The Pretty Committee was great to work with! They are very responsive and their stylists and artists are so friendly and amazing at what they do! I worked with Arielle, Ashley, and Danielle. Myself, bridal party, and moms looked incredible on my wedding day!! They were so accommodating for my mother, and went out of the way to go to a separate location to do her hair and make up due to her health. Thank you so much!

Emily and her team were amazing partners at our recent Bridal Show. They handled multiple bridal models at one time, doing both hair and makeup in a busy and loud environment. She was timely, communicative, and friendly in the weeks leading up to the event, with patrons at the event, and in our conversations post-event as well. You will not regret working with her! -

Great team and great work!
The team at Pretty Committee was great! They worked with my group of bridesmaids and my mom and everyone looked phenomenal. Once of my goals for my wedding was to dance the night away, and I can tell you that neither my hair or makeup were disturbed by my hours of dancing- which in a summer wedding is very impressive! -

I cannot recommend The Pretty Committee enough! From the very first consultation to the final touches on my wedding day, Ariel and Jasmine were nothing short of amazing. They truly listened to my vision and made me feel like the most beautiful version of myself.
My bridal party and I were all blown away by their talent. Our makeup was flawless, natural yet glamorous, and lasted all day and night—even through happy tears and lots of dancing! The hairstyling was equally stunning, holding up perfectly while still feeling soft and effortless.
Not only are Ariel and Jasmine incredibly skilled, but they were also so sweet, calming, and professional throughout the entire process. Their energy made the getting-ready experience so much fun and stress-free!

I hired the Pretty Committee for my bridal party hair and makeup. Ashlyn was our makeup artist and Danielle was our hairstylist. Both ladies were awesome, professional, and did an amazing job! All of my bridesmaids were blown away at how well the hair and makeup turned out and it was so rewarding that everyone felt beautiful and confident on the big day! I did a bridal trial before hand with Ashlyn and Danielle and they took a lot of time to get to know me and what I was looking for. This made the process on the wedding day so smooth and quick. I had a great experience working with the Pretty Committee for my wedding day! Kelsey and Tabatha did a great job on hair and makeup for me and several members of my bridal party. The wedding was up in Traverse City and they drove up from Grand Rapids and were there and ready to start by 8am. They were responsive and very flexible, able to provide great service for those with specific visions as well as those who needed inspiration or recommendations. Carla (the manager/owner) was
also very helpful when I had questions about payment! My hair and makeup stayed beautiful all night and I got so many compliments. I would definitely recommend The Pretty Committee! -

I had the pleasure of working with The Pretty Committee for my September 17, 2022 wedding and had such a wonderful experience from start to finish!
Shortly after securing services for myself and my entire bridal party (mom and flower girls included!), the team was quick and efficient with all communications and were instrumental in helping organize what was quite literally the largest group of ladies.
My party and I had been paired up with Rachael, Elaina and Ashley. They were nothing short of amazing! From the moment I met Rachael and Elaina at my trial, I knew we’d be in good hands. They were extremely attentive to the vision I had for myself and I was over the moon with the results. On the day of, they were prompt in their arrival and did an amazing job at working through all 11 of us — my girls looked stunning! But most importantly they contributed such great energy leading up to the ceremony!
I highly recommend The Pretty Committee and look forward to using their services for events in the future! -

I cannot say enough good things about The Pretty Committee!
I booked them for my wedding on September 24, 2022, and was blown away!
Leading up to the wedding they were very communicative. Quick to answer questions via email, Stylists and Makeup Artists were very responsive via text for trials and the day of.
On the day of the wedding, Danielle, Tabatha, and Jaci were fantastic- very professional and fun! We had a large group (1 bride, 8 bridesmaids, and 1 mother). Everyone looked fantastic, and they finished ahead of schedule. Which gave our group some time to enjoy the day. I'd book them again in a heartbeat!The Pretty Committee's reply:

Jessica and Alicia were on time (actually even early due to a scheduling miscommunication) to our wedding venue and ready to get started right away. 3 years later and still amazing
I originally wrote a review in 2020 for a 2019 trial and now that, I have FINALLY gotten married this past May of 2022, I'm excited to write another one!
Emily (make-up) and Cam (hair) were amazing! Starting at 7:30am, the duo worked through hair and makeup for 7 people: bride (me), 4 bridesmaids, mother of the bride and an aunt in 4.5 hours! Throughout the planning process, the Pretty Committee was very communicative and day of, Emily and Cam were on time which is always a relief. Both were personable and were constantly checking in for feedback to make sure the women were comfortable with their looks.
Something I didn’t mention in my original review was one of the reasons I chose the Pretty Committee was from seeing their portfolio covering women of different skin and hair types. This was a big factor for me being of south east Asian descent and having a bridal party and relatives of different demographics. I wanted to make sure everyone felt their beautiful selves and both Emily and Cam smashed it! They are both talented and beautiful individuals who know their craft and work perfectly together.The Pretty Committee's reply:

Elaina did my makeup and my five bridesmaids for my wedding and she was absolutely AMAZING!! I am very particular about my makeup and was apprehensive about getting it professionally done, but I loved it so much. I felt like such a glowing bride, and it lasted all night, even through the sweat and the rain! I did do a trial with Elaina and that really helped narrow down exactly what kind of makeup style I was looking for. Amazing Experience!
The Pretty Committee did my hair and make-up for a wedding I was in. I felt even more beautiful than my own wedding! The hair and make-up artists were so nice and did such a great job. I wish I looked this great all the time! The Pretty Committee brand lipstick was also AMAZING. I was wearing "The High Priestess" Shade and loved it. It didn't even feel like I was wearing lipstick. I was the first in the bridal party to get my make-up done (8am!) and my lips were still going strong at 10pm! Highly recommended!The Pretty Committee's reply:

AMAH-ZING, fun and talented ladies!
Emily and Brooklyn have been amah-zing. My fiancé knew Emily from high school and during my search for hair and makeup, her name came up. I’m so glad to have found people I trust and new friends along the way. I have mainly been in contact with Emily and from a professional standpoint, she has been responsive, talented, and personable. All great especially for an out of state bride!
I did my makeup trial around Thanksgiving of 2019 when we visited my fiancé’s family in MI for the holiday and the experience was great! I do not wear makeup on a daily basis and usually for special events or just randomly for fun. Let’s just say my makeup abilities are very basic. For my trial, I knew I wanted something light and to be able to recognize myself. Emily listened, checked with every step to make sure I was comfortable, and was happy to make adjustments based on my responses. I wore false eyelashes for the first time! Brooklyn, my hair stylist, was also great! I purchased something resembling a hair vine/back of the head crown and asked her to incorporate it in a half up half down hairstyle with waves. It looked great! My fiancé and I also had errands to run later that day (see pic XD) and both hair and makeup stood up to gusty winds and heavy rain that day! Safe to say I’m ready for whatever comes on our wedding day.
Unfortunately, we never expected a pandemic to affect our wedding. It was scheduled for May 2020 but we had to postpone for May 2021. Luckily, both Emily and Brooklyn are both available for our new date and although it’ll be awhile, we can’t wait to have them both be a part of our wedding. :DThe Pretty Committee's reply:

I had a phenomenal experience working with Emily and Brooklyn on my wedding day! I had makeup and hair trials with them and they helped me pick out the perfect look for my dress and accessories. They also worked with me before the wedding to coordinate a day of schedule for all of the bridal party to make sure we ran on schedule. Their organization and professionalism allowed me to relax on the morning of my wedding knowing they had it under control. Not only did they make us look absolutely stunning, but they finished ahead of schedule allowing for more pictures and we did not have to rush to the venue. I have never felt more beautiful and confident. I could not recommend the Pretty Committee enough for your big day!! -

Very Talented Stylists!
The Pretty Committee did a wonderful job with our wedding. We had a large group (9 people getting both hair & make-up) and the team of 3 stylists (Erin, Arielle, and Candace) handled it with ease. The fact that they travel to the wedding location is a huge bonus (one less thing to worry about on a busy day).
Erin did my hair and Arielle did my make-up and both did an excellent job listening to exactly what I wanted and making adjustments after my trial. They actively took notes to make sure everything was perfect.
I would definitely recommend The Pretty Committee! -

Lovely experience from start to finish
The trial was so much fun. We had the whole lovely space to ourselves with champagne and good conversation. They even let us take some photos in their fancy robes. It was just an exciting start to our wedding weekend. They did a great job on hair and make-up for all our bridesmaids/moms and it lasted all day! Great service
We had multiple changes during our booking at the staff was able to accommodate the changes quickly for us. We did multiple trials which was helpful as well. Arielle was our makeup artist and she was fantastic. Super polite, experienced and fun to work with!The Pretty Committee's reply:
