Totally recommend. The venue is perfectly nestled in the heart of downtown. A little slice of solitude and peace in the fast paced city. They were wonderful to work with for our wedding. Unfortunately, life happened and we had to shift some things. But they were super accommodating!

I consider myself SO lucky that we were able to book this venue- the grounds are absolutely beautiful. The trees, the rose bushes, the lights, and everything about this space is perfect for an outdoor wedding. The staff and venue coordinator Kelvin were so WONDERFUL to work with- truly could not have asked for anything better. I can't wait to come back and visit this space on our anniversary!

Ashlyn and the team made our day a wonderful memory. Due to Covid -19 we had to make some many adjustments, but Ashlyn made it work and created the intimate experience we wanted. Our wedding day and reception was more than we could have ever wanted. Thank you Ashlyn and Dan!

McGill Rose Garden is ethereal, romantic, and adorably quirky with statues in nooks in crannies for your guests to wander upon. The roses are in bloom way longer than you'd expect and there are swoon-worthy scenes all over the garden perfect for pictures. But beyond the beautiful venue are people who care about giving you the wedding of your dreams. We were warned by everyone "things go wrong, just let it go!" And I was prepared for that. What I wasn't prepared for was for absolutely nothing to go wrong. Our wedding was perfect. The timing, all the gorgeous flowers, the fine details that were more so for us than the guests...it was all flawless and that's completely because of the staff at McGill and Nectar. I will be forever grateful to Karisa and Ashlyn for the guidance, quick responses, and thought put into our wedding because even though it was only a day, we worked together for almost a year on the planning.
You can go with a venue that wow's based on size, expense, cool exhibits, or even because you think it's trendy but ultimately, it's the team behind the venue who makes sure your vision comes to life. I think McGill wow's because their team makes sure the garden reflects exactly what you want it to for your big day. For us that was genuine love (and a darn good party for our friends). 15/10 from this happy bride.

If your looking for something close to uptown in Charlotte, NC this is the venue for you!!! The staff has been super responsive and I cannot wait to celebrate my love for my fiance in this lovely little garden.

Ashlyn and her team helped us plan and execute the wedding of our dreams! Not only was the final product absolutely beautiful, but Ashlyn's team was right there with us from day 1 through the end of the wedding night. We could not have asked for a more perfect experience. Our guests LOVED McGill!

We recently got married at the Mcgill Rose garden in Charlotte, NC. I can not say enough about how magical they made our wedding day/night for us. They took my ideas and decorations and made the most beautiful venue come to life! The garden itself is blooming with hundreds of rose bushes, lush magnolias, lavender, daisies, crawling greens, and the lighting package we bought just made it even more dreamy and romantic. They were not only our venue site, but our florists, and our coordinators for the day of. They were responsive to emails, flexible, and made the most beautiful bouquets and floral arrangements off of a mood board they made for us! I can go on and on.. they are just the BEST!!!!! The only worry I had about the venue was the weather, as it is all outside. Luckily the wedding gods gave us the perfect day, but we had a back up plan just in case!

After some issues with a prior wedding venue, my husband and I found the McGill Rose Garden and were able to book it last minute for our ceremony. I just have to say, the people at the McGill Rose Garden were so sweet, accommodating and easy to work with and the garden is beautiful! There were so many hidden treasured spots to take our pictures. Have your ceremony at the Mcgill Rose Garden - You will not regret it!! Thank you so much for making our day so beautiful!

Everyone at Nectar was wonderful to work with for our wedding and reception. You absolutely can't beat the price for the service you receive. They take care of setup and removal of everything except valuables and food. Not to mention the fact that the garden is gorgeous and so romantic at night with the lights. It was the perfect evening for us!

Karisa and Dan are absolutely amazing! They take care of all the setup and coordinated with the vendors throughout the planning process and wedding day. It certainly puts a bride at ease! They're incredibly detail oriented and truly want the best for your wedding! I cannot recommend them highly enough.

One of my main concerns was the weather... Something entirely out of one's control. They assist with the process of setting up tent rentals if needed so rain or shine it'll be OK!

The garden is beautiful and perfect for a party of 100. When I entered the garden on the wedding day all of the decor was breathtaking! Truly a gem in Charlotte! You will not be disappointed if your heart is set on a garden. We wed in October.. the roses appear the most lush and full at this time. Thank you Dan and Karisa for making our wedding day perfect!

Karisa and Dan are pretty much the most amazing duo the wedding world has ever seen. Every single detail was utter perfection. I walked out into the garden for the first time on my wedding day and almost cried with happiness. The fairy lights were placed 'just so', the chandelier in the tent illuminated perfectly as the sun set, the roses were in full bloom and, most importantly, I didn't have to worry about A THING! Karisa was our "go to" person leading up to our wedding day, and she very patiently answered all my five million questions and didn't get upset when I changed my mind or utterly panicked. Dan was fantastic on the day of- we'd worked out a general schedule beforehand, and he was ON IT. Everything was seamless- even the weather didn't dare not cooperate!

The managers of the venue themselves keep the venue absolutely lovely. My interaction was solely with Nectar Floral Designs as they manage events at the venue. You cannot beat the combo of Nectar and McGill Rose Garden for a gorgeous, budget friendly, stress free wedding and reception venue. And if you are doing an evening event, it is even more beautiful with the lights that Nectar puts up.

The McGill Rose Garden was an absolutely amazing venue, and working with Karissa and Dan made everything incredibly pleasant and easy for us. We planned the whole wedding ourselves, so going through some stuff like the rehearsal was a little overwhelming, but Karissa was really helpful and guided us along to a perfect ceremony. We elected to only hold our ceremony here, but everything about it was amazing. The garden is beautiful and well maintained, while still managing to feel natural and organic. It was the perfect venue for us. Working with everyone there was great, and I really can't speak highly enough of our experience.

I can't say enough about how beautiful this venue is! My wedding atmosphere was so intimate and fun mostly in part to the garden! We had both our ceremony and reception here, for most of the reception it was dark out but the lighting that was put up throughout the garden made for such a beautiful location! The event planners at the garden, Karisa & Dan, are so awesome and easy to work with! I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for an intimate and beautiful wedding location hidden away, just minutes from uptown Charlotte!

The McGill Rose Garden was an amazing place to have our wedding, it was romantic yet fun...the staf (Karissa and Dan) were absolutely perfect and made the planning and preparations stress free. When it came to the big day. Karissa was amazing...she made sure everything went smoothly with each facet of the wedding...all while taking to to make sure that my wife and I ate, and took a few minutes alone together to enjoy our moment. We would highly recommend McGill and Nectar, they are just fabulous in every way!

Not only was the venue beautiful this time of year, the service and professionalism of the team was perfect. This obviously wan't their first rodeo. The best part was Karissa's creativity and her ability to execute my vision. This place is a must for a wedding and reception. Great value, service, and a breathtaking venue. A absolute must!

Truly a hidden gem in Charlotte. It's the perfect mix of having a beautiful outdoor wedding but still being in the city. There are so many little nooks to take amazing photos in and the staff is so amazing and helpful. They were basically our wedding planners, were so accommodating with our all of our requests and set the garden up perfectly for us. All of our guests loved how unique the garden was!

The site was beautiful and they took care of everything. I didn't worry for a minute that things would be set up perfectly. Karisa, who was there for all the planning and for the day of my wedding, was amazing. She was the easiest vendor to work with and she did all of my flowers too!

My husband and I booked the ceremony only option at McGill Rose Garden this past July, and although the the cost for a reception at the venue was completely out of our budget, the ceremony only option was a great deal. Because my husband and I had an afternoon wedding, we were able to save on the reception cost by hosting lunch at a nearby restaurant immediately after the ceremony.

Nectar had recently changed several of their policies, so we did have a bit of confusion around our ceremony location. On our tour, we were told we could have the ceremony in front of the train car, but after we booked the venue, we were told this was no longer an option (although it was not clarified in the contract). Had we known that was the case, we would have found a different venue. After a bit of back and forth, we were able to have our ceremony where we had originally planned, and the venue was perfect on our wedding day.

We chose to use Nectar for our day of coordinator, and Karissa did an AMAZING job making sure that the ceremony went smoothly. Our guests loved the garden and it made a perfect backdrop for our wedding photos.

Overall, I would highly recommend the McGill Rose Garden, but if you want to have your ceremony by the train car (which is where most of the photos online show ceremonies taking place), you will need to work with the venue beforehand to ensure this is still an option.

Place is absolutely breathtaking and made for excellent wedding photos. The staff was very organized and very helpful. They helped create a perfect day!

Wonderful ceremony location, especially if you have lighting added and you have reception on location. They were cooperative with our date changing unexpectedly, our special requests, and our multiple visits to location for planning. The staff was friendly and cooperative.

My early October ceremony at McGill Rose Garden was picturesque. Highly recommended to anyone with a fairly small guest list (under 100) who desires an affordable and beautiful outdoor venue.
