  Go with Jemelle, you won't regret it!

  From the moment we met with Jemelle, we knew that she was the perfect officiant for us. As an LGBTQIA+ couple, navigating a heteronormative wedding industry had us defeated at times, especially when we were looking for an officiant. Jemelle was instantly welcoming and we loved talking with her! She's professional, answered our million questions, and was extremely helpful. Our ceremony was perfectly tailored towards us and so many of our guests made sure to go out of the way tell us just how incredible she was (which we already knew, but that was good to hear)! We would recommend her and her services to anyone, but especially if you're a queer couple. Thank you, Jemelle!

  Jemelle Wooten; the Modern Officiant was amazing!

  We were seeking an officiant who would accommodate both Christian and Buddhist beliefs into our ceremony. We also wanted someone who brought creative and diverse thinking to our vows. Jemelle was everything we'd hoped for. By the end of the wedding and celebration, we felt like we were family. She made every moment of our celebration perfect; we felt so special...like she knew our hearts.

  Jemelle was the perfect choice for our wedding!

  Jemelle was phenomenal, arrived early and fit right in with our family - hanging out and relaxing pre-ceremony. Everyone commented later how great it was to meet Jemelle. The questions asked of my fiance and I beforehand served to create the perfect, tailored ceremony with very personal nods to our lives together thus far. It made our whole day so sweet and romantic, and really set the tone for the rest of the night. I would recommend Jemelle to ANYONE looking for a more personalized wedding ceremony lead by a soul that radiates kindness, acceptance and love.

  "If we didn't already have an officiant, we would get her." That's an actual quote from one of our guests who got married two weeks after our ceremony. That tells of the awesomeness that is Jemelle. She got to know us (via counseling sessions) and sprinkled that knowledge throughout the nuptials. Her warmth, personality and words all lent themselves to the magic of the moment. I really can't say enough about her save - get her if you can!

  Jemelle is the ABSOLUTE Best Wedding Officiant

  We feel so fortunate to have Jemelle officiate our elopement. She is very professional, reliable, friendly, caring and compassionate even though we changed plans many times. Her calm and peaceful demeanor made our elopement a perfect little ceremony for us.   Jemelle is an excellent officiant! She is personable, a skilled speaker, and easy to work with. Her officiation was just the right fit for us and was heartfelt with a sprinkle of humor.
  
  She is very responsive and professional, and guided us through each step of the process. She gave us clear direction on getting the marriage license and handled filing the paperwork with no hiccups. Honestly, working with her was the easiest part of our wedding planning so it was appreciated.
  
  In the months since the wedding we are still having guests express how impressed they were with her and asking how we found her.
  
  We also completed our pre-marital counseling with Jemelle, which I highly recommended because it resulted in a very personalized officiation. It was a wonderful experience for both me and my husband and we learned a lot about ourselves and each other. Jemelle was very open with us during our six sessions and we got to know her more as part of that process.
  
  Overall, 10/10, would have her marry us all over again!

  We can't highly recommend her enough! She listened to our needs and provided us guidance and suggestions for what we wanted. We're not super traditional, so it was nice of someone to provide us a variety of options! When COVID hit and we had to postpone, she was flexible enough to provide us an intimate ceremony. Very excited to utilize her full services for the real ceremony next year!

  The Modern Officiant should also be known as The Modern Efficient. The Modern Officiant was there to rescue our recent marriage when we had to make some last minute changes with our previous Officiant. The Modern Officiant (Jemelle) immediately provided 5-Star service and remained consistent throughout our wedding planning and wedding day. She was professional, supportive, attentive, and flexible regarding all of our needs and wants. As a result, our ceremony was more beautiful than I would have ever imagined.

  The Modern Officiant should also be known as The Modern Efficient.   Devoted, thoughtful, and caring Officiant

  Jemelle truly is a wonderful person. We chose her as our officiant for our wedding. We were drawn to her warmth and optimism when we had first interviewed her over the phone. We had a slightly unusual request in that we had asked for her to marry us legally a few days before the official wedding (we wanted a certain date as our legal wedding date). Jemelle accommodated us without an additional charge or hesitation.
  
  Jemelle provided a beautiful service. We had several family members tell us what an amazing job she did. We felt like we had known her all our lives by how she treated us during the ceremony. We were obviously emotional, but she was our rock. We had a last minute change where we had incorporated in a handfasting, and Jemelle happily made the change. She was sweet, thoughtful, and I can't think of enough good things to say about her. She was truly a gift, and I can't thank her enough for marrying us. I highly recommend her.

  A Master of Her Craft!

  I contacted Jemelle after reading all her exemplary reviews and it left me excited and anxious ( in a good way) to work with her. Not being from an extremely religious background, we were looking for an officiant to craft a ceremony full of love and not religion and I’m so happy we found her. She took time getting to know us through pre-marital counseling (highly recommended!!!) and took pieces of what she learned to carefully tell the story of our magic on our big day. Our wedding was only a month ago, but we’re still getting compliments on how meaningful Jemelle made our ceremony! Her prices were extremely reasonable and she was flexible with us and our schedules throughout the entire process. If you’re looking for an amazing officiant take time to get to know you and your partner and make your ceremony memorable and meaningful, look no further!

  I had no direct contact with her. She did a nice job officiating the union I attended. The service ice started ontime and she was very professional and respectful to the couple. I would refer her, but would need the couple to elaborate more on the interactions.

  Omg! From the first interaction with The Modern Officiant to the last, you can tell this is just not a job for her it’s her passion. She was very kind, accommodating, transparent, honest & lovable. It was an absolute honor to have her to participate in our wedding.

  Simply Amazing

  What was suppose to be a surprise originally turned out to be an amazing ceremony shared amongst friends, family and our new favorite officiant, Jemelle! I was a silent fan of Jemelle's prior to our wedding and when the time came for me to know about the wedding (a few weeks prior to the date), I almost jumped out of my skin to know Jemelle was officiating! I'm still very gitty about it. She made the process so easy for us and with this being my first (last and only) marriage, I am so glad she was apart of it! To anyone who wants a wedding full of compassion and love, The Modern Officiant is your girl! Love, peace and blessings. -Nita
