Cake was amazing!

We got a two tiered red velvet cake and it was amazing! We just had the cake for us to cut, but it was so good and was just what we were wanting!

Absolutely Delicious

The cake was amazing!!! So amazing that not only did I eat the slice that we cut together but I got seconds. We didn’t have any leftovers!!!

Great Cake & Desserts!

PA Bakery was a great choice for my wedding! I wanted a small, fairly simple wedding cake and a variety of fun desserts - PA Bakery fit the bill perfectly! Prices were reasonable and picking up the items was easy and stress free. Highly recommend!

Delicious cake!

First and foremost, the cake we ordered was phenomenal! Our wedding was the end of October so we went with a pumpkin cake and all of our guests loved it, even the picky eaters! The staff was easy to work with and very helpful when ordering our cake. We will definitely be going back to them for special occasion cakes, and maybe even just because!

We wanted two things from our baker - a simple yet elegant, delicious cake for our guests and a fun, colorful, over-the-top cupcake for my uncle whose birthday was the same day as our wedding. The Pennsylvania Bakery exceeded our expectations for both! I could not recommend them more highly! The service was fantastic (both in the design and delivery processes), the prices were reasonable, and the cakes were delicious!

Delicious & Beautiful cake. I met with them once and they completely understood my vision and answered all my questions. On the Big day they delivered exactly when they said they would and were very helpful. I would highly recommend The Pennsylvania Bakery for any event! I will be ordering from them again!!

The Pennsylvania Bakery provided the wedding cake for our daughter's reception on May 6. We ordered a 2-tier cake and sheet cakes. The tier cake was beautiful and the sheet cakes worked out great. Even the icing sparkled! We received many comments from our guests on the delicious taste. The PA Bakery team is great to work with and very professional. We would highly recommend!

My husband has a dairy allergy and it was very difficult to find a bakery that was willing to accommodate his needs at a reasonable price. We chose the Pennsylvania Bakery because they offered several options in regards to food allergies and there were so many flavor options to pick from. They also set-up and delivered for a very reasonable rate.
We ended up going with 3 separate tiers in 3 different flavors. The cakes were just delicious! We did an Angel Food cake with strawberry filling and dairy free whipped topping for my husband. The Strawberry Torte cake (vanilla cake with strawberry filling and whipped topping) is a fairly standard cake from them and just a perfect balance of flavors. I would recommend this to anyone. Our third cake was Chocolate cake with mocha filling and Chocolate Mousse topping. This cake was probably the most popular flavor and was so moist and not overly sweet.

We used PA Bakery for our wedding cake. We were looking for a smaller, value-priced cake for us to cut at our wedding reception since we had a close friend of ours baking the cupcakes for the guests. PA Bakery had no problems working with our request and we ordered a 2-tier wedding cake that was perfect for our situation. The cake was ready and my parents picked it up the day of the ceremony. The price and the cake were exactly what we were looking for.

We used the Pennsylvania Bakery for our wedding cake! The cake was exactly what we wanted it to be and it was very delicious. Our friends and family are still telling us how good our cake looked and tasted. We didn't want a traditional cake flavor so we had a banana cake with strawberry filling and it was amazing!

Instead of a wedding cake, we chose to do a donut display. We just had our tasting and chose to go with two different types of donuts. They are INCREDIBLE! I can't wait to see how they'll look. The bakery is going to ice them so they match the decor of our wedding and are delivering and setting up our display table. I'm so excited for this part of our reception!

Sarah and PA Bakery provided excellent services for our wedding. Sarah cooperated with my wife on a regular basis to discuss the best options for our wedding ceremony. She was very gracious in allowing my wife and I, along with our parents to stop by the store and taste samples. She did a precise, yet thorough job of explaining the selections we were contemplating. PA Bakery came through at our wedding without a hiccup. Our wedding day had extreme downpours and continuous rain throughout the day. They simply got the job done!

Everyone loved the both styles of cakes we chose. They were delicious and there was plenty of leftovers for our family and friends. Sarah did an pin point job in planning and preparation. The icing on the cakes was to die for. The actual cakes were fluffy and melted in your mouth. We all enjoyed eating more cake the next day. We also stored part of our cake in the freezer and plan on sharing it with our family for our very first Christmas this year.

Without question, PA Bakery, and the professionalism, leadership and product quality is superb. The wedding services they provide are superb. In addition it is an awesome place to stop by with friends for a coffee and some treats or to just be by yourself and read the newspaper.

Sarah has done a fantastic job of carrying on the great business her family started.

Instead of a wedding cake, we wanted an array of mini-desserts for our wedding reception. The Pennsylvania Bakery did an outstanding job and were so easy to work with. Everything tasted wonderful!

Instead of one tiered cake we got 11 different cakes and used them as centerpieces on some of the tables. The venue served the cakes at a large dessert table and everyone LOVED them. They were beautiful and delicious.

I had my wedding at Moonstone Manor this past weekend and we chose 18 dozen cupcakes for our guests. They were absolutely amazing, so much so, that the groom and I didn't get any. The cupcakes were delivered on time and looked perfect. PA Bakery never disappoints. A++

Our cake was absolutely perfect. It was identical to the picture I provided and the detail was better than I could have imagined. The cake tasted amazing and all of our guests told us afterwards how great the cake was.

PA Bakery did both my wedding cake and a groom's cake for my fiance for our rehearsal dinner. It should be noted that another local bakery backed out of making our groom's cake last minute (The Monday before!) and PA Bakery stepped right up and made it--no problem at all. Not only is PA Bakery delicious, but they worked around my gluten allergy for both our testing and our reception. They are amazing and so helpful at every step of the process. Everyone kept saying how delicious our cake tasted and I LOVED how the final product turned out. I would highly recommend!

Our cake was PERFECT. I wanted a cake that was a little different than your average wedding cake and the made it look EXACTLY how I wanted it! They made the initial tasting super fun and when it was all said and done on my wedding day, it was DELICIOUS. Guests were raving about our cake.

We ordered a small cake and cupcakes for our wedding and could not have been more happy! Everything was delicious! The cakes were moist and delicious! My guests wanted seconds! Luckily we ordered too many and now have cupcakes for days! Even frozen they still taste amazing!!

The Pennsylvania Bakery was great at fulfilling my vision of our wedding cake. Having wanted cheesecake bites, with a smaller cake for us to cut, I wasn’t sure how it would all come together. The Pennsylvania Bakery is affordable, good with communication, and open minded in accommodating their customers. They thought of every detail, down to the trays the bites would be presented on. The end product was GORGEOUS and tasted delicious. Overall, it’s hard to stop in there and not find something delicious, glad to see their wedding cake is no exception! :) Special thanks to Julia and the manager for working with us. I had wedding pie, instead of a wedding cake. Guests loved the uniqueness of it, plus I was able to offer a variety of pies instead of just one or two different layers cake, so everyone had something they liked. The pies were delicious and in comparison to a cake quite affordable. PA Bakery made the process so easy. I went in for a tasting, selected different pies, and order them and the delivery of them all on my lunch break. It was probably the easiest element to plan for the whole wedding-- which as a busy bride I really appreciated. I can't say enough good things about PA Bakery-- and neither could my guests!

My favorite part of the wedding planning: the cake tasting at the Pennsylvania Bakery. It was nearly impossible to select a flavor because EVERYTHING was amazing. I ended up choosing a peanut butter based cake, and even guests at the wedding that did not like peanut butter loved this cake.

We had carmel apples made for my wedding favors. They were not CHEAP. They were more expensive then my wedding cake, but they were the biggest apples I have ever seen. And we did get 80 of them indiviual wrapped. I will have to say these were worth every penny. I am still have my guest talk about them apples, "I was going to eat one or two pieces and then I ate the whole apple" lol

The cake was delicious! I can't wait for our 1st anniversary just so that I can eat more cake! :) The design was simple and elegant. There were a few details that weren't quite right, like the foil color under the cake (gold - eeck!) and the finish of the icing (it had sparkles in it and that isn't what I asked for). I would just recommend that when you have your consult, that you make sure to cover all of your bases.

The PA Bakery was one of the best parts of the wedding. They were able to take our vision of having whoopie pies, rather than a cake, and developed a beautiful arrangement for us. They were also able to make a fun groom's cake as well. My husband and I always wanted whoopie pies but found that other vendors were pricey when it came to this delicacy. We thought we weren't going to be able to have them until we went to the PA Bakery, who was very accommodating and wrapped the whoopie pies in saran wrap and then put them individually into bags tied with ribbons. We were worried about it looking tacky, but it was the exact opposite. Our guests loved them because they were absolutely delicious--one cousin ate four of them! We would highly recommend PA Bakery for its reasonable prices and excellent service.

Our cake was absolutley beautiful!! We gave them pictures of what we had in mind for our cake and when it was delivered it was above and beyond what we even expected! Very impressed with the way the bakery worked with us. Although they forgot to deliver some of the decorations, they did eventually get there prior to the start of the ceremony and the cake looked absolutely beautiful. Definitely one of a kind!

I loooved my cake, they took my own design and made it soo much better. We saved our top layer, for our first year anniversary, and it tasted just as good as it did the day we got married.

PA Bakery made us the most delicious cake I've had in my whole life! We had a three tier cake: butter cream frosting with vanilla cake and cannoli filing. Our guests definitely loved the cake! We ordered enough cake for 225 and only had 150 at our wedding, and all the cake was gone by the end! They did a beautiful job decorating the cake, and I was thrilled with how it looked. They are expensive but it's definitely worth the money.

We ordered a yellow cake with Cream Cheese Icing and Raspberry Filling form PA Bakery, with a branch style design with vines and leaves, and custom Dogwood flowers. It was GORGEOUS and they did an excellent job of smoothing out a volatile icing into crisp edges. Staff were friendly and kind. The parlor where you sit to look at cake books is charming and sweet. My only complaint would be that the specialty icings are so expensive: an extra $100 on top of the standard butter-cream, although I could be ignorant on the subject, as I am not a baker. Additionally, be aware that they will only do fillings on the top layer of the cake, as it is more apt to slide during delivery and smash the cake. It's a good reason, but I was a little sad as the raspberry was DELICIOUS beyond belief.
Overall, we were incredibly happy with the cake and the staff and the price, icing forgiven.

Our guests couldn't rave enough about how delicious our cake was! We ordered the carrot cake and the strawberry torte. Both flavors were absolutely out of this world! The only reason we didn't give 5 stars for professionalism was that we were initially over charged for our three simple cakes (not a traditional wedding cake) and there was some confusion as to when we needed to order since we had a tasting so far in advance of the wedding. However, the staff at the bakery caught the error and fixed it for us immediately. I would HIGHLY recommend them!

Instead of a traditional wedding cake, my husband & I chose cupcakes so that we could have a variety of flavors. On a visit to Harrisburg, we stopped by the PA Bakery & picked up some cupcakes - delicious!!! We set up a cake tasting to try different flavor combinations. When we arrived, the cupcakes were ready to go & the staff allowed us time to taste them before discussing what we wanted to order. We selected 5 different cupcake flavors & chose an Italian rum cake for our topper to cut. Sarah provided suggestions & guidance but allowed us to be as creative as we wanted with the flavors.
On our wedding day, the cupcakes & cupcake tower were delivered on time & set up at our venue by PA Bakery staff. All of our guests were impressed by the variety of flavors & raved about the flavors & freshness.
When we returned the cupcake tower the next day, the manager was not available to refund our deposit but returned the money to our credit card within a day or two of return.
We can't wait for our next trip out to Harrisburg to pick up some more cupcakes!

Cake was delicious. Their prices did go up after we ordered our cake and we were told we would have to put together a new order if we wanted to downsize our cake. We stayed with the larger cake and just had leftovers. The flowers and desgins on the cake was lovely.

Old reliable

My family has been going to PA bakery for holidays and birthdays for as long as I can remember. We ended up using them for our wedding, too. Everything turned out great. We got to exactly personalize what our cake looked like and they added flowers that we provided. We also had Fall themed cupcakes and other sweet treats. We’re glad we went with them. It all tasted great. We did have lots of leftovers though! Only thing I’d say is call them - they don’t respond to emails.

Small wedding in the city

We had a small cutting cake and whoopee pies for our big day... everything was delicious! At our cake tasting we requested that one cake flavor be made into a whoopee, mocha w/ hazelnut, and they did not disappoint!

We ordered a small, two tier, wedding cake. It was a very simply cake. We had a smooth fondant over the icing, a ribbon wrapped around the bottom of both tiers, and simple piping in front of both ribbons. The rest of the decoration was fresh flowers.

My husband told them he would be there at 6am the day of to pick up the cake. When he arrived, the cake was ready, but none of the piping was done. When we ordered the cake, we had given them a picture that they could recreate from. He said they had the picture there, and it was written in the contract to have the piping. We're not sure what happened, but it was somehow overlooked. Luckily, we were there so early that there was time to add it.

The bakery didn't have any of there really good decorators there, so they offered to correct the problem and deliver the cake to the church. They arrived on time, and the cake was how we ordered it.

I have ordered from PA Bakery a lot of times, and this was the first time we had any issues. They remedied the mistake, and it tasted great!

My husband and I are not really cake people. We really like cheesecake and wanted that instead. Finding cheesecake in the area was challenging, but the Pennsylvania Bakery was able to accommodate us. Since cheesecakes are smaller than a traditional wedding cake, we used several different cheesecakes, which gave us the freedom to choose 7 different flavors of cheesecake. We were able to sample 5 different flavors at our tasting, and even though we brought 4 people, we all left quite full afterwards. Our guests loved the cheesecake and said their only difficulty was determining which flavor to choose. The Pennsylvania Bakery was flexible with delivering the cheesecakes after the start of the wedding so they needed less chilling time at the wedding.

This company does not put pressure on you at all!! You schedule an appointment and pick 5 different cake variations to be ready for you to try at your appointment. You sit in a little area and they let you do your thing until you are ready to decide whether to order or not. The $20 fee you pay will go towards the cake if you decide to order one. When it comes down to it, the cake was VERY beautiful!! I had no picture to even show how I wanted my cake because there were different elements from different cakes I wanted to put together. They nailed it!! Only issue we had was when I went to go pay off the remaining balance and ask about what they sit the cake on, I had learned that they had me down for a round cake when we requested a square cake. We could have changed it there but it was a $75 up charge. They do great work and are very easy to work with but it can get very pricey when you start adding unique elements to it such as different shapes, fillers, flowers ect.

My cake was beautiful, as far as getting the colors right. It was also very delicious. I thought it was a little pricey for the size cake we got, but it was still cheaper than other vendors in our area. It was an overall good experience.

The bakery was very accomodating given that I had to order my cake completely through email/phone (lived out of state). The cake was expensive and we also payed a fee for cake delivery and set up. With that said, the cake was absolutely delicious and great quality cake. We didn't have any cake left-over at the end of the event because everyone enjoyed it so much! I was slightly disappointed with the design-- it wasn't quite like the pictures that I had provided or the quality design that I believed I was paying for. Regardless, great quality cake.

They were very nice and did a great job with the cake. I wrote out every detail that we wanted and they made my dream wedding cake become a reality. The price wasnt bad either, and everyone loved the cake and said it tasted delicious.

Our cake by PA Bakery was beautiful and so delicious! Everyone was talking about how delicious it was! We even had a special gluten free cake made for us which was top notch! There were some hiccups with getting the decor brought with the cake, but PA Bakery returned promptly to the venue and the final product was better than I could have imagined. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a cake for their special occasion!

I love this bakery! Family favorite for several years. Cake consultation was great! Although somethings needed to be changed and when called told that no appointment was necessary. With no appointment made, my mom and I went to bakery to change/add details and the lady that waited on us rude the entire time and kept saying you should have made an appointment. I talked to 2 different people and they both said no appointment. She should have been reprimanded for how she acted. She made us feel so uncomfortable the whole time, like we were inconveniencing her from her job. Needless to say, I did not accomplish much that visit, left and made an appointment to make the rest of the changes and was amendment to have appointment. The person we worked with the third time was patient, amazing, and helped us w/ our decisions. Grooms cake A++++. Wedding Cake A++ (circle around doves on cake could have been a little nicer--one side was round other side looked to be short of a circle and almost formed a straight line.

We used PA Bakery because of all the great things we have heard about them. We were very underwhelmed. The pre-tasting was ok. I felt like we did not get a lot of help in choosing what was best. They really rely on you to know exactly what you want. We drew out what we wanted the cake design to be and thought we were all on the same page. We were not. Cake was nothing like we expected. The only saving grace was the cake and cupcakes we ordered were very very delicious.

We decided to go with Pennsylvania Bakery for our wedding cake because we heard wonderful things about their cakes. The cupcakes and cake we selected were delicious and everything came out perfect just like I had requested! My only negative comment about Pennsylvania Bakery was the lack of the staffs communication. I must have had multiple people dealing with my order and I was consistently having to check to make sure things were being done communicated and they weren't. I had multiple phone calls from different employees all asking me the same questions about my orders.

I used PA bakery for my wedding cupcakes because I wanted some gluten free cupcakes. The cupcakes were delicious and I was happy with them. Unfortunately the service was sub-par. The woman I worked with during the initial cupcake tasting was unpleasant and not helpful; I also felt very rushed. I paid for the cupcakes to be delivered and set up and the person who delivered them left the cupcakes on an empty table and when we opened the box one of the cupcakes was on its side. I called to complain but the deliverer claimed someone told him to put the cupcakes on an empty table, which is not true as I checked with my wedding caterer. I would recommend using some place else.

The professionalism at this vendor was not great. We had a very difficult time choosing an icing as each time we went in they told us a different story. We did not talk with the lady that handles most weddings until our third visit by which we were already frustrated. The cake was beautiful and delicious, but the process leading up to it was not.

My husband and I had a very clear idea of what we were wanting for our wedding cake when we walked into the Pennsylvania Bakery but were disappointed with the end result. The cake flavors and icing were absolutely delicious, however the service was less than desireable and I was heartbroken when I saw the cake on our wedding day. We were going with a "sports themes" cake and I specifically said I did not want the logos done in rice paper but that's exactly what they did. I would recommend the to anyone looking for a good cup of coffee and a cookie but not for something as important as a wedding cake.

I grew up going to this bakery, and all of my birthday cakes came from here. I was very excited to wok with them on my wedding cake, but I realized very quickly that this vendor would not work for us. I scheduled our tasting a month in advance and paid the $20 fee over the phone when I booked the tasting. Imagine our surprise when we showed up for the tasting and they had no record of our appointment. However, my credit card was charged the $20 fee weeks earlier. The manager never apologized to us. The staff went around the bakery pulling slices of various flavors we requested, and just plopped them down in front of us. Many were still partially frozen. We were left alone to look at sample books, and when the girl returned after we tasted the flavored that we're available, she immediately said "so what cake do you want to order?" We were shocked to learn about all the extra fees charged for every little thing. By the time she priced out everything we wanted, it ended up being hundreds of dollars over the boutique wedding cake place that we also tried. I think the icing on the cake (pun intended) was that they were changing out their window displays that day. As a result, the tasting area was covered in garbage cans, decorations, and older dusty displays. They pushed everything off of one table so we could sit down, but one of their staff members kept asking my mom to hand him stuff behind her chair. We were surprised by how we were treated as long-time customers, so unfortunately we had to go with another vendor. It's a shame. I think we'll be back for day-to-day bakery needs, but I won't trust them with something as important as a wedding cake.

Don't ever use PABakery for your wedding cake! I did and had a horrible experience! I told them when I ordered my cake to have it at the venue by 1:45! We got to the venue around 3 and the cake had still not arrived! I had to get on the phone at my wedding reception to ask where my cake was! The girl I spoke to was very rude and said the delivery guy was probably stuck in traffic. I don't think so! This was a Saturday..the bakery is in Camp Hill & my reception was in Mechanicsburg. It would not take an hour and a half even in traffic! I asked for the manager and was told he was not there. My cake arrived about 20 minutes later by a guy driving a beat up pickup truck! They could not even deliver the cake in there company van! The guy set the cake up quickly and took off. After my honeymoon.
I called&spoke with the owner. He said he would look into what happened & get back to me. I never even got an "I'm sorry" from him! He never did get back to me. I wrote him a letter and got no response! I would never use PA Bakery for anything again! They are rude and obviously don't care about there customers!

I went to PA Bakery for my wedding cake. I knew exactly what I wanted on the cake and how I wanted it to look. I took pictures in to show them (some were even off their webiste). The day of my wedding came and the cake showed up without flowers!! I was suppose to have a ton of pink flowers all over the cake and there wasnt even one. The center tier was not in the diamond shape like I had asked for and showed a picture of.

We had to called them to fix it. The only thing they did was put a few little flowers on the cake and they werent even the right color!! Their only saving grace is that the cake tasted great, however I do NOT recommend using them.

I called in to talk to Pam (the so called manager) who was very rude with me and told me it was my fault. Yeah you are right, its my fault I thought my cake would look the way I asked and its my fault for picking a bakery that I thought was good. Never again!!
