I cannot state how lovely our wedding was at the Turner Hill Mansion! From the quality of planning, to how absolutely INCREDIBLE Sonya is to work with to the absolute delicious food by the onsite catering company Vinwood caterers… I cannot say enough good things! Sonya made it a breeze to plan everything, details were incredible, and super understanding when on my part had a deposit mix up with the check. She helped me make a checklist with everything needed, timeline and details were all very thought out. If there were any hiccups throughout the day (which I don’t think there were) I didn’t need to worry they had it all handled and were in talks! We had a small wedding, only 35 in attendance and I love that you only pay for the people who rsvp two weeks ahead of time. We used their preferred vendor for DJ, AllStar weddings and their uplighting was a must for the venue. Definitely get a bus service, as there are next to no Ubers late at night when it is over. We used farm and son for the flowers and ability cannot state ENOUGH how incredible he made the day magical. He brought all the ceremony flowers from outside inside after for double use and made the whole venue feel like a jungle paradise! Thank you to everyone involved for making my dream a reality at such a beautiful estate🫶🏻

This was the venue of our dreams!! Tara and Sonya were an absolute breeze to work with and helped make our wedding spectacular. From helping guests on the day of, to all the planning leading up to the big day, they were there to help. The venue itself is absolutely incredible. We were blessed with perfect weather and had our ceremony outside in the gardens, cocktail hour on the patio and dinner in the ballroom. We opted for the premium bar package and guests raved about having the passed cocktails. The mansion is full of so many interesting rooms and artifacts, we didn’t feel the need to add much.

Josephine & the Vinwood staff at Turner Hill were great to work with. Our event went off without a hitch and it's all thanks to the professional staff. Our guests loved the mansion and the size of the venue with the multiple rooms was perfect for our 50 person wedding. I can't say enough good things about Turner Hill!

When I got engaged I really wanted that "mansion" feel. I came across The Mansion on Turner Hill when looking for venues in the Boston area. This is the one and only venue that my fiance and I looked at. They were so accommodating and their prices blew everyone else out of the park! We were a pandemic wedding so we needed to postpone, luckily there was a spot open on May 30, 2021 and we took it.

Fast forward to the big day, it poured, and I mean the sky opened for at least 48 hours! I was bumming because the landscape at the mansion is gorgeous and I really wanted the ceremony to be help outside. But, we had to settle with being inside, and my god I am so happy we did! When you book your wedding at the mansion you get to use 7 of their absolutely stunning rooms. Everything was warm and cozy and just made for the most amazing experience.

We worked with Carol and she made us feel at ease and comfortable throughout the whole day. Weeks later and all of our friends and family are still talking about how beautiful our venue was. I can't recommend this place enough!

Turner Hill was by far an amazing venue with an incredible support staff that made our wedding FLAWLESS! The gardens are incredible for the ceremony, and the mansion is very versatile and beautiful. My guests loved the charm of the venue and are still raving about our 'fairy tale' wedding! I've never been in a wedding party, let alone thrown a wedding of my own! So believe me I had about a million questions. Carol Travers was an impeccable resource and wonderful person to work with. She made the entire process easy, simple and fun! If your looking for an unforgettable venue with excellent staff that will go above and beyond, then Turner Hill is for you!

I recently got married at Turner Hill and it was a dream. Shopping around for venues I was looking at hotels, or banquet-style venues in Boston, and they all felt a little sterile. When we decided to look a little closer to home, we found Turner Hill and immediately knew that the mansion was the perfect place. Our guests LOVED it here and haven't stopped talking about it - especially the flow of the night since we had the ceremony in the garden, cocktails behind the mansion, dinner in the tent, and the party inside the mansion. You were never in one place for too long. Carol is very professional and clearly has a ton of experience hosting weddings here. I knew we were in good hands with her and never worried about anything all night.

This was the first venue we visited in our hunt and we fell in love with it instantly. We visited a few other venues in the north shore before we made our final decision, but nothing compared to the beauty of Turner Hill Mansion and its grounds. It truly is a magical space, full of history and character. Not to mention, the staff that comes with the mansion is top of the line. Carol, the event coordinator, is unbelievable! She is an expert and she made sure everything ran smoothly on the day of our wedding. We had a few meetings with her leading up to the wedding and she always had tons of great advice to share. We ended up going with a lot of her vendor recommendations (Lilac & Lily - florist, and Czone - DJ) and we were thrilled with the way everything turned out. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Turner Hill Mansion... it's the best venue all around and we had the most epic wedding ever!

Words cannot describe the awesomeness of having a wedding here! I felt like i was at Downton Abbey! Staff was extremely responsive, professional and classy.

As part of your rental, you are able to access the entire first floor including a library, bridal suite, dining room, and more. If renting in the spring or summer you are also able to use an outdoor tented area.

Carol was incredibly helpful and detailed throughout the entire process and met with us twice before we made our decision since my now husband was out of the country during my first visit. Guests are still talking about the wedding, the flow, of the evening, and the incredible venue. They even light a fire in the library where the bar is!

If we could do it all again at the Mansion and with Carol, we would! Thank you, Carol, for making our special day so perfect.

My husband and I got married at Turner Hill and I am SO happy that we did! The on-site coordinator, Carol Travers, helped us plan and execute our perfect wedding. Carol is experienced and honest and gave us the feedback we desperately needed on what would work best for each aspect of our wedding. She was always available to answer a question or give a professional opinion and her ability to execute our dream wedding without us having a concise idea of what that was was incredible. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and our guests were equally in awe of the mansion, the grounds and the decor. I could not recommend Turner Hill and Carol Travers enough to help you plan and execute your dream wedding!

My husband and I first met with Carol at Turner Hill about a year and a half before our wedding date this past October. We knew from the instant we arrived onsite that this was our venue. The dreamy outdoor ceremony location, the outdoor / indoor cocktail hour space, and the year-round tent with a built-in dance floor were the perfect locations for each event on our wedding day's docket. What really drew us in was the magic, history and beauty of Turner Hill. The dark wood, the old library, massive fireplaces - one of which had a roaring fire on our wedding night - the bridal and groom suites, and the ornate décor enamored us instantly. We knew we wanted a regal, elegant wedding and that's exactly what Turner provided. Our guests are still talking about how it felt like we had all been transported to Europe for the day. Carol's attention to detail, planning and organization, and extensive knowledge and experience had a direct impact on the magic of our day. Carol directed guests throughout the mansion and grounds seamlessly. The day flowed with perfection. Everything was made easy for my husband and I, who felt like we could just float through the best day of our lives without a care in the world, focusing on each other and 175 family and friends. We can't recommend Turner Hill and Carol enough.

Could not have selected a better venue for our wedding. Unique and beautiful beyond words. We had a decent sized wedding (230) and were able to spread out a bit during cocktail hour and the reception with all the rooms and outside terrace. Vinwood, the exclusive caterer, is top notch. Carol, the wedding coordinator, is fantastic. Highly recommend! Worth every penny.

Our wedding at The Mansion on Turner Hill was MAGICAL! This venue is really something special. For 5.5 hours, we used so many different spaces of this venue (the garden, patio, tent, and ballroom) and they are all equally so beautiful. Many guests commented on how our wedding felt like it was out of a fairy tale. Carol did an amazing job ensuring that everything went as planned and gave us advice and direction along the way. We felt confident that everything was going to run smoothly with Carol at wheel and it made our day so much more enjoyable. This was the best venue AND the best value.

We had our wedding in July at this venue and we can't say enough great things about it! The staff was excellent. Kristin, the catering manager, was so attentive and kept us on schedule throughout the night which was really helpful. Carol, the day-of coordinator, made sure that we didn't have to do anything that day. The whole day was seamless and our guests had an amazing time. The venue itself is beautiful and our guests were raving about the space and the food. Highly recommend!

My husband and I just got married at Mansion on Turner Hill. Our wedding was beautiful. Our guests loved exploring the mansion and the tent setting was large enough to accommodate our 150 guests. Carol does an excellent job communicating throughout the entire process. I would recommend Turner Hill to anyone. Whether inside the mansion or outside in the garden, the venue provides a perfect background for any couple.

From the moment we saw the Mansion on Turner Hill, we knew that it was where we were going to get married. We were so lucky that everything else lived up to those expectations.

We worked with Carol in the months leading up to the wedding and she was super helpful in setting expectations with us when we were several months out and then leading us through the decision making process when we got closer to the wedding. She was always responsive when we had questions and gave advice when we were trying to decide the timeline and overall flow of the day.

The day of was perfect and the entire Turner Hill and Vinwood Staff were a huge part of that. Kristin helped us through everything from the moment we stepped foot through the doors and made sure we didn't miss anything. We enjoyed everything we chose to have as a part of our wedding and Turner Hill made sure we got to take in all of those experiences.

Turner Hill is the most amazing location for a wedding! I absolutely loved every minute of my wedding day and I know that the location and the people that work at Turner Hill were what made my day such a huge success. When you book a wedding at Turner Hill you get the entire half of the old estate which means there are many areas for your guests to roam and explore which I know our guests enjoyed. Our ceremony was in the gardens at Turner Hill and it was gorgeous. We had our reception in the tent which was transformed and absolutely perfect! Carol Travers, the Director of Mansion Club Sales and Events, ran the day so smoothly making sure that everything was on time and according to plan. She also helped immensely with the planning process. I had no worries on the day of my wedding because I knew Carol had everything under control. She helped coordinate with vendors and made sure that nothing slipped through the cracks. I cannot say enough about how helpful and amazing it was to work with her and to have our wedding at Turner Hill!

We got married at Turner Hill on 7/7 and everything was absolutely perfect. The coordinator at the venue, Carol, was very responsive from the first time I reached out asking for more information, all the way through the day itself. She was quick to answer any questions over email, offered her suggestions when asked based on previous experience, and was so organized with the day-of schedule. I felt so at ease the days before my wedding because it truly felt like we had thought of everything.

The venue itself is just gorgeous - we had both our ceremony and reception at Turner Hill. The bride and groom's rooms are large, air-conditioned, and comfortable. I especially enjoyed that from the bride's room you could see the guests arriving - it was fun to see all of our friends and family gathering. The ceremony area is stunning and our guests enjoyed seeing the Mansion during the reception.

I could not recommend Turner Hill more - would not have changed a thing!

The most amazing venue!! We were obsessed the second we walked in and even more so after meeting the amazing staff. Carol is incredible and makes the entire experience so easy and effortless. I couldn’t be happier with every aspect of our wedding, couldn’t have done it without carols help and an the amazing turner hill space!

We just had our wedding at Turner Hill in June. The place is amazing. I loved how we were able to have our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing all in different rooms. Everyone was complimenting how beautiful the venue was. Throughout our planning, we worked with Carol and she was amazing to work with! She was always quick to respond and extremely helpful. If you want a spectacular, romantic wedding, PLEASE book Turner Hill and Vinwood Caterers. We visited Turner Hill just a couple weeks after getting engaged and it was truly the BEST decision we made. The venue is beautiful! Carol Travers is truly a wonderful and experienced coordinator and Kristin Smith is great dining manager. Vinwood Caterers has a gift for just great quality and delicious food. The venue was so different than what we have experienced at other weddings. Our guests and family had the ability to walk throughout the mansion to take in the true beauty of Turner Hill every moment of the wedding night. The tent was a wonderful space with a great view of the gardens and lake. Our guests remained excited and entertained from cocktail hour through the last song of the night. The Turner Hill and Vinwood Staff were professional, timely, very kind to our guests, helpful, and worked diligently all night to make sure we (bride and groom) and our parents were taken care of. We were able to enjoy the entire night because the staff was so attentive and managed absolutely everything for us. We have received multiple phone calls weeks later about how beautiful and smooth our wedding was and how amazing the staff was. We are so humbled to have been able to host our wedding event with Turner Hill and Vinwood. We are beyond grateful to Carol for her professionalism, kindness, timeliness, and expertise from beginning to end. We are also grateful to Kristin Smith for going above and beyond to take of care of us throughout the night with her kindness, promptness, and caring manner. Carol is a pro who helps tend to every detail - she has been doing this for a long time and she just knows to to get it right and take all the stress off the bride. We took advantage of the "off-season" rate for Turner Hill and that helped us save several thousand dollars. It was an incredible value and everything looked amazing. Cannot recommend them this venue more highly.

We had our magical wedding a month ago & couldn’t be more ecstatic with our decision! Turner Hill captured our hearts! The breathtaking architecture & gorgeous gardens was the perfect setting for our classic elegant wedding. The ability to use the entire first floor was wonderful & special! Everything turned out just perfectly thanks to Carol Travers & Kristin Smith. We planned on an outdoor ceremony however; there were rain showers. The rain plan is just as exceptional as the gardens! We are over the moon with our inside ceremony; beautiful, intimate & sweet! Carol & Kristin saved rose petals for our inside aisle décor! They thought of everything that would make our wedding run smoothly & carried themselves with upmost professionalism & grace. Both Carol & Kristin genuinely cared about us having the ‘Best Day Ever’!
Carol met all our needs beyond our expectations! I planned long distance & she made it easy to coordinate visits, tastings, & the rehearsal. Carol made it seamless. She went beyond the call of duty helping us plan an exceptional wedding, met special requests, & took care of everyone with 5 star service. Hurricane Irma impacted some of our FL guests; Carol once again stepped up to the plate with understanding & was accommodating. Vinwood food & service are top-notch! The bar was expertly stocked & bartenders amazing! Our guests raved about how delicious the food was! We got married at Turner Hill Mansion a few weeks ago, and it was the absolute best choice of venue. It was the first thing we booked, and the second we got there, we knew it was the right place. We loved so much about the location, but a big part of it was the fact that we loved the rain plan. We had the option to get married outdoors or inside the beautiful mansion, so we never stressed about the weather leading up to our day. Our guests are still talking about how beautiful Turner Hill was, and how well we used the space. One of the great things about this place is that you can customize your wedding and use the entire space however you want. We got married outside, had cocktail hour out on the patio/lawn, dinner in the tent, and dancing/dessert inside the mansion. It really gave people a chance to move around and see the beautiful space. Additionally, Carol Travers, our coordinator at Turner Hill, was incredible. About a month before our wedding, the person who had been our coordinator accepted a new job and left. This could have been a really stressful situation, seeing as we had finalized all the details and had all meetings with her up until this point. However, when Carol stepped in, it was clear we had nothing to worry about. She has been doing this job for years, and immediately makes you feel relaxed and like you're in great hands. She set up a meeting when she took over our wedding to make sure she knew exactly what we wanted and got to meet us face-to-face, and she was with us every step of the way on our day (and at our rehearsal) to make sure we knew where to be, what was happening, and that we were happy with how things were going. I wish we could get married again so we could be back at Turner Hill!

Breathtakingly beautiful, old world charm and impeccably maintained, The Mansion on Turner Hill in Ipswich, MA was host venue to our daughter's wedding on Saturday, July 29th 2017. I'm not sure where to begin. Our heads are still in the clouds after this magical evening. Vinwood Catering serves as Turner Hill's caterer. From the day we booked through the menu selection and tasting to the night of, Carol Travers of Turner Hill and Kristin Smith of Vinwood saw to every detail and met all our needs with grace, confidence and calm. There wasn't a hiccup. Really, I mean it, not one. Our guests are still talking about it. I'm still not convinced that Carol didn't have something to do with the appearance of the sun just as our outdoor ceremony began in the Turner Hill garden.
Carol and Kristin made the whole event seem easy. We were all relaxed as soon as we arrived for first look and formal photos as they guided us through the afternoon and evening with attention to detail, professionalism and a sense of well being that just transfered onto the nervous bride. She knew all was well and that she was in great hands.
I haven't even mentioned the food! Guests were greeted after the ceremony with an abundance of appetizers throughout cocktail hour that folks are still raving about and the meal was fabulous. Meals came out practically all at the same time, so we all got to eat together. Individual needs were catered to and no one wanted for anything throughout the evening.
After the last guest had left, staff helped organize our belongings and made sure that no one left anything behind.
A truly flawless event from beginning to end.

My husband and I absolutely loved Turner Hill as our venue. Carol, the Mansion Event Manager was absolutely lovely from the first time I contacted her (15 months before our wedding day) to the end of our wedding day.) It was a dream come true wedding and we couldn't have done it without Carol and Turner Hill's Winter Wonderland Package. The venue itself is breathtaking, the grounds are spectacular, and the caterer they use (Vinwood) was exceptional. All of our guests raved about the food and the architecture? of the Mansion. It was also wonderful to have our ceremony and reception all in one location. Carol recommended Reverand Sue for our ceremony and she helped my husband and I create a ceremony that was personal to us as a couple. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and exceeded our wildest dreams.

I like to tell people that I knew my wedding venue before I knew my groom. That is because I knew the moment I laid eyes on The Mansion on Turner Hill 6 years ago that I would someday host my wedding there. Carol Travers and the staff at Turner Hill literally made my dreams come true.

First of all, Vinwood caterers are incredible. They use the freshest ingredients and are so accommodating of allergies and special diets, you would think they knew each guest personally. Turner Hill partners exclusively with Vinwood and after sampling a meal with them, it is evident why. Their service and their food are unbeatable.

Carol Travers is this venue's built in wedding planner. She is an absolute angel. Carol has been doing weddings at Turner Hill for years and she has gotten it down to a science. She's quick to respond to emails, she is eager to fulfill any and all requests and she is prepared to do what is necessary to make your big day run as smoothly as possible. It rained on our wedding day, and Carol and the staff at Turner Hill were able to coordinate an indoor ceremony for 200+ guests in the main ballroom, and then in a matter of hours prepare the same room for dessert and dancing. She is amazing.

As I mentioned before, it rained on our wedding day. For most brides, this would be an absolute nightmare. Thankfully this was not the case for me. Turner Hill is so elegant and beautiful on its own that the news that we would need indoor photos and ceremony were not a disappointment. I was most nervous about the weather at dinnertime as we planned to eat outside in the tent. It poured. The tent was so sturdy and insulated, that if it weren't for the claps of thunder and flashes of lightning, you would have never known that it was anything but a clear night.

I could ramble on for days about every flawless detail of our wedding day, but I will leave you with this; If you choose Turner Hill for your venue, you will not be let down. They are worth every red cent.

Turner Hill is a beautiful and unique reception site. We fell in love with it the second we walked in and were not disappointed. Carol and the staff were helpful and made sure everything went smoothly. Living in Vermont we were not able to meet as easily, but Carol was flexible and accommodating. During the reception, all the staff members were amazing! I never felt stressed because they were so on top of everything.

We cannot thank Carol enough for all her help in creating our dream wedding day at Turner Hill. From the first time I met her I knew we were in good hands. She goes far above and beyond the role of on-site coordinator.

We got married at a grand estate on a fairly tight budget and Carol worked with us every step of the way. She guided us on how to maximize our menu and minimize cost, and answered all of our questions promptly. We took her recommendation on our hotel, officiant, and baker and I could not be more pleased will the outcome of our wedding. We have received so many compliments about the beauty of Turner Hill and outstanding meal provided by Vinwood.

Turner Hill with Mrs. Travers at the helm is exceptional. From soup to nuts, Mrs. Travers was attentive, adaptive, and responsive. On the day of our rehearsal dinner, everything went off flawlessly. The food was delectable and the staff was very professional. Our 30+ guests are still raving about how this was a meal to remember!

Amazing venue and experience. The venue left my guests in awe and I'm still thinking about my magically day. Cheesy I know but I felt like a princess even though it only lasted 5 hours.

I fell in love with the Mansion on Turner Hill the second I saw it a couple of years before I was even engaged. When I got engaged I knew i wanted my wedding their. Turner Hill is picture perfect. We loved every second of our wedding and it is because of Turner Hill. Carol the wedding coordinator from Turner Hill was so very helpful. She did not miss one thing on our wedding day. She made the day perfect. The mansion speaks for itself because it is so beautiful. Driving up to the mansion it almost takes your breathe away. We did not use the tent we did everything inside. We got married inside the grand ballroom and had cocktail hr in the hallway and library. Our dinner was split between 2 rooms but it worked out perfect. Everyone in the other room didn't miss anything happening in the big room thanks to the staff. Vinwood was also amazing and the food was great. People are still talking about the wedding and the food.

Where do I begin? Turner Hill exceeded every expectation I had not only on my wedding day but in planning the day itself. Carol, the event coordinator, was incredible to work with. She was quick to respond, professional, and truly a resource for vendor suggestions and recommendations.
The venue itself is breathtaking - the outdoor space is something straight out of a fairy tale. Thankfully, the weather cooperated, and we were able to have our ceremony outside. The ceremony space indoors is gorgeous though, and would have made a perfect alternative.
Our wedding was at the end of September, so we were still able to use the tent for dinner. Do NOT write off the venue because of the word 'tent'! Go see it for yourself and be sure to look at the photo books Carol has so you can get a better understanding of the space. The 'tent' has a beautiful wood floor and is surprisingly elegant.
Then the dinner itself is AMAZING! Vinwood is the caterer for the venue and they do not disappoint. Everyone has said it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding! Having no choice in caterer is actually a blessing in disguise when the option available to you is as amazing as they are.
Vinwood staff was incredible, as well. Kristen really went above and beyond to help coordinate timing of the event and was a godsend at the end of the night - she had everything packed for us so it just has to be moved out! An amazingly huge detail that is never discussed and often forgotten - your things have to leave the venue somehow and having it all in one place and packed up was so so helpful.
All in all, our wedding day was perfectly executed and the staff and ambience at Turner Hill is the major component in its success. Thank you!!

The Mansion on Turner Hill was the PERFECT place to have our wedding. It was so elegant and people kept asking us how we found it!
We got married in August – so our dinner portion of the evening was in the tent that is connected to the mansion and dancing was in the ballroom. Our guests loved how there were two areas of our wedding and we were not in one place all night—not to mention, your guests have access to the whole first floor of the mansion!
Carol, the wedding coordinator at the mansion was truly amazing to work with. She was so professional and came up with some great suggestions for us as we continued down the wedding planning process path. She was open to our “new” ideas and easily accommodated for what we wanted. I can’t thank Carol enough for all of her work on our wedding.
Vinwood catering was also OUTSTANDING. Vinwood is the caterer for the mansion and they were on top of everything the night of our wedding and kept my husband and I in the loop on what time it was what still had to be done, etc. It was so helpful to have Kristin there helping us along the way that night, she did an amazing job.

I knew from the moment I first laid eyes on Turner Hill that it was the place I was going to be married. Carol was very warm and accommodating to all of our needs throughout our entire wedding process. She accommodated an additional tour for my mother in law who was unable to make it to our first meeting, allowed us to book two years early at an off season discounted rate, made sure my husband and I were set up with a catering tasting, she accommodated an open bar request we added on last minute, and she even took the time to answer my questions when she was on vacation ! Day of, everything ran perfectly. She had two separate ceremony spaces set up because it was a bit cloudy outside, and rain was a possibility. I am so lucky to have found Turner Hill, and would recommended this hidden gem to anyone looking to have an upscale wedding.

I honestly cannot think of a better place to have a wedding! My day was absolutely perfect, the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, the food, the drinks...EVERYTHING!!! Everyone at turner hill and who they conduct business with (vinwood) were top notch. The venue is so beautiful on its own that decorations are not even needed. Had the most beautiful June wedding at Turner Hill! Best experience with Carol, she was fantastic! The whole experience was stress-free, Carol had everything covered and anything I requested she made happen! The grounds, mansion, and tent were all stunning and I received so many compliments from my guests! It was a truly magical day! Would totally use them again if I needed to :)

We were so pleased that the Mansion on Turner Hill extended their winter rates all the way through the end of May this year, so that we could indulge in this exquisite venue. Not only are the grounds and architecture like something out of a fairy tale, but the venue provides you with a list of vendors that are most skilled at their crafts. This allowed the process to go very smoothly for us (especially considering that we had only 6 months to plan the wedding!) Carol, the coordinator, was there to answer any and all questions that we had. She was impeccably competent and a joy to work with. I can honestly say that the day of our wedding was seamless.

The Mansion stole our hearts from the moment we walked in. Elegance, class, stunning atmosphere and absolutely breathtaking for both our ceremony, and our reception. Our wedding coordinator, Carol, was amazing! Extremely responsive, sweet, patient and kind, helpful in every way possible, Carol made all our wishes come true. I would highly recommend using this venue for your wedding.

Our daughter was married on Saturday, 28 June, 2014. She and her husband along with @ 200 guests enjoyed the MOST memorable evening at the Mansion at Turner Hill in Ipswich!!! Everything was absolutely spectacular! Carol Travers was the wedding event planner, and we can only say magnificent things about her. She is very personable, knowledgeable, professional, etc. etc. She helped us through every decision regarding the wedding reception, and was extremely helpful with every detail of the evening. I would HIGHLY recommend The Mansion at Turner Hill as a spot for a very memorable wedding, and most definitely would recommend Carol Travers as the best wedding event planner ever~!!

Having our ceremony & reception at Turner Hill was like a fairytale! If you are looking for a breathtaking venue for your special day - look no further ! The difference with this venue compared to others in the area is you have the whole estate to yourself for the whole night . Other venues you can only use either outdoors or indoors, or there is another wedding taking place at the same time. This place has the "Wow factor " from the second you pull in and see it from a distance. The staff is magnificent, prompt and puts you at ease, the catering company they use ( Vinwood) is just as amazing, and you can't go wrong with the estate. If it's in your budget, this is the place !

I had my wedding at the Mansion and Turner Hill and it was nothing short of perfect. Turner Hill is an absolute must for anyone looking to have an elegant, classic and memorable venue. The Mansion itself is straight out of the Great Gatsby and needs absolutely no decorations or additional decor as everything is grand, tasteful and architecturally stunning. And when you book the venue, you have the use of the entire mansion, not just one boxy room. The grounds are on a golf course and the outdoor prayer garden will give you a serene garden setting for your ceremony. My guests were absolutely stunned by the beauty and grandeur of our venue and several remarked it was the best wedding venue that had ever been to.
Carol, the coordinator at Turner Hill, is the utmost professional and had every detail planned and organized. She is so calm and reassuring, a couple need not worry about any part of the wedding. She is very protective of the Mansion but never hesitates to offer suggestions on making the most of your event. A couple is in very competent and capable hands with Carol.

Words cannot describe how gorgeous The Mansion on Turner Hill is. I just had my wedding there and it was everything I could have asked for and more. The grounds and mansion are beautiful and impeccably maintained. I had friends describe it as "Beauty and the Beast" like. We just had our wedding at Turner Hill Mansion. When I tell you it was a dream come true, it comes from a genuine and grateful place. Carol Travers, was a fairy God Mother, making the whole experience easy, fun, and engaging. The grounds are kept in perfect condition, the tent is lovely with a teek dance floor, and the main ball room is open with refurnished wood floors, a vast fireplace and huge windows that open to a stone patio. Turner Hill was a gorgeous place to get married. Carol (the event coordinator) is a pro. She coordinates the day perfectly and knows exactly what is going on with everything at all times. It takes the stress off!

Turner Hill is breathtaking. Although its on a golf course, it might be one of the most romantic places to get married. Our ceremony was inside and was beautiful. The cocktail hour was held in the main ballroom and the reception was in the 3 season tent. Carol, the coordinator is such a professional, we didn't have to worry about a thing.

Our wedding at the Mansion on Turner Hill was on 8/24/2018, and everything was perfect! Carol, the coordinator was amazing to work with throughout the whole process, and our day-of coordinator Kristin was just as lovely. They truly made our day special.

The grounds of the mansion are perfect for a wedding, we lucked out with perfect weather and being able to use the patio for cocktail hour was great. The ceremony area was what made me choose this venue to begin with, it is breathtaking, and everyone loved the inside of the mansion. I was nervous with the flow of dinner in the tent and dancing inside, but it was not a problem at all! After dinner everyone moved inside quickly. The library hosted one of the bars, all of our desserts, and the photo booth so this room was a huge hit, and the dance floor is right near by as well.

Highly recommend Turner Hill as a venue, and highly recommend the staff, everyone was amazing to work with!

Turner Hill is the most gorgeous venue, and the staff are absolutely fantastic. I first fell in love with the place when we visited last December, which almost convinced me to plan a winter wedding instead of an autumn one — the decorations were stunning. Ultimately we stuck with fall, and it was beautiful. We had the ceremony onsite, and thankfully it was a beautiful autumn day and we were able to have it outside. However, the inside space is gorgeous as well, and I wouldn't have been that upset had the weather not cooperated!

Carol took over for our original wedding coordinator who changed jobs, but the transition was smooth and after reading all the reviews about Carol I felt very much at ease about the switch. She was responsive, informative, and clearly very experienced and knowledgable.

My wedding ended up being pretty small with some last-minute cancellations (total around 70 people – the minimum for Friday is 75). However, Carol worked with us and was able to accomodate changes to seating and the dining plan.

Not only is the space stunning, but you actually get quite a good value for the cost at Turner Hill, with access to the dining hall, bridal chamber, groom's room, library, and outside patio. They use Vinwood Catering (fantastic) which provides all the dining staff, bartenders, tables and chairs, linens, glassware etc etc... all details I did not want to deal with getting separately. It's really an all-inclusive venue.

I honesty can't think of anything I would change. The day went perfectly thanks to the staff at Turner Hill and Vinwood Caterers (which is a whole other 5 star review)!

One of the best weddings I have ever attended. Well run, great food, even better people. Not to mention the mansion is beautiful. Adds a great feel to the atmosphere!

We got married at Turner Hill on 9/20/19 and the day could not have been more perfect. We chose the Turner Hill because we loved the fact that the ceremony, dinner, and reception could each be held in different locations on the grounds, which kept it interesting for our guests, and even if the weather was bad, we wouldn't have been stuck in a tent all night. The grounds are absolutely GORGEOUS (the pictures online don't do it justice, so go visit ASAP!). We also loved that the mansion itself has such beautiful woodwork, art, marble, fire places, etc., that we didn't really have to do much decorating other than flowers. Carol, the event director at Turner Hill, has been in the business for a long time and had such a calming effect on both my husband's and my planning anxieties each time we met with her. She also gave such great advice about other vendors to hire -- there are several that work with Turner Hill frequently and therefore know exactly how everything is supposed to work. It made the rest of our planning process so much more seamless. Carol was also perfect in her "day-of" role, taking charge to get everyone lined up when the time came and making sure that traffic flowed smoothly throughout the night. Vinwood Catering is the exclusive caterer for Turner Hill, and they were SO FANTASTIC! (I've written a separate review for Vinwood, but here I'll just say that Kristin, the catering manager, was so attentive. She had appetizers ready for us in the bridal suite so we wouldn't go hungry if we didn't have time to eat our whole dinner, and offered great advice about how and when to greet guests to maximize our time). Our wedding day exceeded our expectations in every way, and we have Turner Hill to thank!

We got married last weekend at Turner Hill and loved every second of our day. Carol, our day-of coordinator, was so helpful and organized (plus she always had on the most stylish outfits - we love you Carol!). My mom and I really appreciated her attention to detail. In every meeting we had with her, Carol would take careful notes and review them continually leading up to the wedding. We knew we were in great hands.

The mansion itself is gorgeous. Throughout the day, you move from the gardens, to the outdoor cocktail hour, to the tent, and back into the mansion for dancing. Our guests loved the flow of the day and all the different spaces in the mansion to explore. We also enjoyed not having to worry about another wedding in the same venue - Turner Hill does not double book, you have the whole place to yourselves.

Another great thing about Turner Hill is the rain plan. If it rained (and it didn't on our day), I felt completely confident that the wedding would be just as beautiful. The rain plan is to get married in the mansion and have me (the bride) walk down the winding steps to the ballroom. Took a lot off my mind to know that weather was not a concern for my big day.

Last but not least was Vinwood caterers. I had heard they were the best catering company on the North Shore and they certainly lived up to our expectations. The food was phenomenal!!! Our guests raved about it. The Vinwood dining room manager, Kristin Smith, was such a professional and helped move the event along seamlessly. She kept us on track in terms of saying hi to all of the guest tables before dancing (and made sure we ate too!). The food was also timed perfectly. Not a bad note to be found. I will recommend Vinwood to all my friends and family.

Everything was wonderful! Everyone working at Turner Hill that day took my vision and turned it into reality! I wish I could relive that day all over again!

We fell in love with Turner Hill the minute we stepped on the grounds. Carol, our wedding coordinator was a true pleasure to work with through the entire planning process and beyond. She was prompt in responding to every little question I had along the way. Our ceremony was held in the gardens and then dinner in the tent with dancing in the mansion afterwards. We still receive so many compliments on the venue, the service and the food. Highly recommend Turner Hill - it is worth the investment.

Turner Hill helped make my wedding dreams come true. Carol, the wedding coordinator, is a veteran in the business and clearly knew what she was doing which made me feel beyond comfortable and confident everything would go smoothly, which it did! Kristin, the dining room manager was fabulous. She kept the night moving and let my husband and I know where we should be and when, without making us feel any pressure or getting hectic. Everything was so organized and the whole night flowed so nicely. The venue is gorgeous and people could not stop talking about how beautiful the setting was. It was a perfect day and the venue, Carol, Kristin and all staff helped make that happen!!!

We had our wedding at the Mansion at Turner Hill in July - our wedding was fairly large with 212 guests, and was indoor-outdoor. The Mansion, ceremony area, party tent, gardens and yard surrounding it are absolutely stunning. Everything is well maintained and clean (bathrooms, hallways etc.). Everyone commented on how beautiful the venue was. The setup is great - we had our ceremony outside, where there are benches for seating and we also added chairs for more seats (the benches seat I think about 150 guests) - the cocktail hour was in the ballroom, dinner was in the tent, and dancing was in the ballroom. There is so much space for the guests to roam around - those who want to talk in a more quiet spot can go to the library or Alabaster dining room - the dancers can stay in the ballroom - and also people can sit outside behind the mansion. Dessert was served as a buffet in the library. We also had a kids party simultaneously as the ceremony/dinner in the smoking room (groom's room) - it was so nice that Turner Hill was so accommodating so that the kids (16 of them - with 3 babysitters) could be taken care of just off the main party area so that their parents could enjoy the wedding.
Everything went fantastically and smoothly the day of the wedding. Prior to the wedding in the weeks before, Carol Travers, the wedding coordinator, was available to help out with all of our planning via email and phone. Initially it was a bit difficult (hence the 4.7/5 stars) getting in touch with her for looking at the venue and having some questions answered (emailed or called and didn't hear back for several days) - but once we were signed up, she was there to help us every step of the way and always quick to respond. She was calm and on the ball with every detail and everything went perfectly on our wedding day.

It is also worth noting that depending on the size of your guest list and the season, you may or may not have an indoor/outdoor wedding and/or the events may be held in different spaces of the mansion - this is something you would discuss with Carol when you go to see the venue. The great news is that if the weather is bad you can have the entire thing inside and the mansion is beautiful. While we were hoping for good weather and ended up with it, it is also safe and good to know you can have something completely inside if need be - you have a backup plan. Also, the price is very reasonable compared to other places in the area (i.e. Crane Estate - much more expensive and can't accommodate as large a wedding). Also, the mansion is air conditions, and the Crane Estate isn't - important when considering a summer wedding.

We recommend this venue very highly - it is truly beautiful.

We got married here on 8.14.09 and everything was PERFECT.

The venue itself is incredibly gorgeous and I loved the flexibility we had to have our wedding spread out (ceremony outside, cocktail hour on the patio, dinner in the tent, dessert and dancing inside the mansion) All of our guests loved it and couldn't believe we had the whole mansion for our wedding. The caterer they provide (can't remember name!) was AMAZING. The food was incredible, the service was very impressive, and they had a ton of options. They also recommended to me a florist who did a killer job, and not to mention the staff there did a great job. I thought the price was also fair - not cheap, but worth it, and actually cheaper than a few other venues that we looked at in the area.

Obviously - I was super impressed and would do it there again in a second and not change a thing!

Turner Hill is an incredibly magical venue. We knew from the second we visited that we wanted to get married there. It could not have been more of a dream for our vintage inspired winter wedding. Carol was very accommodating and flexible to all our our needs, questions, expectations and plans. Our guests are still talking about how amazing it was to hang out there for a night. Turner Hill is not just a wedding venue, it is truly a romantic and historical experience. One for the history books! Absolute killer venue. I highly recommend Turner Hill for those who may want to have a more unique wedding.

Turner Hill was an absolutely beautiful location. The whole day my guests kept commenting on how they felt like they were in a page from the novel, The Great Gatsby. It was a perfect location for an outdoor wedding with an indoor reception. The only thing is that they only have one catering option, which I would have liked to stray from.

Turner Hill is an amazing place to get married. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great estate environment, with a charming outdoor ceremony site. Last summer the mansion was updated and I was delighted with how they preserved the historic quality and added modern ammenities (ie. new bathrooms!). A must see.

I absolutely love Turner Hill. We had our wedding there this past September and it's a gorgeous, timeless venue. What I like most about the venue is how you have access to the entire property--something I realized was quite rare after visiting other estates. The mansion itself is gorgeous, as is the tent (where we had dinner due to size of our guest count--we had about 185 people). I love that dancing happens inside the mansion ballroom too--it makes it extra special.

Carol was amazing, but as others have noted, I did feel she was hard to get hold of at times. She is a one-woman show however, so I was patient, understanding she probably had multiple weddings every weekend leading up to ours since it's peak season. The only other hiccup that occurred was many of our decorations ended up being tossed by cleaning. There was a miscommunication as to what was ours and what was our hired vendors.

I highly recommend Turner Hill. People were blown away by its beauty and amazed such a hidden gem was in Ipswich (especially when everyone thinks of Crane Estate as the only mansion in town). My only caveat for future brides/grooms is to consider the size of this venue. As I mentioned before, there is A LOT of ground to cover since you have access to the entire mansion, which means a lot of decorations (flowers, candles and/or whatever other details you might want to include). I was excited for the challenge and the outcome is definitely worth the work, but it can certainly be overwhelming during the planning process.

My husband and I got married this past July, 2018. The venue is absolutely stunning and very accommodating to any needs. We were able to use the mansion and the tent for our wedding of 150. We worked with outside vendors to coordinate our very special day. If you are looking for a venue that is more hands on with your planning then Turner Hill may not be for you. Carol, our coordinator, responded to our questions but was at times confusing or unhelpful. Since we were willing to put in the work for our day it was well worth it. Kristin the catering manager was INCREDIBLE on the day of the wedding. Not only did she fix my bustle, wish me luck down the aisle, or have gluten free cupcakes ready for my best friend's birthday but she also made sure her staff was on point and solved all the small hiccups that arose. Overall, with the work we put in to coordinate our wedding, Turner Hill was an absolute dream place for our amazing day!

My husband and I got married at Turner Hill over Labor Day Weekend. It is a beautiful wedding venue, and we and our guests all had a wonderful time! The garden is a gorgeous setting for a ceremony, the tent is lovely, and the mansion’s ball room is a great setting for dancing. It’s also nice that you get to use the entire first floor of the mansion. Additionally, Vinwood was easy to work with, and the food was all delicious! That said, I found communicating with the venue coordinator via email somewhat challenging. This may just be because of my style, as I am super detail-oriented and wanted to be more proactive in my planning than she seemed to be. More importantly, there was a breakdown in communication somewhere between the venue coordinator, dining room manager, and staff, resulting in items of sentimental value to us being thrown away off the dinner tables, along with some of our guests’ wedding favors and a guest’s medication. This was disappointing given the effort we’d put into these wedding details, and left us with a slightly bad taste from the experience.

Turner Hill is breathtaking, let me say. It was the perfect venue for our wedding. The ceremony outdoor space is green and gorgeous, the tent is so classy and has flooring and chandeliers on dimmers, and the mansion is spectacular. Our guests raved about our venue. However, our experience with the coordinator, Carol, was less than spectacular. Take my advice- if you are planning on getting married here hire a wedding planner.

In the months leading up to our wedding- I reached out to the coordinator. She did not once initiate an email unless is was payment related. I felt like I was just another bride and just another wedding in her laundry list of other brides and weddings.
Fast forward to our rehearsal dinner. The AC was turned off in the mansion and my 88 year old grandma was going to have a heart attack. She rushed up through the entire rehearsal, and once she lined us up, she basically said to the rabbi "ok you finish up". I would hardly call this coordinating. The whole thing was rushed.

The wedding day- when we arrived to the mansion she barked at me and the bridal party for having champagne in the suite. She lined up everyone for the ceremony and then the next time I saw her was legit when she came up to me in the middle of the wedding to tell me everything needs to be cleaned up by 9am the next day...um excuse me??

She did not check on us at all during the wedding, the catering coordinator did all that. Also, we had a band and I saw them waiting in line for the buffet. I was livid, our coordinator should have pulled them out of line to eat first. Our photographer never ate.
Carol left in the middle of our wedding. I found out from the florist she was going to come tell me that our chuppah needs to be taken down and the florist begged her not to bother me, our florist ended up taking it down early in the am.

We have yet to receive a "congrats" email. Radio silence...

Moral of the story- hire a wedding planner if you get married here!!!

We loved our venue - soooo beautiful. The day ended up being pretty perfect. However, I would say that we wanted a few changes from what Turner Hill was used to which caused a little friction, but in the end we were able to get it and it all worked out!
