The Palafox House Reviews

The Palafox House was the very first thing we booked when we were planning. The exposed brick, black columns, romantic lighting - everything was beautiful. The coordinators were also extremely helpful, going the extra mile to meet us after work hours to walk the venue and discuss seating arrangements.

The Palafox House will forever be in our hearts and be a cherished building when we drive past it as it was our reception site. The staff was always very responsive, prompt to let me get in there as I needed to get my planner, florist and other vendors in there several times before the big day. It is such a historic and quaint building with so many natural features. Perfect for what we needed. I recommend this spot for any couple wanting a historical downtown Pensacola venue.

We loved this venue for our wedding and reception. It was beautiful, had great lighting and bathrooms, a kitchen and nice bar and conveniently located downtown. I cannot say enough good about Lexi! She made everything so much easier, answered my many questions promptly and was an absolute pleasure to work with. I highly recommend this venue (and Lexi).

This venue was absolutely beautiful and everything we needed. I loved every moment of our wedding. They were extremely helpful. They let us view the venue multiple times before hand. They allowed us in a little early. We had a small wedding with only 40 people, and this venue was the perfect size. We had our ceremony and our reception here.

It was more then I dreamt of! It was absolutely perfect and the venue fit our Halloween/goth vibes! The ladies are super nice and very responsive and helpful 10-10 recommend

We held our reception at the Palafox House. Melissa Bailey worked with us on everything from the time we signed the contract until wedding day. Everyone loved the venue! We had roughly 100 people at our reception and the space was perfect for that number...it was full but felt cozy. I loved the brick and exposed wood. If you end up going with them, I highly suggest renting it for the full day...we were allowed to set up on Friday night since there were no other events going on that weekend but us and it worked out so well! All our guests loved the layout, the way everything flowed easily, and had a great time!

The staff at Palafox House and Great Southern Weddings/Catering is amazing! From the beginning, Melissa was so helpful and worked to accommodate us and answer the many questions we had throughout the planning process. She really went above and beyond to make it a special event for us. The venue was perfect and the food was delicious (we had so many guests raving about the Grits a Ya Ya!). If possible, I would definitely recommend booking the venue for the whole day so you have plenty of time to set up before your event.

The Palafox House was great to us. We loved the venue because it's so beautiful. We had an issue with booking the entire day, and they made it right. We were very pleased with the venue! The communication was also wonderful. My emails were returned at minimum next day.

HOLY MOLY, are these guys on their game! Not only is the venue too-good-to-be-true gorgeous (exposed brick! exposed beams! a staircase! chalkboard!), but their service is out of this world. Booking was super easy - Shannon is so sweet, and even runs the in-house event coordinating services, Great Southern Weddings. Those services were out of our price range (most unfortunately, because you can tell that they're the best), but we weren't made to feel second-rate just because we couldn't use them: they still treated us with professionalism, poise, and promptness.
The Palafox Houses' prices are a great value for the space, and their staff is so friendly and helpful - I honestly cannot say enough great things about them. They moved furniture with ease, plated and served the food with a smile, and assisted wherever they could - they deserved triple the money they charged, hands down. We had our ceremony and reception in the venue, and the handled flipping the room as if it was second nature - seriously, it took them 5 minutes. How incredible is that?

We planned our wedding from out of town and they were very easy to deal with throughout. They were always quick to respond and went the extra mile to make sure everything was the way I wanted it. They also helped me find other vendors that they had used in the past and coordinated with them directly. When we had a vendor issue they did everything they could to help me solve the problem. The venue and food were amazing both at the Palafox House at at the Atlas Oyster Bar (where we did our rehearsal dinner) that they also own. I would use them for a major event again and again.

I had the absolute perfect wedding reception at The Palafox House. Amazing food, staff and a beautiful building. I couldn't have used a better venue!!
