Perfect string quartet!

My husband and I have The Rivendell Quartet play before our ceremony and during the processional/recessional for the wedding. Many of our guests who arrived early to enjoy the gardens have commented on how nice it was to have them playing before the actual ceremony! We felt that they were very reasonably priced, and we were able to add on an additional hour for them to play at our cocktail hour! Julie was easy to communicate with, and I am grateful for the part they played in our day!

The Rivendell String Quartet

Julie Morrison could not have been more helpful in selecting music that made a beautiful backdrop for the wedding. The group was extremely professional. They were all so talented. They were also so very easy to work with.

Perfect Choice

I have used Rivendell twice. Nine years ago for my daughters wedding and this month for my sons. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

They are very professional, patient and kind. They are prompt and set themselves up in a calm and quiet manner. Other things may go crazy, but your ceremony/cocktail hour music will not be one of those things.

I did not get to hear much of the cocktail hour music but we received many compliments on Rivendells performance. And the ceremony music was perfect.

I recommend hiring locally to prevent travel emergencies.
The Rivendell quartet puts the finishing touches on your special day. You won’t regret including them.

Wonderful experience with Rivendell

Working with Julie was so easy and pleasant. She shared their playlist and worked with us as we developed our song selections. The quartet arrived promptly at the ceremony and played beautifully during our entire agreed upon time without extended breaks. The quality of the music and the professionalism were top notch. They are an easy recommendation.

One of the BEST parts of our wedding

I can’t say enough about Julie and the Rivendell String Quartet! From the time I first spoke to them to the moment I walked down the isle… they were absolutely amazing!! All of my guest raved about them as well. They were one of the most memorable and best parts of our wedding. I highly recommend them and would use them again. Julie even sent us a letter congratulating us and thanking us for allowing them to be part of our special day.

Rivendell was outstanding!

Julie, was an absolute pleasure to work with and was very detail oriented and professional. She and her husband talked us through all the great options for timing and song suggestions. Superb! Look no further!

Rivendell String Quartet provided the music for my daughte’rs wedding, cocktail hour and the two hours of the wedding brunch reception at Annesdale mansion. My husband was in the top 20 violinists in the state of Texas in high school and describes the quartet as “absolute consummate professionals” (as one would expect from musicians that play in the symphony)! The music was gorgeous, Julie was a pleasure to work with and we couldn’t have been more pleased (and we’re pretty particular)! Julie was extremely helpful, took initiative to contact me when there were decisions to be made and made everything extremely easy and stress-free. I felt I didn’t need to worry a bit with her in charge of music and I was absolutely right!

Timeless Classic

The Rivendell String Quartet is the creme de la creme of quartets! From start to finish my communication with Julie was effortless. She is very responsive and can help you make a decision if you're not sure what you would like to do. I went back and forward on what my song would be when I walked down the aisle. Julie was so accommodating. She works hard to deliver your dream. I remember hearing the prelude music while I was getting ready and it sounded amazing. I got so many compliments on the string quartet! If you are looking to add a touch of elegance to your big day, hire Rivendell right away.

Absolutely Amazing!

The Rivendell String Quartet was nothing short of amazing. Of course, as the bride, I am not able to hear most of the music while in another room, but I was able to go back and watch our wedding video and it was beautiful. A LOT of our guests complimented the ceremony music specifically! I was able to have a few phone calls with Julie, and she was so easy to discuss details with. Once deciding on songs, she assured me that it was my big day and that they could accommodate the songs with how many people were in the wedding party and timing. A string quartet was really the one thing that I wanted for the ceremony, and they did not disappoint! Highly recommend The Rivendell String Quartet!

We had the BEST experience with the Rivendell String Quartet. Mrs. Julie was so kind and easy to work with. She and her quartet worked to accommodate my Christmas wedding and learned Christmas music so that my ceremony would be absolutely perfect. They sounded absolutely incredible and were the highlight of the wedding ceremony. I had SO many people rave about them after my wedding. They are 1000% worth it and so reasonably priced!

Excellent!

I wanted a string quartet for my daughter's wedding. Found The Rivendell String Quartet and they were wonderful! Many compliments from our wedding guests. Julie was SO easy to work with. My daughter wanted the song "Annie's Song" as part of the ceremony. It was not in their repertoire but Julie said they could arrange the music and play it. When we stepped out for the bridal processional, Annie's Song was played and it was beautiful! Couldn't have asked for a better group to work with. I highly recommend The Rivendell String Quartet!

Amazing to work with!

Julie was absolutely wonderful to work with. She really listened to what we wanted and played certain wedding songs that were special to us. She spent a lot of time talking to us to make sure everything was perfect for our day and customized to us for our ceremony. They are also outstanding musicians and super professional. Adding this string quartet to our ceremony was the best decision! Highly recommend!

Wonderful quality, response - Couldn't be happier!

I found Rivendell String Quartet online for my daughter's wedding. They were incredible! The wedding had to be postponed due to Covid and they were so flexible. They also were great with suggestions for musical pieces and even incorporated my daughter's love of Disney selections. They were so easy to work with and Julie is great at handling the details. A bride or anyone else can feel supremely comfortable hiring The Rivendell String Quartet!!

Brought the mood to life.

I can not say enough about this group. We had a winter wonderland themed wedding and the strings were just so magical that it literally sounded like the wedding had come to life. The Rivendell String Quartet was one of the highlights for my wedding and I’m extremely glad that I chose to work with them. My guests enjoyed the procession but fell in love with the selection I chose to walk down the aisle. Julie was lovely to work with. She was easy to contact and very accommodating. We planned and outdoor wedding and reception only to be rained out at the eleventh hour! The Rivendell Trio had the best price I could find and did an absolutely fantastic job. Immediately after the ceremony, the first thing my family said to me was how beautiful the music was. I had to change my music selections a week or two before the wedding because of restrictions at the church, and Julie was very understanding and helpful in choosing appropriate songs.

For our outdoor wedding, I decided to use live music. This was a little bit of a last minute decision but I felt comfortable booking the Rivendell Trio for my wedding. I was in contact with Julie. She was a great help throughout the whole process. I didn't really know what I wanted as far as music selections so she was really able to help me out in choosing the perfect songs. Julie was always quick to return phone calls and answer any questions I had leading up to the wedding. The price was very reasonable for what I was wanting.

The Trio arrived on time and dressed very professionally. The music was absolutely beautiful and exactly what I wanted! I would not hesitate to recommend the Rivendell Trio to anyone looking for live music during your ceremony. Wonderful to work with and highly recommended!!

The Rivendell Trio played at my daughter's wedding on 4/27/2014 at the Cadre building in Memphis, and their performance defined the evening. They are such gifted musicians, and they are so classy. I would hire them again in a heartbeat! Julie was an absolute delight to deal with. I give them 5 stars out of 5, because that's what I'm offered here, but they deserve a 10 out of 10.

The Rivendell Trio played at my wedding in Memphis, Tn. They were absolutely awesome! They were timely and very professional not to mention they assisted me with choosing musical selections that were perfect choices for our event. We are still receiving excellent reviews regarding our wedding and The Rivendell Trio are certainly at the top of that list. If you have chosen them for your event you will not be disappointed, if you are still undecided then look no further! Their contribution to our event was just what we needed to make our wedding memorable and spectacular!

I was very satisfied with The Rivendell Trio. Julie Morrison is extremely kind and works hard to provide you with the music you want. She even hummed songs to me over the phone so that I knew she knew what I was referring to, lol. At our ceremony, these three musicians dressed professionally and looked very elegant seated in the courtyard at Brooks Museum of Art. The music was beautifully played and exactly what I had hoped for for our special day. Julie came up to personally congratulate us after the ceremony and wished us much happiness. I think if you're looking for a classy and elegant way to greet your guests and walk down the aisle, this group is for you! I am more than pleased with their services. Julie is a pleasure to work with.

We contacted the Rivendell Trio by email, and they responded to us right away. They had a large selection of music and were willing to arrange a special piece of music for us even though that was not the direction they chose for us in the end, and they even helped give us suggestions for music to play at the ceremony.

On the day of the wedding, they arrived early, and I felt very confident and comfortable in working with them throughout the entire process. Knowing that you trust your vendors to come through for you on the day of the wedding is a great feeling, and I definitely felt that with the Rivendell Trio.

If you book the Rivendell Trio, you will be getting excellent musicians for a great price.

I first heard this trio on the video from their website and saw how much their music added to the wedding ceremony. This came as no great surprise since they have many years of musical experience. Another thing that impressed me is that fact that they perform some very beautiful and unique arrangements. Julie is an excellent manager and will bend over backwards to cater to your wishes. They are one of the very few set string ensembles in Memphis; I highly recommend this group.

We were very pleased with The Rivendell Trio at our wedding. They were extremely talented and professional. The planning phase was easy, as they were very timely in getting information to us and helping us with music selection. The ceremony music was beautiful and went off without a hitch. We had a somewhat non-traditional flow to our ceremony and they were very flexible and able to provide just what we wanted. All in all, when looking back on our wedding vendors, The Rivendell Trio were among the most professional vendors we dealt with and I would absolutely recommend them them to friends.

I actually heard this trio at one of those huge wedding shows one goes to to try to figure out what to do. This music was heavenly, in fact, I kept saying to my daughter.... "Where is that lovely music coming from, and how do we get it?". When we found them , I got the card and booked them immediately. They are very professional, extremely talented and able to adjust to specific church requirements. You will not be disappointed if you allow Rivendell Trio to help you with any event. I hope to be able to use them again.

Wonderful Wedding Experience

Our experience with the Rivendell Trio was awesome. They played for our wedding ceremony and the cocktail hour prior to the reception. Julie was so easy to work with over the phone for the planning of the big day and she truly wanted to do exactly what we wanted. She gave me a list of all of the songs that they play early on, so I was able to go through the list for a while and pick out just what we wanted. As the bride, on the wedding day, I unfortunately didn’t get to meet her because of how busy it was, yet she communicated with my coordinator, and the ceremony music turned out so smooth and flawless. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is wanting a classic “live music” experience for their ceremony!

Excellent String Quartet

Julie was great to work with, very responsive and friendly. The quartet sounded lovely, everyone at the wedding commented on how nice it sounded. I would definitely recommend The Rivendell Quartet for a wedding or other event.

Loved working with Julie + the rest of the trio! She was so easy to work with and made an effort to get to know me + what I envisioned for my wedding ceremony which I so appreciated! I would give them more than 5 stars on everything if I could! My only drawback was the price.

This group really came through for me. The entire wedding service was brought up to a higher level by their presence. Many weeks after the service, I still get compliments from guests about the musicians and their performance.

Julie and company were wonderful to work with. The same cannot be said about ourselves. We were completely disorganized, indecisive, and distracted. Julie graciously ignored all of that and delivered a performance that made us beam with pride.

When the service started late, it became obvious that we had not chosen enough selections to fill the time. Obvious to myself, that is. The guests never knew because the Rivendell Trio continued to play a selections that blended in perfectly. The ultimate testament to their professionalism--they made us look good.
