Great Hotel vibe/location, Horrible hospitality/Customer Service

We booked this hotel for our destination wedding in Portland, OR. We were excited as we were informed it was the 'newest' hotel in Portland, and upon visiting it was very impressive. But slowly everything starting going wrong. I will only list a few items but overall I would say avoid booking here as the customer service, accommodations, were not were advertised. 1) our reserved Suite was double booked which they realized a WEEK before our wedding, and placed us in a 2 bedroom suite (the other room was across the hall). 2) our parents rooms upon arrival (which they flew across country mind you, weren't ready until 6pm, we were informed our rooms were be ready by 2pm however standard check in was 3pm. we waited in the lobby as they said they would come grab us once the room was ready.... nobody came to grab us we finally kept checking every hour (the front desk was obviously very annoyed by us- just for asking the status of our room.) 3) we brought in over 40 nights of room reservations for the weekend, some of our guests didn't even get room service daily even though it was requested. 4) As the bride and groom to make up for the overbooking of our suite, they offered a continental breakfast for the immediate family the following day of the wedding- this did not arrive, we had to immediately plan a back up plan for the family. 5) we were told the chef would have a 'treat' for us upon arrival in our room the night of the wedding, nothing was present.

Overall this was a very unpleasant, not welcoming experience. For the amount of money we spent, we were expecting a little better customer service and hospitality. The concierge and valet team were HANDS down the best experience of the entire weekend. We reached out to the local sales rep, no response, we then contacted Hilton directly to express this experience and even got Ghosted by them. I could continue on with little details from the entire weekend, but i would just say if you are planning to host a destination wedding and looking for lodging, this would NOT be my first choice.
