Our Doctor Who wedding was booked for April 22, 2017. I was fortunate enough to have my guests book the inn for the weekend making me the Queen of the World for my special day. If you can manage it, I highly recommend the Queen of the World package. Don't let the price tag scare you away! After your guests book all the rooms, you are only paying for the wedding package that corresponds to your guest count. We also highly recommend having The Roosevelt cater your reception. The food was absolutely fabulous! In the end, every penny we invested into our wedding here with John and Tina was well worth it. Having a themed wedding can be a challenge. Having a venue that allowed me to have free reign for my event was amazing!! In addition to being a proprietor, John is also the minister. Better yet, he happens to be a Doctor Who fan. My theme was based on two episodes of Doctor Who: “The Wedding of River Song” and “Vincent and the Doctor.” John performed our ceremony as Vincent van Gough, super red beard and all. It was amazing! We also had the pleasure of having Scott, John’s brother, as our DJ dressed as a Cyberman. I highly recommend Scott if you are looking for a DJ! One of the things that drew me to the Roosevelt was the love lock that you get. It is a lock with no key. It is two hearts engraved with your names and the date (or whatever you wish to include), that once locked is locked forever. There is an arbor where you can lock on your love lock along with the others who have done the same. It is something you can come back to and visit, for your anniversary perhaps. We will be coming back every year for as long as John and Tina are the proprietors of this perfect little treasure. Thank you both for everything you have done to make this time in my life one of my most beautiful and cherished memories. Words are not enough to express how much I recommend this establishment for everything from a weekend getaway to celebrating the most precious moments in your life.
