Book The Regent for a Fairy Tale Wedding
I had my wedding at The Regent earlier this month. The entire wedding went smoothly. The event manager (Faith) is easy to communicate with. She responded to my emails in a timely manner. She is also professional and friendly. Faith was able to give my wife and I an initial tour of the venue via Facetime (we live out of state). The venue has a courtyard and ballroom. The Regent provides white outside chairs for the courtyard, rectangle and circle tables, and certain color table clothes. On the day of the wedding they will allow access to the venue 6 hours before the ceremony. They have a bridal suite for the bridesmaids and a conference room area for the groomsmen. They allow 5 hour total of event time (wedding/reception). The outside terrace has marble floors. There is ample parking here. Many of the guests at the wedding commented on the regal look of the venue. If you are having a wedding in Tampa, I would recommend for you to choose The Regent as the place to start your happily ever after. You will get alot of value for a good price.The Regent's reply:

Stunning Venue and accommodating
The Regent is a beautiful wedding venue and the staff is excellent. They are very responsive and available whenever you need them. This team was very accommodating when it came to postponing our wedding. Everything went off without a hitch. They make the planning process super stress free especially when it comes to those fine details we have weeks out from the big day. Their vendors are great and their constantly adding to and innovating their inventory and space. My guests had a ton of fun. The Regent has just what you need and 3 beautiful ballrooms with a jaw dropping chandelier in each one, assured to make you feel like the King and Queen of the night. Fun team and easy to work with. They setup and tear down all equipment they provide which is a lot, so if you're thinking of buying your own decor, check with the Regent first. Big wedding tip for ya. Thanks, Regent. -

Location of dreams
Faith was an absolute pleasure to work with, always very sweet and was extremely helpful. The venue itself is absolutely GORGEOUS!! Beautiful chandeliers, statues and a gorgeous staircase that makes a beautiful backdrop and an amazing grand entrance for coming down the aisle. Definitely give this place a visit since it can be suited to just about any theme!! -

I could not be more pleased with my whole experience at the Regent!! From the moment I walked in for the tour to the very end of my wedding night I felt like I was at home at the Regent. Everyone who I worked with there were so friendly and they really made me feel like the most important person in the world. I absolutely love the staff at the Regent and was so pleased to have my wedding at this venue!! They are knowledgeable and accommodating. They took very good care of me and my husband and made sure this bride felt super special on her wedding day!! They also have a great vendor selection which made my life super easy when choosing!! From the moment I did a site visit to the last few moments before and after my wedding , the staff at the regent was nothing but amazing!! They made the experience of finding a venue less stressful. I would recommend this venue to anyone that's looking for something extravagant. I got nothing but great compliments from my guest about how wonderfully amazing the venue was, it's literally a mansion on a budget!!The Regent's reply:

The regent was awesome great staff and amazing building. We had no issues leading to the wedding. Julie was a great help along with Christina and Natalie. I had the best wedding and everything we hoped for it was a spectacular day. Thank you regent family for making the Lucas wedding awesome I recommend this place to anybody looking for a venue for their big day. -

Hillsborough County Aging Services Department had their "Senior Prom" event at this location for the first time this year, and it was fabulous! The facility is gorgeous inside and out, and the staff that were so very attentive to every detail.

It was difficult to find a wedding venue that could fit the number of people we wanted, while remaining affordable. With the Regent, we got both. More than that though, the venue itself was beautiful. The Regent truly is a hidden gem. We got married at Nativity Catholic Church in Brandon, and the Regent was only a quick ride away. We were very pleased with the Regent throughout our wedding planning experience. The staff was excellent with communication and assistance throughout the planning process. We want to give a special thanks to Christina for designing the layout of the room, and to Julie who went above and beyond in answering every annoying question we had including recommendations on outside vendors. We could not have been more pleased with the Regent and highly recommend it. -

The bridal suite was a bit small, but me and my girls utilized the guys room especially since we were there all day. Everyone that we delt with there was super nice, responsive and just very nice. My wedding was the best day of my life! Perfect venue and location!The Regent's reply:

The regent is absolutely gorgeous I had my ceremony and reception there about 150 people and it was great we still had plenty of room to dance and move the outside balcony is amazing for pictures or just for guest to go and enjoy outside we loved the regent would definitely recommend it to anybodyThe Regent's reply:

This is a very beautiful and spacious venue with hardwood floors, 22 foot ceilings, vertical columns on the outside, and marble statues in the inside. The staff (Julie and Christina) are very courteous and helpful and were a pleasure to work with. We had 200+ guest at our wedding and everyone complemented on the reception. -

I was able to collaborate with my Regent contact, Christina, despite being overseas for most of the planning process. They were extremely flexible and helpful in organizing meetings with other services during the 6 day window I had to meet with everyone. . Thank you Julie and Michelle for all of your help in making our wedding day, the best night of our lives. The Regent is amazing , used rooms B and C for our Reception we had enough room to have a buffet table, Photo Booth and tons of table and dancing space. They were able to help all of our vendors with any questions or assistance on the day of the wedding. And they made sure to accommodate all of my needs when it came to floor plan for the event. I also got my linens with them and Michelle helped me get my perfect colors to coordinate with all of my decorations. When it came to setting up things before the wedding they were zoo flexible with me. These ladies are amazing, I am so thankful they were so helpful with everything i needed for the wedding day. Definitely would recommend The Regent to anyone who is planning a wedding or big event. They were always available when I had a question and very helpful in suggesting ideas when needed. They ordered and supplied all the linens exactly how I wanted and my wedding was the dram wedding that I've always wanted. The Regent was absolutely the best and my husband and I are extremely happy that we chose this location for our wedding. We initially began our planning process with Lauren, but during the process transitioned to Michelle who was just as great. Kenyatta, a member of the staff was also great to work with!! Each staff member would be available whenever we needed them. Special kudos to Michelle for working diligently with one of the decor vendors to accomplish a goal after running into a bump in the road. This place was amazing! What made it even better than the beautiful architecture was the experience that I had working with Julie and her staff. They were amazing! Julie is so personable, involved, and genuine. I truly felt like she cared about making my event special and was not focused on "making a sale." Her level of availability remained the same even after receiving the "final payment." In my eyes, that says a lot about her character. We had our wedding a rehearsal at The Regent in Riverview and we absolutely loved it! First of all, The Regent was our saving grace after we learned that our first booked venue was not going to work. Julie was our main contact and she was amazing. Emails were always quickly responded to and she made sure that everything was in line plenty of time before the wedding. I had no idea that she was going to stay on site for the entire day and night of events, but it was awesome that she did. Anything that came up on the day of she was able to help with! She worked hand in hand with our day of coordinator from Event Design (Jennifer). If you are looking for the additional guidance definitely use Event Design. Julie and Jenn were the perfect team!!
All of our guests loved the venue because of its elegance and architecture. Since the wedding we have continued to hear great things about our choice to have our wedding at The Regent. We would definitely recommend this venue to all of our friends and family. Even if it isn't a wedding, their ballrooms are perfect for any hosted event! Their prices are definitely reasonable also. My daughter celebrated her sweet sixteen at The Regent last Saturday. She had a great time with family and friends. The staff was courteous and very friendly. Julie facilitated our event it was like having a personal assistant at our fingertips. She was so helpful and made sure everything went off without a glitch. I would recommend The Regent to anyone wanting to host a glamorous event. Not only are their facilities immaculate but their staff exceeded our expectations with superb service.The Regent's reply:

Our wedding at The Regent was absolutely PERFECT! The venue is great, the property is beautiful, and the air works great for a summer wedding. :) Not only is the venue BEAUTIFUL, but The Regent's staff members are more than helpful. Julie was so helpful from start to finish. She had to deal with my hectic schedule before the wedding and never complained. One Saturday she even came in on her day off to answer a few questions and do our room arrangement for our ceremony. On the day of my wedding, Julie was there every step of the way. She went above and beyond to make sure that my day ran smoothly. From fluffing my train before I walked down the aisle, to giving me safety pins to fix the broken strap on my dress- she was AMAZING!! I could not have asked for a better wedding venue. Everyone that works there was so catering and excited and helpful, and Lauren made sure not a single thing went wrong, that I know of which is all that really matters! The building is so beautiful, you should be able to save a ton on decorations because none are really needed! Everything about this venue is worth 5 stars! -

It is such a unique, spacious and affordable venue for our Holiday Charity Ball. Plenty of parking, clean, well decorated, designed and easy to find for our guests. The Regent is the perfect venue for for any event, specially a wedding. I fell in love with the venue from the moment I saw it. Not only is it beautiful but also convenient. The bridal suite was perfect to relax and get ready and the split rooms were perfect for the wedding and reception. It was such a pleasure to work with Kristen and Lauren. The regent is an excellent place to host your event. My wedding went on without a hitch (that I was aware of) and that is what you need on your wedding day. You need a team were if something goes wrong or a problem arises, you don't have to worry about a thing or even know about it.
The venue was great, clean, and all my guest were raving about how beautiful the venue was.
The staff was by far the best part. They all had a smile on their faces, and Kristen did everything she could to make me and my entire family and bridal party comfortable. She even contacted me the week before just to calm me down and ensure me that she had everything under control and to let her worry from that moment on. That type of service is something money can't buy. I would recommend the Regent to everyone. It's worth the money.The Regent's reply:

We had our reception for about 180 guests at the Regent and it was more than I could have ever imagined. Kristen was the best to work with. We had been planning my wedding for about a year and she was always there to help, thought of things I would have never dreamed of, and was very professional and fast to respond to my million emails and all my little changes. The day of the wedding was flawless and if there were any hiccups, Kristen made sure I didn't know about them. I couldn't have asked for a better venue or experience. Thank you Kristen!

This is a beautiful and flexible space. Every detail was attended to and the coordination between our vendors was smooth. Every event has a hitch or two, BUT if anything happened behind the scenes we didn't know it. When we arrived at The Regent as the parents of the Bride it was a joyful, calm celebration and not one minute of our time was pulled away from our family and friends to check on anything, Kristen Kerr is a lovely professional, detail oriented event manager and it was our pleasure to work with her. -

We had our wedding and reception here. Thank you to Kristen for her help with everything. We were going to have our ceremony outside but with the hurricane coming she let us move it inside. It worked out better that way. We could always get in contact with Kristen either phone or email. She helped with anything she could. She knew who to contact for what and stays in contact with the vendors she suggested using. She is a big help if you have any problems with anything vendor wise.
The Regent is a beautiful hall to have a wedding at. Especially with out of town guest staying at the Hilton Garden Inn around the corner. They have a shuttle that runs to and from The Regent so guest don't have to drink and drive. It's all around a wonderful place to get married and has amazing vendors to work with. My wedding and reception at The Regent was more than I could have ever dreamed of. The venue itself is spectacular. It does not require loads of decorations which is one of the things I loved about it. The high ceilings and wood floors can make any event look elegant and beautiful.
Julie and Michelle were so helpful and made my planning a breeze. Julie's response to anything I asked was "for sure girl! This is your day and we are gonna make it happen!" Julie is fun and has a lot of great ideas.
My grand entrance was to die for!! I came down the large stair case in the back of the venue. The ceremony was outside, and It did rain slightly. The Regent crew was helpful in drying the chairs off and we were still able to get married in the courtyard as planned.

I must say The Regent team was very great and understanding as I had to change my wedding date 2 times due to my being sent overseas as I'm military. I was very pleased and amazed with the service that was still being provided on the day of my wedding! The venue is very beautiful and perfect for any event. I loved that they also provided linens in an array of colors and not just the simple black or white to include a few different styles of linens as well! I am so happy that my wedding was at this venue from the ceremony to the reception, it all went well. OUTSTANDING service you won't be disappointed!!!-

The Regent has a very neoclassic feel. They provide linen packages and their preferred vendor list is great. there is a reason why they picked those vendors. The only thing I wish is that we would get more time of the space. Other than that the space is gorgeous and the directors do what they can to be accommodating. -

The Regent is a beautiful venue for a Wedding or other special event. We attended a charity event about a month before the wedding. We had our wedding on Dec.10th, 2011. the room and setup was just a we agreed to, the facilities were clean and staff very helpful. Kristen the general manager was also helpful and provided great insight and support to us as we planned our event. check it out in Riverview Florida. We finallly have a locak place for guests lists of 200 or more. -

The only issue I had with The Regent was that there was a transition in directors and some of the details got lost in translation from person to person. Otherwise, when the new director assumed her position she was VERY responsive, communicating within an appropriate window of time. They were very enthusiastic and excited about my wedding, frequently keeping me abreast of everything that went on. Though they were flexible about my rehearsal time, the night of my rehearsal a local high school had their homecoming dance and there was miscommunication about our presence on the compound during their dance. Once it was worked out, however, everything went well. -

The Regent's Team is very dedicated to making their bride the number one focus of their events. We were looking for a venue that would accommodate an inside ceremony and reception with 250 people, and The Regent did it with ease! They were very helpful while we carefully chose the venue to our perfect wedding. They also offered a military discount (as my husband is a United States Marine), which is very hard to come by in many places. There were only a couple issues with responsiveness under the leadership of the previous director, but were easily fixed because we were able to communicate with the current director. Very excited to see this new management. They were able to make our wedding a night that my husband and I will never forget. We would definitely recommend this venue for future events. -

The Regent was absolutely beautiful. It was elegant and better then what I envisioned for my wedding day. There were some disappointing factors, It was highly overpriced and our ceremony was held outside and it didn't look like the grass had been mowed.The Regent's reply:

The Regent is a beautiful venue that can accommodate a large or small guest count which was very important to us. We chose to use Event Design for our decor so I didn't work with the Regent staff a ton throughout the wedding planning process, but they were very prompt in all of their responses. I would recommend The Regent to other brides especially for a large wedding because the venue is very grand and truly makes a statement to your guests. -

The Regent is a beautiful venue, breath taking and unique. However the event manager (Kristen) lacks in professionalism and seems at times to be only about making money. Her assistant (Lauren) is more professional but does not make the decisions. I for sure recommend this venue however please come with a strong coordinator or dealing with (Kristen) will be painful.The Regent's reply:

The venue itself was great! The building was absolutely beautiful and at the end it really came out nice. I had a HUGE issue with the bartender (Lundy's) that is the ONLY vendor that can service this venue . They were extremely rude to all of my guests and to my father who PAID THE BILL!!!! We sent an email to the bartender company and the Regent with no response back AT ALL. I was extremely disappointed. My advise if you really don't want liquor at your wedding, just have your caterer provide the lemonade, tea and water and save you some money. That was NOT WORTH IT AT ALL!!!! The team at the Regent were mostly friendly, a little unorganized at times but they are willing to work with you.The Regent's reply:
Catering by Lundy's provides all of our guests with excellent service. All of us have a off night every now and then. We apologies for that. We wish you would have brought up your issue to our event manager on the night of your wedding, as we asked you several times, and you told us all was great. We pride ourselves with our customer service and would have addressed and corrected any negative situation you were having. Your wedding was absolutely beautiful and we wish you the best of luck in your future! -

SUPER expensive and know that you are paying only for the event space. The Regent will contact you only when money is due. We signed the contract w/one event manager and there was a switch-over at some pt. that we were unaware of, until we had questions. The replacement was sweet and professional (also, attentive and helpful on the day-of). Just thought that we'd have more communication in the lead-up. In the end, though, they came through (because their booking/schedule allowed for it) and gave us access to the event space the Wed., Thurs., AND Fri. before our Saturday wedding. Which was RIDICULOUSLY helpful and relieved a lot of stress from our preparations. They made our sweetheart table-linens/dressing look really nice too. Just understand that you're going to put a lot of money into the space and you have to go with their bar people (who were also nice on the day of the event) due to liquor-licensing and whatnot. They do NOT give any refunds if you have less tables (we had 5 less tables than we originally estimated and, as far as I know, they were told within enough time to be sure they didn't need to take linens off tables....we were still charged the $45 per table -for those absent 5 tables- in linen costs). If, "eh" were a choice under the, "Would you recommend this vendor to a friend", I'd choose "eh"....Know that you're going to pay a ridiculous amount for an indoor venue (and they're the only ones in the game really) in Brandon and that it is pretty....That's about it.The Regent's reply:
Thank you for your feedback. We were happy to help by letting you set up 3 days before you wedding. We always try to go above and beyond for all of our clients.
As for the rest of your review, when booking at The Regent, we informed all of our clients from the get go that we are an "a la carte" event venue. Therefore, everything you mentioned in your review is expected. We have set times and dates, depending on the contracts, when linens have to be ordered, paid for and or cancelled without an extra charge. We go over that in details with everyone and dates are written in all of our contracts. Unfortunately, we were unable to give you some of your money back because the dead line had already passed.
