Fantastic Caterer

The Pantry Catering g did a fantastic job with our event. They were very patient and thorough as we worked through all the details and accommodated the various dietary needs with grace and understanding. Most importantly, the food was fantastic! I highly recommend them!

Delicious food and friendly service

My partner and I decided that having a good meal was an important part of our wedding. I read some good things about The Pantry's food online, and they seemed like a good fit for our event, we went with them. Their team and chef worked with us to create a memorable meal that reflected our tastes. The food was amazing! We had a salad with crab and a fried green tomato that I will never forget :) They were also able to adapt the menu to accommodate our vegan and vegetarian guests. We received many compliments about the food from everyone.

The crew that they sent to work the event were wonderful. They were attentive and friendly and really projected a sense that they cared about their work (and our event). They made us more relaxed and our guests feel welcomed.

Our wedding was the first catered event that I have ever planned, and The Pantry was easy to work with and the result was better than I could have imagined. I could not recommend them highly enough.

The Pantry saved our day!

I can wholeheartedly recommend The Pantry for light hors d'oeuvres, desserts and drinks. We had this catering service provided by The Pantry after our morning wedding ceremony. We were locked out of the venue for 30 minutes and everything got started much later than expected. Kristy and her team jumped into action and really helped us out! They had cold drinks ready to go as the first guests arrived, and they even helped the venue set-up chairs on short notice. They went above and beyond their responsibilities for the day. I was very stressed that morning with the venue delay, but the moment I spoke with Kristy, I knew everything was going to be fine. She is a true professional and really understands how to prioritize needs and delegate items to her staff during a moment of minor crisis. The small bites we ordered were great, and the drinks were also excellent and refreshing on a hot day!

Superb Catering Experience for a Wedding

We were married at Baltimore's Rawling's Conservatory with approximately 55 attendees. The Pantry suggested roaming tapas for our event and it helped created a casual, free flowing party. The food and drinks were spectacular. The quality of our menu and ease of working with the entire staff is memorable. In particular, Kristy McKenna, director of events, and Will, a catering crew member that celebrated and became one of our family, really demonstrated the lengths The Pantry will go to be a premier choice for your party needs. We are exceptionally pleased to have them support our wedding.

Such a wonderful experience and delicious food!

We had a really positive experience with The Pantry catering, beginning with our first contact and ending with our wedding night. After talking with several caterers about our cocktail party vision for our New Year's Eve wedding, we were getting a little discouraged. One caterer told us that we should do a buffet dinner with no seating (what?!) and another scoffed at our ideal budget and gave us a minimum budget that was almost double what we were hoping. Then we reached out to The Pantry (we should have known, because our venue said that they're a favorite!) and we were so happy with the responsiveness, flexibility, and creative ideas for our wedding!

We had our tasting, and even though we were requesting a cocktail style wedding, the chef still served us an amazing four course meal with champagne, all free of charge. It felt like we were old friends as we ate and discussed ideas. They were happy to work with our budget and gave us ideas on how to best reduce costs.

In the coming months, there was a turnover with the person at The Pantry who was managing our wedding, but the transition was seamless. We had several meetings with Amanda and I felt completely at ease in her hands. The wedding day went off without a hitch, our rentals were gorgeous, service was amazing, and everyone was raving about the food.

We knew from the start that we would be happy with choosing The Pantry and we are so pleased that we chose them for our wedding. We can't recommend them highly enough!!

The best decision of the wedding!

All along, one of the main things we wanted our wedding to be was a celebration with great food and drink. If that’s what you’re looking for, book The Pantry as soon as possible. Our catering search was a comedy of errors, including double bookings of appointments, missed calls, laughably expensive quotes, and one caterer that invited us into their kitchen for a tasting that blew our socks off.

Daniel and his team were welcoming, personable, and served absolutely incredible food. You’d expect the staff to be used to certain dishes and get a bit tired of the same courses. But when one of his workers heard what he was making, she whipped around in her chair, exclaimed “He’s MAKING the Caribbean PORK!?!?!?! THAT MEANS WE GET LEFTOVERS!!!!!” And that should kind of tell you exactly what you’re getting yourself into. We left the tasting and sat in the car for ten minutes debating if we should book without trying other caterers (again, given the experience we had, this was a legitimate question).

Expect a personalized menu (we had the aforementioned Caribbean pork, chicken tacos, and the bistro filet) with all the necessary sides at exactly the same high caliber of cooking. The steak was perfectly done, and even the groom’s normally picky Texan brother commented that it was the first time he’d had steak at a wedding that wasn’t overcooked. Everyone else present continually complimented the food throughout the evening.

There were some slight hiccups along the way; namely the coordinator we’d been working with since booking suddenly changed… which we didn’t know until our walkthrough with the venue when someone we’d never met walked in. Things went smoothly from that point, but it still added a slightly stressful wrinkle two weeks before the wedding.

5/5, one of the most important parts of our reception was absolutely perfect and exceeded everyone’s expectations.

The Pantry Catering catered my daughters wedding this past weekend at The American Visionary Arts Museum. They did an absolutely fabulous job and the food and service was perfect. More importantly they were so great to work with - we met with them many times during the year before and they handled all of our requests. They were so accommodating throughout and especially the days leading up to the wedding. We loved seeing the same faces at our wedding that worked with us throughout the planning. Daniel, Jamie and staff we cannot thank you enough for everything you did to make Nikki and Ryan's wedding perfect.

I cannot recommend The Pantry enough. They worked with us to create a menu to accommodate food allergies and sensitivities, the food was beyond fantastic, and the service was flawless. Chef Daniel and Director of events Jamie are some of the nicest and easiest people to deal with. I am a teacher and did a lot of research before selecting them. They exceeded my expectations. Thank you for being such an important part of my wedding!

The pantry was our top choice and they didn't disappoint! The food was out of this world and our guest are still talking about it! They were very accommodating to our guest with dietary restriction/needs. Our kosher keeping guest we're extremely impressed with the meal provided to them saying it was way beyond what they expected and that it was 'hot and very delicious!'
Jamie was great and kept communications flowing smoothly, she also helped keep things on track day of. We would recommend these guys hands down to our friends who don't just want a good caterering crew but want a great one!

What can I say... hands down The Pantry Catering was amazing!!!! MaryAnne, Jamie and Chef truly took care of us from our initial quote, to the tasting, to the day of. Our guests are still raving about the food, he mini burgers were delicious, crab cakes were divine, and the braised short rib was a winner!!!! Service and set up the day of our event was awesome!!!!!! The bartender never let mine or my husbands glass be empty, the service staff was stellar, constantly check in on my husband and myself to make sure we had what we needed. They even made delicious to go boxes for us to share later that evening. Thank you the Pantry for everything!!!!

Book the Pantry for delicious food, trained wait staff and a very professional catering staff. Chef Dan is creative and still "down home" with his cooking - they put together a gorgeous stations wedding dinner for us featuring pad thai with asian style salad, grilled chicken with red beans and rice and plantains, sautéed rockfish with summer salsa... all really really darn good. The highlight though was the most amazing staff member that approached me and my husband with a plate of appetizers right after we were married saying, "Congratulations! I'm going to take care of you tonight. What can I get you to drink?" and proceeded to find us throughout dinner with little plates of food from all of the stations. It would have been a shame not to get to taste that fantastic dinner at our own wedding and we didn't miss a bit! Thank you, team Pantry.

The service and staff were great! I couldn't tell you how much fun it was having everyone at The Pantry help us plan our wedding. We felt at home the minute we sat down in The Pantry's kitchen. Dan couldn't have been a nicer, more genuine person to work with (and talk to). Not only is he the owner, but he's the chef, and he's one of the more knowledgeable catering minds we met throughout our wedding process. In addition to his experience in the business, his cooking skills are phenomenal. Everything Dan cooks is hand made, and that's obvious when you taste his food. He even made the simple syrups for our His/Her drinks. On the planning side of things, we had a unique experience in which there were some personnel changes being made a few months before our wedding. Some people would panic, but Dan handled the situation by calling us directly and giving us the utmost confidence in his decisions. As for the actual event, the appetizers at cocktail hour were absolutely amazing, and the dinners were perfect. Our guests raved about the bartenders and servers as well. It was a group of genuinely nice people. If we could do it again, we would pick The Pantry 10 times over.

Working with The Pantry was amazing. We had spent a fair amount of time trying to find the right fit for a caterer--we wanted to incorporate some of my husband's Greek heritage in the menu design, and still stick with stations for serving different types of food. The tasting with Daniel, Paul, and Keara had us sold immediately. The food, the appreciation of food, and the ideas they brought to the table for putting together a perfect menu was unmatched. Working with everyone was a breeze, prompt responses, reminders, and tons of helpful suggestions made everything come together effortlessly. We had a cake from their cake person (I already forget her name) along with a variety of Greek desserts that they prepared and Pennsylvania Dutch desserts that my family provided. My husband also brews beer, and we included this as well with using their bar service. All of this planning was evident on our wedding day, and the guests loved the food. Keara was perfect to have along side us on the day of, incredibly professional and organized, and made everything go smoothly. She made sure that we were fed throughout the night!

I would love to go back and eat our wedding food all over again, and how many weddings can you honestly say that about?

I chose the Pantry Catering as the caterers for my company's holiday party this year and they were a hit with everyone that attended. I have never heard so many people rave about food, but everyone said the food was amazing and that it was the best holiday party we have ever had and it is all with thanks to The Pantry. In addition to amazing food, they made the entire planning process super easy for me. I just picked the theme and venue and they went with it, making our masquerade ball come to life. They really made our venue beautiful and provided excellent service. If you need a catering company for your next office event, choose the Pantry! Paul and his staff provided excellent service paying attention to every detail. The food was delicious, presented beautifully and all our guests raved about how good everything was. All the staff was professional, friendly, and had everything totally under control. Keara, YOU ARE AMAZING!!!!!! Chef Daniel, YOU ARE AMAZING!!!! I can't even begin to tell you how many people have come up to me and told me that this was the best wedding food they have ever had. Keara was my rock during the planning process and was always available to answer ever single question I had. Chef Daniel was flexible with my feedback on the menu and they were so accommodating to all the food allergies and food dislikes in the group. We were also able to provide our own alcohol which not only helped our budget but fit in with other plans we had for the weekend. The staff was so attentive and always made sure that my groom and I had a drink in our hand and food to eat. We decided to go without a cake and instead have pies available to our guests. I will tell you what, those pies were so delicious. So much better than any wedding cake I ever had. This whole wedding experience was so much fun and so easy because of Keara and the team at The Pantry! Thank you so much for giving me the night of a lifetime!

The Pantry was wonderful to work with! Their chef was very open to our ideas for the menu. In fact, they used goose meat and recipe that we provided to make an hors d'hourves. Their event manager was very responsive to all of our questions throughout the time of planning our wedding and was very timely with reminders of what needed to be done when. This really helped with keeping on top of overall event planning.

The cake company they subcontract with created a pumpkin spice cake that had leaves, acorns, and pumpkins on the top that surrounded the cake,topper we provided. Very creative! The wait staff was very attentive to my husband and I during the event as well as our 95 year old grandmothers. Cannot say enough good things about this catering company. The Pantry exceeded our expectations!

I don't know where to begin -- The Pantry was AMAZING from our very first e-mail communications to the wedding catering and follow-up!

They responded promptly to my initial inquiry, scheduled our first meeting and were flexible around my schedule since I live in Boston but was planning a Baltimore wedding, and had an adorable sign out front welcoming us on the day of our visit. They were also the ONLY caterer we interviewed who fed us samples of their proposed menu items at the initial meeting, and all of the food was delicious!! It made it a lot easier for us to pick our reception menu since we got to try a lot of the options first.

Keara and Paul were both very responsive to e-mail inquiries and setting up additional meetings as needed before the wedding. Keara was our event lead, and I have been singing her praises nonstop -- she has incredible attention to detail, helped me make decisions about the seating chart and other logistics, and even remembered that I was interested in a gold sequin tablecloth for the sweetheart table and reached out as soon as one came into their inventory. Day-of, the staff was so pleasant and professional, they kept a separate plate with all of the appetizers for my husband and I so we could have one of each (everyone told me we wouldn't have time to eat and I didn't want to miss out!), the food was AMAZING of course, and Keara was so attentive.

I would recommend The Pantry to anyone, for any event, with zero reservations. They are wonderful.

We used The Pantry to cater our wedding at Corradetti Glass Studio, and they were an absolute pleasure to work with. We went in for a private tasting to meet Paul and sample the food, and it was a really great first impression. The food was delicious and the chef let us sample multiple appetizers, main dishes, and desserts. My only recommendation would be to try the food that you intend to put on the menu at the tasting because we ordered slow roasted pork (which we had not sampled) and it didn't turn out exactly as we had expected. Overall, Paul was extremely accommodating to any changes we had including menu substitutions and last minute timeline changes due to rain. He even threw in extra labor free of charge when rain changed our event timeline. Everyone that attended our wedding commented that they really enjoyed the food, and especially liked the assortment of parfaits that we got for dessert. The staff that worked at the wedding were extremely professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend The Pantry.

we couldn't speak more highly of Paul and the team at Pantry Catering. From the start of the planning process, they were quick to respond and stayed on track of timelines until the day of our wedding. Paul is very professional and kept us on track the day of the wedding. The food was incredible and we got so many compliments from our guests, as the portion size was just right and the meat was perfectly cooked. While Pantry was not the cheapest option we had available to us for catering (and certainly wasn't the most pricey either), the quality of food and service made spending a little bit more money completely worth it. All of the servers and bartenders were attentive, friendly, and had fun with the guests! Working with Pantry made our special day flow without a hitch, and we would recommend their catering services to anyone without reservation.

My husband and I met with the Pantry before meeting any other caterers and knew we wanted them to cater our wedding. The food was delicious, they used high-quality ingredients (and local ingredients as much as possible, which was important to me) and the chef, Dan, clearly has a passion for cooking. We worked with Keara, who was professional, nice, and easy to work with. If we had questions, we could send them to her and know that we wouldn't be waiting too long for an answer. She even helped us sort through a few general wedding planning issues that came up. On the wedding day, they were organized and kept the whole event running smoothly. We also used their suggested baker, Ellie's cakes, and loved the final product. It wasn't just pretty, it was delicious! We were so happy with the Pantry, I can't recommend them enough!!!

From the first (very quick!) response to our initial request for information to packing up the last box at the end of the wedding, Paul and his team were outstanding! We never worried once during the planning process, once we chose The Pantry we knew that everything would be perfect. Our guests raved about the food and kept talking about which items were their favorites days after the wedding. The staff at The Pantry were a pleasure to work with for my daughter's wedding. They were accommodating, flexible, and very professional. Their food was amazing! From the first meeting with Paul and Dan, I knew they were the right caterer for us. I went to them with a vision for the day and for the food. Seeing it come alive at our wedding was a dream come true. From the meetings and countless random questions Paul was responsive, personable and professional. He had great suggestions and I knew we were always on the same page. My husband and I both worked for 4 years in catering back in college and being on that side of things, we had expectations of what we did and did not want. All of our expectations were surpassed and the staff was amazing. We had a great personal staff member that evening who kept us fed and glasses full with out being obtrusive. She was polite as was any staff member we talked to that night. They all truly cared about great service. Keara was on top of running the evening smoothly and in unison with the timeline, band, etc... Paul and Keara both listened to my details, even the ones I managed to forget about, and everything was set up beautifully. I could go on...

With having said all that if you are not already convinced, just stop by for a tasting of Dan's food. His passion and talent is clear and when I discussed the menu ideas for the evening he helped bring it all together with seasonal local ingredients. My husband and I love going out to eat and have dined at some of the best restaurants in many areas. The hors d'oeuvres and entrees The Pantry prepared were top restaurant quality, not 'banquet food'. We also used Ellie's Cakes, their preferred baker for the cake and it was delicious, one of the best buttercreams I've ever had. Everyone loved the food and the tasting was probably my favorite part of the wedding planning process!

We had a great experience with The Pantry! We knew from the delicious food, the personalized attention, and the down-to-earth personalities of Paul and Dan at our tasting that they were the right caterer for us, and they did not disappoint. We were able to personalize our menu while still staying within our budget. They were extremely responsive throughout the planning process, and Paul was very helpful in talking through options, making suggestions, and being flexible. He made it so easy for us!

The day of the wedding, everything was impeccable. Everything was set up beautifully, and the food was incredible. While all the servers were attentive, efficient, and professional, we particularly appreciated our personal server, who went above and beyond, from making sure we got to try all of the hors d'oeurves to getting us cold drinks when ours had been sitting on the table. The staff even packed us leftovers! I really can't recommend The Pantry highly enough for great food and excellent service at a great value.

It has been two weeks and our wedding guests are still raving about Chef Daniel's cuisine! The Pantry Catering, by far, was the wisest choice in selecting one of the many vendors for our daughters wedding. Our tasting date in their gourmet kitchen sealed the decision. We watched in amazement as fresh ingredients became the chosen selections. Chef openly created a designed menu for the Bride and Groom, fusing a Southern fare with a Baltimore vibe. Chef was open to making country biscuits with honey butter and Hoppin' John to accompany their grilled fish and famous BBQ rib entrees. The food was served hot to temperature , precisely on time and with perfect presentation. And let us not forget, salads were chilled, crisp and fresh with summer watermelon. From designing the menu to swallowing that last bite (all were returned to the clean plate club), Chef Daniel Horwitz was beyond our foodie dreams!

From the moment I talked to Paul on the phone I knew I wanted to work with him for our wedding. My fiancé wanted to use the same caterer as his sister but I wasn't impressed with them. I explained the situation to Paul and he asked me and my fiancé to come down and meet him. In our meeting, Chef Dan prepared an assortment of horderves, two different main courses and delicious desserts! Both Paul and Chef Dan were down to earth and extremely personable. As soon as we left the meeting my fiancé said "we are going with them!" Throughout the process of planning the wedding Paul was organized, very prompt with responses and honest. On the day of our wedding, Paul and his staff impressed me even more. Our guests are still raving about our horderves and the cold corn soup that was one of our first courses (I highly recommend it if you get married when corn is in season). The wait staff was professional and so on top of everything. One of my guests told me that she really wanted a slider and was talking about how she didn't get one and a server went and got one and found her in the crowd to make sure she got it. Our personal server, Callahan, was helpful and so sweet- she was constantly bringing us food and drinks and made sure we had everything we needed. I can not say enough good things about them other than I HIGHLY recommend the Pantry Catering! I may be married now but I will figure out a way to work with the Pantry again!

The Pantry was beyond exceptional. And this comment extends from our first taste testing to the months of communication and planning to the days final event. Right up until the final ceremony hour, an email was never not responded to within 5 minutes. Suggestions and answers were thoughtful and supportive. And managing our requests were always welcome with a positive attitude. Our actual day of the wedding was fearless (for the Bride and the MOB!). We knew we had chosen the right people! We were greeted upon our reception with the icy cold signature drink, clearly made to perfection by the bartender. Paul and Keara's presence was apparent and yet hidden from guest socialization. The food by Chef Daniel was INCREDIBLE. Hot, timely served and A plus ranting reviews. But honestly, the service won us over. Prompt, professional and engaging. Wine was served immediately upon sit down and then refreshed without asking. Dinner was served in a blink. Table clearings were crisp and clean. The attention never stopped until the cars were packed (including ours!) and the venue was spotless. You know you picked the right catering folks when guests talk more about the food and service than the brides dress! Bravo Pantry, you made our day so special for Dan and Emily. This is by far the best catering company ever!!! The entire planning process was a breeze thanks to Paul, Keara, Chef Daniel and crew! From the first meeting/taste testing to the actual wedding, there were zero hiccups or snags. They easily tailored a fantastic menu that was not only within our budget but extremely delicious, something that is not always done with other companies. Our guests could stop raving about the food and the staff were sociable and attentive. I give this company 10 stars! I plan on telling everyone I know about this company in hopes that I get to attend another event where they cater!!

The Pantry deserves a 5.0/5.0 stars without a doubt. From the minute we stepped into the office at The Pantry, we felt right at home with Paul, Keara, and Daniel. They clearly wanted to hear more about us and help give us a quote that was both obtainable and everything we had dreamed of. We had a great time brainstorming special menu items (and signature cocktails) for our event, and really saw a lot of value comparing our quote from the Pantry to other caterers in the area. When it came time for our event, we couldn't have been happier. Paul said hi to me while i was waiting for my procession into the ceremony, and it felt like touching base with a close family member or friend before going off to get married. Once we said I do, not only were our guests well accommodated with drinks and appetizers, but so were the entire bridal party as we took pictures. The staff member that cared specifically for bride and groom all night was truly a professional -- she was attentive, kind, and clearly enjoyed her job, and went above and beyond to accommodate special requests. Our guests raved about their food, and the staff served everyone promptly according to escort card entree choices. I would choose the Pantry again and again!

The Pantry was fun and easy to work with from day 1. We worked directly with Paul and Keara-they were awesome! Before the event my questions were always answered immediately. At the event, the food was amazing, and many guests told us it was the best wedding food they had ever had. Everything was delicious! We had an outdoor wedding that fell on a day with record rainfall. The entire Pantry staff got soaked, but didn't complain for a second and did all the trouble-shooting necessary to have a perfect wedding despite the weather. The event went off without any problems, and everything turned out perfectly! They work so hard, yet are so pleasant and nice to be around. They were awesome!

If I could give The Pantry more than 5 stars, I would. Keara and Paul were brilliantly friendly, helpful, and organized throughout the planning process, and Daniel's culinary creations were divine. Every single one of the people who worked on the day of our wedding also deserves special thanks. The service was impeccable, the food excellent, and the layout and decor absolutely spot on! Many of our guests commented enthusiastically about the excellent service and food. A massive thunderstorm arriving as our outdoor ceremony was set to begin was no problem for these superstars; they had everyone relocated and ready in no time. I cannot begin to express my gratitude for The Pantry. Paul, Keara, Daniel and the whole team were absolutely outstanding. From the first meeting, we were blown away. They really wanted to get to know us and understand what we envisioned for our wedding day. Paul and Keara are a fantastic team and Chef Daniel’s food was delicious! We received many compliments on the food and service from our guests. We are so happy we decided to work with The Pantry for our wedding. They did the most magnificent job. Paul and Keara cared so much about making our wedding the best it could be for my husband and me. They are professional and easy to work with. They were patient with my million questions. They were always accessible via e-mail, text, or phone. Their response time was SO fast. We were in great hands. Paul was present throughout the planning process but had a family wedding on our actual wedding day. While we personally missed seeing Paul at the wedding Keara truly knocked it out of the park. I was moved to tears when I saw our reception space for the first time and I know Keara had a big hand in making it look so beautiful. She has an amazing work ethic, can do attitude, and is one of the sweetest most genuine people I have ever met. Keara – thank you so much for making our wedding day so perfect. We are so pleased that we selected The Pantry Catering as the caterer for my daughter’s recent wedding. In addition to preparing the food, The Pantry Catering handled all the table / chair and linen rentals. The menu ideas were creative and the food was delicious. Because of events in our city, we needed to change the timing of our event to begin serving two hours earlier than originally scheduled and The Pantry Catering was able to make this happen with only three days’ notice. They didn’t miss a beat. Paul Kountz is a real professional and his staff was courteous and welcoming to everyone. They graciously gave us the leftovers which we definitely enjoyed. We look forward to hosting another party to we can taste their yummy food again!

Paul and the rest of the employees at the Pantry were fabulous! We received so many compliments from our guests on the food and service. We worked with Paul personally in advance for a tasting, to iron out seating, and last minute preparations. His team helped prepare the room, and it looked beautiful, more than I could ever have imagined. He was extremely easy to work with, patient with us, and very flexible. If you are passionate about delicious food and great service, book The Pantry for your wedding! It's rare to go to a wedding where guests gush about the food, but so many of our guests couldn't stop talking about how much they loved what they ate. All of the staff worked so hard to make sure we had excellent food and drink and that our many, many reception details were carried out seamlessly. From start to finish, The Pantry was a breeze to work with - they helped us plan a well-rounded, delicious menu; connected us to many of our other vendors; assisted us with decor; planned a very organized timeline for the day; and executed our vision for the look and feel of our reception perfectly. Our experience with The Pantry was stellar from the start. After a quick response to our inquiry, we planned a tasting with owner Paul Kountz and Executive Chef Daniel Horwitz. I have celiac disease and am sensitive to any gluten exposure, so I'd planned on my fiance being our taster. But when I mentioned it to them that day, it was "No problem!" We arrived to an open parking space, a sign with our names, and a personal greeting. It only got better, from the incredible food to their warm approach. We talked details like linen/chair rentals (huge selection, no upsell, just good advice) and how they would work with us. We knew they were “the one.” As the team, including Event Coordinator Keara Mahan (a true gem) prepared our contract, menu options, and other docs, they were flexible and accommodating. When we returned a few weeks before the wedding, we had the pleasure of meeting Keara in person. "Event Coordinator" doesn't quite cover her capabilities. She helped with final selections, timelines, floor plans, etc. As the day drew close, she responded immediately to last-minute questions with reassurance and humor. Day of: the ENTIRE team was amazing. Friends bringing items to the venue reported setup was quick and smooth and the space looked gorgeous (The Pantry set up centerpieces etc). So as we got ready at a nearby hotel, I got *calmer.* Once my feet returned to the ground after the ceremony, I saw how seamlessly they transformed the space from ceremony to cocktails to seated (served) buffet dinner. Keara prepared a plate of hors d'oeuvres for us, another for my 10 y/o son, and yet another for my vegetarian stepson. Later, she ensured my husband and I had full plates. I joked that she must have a clone, because she was everywhere. Entire team: supreme pros, yet so friendly our guests were taking selfies with them (and raving that it was the BEST WEDDING FOOD EVER)! Bottom line: wish we could give more than 5 stars, because every moment was a perfect 10.

The Pantry did an amazing job catering our wedding. We can’t say enough. We got married 3 weeks ago and people are still talking about the food. Paul is prompt, creative, organized and delivers on every detail he promises. We requested a unique center stage setup for our ceremony, which truthfully was a challenge for the number of guests and our venue. Paul did the research to make sure that all of our guests would fit which included him visiting the venue, measuring and putting a floor plan together himself. He also developed a helpful timeline for the evening’s events and on the wedding day, his staff made sure that a beautiful cocktail hour, dinner and reception were set up and that the run of show took place seamlessly. They also worked very well and in collaboration with the rest of our vendors, some of which they took the initiative of getting in touch with prior to the event.
Oh, and the food! From the beginning, Chef Daniel was not only willing, but excited to help build a menu that captured my love of soul and comfort food and my husband’s Haitian roots. They allowed us to have two tastings, one with the two of us and another where our parents could even join. The jerk chicken and steak were both incredibly tender and the food was more than great wedding food, it was a great dinner, period. Our guests confirmed that the bartenders were friendly and great as well. What attracted us to the Pantry was their dedication to providing quality food and drink with top notch service, but in a personal and non-stuffy way. Paul and his team genuinely cared about us and our wedding and each meeting began and ended with a hug.
And as for budget, The Pantry was by far, the most affordable on the list provided by our venue. The Pantry also seemed to give us the best bang for our buck. Paul, Keara and the team were great!! They worked with our *relatively* small detail changes, and exceeded our expectations. The food was great, and the drinks even better. (shout out to the bartender for getting even the non-dancers out on the dance floor). It really just felt like we threw a big party with 57 of our closest friends. We ate good (they brought us apps outside during cocktail hour, to make sure we ate), drank tasty drinks, and danced the rest of the night to the best music. We still have family members asking when we're going to through another wedding! Ha! Just awesome! Their services aren't cheap (and who really wants cheap wedding food anyway? lol), but it's soooo worth it.

Everyone absolutely raved about the food! In addition, Paul and Keara were extremely helpful and quick to respond to questions and concerns, and Paul really helped pick up the slack of a couple other vendors that we used. I highly recommend The Pantry!!

From the very beginning Chef Dan impressed us with his culinary passion and professionalism. Chef Dan's business partner Paul was phenomenal- compassionate and efficient. The Pantry exceeded our expectations from the first tasting of hors-de-ouvres at the Cloisters open house to our wedding day. Keara was fantastic on the big day- keeping us on schedule and even bringing us refreshments from the bar and appetizers while we took formal pictures. The staff made sure we had everything we needed and our guests raved about our food! We are so glad we selected the Pantry as our caterer- IT WAS DEFINITELY THE RIGHT CHOICE!

Everything was beautiful and more importantly, fabulous tasting! I am sitting here having left over shrimp and grits for breakfast. Yummy! Everyone was raving about the food. We were fortunate to have the Pantry as the caterer for our daughter's recent wedding -- everything surpassed all of our expectations! We were having an outdoor wedding at our home and knew that the Pantry had done a wonderful job with a similar wedding in our area. The process couldn't have been easier; Paul and Dan helped the bride and groom select a menu that was personal to them, seasonally fresh, and pleasing to all of our guests (they are still talking about how good the food was!). The staff was very friendly and professional, and made the evening very relaxing for all of us -- they anticipated our every need! The Pantry helped to create a truly unique and memorable wedding day! We highly recommend them for any event and look forward to having the opportunity to work with them again.

I can't imagine anyone else handling this event as well as Paul and his staff did. The food was amazing, the service impeccable, and their guidance, direction and support made for a seamless event that my guess just can't stop talking about! We first met Paul Kountz and Chef Dan at an Open House at The Cloisters Castle. After trying several different samples from caterers, we decided that The Pantry was the perfect caterer not only for their amazing food, but also because their personalities were fantastic and it was clear that they cared about the quality of food presented.

We met with Paul and Chef Dan over a year before our wedding. During the initial meeting, we were provided a delicious tasting. Paul also broke down information we needed to provide ranging from any dietary restrictions to budget requirements. We knew we had to have The Pantry cater our wedding after such a great meeting.

We then met again a few months later to go over the contract and possible food selections. Since we were over a year out, we were glad to have a loose structure in place.

Then it came down to a few months before the wedding! We managed to make our food selections, pick our linens, get down to a final guest count and have a rough timeline of the day of. All of the service Paul and Keara provided from the business end was fantastic. They made everything easy to understand and I was confident the day was going to be perfect.

And it was - on the day of, people raved about the food. I was impressed as well, it was delicious! The staff was attentive and very helpful, especially Keara. She kept us on our timeline and made sure we (the bride & groom) were cared for.

I would highly recommend The Pantry to anyone who is getting married as they are professional, provide an amazing service and the food is just DELICIOUS!

This was a rehearsal dinner for 70 people. Everything was perfect, the set up, the staff and the food was really, really perfect!! A Cuban entrée and a Maryland entrée done to perfection.

The Pantry did us proud! Paul and company delivered an exceptional combination of fantastic food, spot on logistics and truly great customer service. Our guests are still raving about the wonderful food and we are so grateful for all the support, guidance and personal attention the Pantry staff were able to supply. The Pantry Catering provided the food for my daughter's recent wedding. I could not have been more pleased with their service, their cooperation, and most of all the food! The menu they offered reflected the couple's taste, was plentiful, and delicious. The event was a cocktail style reception, and Paul promised that no one would go home hungry, and he was certainly correct! I would recommend The Pantry very highly.

The Pantry catered our wedding and they were fantastic to work with. Professional, efficient, and the food was beyond good. The Pantry is the perfect caterer for the couple who doesn’t want a lot of fuss, constant references to your “special day,” or a wedding more frilly than the couple wants or needs. This is not to say that it was minimal or underwhelming. Instead, it’s a sign that they listen to their clients and help them plan the wedding they want. Having not planned a wedding before, we wanted to work with people who would be honest and straight forward about what would work and what wouldn’t work, and in Paul and Keara we got exactly what we wanted. (Trust me; you want to work with a caterer who will say no. You want a caterer who has the experience you don’t and will know when something won’t work.) Details the two of us could spend an hour discussing with no decision in sight were easily settled in five minutes with Keara and Paul. On our wedding day, the Pantry's staff was fantastic--they were organized, efficient, and friendly. The servers were professional and a pleasure to interact with. The set up was exactly what we wanted. Keara managed the timing of our event perfectly, and we couldn't be happier with how it went. About the food: This is far above your average wedding food and for a cost that was among the lowest quotes we received. We will dream of the strawberry soup and crab cakes (and the sliders, and the shrimp, and the pot pie, and the mashed potatoes...) for a long time. We went to several tastings, and thought we'd never find a caterer who would produce the food we wanted on our budget. If you’re in the same boat, look no further: Call The Pantry. (And expect a quick response - I never once waited for an email or phone call from them.) And as a side note: if you’re concerned with the issue of finding a vendor who is friendly to same-sex couples, The Pantry absolutely is. We were completely comfortable with them, and it was never an issue.

They exceeded all our expectations. The food was wonderful and their staff was great. Our venue required that we clean up immediately following our reception, and the staff volunteered to stay and help. The whole experience from start to finish was great.

I would recommend The Pantry to anybody who needs a wedding caterer. They were extremely flexible with the menu and tailored much of it to our individual needs and desires. We had a lot of quirky things that we wanted to do, and The Pantry staff was able to accomplish everything we wanted while still producing high quantities of delicious food. Highly recommend short ribs and mashed potatoes! The staff was extremely friendly and courteous throughout the wedding, as well.

The Pantry was absolutely awesome! Complete top notch service and were so accommodating to our menu request. Literally everything my wife and I envisioned for our wedding they made happen. Positively delicious and extremely helpful! At one point, as my gown was being bustled, I even had my own personal helper stand in front of me with a plate of apps so I could get a little snack!!! Every staff member gave us congratulatory wishes and we're very pleasant! Furthermore, they were absolutely accommodating...setting out our place cards, candles in a certain pattern to decorate the tables, easily accessible by email (my preferred method of communication when organizing so many things), even having the tables/chairs delivered to their building (possible because of our smaller sized wedding) to prevent us from paying a delivery fee of over $300!

Worked with us to create a personalized menu that fit our tastes and venue. Allowed us to provide our own venison for them to prepare and serve. One owner personally served us our own plates and drinks and constantly checked in with us to make sure everything was going well, but in a very appropriate manner without interrupting any conversations. The staff was extremely professional and very friendly. The food was beyond outstanding, some of the best food we have ever had. We received nothing but positive feedback from our guests throughout the evening about the staff, food, and bar service. The owner/chef personally shoveled ice and snow off of the walkway for the safety of the elderly guests without anyone asking him to. It was a complete joy to work with The Pantry and we would definitely use them again and again.

We had 250 people at this evening formal event. We used our home and large heated tents in the lawn. The event flowed well and was flawless. The food was both delectable and displayed well . Service was friendly, responsive and knowledgeable. Very pleased !

The Pantry was Amazing throughout the entire process from start to finish. All of the staff was very friendly on the day and were on top of their game. The day of manager / coordinator for our wedding was Keara, and she was wonderful. The food is awesome, and Dan and Paul are passionate about it. The food was delicious, delicious, delicious. From the very beginning of wedding planning, my husband and I had two priorities, get married and eat well. Thanks to The Pantry we succeeded. From the first time we sampled their food, my husband couldn't stop talking about them. We tried some other companies, and while good, they just couldn't quite measure up. The Pantry was at the highest end of our budget, but still within and affordable. They were worth every penny! Paul and Daniel were wonderful to work with. They made suggestions, without being pushy, and always took our ideas first. They were happy to let us order the wine and beer ourselves, and recommended an excellent liquor store to shop through (in fact that store has two new regulars who are huge beer snobs). On our wedding day the staff was excellent and attentive. They paid special attention to myself and my husband, making sure we got to try all of the delicious food we'd so been looking forward to. I would recommend The Pantry to anyone planning an event, especially if I'm invited!

The Pantry made our wedding fabulous. Not only was the food phenomenal (everybody said it was the best they had at a wedding) but they were a huge emotional comfort to me. Paul made sure I ate :) and gave us food to take home because Lord knows I was too excited to savor it. We are incredible thankful to you both and your team for making our day perfection. Wow. We really loved having the Pantry cater our wedding. First of all, the food is absolutely amazing. Everyone really seemed to enjoy it, as indicated by the fact we ran out of appetizers VERY quickly. We did a buffet which worked pretty well. Took a little while for everyone to get food (can’t fault Pantry for this) but the food seemed to stay warm throughout. The service was equally excellent. Paul was very helpful and responsive the week before our wedding helping us to plan and deal with issues as they came up. On the day of, everything was set up perfectly and the staff was super friendly. Our serving captain, Keara, was amazing. She always made sure that we were taken care of and whenever we asked her to do something she organized the staff quickly and efficiently. While Pantry may have been pricier than some of the other places we looked at, they were well worth the extra expense. If we had to plan a wedding again, we would not hesitate to use the Pantry.

We used The Pantry for a festive brunch immediately following our morning wedding. The brunch was held at a neighbor's home. The staff did a terrific job using the flow of the house to allow for food preparation in a garage on the lower floor to maximize the upstairs space for reception and sitting. Everyone commented on the quality of the food. The staff were incredible in terms of responding quickly and efficiently a couple of times (someone dropped a plate of food, etc).

We found The Pantry to be very knowledgeable and they were very willing to accomidate all of our requests. They prepared a tasting for us that was complete with appetizers, main dishes and desserts. It was a very enjoyable afternoon. Paul and his staff were very professional and followed through on all the tasks we requested of them. The reception evening was handled very professionally, the food was delicious and we had a fun time interacting with the Pantry staff. We would highly recommend The Pantry for any party need.

The Pantry did a fabulous job from our initial meetings and tastings in their kitchen through the wedding reception itself which was flawless. Each person we encountered was enthusiastic and interested in our ideas. Paul was always available for consultation, responding to our inquiries quickly and thoroughly. On the day of the wedding, the Pantry's team of about 14 staff members worked tirelessly to see that every detail was perfect. They helped us to feel totally relaxed about the way things came together, and we were amazed at how quickly they transformed the venue into a beautiful setting for our guests. The food was spectacular, fresh and delicious. Our guests were totally delighted, and the bride and groom were given the gift of a memorable wedding day. Look no further - the Pantry is the best!

Choosing Paul and Chef Daniel of The Pantry to cater our garden wedding added sophistication to our fun summer menu at The Cloisters Castle. Two weeks have past and my husband and I are still hearing raves from our guests for the international tour of outdoor foods that made up our wedding menu. From bacon-wrapped shrimp to Argentine chimichuri, from mixed paella to herb-roasted pork tenderloin to homemade buttermilk biscuits, The Pantry's talented team whipped up the best outdoor feast that one could hope for. Equal to the delicious menu was the staffs' exceptional and personal service. We never had to ask for anything. All needs were anticipated and met during the entire day. They were golden. If you choose to work with the Pantry then you will get high quality service and a professional, responsive team that will make you feel even more special on your big day.

Most amazing food ever! Paul and Daniel were amazing with all their help and guidance throughout the wedding planning. The day of prep and service was the best I've ever seen and they made our day perfect! We wish we could do it again just to enjoy them again.

The food was amazing. Paul and his team were so nice and responsive. Very professional. They put together a really great schedule of events for me. They really helped to make me feel better about the whole event. We were unable to taste the horderves because we were so busy. After the wedding we realized Paul had put together a sampling of our horderves so we did get to taste them in the end :) I can't rave enough about my experience with them.
