    I can't say enough good things about Amy at The Papery in Sea Girt. She was an absolute pleasure to work with! She was extremely professional and patient, and made excellent recommendations every step of the way. We are completely thrilled with the way our invitations turned out and have received tons of compliments on them!

    Amy is FABULOUS!!!! There is no place like The Papery! They are extremely professional and know exactly what to do! They were so helpful and thoughtful with everything!

    I was very pleased with my experience at the Papery. The saleswoman sat down with us for hours and made sure that we were pleased with how things were worded and the fonts we chose. The quality of the product was excellent and their in-house envelope printing matched the invitations' font exactly. My mom even ordered a crystal vase engraved with the invitation on it from the Papery. They accidently engraved the wrong size vase and ended up giving it to her for free. Even though there were some mistakes made- no vendor is perfect and they definitely took the time and effort to correct any mistakes.

    My wedding invitations came out beautiful. They were a bit pricey but the staff at the papery were super helpful!

    The Papery of Sea Girt was very good to work with. They met our dates and the printing of the invitations was high quality. We were very happy with their recommendations on the paper stock and ink color. They also printed Menu cards for us and cocktail napkins, and went the extra mile to meet a tight time frame. I would recommend them.
    The one thing we found a little frustrating was looking through all their binders. We described for them what we had in mind for an invitation, and they asked us to look through their books to find it. There were at least 12 huge binders to look through! After 2 hours and only 5 binders completed, we left. Since we were pressed for time, I did some on-line research and then went back with a picture of the invitation we had in mind. They were able to point us to the 2 binders with the exact invitation we were looking for.

    When the invitations we ordered were delivered with the wrong type of card (we wanted a card without a fold and got one), the manager got right on it and tried her best to remedy the situation. Although we didn't get exactly what we wanted, we were very pleased with the service, selection and accountability of the Papery. I would definitely use them again!

    Our invitations were beautiful (Crane ~ various stocks, papers and linings), but I'd use another shop to order them. Simply put the sales"girls" were snotty! I can blame the location, but I was born and raised in the area too and I'm not nasty.....When I am spending 2K+ on "paper", I'd like a little more courtesy.

    *Review for Wedding Invitations*

    Let me preface first, the Papery is convenient to my home and I've gotten numerous stationary sets here. At the time, I knew no other place I'd want to go for my invites due to my positive past purchases.

    The warning I wish I had:

    Their wedding invitation "design" process is literally you and a retail worker pulling out huge books of invites to look through. My "designer" or retail worker changed THREE TIMES! One time, I showed up for an appointment to finalize my design, and they had no idea I had an appointment nor was the woman even there! My last "designer" quit and told me that they could not change the design's colors TWO WEEKS after I chose it. That was the last straw.

    My mistake is that I trusted them too much and I expected the best service. I should have read the reviews on The Knot too (although they have 4 stars there and many 1 star reviews....). My stress levels at this time were unreal due to this! I was in a time crunch as well after I decided to cut ties. Thankfully, I found a graphic designer invitation studio nearby that could accommodate me.

    After this fiasco, never will I ever step foot in this store again.

    To all the brides out there, Please stay clear The Papery of Shrewsbury,NJ. There was a huge oversight reguarding my wedding invitations, but when I addressed the issue with one of the owners, she accused me of fabricating my story. When a client pays thousands of dollars to have beautiful invitations made, and then pays even more for them to be stuffed, sealed, and mailed one would think they could handle the job. Unfortunately that didn't happen. Not only did several of my guests not receive their pre-posted rsvp card, the groom's father didn't even get the original invitation. They state on their website that they value their customers and strive to have high standards, I simply didn't get that experience, but they did get my money. That is all they care about when its all said and done.

    I went to the Papery in Sea Girt, NJ. I have been a long time customer of the Papery, but service has gone down severely!!! There is no one at the store that works full time that has a design eye - which is very important when you tout that you do custom invites! The process at every step of the way was painful. It started with our engagement invites after about 2 rounds and working with multiple people we finally got something that was okay. I went elsewhere for my save the dates. For the wedding invite we went backing knowing we needed a professional. I picked the invite out of a book right away and didn't really want to change a lot. What I got back in a proof was a disaster. All of the font was the same and the same size. There was nothing styled about it. We ended up working with a new girl Leah (who was a saving grace at the shop) but she only worked part time. After many many revisions we finally got the invite complete. When I tried to go back for a program things went from bad to worse. They told me they could design it in house, so I wrote up a word doc. What they "designed" and gave back to me was worse than the word doc and had mistakes!!! When I went back with things to keep and things to change they only changed the things I said to keep. At one point I had to laugh and say is this a joke?! Then I was told well the designer doesn't have time to do this so I had to use an invite vendor and design the program myself. In the end it worked out but it was stressful at a time when I was already stretched thin. It's a real shame the store has gotten so bad. It used to be our go to invite vendor and now I'll never go back!
