  Matt Carroll & The Brown Coats MADE our wedding. We can't praise them enough. They played a perfect mix of current pop hits and classic hits. Matt was always extremely prompt and responsive in communication. He will do anything in his power to make your wedding what you want it to be. Book them if you want to have fun at your wedding!

  Matt Carroll and the Brown Coats did a wonderful job at our wedding reception! We couldn't have asked for a better band! Our family and friends were dancing all night. We have received so many compliments on the band after our wedding. If you're thinking of booking them, don't hesitate...you will not regret it!

  Matt Carroll and the Browncoats were wonderful in every single way as a reception band. Not only are they incredibly talented musicians, they also made the music portion of my wedding planning an absolute breeze. They provided all the required equipment so I didn't have to worry about anything extra and even though I had booked them to play at the reception, they volunteered to help out with the sound for the ceremony as well. Matt was also very flexible with song selections, allowing us to either play requested songs from an ipod (which he would also take care of himself) or learn songs specifically for us to play during the first dances.   Matt Carroll and the Browncoats were wonderful in every single way as a reception band. Not only are they incredibly talented musicians, they also made the music portion of my wedding planning an absolute breeze. We requested that they play "You've Got a Friend" by James Taylor for the father/daughter and mother/son dances and they learned it and played it without a single flaw- it made it so much more special to have the song played live! Matt was so professional and well-organized and I just loved the band's song list in general - it was such a blast!!! The whole reception went by without a single hitch which is something I never would have imagined! The entire band was friendly, flexible, and responsive. I could not have asked for a better band to have played at our wedding - we are still getting compliments even though the wedding was weeks ago. All around this band is amazing and I would highly recommend them for a fun band for any event.

  Matt and his band did a great job at the wedding! I met them when they were playing another show at Stillwater and had a fun time dancing with friends and the entertainment they provided. I decided to hire them for the wedding because of how enjoyable they made the party and their good music selection for all the age groups at the wedding. Thanks Matt, you rock.

  These guys were not my first choice. I had seen another band that I really wanted for my reception but we just could not fit them in our budget. We thought we were compromising by going Matt Carroll and the Browncoats because they were less expensive, but they completely blew the other band away. I think I was lucky to get these guys before they realize what they are worth. They were about half the price of the other band we wanted and we could not have been more pleased. They were perfect. Do yourself a favor and check these guys out.

  Matt Carroll and the Browncoats were absolutely amazing. They were easy to book, easy and fast to communicate with and flexible to our needs. My friends and family who came to the wedding RAVED about how great they are. These guys did an amazing job- I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone!!!

  I was super nervous finding a band on the internet. I don’t really know any musicians that I trust, but I’ve always wanted a live band on my wedding day. So I searched a lot of sites, read a lot of reviews, and talked to a lot of bands. Matt Carroll made me feel at ease during every part of the process. I don’t know that any other band would have had such attention to detail. I really felt like our wedding was a priority and not just another day for them. Thanks guys!

  This band made our wedding day! We had some serious things go wrong during the ceremony and we went into the reception just waiting for more problems, but these guys had thought of everything. They helped us schedule the flow of the reception and they knew what they were doing. During dinner they played perfect romantic mood music and when dinner was over they knew exactly what to play to start the party. The band was great at every genre they tackled, and they played a lot of different genres! They were such a huge help in every way.

  Matt Carroll and the Brown coats made our reception a real party. They had everybody dancing. From my nieces and nephews all the way to my great grand mother. Not to mention how special they made our first dance. They let us request songs for them to learn so our first dance was exactly the one we wanted and they played it perfectly. I recommend them to everybody I know that’s getting married.

It was pretty funny because most of the songs we had picked for those moments were exactly what Matt had playing. Matt is really animated on stage, and knows how to work the crowd. The video on gig masters shows him acting a little mellow, but don't read too much into that. He definitely knows how to get down. I had at least 20 people tell me during the wedding that the band sounded great, and that the lead singer was super entertaining. Matt is also polite, professional, and easy to work with during the planning process. I was a little on edge, because I waited until the last possible minute to book a band. And we had an incredibly short engagement time (4 months) which caused me to stress even more. I checked in with him once or twice during those 4 months, and he assured me that he had everything under control while letting me know exactly what to expect and when to expect it. He also gave me helpful tips concerning music and positioning of the band to make the party more of a hit. And even better he worked with me on some options to reduce the price, because we were working with an extremely tight budget. In short if you are looking for an overall awesome band who will get everyone (even my 85 year old grandmother) dancing, look no further than matt carroll and the brown coats!
