Best Wedding Ever!!

We had our wedding on July 5th, 2019 at the Rapids Theater in Niagara Falls with Rich’s Catering and it was perfect beyond belief! These two companies work together to plan the BEST wedding ever!! When you walk into the Rapids Theater you are instantly in awe! The venue is beautiful!! Due to the venue hosting concerts during the year, they are fully equipped with proper lighting and sound equipment! Because of this, our dance floor was full the entire night with the best sounds and lighting you could ever imagine! There were light and sound personnel present throughout the entire night making sure the lighting was the color we wanted and the music was the best it could be! Erik from Rapids and Maureen and Erin from Rich’s catering were the BEST! They were organized, professional, personable and kind. Maureen and Erik made the whole wedding planning process a breeze. Thanks to them, I was not stress or nervous once throughout the entire process! The entire serving staff from Rapids and Rich’s was professional, efficient and nice. The food from Rich’s was AMAZING! We had a sit down dinner and ALL 130 meals were hot, flavorful and delicious! You will NOT leave a Rich’s Catering wedding hungry! From the appetizers, to the main course, to the desserts, there were so many delicious options and choices! All 130 wedding guests are STILL talking about the food, staff and venue!! If you are looking for a BEAUTIFUL location with delicious food, a wide variety of centerpieces and decorations and an AWESOME wedding coordinator and staff please pick Rich’s Catering and the Rapids Theater!! You will not be disappointed!!!

Absolute best wedding venue

We walked into the Rapids Theatre and I was hooked! We fell in love with the venue and especially how EASY Lindsay and the Rapids team made the entire process! From start to finish there is not one thing I would change about our wedding. They fully transformed the theatre into exactly what we had dreamed of! We had numerous guests telling us this was by far the BEST wedding they have attended. Thank You Rapids wishing we could relive our wedding every single day!

Absolutely perfect!

If you’re looking for a unique venue, this is it. Lindsay from Rapids is incredible. Every detail was done to perfection. The food provided by Rich’s was excellent. The sound system and lighting is concert quality. Everything was absolutely beautiful. When there’s no do-overs, why gamble? They delivered a level of service that totally exceeded my expectations.

My husband and I, had the pleasure of working with Rapids Theatre for our wedding day, on 8/4/18. From the moment I walked into Rapids Theatre, I knew this was going to be like no wedding I or any of our guests have ever been to. Lindsay was helpful, professional, and an absolute pleasure to work with. Our catering and planning was done through Rich's Catering, where Lindsay and Maureen work closely together, making sure that your day is perfect. When Rapids isn't hosting weddings, they are hosting concerts, which gave us the perfect opportunity to have live music. Our friends and family are all still raving about how it was the best wedding they have ever been to, and how amazing and kind all of the staff was . If you want something that is different than your typical wedding, something that your friends and family are not going to stop talking about, I give my full recommendation to Lindsay and Rapids Theatre. Thank you so much for all of your hard work and commitment to your customers, I could not have imagined a more perfect day.

I never dreamt of what my wedding would be like, but as soon as we toured, we knew the Rapids Theatre was the perfect venue!! Lindsay and her whole team were amazing from beginning to end with planning all the details to keeping the flow the day of. We felt completely at ease and remained stress free at our wedding! Such a blessing!! I would highly recommend this venue to all future brides!

Lindsay and the Rapids staff was AMAZING!!! our wedding day was this Saturday 8.25.18. The venue was clean, set up EXACTLY how we wanted it. We had the best experience and would definitely do it all over again!

Best venue ever! My husband and I were looking for something different, a location and venue that we knew none of our guests had been to for a wedding, and this was it! I was skeptical at first, but when we met Marie and toured the venue, which was set up for a wedding that day, I was blown away. They know how to fill the space and make a large group seem small and vise versa. We had just over 100 guests, and it didn't feel too big or crowded. The staff was great. We worked mostly with Lindsay, who helped us set up our bar menu to meet our needs. Neither of us are beer drinkers, so we worked with Lindsay to add a few favorites to the line up. If you are looking for a unique indoor wedding, this is it! Any time of year will work. Plus, you get the benefit of having a few excellent photo locations close by (we went to Devil's Hole which was a 5 minute drive away). As someone who originally wanted everything to be outdoors, I wouldn't change my decision for anything. It was definitely the best day ever!

Lindsay and the rest of the staff at Rich's were unbelievable. Absolutely everyone in attendance RAVED about how wonderful the venue was and how amazing the staff was!! We could not have asked for anything more and I flat out told them that the cost could easily be doubled or tripled for the service they provide - we never could have gotten their venue, let alone all the extras (in sound, lighting, screen usage) that they provide for such a low cost here in CA, it would have been WAY out of budget for us!

The Rapids Theatre was nothing less than we had dreamed of for our big day! Lindsay our wedding coordinator was absolutely amazing and helped us every step of the way with any questions we had. We love her!! The theatre was absolutely breathtaking as I made my way down the aisle towards my now husband to say "I do." Seeing all the beautiful lights glisten off of our centerpieces was absolutely beautiful. It's amazing that there can be a sold out concert the day before and the theatre is in tip top shape the next day for one of the biggest days of your life! If you are looking for a beautiful, classic venue for your big day, we absolutely recommend The Rapids Theatre!

We had our ceremony and reception at Rapids Theatre on 9/9/17. It was the most amazing experience I've ever had! Working was Marie was such a pleasant experience. Hands down best decision my husband and I made having our wedding at The Rapids Theater! Marie was so helpful and always available if we had any questions. The place is absolutely gorgeous and such a unique venue. I had guests telling us it was the best wedding they've been to! Our day was perfect and the staff made us feel like VIP clients from the very beginning! We had a live band and the sound and lighting was amazing! I really don't even know where to start with this place, it was so amazing!! First of all the venue looks amazing!! I fell in love with it once I saw it!! It has a magnificent ceiling piece, a nice theatre feel with amazing lighting options. Some of my review things may apply to both Rapids and the catering service they have there through Rich's because they worked seamlessly on a lot of things together to make our wedding day perfect. At Rapids you have someone there working with you to make your day the most perfect, and I had the amazing pleasure of working with Lindsay. I have to admit, the venue looked amazing, but Lindsay is probably 80-90% of why I chose this venue in the beginning. She was so accommodating, lovely, and dedicated...she is exactly what you would want a person to be who is going to be helping you through this process. Now when I say she goes above and beyond is an understatement. I mean she gives out her cell phone number so you can reach her whenever!! Besides Lindsay's amazingness, the venue also makes a lot of the reception details go by so smoothly. I dropped off everything at the Theatre at our final meeting a couple days before the wedding. I simply explained how I wanted all the decorations and other things set up, and they take care of the rest. Believe me when I say that they set up everything exactly how I wanted, and some even better than I expected!! The venue also has a livestreaming camera that shows your cake cutting, dances, and just everyone dancing on screens through the night. Lastly, you may be nervous that Rich's (their caterer) doesn't do food tastings, but let me just say you won't be disappointed! The venue was just perfect and I am still getting compliments about it, and imagine I will be for a long time to come. I highly highly recommend this venue to anyone that asks. The reception was so fantastic, and we have Rapids Theatre to thank for a big part of that!!

My husband and I got married at Rapids Theatre on 7-7-17. I cannot say enough about how incredible the venue was! Our guests were absolutely blown away and have not stopped talking about it how impressed they were! The venue looks vastly different than it does for concerts....much, much shinier and cleaner! And the lighting! Even the pictures don't do it justice. Absolutely breathtaking! The staff was so attentive, especially to the bridal party. They made sure that we were on schedule and always had everything that we needed to make the night run smoothly. Lindsey was SO helpful in the planning stage. She was always available for questions and gave us great advice. I am SO thankful that we decided to have our wedding at Rapids. Truly the best day of our lives!

Our wedding reception at The Rapids Theatre was phenomenal! We chose the Rapids Theatre because of the great people working here and because of the beauty of the venue. Marie and her team were so helpful, communicative and caring during the planning process (we are from out of state) and worked hard to ensure everything ran smoothly on the big day! They are ultimate professionals at what they do! The venue itself is so gorgeous and stands on its own--any decorations you add for your wedding are just the icing on the cake. I loved that the venue was very open and had easy access for all my guests to the bar and dance floor. Having a state of the art sound system available for our DJ and professional lighting on the dance floor were added bonuses and made the night even more fun! Our guests had an amazing time, and so did we! Recommend this venue 100% to future brides and grooms, and a big thank you to The Rapids Theatre staff for making this such a wonderful night for us and our guests!

I am not even sure where to begin. Rapids Theatre was the most perfect venue for my wedding day on April 8th. Lindsay was amazing to work with, and I am going to miss working with her now that my wedding day is over. She responded to my questions in a timely manner and made sure that we had everything that we needed.

The venue itself is BEAUTIFUL. My guests could not get over how amazing everything was and many were asking me where I found this beautiful venue. Rapids and Lindsay are very accommodating and work with you to make sure that you have everything that you want to make your special day AMAZING. I highly recommend Rapids Theatre; it is so unique and beautiful. The lighting, sound system and staff are phenomenal along with many other reviews on here about the ceiling- it is breathtaking! Who else can say that they got married on a stage?!?

My husband and I have no complaints whatsoever- we had an amazing time and we cannot thank Rapids Theatre and Lindsay (along with amazing food by Richs) for making our special day so perfect.

If you are getting married in the future please take some time to see Rapids Theatre- it is perfect for your special day!

Just working with Lindsay, the even coordinate, makes you want to book this place. It's really not too much to look at from the outside but the inside is incredible. They're VERY accommodating and will work with you to make your wedding whatever you want it to be. I myself didn't even want to go look at the place but I was sold and didn't have to look at any other options. This is a place that you have to at least consider!! Five-star deserving!

The Rapid's Theatre was the perfect venue for our special day. Our guests are still telling us, 4 months later, how gorgeous the venue was, raving about how delicious the food was, and what a great time they had. We highly recommend Rapid's to future brides and grooms who are looking for a unique venue. The state of the art lighting and sound system were phenomenal, and that ceiling! Beautiful beyond words! I don't even know where to begin. As a male planning a wedding because my wife had no free time during the day, I was tasked with planning about 90% of the wedding. Needless to say.... I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. when you go to rapids for a tour of the venue, you might as well bring your deposit money with you. when you step foot in this place you will be completely astonished. we were greeted by Lindsay P. she gave us the full tour and sat with us and gave us drinks and snacks and was probably the nicest person we have ever met. she went over all the plans and options and prices with us so wonderfully it seemed like we had been family or friends for years. after you choose the rapids theatre for your venue, you have to go to richs catering in buffalo. we were greeted by Steven G. and were taken upstairs where he gave us a wonderful spread and champagne. just planning the wedding was amazing. we felt like a king and queen the entire time. we went with a plan that included the cake and we were able to design the cake completely. from taste to look. we had a batman themed cake. it was beautiful. we sat with Heather at dessert builders and she was so patient with us and made the best cake I have ever had in my life. As for the actual wedding... my wife had the whole upstairs to get ready where they sent drinks and snacks and had TV's and tons of fun just getting ready. the food was so exquisite that even three months after the wedding we still get compliments on our wedding. the venue is a dream come true. the people are amazing. Being able to get married on stage where so many music legends have performed is awesome and was a dream come true for my wife and I. both of our favorite bands have played at this venue and did I mention that during the wedding we had people personally serving us drinks? keeping us topped off on drinks...it was so professional and unreal. thank you to everyone at rapids theatre and rich's catering.

The Rapids Theatre exceeded all of our expectations! It was truly magical from the beautiful lighting and welcoming space to our golden fireworks on stage at our kiss. Guests of every age continue to rave about the wedding and it's thanks to the wonderful staff. Whenever we had a question Lindsay responded right away and provided a degree of support and care I will be forever grateful for. Her genuine kindness is possibly exceeded only by her attentiveness and competence. This is a wonderful place and I'm so happy we trusted them with our wedding!

For our wedding, my wife Rachelle and I looked at lots of places. All of the places that we looked at before Rapids sucked. I'm sorry to put it so bluntly but they did and they should know it. We had 125 people coming to our wedding, most of which I cared about. We couldn't cram that many people into Klocks Grove apparently. Salvatore's wanted to move tables around between the dinner and the dancing. Somehow, Salvatore's thought it was going to work out that my big 300lb dad was going to fit between a table pushed up against a wall every time he wanted to get up and get a drink. Needless to say, those places were not going to work.
It was then, that we stumbled upon Rapids. Rapids Theatre is a gigantic concert hall with a staff that is prepared to serve and deal with hundreds of drunk patrons so, my drunk family wouldn't be a problem for them.
Right off the bat when Rachelle and I didn't know what we needed to do or when we needed to do it, Lindsay narrowed it down for us. She was able to tell us where to go for pictures, where to go for a DJ and what things we needed to have ready at what times. On top of all that, Rapids teams up with Rich Products to do your food. Lindsay called in Taylor, Steve and Heather to take care of all of the culinary needs. That is one less thing we needed to worry about.
The day of, when the DJ ran late, Rapids was ready to go with music if needed. Lindsay was also on our side to call and yell at anybody we needed or wanted her to. I cut my hand on a beer bottle, BAM bar staff to the rescue with bandaids! I had a string on my suit, BAM Taylor to the rescue with scissors!
Let's talk about what wasn't there. There were no bed bugs, there were no robberies and no weird homeless people in the bathrooms.
The next day I had gotten phone calls and text messages from friends and family telling me that this wedding was the best they had ever been to. Mom was super happy that they let her out of the asylum for this one!

Rapids was the perfect reception venue! We were married in July 2015, and I still have people telling me what an amazing reception we had. We chose this venue because it was unique and stood out against the other places we looked. During the planning process they were very easy to get ahold of and readily answered all of our questions. Both Rapids and Rich's Catering were great to work with, and made the process very easy. We had no stress on our big day, because literally every detail was taken care of. If anything popped up, they took care of it without worrying us. Planning a wedding is a huge process and working with Rapids and Rich's made things easier. They know what couples want and they know how to get it, or the contacts to get it. I cannot say enough good things about this venue and would recommend it to anyone.

If I had to pick one thing that separates this venue from the rest, it's that it comes with a wonderful woman named Marie Hutchins! There was no such thing as a problem as far as we were concerned. If something went wrong, we never knew because the behind the scenes genius was there to fix it no matter what it was. I thought I was going to have to worry about everything. In the end, Marie did all the worrying for me. The venue was the best venue I've ever been to for a wedding. It's not even close. The staff, the food, the sound and lighting, the atmosphere, everything was perfect.

I don't normally write reviews but I felt like I had to write one for The Rapids Theatre because my husband and I were so thrilled with them after having our wedding reception there. The first thing that I have to say is that our wedding pictures turned out AMAZING! Our photographers never would have been able to capture pictures they did if we would have went with a hotel or banquet hall. I can't believe that we even considered any of the other places that we looked at. The staff at Rapids was perfect too; Marie and Lindsay make sure that every aspect of your wedding flawless (they even put champagne and cheese in the bridal suite for us!!). They were both so easy to talk to and held our hands every step of the way. Oh and I should mention that we even saved money on our DJ because Rapids let's you use their concert speakers and sound guys (which my husband was VERY excited about). We are constantly complimented on how beautiful and truly unique our wedding was and we owe that all to Rapids (and Rich's, the caterers, of course!)

Rapids Theatre was the absolute perfect venue for our wedding! Marie was very helpful and attentive throughout the process. The theatre is gorgeous and the ceiling is breathtaking! The pictures of our first dance with the ceiling are beautiful! If you are planning on having a live band for your wedding, this is definitely the place to go! With the sound, light, and video engineers, you are truly at a concert at your own wedding. Our day was perfect!

We had our ceremony and reception at The Rapids Theatre in August 2015, and we were absolutely blown away by everything! Although they sometimes took a while to respond to emails, they were very flexible in all the changes I made and with all my new ideas in the months leading up to our wedding. They took care of everything on our wedding day, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Although it is somewhat intimidating from the outside, your guests will be impressed by the inside! They work Rich's catering to provide a spectacular event! If you want a venue that is unique and not your average banquet hall, I would recommend The Rapids Theatre!

My wedding day was nothing less than what you dream of as a child. The staff of the Rapids Theatre and Rich's catering are a phenomenal combination. The experts at Rich's make it impossible to sweat the little things on wedding day and leading up to it. You name it and it's taken care of; the best man's belt broke and Steven (Rich's fantastic wedding coordinator) was there with heavy duty safety pins to prevent a catastrophe. What made me fall in love with the venue in the first place (aside the gorgeous architecture) was Marie from the Rapid's and her commitment to making the day perfect. When I first was looking into venues I emailed around a few places, every other place acted like they were better than my wedding, took a long time to get back, and made me feel like an after thought. Marie got back to me almost instantly, and was completely excited that I would even consider her venue. The DJ loved it because all they had to do is hook up to the state of the art concert sound system. Included in the rental fee is the Rapid's videographer, who will run a live feed on the projection screens of your wedding, so everyone can see your special moment. The food was to die for, Rich's food was not only delicious, but the presentation was very classy. One of the big draws to the venue for me was the fact that everything is centrally located. I have been to many weddings where people are split up outside, or on the other end of the room at the bar. I wanted everyone together; the bar is enormous and right next to the dance floor. My wedding had 200 guests, it was overwhelming enough to visit with everyone, it made everything a lot easier since it was one large area. The day was absolutely perfect, and I am confident that we made the right decision to have our wedding at the Rapid's Theatre. I tell everyone that I want a friend to get married there so I can enjoy it as a guest!

I cannot say enough good things about Rapids and if we were to do the wedding all over again I wouldn't change the venue one bit. They worked in conjunction with Rich's for catering and everything was absolutely amazing. The setting of Rapids is breathtaking and because the venue is so beautiful we were able to save some money by sort of skimping out on the "extra" decoration-type stuff since the venue on its own is so perfect. The staff was responsive, attentive, SO incredibly easy to work with and did everything they could to make sure our wedding went off perfectly.

I was a completely relaxed bride on my wedding day. How is this possible you ask? I had my wedding at the Rapids Theatre.
From the ambience, the professionalism by all the staff and the great care they took of myself and bridal party, I cannot more highly recommend this venue. Steve and his team took care of everything, and I mean everything. I forgot 2 of my centerpieces, no problem Steve’s on it. My singer needed to be picked up from her hotel room, no problem Steve’s team took care of it . I was a very picky bride and wanted no head table, no problem the Rapids theatre is there to accommodate you to have your dream wedding. If you can wish it, think it, or dream they can make it a reality. Do you know some places can have as many as 6 weddings going on at the same time as your special day. The Rapids Theatre is the hidden gem in Niagara falls NY that will leave your guests absolutely speechless. I still have people talking about how grand my wedding was months after it happened. That’s the type of impact you will have when you have your wedding at the Rapids. The amount of attention to detail that Steve and his team pay to your every wish will make any bride be able to relax on her big day. From rehearsal to the moment of truth, Steve and team are the coordinating your bridal parties every move. There will be no unruly ring bearers or lost father of the brides. All the bridal party will know just where to stand for optimal pictures and the lighting display you pick (Yes, that’s right just one of the perks of being a Rapids bride) will make you look your best on your special day. From the moment we decided to have our wedding at the rapids to the time the band ended and the lights came on, we knew that we had picked the perfect venue. The event coordinator is Marie and she is absolutely excellent and made the whole process so easy. Marie was available at all times throughout the night (which I work overnight so I was always thinking of random questions at 3 am) and she always had an answer for me or eased my worries. Marie organized with the vendors weeks in advance so that I could just go on my merry way and I did not have to worry about any organizing or answering questions about scheduling for the big day. Rich's catering company provided the food and it was amazing. Steven is the planner/organizer/everything you need guy and he made selecting the menu and the entire flow of the evening go perfectly. Marie and Steve work in such harmony that if anything was wrong throughout the night, I had no idea and they discreetly took care of the issue. We booked a band for our reception and the sound quality was concert level. I highly suggest getting a band for you reception if you have it here. The band did dj in between their sets which also sounded awesome but this reception was built for a band. Our guests commented on the amazing ambiance of the room and how it was not "just another wedding hall", they raved about the food, and were amazed at how fluid and perfect our night was. The band even received a double encore that night. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and there is not a single thing we would have done differently. The only wish I had was I wish we could have 27 hours in a day so that the party could have went on for much longer.... My wedding reception was absolutely perfect and I have to give a lot of that credit to Marie. I wish we could get married every year at the rapids... If your even contemplating having you wedding, or any party really, at the rapids, JUST DO IT!!! It will absolutely be worth it!!!

This place is absolutely stunning! When we booked it over 2 years ago, we knew it was going to be an amazing venue and a great time. We worked closely with Marie, whom was wonderful and helpful! She took us on a tour of the venue and provided all information up front. She also let me come back with my family right before a wedding party was arriving to see the room all set up and ready for a wedding. My family and I truly appreciated this and made us even more excited than we already were!

The last few days before the wedding were stressful, but Marie was always readily available to help me out and was around for questions that I had. She and her staff were fabulous and made sure everything was the way I wanted. An example of how awesome Marie is: I did not have a traditional guestbook; rather we had a wedding tree and people were to sign the leaves. I didn't consider how the tree would be displayed and on the morning of the wedding, Marie texted me and told me she went and bought a frame for the tree to complete the look. This was something minor that I completely overlooked, but Marie was gracious enough to take care of this the morning of the wedding.

We arrived to the Theatre about an hour before cocktail hour started so we could see the room set up and take pictures with the wedding party. As soon as we got off the limo, Marie and Steve from Rich's greeted us and took us on a tour of the room. We brought some items from the church and florist and they quickly took care of setting them up for us.

The lighting, sound, and video were stellar and really set the venue apart from any other wedding I have ever been to. We have received so many compliments on this venue and how amazing the wedding was.

Thank you to Marie and The Rapids Theatre for making our day absolutely perfect!!

Marie is awesome! She was there for my husband and I every step of the way! They made our special day very glamorous and exciting. They more than accommodated us when we fell on hard times and our wedding turned out beautifully! Marie was such a gem during our entire night; she even helped a guest of ours with her baby! My husband and I enjoyed our entire night along with all of our guests! I definitely recommend hosting an event at the theatre and working with the rapids team.

The Rapid's Theatre was absolutely wonderful. The venue is beautiful and Im glad we spent the little extra money to have it there. Our guests were amazed and are still talking about it. Please consider The Rapids Theatre as your Wedding Venue. I never expected to be this pleased with the dedication and service that Rapids' provides. Not only is the Theatre gorgeous and great for pictures, the staff is extremely friendly and supportive. I was very relaxed the day of my wedding because they took care of everything. I didn't have to worry about a thing. They took responsibility of the schedule and making sure my event was everything I wanted it to be. Rapids went above and beyond what I expected. At times, I felt like I was working with several wedding planners. They give you great advice, and my planning was stress-free. Please consider them for your event!

This is Western NY's best wedding reception venue BY FAR! It is beautiful, vibrant, elegant, and perfectly laid out for the reception of your dreams. And it isn't the cookie cutter reception hall you're so accustomed to. What's more is that they have made the perfect team with their exclusive caterer, Rich's Catering. I'll be honest, when I pulled up outside for the first time at this venue in Niagara Falls, NY, I was skeptical. The area isn't the greatest because of how blighted that city is in general. (Although the police station is right next door, so it is totally safe!) But that made the surprising beauty and elegance of the interior of the venue that much better! Marie, the owner, thinks of this place as her baby and personally attends each reception to make sure everything goes without a hitch. Between Marie and Steve (from Rich's), every detail is perfectly coordinated and so impressive! It's like having two wedding planner/coordinators included in the price of the venue/catering. If I could do it all over, I would, because I had such a wonderful, relaxed time at our wedding! But obviously, I would stick with my decision to use Rapids and Rich's! They were delightful. Even down to the small details of the entire staff being attentive and making sure we always had a drink in our hands so we didn't have to break conversation or leave the dance floor, even without asking. Everything from large details like decor to small items like place cards were exquisitely done. On top of all this, your DJ gets to plug into the concert quality sound system (this is also an amazing concert venue), you get a lighting engineer, AND a sound engineer, all to make sure everything looks and sounds amazing on your big day! I can't say enough about The Rapids Theatre, Rich's Catering, Marie Hutchins, or Steve Guagliardi. Our day was perfect, and I wouldn't change a thing. Don't book anywhere until you've seen this place for yourself!

WOW! WOW! WOW! We had a winter wedding in January at Rapids Theatre! We knew from the moment we walked into Rapids Theatre, it was the place we wanted to get married! The architecture is out of this world and really sets it apart from other venues. It gave us that unique look we were looking for. From day one of planning, Marie and Lindsay were AMAZING, to say the least. They helped me with the silliest of questions and they always got back to me quickly. The day of, Marie was there bright and early with us in case we needed anything! We have been told by so many of our guests that it was the best wedding they have ever been to! The lighting and sound guys were incredible. They worked with the DJ to make it like we were at a concert! When you see the ticket price, it may scare you away. Don't let it. It is truly worth the extra money to have your wedding here! They literally made the day go by PERFECTLY. It will be more than you ever imagined, better than your most amazing dreams!

Wow, no words can explain what a wonderful job The Rapids Theater did for my Daughter’s wedding. Not one complaint, and here it is almost two weeks later and everyone is still talking about what a wonderful time they had. We could not have asked for anything more, Marie made sure that not one detail was missed. Anything and everything we asked for was taken care of with a smile and upmost professionalism. My Daughter wanted a fairy tale wedding and to be the princess of the day, The Rapids Theater and there staff gave her exactly that, thanks for everything! Allison and Jon!

I can't say enough about Marie and the staff at The Rapids Theatre. From the first phone call to the day after, when we were on the hunt for a lost cell phone, they were amazing. As a long distance bride I had to be very trusting of my family and the event folks. Marie went above and beyond to make me feel calm and that everything was under control. She was quick to respond, even if the questions were minor. That day she personally held my train and made sure I only had to sit back and enjoy myself.
We had a guest lose a cell phone and the staff was kind enough to answer their phones early the morning after and retrieve the phone during their clean up. They could have easily just ignored our calls, but they didn't.

On top of the service, everything is included there. Parking, catering, wedding planner, lighting (and as an entertainment professional I can say the lighting system is top notch, very high end.) the sound was our DJ's dream and tables/chairs. All included in the rental! Oh did I mention the ceremony, cake cutting and dancing being projected onto big screens either side of the stage? Yea seriously. That was amazing for the older folks with bad eyesight and come on, we've all been to weddings where you can't see any of that. You're just trying to peek between the heads of everyone trying to snap photos.

If I had another wedding, well let's hope not!, I'd have it at The Rapids Theatre. Perhaps we will do a vow renewal a few years down the line. Go there. meet them, I guarantee you will leave with a smile and a wedding date.

The Rapids Theatre is ABSOLUTELY STUNNIG!!!! We got married there and we were so impressed with everything that day! The venue was beautiful with the lighting and all of our guests were blown away!! 5 months later our guests are still talking about how beautiful it was. We didn't have to spend a bunch of money on decorations because the theater is beautiful on it own.

It was a pleasure working with Marie and her team at The Rapids...they made the planning process completely stress free!! She was always responsive and very easy to work with! I actually think I am going to miss emailing and talking with her :)

I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a unique and impressive location!

Best decision we made in wedding process! They were very responsive and made just about everything I wanted happen. Soooo happy with set up and outcome. It was a let down that the coordinator assigned to me was unable to be there the day of our wedding, but Rich’s works well with them so they were able to carry out all my wishes. The venue speaks for itself but do yourself a favor and get chair covers and a backdrop for the stage—it just adds an extra touch. Very pleased with the venue!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at The Rapids Theatre. When my husband and I initially went to look at the Rapids as a possible wedding venue we were blown away by the unique beauty of the place as we had wanted a unique location for our wedding. We instantly loved how well the theatre was renovated, loved the details of the facility, the gorgeous ceiling, and the overall feel of the distinctive elegance. We were very impressed by Marie Hutchins .co- owner of The Rapids Theatre and also coordinates all the weddings held at Rapids. Marie is very friendly, personable, professional, responds to emails/calls in a timely manner, as well as very helpful in handling details and answering any questions we had about the wedding planning process. The lighting and sound in the rapids is one of a kind and after the wedding our guests could not stop saying enough compliments about the beautiful unique venue. If you are looking for a unique, glamorous one-of-a kind venue I would highly recommend the Rapids Theatre as well as Marie for a magical wedding day!

I was never a "bridey" kind of girl, although because of my amazing experience at the Rapids Theatre I now am! Our guests are still raving about the delicious food, gorgeous ambiance, and impeccable service throughout the night! My husband and I couldn't be happier with the way things turned out...huge success! We had an incredible time and can't imagine holding such a special event anywhere else. It was a combination of pure elegance and extreme fun! Working with Marie and her staff (along with Rich's Catering) was seamless and enjoyable. Our ceremony/reception received so many compliments because of how beautiful the venue was. They were super accommodating with what we wanted to do with the space (bring in pinball machines, skeeball, a video booth, etc). One or two small things hit a snag but the staff used those opportunities to actually learn from it and prevent similar issues in the future, which we thought was pretty cool.

My husband and I were looking for a wedding venue that was unique and dramatic. It was really important to me that our wedding was not cookie-cutter nor something one of our guests had experienced before.

When we first pulled up to the Rapids Theatre it was a bit concerning because of the neighborhood but the minute we stopped inside nothing else mattered, I knew this is where we were going to tie the knot. The inside of the venue was different and beautiful and fun! It was a true lesson to not judge a book by its cover.

We met with Marie at the Rapids Theatre for our initial consultation and she came across very professional and experienced. She assured me that my wedding night would be perfect and it was. Although at some points it was difficult to get answers on questions I had during the process of planning my wedding, I was told not to worry because the night will be what I expected. I'm glad I trusted in Marie and her team and the people at Rich's catering for providing us the best day of our lives.

Although I barely got to eat anything that night because I was so busy, I was told numerous times that the food was amazing and that people were having a great time dancing the night away.

If we could have chosen a venue all over again I would still have gone with the Rapids Theatre.

Despite a few hiccups in the planning process, almost EVERYTHING on the day of the wedding was perfect. The Rapids staff were there to solve every mishap (like our DJ missing his flight from NYC and arriving over an hour late/ missing cocktail hour). While the sound system is great, I got the impression that the sound tech is probably used to playing only rock or generic "wedding music" (whereas there was none of that chicken dance song at our wedding OR the twist). If your music tastes are more diverse make sure your DJ talks to the tech or you do a sound check. However, once someone told the tech that he needs 2x the amount of bass for our Caribbean/ African wedding the dance floor was rocking all night :). I only wish this was figured out before our entrance (but this also may have been the result of our DJ being late). Overall, I would recommend The Rapids Theatre without hesitation. I was told by numerous guests that our wedding was the best wedding they've ever been to (which is quite a feat considering the amount of weddings family and friends have had recently). It is definitely a unique and impressive venue. Plus I heard great reviews about the food!

For all of you wanting to use the Rapids Theatre as your choice of wedding venue I suggest you read on. This has been on my mind since our wedding. I will not give exact wedding date because we'd like to remain anonymous. Me and my husband had our wedding there last year and felt we weren't treated like most people that get married there. Our seating arrangement was all screwed up for one, the one blonde lady who was in charge at the time was very judgmental and that made me really uncomfortable. Also no photos were ever shared from our wedding on their site which we thought was pretty rude. Just overall not what we were expecting. I wish we would've chosen another venue.

Vendor cancelled wedding and did not refund deposit

Rapids cancelled our wedding due to Covid and would not offer a refund on our deposit. They legally were not able to satisfy their end of the contract and then would not refund the money that was already put down for the date. Book with them and get ready to be swindled out of your money!!
