Tahoe Ridge Resort is truly a hidden gem! We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful place to celebrate our wedding. The views are absolutely breathtaking, the rooms are incredible, and our guests couldn’t stop talking about how amazing the resort was and how delicious the food was!

A huge thank you to our wedding coordinator, Katie Baumruck, who made the entire planning process so smooth and stress-free. She went above and beyond to ensure every detail was taken care of and truly helped make our dream wedding a reality. We’d also like to thank Blair Kerr for helping us get started with the planning process and making everything feel easy from the very beginning.

We are so grateful to the entire team at Tahoe Ridge Resort for making our wedding unforgettable from the shuttle drivers, dishwashers, groundskeepers, housekeeping, banquet staff, and everyone working behind the scenes. They also have an amazing network of vendors to choose from, which made planning our wedding even easier. It truly took an incredible team to make our day so special. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue for our wedding! The views were stunning, the spaces were beautiful, and the entire staff went above and beyond to make our day perfect. From the very beginning, the planning process was smooth and stress-free thanks to the helpful and organized team at the Ridge.

On the day of the wedding, everything flowed effortlessly—the setup was gorgeous, the staff was professional and kind, and the whole event felt seamless.

We also want to recognize all the behind-the-scenes staff—the shuttle drivers, housekeeping, banquet team, and more—who helped make the day what it was. You can tell that everyone at Tahoe Ridge takes pride in what they do, and it really shows.

Our guests had a fantastic time, and so did we. We’re so grateful to have celebrated our wedding here and would 100% recommend Tahoe Ridge Resort to any couple looking for a beautiful and well-run venue in Lake Tahoe!

We recently got married at The Ridge and I couldn't ask for a better place! The coordinators are very responsive and professional, and they help coordinate all the vendors for you! You pick from a list of photographers, DJs, officiants, and hair and make up professionals and they get them all where they need to be when they need to be! All of the vendors were amazing, and it took a lot of the pressure off me for coordinating. The venue is also gorgeous. The ceremony had a gorgeous mountain backdrop and the reception was right there. I also loved that my guests were able to stay on-site so they only had to walk to their rooms after the reception. We also did a brunch the next morning that was so smooth and delicious. All the guests raved about the food. I really couldn't ask for more from a venue!

Our wedding was an absolute dream! We had a more non traditional timeline and the Tahoe Ridge Resort accommodated every step of the way!

We had our ceremony at 11am, snowboarded from 12-3, and had the reception at 5pm. There was a lot of moving parts and coordination. I legitimately had not a single care in the world that day! Everything was perfectly executed by the Tahoe Ridge Resort team. Blair handled our ceremony and had every ready for us when we showed up. Katie set up the reception and sent pictures of the progress! It made me feel so relaxed knowing everything was handled. The wedding day could not have gone smoother! I am incredibly grateful for Katie and her team!

We just finished our wedding up there at the ridge. Fantastic place for a guest size around 100. Katie was awesome in helping making sure our day went smoothly and that we were taken care of. They have amazing food, great contacts with vendors such as Deon from Tru Blue productions, and great views. The ridge is fantastic if you plan to bring children as well. Tons of small activities like mini golf, swimming, and ping pong to help keep them busy. Very accessible to the handicap as well with shuttles to take you from building to building. We were very happy with our experience here and will definitely be staying here again when we find ourselves in Tahoe. Thanks again Katie & Staff for a wonderful time, you guys made it totally worth it!

Blair was AWESOME. The scenery was everything I imagined it to be. Although it was freezing cold, the weather couldn’t be less than perfect. Blair was so easy to work with and so very accommodating. Love her and her team for making it PERFECT!

Katie and Blair were absolutely wonderful to work with. All the staff involved made our day perfect. It was beautiful. The food was out of this world. The preferred vendors were equally as great. Even through the acquisition from HICV and a pandemic, communication was excellent. I highly recommend The Ridge for your wedding.

The Ridge Tahoe was the perfect venue for our wedding July 18th! Blair and Katie were seriously the best to work with and always had everything under control. This was our third venue due to covid and they made it stress free for us!! Katie was great answering the many questions I had the last couple weeks before the wedding. The food was absolutely DELICIOUS!! Oh man we loved it! And our guests did too! The views are beautiful and we had such a beautiful sunset at our Eagles Nest reception. I can’t thank Katie, Blair and the rest of the staff enough for making our special day better than we even imagined ❤️ I will definitely be recommending this lovely venue to my friends and family ☺️

Imagine a bright blue day in the woods surrounded by birds singing, trees, breath taking views and a very slight breeze...that is what this venue is. It’s stunning and made for the perfect day to celebrate our lifelong commitment to one another.

I (the bride) am a worrier and a tad neurotic. That being said, planning a wedding in between having a high demanding job seemed like a daunting task. Shannon, our wedding coordinator, made planning our wedding seem so effortless. She was incredibly proactive, extremely professional, and had invaluable advice and ideas about our wedding.

It’s one thing to have someone go up to you and say, “don’t worry, your wedding is gonna be great,” which isn’t always reassuring. It was a completely different feeling when Shannon said that — she had everything in control and I had a sense of just enjoying being a bride. We had a few hiccups unrelated to the Ridge (ie. our personal videographer cancelled one week before the wedding) but Shannon did everything to make sure we were set up.

I could not say enough how thankful I am to have had our wedding at the Ridge. The food was top tier — a majority of our guests kept commenting that it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. I also appreciate the kitchen manager’s check ins to make sure my husband and I ate! It was so nice to be taken care of.

To wrap it all up, it was such a picturesque wedding - great weather, a great feeling, happy guests. My then, fiancé and I, decided to go with the Ridge only to find out it was a place my family had visited 20 years prior. We fondly remembered the Ridge as one of the best holiday trips we’ve ever had all those years ago. Well, now we have two unforgettable moments at the Ridge!

My husband and I got married on 12/15/18! I can't believe it's taken me so long to write this review, butI wanted to include photos.
We initially went to visit The Ridge during a weekend when all we did was venue shop, we looked at about 6 places around Tahoe. Blaire was the one who we initially met with, she showed us around and answered all our questions. We communicated mainly through e-mail, and she was super responsive! What we loved was that they had various packages to choose from and basically made us our own featured around what we wanted. They offer preferred vendors who they have worked with and you can choose them or you own which makes it super flexible for any budget. The vendors we worked with were amazing and so profesional! Deon was our DJ and I could not recommend him enough! I was nervous at first because I was thinking maybe he wouldn't know a lot of Mexican or Spanish songs, but he knew how to read the crowd and played what the crowed wanted! I danced to literally every song! Tina was our florist and I knew she understood my vision after our very first meeting. We met with Shannon (our wedding coordinator) during our tasting, and let me tell you she LOVES what she does! She was super sweet and informative and took the time to answer ALL my questions through e-mail or by phone. I just felt so comfortable after each conversation we had, I am so glad she took care of us! we both felt like KINg and QUEEN on our special day. OMG and the food! I can't forget about that, i seriously wish i could have eaten more! Our food was better than I thought it was going to be by far. We chose the buffet with the chicken ana, tri tip, and mushroom ravioli. My husband doesn't even like mushrooms, and he loved that ravioli! Our dessert table was so sweet, we had cookies, cheesecake, ande macaroons dipped in chocolate...Sooo Good. the accommodations were also beautiful and comfortable. I cannot say enough about this place. It is a beautiful place to be and they really make you feel like family.

Our wedding at The Ridge Tahoe couldn’t have gone any smoother, even with crazy weather!! We had a dream of an outdoor wedding, and even after crazy storms and the decision being made to hold the ceremony inside, Shannon found a way to have a small private ceremony outside with just the wedding party and our parents while our guests were being seated for the indoor ceremony. I have to admit, I was hesitant because I didn’t want the guests to wait. But Shannon calmed me and assured me that I would not be sorry, and she was so right! Throughout the entire planning process, Shannon pretty much became my therapist with how many times she had to calm my stress levels! (And let me tell you, my stress levels were extremely high because of my husbands job and the likelihood of him not making it home in time!)
We used their preferred vendors and couldn’t be happier. Tina with Lavish Floral was spot on with my vision (even though I didn’t even know how to describe it!) LakeDJ Derek kept the flow of the rehearsal going and didn’t skip a beat. Dave, our minister, despite only meeting him once before the wedding, connected with us and spoke about us during the ceremony as if he had known us for years! Rachel Lomeli, our photographer was so patient and flexible, and really knew how to wrangle our rowdy wedding party together for pictures.
If there was one thing that all of our guests could not stop raving about, it would have to be the food! The chef and pastry chef go above and beyond with their dishes and desserts. We had so many people wishing they could have another plate, or take an order-to-go!
Overall, we would have our wedding here again in a heartbeat. The only thing I would change, is listening to Shannon from the beginning, and stop stressing about everything ;-)

I got married on 1/19/19 (Very Snowy weekend) at the The Ridge Tahoe Resort (Ceremony and reception all indoors) From my initial email to inquire about the Resort to my final closing email after the wedding, everything was fantastic and amazing! Blair gave us our original tour of the wedding site and facilities, costs, and reviewed what a wedding would look like there. My Husband and I were impressed by the thoroughness and sincerity of that first interaction. Blair is super friendly in making sure all the thousands of questions I had were answered. She reassured me that we could make several ideas I had possible. She showed us the 2 bedroom Suite, which is totally amazing. We loved how big the rooms were and that they had kitchens. Blair also helped to show us the two possible locations to have our dress rehearsal. We ended up picking Eagles Nest and it was all amazing. Shannon was our planner and day-of coordinator - let me tell you that she is a total boss and incredible at what she does! She can do her job so flawless you might as well take and nap and relax. Her responses were always timely and knowledgeable, and she was able to handle whatever questions and ideas we threw at her. I never ever ever once felt stressed out or overwhelmed, thanks to Shannon and The Ridge crew! I trusted Shannon with the entire wedding and all her recommendations. She made the dress rehearsal a breeze. She is perfect at what she does and it is really hard to express my thankfulness and gratitude I have for her! Other important notes: The food and chef (both pastry and head chef) are incredible!! All of the food was absolutely amazing!! Dress rehearsal food and dessert, wedding appetizers, main course, dessert bar and cake- I have not a single complaint from anyone that attended. In fact, I got major complaints about the food and how amazing it was!! Also, the whole reception crew (servers, banquet captain, bartenders) helped us throw the best party we will probably ever throw in our lives - huge shout out! I appreciated the simpleness The Ridge made our planning. They offered packages where they would provide vendors for us including our DJ, florist, officiant. Our DJ, Derek, was top notch - He Kept the guests entertained and the party going. Our florist, Tina, with Lavish Floral, delivered us absolutely stunning pieces and decorations. Our officiant Dave was spectacular with his words! We felt that we could not have chosen a better place to get married and have our reception. From literally that first visit to the wedding day, we knew that we were in great hands with The Ridge Resort and all their staff. Our approximately 85 guests had a total blast, and my husband and I had the best day of our lives. We cannot wait to come back and see Shannon!! Thank you thank you thank you Shannon and Blair!!!

Shannon the Coordinator is fabulous to work with and makes the wedding planning process stress free and simple! The Ridge was absolutely gorgeous and was more than we could ever imagine. The white frosted trees and mountains outside the window of the reception/ceremony area made our December wedding even more magical. The all inclusive package with the resort is well worth it and gives the bride and groom time to enjoy the wedding process instead of stressing over little details. Would highly recommend them to anyone thinking of a South Lake Tahoe wedding. We have also gotten so many amazing compliments from guests regarding how gorgeous it was, the DJ they have on the vendor list as well as the amazing food prepared at The Ridge! Loved having our special day here.

The Ridge Tahoe catered our wedding, and the food was FABULOUS! All of our guests could not stop talking about how wonderful the food was, and about how beautifully it was presented.

On our wedding day, an unexpected thunderstorm rolled through, and the banquet staff from The Ridge jumped quickly into action, moving 9 tables with all of the floral arrangements, flatware, glassware, and silverware from the lawn to the barn seamlessly and quickly- most of our guests did not even realize that dinner was not supposed to be inside!

Our wedding at The Ridge was everything we could have dreamed of! Shannon was amazing to work with! She answered all of our questions in a timely manner and helped us to create the day of our dreams. Our wedding was in April, we were hoping for an outdoor ceremony but due to weather it had to be inside. Thankfully Shannon had provided us with a complimentary upgrade to their indoor venue and made our day magical even with the unexpected snow! Could not have run more smoothly and such a stress free experience. The Ridge vendors were amazing. Tina did a wonderful job with my flowers she really made our vision come to life! I was nervous about my hair and makeup because I did not do a trial but Stacey did my hair exactly like I had envisioned and Nancy made me look and feel absolutely beautiful!

Shannon is Amazing! The most memorable day of my life! It rained on our wedding day and our original plan of having the wedding at the beach had to be changed. Shannon worked it out so we could still have our dream wedding at the beach and then another ceremony back up at The Ridge for our guests! Her hard work and attention to detail were on point. I am so thankful we came across this wonderful venue.

As we live in San Francisco, another thing that attracted us to The Ridge was they offered packages where they would provide vendors for us including our DJ, photographer, florist and hair & makeup artists. Each vendor that we worked with was fantastic!

To sum up a probably rambling novel, we felt that we could not have chosen a better place to get married and have our reception. From literally that first visit to the wedding day, we knew that we were in great hands with The Ridge Resort and all their staff. Our approximately 90 guests had a total blast, and my wife and I had the best day of our lives. We plan to come back and visit whenever we can!

The most perfect place to have a wedding! Shannon the wedding coordinator was amazing, easy to communicate with. Stacy for hair, Tina for flowers, CJ for pictures and Karen for the officiant were all fabulous. Our guest raved about the appetizers and our wedding cake was delicious!!! We sure were one lucky couple. Each and every one of them made the days and day of, so stress free!! The snow for a surprise white wedding was an added touch!! We will forever cherish our time with the ridge! We plan to go back for our anniversary. Such a wonderful place!

We got married at The Ridge Tahoe on 8/19/17 and it was a great experience! Halfway through our year of planning we changed wedding coordinators, and we were worried about that at first, but then we met the new one and she was great! We do not live in Tahoe, so there were a few times during the year that we wanted to come up and have a meeting about the details of our wedding, and each time the wedding coordinator worked with us to make sure that happened. On the weekend of our wedding there was a chance of thunderstorms, and the staff there let us know what all of our options were in case that happened. I was set on wanting the ceremony outside in the garden as long as it was not pouring rain on us, and luckily it worked out for us! We had some thunder right above our ceremony, but the staff there made sure that we started the ceremony on time. Thankfully we were able to make it through the entire ceremony and pictures afterwards without it raining on us. All of the vendors that they connected us with (officiant, photographer, DJ, etc) were also amazing and made this experience of planning a wedding so great for us! I would recommend this location and their staff to anyone, and we will definitely be coming back to stay here!

We loved this venue! Katie and Shannon were so wonderful to work with and always helped with any questions I had about the wedding. We never wanted the day to end! Absolutely could not be happier!

We had our ceremony here and it was nothing short of amazing! The view is incredible and the guests loved it.

We are so happy that we chose The Ridge for our wedding ceremony and reception location on 4/16/16! Every aspect of the The Ridge's services from the wedding planning to the post wedding clean up was flawless. The food was awesome as well! Our guests had an amazing time and incredible accommodations for a great price. All of our guests (40 people) stayed at least 1 night there during our wedding weekend. We were lucky to have beautiful weather for an outdoor ceremony because we heard the following weekend it dumped over 14 inches of snow! There was something so peaceful and magical about our wedding day & it all has to do with the location. The Ridge Tahoe is hands down the best place to get married!

The Ridge Tahoe was an amazing place to have our wedding and reception! Katie, our event coordinator, made everything so simple for us. She took care of everything and made sure that we were thrilled with everything. I am SO happy that we had our wedding at The Ridge. I wouldn't have changed a single thing! The venue is beautiful, the flowers were beautiful, the DJ was awesome, the food was delicious and the hair and make up team that they use is beyond amazing! Stacy and Amber made all of my bridesmaids and myself look great! Stacy even came with us for the first look since the weather was crazy windy.. we did a few touch ups along the way to make sure our photos turned out perfect!

Planning a wedding from the east coast, I needed something that was a "one stop shop" and The Ridge Tahoe was the perfect fit. They made my planning easy, stress free and they were very efficient. The guests LOVED the rooms and the convenience of having everything on the property with the shuttles to take them to and from the various sites. You often hear of how stressful the bride is on the day of her wedding because of all the last minute items, but The Ridge Tahoe took care of everything and all I has to worry about was showing up! Absolutely great experience.

I had a wonderful experience at The Ridge! Great food, beautiful venue, friendly and helpful staff!

We have always heard about the delicious food at the Hungry Bear Restaurant but never had an opportunity to have dinner here because every weekend it is closed due to a party. So we decided
to have our wedding here! I originally worked with Blair Varela who made the initial booking process simple and easy. Once Blair secured our vendors I began coordinating with Wendy Smith the Event Planning Manager at The Ridge Resorts.

I live in the bay area so all of my contacts with Wendy was through email. Wendy was absolutely a pleasure to work with and she is excellent at her job. Wendy made us feel so comfortable during the planning process. Wendy promptly responded to every question I sent her and made detailed notes in the contract. I felt that Wendy had thought of everything for us and when we finally met her for the first time at our Tasting Day I knew all we had to do was show up for our wedding. Wendy provided us with several suggestions (duet plates and specialty desserts) that fit into our wedding style. We had a special treat for our guests (vodka and pickle shots) during the ceremony. Wendy could not have coordinated this part more perfectly! Wendy was very personably and made us feel part of the Ridge family.

I also wanted to mention your food and bar service staff. Stephen the head chef presented himself so passionately at the tasting day. The food we sampled was delicious and he assured us it would taste the same at our wedding. Our guests were not disappointed. We received several compliments from our guests telling us that this was the best wedding food they every ate! The bar staff was amazing and accommodated everyone's needs.

I would suggest to anyone that is planning a wedding at The Ridge Resorts to take advantage of the tasting day. This is the opportunity to meet all the vendors as well as Blair and Wendy. I would highly recommend The Ridge Resorts to anyone who wants a top notch wedding in Lake Tahoe.

Blair was our daughters wedding coordinator at The Ridge. She was very professional and available to answer all of our questions and concerns. She was also helpful in remembering all the small details that we would have totally forgotten with all the excitement of the big day. She definitely took a lot of the stress away. When we originally met Blair we told her we wanted to feel like a guest at this wedding, in other words, we didn't want to feel like wedding planners. They took care of everything! All of "their people" (florist, DJ, photographers, etc.) were awesome and got the job done very well. We were very impressed on how smoothly everything ran when the time came. They are definitely a one-stop-shop and at a great value for all that they do. All of our guests were totally WOW'ed at how nice everything looked and the food was very delicious too. We heard nothing but compliments from our family and friends. One other very convenience factor was that most all of our family/friends were able to stay in beautiful 1 or 2 bedroom suites right on the property so we never had to worry about guests drinking and driving after the event was over... Blair was able to provide a group discount to everyone who came to celebrate my daughters big day!

The Ridge was amazing. They handled the food, venue, and alcohol. They also do deserts too but I brought a person in to do that. They had great recommendations for a DJ and for a hair and makeup person, and I brought my own flowers in. It was a great experience.

The Ridge and Blair did great, my wife and I are very thankful she was there to always answer any and all questions that we had.

We could not have been happier with the Ridge site, their help with planning, the food served, the servers and overall outcome of our wedding day. Blair and Wendy were so helpful prior to and day of our wedding, right to the end. Anything we asked for was responded to and what we did not know to ask was brought to our attention by Wendy and Blair in order to make the day go smoothly. I can say that myself and my husband had nothing at all to worry about on the big day which allowed us to thoroughly enjoy the event and our guest. Thank you Ridge Tahoe and your crew for the most amazing day we could ever have asked for!!!

From the first time we met with Blair Varela, 13 months prior to the wedding, she was wonderfully confident and knowledgeable. We were able to have a Chef preview, where we could sample all the food the Ridge had to offer.
It was a perfect venue, and a simply wonderful wedding!

Everything was amazing!

Wendy was the best wedding coordinator a girl could ever ask for! She was responsive, understanding ... and just a pleasure to work with. The venue is a beautiful place to hold a wedding. I'm so glad we made the decision to get married up there. I wouldn't have changed one thing. It was perfect!

The Ridge Tahoe Wedding Planners are awesome. They were so flexible in creating a wedding package that fit my needs. The food was amazing and the staff were on it. I loved the guest rooms and the amazing view from the ceremony site. Blair and Wendy Rock!!! I would recommend this property to anyone wanting a super easy wedding planning experience, they have all of the vendors provided for you.

This was the perfect place for my wedding. Blair, the wedding coordinator was fantastic and I had no worries at all. Plus, the view was spectacular and all the pictures look amazing. The food they made for the reception was also amazing and all the vendors that suggested I work with made this an easy and perfect wedding. The suite we had in the tower was large and cozy at the same time. There was so much to do at the resort and both the deli and the restaurant are good. One warning for guests, this is a time share.. the staff is fantastic, but it's different than a hotel.

As a bride from out of state, I found the wedding planning to be extremely helpful. The staff at the ridge gave me a list of all of their vendors, and I picked the things I wanted and the wedding planner took care of the rest. I didn't have to stress about a thing. The vendors the ridge uses are also great. The cake vendor is amaizing and I can honestly say that I have never tasted better cake then from the Ridge's cake vendor (Flour Girl Wedding Cakes). Also the florist was amazing. I was unable to go to the flower vendor in person so I sent photos of bouquetts that I liked and the vendor was able to come up with amazing bouqetts for me and my bridesmaids. The DJ was great too and had a huge selection of music. I also like that ceremony site and reception are all at the same venue. I specifically love the garden for the ceremony site. It provides for some amazing photos.

The Ridge was great. Kailey was so attentive to our needs and helped us to tmake our special day everything that we wanted. The resort was great and made all of our guests feel welcomed.

I would absolutely recommend The Ridge for your wedding. We had our reception here, and Kailey was wonderful. We began planning a year in advance, and she was on top of everything every step of the way. I communicated to her mostly through emails because it was easiest, and she always responded within 48 hours. The serving staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. We had a special request for a roast pig, a tradition for a filipino wedding, and they were able to accommodate our request. Everyone loved it! Kailey and the staff were able to set up our room to our exact specifications, and it was stunning. They all did a great job. If you are getting married in the South Lake Tahoe area, you have to visit The Ridge. The resort itself is a fun get-away.

The Ridge was an absolutely lovely place to get married. We looked at several other places in Tahoe, but nothing compared to the Ridge. The fact that they provide you with a list of vendors to choose from and provide a coordinator makes wedding planning so much less daunting. We got our first choices from our list of vendors and they were all INCREDIBLE. The location is beautiful. It was so nice being able to have all of our guests stay on property at a very affordable rate. The food was wonderful. Our coordinator Katie helped us so much throughout the whole process and always answered my endless list of questions. We highly recommend The Ridge for your wedding.

Wonderful staff and so far an easy and stress free experience!

We recently got married on 2/16 and our day could not have been any more perfect. It stormed all weekend and did not stop until Sunday night - it as perfect for a white wedding which is what i always wanted!

The experience started off with Blair. We met with her and she was very polite, caring and knowledgeable. She briefly showed as around the property as during that weekend a storm was rolling in. She was a champion and faced the storm to show us the outside venue. She quickly answered all of our questions and gave us a nice little packet of information. She checked in with me on multiple accounts to be sure everything was going smoothly. I will be the first to tell you that I definitely had a "Bridezilla" moment with Blair, but she was very professional and calm during my "Bridezilla" moment and didn't lose her cool at all. She connected me to the all vendors I requested and managed to book all the ones I chose/wanted.

One of the people she put me in contact with is Shannon, who was our wedding coordinator. She took the time to go over every little detail with me over the phone regarding our big day. I am not the girly girl type so a lot of wedding lingo is very foreign to me and Shannon did not miss a beat and answered all my silly questions. The rehearsal was a breeze and we didn't have everyone there due to the storm, and she didn't skip a beat and was able to run through it all without any problems. I wanted an outdoor wedding and was very "gunho" about being on the deck, but unfortunately the weather won about 2 hours before our wedding. Shannon kept me up to date the day of with any changes in management decisions as far as safety was concerned. She continued to check in and was super understanding when I was running late! She made us all take a deep breathe the day off and calmed my whole wedding party down before I walked down the aisle. She is seriously a boss at what she does and is killer at it no less! She even got a couple pictures of us during the ceremony and our chocolate fountain which was the one and only must have request from my husband. She is very kind and detailed oriented and makes sure your special day is not only memorable, but flawless.

Couldn't have asked for a better experience for my big day! Thank you so much ladies! I appreciate all that you did to make my winter white wedding dream come true! :o)

Shannon the wedding coordinator at The Ridge out did her self this last weekend and our wedding. We were blow away and wouldn’t have changed a thing. From the very beginning The Ridge made wedding planning super easy since we live in Sacramento. We initially got contacted with Blair who answered all my millions of questions I had for her. Once we decided on The Ridge we were in contact with Shannon. The venue is breath taking, the food for the reception was mouth watering, and the staff out did their self. If anyone is looking for a beautiful venue with a wedding coordinator I would highly recommend The Ridge.

We had our wedding at the garden ceremony site and it was beautiful. We stayed in the 1 bedroom suite and it was a beautiful room, very spacious, all equipped. We will stay there again and again..

My guests and I loved the Ridge. The food was fantastic and the location perfect. My only complaint would be that during the course of the 8 months prior to my wedding, they went through 3 different wedding corrdinators.

The Ridge has been such an excellent venue all the way through the process! We are getting married this winter and through the whole planning process we have been taken care of!

We loved everything about our reception. The staff was great to work with. Kailey was especially helpful and explained options to us that we didnt know we had. Everyone LOVED the food. The bartender was awesome and very accomodating, as were the wait staff. We loved everything about our reception, and our accomodations afterwards. We hope to come back!!!!

The Ridge hosted a beautiful winter wedding for my wife and I earlier this month. The heavy snow prevented several guests from coming, but Blair, Katie and the rest of the staff were very accommodating to last minute changes. The decorations and photography were beautiful and the food was excellent. Servers Tom and Yvonne were friendly, prompt and helpful. The hotel itself is very nice and offers discounted rates when rooms are booked in bulk for wedding parties. Great venue.

The Ridge Tahoe was a perfect venue for our wedding. I was looking for mountain views and a package that would handle all the details for me since I was planning a wedding out of town. Shannon (wedding coordinator) talked through every detail as the wedding date approached and I felt at ease. The day of, she listened to all my concerns and everything went off without a hitch! My guests couldn't stop talking about how this was their favorite wedding. The food was probably one of the best things about my wedding besides the amazing views from the venue and just having my family and friends there. I recommend this for anyone who is looking for the perfect mountain wedding where little planning is needed!

The only criticism was that the last few tables had to wait a pretty long time for their food.

I highly recommend The Ridge! The whole staff was amazing and made planning our wedding a breeze. The catering and special events managers essentially planned aspects of our wedding for us, which was super helpful from far away. The value was amazingly reasonable as well. The only warning I have is to pay attention to what is included in your wedding package; we did have to do some add-ons to what was included.

Our wedding was perfect and exactly what we wanted. It was such a beautiful venue and the staff was very accommodating. The fact that they connect you to all of the vendors you need made it very easy to plan. We planned a wedding with 150 guests in less than 6 months. If you are looking for a Tahoe setting this is the place to do it.

Pros
-- The venue itself is gorgeous, with breath taking views & outdoor spaces.
-- The food was delicious, as was the cake & desserts! Everyone complimented us on the amazing food! The venue/chef was very accommodating & flexible with the food options & even had kid friendly entrees available.
-- The Ridge has tones of amenities to take advantage of, including pools, hot tubs, restaurant, bar, and Spa.
-- Wonderful saff

Cons
-- They do not offer hotel blocks for weddings/events. It is a first come, first reserved basis. Also, if your friends family do stay at The Ridge, they may not stay in the same building (there 3+ buildings they may be housed in).
-- Hotel reservations are made through a 3rd party website, & we had difficulties with the pricing matching the pricing in our contract. Our wedding coordinator worked with us & the website, however it was A LOT of added stress. Trying to delete cookies & browser history, using different web browsers etc. And some of our guests paid more than they should have. Also, the contracted pricing ends 30 days prior to your event, so guests need to book early in order to take advantage of the discount.
-- The rooms didn’t have any air conditioning to speak of & it was a warm weekend. They did have these portable AC units, however they didn’t work great.

Pro/Con
-- Our coordinator Shannon was very friendly & helpful. At times communication was lacking, and we had a big miscommunication on room pricing & the website fiasco. It didn’t help that we first met & worked with Blair to tour the facility & sign our contract. Then we had Katie as our day of coordinator, who was marvelous, detail oriented & organized. (We met Katie for our tasting in March.) However, Katie was promoted & Shannon became our coordinator at the end of March. Shannon was great, I just wasn’t overly impressed.

All & all, we had an absolutely amazing weekend & our guests did as well!

The Ridge Tahoe was a destination wedding for us. Our wedding Coordinator Blair took care of everything with very little stress on my part. Couldn't have asked for a better day.

Wonderful staff, wonderful accomodations, beautiful wedding ceremony location. Truly, a pleasure to work with. All our guests stayed at The Ridge and truly enjoyed the property and accomodations. We LOVED our suite and the pricing offered for groups was great. The garden offers a great backdrop for a special day. We have some amazing photos! The option to do just ceremony vs. a whole wedding package is what sold us. The pricing is a little high as it's a la carte for ceremony only but, overall, still reasonable and highly recommended!

Kailey and Rhonda were amazing throughout the whole process. They responded superfast to my emails and were never annoyed by my toooons of questions I asked just about every day. They set up all my decorations beautifully and as designed/planned. The food was amazing (you HAVE to try to Whiskey Hunter and the Chicken Anna!!!). The banquet captain was very responsive to our needs during the reception. Due to all of the minimum $ amounts and having an intimate wedding, I feel like I could have spent a lot less elsewhere for the same thing. I also wish they were a little more flexible in their policies regarding what you can bring in (either through outside vendors or yourself). The bartender was playing on his cell phone between serving guests. Overall, our wedding was great and I can honestly say nothing went wrong that day, mostly thanks to the planners.

The Ridge Tahoe was a beautiful venue to get married. Everything was perfect from The food to the flowers and how flexible our wedding coordinator was. Everything was included in my package so all I had to do was give my ideas to the vendors at a meet and greet. So easy and just little stress...as expected.

We used The Ridge for our catering at Round Hill Pines. We used them because we didn't have a choice. The tasting had very good food but the majority of it wasn't what was on our menu options for our particular venue. The food was pricey, but thats to be expected from a caterer for a wedding. They weren't very flexible with the options for mixing up for vegetarians and meat eaters. We ended up just doing a pasta and a chicken as the main dish, but it was delicious and all of our guest loved the food. We were happy with the Ridge in the end and would recommend them solely based on the food being very tasty.

Things were very good here. The location is beautiful and our guests got a good rate on rooms. Chef Stephen's menu is delicious. Since we live some hours away, and I'm a doctoral student, it was extremely helpful that they were able to arrange our vendors and put it all together in one affordable package.

We had two wedding coordinators, the one who helped with all the planning and the one that focused more on the weekend of. The first was pleasant and professional. The second was generally professional, but less pleasant.

If I could change anything, it would probably be the amount of personalized attention we got. Sometimes our appointments would be forgotten, or things would have to be finalized again when I knew we had already taken care of that and had discarded my notes. For example, the cake was small and was supposed to be split among the bridal party, but midway through the event, one of the guests came up to me and commented on how delicious the cake was. There was none left over for us, and I got one bite of my wedding cake, which yes, had to be finalized again even though we had chosen the frosting months before. I had to hastily choose the frosting at the last minute, so I'm pretty sure I picked the wrong one. All in all though, it was a great evening. I would recommend this location, and I would also recommend insisting on one coordinator with consistent attention.

The Ridge provided our reception location and hooked us up with vendors for a lake side ceremony, DJ, cake, food, photography, flowers, and hair and make up. I can't even tell you how pleased I am with the vendors used or how convenient it is to have it all in one package managed by the Ridge. We got three nights free in a honeymoon suite and free hair/make-up for the bride. We were also offered discount 'day-of' coordination services and on-site rehearsal.
The Ridge Resort, just as a resort, is awesome. Great amenities, lots of space and activities. We were pleased with the food and the service during the wedding and throughout our stay. Coordination leading up to us actually arriving in the area (we planned from VA - sight unseen - I like to live on the edge ;)) was great. Blair was very patient with my lack of wedding knowledge and always answered my questions quickly in the months leading up to our wedding. We had trouble with the 'day-of' coordination (miscommunication, lack of communication, lack of coordination, poor time management, and even some potential rudeness), but everything turned out great in the end and our complaints have been managed very professionally by management.

I would recommend the Ridge Tahoe as a venue for ceremony or reception. It is stunning, the vendors are great, and the food is wonderful. I would only recommend their wedding coordination services with the admonition that they should be absolutely sure their expectations are clearly communicated and understood by the coordinator. I really thought ours were and I'm not sure what happened that made things more difficult on site v. from a distance.

We were slightly disappointed with the cake taste - it was dry. Rooms were very nice, however, we were not able to use the building nearest the wedding site due to remodeling.

I had a destination wedding at this venue July 2016. The wedding coordination and group sales were fabulous. Blair and Katie were great to work with, quick to reply to emails, clarify details, etc. I decided on a wedding package to make the whole occasion as stress free as possible. Be careful of this, I didn't get copies of contracts, ANY extras will cost you, clear down to additional (two pictures) photography editing. Through the package we selected the officiate, florist, photographer, and hair/make-up artist. All vendors were great to work with and seemed to have a good relationship with the Ridge. I worked with Katie more than Blair as Katie as the coordinator.

While the wedding ceremony & reception went well. We had significant issues with the reservations department. We had lost reservations (though my guests had a printed off confirmation), dealt with disrespectful and rude front desk personnel, and while the rooms were clean and stocked as timeshare, they were dated with no air conditioning.

If I had it to do over, I'd still book my wedding at the Ridge as the views and location are wonderful but I'd be sure to find accommodation elsewhere!

Just got married at The Ridge and was not impressed with service. The coordinators did not follow up with vendors and therefore all my flowers were wrong, the table arrangements were nothing I chose my bouquet had the wrong flowers. Since I was out of town I never saw them until the day of my wedding I didn't know if to cry or embrace the change. My cake was white and I asked for strawberry flour. The service of hotel was slow and uncaring the only ones that made it better were housekeepers.

I came two days early to make sure everything was prepared. Blair is a nice person,but I was disappointed to realize at the reception that some of the decorations I'd come early to discuss were not taken care of. Overall, Blair seems good,but you should rely on her for the overall plan of the wedding and not the little details.

You would think that renting a reception space and paying for a full service meal for a large group of guests would grant you permission for a car parking space for the bride and groom. You would be wrong. Not only did the guard tell my husband and I that we needed to turn around our car and take the shuttle to our reception, but he yelled at us.

Our guests were warned in advance to park elsewhere. However, we were under that understanding the we would be able to rush up there in our car due to the post-ceremony photos. We also thought the photographer was allowed to park there, but he was told to turn around. I later found out that the manager of The Eagle's Nest mistook one of my guests for the photographer and yelled at him for parking, even though that guest has no car.

We were told that we could bring our own cake and store it in the refrigerator, and it would be set out two hours before the reception. It was stored in the deep-freezer and only brought to the venue at the start of the reception. When we went to cut the cake,it was still frozen solid.

Our contract said that we had the venue until 9 pm, but that we would be allowed to pay for another hour if we needed it. We were also told that the live band would not be an issue. The manager of the venue came in BEFORE 9pm and VERY rudely shut down the sound system and told our guests to leave. I felt more like I was a dog crapping on someone's lawn than a hostess at my large, expensive event.

The venue told us that we could come back the next day to pick up the bottles of wine which hadn't been opened (we brought our own). When we came back to get the wine,it was gone.
