Large space and looked great setup for a rehearsal dinner. Had access to the kitchen which helped with making all the food.

This was a beautiful venue! The natural environment only added to my reception. The space is easy to decorate, make sure you check their guidelines and decor policy before. They were easy to work with and were very responsive when contacted!

Denise at the River Center was so helpful while my husband and I were planning our wedding in July. She listened to all our wants and needs and was able to make everything go smoothly on our special day. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND The River Center.

I have been living in Columbia, SC all my life and never heard of Saluda Shoals or their River Center located inside the park. When I first saw the River Center I instantly wanted it to be the venue of my wedding reception. The River Center allows you to book the entire facility for a reasonable fee. They include a kitchen, dance floor, tables and chairs. They even set up the tables and chairs for you before the reception. On the day of the reception all guest loved the venue and none of the guest were bothered by the staff at the River Center. We were allowed to have the facility all day and well into the night so you don't have to rush. The only thing I had a complaint about was on of their employees who was closing that night. This employee rushed some of the wedding party out while they were trying to clean up for closing. Other than that it was great service and a very nice venue for a reception. I would recommend this venue for any type of event.

Get place to have your reception on a budget. The gazebo provides a great photo-op!

I loved the natural feel of the River Center. I looked at multiple venues at varying prices, and nothing came close to the value of the River Center. The staff was easy to work with, and helped to ensure everything was set the day of my wedding.

Saluda shoals is a little costy for what you get. I do like the fact that the inside tables and chairs are included. Mostly everthing else is add on and you have to pay extra ex. Dance floor, led projector, gazebo, outside chairs, cocktail tables. Other than that, it was in my budget so I went with them. The wedding ceremony was outside and they had just finished doing some new landscaping. That made it very pretty! The inside is spacious and I love the lobby area. We setup our bartenders and caterers in that area. Overall great venue to have a wedding and reception all in one place!

The River Center at Saluda Shoals was a beautiful venue to get married at. It rained on our wedding day, so we couldn't use the outdoor gazebo, but they accommodated very easily to have our wedding inside. We could only meet with representatives at the River Center between the hours of 9am until 5 pm, that was the only issue with flexibility. Other than that, we got a great deal for the price we paid to rent the facility!

Used outside gazebo. Clean grounds. In good shady position. Great job with setup of chairs.
Hired outside vendors for decorations/food. They did offer options but found our own.

Great venue! Great cost! Add ons are a little pricey but overall within the budget!

Enjoyed our wedding and had lots of beautiful photos. They were very flexible on arranging stuff inside the venue and where fine with using a different caterer. Only down side is we had to tell them the day before it we were going to do the ceremony in the gazebo or inside. We could not change it the day of if some crazy weather happened. If it was inside, the guest would be seated at the reception tables to try to watch the ceremony with craning necks while we would be in one end of the room. We took a roll of the dice and said outdoors as the weather report said 20% change of rain. Despite severe thunder, it cleared up about 2 hours before the wedding, so we got lucky. Overall very happy with the venue

The venue had a great space for a medium to large wedding. We had both our wedding and reception inside with a little help in arranging chairs. The price is not bad for the size of the facility as well as the time blocks (8 hours). They also supply table and chairs which is a plus. Kind of picky about certain things (only bubbles can be blown as you leave), but overall everything turned out beautiful.

Hard to get on the phone, but lovely venue. I had an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. Plenty of space, everything was set up like I wanted. Good value for what you get. Wish they hadn't changed their "hours" deal after I booked, cost an extra $400 to have the whole day to decorate when I was told at booking I could have the entire day as part of what I paid for.
