An absolute DREAM!!
Oh my gossshhh! I would give them 100 starts if I could! The photography/videography crew for our wedding we’re absolutely AMAZING! They walked in and immediately eased all of my nerves (it was supposed to be an outdoor raining, and it was pouring down raining). They were very patient and tended to all of our needs. From getting our drinks when we needed some, directing guests out of the way, and hyping our guests up! Needless to say, we were SPOILED. I can only remember one of the photographers’ names (Tyler), I wish I could remember everybody else. Music Source Media definitely made our big day a lot less stressful. We haven’t received our photos or videos yet, so I can not give a review on the quality. But I’m sure they will be amazing! I can’t thank you guys enough for being apart of our special day. I will be recommending you guys to everybody I know! ☺️♥️ -

Larry Is Amazing!
Larry was a dream to work with and we would highly recommend Music Source Media for your wedding DJ. Months after our wedding, our guests are still talking about how much they loved the music at our wedding and danced all night. From the beginning, Larry was so responsive via email and he gave us a form to fill out that asked thoughtful questions surrounding what songs to play, what songs to avoid and what genres of music we preferred. We held a call with him before the wedding and he was engaged and thoughtful. We were also able to secure the photo booth from him, which was a huge guest favorite at the wedding, and his team even gave us a book with the photo strips in them afterwards, which was so sweet. As a Brooklyn, New York-based LGBT couple planning a wedding in New Orleans, we needed vendors who were organized and responsive and also accepting and Larry delivered. Larry was such a pleasure to work with and we would definitely recommend him. -

Thank you for putting up with me!
It took me a little while to get around to writing this review but I guess "better late than never". From the beginning of my wedding day to the end Barbara and her other photographer were very patient with me. I have to admit I was sort of a "bridezilla". But they kept up with me and did everything I asked of them. I can't wait to see how everything comes out but I know it will all be perfect. They even sent me a sneak peak 2 days after the wedding. I have no idea how they had time to do it that fast. We will be recommending you to everyone we know. We owe y'all big time! -

Excellent Videography!
I was very hesitant at first because their prices are so low compared to other wedding videographers but our videos came out amazing and we all cried watching them. Highly recommend! -

We hired Larry and his team for Videography, DJ, and Photobooth. While we haven't seen the video yet I'm sure it will be awesome just like the DJ services. The music was perfect, I couldn't have asked for better. We also used The Music Source to do our ceremony music. I wanted something classic and it was beautiful. He knew exactly what I wanted. I definitely recommend Larry and I hope to use him again in the future. -

Larry and his team were the BEST from the beginning to the end. They were very easy to work with throughout the planning period, and seemed to understand everything we wanted after we explained it only one time (unlike some vendors). Their photographers were active and courteous at the same time, the music provided by Larry was AMAZING and kept the party going the whole night, and the uplighting they used made the reception absolutely perfect. Many of our guests (and my husband and myself!) keep saying that the music provided by DJ Larry was the best part of the whole wedding. I HIGHLY recommend them! You won't be disappointed! -

We use Music Source Media for all of our events. All of our brides are ecstatic after working with them. We have had some bad experiences with our clients using other vendors in the past but since we starting referring our brides here they have never been happier. -

We were very excited to be able to get all of our wedding services (DJ, Photobooth, Video, and Photo) from the same place. This made it much easier to only have to deal with one person. Larry takes care of the arrangements for everything! Makes everything much less stressful. He showed us how everything they provide is redundant. There are backups for literally every service. We actually needed one of those backups when my brother spilled a drink on the DJ's mixer at the reception. I thought we were done. The DJ simply pulled a spare out from under his table and kept going. Larry wouldn't even let us pay for the broken mixer because all of their gear was insured anyway. Great Job! -

Me and my family were a little nervous about getting all of our vendors in the same place at first. "All of our eggs in one basket" kinda thing. But we trusted the music source to provide our photos, video, lighting, music, and our monogram. We couldn't say enough good things about the job they did. I usually don't write reviews but I had to give it to these guys. Great work! -

I have never hired a DJ before and I was quite nervous to. I have heard of some really bad ones and I didn't want to have a bad experience. When I first spoke with these guys on the phone they mostly set my mind at ease. You are able to speak directly with the DJ way before the event (which was great) and we were even offered the option of a meeting (we are from NYC so that wasn't possible). Once our wedding day arrive the DJ was on time and dressed very appropriately. He was polite and went above and beyond his contract. If you are a first timer like me this is the company you want. highly recommended! -

Saved our butts! Larry and his team were hired to do our DJ, Photobooth, and Videography at our wedding. We had hired another company to take our pictures and they didn't show up! Luckily Larry had a full set of photography gear in his car. At the time this happened I was just happy to have anything. I didn't honestly expect top notch pictures because it was so last minute. BUT we just got our pictures back and they are better than we could have ever imagined. Perfect details and perfect lighting.
We looked for a photographer for several months before deciding on ours and he was a no show. Larry thank you again for everything you did. These pictures are amazing! -

I met Larry about a year ago at a wedding expo in New Orleans. He had a big impressive booth setup right in the middle. We must have talked for an hour about all he had to offer. I was a little nervous to book him for photo or video only because I didn't know anyone who had used them before. We went ahead and used him for only DJ services and Photobooth. Both were amazing. Since then I have had 3 friends of mine use them for photo and video and all 3 have been singing his praises. The only mistake I made was not hiring the music source for everything they offered. The photographer I ended up using was twice as expensive as these guys and was terrible. Meet with Larry and book him for anything you need. -

music source did an excellent job at our wedding this past weekend. They came highly recommended by our venue and our coordinator so we hired them even without meeting our DJ first. This made me a little nervous only because I am old fashioned. However, once our wedding day arrived everything was perfect. My mother even commented about how friendly the DJ was and how she liked the music. My mother doesn't like music. -

I used them for DJ, photography and a photo booth. I was planning my NOLA wedding from Los Angeles and they were super easy to work with via phone and email. I gave Larry my must play list and he perfectly understood the vibe of the music I wanted and kept people dancing all night. The photobooth was a big hit (you get a copy of everyone's pictures, which I loved). My wedding was only a few weeks ago, so I haven't got the pictures back yet, but there were 2 photographers who were everywhere without being intrusive. They were really easy to work with and I've gotten tons of compliments on the music and photobooth. A guest even asked me for their contact info for her wedding next year because she was so impressed. I originally chose them because they fit my budget, but I feel like they were worth much more than I paid. I was so happy with everything! -

We hired The Music Source for our outdoor, backyard Louisiana wedding. I was a bit skeptical about how it'd all work with the sound, mics, and execution- especially being outdoor and having 150+ people there. There was no need for me to be skeptical because The Music Source GOT IT. They understood exactly what was needed and made sure to it would happen how we envisioned it. Big shout out to this company. Our DJ cancelled on us two weeks before the wedding. I called Larry and he handled everything for us. One of his assistants actually DJ'd the wedding for us and he was excellent. He engaged the crowd very well. He was very flexible and patient with us because some things went off schedule and he handled everything wonderfully. Every single song I requested was played at all the times I wanted them to be. I would suggest that anyone who has a wedding in the area to book Larry and The Music Source as soon as possible. You won't be disappointed!! -

The Music Source was awesome! They were very friendly and easy to work with. The music for my reception was perfect and the DJ played any song we requested. Our dance floor was packed from beginning to end and I got a lot of compliments on the music. I highly recommend them! -

Ours was a small party. It was actually a family reception in the middle of the afternoon. From the initial planning all the way to the goodbyes at the end, The Music Source was very professional and a pleasure to work with. They were referred by a friend who has worked with them on several occasions for larger Holiday parties hosted at night. They are also so happy with Music Source that they wouldn't consider calling anyone else. :)

Larry with The Music Source was a complete lifesaver. My husband and I were married in the Virgin Islands & decided at the last minute (4 days before) to have a dj at the reception when we returned home. Larry DeWitt of The Music Source was incredible! He was an amazing DJ who made my ceremony and reception music absolutely perfect. I highly recommend hiring Larry to DJ your wedding or event. He was very skilled and did not miss a beat during the wedding. I gave him a schedule and list of music that I wanted, and he followed it and improvised when it was necessary on the day of the wedding. During the reception, I went to him with changes that I needed and he did exactly what I needed him to do. He said all the right things and got the party going and kept it going. Nobody wanted to leave! Loved the music and would choose Larry again if I had to do it all over again! -

Fantastic Dj , Good M.C., Knows how to keep the party alive on the dance floor . Very nice and accommodating person, has a whole portfolio of just planning spreadsheets to make it a whole lot easier for bride and groom. All the music he did was perfect, we chose to give him a ton of flexibility with dance music and he didn't disappoint. Our guests are still commenting on how they were on the floor dancing the whole night because the music was so Great! He truly has bang for your buck and takes a lot of worry off the bride and groom. -

We used Larry for our rehearsal dinner and wedding event in January 2014. Overall we couldn't have been happier with his services and would certainly work with him again. His rates for up-lighting, DJ services, and screen projectors was far cheaper and more reasonable than other competitors, but his quality was great and he was able to feed off the crowd to keep everyone dancing the whole night.
We had an Indian event the night before our ceremony/reception and he did a great job with music selection and trying to understand exactly what we wanted him to do. The wedding day at the Roosevelt Hotel was perfect and he worked with the wedding coordinator to make our day as stress free as possible. Everyone continues to comment on how great his music selection was.
We would gladly work with Larry again and recommend him without any reservation. Thanks! -

Overall, Larry did a great job providing music for our wedding ceremony and reception. I recommend being as thorough as possible with him in your final meeting; however, because he can be difficult to get a hold of prior to the event. Music selections can change over the course of planning but as long as he has the most up to date version of your preferences, everything should be okay. Organization is key. Nevertheless, he cued the ceremony music properly and took requests at the reception to keep the dance floor filled. We, and our guests, had a blast! -

Definitely a huge let down!
While Larry was professional throughout the planning process, when it came down to the actual wedding day, we were all very let down. The DJ played the wrong version of the song for the wedding party to walk down to and didn't know what to play when my husband and I came in for our first entrance among other issues despite the fact that I was asked to provide 10 pages of instructions that he clearly took no time to look at. All 600 something of my pictures are just plain horrible. I definitely am the most upset about this, obviously. The photobooth girl was using her phone to view fb all night and was unprofessional, despite the fact that Larry tried explaining she was solely using her phone for photobooth purposes. I clearly saw her on fb, many times. The videographer got minimal things that I requested in the hour and 20 minute video we were given, despite the fact that they were hired for 7 hours. The best thing we received out of spending $3500 was a 3 minute highlight video, which still has it's issues. After expressing these issues and many others to Larry he simply apologized, but lets be real here that does nothing for us now. There was absolutely nothing done or even attempted to do to make things right or even try to help any of the situation. He simply explained he's never had anyone dissatisfied with all aspects of his companies service, well Larry, we were! I'm beyond upset with what we got from this company and wouldn't recommend them, at all! Do your research and find more well known vendors with more reviews to go off of. This was by far the biggest let down out of this entire wedding process. -

I canceled my contract with this vendor back in October because I started to get a bad feeling about Larry after re-reading some of the reviews. After speaking to him once about my refund, he started avoiding my calls. I gave his number to my mom, and naturally, he picked up the first time to talk to her, but then started screening her calls as well. He obviously has no intention of refunding my deposit. I'm just glad I followed my gut and canceled... I would absolutely NOT recommend this vendor to anyone. Who knows if they would have anyone shown up to the wedding? The DJ/photo booth packages are cheap but not worth possibly ruining your wedding. Very unethical, shady business practices. -

Larry De Witt does not practice good business. Our music was skipping ALL night long. When we contacted Larry De Witt to complain about the services we received (he was not there personally), he said that his employees said there was not a problem with the music at all. Really? Do you really think that the people you hired to do this job would tell you that they did not actually do their job? That is completely ridiculous. \r\n\r\nLarry De Witt also stated that he contacted the photographer and manager of the venue as well, and that neither one of them complained about the music either. Really? I\'m pretty sure that the photographer and venue manager (who were busy doing their job) were not even paying any attention to the music. We offered to supply Larry De Witt with additional witnesses to what ACTUALLY happened, Larry De Witt states that he no longer can devote anymore time to our complaints. We offered to have our guests contact him directly (so as not to waste anymore of his time), but Larry De Witt explained that any additional proof would be of no value to him. \r\n\r\nWhen Larry De Witt was told that skipping music was unacceptable, all Larry De Witt would say is \"if you can prove to me that you sent me a song list, then I will work with you to get this resolved\". When asked what having a song list has to do with the music skipping ALL night long, Larry De Witt was literally speechless. We will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and filing a claim in small claims court. -
