Perfect Wedding Start to Finish
From start to finish we enjoyed working with the Pavilion on Crystal Lake. We opted to rent out the cottage for pictures and getting ready beforehand which was helpful. They had a plan for every detail of the wedding so it would go flawlessly and had regular communication with us throughout the planning process. Best Fall Wedding
The CT wedding group were amazing from the first day we met them at the Pavilion on Crystal Lake to the big day. They helped with every small detail, and made the wedding planning process fun and as stress free as possible. The Pavilion on Crystal Lake is a beautiful venue, from the lake, ceremony location outdoor and great indoor space. We had to move our ceremony indoors and the team made it beautiful and exceeded my expectations. The food is amazing from cocktail hour all the way to dessert. The day of staff was amazing. We had Dimitri and Melissa as our coordinators and they were truly the dream team. Anything we needed they were already two steps ahead. The whole staff were amazing and ready to have a good time with us and our guests. Our family still talks about the staff, the food, and venue a month later. We could not have asked for a better team, venue and wedding day❤️ -

The Pavilion on Crystal Lake and CT Wedding Group made our wedding dreams come true. The planning process with CT wedding group was very easy- I never found myself stress or overwhelmed. Lexi helped us every step of the way and intimately knew our wedding details without us having to remind her, seriously, she knew what she was doing and kept us on track for a year and a half leading up to the big day- we could NOT have done this without her. Dmitri was also so wonderful day of and was so attentive and knowledgeable! We planned our wedding from out of state and did minimal decor- CT wedding group plugged in with what they could that matched our colors and theme perfectly! CT wedding group’s recommended vendors were all wonderful and provided excellent services. The food and drinks were absolutely amazing and the best I’ve ever had at a wedding! The venue spaces - getting ready cottage, the ceremony location, cocktail hour and reception space were all SO beautiful and really perfect for the fall! The staff overall was exceptional, thoughtful, fun, and really just great overall! The team accommodated some non-standard requests like a New Orleans style second line around the venue, our dog being on site for part of the day to be in pictures, and also allowing us to have our guest on the dance floor during dinner as we played our loved one’s wedding songs so they could have a special dance during our day. This was the wedding of our dreams and it is because of CT wedding group. I cannot thank them enough for making our dreams a reality. Everything went perfectly and I knew that if anything didn’t there were back up plans and contingencies and that Lexi and team would make it feel perfect anyway. This was legitimately the best day of our lives thanks to CT wedding group. We got married almost two months ago now and we still have friends and family telling us that their wedding was the best wedding they have ever attended. The CT wedding group team were our partners in planning and making our dreams come true. We were legitimately depressed in the weeks after the wedding because of how sad we were that it was over. We talk about Lexi all the time and wonder how she’s doing. I don’t think there is a singular company or place that has made an impact on our lives the way that CT Wedding Group and Pavilion did. This was the best decision we made and I simply couldn’t be happier! -

If your wedding priorities include getting married in a beautiful place, being extremely well taken care of, and eating DELICIOUS food, using CT Wedding Group is the way to go! We worked with the CT Wedding Team for our wedding at the Pavilion for 2 years and they were amazing to work with from day one. They were there for us every step of the way and really made the all of the planning as low stress as it could be. The entire team is friendly, responsive, and VERY good at their jobs. Whatever your questions, whatever your requests, they’ll work with you to make your dream wedding happen.
Our dream day was especially made possible by Sean & Melissa’s expertise. They had the entire handles from start to finish and made sure our big day was flawless. Sean and Melissa always knew exactly what we needed and had it ready to go for us before we even asked. Truly phenomenal to work with—they made our dream wedding a reality and we can’t thank them enough. We couldn't be more pleased with our wedding at the Pavilion on Crystal Lake! This venue is part of the CT Wedding Group and they are truly experts at what they do!
Aesthetically, the venue is GORGEOUS. We loved the fact that we could have the best of both worlds--both inside and outside--for our wedding day. It was perfect! The outdoor ceremony space is intimate and romantic with a canopy of trees, garden lights, and a gazebo. The indoor reception area is just as intimate and has beautiful windows overlooking the lake. There are many different ways you can add on decor to make the inside as "dolled up" as you want. We also got ready for the day on the property at the Lake Cottage. Having been to multiple weddings where the wedding party had to get shuffled from one place to the next, we knew how much simpler and less stressful things would be if we could eliminate all of that. The Cottage is super cute and had everything we needed!
Choosing a wedding venue was challenging, but there were a few things that set The Pavilion apart from the others. First, the food. From the beginning, we came to understand that the CT Wedding Group is very "food forward." They pride themselves on their high-quality food, presentation, and the fact that couples don't have to pick and choose options to save money--so much is just included. And simply put: the food was INCREDIBLE. The 10 passed hors d'oeuvres were delicious. We added on "The Farm Stand" which was the most elaborate charcuterie board anyone has ever seen. The dinner entrees were out of this world and dessert was divine. Every guest continues to rave to us about the food! It did not disappoint!
Another thing that set apart this venue was the team of people. Once we signed the contract, we were on board with the CT Wedding Group and part of their little family. This group of people took such good care of us throughout the whole planning process! People ask if we hired a coordinator, and it was hard to answer because we had a whole TEAM of coordinators. They kept us on a schedule, made sure we were checking off things on our to-do list, hosting Zoom meetings, and were available to talk whenever we needed. Since our emails/texts went to an entire group of people, it meant we had rapid responses. Also, we never felt like any question was too small, nor any request too big. They were so kind to us and we felt extremely well cared for.
Last but not least, the CT Wedding Group provides a day-of coordinator, which was amazing. By the time the day of your wedding rolls around, you will be done with decision making. All you want is to show up and have everyone tell you what to do! Our coordinator, Dimitri, was great. We knew we were in good hands and he made sure the day ran so smoothly. He also made sure we had exactly what we needed at every point in the day/night. We had no stress on our wedding day because of this!
All in all, we HIGHLY recommend this venue. If not this venue, then any of the other CT Wedding Group properties. Our guests loved our wedding and so did we. You will have the BEST day! -

If I could do my wedding all over again, I would choose The Pavilion on Crystal Lake/CT Wedding Group every time. They are incredibly reliable, helpful, and communicative. Throughout the planning process, they provide regular meetings to help make sure all aspects of your wedding planning are on track, even giving you timelines for when to book other vendors, have suits ordered, etc. On the day of, they provided us with an amazing coordinator (thank you Dimitri!) who made sure our decor was perfectly arranged, our day was on schedule, and any problems that came up were quickly resolved with minimal input needed from my husband and I. Lastly, we're still getting raving reviews from our guests about how phenomenal the food was! I'm a vegetarian and they had plenty of meat-free options for all of the courses. I can't recommend CT Wedding Group enough! -

The Most Magical Day!
Words can’t say enough amazing things about our experience with the CT Wedding Group at the Pavilion on Crystal Lake! From the initial planning process to the final dance of the night, everything was absolutely perfect - and that’s largely due to their incredible staff. We had our wedding on May 10th, 2025. It was the best day of our lives. From start to finish the CT Wedding Group helped us all along the way with our planning and dialing in all the last minute details. They’re very professional but also understand the stresses of planning a wedding. They were supportive of all of our ideas, even if it didn’t all play out. Our DOC Shannon was a pleasure to work with and our guests loved the extra care and attention that the staff provided on our wedding day. Food was absolutely great and probably the most important detail of our wedding. Everyone was raving about the food and the whole venue experience. They even gave us one of each meal at the end of the night so we had a chance to enjoy what all our guests were having, even though we were very full from all the food earlier. It is a beautiful place to have a wedding and reception. Highly recommend to any couple looking for a beautiful, rustic venue with professionals to help with wedding planning. This bride was happy and stress free. -

Our perfect, flawless wedding day was 10/5/24. When we first started searching for venues, we found the CT wedding group and saw the endless 5 star reviews. When you read these reviews, please believe every single word!! The staff at CT wedding group and The Pavilion on Crystal Lake made the last 2 years of planning and our wedding day the most incredible, supportive, perfect experience we could have ever dreamed of! From the moment we toured the Barns at Wesleyan Hills and The Pavilion on Crystal Lake, we were immediately sold. We decided to book our wedding at The Pavilion on Crystal Lake because we truly just fell in love with the venue as soon as we walked in. Casey answered every single question we had prior to booking our wedding, and the entire planning team was there morning, noon, and night for the entire duration of our planning. We were able to reach them via email, call, text, and in person meeting and had responses to any questions almost immediately. They checked in with us consistently to ensure we were on track, and were extremely supportive with all of our vendors as well. Mary, our day of coordinator, and Eddie surpassed our expectations. They were genuinely incredible and made our vision come to life. I truly cannot put into words how amazing they were. We had a plate of appetizers and dessert in the bridal suite for my husband and I, our hands always had a drink of our choice in them, and Mary and Eddie flawlessly orchestrated our night and didn’t skip a beat or miss a single detail. Our friends and family have raved about the food, venue, overall experience, and have said that our wedding was the best wedding they’ve ever been to. This review is for all the procrastinators out there! It took me two years to write this, but today marks our second wedding anniversary—married on October 30, 2022. The Pavilion on Crystal Lake and the CT Wedding Group deserve the utmost recognition for making our day truly perfect. From our first tour with Jess to the incredible day-of experience, the planning team was friendly, organized, and communicative. The breathtaking views, welcoming staff, and amazing food left a lasting impression. We still hear rave reviews about the thick-cut bacon served with the bar snacks! Shelby, our day-of coordinator, was exceptional. She kept me calm and guided me through breathing exercises before I walked down the aisle. If we could do it all again, we would choose this venue without hesitation! -

Dream Wedding! 😍
This venue is an easy 10/10! My husband and I got married 10/4/24 and It was an absolute dream. Starting from the planning processes all the way to the wedding day. The staff are extremely nice and do everything in their power to make sure your vision comes to life. They are the kind of staff that feel like family or you have known them forever. They do zoom meeting to make sure you are exactly where you need to be in your planning processes, so when i tell you as a bride that our planning processes was stress free and we enjoyed every minute of It I 100000%mean that. Not only are the staff amazing but the view of your ceremony and reception is beautiful and let’s not forget about our chefs and kitchen staff the food alone will leave your guest talking about your wedding for the years to come. The farm to table entrees and cocktail hour is completely customizable. Please don’t even get me started on the decor the beautiful string lights instantly grab your attention as soon as you walk into the outside ceremony area and follow you in to your reception area with your completely customizable decor options. I am telling you it’s like Pinterest comes to life. I cannot say enough good things about this venue. My husband and I would do our wedding over and over again we do not regret anything about our special day It was an absolute dream and the feeling of having the most PERFECT wedding is something indescribable. Would highly recommend any of the CT wedding groups venues. -

From start to end, the team at the Pavilion were spectacular. Anytime I had a question or needed a recommendation they were right on top of it. We never felt stressed or unsure of what we should be doing when it came to planning. All of the coordinators kept us on track and solved any problems we encountered. They made my vision come true. Mary was our day of coordinator, she was right by our side the entire day. From checking on me and my girls getting ready, to making sure my husband and I had drinks in our hands & food in our bellies all evening long. She solved any problems we ran into, even when we had an unexpected guest show up to our wedding, she handed it in a calm manner. We also worked with Eddie who made our 3000+ family cookie table a literal dream. He turned our family tradition into a magical disney land of cookies!!! His energy and enthusiasm for our wedding made my heart so happy. The food was so incredible, I've heard nothing but amazing reviews from our friends and family. Mary & Eddie were truly a pleasure to work with and I can say they were a huge asset to make our special day so perfect. I cannot thank the two of them and all of the other wonderful staff enough. We're so happy we went with our first instinct and had our wedding at the Pavilion. It was a night no one will ever forget! -

Our experience with the CT Wedding Group and their venue at the Pavilion on Crystal Lake was incredible! From our tour of the venue and on, we felt so taken care of in every phase of the wedding planning experience. Our favorite overall element is how all inclusive the CT Wedding group is, everything from food to their beautiful decor could all be handled through their services. I can’t tell you how much weight that took off our shoulders! They were also amazing from a communication standpoint, and the meetings we had at different points of our wedding planning did an excellent job of making sure we were on point and easing our worries. The best wedding ever!
Words cannot express how incredible The Pavilion was for our wedding. From the coordinators who would answer every last minute detail texts, soothing wedding anxiety, and making our day run smoothly, they do it all! An extra big shout out to Allie and Lindsay who were ours! The only issue we had with food was that our stomachs were big enough for it all! They have a very inclusive menu and work around allergies/special menu options to make sure everyone had something to eat. The venue itself is a beautiful quiet area where you can just celebrate your love. I truly cannot say enough good things about this venue. It made our wedding dreams a reality. -

NEVER enough words for how PERFECT our Venue was!
There will never be enough words for how much we LOVED our venue! Now that our wedding is over I wish I could plan another event with CT wedding group.
From the countless phone calls, the venue date night, all the details, finding vendors, the days leading up to the wedding, the day of OUR WEDDING and everywhere in between. We couldn’t have asked for a better group of people. You all are really so amazing especially Cate the great.
My husband and I planned our wedding from California and as nerve-racking as that was everything went exactly as planned on our wedding day. This doesn’t happen very often, but there was not one hiccup throughout the day and even if there was CT wedding group, make sure I had no idea! And still no idea!
Getting ready on site was so wonderful to make the morning as stress-free as possible. The weather was perfect. We got to get married under the gazebo which was a big reason why we picked the venue in the first place.
We are big Disney fans and brought a lot of our own personal and sentimental items. None were ruined, and I told our story of Disney so well.
We got married on May 6 of 2023 and I still have guest to this day telling me how wonderful the venue was and how amazing the food was!
Once again, we really cannot think the entire team for such a seamless day. Brian and myself are so very thankful for each and everyone of you.

From day 1 my husband and I felt supported, taken care of and in just the best hands possible
If you want to wow your guests with the food and hear things like, "this is the best food I've ever had a wedding," then you have found the right place. From drinks to dessert, you have found a top tier wedding venue that truly is above and beyond the rest.
The staff is beyond exceptional, the setting is truly stunning and the cottage provided to get ready is unreal. This venue will meet all your needs and then some

Words aren't enough to describe The Pavilion & CT Wedding Group! Our day was absolutely perfect in HUGE part thanks to them.
We viewed a bunch of other venues where we really felt like just a number & a dollar sign. CT Wedding Group made us feel special and they actually listened to what we wanted out of our day. We live in the UK so were planning from abroad and immediately felt like we could trust the team at The Pavilion to make our dream wedding come true. And boy were we right!!
The planning process was extremely smooth and clearly catered to each couple. They said they would be there as little or as often as we needed them and that's exactly how it was, we felt supported every step of the way. Some months we didn't need much help and other month's I was e-mailing them everyday and always got a response within a few hours! They made all of our wishes come true, even the ones we weren't sure were possible to make happen, they made it all happen and then some!
The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, situated right on Crystal Lake. The nice thing is that there isn't anything else immediately next door, so you feel like you have your own little oasis. The ceremony space is so incredible, I am SO glad that it's the backdrop for our wedding photos that will hang in our house forever. The pavilion with the greenery behind is just gorgeous. Every single one of our guests commented on how beautiful the space was. Inside the venue, it's an old remodelled barn with a light wood. We were looking for a rustic but not TOO rustic feel and it was perfect for us. The windows on the left side look into the lake and the lighting around the room really complimented the wood.
The FOOD. I have been to so many weddings with average to below average food. That is not the case here. The food here is to die for. Every single bit of it. I want all of my friends to get married there in the future so I can have all of the food again. Our guests also all commented on the food and how great it was!
The day ran so smoothly and it's just a clear indication of how great their team is. Everything flowed organically, even the parts we weren't sure would (we're an international couple so were doing some fun mixed tradition things). I honestly just wish we could get married there again because the day was perfect!The Pavilion on Crystal Lake's reply:

We did our wedding with the Connecticut Wedding Group at Pavilion on Crystal Lake. They were absolutely incredible from start to finish. We appreciated constant updates, communication and quick responses. No question was silly. They were so helpful throughout the whole planning process. The night of the wedding everything ran so smoothly. Many of our guests said the flow was amazing. Everyone was raving about the food especially the chicken dish. There was so much food for cocktail hour, main meal and dessert. The donuts were AMAZING!! Our wedding coordinator Lexi was absolutely incredible and I want her to be my friend. CT Wedding Group was amazing to work with! From the moment we signed our contract two years prior to our wedding, to our wedding night, they were always so supportive every step of the way. Having a built in team of wedding planners a quick email away helped the planning process be a breeze. We worked with Allie so much leading up to our wedding, and loved her! Lexi was our day of coordinator and she was AMAZING! She put us right at ease and she had our full confidence which allowed us to relax, take in, and enjoy our wedding night. We got married at the Pavilion on Crystal Lake. The shady ceremony location was perfect for our summer wedding, and the cocktail hour overlooking the lake was gorgeous. We loved every aspect of the venue!! The ladies got ready in the Cottage on site, and wow, we were impressed we had the whole house to ourselves and it gave us so much room to relax and get ready. We are so happy with how our day went. Our guests raved about the food!! Starting with the Prosecco and popsicles for our 90 degree day, to the many, many cocktail hour food options, to our amazing dinner entrees, the guests were well fed and very pleased! Ct wedding group and pavilion on Crystal lake are excellent to work with. Up until the day of they help you with any sort of requests you have and answer within a day. No matter what question or request you have they’ll take care of it and get back to you. The experience was just short of amazing. We also had Cate as our day of coordinator who made our day so special. She was attentive and made sure everything was on point for the day and truly made me feel like it was our special day and no one else’s. It may have been raining the entire day but no one stopped that from letting us have fun. Cate and all the crew made sure the rain didn’t affect us at all and had back up plans. Best Day Ever
The Pavilion on Crystal Lake was the first venue we took a tour of. When we left our first visit, we immediately cancelled our tours at other venues because we knew there would be no better place for us! From the moment we booked our date we felt important. The planning team reached out to us many times leading up to our date to offer ideas and assistance. Whenever I sent an email asking a question, I never waited long for a response. Everyone on the planning team is so friendly and helpful. We used the cabin on sight to get ready and it was PERFECT. My girls and I had so much fun getting ready in the cabin and it was so nice already being on site after getting our hair and makeup done. Our guests loved the ceremony space. While the space is a short walk from the parking lot, the tall trees really make it feel like you are in an enchanted forest far from the rest of the world. The location, scenery, food and staff make this venue an actual dream come true. Our day of coordinator, Allie, was so helpful and sweet. She listened to my ideas, helped me fill in the blanks when making decisions such as how to line up our wedding party and she truly brought my decor visions to life while adding her own beautiful touches. My mom could not believe how special Allie even made her feel. As the parents of the bride, they were called to the buffet first and always felt that Allie and the team were there to offer them a drink. All of the staff at this venue go above and beyond to make the bride and groom and every guest feel welcomed and comfortable. I'm not sure I even have the capacity to describe how thoroughly the Pavilion on Crystal Lake exceeded our expectations. They held our hands throughout the entire planning process, prompting us when it was time to make big decisions and helping to connect us with a florist, a transportation company, a hotel, and other outside vendors. Our day-of coordinator, Nicole, was an absolute legend; she kept the entire operation running smoothly from start-to-finish, letting us sit back and enjoy ourselves worry-free.
The ceremony and reception site themselves were *gorgeous*. Overlooking a lake and small beach, we hit the jackpot this fall with changing leaves. The Pavilion also helps with a lot of the interior decor and seriously blew our guests away with a reception hall that looked like something out of a fairy tale.
And that's not even getting into the best part: the FOOD. Oh my GOD the food was good. The passed appetizers? Incredible. The farm table at cocktail hour? Beautifully stocked and arranged. The salad and main course selections? DELICIOUS. When your ten year old nephew comes up to you and says you "have to" try the fish, you know the chefs knocked it out of the park. They have a special, plated selection for guests with dietary restrictions that our guests *loved* -- no sad cardboard meals for your vegan or gluten free friends.
And the dessert? Holy wow, the dessert! We decided not to have a traditional wedding cake and instead went for a smorgasbord of cupcakes, cannolis, ice cream, and donuts. No regrets!
At the end of the day, we can't recommend the Pavilion enough. There isn't a single thing either of us would change about our wedding, and we truly appreciate the effort our team of servers, bartenders, chefs, kitchen staff, and coordinators put in to leave us with a wonderful experience and many lasting memories.The Pavilion on Crystal Lake's reply:

As soon as we visited the Pavilion on Crystal Lake, we cancelled our other venue tours because we really fell in love right away. We truly could not have made a better decision than to go with this venue. They have zooms scheduled throughout your wedding planning to make sure you have everything you need, but they really have everything covered. Everything about the day was absolutely perfect. I was so nervous about all the little details and they took care of everything. I brought pretty much no decor and they made the place look gorgeous. Shelby, our coordinator was outstanding! She was always there with a drink in her hand for my husband & I, made sure we ate, pretty much directed us with everything we should do before the dancing so we never had to leave the dance floor once we started. I did not have to worry about anything the entire day thanks to her! And the food was amazing, every one of our guests said it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. They also helped pack everything back up & got everyone out on time. I cannot recommend that Pavilion on Crystal Lake & CT Wedding Group enough! We chose the Pavilion off of our gut feeling when we first visited it. I was looking for a rustic barn venue and the CT Wedding Group venue (The Barn at Wesleyan Hills) was a perfect venue in the sense of the building itself but when we saw the Pavilion on Crystal Lake we fell in love with the location as well as the building. It still had that rustic charm but in a beautiful wooded area and the lake perfected it for us. We knew we had to act fast because they were booking up quickly. The day went so smoothly and the planning team was so helpful in getting us to that point. We had zoom meetings evert few months to target certain aspects in planning and ensure we were on a good timeline. The planning team was excellent and so friendly, especially Samantha and Allie. They answered all of our questions and even helped us with things we didn't know we would have questions on. The couple weeks just before the wedding I found myself emailing the team every other day and they quickly responded to me needs and helped set up a last minute call to ease my mind on the last minute worries. Mary Beth was very helpful at that time. Our day of coordinators were Jenna and Erin and they were so excellent. It felt like we had friends helping us through the day rather than people we had just met! They ensured the timeline was stuck to and that we ate and drank! They kept the whole bridal party informed of things we needed to do and when and they helped keep us happy every step of the way. The food was DELICIOUS! I heard no complaints only compliments from all the guests. We even got to try one of each meal afterward to take home and reheated they were just as good as I remembered! The venue itself was decorated beautifully and better than I had pictured. The staff was helpful and friendly and the day was PERFECT! My husband and I got married here this June of 2022, and had the best day of our life. The year and a half leading up to our wedding was made much easier with the help of the CT Wedding Group crew. Their response time is succinct, and they are all so polite and helpful. The day of our wedding ran perfectly, with many thanks to our coordinator, Shelby, who is nothing short of AMAZING. All of our guests are still raving about the quality of the food they had at our wedding, which is an important factor when attending a wedding. Our timeline ran so smoothly, and any issues or concerns we had were addressed immediately by the team. The Pavilion is a perfect venue to have your ceremony outside in the beautiful gazebo area overlooking the lake, with a transition to the covered patio for cocktail hour, and ending the night inside the air conditioned reception area. The set up of the reception area is great with the dance floor being in the center of the room, and the bar being close to the dance floor as well. Without a doubt, the best decision we made when wedding planning was booking this venue.
On our tour, we were given a soup-to-nuts overview of what the venue and our coordinators can assist with. From day 1 we were treated as if we were the only wedding on the calendar, which exciting count-down emails, check-ins to stay on track and helpful referrals that made decision-making a breeze.
We were assigned two WONDERFUL coordinators for our day-of that made sure we ate (thank you) made sure we had a drink in our hand (thank you) and made sure that we remembered to take leftovers home (thank you!) Seriously- they were flexible to most of our special requests, they made us feel like royalty for the day, they assisted with all those little (and big) things that make the day run smoothly, and they asked where our parents were sitting so they could introduce themselves to them, and also offer the same TLC to them, as they did to us, which was huge. As the night was going on, our coordinators even contacted our school bus transportation to and from the hotel to provide an update and request a second bus- which was such a relief. At the end of the night, they packed it all up for us!
One recommendation to future couples- TAKE THE 15 MINUTES TO YOURSELF IN THE BRIDAL SUITE BEFORE THE RECEPTION INTROS. My husband and I opted into this- and after photos, we walked into an Air conditioned bridal suite which a beautiful spread of all the passed houre d'oeuvres, our BBQ in a jar live-action app (yum), and our signature drinks. Our coordinators told us we had 10/15 minutes to just breathe, and honestly, this was the first time we were alone! We were able to soak in the ceremony, the day, and all those butterfly feelings together before we got the party started. This was such a special moment for us, and I am thankful that this was given as an option to us.
You get what you pay for, and then some, with this venue. Honestly, I will recommend to anyone who will listen. We showed up, had the best day of our lives, and rode off into the sunset- and didn’t have to lift a finger.

This is the best place to have a wedding. Ever. As a bride I felt taken care of and at peace from the moment we toured to the moment we left Middletown after the wedding. Impressed is an understatement for this venue. We and all of our guests were completely floored at the amazing service we received from the staff at the pavilion. They made the planning and execution of our wedding so easy it almost seemed effortless on my end, like did I even do anything? They handled it all. It's weird to describe wedding planning as minimally stressful, but that's exactly what it was. We had Samantha as our coordinator and Lexie as her right hand lady for the day. Every person was amazed at the attention to detail, from decorations to guest assistance, to food and drinks. OH MY GOODNESS! The food and drinks were phenomenal. It's been a few months since our wedding and we are STILL getting compliments about them. I can't recommend this venue or their staff enough. I even showed up with a box of decorations with no plan for them the day before the wedding and Samantha welcomed it with creativity, imagination and excitement. My constant questions never felt like a burden and I always felt supported along the way. They completely exceeded our expectations and we could not be more grateful to them for making our dreams come true! -

My husband and I got married at The Pavilion on Crystal Lake in December 2021 and to say it was beautiful and flawless is an understatement!! From the first tour at the venue, my husband and I knew this was were we were going to have our reception. The venue is beautiful, cozy and just overall has this winter/Christmas feel. CT wedding group was available at every step of the way with wedding planning. The tasting was one of my favorite days, and got us so excited for the wedding! When it was finally our wedding day, Shelby (our day of coordinator) made sure the entire cocktail hour and reception went smoothly. She was always checking on my husband and I, making sure we were eating and drinking, and enjoying ourselves! Our guests had the absolute BEST time and are still raving about the food and drinks!! If you're looking to book a venue, The Pavilion on Crystal Lake is it. It's been almost 3 months since our July wedding and our friends and family are still raving about it! The food was incredible and the team at The Connecticut Wedding Group goes unmatched. We began working with Allie in 2018 and were immediately impressed at how knowledgeable she was. She understood our vision from the start and that we were paying for the wedding ourselves. She did everything in her power to inspire us, and ensure that we got everything we wanted. We were originally set to get married in April 2020, however, due to the pandemic, we chose to postpone twice in order to keep our loved ones safe. Throughout the entire postponement the team at The Connecticut Wedding Group were flexible and understanding; reaching out to us asking how they could help, updating us on any changes, reminding us of decor options available etc. We were so thankful to have them hosting our wedding, knowing it was being directed by a team who truly cared about us. They did everything in their power to work with us and allow us to enjoy the prolonged wedding process despite the uncertainties. When our wedding day finally rolled around in July 2021 Allie was (very) pregnant and let us know that although she wouldn't be able to actually work our event, she would be putting us in Shelby's care and that she had filled her in on what was most important to us. Allie even showed up ON our wedding day for a couple hours just to see us, wish us luck, and make sure our vision came to life. Although we worked with Shelby for a shorter period of time than Allie, we felt like we had known her for years. She enthusiastically jumped into action during our final meeting and made us feel comfortable and excited for the next day to come. Throughout the wedding day/night, anything we needed, Shelby had us covered. She hit it off with our friends and family, kept us calm, laughed with us, and ensured everything went according to plan despite the tropical storm that hit. Shelby was (quite literally) our guardian angel on our wedding day and we are so thankful she was there with us through all the craziness. We cannot say enough about how incredible everyone is. It was a day we will never forget, put together by a team we are forever thankful for. -

The staff at CTWG was amazing - from day one of touring the venue to all the details, then having to postpone and then the days leading up to the wedding everyone we worked with was amazing, friendly and reliable. Allie was our coordinator the day of the wedding and I can’t say enough great things, she is bubbly, attentive, amazing at her job and made sure the day went flawlessly. The wait & bar staff was amazing, many people told us it was the best wedding food, if not just in general, one of the best meals they’ve ever had. Every little detail was perfect. I wish I could relive it again! If you’re thinking of choosing one of their venues- do it! -

Given the extensive services Connecticut Wedding Group provides, we’re going to do our best to speak to each aspect in turn, but the long and short of it is simple -- they’re spectacular!
First and foremost, our venue of choice, The Pavilion on Crystal Lake, is absolutely stunning. From the intimacy of the outdoor ceremony area to the beautiful lake view off the covered deck, everything simply adds to the mood of excitement for your special day. And the staff truly go above and beyond in further enhancing everything in accordance with your decor selections.
Speaking of staff: Literally every single individual we interacted with from Connecticut Wedding Group -- planners, chefs, coordinators, servers, and more -- were the epitome of professional, considerate, and gracious. Special shoutouts to the planners we were assigned: Samantha, Allie, Mary-Beth, and the list could go on and on. Each one of these experts remained readily available, fully engaged, and well-informed throughout the entirety of the planning process. Then, to take things a step further, Connecticut Wedding Group’s team as a whole executed flawlessly.
On that note, an additional shoutout is unquestionably deserved by Melinda, who we were beyond blessed to have assigned as our day-of event coordinator. She was incredible! Melinda continually checked in with us throughout the night, preempting any consideration and following through promptly on any request. Exhibiting an impressive grasp of even the smallest of details, she also proved to be an absolute savior in keeping things on schedule, going so far as to even bring us and our families drinks and food when she noticed us getting caught up in ongoing engagements with guests.
Oh, and those drinks and that food were delicious! Guests were raving about the food all night, starting with the mac and cheese station (which proved to be a huge favorite as mason jars were filled to capacity with countless toppings) and ending with freshly flambéed donuts atop ice cream and more toppings.
To close out the night, Melinda and additional team members assisted in getting everyone to the shuttles before then efficiently facilitating our clean-up, quickly packing up our cars and making a stressful process so thankfully straightforward. All in all, Connecticut Wedding Group provided us with top-notch service, making our wedding -- from planning to end product -- a genuine dream come true! Thank you all so much!

Worth every penny!! First of all, this venue is absolutely gorgeous! From the gazebo at the wooded ceremony site to the sparking lake views and magical twinkle lights, everything is breathtaking. But what really makes this venue stand out is the staff! From day one, they were so supportive in helping us plan our big day. Our day was beyond what we ever expected because of the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff, especially our day-of coordinator Allie and her right hand girl Lexi. Not only did we appreciate them so much, but out guests RAVED about the fantastic staff, incredible food, and beautiful site. We cannot recommend The Pavilion on Crystal Lake enough and if we could do it all again we wouldn't change a thing! -

Even with completely unexpected 50 degree weather and pouring rain, we felt nothing but sunshine and love due to the CT Wedding Group’s helpfulness and dedication to making our day completely perfect and our guests completely welcome. Literally, every aspect of our wedding was magical and there was not one moment of stress or uncertainty because our planner had everything 100% under control; she made sure we had anything we needed or wanted, even before we knew we needed or wanted it, from the moment the day began to the last second before we departed. With less than 24 hours notice, they transformed our outdoor wedding into a gorgeous indoor masterpiece, and they were amazing enough to go above and beyond to make sure that every element of the food, drinks, and decor were even better than we could have possibly imagined! We are so blessed, humbled, and awed by their abilities, talents, and graces; to make a day perfect in the face of a pandemic, a cold front, and a thunderstorm all at the same time is certainly deserving of every accolade and compliment we can fathom. Words can't describe
From start to finish CT wedding group and the staff at The Pavilion on Crystal Lake were nothing short of amazing. The entire experience was perfect. As a newly engaged couple you don't know exactly where to start or what to do but when you're in the hands of this staff you don't have to worry about any of that. They walk you through everything! They help to make your dream wedding come true. The day of the wedding, I could honestly say I was the least stressed bride EVER! There was not one thing that I was worried about. Allie was out day of coordinator and she is the absolute best! She made sure to steal us away to receive alone time and stayed on top of us to make sure we got to enjoy our food.. speaking of food..IT WAS INCREDIBLE! I have received so many compliments from family and friends about the cocktail hour, entrees and deserts. I am so glad that we chose this staff to be apart of our day. Dream Team & Venue
Where do I even begin? The Pavilion on Crystal Lake was everything I could have imagined for my wedding and more. The Pavilion on Crystal Lake has many of the obvious attractive qualities. The scenery is beautiful, the pavilion on the lake is picturesque and the reception hall is gorgeous. However, the best thing about this venue is the staff.
My husband and I got married May 29, 2021 and it was the coldest May 29th in record history. Not only that, but it had the potential to start raining at the exact time I was supposed to walk down the aisle. With the help of Samantha and Lexie, I did not for one second worry or stress. They were so calming and kind and they had everything covered second by second so that our ceremony went off with a hitch.
Samantha and Lexie made my husband and I feel like family. There was not one time during the ceremony or reception that we worried about anything other than having the best night of our lives. It was as if Samantha was reading our minds. When we needed a drink, Sam was ready with one. When we needed to eat, Sam made sure we had time to do so. All of our guests could not believe the level of professionalism and service out of the staff.
Lastly, we could not possibly thank Samantha enough for everything she did for the two of us. She was with us from the initial tour when we booked the venue, to packing our cars up at the end of our wedding reception. We couldn't have hand picked anyone better to have with us on our wedding day.
We have several friends that recently got engaged and we would recommend this venue over and over again. It was an amazing night and we could not be more appreciative and grateful that we had it at The Pavilion on Crystal Lake. -

Amazing experience!
We got married at the Pavilion on Crystal Lake in of April 2021. Our experience working with this venue, especially during Covid was nothing but the best. Their food tasting event was fun (and delicious) and allowed us to meet other couples getting married around the same time as us! The whole planning process was smooth and flawless, especially for somebody who is type A and would rather do everything themselves. The wedding weekend was organized and perfect. I knew Allie, our coordinator, had everything under control. I have never been so catered to in my life! She made sure everything was perfect, that we ate everything we wanted to, and that we always had a drink in our hand. She put my decorating vision to life and added her own touch to really make everything look beautiful. I rented the lake house for the day of to get ready with my bridesmaids. If you are looking for a place to get ready, I highly recommend it!! It has the perfect room for hair and makeup, we had food and drinks setup in the kitchen and still had two rooms and the deck to hang out on. It was also perfect for pictures with my girls! I highly recommend the Pavilion on Crystal Lake! -
