Absolute pleasure to work with

The Rosewood Ensemble was exactly what we wanted. They were a pleasure to work with and we received so many compliments from our guests about their music. Dee Sparks helped us choose musicians for the ceremony and for the dinner. We used a strings trio and a classical guitarist. They were perfection and I can't wait to have an event to use them again. You will be thrilled to work with them on your event.

Planning our wedding music with The Rosewood Ensemble was seamless. I appreciated how well everything was communicated and all our questions were answered almost immediately. Dee went above and beyond to make everything perfect. The musicians and singers were outstanding - our guests said it was the best they had ever heard. Amazing Quartet

The string quartet was an absolutely amazing addition to our wedding mass. I cannot imagine our ceremony without the music played by Rosewood Ensemble. I cannot recommend highly enough.

The Rosewood Ensemble did a wonderful job at our wedding. The music was gorgeous and they were a special, unique touch on our wedding day. Dee did a great job communicating with us and was even willing to put our first dance song in a different key so a bridesmaid could sing it for us. They were great to work with and we highly recommend them!

Beautiful music!!

Rosewood Ensemble is wonderful! We had a string trio, pianist and soloist for our daughter’s wedding and the music was beautiful!! It was just what we had imagined. Dee sparks is terrific to work with, very professional and responsive. She took care of every detail. We highly recommend Rosewood Ensemble!!!

They were simply amazing! From the time we contacted them to the day of the wedding… so responsive and professional..
What amazing musicians they are! They sounded just beautiful..
Dee also recommended a cantor who was the best I’ve ever heard!

The Best of the Best!

We have used the Rosewood Ensemble at our company's Christmas party for 4 years. They never fail to impress us all! The range of songs they are able to perform is incredible. We typically ask for classical pieces tied in with Christmas/Holiday favorites and they knock it out of the park. We have utilized a string trio and each year have different musicians, but never has anyone been less that amazing! We have also had their pianists come in to play and they've been stellar too!

I cannot thank the Rosewood Ensemble enough for how wonderful they make our parties. Their beautiful music elevates any affair to a memorable event!

If I were planning a wedding - I would ONLY hire this group because of how professional they are, and how wonderfully they play! Dee is a pleasure to work with (for booking) and makes sure all of your needs are taken care of. Thank you again for everything!

Beautiful String Ensemble

The Rosewood Ensemble and Dee Sparks were fantastic to work with on my wedding day! They made my wedding ceremony elegant and beautiful. Leading up to our wedding, Dee was beyond helpful. She answered any questions we had and even proof read our church program to be sure we had everything correct. She was responsive, professional and couldn’t be more of a joy to work with! Making beautiful music!

The quartet did a wonderful job and really made the wedding special. I have had many compliments on their beautiful performance. We also appreciated their willingness to work with us on the reschedule and the venue change due to Covid.

Lovely, full music

We have nothing but good things to say about Dee and the rest of the Rosewood Ensemble. We ended up with a quartet plus a harpist, and so glad we did. Dee was responsive with communication back and forth from the beginning, from e-mails to phone calls and everything in between. We ended up with lots of changes leading up to the day, because of the pandemic, and they were on board with everything along the way. We had them learn our first dance song, which only enhanced the whole experience that live music brought to our day. Would book them a thousand times over if we could!

Unique Celebration

Exceptional

We have used Rosewood Ensemble for 3 of our weddings. They are truly our favorite part of the day. Their music touches your soul and they are professional and gifted musicians. The cantor, Eugene Pierce sang at two of our weddings. He too is exceptional. We will using Rosewood Ensemble for 4th wedding this Fall. Hopefully, Eugene will once again our cantor. They are a blessing and help to create a beautiful memory of the day.

Great Service

We knew very early on in our wedding planning process that we both wanted a string quartet, and we were both very serious about it. We looked at many options, listened to sample pieces, compared pricing, read reviews... and we landed on The Rosewood Ensemble. While they might not have the lowest price, we felt that our money was very well spent. Their performance at the wedding was flawless. A few guests mentioned that the quartet was one of the major highlights of the evening. Working with The Rosewood Ensemble is pleasant. We had a very non-traditional format for our wedding, and while we could tell that they had certain assumptions on what a wedding may look like (in all fairness, almost the entire wedding industry does), The Rosewood Ensemble was very accomodating. Overall, I would highly recommend The Rosewood Ensemble. Thank you and keep up the good work!

Amazing experience with The Rosewood Ensemble!

I booked the Rosewood Ensemble for our wedding ceremony and everything was amazing from start to finish. I worked directly with Dee Sparks. She was amazing and made everything so easy! She communicated often and I had no worries the day of the wedding. We had the string quartet and it was absolutely beautiful! The music made the ceremony elegant and classic and was everything I dreamed I wanted. If you are looking for a string ensemble at your wedding or event I would highly recommend The Rosewood Ensemble.

Best Wedding Vendor I Had!

Hiring Rosewood Ensemble for our wedding was the best decision. Dee, the managing director, was super responsive, personable, and incredibly pleasant to work with. I am a very organized person, especially during my wedding, and she kept right up with my questions, timeline changes, and requests. They were professional, timely, and detail-oriented. The music was simply superb. I always say you need to hire people for your wedding that make your life easier, not harder. Dee and Rosewood did just that. They made it so I could 100% count on them. Dee made sure they played the songs I wanted, while offering suggestions for those I was unsure of. Thank you, Rosewood Ensemble! I couldn't recommend you enough.

My Daughter's Wedding

The group was nothing short of AMAZING! They handled the music with great skill and even learned a piece of music that I composed for the occasion. Absolutely wonderful! Definitely professionals that you are dealing with. My daughter was concerned because she had thought they would need to attend the rehearsal. I assured her that these people are professionals and it would be fine....however, it was spectacular!!! I highly recommend them!!

First impressions are critical. You get one chance to “wow” someone or a group of people. Most times, there are no do-overs. When it comes to a wedding, first impressions are even more important because a couple expects that this will be the most magical day of their lives.
My husband and I wanted music to be the first impression for our guests on our wedding day. Music would set the tone for our entire day. Talk about pressure! So, we definitely did our research and interviewed ensembles to play before and during our wedding ceremony at the church. We had only one chance to perfectly “kick off” our special celebration for us and our family and friends.
Our homework paid off. In fact, it more than paid off. We had, hands-down, the most talented string quartet help us celebrate the most magical day of our lives. The Rosewood Ensemble started playing at the church a half hour before our ceremony started, so our guests were greeted with exceptionally beautiful and memorable music. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard our guests talk about how lovely the music was and how much it added to the service. Mission accomplished. The first impression on our wedding day “wowed” our guests.
On top of their exceptional talent, the leader of the group, Dee Sparks, was wonderful to work with, and that’s an understatement. From the beginning, it was evident she wanted us to have music that meant something to us and reflected who we are as a couple. Thank goodness for her extensive knowledge and understanding of music because my husband and I honestly had no idea where to start when it came to picking songs. Dee would make a number of suggestions, and then help us pick which ones were right for us. She helped make our music unique to us because I didn’t want to do what other couples do. I wanted to be different.
Going with Rosewood Ensemble was one of the best wedding decisions we made!!

The Rosewood Ensemble was an exceptional quartet of violinists at my daughter's Catholic wedding. They worked diligently with my daughter, church music director and myself to ensure that the music selections for the prelude prior to the mass provided a beautiful musical interlude for our guests. They played expertly throughout the mass complimenting the Cantor and selected songs. The richness of their string ensemble provided very special and memorable music for my daughter's wedding. Everyone was awe-struck by the their wonderful talent!!!! I would highly recommend The Rosewood Ensemble for your special occasion!!!

The Rosewood Ensemble performed at my wedding ceremony and were absolutely amazing! They are extremely talented and their music is beautiful. It really set a wonderful mood for our guests by playing before, during, and after our wedding ceremony. They went above and beyond helping me to pick out my processional and recessional music as well as recommending a soloist for us to use during our ceremony who was also very talented. They also provide a CD with demos so you can really hear what they will be like in person. I highly recommend them!

Ms. Sparks and her trio were the ultimate professionals, but they were really nice people! They played beautifully at my son's wedding - we couldn't have been happier. So many people commented on them so positively! They were responsive to our needs, flexible, and helped us determine what was best for our particular circumstances. We were in continual communication up to the day of the wedding, so there was no doubt in our minds that this wouldn't be anything but a magical event. They were wonderful! We had a three-piece ensemble play for our ceremony and reception. I wanted live music, but wanted it to be classy and not outrageously priced. They met and exceeded my expectations. We had so many guests compliment the music.

Our guests couldn't stop talking about how wonderful it was to walk into our outdoor wedding space, and to hear and see the Rosewood Ensemble playing a prelude, tucked under some shady trees. The ceremony music was just as exquisite. They truly added a level of festivity and emotion to our already celebratory day, making the experience (and memories) all the better. Selecting music from the diverse list of options was fun (not stressful, like so many other choices!), and Dee was available to answer any and every question we came up with ahead of time.

They play beautiful music. We loved their repertoire and the professionalism they displayed as we planned the wedding. With so many things going on during the big day, having a musical group be hassle-free before during and after the ceremony was so important. The Rosewood Quartet added a special class and elegance that carried throughout our entire experience with them, from booking until the end. St. Louis is lucky to have such an affordable, professional and talented ensemble.

I worked with Dee to coordinate the music for our wedding as we planned to have the string quintet during the ceremony and reception. She was very helpful and responsive and always returned e-mails and phone calls. This is a very talented group of musicians. The music they played for our ceremony was absolutely wonderful and really made the ceremony special. We asked for a lot of special requests and a lot of popular music including ragtime, and it all sounded great! I would recommend them to anyone. To all prospective Brides and Grooms or anyone looking for some wonderful music to make your special occasion memorable or if you are wanting an elegant venue or just a regular style, the Rosewood Ensemble is for you. They play anything from classical to Black Eyed Peas and can make
your Wedding or occasion anything you want it to be. My daughter's wedding was January 18 2014 and even with
the weather not so great, they were there early and performed beautifully. I kept having our guests come up to me asking about them and wishing they had known them when their children got married. Our event took place in October 2013 so we submit these accolades having gone through the selection, planning, and performance stages with The Rosewood Ensemble. We were fully satisfied and beyond.
As a mother, my utmost wish was to create the fairy tale scenario for my daughter. As a musician myself, I was
searching for a team that would bring to fruition our dream music which was very contemporary and specialized; not the traditional choices. I was deeply concerned it might be a struggle to carry off our plans.
But we were not disappointed! Not only were the selections well received and respected, The Rosewood Ensemble made themselves available for extra rehearsal time with the bride and me.
The wedding music was beautifully performed. The quality of their performance was top notch: lush and vibrant. Comment after comment from our guests included raves about the gorgeous music. Even requests for extra recordings if we would allow! And the musicians were prompt and professionally attired. A large concern of mine.
I would be thrilled to recommend this group for any event at any time. It was certainly our joy to have booked them.

This past June, my wife and I were married in Washington Missouri. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the music provided by the ensemble we hired, The Rosewood Ensemble. When we were looking to hire musicians for our wedding mass, this quartet was a definite standout. We had heard great things from others who have used the Rosewood Ensemble and they were able to perform music for a Catholic wedding mass.
I am a musician myself and was very particular about the music I wanted for the mass. The owner of the quartet, Dee Sparks, was very accommodating to the type of mass and music we wanted. She provided suggestions and even was able to have the ensemble learn a new song request. Dee made it a point to periodically touch base with me leading up to the wedding day. This was a breath of fresh air. With all of the various things that need to be completed prior to the actual wedding day, it was nice to know that the ensemble had the music under control.
On the wedding day the ensemble showed up early. They even arrived at the church prior to me! The quality of the music was superb! They played flawlessly. In addition, the cantor for the mass had a voice of an angel. She was easily one of the best singers I have ever heard!
Guests in attendance repeatedly complemented on the music provided by the Rosewood ensemble. Since the wedding, several of the guests informed me that they have gone on to hire the quartet for future weddings that their families will be in.
This group was professional, accommodating, and fantastic from a musical and coordination standpoint. We are so happy we hired this group! It was one of the best decisions we ever made. They truly made our wedding day special and we are forever grateful.

Rosewood Ensemble was great to work with, and played beautiful music for our wedding ceremony. The process began with a meeting between the bride & groom and Dee Sparks, the ensemble's leader. We talked about what we envisioned for our ceremony and she recommended musicians and we reviewed a list of song possibilities.

After narrowing it down, we met again closer to the wedding and she advised us on ceremony flow (being that we've never planned a wedding before), how many people to walk per song, what type of recessional music, etc.

On the day of the ceremony, she arrived promptly and provided us with no worries on the day of our wedding.

AND we had planned for the bride to walk down to a special song that we were going to play on an ipod. When the ipod failed to play, the trio from Rosewood made a quick decision on a song and played masterfully. The audience didn't even know we'd missed a beat.

We strongly recommend using Rosewood Ensemble for your wedding ceremony.

We had such a wonderful experience with the Rosewood Ensemble. Their repertoire is extensive - we were disinterested in the traditional wedding songs and they helped us perfectly capture our personalities through our quirky song choices. Dee was very easy to work with and gave us some great ideas. She even helped us find a wedding coordinator (which ended up being a lifesaver when it stormed on our wedding day). We had a string quartet play at our wedding, but they can provide any combination of musicians that best suit your needs/budget. When I first contacted the Rosewood Ensemble perform at our ceremony, I had high expectations regarding the skills of the string ensemble. My expectations were surpassed by Dee Sparks and her skilled group of musicians.
Dee worked with us to choose music for the ceremony from the Rosewood Ensemble’s extensive repertoire. She was great at making recommendations that suited us. As relative amateurs when it comes to classical music, we also appreciated that Dee brought her iPod to our session so that we could listen to song clips!
Dee and the Rosewood Ensemble were also willing to work with us to perform a song that wasn't in their repertoire, but was especially meaningful to us. It turned out beautifully and was one of the highlights of our wedding day.

The Rosewood Ensemble played a variety of classical, pop and show tunes during our daughter's cocktail and dinner reception at the Missouri Botanical Garden on May 31st. Our guests commented on how the venue felt intimate and elegant and the music played such a huge part in the overall romantic feeling in the room. Dee was wonderful to work with and they have a huge repertoire of music to select from. I'm very happy we chose to use a string quartet.

Perfection is the only word needed to describe Rosewood Ensemble! My daughter chose more contemporary music for the wedding than I originally preferred but it was beautiful and so romantic! They played during the ceremony and then moved into the the cocktail hour space-the guests loved their enchanting sounds.

I didn't get to hear much of the performance, but I did get great reviews from my friends and family. The parts I did get to hear were absolutely gorgeous. Dee was very helpful in music selections and always gave me her honest opinion. I cant wait to see the video from my wedding to hear the rest of their performance. I hired the Rosewood Ensemble to play at my daughters ceremony. Dee was an absolute pleasure to work with and gave me and my daughter advice and suggestions on how to make the most of their talent. I did not even think about music for the cocktail hour and Dee suggested that they stay and play jazz which was a perfect transition from the ceremony until we got to the band at the reception. Dee always got back to us in a very timely manner and met with us to pick out all of the music for the ceremony. I highly recommend the Rosewood Ensemble for any ceremony. They certainly add a touch of class and sophistication to the event.

This ensemble played from the beginning of our wedding reception through dinner. The music was beautifully performed and the musicians gracious, talented and flexible. It was a small reception, and numerous guests told me that they would find themselves stopping their conversations to simply listen to and be transported by this beautiful music. Even more impressive, there was a particular piece I wanted played (Bethena, a waltz by Scott Joplin), but it was not on the ensemble's playlist. Well, they learned it! And played it perfectly! I highly recommend this ensemble.

Thanks to the Rosewood Ensemble we had a beautiful wedding ceremony. We hired the string quartet and they played during our ceremony and cocktail hour. They were absolutely wonderful, Dee was professional and a pleasure to work with. I was concerned with having live music because my now husband is a musician and comes from a very musical family (his sister is a professional clarinet/piano player and his brother is a professional lead guitarist who has played with many bands, his latest tour was the 2010 Lilith Fair). Knowing my husband's family is so musical, I was concerned about their critical ear; but everyone had wonderful things to say about the Rosewood Ensemble. They were on-tune and sounded so beautiful, they even impressed our critical musicians! For any brides out there, looking for a ceremony band or even considering it, I would say you won't regret going with Rosewood Ensemble. They were easy to work with, professional and added so much to the ceremony, it was worth every penny.

Beautiful String Ensemble

We were lucky enough to have the Rosewood Ensemble play at our late October wedding. Dee made the process easy as she is extremely responsive and helped walk us through the music selection process. We talked through various scenarios based on weather and she respected our caution around COVID. The group was very amenable to playing masked, outside, with heaters near by. Their music made the the day so special and would absolutely work with them again.

Rosewood ensemble played our ceremony music and they did an absolutely beautiful job!! We had our hearts set on an obscure renaissance piece for our processional and Dee was able to have it beautifully arranged. Dee also provided great feedback regarding what would sound best for the piece (e.g., encouraging us to add a percussionist for that specific piece, which ended up making a huge difference). We live in DC, so communication was sometimes a little difficult, but email and the phone seemed to work well to get the details sorted out. Ask anyone in St. Louis and they will tell you that Rosewood Ensemble is without a doubt, the best and most well-respected string quartet in the area. We were delighted with our ceremony music and so glad we picked Rosewood Ensemble!

I had a quartet from Rosewood Ensemble play at my wedding and they did an incredible job! They provided just the right ambience for our wedding and were true professionals about our less-than-orthodox musical choices! They were flexible even when they had to change where they were sitting at the last minute and agreed to play along with the hymns we sang in the service.

Dee was wonderful to work with before the wedding too! She sat us down and walked through the choices, giving professional advice as to how to make our music flow better and listening to all of our requests. She was also very quick to respond to my emails and a pleasure to meet with.

All in all a fabulous group, and if you have the money for live musicians at your event, Rosewood Ensemble would be a great place to spend it!

Planning a wedding from Seattle was certainly a challenge and Dee was patient, flexible, and so helpful through the process of selecting music and planning. The ceremony music was absolutely beautiful and so memorable. I know that it gave our ceremony an extra added touch.
