement and guided us through the process. With everything from the linens to the alcohol included, it took so much of the pressure off of us when it came to planning, which was a huge help as neither of us had planned a wedding or an event of this size before! Everyone said how amazing it was and I have absolutely no regrets.

Don is amazing!

From being to the end the Rusty Pelican and Don my coordinator was amazing! Don was easy to work with and made sure my wedding was perfect! Everyone raves about the food and open bar along with how smooth everything ran. I can’t thank him and the staff ( bartenders, the captain of the room and all the waitstaff) enough for a perfect day! My husband and I even had a caption of the room to make sure we had fun and everything we needed! I don’t think we could of asked for a better venue.

On top of amazing location, stellar service!

My husband found the Rusty Pelican while looking for wedding sites and boy are we grateful! Don made the entire planning process so seamless and he provided an outline of every step along the way. They take on a majority of the tasks and we literally did not have to lift a finger on our wedding day. From the time I stepped out of the limo to walk down the aisle to the gazebo, to when my husband and I made our exit, Don and Carlos and their crew catered to any and everything we as well as our guests needed. All of the guests raved about the service as well as the food and were extremely impressed with the layout of the ceremony and the reception. They made our day truly unforgettable!

I got married at the Rusty Pelican over Memorial Day weekend and it was the most beautiful wedding I could ever have asked for. I knew from the moment I stepped foot on the property that it was my wedding venue. We worked with Edward Reynoso who was the most amazing coordinator. He was very patient and worked with us every step of the way. I honestly felt like he was family by the time the wedding came around. The cocktail hour was amazing, the food was a huge hit and everything was set up and decorated so beautifully. Tropical Storm Alberto came through Tampa on the day of my wedding and Edward allowed us to make the decision about an hour or so before the wedding about whether we should move inside or not and that was amazing because you never know what is going on with Florida weather. Alberto ended up clearing out and we had a beautiful, sunny wedding outside by the bay. At the reception, as my husband and I greeted and thanked all of our guests, everyone could not stop talking about how beautiful the venue and how delicious the food was. One of my coworkers got married at the Don Cesar Hotel in St. Pete Beach and he said he wished he had known about the Rusty Pelican before because he would have selected it as his wedding venue instead! The biggest of thank you's to Edward and Carlos and all of the staff. It was amazing that they whisked my husband and I into a private room during cocktail hour and gave us a private 10 minutes together. We were able to eat the appetizers which were served at cocktail hour and have a drink. It was a beautiful moment we shared together, away from all of our guests and the wedding party, just before the reception. I didn't think I would need that moment with my husband but with the hustle and bustle of the wedding day, it is so special that they give the newlywed couple such a private moment. I would highly recommend the Rusty Pelican to any couples looking for a wedding venue. You cannot beat the views, the food and the staff.

The Rusty Pelican was so beautiful and the staff was so friendly and professional.. I want to give a special shout out to my wedding coordinator there, Don, went above and beyond to make sure that I didn't worry about anything. He handled everything with precision and finesse. He made sure everyone was in place and ready to go. The food was catered by Rusty Pelican and got rave reviews from all my guests and of course my husband and I LOVED it too...And the building is sooooo beautiful!!!! Don Valenti was our coordinator. Carlos took extra special care of me and my husband. Everything was a amazing. My guest and family were blown away... We would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Rusty Pelican restaurant, for the magnificent service that was provided for my spouse and me. The incredible staff at the Rusty Pelican allowed us to celebrate an oustanding and exceptional wedding reception on Saturday. The 24th of March 2018.

The initial meeting with Edward Reynoso started us on a wonderful experience. Edward provided a complete detailed explanation, in order for us to plan the most incredible and spectacular celebration. He helped us plan every item, including the vendors to match our taste that would lead to our expectations of a successful evening.

We would like to give special kudos to the serving Captain Mannwell (also known as Manny). He was professional, kind, receptive, extremely efficient and attentive to every detail. There was nothing that was too much for him to supply or do. Captain Manny deserves an extra accommodation on his expert service and professional and kind attention.

Our guests were extremely pleased with the venue, as well as the incredible service and delicious taste of the food. I’m sure they will be back. We definitely will be frequenting the Rusty Pelican. Again, many thanks to Edward Reynoso and to Captain Manny for making us feel so very special and for providing the most
exquisite evening!!!

I absolutely loved my reception at The Rusty Pelican! We had our reception in the Grand Ballroom and the room and view of the bay are absolutely gorgeous and worth the money! Our guests loved the food at The Rusty Pelican, and the best part was that everyone had fun at the reception, even our 90 year-old-guests were out on the dance floor!! Well fed guests are definitely happy guests! I also can not say enough good words about our coordinator Katherine Turner!! Katherine was a delight to work with from the beginning of the wedding planning all the way to the day of the wedding. Katherine, you are a gem and excellent at what you do!

My husband and I got married on January 27, 2018 and for Valentines Day this year my first choice was going back to the Rusty Pelican because of all of the good memories from the wedding! Definitely check out The Rusty Pelican if you're looking for an amazing venue. :)

I fell in love with this venue from the moment I walked through the doors. When you pull up to the Rusty Pelican you are at first a bit thrown off. The front entrance looks more beachy than what you would expect from a formal wedding venue, but as soon as you walk the wooden stair way to the grand fireplace that greets you at the top; you are in a different world completely. The inside is gorgeous with its rich deep cherry wood floors, ceiling beams, and walls. Its romantic, luxurious, and very inviting. The grand ballroom where our wedding took place has a breathtaking view of the ocean and city lights across the bay. If that was not enough the food was to die for. We decided on the buffet option and were not disappointed. The appetizers were amazing as well, and I had guests coming up to me all night telling me how much they enjoyed everything. Don was our wedding coordinator for the venue and he is a no nonsense very straight forward kinda guy who tells you exactly what is needed to be done. Which is great when you get so consumed in all the wedding planning you start to lose your mind and forget what day of the week it is. The staff on the wedding night were AMAZING! I was so impressed by the service they gave us from start to finish. They were so accommodation to our guests. We had a child attend who had food allergies that we did not know about ahead of time, and they were able to special make him a dinner without a moments notice. Every time my now husband and I got off the dance floor there was one of the staff there with a cold glass of water for us (much appreciated). Don went out of his way to make everything run smoothly and we did not have to worry about a thing the day of. I loved this venue and would highly recommend any bride at the very least go take a look. It would be impossible not to fall in love with it.

There is no better place to have your wedding/reception in the Tampa area. They are by far the best bang for your buck and have a wonderful team! We booked the venue a little more than a year before our wedding, and went through three staff changes in that time, but I never felt short changed or like they didn't know what was going on. Katherine was our co-ordiantor for the day and she made everything easy. We had a destination wedding, so I was bringing in several things for the reception the day before. She remembered everything and made our day perfect!

All of our guests said it was the best wedding food they had ever had. Everything was amazing the day of. We loved that they offered a private moment for my husband and I in a separate room where they brought us some of our pass appetizers so they made sure we ate before the reception began.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Rusty Pelican. The know what they are doing and they do it well!

"Worth every penny!" .... and this is SO true when it comes to working with Don and the rest of the staff from the Rusty Pelican. Don was so helpful and kept me stress-free during the whole planning process (even when hurricane Irma was coming straight to Tampa Bay). When he says you don't need a coordinator, he’s not kidding! He helped with vendors, hotel accommodations, and ensured the day went off without a hitch. The Rusty Pelican was the perfect spot for our wedding day from the personal décor touches, amazing food, and view to the friendly staff!! I would highly recommend working with the Rusty Pelican Staff for your special day! Thank you!!

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! We used them for our rehearsal dinner, and it literally could not have been easier or more fantastic to deal with. They offer wedding services, and if we hadn't gotten married elsewhere it would have been here!! The food was AMAZING and everyone raved about how good the food and service was. The staff is the best and were a dream to work and plan with. The restaurant itself is gorgeous with amazing on-water views and floor to ceiling windows; they have an amazing wine selection to boot. If you are in search of a venue, this is the place!!

I cannot put into words how perfect our wedding day was, because of this venue! From start to finish, everything was amazing. Katherine Turner was my coordinator, and she always answered every single question I had, met me whenever I needed a face to face visit with her, and ensured our ceremony went off without a hitch. Lisa, our reception lady in charge, was amazing. From making sure my husband and I got a moment to ourselves with some champagne and hors d'oeuvres, from making sure we both were fed first and making sure all of our guests were happy throughout the entire evening, I just can't say enough good things about the people involved and the site in general! We could not be happier that this was our venue for our most special day. Thank you Katherine, Lisa, and The Rusty Pelican!

If you are looking for a beautiful view and great view for your guests, look no further than the The Rusty Pelican. It was an amazing venue to host our ceremony and reception. The outside gazebo space was beautiful, especially at sunset when we got married. If at all possible, try to have our wedding timed around sunset. The sun was in the perfect location for our guest and our photographer. Our reception started with an amazing cocktail hour with a wide variety of food so no one was too hungry while waiting for us to complete our pictures. Don made his venue better than I could of dreamed. He provided extra touches that I never would of thought of, but they made the reception space absolutely gorgeous. Don was amazing during the planning process. He made sure all my questions were answered and helped make the wedding planning process no stress. At the reception, Norma introduced herself to us and was absolutely perfect. She took care of anything we needed during the night. She made sure we had a quiet moment to take everything in before the official start of the reception. She was so sweet and you can tell she genuinely cared about how we were doing. Our guests are still telling us how much they enjoyed the food and drinks at the wedding. Of course we didn't eat a ton on the day, but we had our leftover they next day and they were to die for! You cannot go wrong with picking the Rusty Pelican for your wedding! It was an amazing day thanks to Don, Norma, and the rest of the Rusty Pelican staff! Thanks to all that made our day a day we will never forget!

The Rusty Pelican was such an amazing place to have our wedding. The views alone make this place absolutely beautiful. We had our ceremony outside at the Gazebo, with the reception in the Grand Ballroom! Every step of the way was easy and fun to deal with for this venue. We had Michael as our coordinator, and he was always very helpful and answered all of our questions! The staff the day of the wedding is absolutely amazing. I cannot say enough about how smooth everything ran. There was absolutely no stress! They make sure everything runs according to plan, and everything is exactly how you wanted it. They work well with the vendors too! Norma was the lady in the reception that took care of us, and she was AMAZING! She always made sure me and the groom were well taken care of! If you are thinking of a nice place to have your wedding, where you don't have to worry about too much then I Highly recommend this venue! All of our guests had a great time and they have all commented on how great the venue was! Also, the FOOD! Absolutely incredible! I have had multiple people tell me that was the best food they have ever had at a wedding! so Tasty!

The Rusty Pelican was the perfect spot for my husband and I. We looked at some many different venues and couldn't find that perfect one until we went to the rusty pelican. Don was so helpful and keeping me organized during the whole planning process. The venue itself is beautiful and they have a variety of rooms that you an choose from. My husband and I wanted an outside water ceremony but didn't want our guest to have to be in sand. This was the perfect spot as we got the best of both worlds. The food and drinks were fantastic and the tasting they offer is a great experience to meet other people and getting information from them as well. Planning a wedding is certainly a lot of work, but the staff at The Rusty Pelican make it so much easier. They provide you with a list of preferred vendors and our Rusty Pelcian catering manager, Michael Jessup was very helpful, always willing to provide answers to our questions along the way. On the day of the ceremony, he made sure all of our vendors were there and set up appropriately. He also made sure the family and wedding party knew exactly where to be and what to do for the ceremony. The setting for ceremony was beautiful as were the rooms for cocktail hour and the reception. The food was fantastic and the service by the wait staff captain and his team were flawless. Everything was so well taken care of that we were able to relax and just enjoy the day. We couldn't be happier and are so thankful that we chose The Rusty Pelican for our special day!

The Rusty Pelican is the perfect place for your wedding. We had both our ceremony and reception at the Rusty Pelican. They are so professional and every detail was perfect. Our favorite part was their attentiveness to my husband and I. They made sure we ate, that everything with our Reception was in its location and to perfection. The food was amazing and our guest raved about how delicious it was. I have heard horror stories from couples who stated they didn't get to eat or drink, and the venue and caterers were unable to manage things so that it went smoothly, but this is not the case with the Rusty Pelican. They even had someone help me bussel my dress, as I did not have any bridesmaids and I didn't want to pull my mom from cocktail hour. They were amazing to work with.

My daughter was married at Rusty Pelican on 10/15 and I can say everything was beautiful. When Don tells you don't worry he has everything under control, he does. We had some special requests that were never an issue. The locations is beautiful and the service was outstanding. Every guest said it was the best weddings they have ever attended. The food was great and so was the service, especially the person assigned to my daughter and son-in-law. She was outstanding and so attentive to their every need without being intrusive. I would highly recommend Rusty Pelican and Don. He has got his stuff together.

I cannot express how truly amazing this Venue is. My husband and I were married 3 weeks ago here and had our Reception in the Grand Ball Room. We booked it out a year in advance and they were there every step of the way throughout the planning process. We worked directly with Don and he kept us organized! He made sure everything was well planned out and every little detail was taken care of (thank goodness...bc i'm not a planner). He was very thorough and made sure the wedding went off without a hitch! There is not one thing I would change about the entire day or even throughout the year we planned for it.
The Ceremony was breathtaking out on the water and the Reception was more than I could have ever asked for! The best thing about this venue is the service. From day one, they let you know that they are there for you and will help in any way possible. It was such a surprise that after our ceremony, we were taken into the Reception (while all the guests were at Cocktail hour) just so we could see "our wedding" first hand and take it all in. We were even given a "private moment" where we were served champagne and all of the appetizers that our guests were eating at cocktail hour. We had the pleasure of meeting and working with Norma on the night of. She was OUTSTANDING! Throughout the entire reception, she made sure we had everything we needed including drinks and food. I cannot thank her enough for everything she did for us that night.
I cannot express my gratitude towards the staff enough. This venue is truly amazing and will make your experience unforgettable. I would have never imagined a more perfect wedding for myself and husband. If you are looking for a beautiful Ceremony and Reception, AMAZING food and drinks and the best service out there...Rusty Pelican is hands down the best!

Michael and his team were great! We had to move our wedding from outside to inside at last minute and Michael and his team made all the transitions with no problem at all! Don was AMAZING! I am by no means any type of planner, so Don was a God send. He took care of everything! All I had to do was make various selections by certain dates, that was it! Everything came out perfect! Everyone loved the food, even the super picky groom. And definitely use their preferred vendor list! Everyone talked about what a great time it was! The Rusty Pelican saved me from a huge meltdown! I was having a hard time finding a cost effective venue for a reception for under 80 people. Everywhere I looked I have to rent the venue, hire catering, find a place for ceremony, etc etc etc. Once I stepped foot in the building I knew I found the place. I kept seeing Rusty Pelican on lists of places to look at but the name kept turning me off. It is so beautiful and classy, right on the water, and they take care of almost everything! The ceremony, the food, they pay for your cake, linens, seating, and dance floor. The only vendors I had to hire were photographers, the DJ, and the florist. I used their preferred vendors list to get all the vendors and they all were so awesome. I cannot say enough about how wonderful the experience was working with Nicole as my coordinator (which is also included). She really made sure everything went off perfectly.

We loved everything about the Rusty Pelican! We honestly didn't look at any other venue sites in Tampa because we were so impressed that we could get the best of both worlds: a great outside water view, but an indoor ceremony (hey its FL, its HOT). Mike Jessup was our coordinator and he was great to work with. Always answered all of our questions and 90% of the time just called me personally after I sent an e-mail. They make everything easy and have you work with preferred vendors (which you can choose different ones if you wish). The Rusty Pelican also fit my personality of being super organized and on-time. The day of the event went great. They had everything set up and taken care that we didn't have to worry about a thing. I did feel a little rush after the ceremony before our grand entrance and wish I had more time with just my husband and myself to take pictures, but it was nice to have 10 minutes to ourselves. The food was awesome and everyone raved about it. The space size was also perfect too (had about 80 guest)!! I loved every min. of our wedding and only wish it would have lasted longer! Highly recommend and believe it was a great value for everything that is included in your package.

I had Don as my wedding coordinator. He was professional, and kept everything flowing. They break down everything in the paperwork and tell you exactly what is due when. There is an open house so you can see each room inside and their "preferred vendors" all set upa nd able to speak with them. The best part about this venue was my wedding day was 100 % stress free. They handled everything and my vendors(that day) as well. My wedding was in the grand ballroom and was breathtaking. My guests all loved the food and the view (two walls of ceiling to floor windows overlooking the bay). The only thing I wasnt a fan of was there is no rehearsals the day before, but it all worked out anyhow.

We are so happy that we got married at the Rusty Pelican! We worked with Don, who is a highly organized wedding planner there at Rusty - and he worked with us from long distance to ensure all of our details were in order. We even had Dueling Pianos as our entertainment and Don worked closely with us and the vendor to make it work - and it was incredible.

On the day of the ceremony/reception, everything ran incredibly smooth. Our guests were all impressed with The Rusty Pelican - the views! The food was incredible - I actually made sure to eat because it was so good :) Norma worked directly with us the entire night and she made sure that we always had a drink in our hand - and even hunted for a safety pin for me when I had a dress emergency. At the end of the night she helped our families clean and pack everything up. I just can't say enough about how wonderful our evening was! It was definitely the largest item in our budget - but very well worth it!

When I moved to Florida in 2010 I had no idea I would end up meeting my husband and having the opportunity to meet Don and the crew from Rusty Pelican. I considered them the "all inclusive venue. So with not being from the area I was not sure about photographers, DJs, etc. One thing that I really liked about Rusty Pelican is that they have a list of vendors that you can use (it is not required) so that was a big help. I had the pleasure of working with Don and he was on point. They provide you with a checklist to help keep you on point. If you go by that you will be stress free. I must admit that I was skeptical towards the end (hey this is my first and LAST wedding and didn't know how things went) and found myself emailing and calling more. But each time Don reassured me that everything would be fine and it was! The ceremony was held in the Grand Ball room and the set-up was AMAZING with the view of the water. And when the sun set the reception set up was breathless. One thing that I really appreciated about Rusty Pelican is that after the ceremony and the pictures they took me and my husband to a secluded room to have time alone and eat our appetizers. ALL the staff members were professional, friendly, and on point. If you are looking for a place that has a water view Rusty Pelican is the place and after search all over in the Tampa Bay Area, I think they prices were very reasonable.

My daughter and son-in law chose the Rusty Pelican for both their ceremony and reception, Before booking the Rusty Pelican, we had already visited 20 plus other locations and for reasons such as cost, flexibility, food choices, location, etc . . . we were losing hope that we would find the right place. While visiting the Westin Tampa Bay as one possibility, someone suggested we try the Rusty Pelican. We went there without an appointment and at the time Sara was kind enough to show us around. We all fell in love with it . . . . shortly after booking it and paying the deposit, my daughter received a promotion which brought her back to Pittsburgh and Sara left . . . our file was assigned to the wonderful "Don" Working with him long distance was made easy due to his unending experience. He had suggestions that we would have never thought of it.....we were unable to attend the group tasting so he made arrangements for my daughter and I to come in and do a private tasting. The day of the wedding was absolutely PERFECT. The ballroom with his coordination and the wonderful kindness of the staff and Arlene's Floral Designs was just stunning. It was picture perfect. Everything from the ceremony to the cocktail hour, to the reception was flawless. We received compliments from all of our guests as to how beautiful everything was . . . Don knows his stuff and he won't disappoint. If you're looking in the Tampa area I highly suggest this Venue. The Rusty Pelican is truly full service! My husband and I could not be happier with Don and all of our vendors. Don is THE BEST in the business. He has the highest level of attention to the small details, is extremely organized, and professional. He helped me and kept me organized every step of the way. My wedding was a bit of a challenge as I grew up in Tampa but lived out of state while planning the wedding. Don and the staff at the Rusty Pelican were flexible and very accommodating to special requests.

Helpful tips to future brides and grooms: TRUST Don... he is a professional and will make your day very special. Use the approved vendors.... the Rusty Pelican is very selective and particular about the vendors that are allowed on their premises for a reason.

Overall excellent experience. I am more than happy to have selected the Rusty Pelican as our venue of choice for the ceremony and reception. The pictures came out phenomenal!!

We are so happy that we went with the Rusty Pelican for our big day, everything was perfect! Don was great to work with through out the whole planning process. He is very organized and is always happy to answer questions. The service was excellent! They really went above and beyond what we expected to make our day special. The food was fantastic! Our planning process had many glitches in it, however the venue/ceremony was never one of them. Don was our planner and he was always there for me whenever I had a question. Would recommend this venue to anyone!

The most BEAUTIFUL wedding venue ever!!! I loved every aspect of my wedding (ceremony and reception were in the Grand Ballroom), and it was absolutely perfect. Everything went seamlessly thanks to the professionals at the Rusty Pelican. They were so attentive the day of the wedding, we felt like royalty!!! The venue doesn't offer a full rehearsal because they have weddings going every weekend, but you don't need it because their staff guides you through every step of the day. I definitely recommend this vendor!!!

My wedding planner was Don. He was so detail oriented. Everything I wanted and more I found in him as a wedding planner. The venue gives you a list of the vendors that they recommend and frequently work with and everything and everyone flows so well. I suggest sticking with the vendors on the list provided. The only person we didnt use on their list was a pastor. Our family friend married us. If you want a stress free day where you just show up and have the time of your life pick Don.

My dream wedding cake true at this venue. Don valente was our coordinator and that guy knows exactly what he is doing, he is very punctual and nothing slides by him, he's on key. I was a nervous wreck the days leading up to the wedding but I knew he had it under control, the venue was beautiful and I even had someone tell me they felt like they should have sent me a thank you card for inviting them to the wedding because they enjoyed it that much, atmosphere was beautiful!!!

The food provided by the Rusty Pelican was absolutely AMAZING! We had chicken Marsala and London broil. Absolutely perfect. The buffet was great with a great selection of options.

We had both our ceremony and reception at Rusty Pelican in Tampa. Both the ceremony and reception were in the Grand Ballroom. We could not have asked for a more perfect night!! The entire staff was extremely attentive and helpful the night of the wedding. They were with us every step of the way.The food was absolutely delicious...the steak was cooked to perfection! Rusty Pelican is such a beautiful location, and the water views were spectacular. We highly recommend Rusty Pelican for a wedding or any other event!

Our daughter's wedding ceremony and reception was held at The Rusty Pelican. We could not have been happier with the atmosphere, food and service. The planning was made easy with Don, who paid close attention to every detail. The view of Tampa Bay was hard to beat; the elegance and charm of the venue site was outstanding; the food was absolutely delicious; and the service was phenomenal.

We would highly recommend this venue for both the wedding ceremony and reception.

The Rusty Pelican made the wedding so easy - We started with Omar who was awesome, but ended with Don who was also so awesome and on top of everything - They give you a timeline...follow it - it makes life so much easier. The wedding was perfect, the space is SO beautiful - it was the only venue I looked at...and the food was amazing. We got so many compliments that it was the best wedding people had been to. GO for it!! It's SOOO worth the money.

We chose to hold both our ceremony and reception at the Rusty Pelican. My sister had her reception in the Pelican/Bay Rooms 5 years ago, and I knew it was the venue for me! I called the RP literally the day after getting engaged knowing it would book up fast! I initially had a planner named Sarah...she left...then had Omar....he left two months before...(a bit stressful)...then requested to have Don (who my sister had). I wish I had Don from the start! He knows his stuff & is very professional! The RP is great at providing you a list of vendors (I used their cake (Publix) & flower (For Better For Less) recommendations) and a step by step list of things you need to provide and when. Follow the list, meet the deadlines & request Don and you will not be stressed at all! On wedding day, Don organized all the guys, got the girls down the aisle and gave me some reminders to really be in the moment & take my time (which was helpful since I was already teary). The service and food at the Rusty Pelican is always awesome & the view is breathtaking! If you are getting married near Tampa, check out the Rusty Pelican, you won't be disappointed!

Choosing to have the reception at the Rusty Pelican was the best decision we made!!! Don was an amazing person to work with. He knows his job very well and he will make sure you get exactly what you want. Follow his steps and everything about the wedding will go smoothly. The preferred vendors are amazing as well. The Rusty Pelican was absolutely amazing for our ceremony and reception. My husband and I worked with Don who was courteous and extremely helpful. Our questions were always answered quickly and we were given step by step instructions to avoid getting overwhelmed with tasks. Everyone said how amazing our wedding and reception was. The site is beautiful and the staff is amazing. My new husband and I got to share a special moment alone where we were given champagne and items from our cocktail hour. That moment spent so much to us. Everything went perfectly and I could not be happier with Don and The Rusty Pelican.

Don valente was great in helping me planning and very organized had a schedule for me to follow and was amazing. Gave me a list of vendors to use from makeup all the way down to the cake. Norma was our head banquet server who oversaw the whole event. She is fantastic!! Words can't express how amazing she was, as soon as we got there she got us to a small room so we weren't bombarded by our guests, we were able to sit down, relax, and eat some food food before the event continued, our djs were fantastic downtown djs they did a wonderful job playing a variety of music as we had greek, Puerto Rican families!! And our photographer PHENOMENAL photography by Emanuel!! If I had to do it all over again I would definitely keep it the way it happened. Everything went smooth as can be. In the hands of the rusty pelican and the team and vendors we used was more than EXPECTED, kuddos to all the work that was put into our event and can't thank them enough!!!

The Rusty Pelican was phenomenal in all respects. Omar Fuentez was our wedding coordinator at the Rusty and he was sooooooo helpful and really did make me feel like a "bride". There was another wedding taking place the same day as our wedding at the Rusty but Omar made sure that I felt like my wedding was the only event at the restaurant. We had our reception in the Grand ballroom and I was stunned at how beautiful the view was especially as the sun went down. All of of our guests raved about how gorgeous the panoramic view of the gulf was. The Rusty staff were sooo attentive to my husband and I and served us our meal at the dinner and made sure we had plenty of drinks through out the night. If you are getting married in Tampa I would say there is no better place. The view in the Grand ballroom is simply spectacular. The layout lends itself for a wedding(meaning everyone feels apart of the reception and is in one big room and can see the bride and groom at all times). The staff was wonderful, attentive and even took care of small details like table arrangements and gift table layout. The food was incredible and everyone was impressed at the variety and flavor of the meal. I would 100% recommend choosing the Rusty as your site for your reception. You will not regret it.

I have to say when I began my hunt for a wedding venue a year & a half ago, I was Dreading it! I ended up going to The Rusty Pelican first because of the great reviews. I took one foot in & I was sold! I never looked at another venue, I knew right away this was where I wanted to have my wedding! I worked with Sarah at the beginning and she was great! Then a few months before my wedding I had received an email that she was leaving & that I would be contacted by the new replacement coordinator. The email was very professional & I understood, even though I have to admit I was a little nervous as to how this new person would be.

I received an email a few days later from Omar stating he was my new coordinator. I then began to work with him & all my worries went away. I just had my wedding at the Rusty Pelican this passed Saturday & there is not ONE bad thing I can say. Omar did an OUTSTANDING job & I am so fortunate to have been able to have him as our coordinator! He was very professional and helped with any questions/concerns I had & made sure everything ran smoothly.

Omar introduced us to Norma who would be taking over for the reception part of our wedding & she as well went ABOVE & BEYOND for us. The Rusty Pelican does an amazing job at making you feel like you are the only people there. Norma not only continued to check on my new Husband and I, but she also made sure that our parents tables & all others had everything they needed throughout the night. To top it off the food was Delicious! All of our guests were blown away with how perfect everything was, we have not stopped receiving complements from everyone & my Husband & I are still at a loss for words with how spectacular it was. Our wedding completely exceeded our expectations & was truly more than we could have ever dreamed of!

Don, Carlos, and the service team at the Rusty Pelican went above and beyond to ensure my wife and I ( Elieth & Chad Robinson) had an exceptional ceremony and reception!!! Done was on point with every detail to make sure the ceremony went off without a hitch; it was very organized and there is no need to have a wedding planner. Don walks you through every detail of your wedding. I would highly recommend the Rusty Pelican for your wedding!! The guests commented on how delicious the food was as well as the service staff made sure they were on top of everything! We decided to go with a plated service and that was absolutely the right choice, because the filet's, chicken, and shrimp were cooked to perfection. The rusty Pelican really knows how to do a wedding! If you're interested in booking a wedding there, I would recommend booking well in advance! It's definitely worth the wait!

Frist of all, if there was an option for more than 5 stars, we would select easily given 10! We cannot speak high enough volumes about the Rusty Pelican. From the planning process to the wedding/reception itself, everything was more than we could have imagined. Don was always there to answer any of our questions and was extremely helpful with everything we needed. The wedding itself was gorgeous even without a rehearsal there was never a misstep. The reception was stunning! The staff was impeccable! We cannot count the number of guests who raved about how smoothly everything went and how the staff was the best they had seen. We highly recommend using their preferred vendors...they were the icing on the cake to the best day. A HUGE thank you to the Rusty Pelican, you made our wedding breathtaking!

I worked with Stacey Gershon at The Rusty Pelican. Stacey was wonderful to work with from start to finish. She was extremely professional and very accommodating. The day before the wedding I had an emergency that forced me to change my ceremony location. Fortunately I was able to move the ceremony to The Rusty Pelican as one of their spaces was free the next day. I couldn't ask for a more beautiful setting for my wedding. The set-up and views were breathtaking. Stacey was very professional and worked with me to make those last minute changes. She was on-site during the event and made sure I was in good hands for the remainder of the evening. The Rusty Pelican is a great restaurant (excellent food and service). It is also a one of a kind venue. No other location in South Florida offers their views, and what an elegant setting!

I have read numerous reviews on this venue and it couldn't have been more perfect. The location and view is perfect. The outdoor ceremony is beautiful and if planned correct you get the best sunset. The reception rooms are beautiful and decorate themselves. I had a view of the gazebo area and water. The food is beyond delicious. I have heard amazing reviews of the food and it was amazing and I still get compliments on it. We had a server who catered to our every need. He walked out plates for us to avoid spilling. Carlos was the best host to us and answered any question we ever had.

So glad we went with the Rusty Pelican for our wedding, November 3rd, 2013. We had Sarah for a planner and she was absolutely phenomenal! Rusty Pelican offers upscale professionalism with breath taking views for a very reasonable price. We were so happy with the food as well, which is something every bride worries about. My husband and I went with Filet & Chicken for one choice and Jack Daniels Chicken for the other, plated dinner. The food was fantastic and all of our guests complimented us the night of and still are complimenting the whole event after the fact. They also supply a great list of vendors, and the plus side is that these vendors have been working with each other for a very long time, so the flow of the entire event is smooth and flawless!

The ceremony & reception was beautiful! Don, our coordinator, was fantastic throughout the entire wedding planning process. He was always available via e-mail and answered my questions almost immediately every time. His professionalism made our entire night run so smoothly!

If I had to find one thing that wasn't up to par, our complimentary limo service from the hotel to The Rusty Pelican was late!! You wait your whole life for one moment and to have your limo driver late was irritating. Other than that, the entire night was perfect. Thank you Don!!
