    Dream wedding!

    We are so happy we chose The Majestic as our wedding venue. Everything about the experience was amazing, and we truly couldn’t have done it without Ashton. She was so helpful, responsive, and accommodating every step of the way.

    No matter what we needed or asked, Ashton was always quick to reply and made the whole planning process feel easy and stress-free. She genuinely cared about helping us create our dream wedding, and it really showed.

    Our day was so special that we honestly wish we could turn back time just to relive the moment all over again. We’re so grateful for everything she did for us. Highly recommend The Majestic and working with Ashton.

    A Truly Timeless & Magical Wedding Venue

    We had our wedding at The Majestic Downtown on October 10, 2025 and it was truly the perfect venue!! The space is absolutely beautiful- timeless, grand, and full of character. The high ceilings and historic charm made the entire day feel elegant and classic. We loved being able to have our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in one place without it ever feeling crowded.

    The open floor plan gave us so much freedom to design the space exactly how we wanted. The bridal suite was also a huge highlight- getting ready there with my bridesmaids was such a fun experience and having a separate grooms suite was a great bonus. The venue truly set the tone for a day that felt magical, timeless, and classy.

    Our coordinator, Ashton, was absolutely incredible and played such a huge role in making our day stress-free!! She handled EVERYTHING- communicating with vendors, staying organized, keeping the timeline on track, and making sure every detail was covered. She is punctual, professional, and truly on top of things. Because of Ashton, I felt calm and supported throughout the entire process. She carried herself with such confidence and grace and it made all the difference. If you’re considering The Majestic Downtown and working with Ashton, I couldn’t recommend them more. Our day was everything we dreamed of and more 🤍

    Exceptional

    I recently planned a wedding at The Majestic Downtown, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. The venue itself is stunning and offers a level of character and flexibility that makes designing an event there truly seamless.

    I also want to highlight Ashton, who was an absolute pleasure to work with. She is organized, responsive, and consistently stayed one step ahead during the planning process. On the event day, she made sure everything ran smoothly and was incredibly supportive with any last-minute needs. Her professionalism and calm demeanor made a real difference.

    As a wedding planner, I work with many venues across Los Angeles, and The Majestic Downtown, along with Ashton’s partnership, stands out as one of the best experiences I’ve had. I look forward to working together again.

    Charm and beauty

    We had our wedding at The Majestic two weeks ago and truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The venue itself is stunning—full of old-school charm with a timeless, elegant feel. The Reserve is such a cool, unique space that added so much character to our day. Our guests are still talking about how memorable and different the location was!

    But hands down, the best part of our entire wedding experience was Ashton. She manages The Majestic and also runs her own coordination business—which we hired her for (and highly recommend you do too!). Ashton is the definition of professional: responsive, organized, calm under pressure, and incredibly knowledgeable. She knows The Majestic better than anyone else and somehow manages multiple large-scale events weekly without skipping a beat.

    She was so supportive of all our ideas, helped us explore vendors, and introduced us to people who knew the space well—which made a huge difference. Everything looked beautiful and went off without a hitch, all thanks to her!

    We truly can’t recommend The Majestic and Ashton enough. If you’re considering this venue for your next event—do it!

    The most amazing wedding venue, amazing team, stunning and unique!

    The Majestic Downtown was a dream for us! This was such a unique venue with beautiful history and architecture, and a blank slate for us to add decor but so beautiful it didn't need much. Not only that, but Ashton and the rest of the team were so responsive, understanding, and really went above and beyond for us. When the wedding stress hit and we needed a support and advocate, Ashton was there to make the whole process run smoothly! We are so thankful for her and The Majestic for making our day so special and perfect!

    The Best Venue Coordinator

    Five out of five stars to the venue and especially to our spectacular venue director Ashton! We are so glad we went with the Majestic since it perfectly fit our dream of an elegant and unique venue where we could celebrate and create unforgettable memories with our family and friends.     Amazing Wedding Venue

    We are so happy that we chose this venue for our wedding in early July. We were looking for a venue that had a "old Hollywood" vibe and would speak for itself. It did just that - and more! The venue is so incredibly stunning in person - the pictures do not do it justice.

    Moreover, we loved working with the team at the Majestic, especially Ashton, who we also chose as our wedding coordinator. She is incredibly professional, thoughtful, and kind. We felt that she was honest with us throughout the process, which made working with outside vendors much easier. Despite how busy the Majestic is, she always made time for us and made us feel appreciated and special - not like we were just another event on the calendar. Her team was also lovely and we enjoyed working with everyone on staff. So happy we went with this venue and group!

    Dream Wedding

    Getting married at the Majestic will forever be the most cherished memory of ours. This venue has so much old Hollywood charm and character; everyone was in awe of how beautiful the space is. We loved every minute of it! The space was not only beautiful but the service provided was also amazing. I can’t thank Ashton, their event director enough for the help that she gave us. She made the whole process very smooth and got back to us quickly whenever we had a question. Planning a wedding is very stressful so I was super thankful to have been able to work with their kind and helpful staff like her. I highly recommend that everyone should get married here if they want a memorable historical venue with awesome staff!

    The Majestic

    Our dream wedding truly came to life at The Majestic! My husband & I still can't believe we were lucky enough to host our wedding day there, it was everything we dreamed of. ASHTON was a pleasure to work with, she is amazing and very professional. She made sure everything went smoothly and was there for us every step of the way, and was so grateful for her work and professionalism. I seriously did not have to worry about anything because she communicated with my vendors and made sure everything went smoothly the day of our wedding. She was always in constant communication with me, and checked on me through the whole planning which put my anxious mind at ease throughout the wedding planning process.

    10/10 BEST Wedding Venue

    The Majestic was the only venue we viewed for our September Wedding, and one step inside was all it took to know this was the place for us. Ashton did an AMAZING job walking us through all of the history and showing us the beauty of the venue, and even showed us some nods to movies that had been filmed there (ask about Batman) She was our Coordinator as well and when i tell you I have never been to a wedding that had run so smoothly, the fact that it was ours, made it SO much better. Months later we still get so many compliments on the venue, the staff, and just everything. Ashton and her whole team were super professional and made our wedding of our dreams a reality!

    Wedding of our dreams!

    When my wife and I were looking for the perfect place to have our dream wedding I don’t think we ever imagined we would find a place as perfect as the Majestic. From our first glance we knew it was the spot. Ashton was always available and responsive from the day we inquired through the day we said I do (and even after). The incredible ambiance and open setup made our wedding day truly special. The feedback we’ve received from guests was “wedding of the century”. Could not be any happier. Thank you Ashton and Majestic for a truly magical experience!

    Wedding of our dreams!

    My husband and I had the most spectacular wedding at the most beautiful venue. It was and still is the wedding of our dreams and if I could do it all over again I 100% would! The venue coordinator, Ashton, was so helpful and made herself available to us pretty much whenever we needed. She offered recommendations for vendors and any other assistance we needed for our big day. She was thoughtful and you could really tell she cared about each of her couples and their experience. So big thank you to Ashton for making our experience so effortless and amazing!

    The wedding of our dreams

    We are so thankful to Ashton and her team for all of their advice and support throughout the wedding planning process! They were flexible and really helped make the entire process so easy. From helping us find a wedding planner and vendor recs to even helping us capture some really precious memories from the day of the wedding, I would 100% recommend this venue to anyone looking for a gorgeous historic space for their next special event!

    We love the Majestic!

    We had a wonderful experience hosting our wedding at this absolutely gorgeous venue. Ashton, who was our contact at the venue, was experienced, knowledgeable and very easy to work with. She made our experience very enjoyable and was there to help answer our questions every step of the way. Our guests were blown away by how beautiful the venue was and the whole weekend was a dream. We couldn't be happier the Majestic and highly recommend for any Southern California wedding.

    Beautiful Venue!!

    What a beautiful venue and shout out to Aston for helping to make our wedding day special. The venue speaks for itself, our wedding was an old Hollywood vibe and was exactly the look we were going for, do keep in mind that this is a blank canvas so if you want to create a certain look you can make it happen. There are lots of things you can do with this space so fill it up! Aston was fantastic, enthusiastic and super easy to work with, she was always available and went out of her way to make sure our day was special. If you do decide to go with this venue for a wedding, I would recommend working with the vendor recommendations. It helps when the vendors are familiar with the venue.

    I had a dream wedding!

    The Majestic was the perfect location for our wedding day! Everyone was in awe of the beautiful historical architecture. 95% of our guests traveled from other states and they were completely mesmerized by the history of the building and all of the iconic movies that have been filmed there. It was an unforgettable experience for everyone and the best day of our lives! Majestic truly lives up to its name.

    An Unforgettable DTLA Wedding Venue with Amazing People!

    From the start, my fiancé (now husband :P) and I knew we wanted our wedding in DTLA. A city spent a LOT of time in when we first started dating! It made sense to celebrate our wedding here and make it a full circle thing. With our wedding, our goal was to make it an amazing event - to ensure we really showhow magical the city can be to our family, friends and other loved ones. When we found The Majestic - we knew this was it! Not only was it located in a prime location, but it also was able to accommodate several hundred people (we have a huge guest list) AND it is SO GORGEOUS!! Honestly, pictures do not do it justice.

    In the times we live in now, an amazing vendor team and venue team is so important. With regard to who we worked with from the venue - her name is Ashton. She's the Majestic's Sales and Events Director. You guys, she is SOOOO great to work with. And seriously - even our other vendors raved about her. Always professional, helpful, tentative and kind. We were really taken care of by her.

    When our wedding came (1/1/2022) it was better than I could've imagined. The night was SO dreamy, we got so much great feedback from even the hardest critics in our families and friends on the vibe, how everything went seamlessly.. just everything!

    I recommend any couple to take a tour as soon as you believe having a city wedding is your vision! I'm sure bookings are happening fast. If you're able to secure a date for this epic place, rest assured you're in good hands with The Majestic & Ashton :-)

    Magnificent

    This is truly one of the greatest wedding venues around Los Angeles. we had the pleasure of working with Ashton who is in charge of the venue and she made the process very easy and made sure that our wedding was an amazing experience for everyone involved. She also was our day of coordinator which allowed us to really enjoy the day and make sure that the wedding was exactly what we wanted and envisioned. Ashton cared about our day as if it were her own wedding. We have no negative remarks at all the venue and Ashton where five star. I would recommend the venue and Ashton to anyone that asked me about the Majestic.

    Our Dream Venue

    The Majestic was our absolute dream wedding venue! We booked this venue without having seen it person and we could have not been more awed once we did. This venue is perfect if you want your ceremony and reception together in one place like we did. Not only was this venue everything we could have wanted but Ashton, the venue director as well as our DOC, was such a pleasure to work with. She made our special day and weeks leading up to it, so unforgettable! She carried out our vision and with no friction at all.

    Beautiful Venue

    The Majestic was everything I could have asked for and more. Beautiful venue, different from all the other cookie cutter banquet halls you see but still reasonably priced. They give you the flexibility to really make it your own with a beautiful canvas. Ashton Alvarado the event director was amazing. She accommodated us and really was so easy to work with. The majestic is a venue whether you want to go all out or if you want to be slightly budget minded but in a beautiful setting. The guests could not stop raving about the location and ambiance.

    Dream Venue

    The Majestic is a spectacular venue. The vintage architecture created the perfect backdrop for both our ceremony and reception. Our guests really enjoyed themselves and there was plenty of space to get creative; we had a fantastic cocktail hour up on the mezzanine and created an arcade in the space under the stairs. We also can' t say enough about how wonderful and easy it was to work with Ashton. She's a pro through and through. She is helpful, kind, responsive and on top of everything.

    So beautiful!

    I came to see this venue and I absolutely loved it! It’s a big open space and there’s so much you can do to have a grand and beautiful wedding there. Unfortunately I didn’t choose this place just because of the location. I didn’t want my guests to be stuck in the traffic.

    Loved The Majestic!


    We visited quite a number of locations before visiting The Majestic and as soon as we walked in, we knew we wanted to have our wedding there! It's magical, historic, and unique compared to many of the weddings we've been to over the years. The exact qualities we were looking for.

    Working with Ashton only amplified how amazing The Majestic is. From a wedding planning standpoint, we had some difficulties and challenges. Ashton was one of the few people that went above and beyond to help us get over those hurdles. We are very grateful to have met her and worked with her!

    The MOST beautiful venue to have the wedding in LA!

    Majestic Downtown was the one and only venue, my husband and I visited. The moment we booked an appointment with Ashton I was so excited to see the venue. The chandeliers are absolutely GORGEOUS! I am a big fan of chandeliers and I have never seen this many chandeliers that are so pretty.

    We had to choose Majestic without any hesitation or doubt. It was the BEST decision we made!

    From booking the venue to having everything set up - Ashton was extremely helpful. She is very fast at responding and was able to answer all the questions I have. I am very picky and make sure I ask A LOT of questions and she was able to address everything for me. As a bride, you tend to forget a lot about vendors and venue - but Ashton was able to make sure I'm on time on everything.

    Our wedding turned out BEAUTIFUL! It was the wedding I have been dreaming of. Our guests were in awe of how beautiful the venue was! The chandeliers and the stairs are my absolute favorite from the venue.

    Thank you Ashton for making our wedding the way we always wanted & for being so helpful!

    If you want to have a memorable and dream wedding, you have to visit Majestic and have your wedding here! You will regret it if you don't!

    Stunning venue with a great staff

    My wife and I just officially tied the knot at The Majestic Downtown after being together for 11 years, and we’re still in awe with how amazing our wedding day was. We were engaged for two years prior to our actual wedding, so we had plenty of time to locate our dream venue. Visiting The Majestic early in the process made this an easy decision as we instantly fell in love with this beautiful venue. There are literally no words to describe just how stunning this venue is, from the detailed ceilings to the marvelous chandeliers, this is the PERFECT wedding venue. Literally every single guest marveled at how beautiful the venue is, and we’re still receiving non-stop compliments a full 2 weeks later. The name of the venue truly describes its exquisiteness. For couples on a budget (like we were), this is the perfect location because the venue itself is so stunning. We added drapery and lighting to give our day a special touch, but the venue alone is a great starting point (opposed to an outdoor location or empty hall, in which you’re essentially starting with a blank slate).

    Lastly, we couldn’t leave a review without mentioning how AMAZING the venue manager is. Ashton Alvarado was a true joy to work with from the day we meet her, nearly 2 years before our actual wedding. Ashton was extremely responsive to every email, text and call as if this was her own wedding. From helping put together the floorplan/diagram to full vendor coordination, she truly went above and beyond in every aspect. Her passion, positive energy and calm demeanor brought so much ease to my wife and I, and we we’re so extremely grateful for her assistance throughout the entire planning process. Words can’t describe how critical she was to the success of our dream wedding, and we’re forever thankful for her making our dream wedding a reality.

    Overall, if you’re looking for an indoor venue in the Los Angeles area that will have your guests in awe, I highly suggest looking no further than The Majestic. Not only is this venue a true gem, Ashton Alvarado will do everything in her power to make your dream wedding a reality. THANK YOU!!!!

    The best venue

    There are no words to describe how beautiful this venue is. After seeing an Instagram picture I was sold, evermore so when I actually stepped foot into the venue. The architecture is like nothing I've seen for wedding venue. Every guest continues to message us about how extraordinary the venue was. If you do choose to work with the Majestic, you will be blessed with one of the best venue managers, Ashton. She worked with us for about a year and a half bending over backwards to make sure we were taken care of. She even came in on the weekends to meet with us due to our hectic work schedules.

    Great Experience

    Me and my husband had our wedding here a few days ago and the venue is absolutely gorgeous. We worked with Ashton who was extremely sweet, helpful, and pleasant to work with during our planning process :) She provided us with all the important information requirements, and guidelines as well as a list of preferred vendors to help with planning. She worked closely with my wedding planner to ensure everything worked out well on my wedding day. Would highly recommend the place and working with Ashton!!!

    Amazing and Professional

    We got married here 11/02/18 and this venue is EVERYTHING ! It’s gorgeous, beautiful and historic. The possibilities here were never ending.

    Now in planning our wedding we were very lucky to be blessed with the director of the venue ASHTON who went above and beyond with helping us.
    She was always available for us to answer our never ending questions, letting us show the venue to our numerous vendors and even more on a personal note always assuring me that our wedding will be GORGEOUS and not to worry when I would vent to her on how stressed I was.
    I can never thank her enough for always greeting us with LOVE.

    I had my wedding June 2018 for 280 people, but with the help of Ashton ran so smoothly. I went to 13 different venues before I found this gem of a place. I made an appointment and NO other venue could compare, I saw it and thought "HOW PERFECT" from the details in the ceiling to the 2 bridal suites, it all looked perfect. So, we placed a deposit, set the date, and from then on Ashton made sure that everything was running smoothly, even before we hired her as our wedding planned. We booked the venue March 2017 and I was so excited. Our wedding planner had to quit and Ashton accepted our offer. My mom already did most of the work since there was only about 4 months left until the wedding. Ashton still did so much to make sure our day was perfect. Closer to the wedding she handled all of the vendors and helped with the setting of the church AND venue. She made sure that my husband and I had time for photos, alone time, guest time - everything, she made it all possible, I didn’t break a sweat. ASIDE, from all of that, she came to the hotel room early and made sure the wedding party, myself, and my husband ate before the event. She created an entire itinerary of the day so we would NOT be rushed or forget anything and let me tell you, she followed it and so did our EMCEE. Guest would tell me "I have never seen a bride so calm and controlled" and i would reply "it’s because i have the best wedding planner and emcee." Even my mother was able to just mingle with the guest and party with friends and family - she NEVER has time to do that because she is the one always doing everything. I could not have been any happier and in love with how the venue turned out for the wedding, it was stunning. I don't know what else to say. My guests were in awe, i was in awe, my husband was in awe. EVERYONE said that the venue was perfect and it was. NOT ONE SINGLE COMPLAINT.     5's across the board; SERIOUSLY! Having my wedding here was one of the best decisions my husband and I made throughout our wedding planning. We always talk about how lucky we were to snag such an awesome place. Just a bit of background, we got married on 03/24/18 and had both reception and ceremony here. This was actually our second venue to look at and boy, we were lucky to not look around anymore. My husband is a picky person who is very particular about how things look. The second he sees something he doesn't like, he immediately stops giving it a chance and isn't interested anymore. The second he saw this place, he was amazed at how beautiful the architecture was, how big the space was, and loved the design of the ceiling. He told me, "I think this is it." He loved the vintage feel to it. As for me, I loved it at first sight, being amazed at the same things. When Ashton, the Director of Film and Event Sales, gave us more information about the space, it was an easy yes for us to have our wedding here. We loved the fact that it could fit the amount of guests we were accommodating, which was 240. Also, we loved how we had access to the venue on our wedding day for the full day (8am-2am). Being that our wedding started at 4pm, it gave vendors enough time to set up, load, and take down at the end of the night. Another thing we loved was having access to the whole place. Our guests could walk around and explore the venue. Also gave them many opportunities to take pictures, which I saw a lot of on social media. Every corner was a perfect place to take a picture. We also loved the fact that we didn't have to decorate the venue much. You cannot outdo this beautiful place. We also loved working with Ashton. She was flexible, always open to answering our questions in a timely manner, and was professional. Helped us in whatever way she could. Very easy to talk to and very sweet as a person. We are so pleased with everything about this venue. It was a dream!

    We visited and researched countless places for our wedding reception (October 2017), but none hit the mark on what we wanted, until we found The Majestic, Downtown.
    Talk about finding a hidden gem! You would never think it by just looking at the outside. I guess it’s true what they say, never judge a book by its cover. The venue itself is stunning and as my wife says, “has good bones” which allowed us to customize things how we exactly wanted it. Very spacious to fit our 200+ guest count comfortably, without feeling like we were swimming. Multiple parking lots around the venue, so guests didn’t have an issue. They offer different levels of in-house catering and bar packages or they allow you to buy-out the caterer and/or bar.
    We used the in-house caterer and bought out the bar. We had a tasting with the caterer prior to pulling any triggers to make sure we liked the food they were offering. The food was great! We dealt with Jerry, who was very accommodating and allowed us to fine tune/customize the menu to our liking. The bar-buyout meant that we had to provide everything: alcohol, mixers, sodas, water, cups, bartenders, garnishes, straws, ice (venue has an ice machine you can rent) etc. We knew this, so it wasn’t a surprise.
    The Events Director, Ashton, was extremely nice and helpful throughout the whole process. She had excellent communication and responds to text/phone calls in a timely manner. She is super flexible and allowed us to visit the venue as many times as we needed to discuss layout/details, meet with venders etc.
    Overall, an AMAZING experience at The Majestic. Would recommend to anyone who wants something a little different than your standard wedding.

    Finding a wedding venue in Los Angeles is not an easy task. It needs to represent your personality, your style…and meet your budget requirements. We took one look at The Majestic Downtown, and knew it was perfect.

    Ashton, the Events Director at The Majestic, was AMAZING. She was so welcoming, helpful, and gracious. I couldn’t have asked for a better partner in planning my wedding. Being the anal-retentive perfectionist that I am, she graciously allowed me numerous visits to measure, re-measure, walk around, and be inspired. She provided plans for electric and measurements, and gave me checklists to help navigate the legalities and paperwork that comes with throwing a wedding. She returned calls promptly, and answered all of my questions. She made me feel like mine was the only wedding being planned….when I know that’s not the case. She proudly showed off the space like a new child, and did whatever she could to make me feel comfortable.

    A former bank headquarters, it’s floor to ceiling marble and elegance. Large, open spaces, beaded chandeliers throughout, with high hand-painted ceilings. We had been looking for something unique, a place that was special and different. You enter the space to see a grand staircase that leads up to the mezzanine. There’s a large hall to the left, which is where we had our ceremony, and later converted it to the dance area. There’s a larger area to the right which is where we had the dinner and reception. The entire area was decorated simply with lighting and flowers. Really didn’t need much more than that. the space itself is glorious. The Majestic is beautiful on it’s own. I wouldn’t hesitate for a moment to have another wedding at The Majestic….but I don’t plan on that happening.

    The Majestic Halls is a gorgeous gem hidden in the middle of downtown LA. I was lucky enough to find this treasure while scouting venues for my wedding. I had the pleasure of having my wedding reception here in March 2012. One of the things that make this venue so unique is all the detail and history in the architecture. It has also been updated with modern amenities such as a new state of the art kitchen. There is a plethora of detail from the original bank vaults that provide excellent backdrops for exceptional pictures. The space is huge and can accommodate big parties with many different options for layout.
    The icing on the cake for this venue is Ashley who is charge of this beautiful location. She is professional and full of great ideas. She made my wedding seamless and perfect; words cannot express how amazing it was to work with her for the past year. She went above and beyond the call of duty to make my day extra special.

    The Majestic Halls was our wedding venue. Ashley was the person in charge of it. Ashley not only has to deal with wedding in the majestic hall, but she also has to take care of people filming the halls and showing the halls to all kinds of visitors. Lots to do for one girl. She is in charge of the halls, but she still has to get permission from her boss about many things. Her boss is always flying around, so we had to wait about two weeks until we can hear back from her that we could use The Majestic Halls for our wedding. The wait was totally worth it.

    Before our wedding, we went back to the Majestic halls a couple of times to try on some décor in the hall. We also had a couple of meetings with our caterer and photographers in the hall. Ashley always welcomed us to stop by even when she had appointments in the halls. There is no other wedding venue that will let you visit so often and spend so much time inside to decorate. On our wedding day, Ashley helped us so much and we were very thankful.

    The building was so beautiful. There were so many details to look at. It is a very new venue for weddings, and so there were a bit of problems. Mainly there was no AC. The air wasn’t bad until our guests started dancing. The bride’s room and groom’s room wasn’t very clean. There was no changing room in the bride room because people from the outside can see right inside at you. The bride’s restroom was very small and had no water.

    All these are small problems and we think they will fix it all soon to become an even better wedding venue. If we had to choose again for our wedding venue, we would still choose The Majestic Halls.

    Awesome venue and great staff

    We absolutely love The Majestic. The venue is elegant, sophisticated and exactly what we wanted for our wedding reception. We received a ton of compliments on the venue and it’s beauty.
    Ashton was incredibly supportive and helpful through the whole process. She made herself available to us for all of questions and helped us a ton. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for an wedding or event space

    We Had the Perfect Wedding Here

    We recently had our wedding here after having to postpone it due to the coronavirus. It was only the second venue we looked at and our search ended with The Majestic.

    I found the venue before I hired a wedding planner and dealt with Ashton myself for about a month, and she was very helpful and accommodating. She made herself available to any inquiries we had. Once I hired a wedding planner, he was in direct contact with her on my behalf. And as you can imagine, during COVID there were lots of questions and concerns, and Ashton was always very responsive and knowledgeable.

    We thank you so much, Ashton. Thanks to Ashton and Dan of Creative Happens, I dare say my husband and I had a perfect wedding here. We, and our guests, cannot say more about the magnificence of this venue. We all had thee best time!!!

    Gorgeous venue, amazing staff

    The Majestic was the 2nd venue my husband and I visited. We had 4 in total we planned on visiting but after seeing The Majestic, the hunt was over for me. Although we visited during the set up of a Samsung event, I could easily envision a beautiful and elegant night for my own wedding reception. Even with the building of another corporate event going on, the chandeliers and the architecture of the building alone made The Majestic be on the top of my venue choices. Pictures online are pretty but after seeing the venue for myself, I was in awe. And remember, there was some stuff going on during my initial visit, but it was still SO beautiful.
    I had favorite vendors and mind and used several of The Majestic's preferred vendors. All of my vendors enjoyed working the site and said they had no issues. I believe a lot of this has to do with with th work of my wedding planner, Jenny from Valentine, and Ashton from The Majestic. Ashton made everything SO simple. I really appreciated the ease in communication with prompt replies throughout the process of planning for 6 months.
    On the night of, one of the first of many compliments were about the venue's chandeliers and the ornate ceiling. Our guests continued to rave about the details of the wedding and the venue throughout the night and there after.
    I wouldn't have changed anything about my wedding. I couldn't thank Ashton enough for making the process so easy for me and my husband.

    Perfect Downtown Venue

    The Majestic was the perfect venue for our downtown wedding, especially with as many guests as we had! Ashton, the venue coordinator, was SO helpful and eager to work with us, even touring vendors for me if I couldn't make it that day. Cannot gush enough about her! Guests loved the classy vibe, the mezzanine, the architecture. Was so glad we chose the Majestic!

    My husband and I had our December 2017 wedding at the Majestic Downtown. Our main point of contact for most of the planning process was Ashton. Despite the fact that we planned our wedding from across the country, only having visited the venue in person a handful of times, we felt that Ashton was very responsive, always getting back to us in a timely manner, and always very polite. We did experience a post-wedding misunderstanding on our part, but still Ashton and her team were responsive and very willing to assist us on the matter. The venue itself is beautiful; it is mostly a blank, open space. We especially appreciated the gold, detailed ceiling and the beaded chandeliers. The lighting is quite dim, especially in the evenings, but it lends to a very romantic atmosphere. Another good feature is the ability to have the space to yourself for the entire day. This really helps with set up and break down time for vendors. While the venue sits in the middle of Downtown Los Angeles, once inside you do not hear the outside noise, especially once music is playing. The feedback we received from our guests was all positive in terms of the venue and overall experience. We would definitely recommend that others consider the Majestic!

    I don't have enough good things to say about Majestic Halls as a venue and most especially the service I got from the in-house caterer and his staff, Silver Service Events. My husband and I had a huge wedding that was beyond what we could afford, however my MIL insisted that the entire family attend. Luckily enough, she was the one who was willing to pay some of our costs, but she was adamant about us having a magnificent venue. My concern was having enough food, and making sure the food was good. So after hearing great things from Silver Service Events at Majestic we went for a tasting and we were blown away. Jerry was super accommodating. If I had asked for the hardest food you could find, he would have gone and found it for me. Instead I asked for a few traditional Asian dishes and some American favorites to accommodate our family’s taste buds….not only did he have everything ready and waiting, he gave me options and even made sure to meet my price after I freaked out about how many people we needed to feed. I would have given the entire experience a perfect score, but I was not completely happy with the air conditioning scenario at the venue. They do warn you that they didn’t have AC, but they did try to compromise by providing us with a portable AC unit. I was told that they were fixing that problem so future brides will probably not even have to worry about that during the warmer season. The venue itself is so beautiful…I received tons of compliments about how different it was since I didn’t have my wedding at a beach or at a country club. And my coordinator at the time was so sweet….and whatever she couldn’t handle Jerry and his staff made sure I didn’t have to do anything but sit there and look pretty. It was the wedding of the century from what I was told and Jerry made it all happen for me! If you’re a bride who treasures honest service and a commitment to your happiness, I would trust Jerry above anybody to make your dream wedding come true.

    Terrible management

    My husband and I had our wedding here recently, and unfortunately, this is not a venue I would recommend to any couple that is venue scouting for their special day. First, it’s important to know that choosing a venue like the Majestic will require a lot of work. The venue space is beautiful and has potential. But again, you have to do a lot of work to bring the beauty of the space alive. For example, hiring an outside lighting company is a necessity because the Majestic’s lighting is extremely dark and is of poor quality.
     
    Reasons I would not recommend the venue: the management company does not care about your event, even if it is a special event like a wedding. A lot of things went wrong the night of our wedding, which could have been avoided had management been on top of these issues. First, there was a simultaneous event at The Reserve, which shares an address with The Majestic and is jointly managed. We were not informed in advance that there would be an event, particularly around cocktail hour when our guests first began to arrive. The club-goers were using our valet line, which slowed down service. They were unfortunately also loitering in front of The Majestic entrance and harassing our wedding guests. Our security guards had to escort several of our guests inside because they did not feel comfortable outside of the building. If we were told in advance that this event would occur around the same time as our wedding, we would have taken additional security measures.

    Second, the club’s bass was so loud during our cocktail hour that The Majestic floors were shaking from the event. We hired a lovely harpist to play at cocktail hour and unfortunately guests could barely hear her play. When we asked management about this issue after our wedding, they completely denied the issue and practically accused us of making this up. Ironically, we did get a hold of an e-mail admission from management acknowledging that the club’s subs are very loud.

    Third, the floor by the vault was uneven and unstable. At some point, I witnessed our caterer’s staff remove our floral arrangement and the food on the table near the vault because our guests were worried the floral arrangement was going to fall on top of them. Thank goodness our caterer was on top of the issue and removed these items right away. Unfortunately, this ruined the night for guests sitting at that table, so they left the wedding early. When we asked management about this hazard after our wedding, they amazingly admitted they were aware the area near the vault was unstable but didn’t do anything about it because no one had complained. That is a frightening way to manage venue of this scale and size. Its obvious management does not have a proactive approach to fixing issues as critical and as dangerous as unstable flooring.

    Fourth, the elevator got stuck during cocktail hour after our elderly guests were already on the second floor. The elevator didn’t work for the rest of the evening, so our elderly guests were forced to take the stairs down with the assistance of other guests. Our bartender and harpist were also forced to transport their equipment down the stairs, as well. We found out after the fact that our bartender injured his hand as a result.

    We spent so much time and money planning our wedding and it pains me to have negative feelings about our big day but unfortunately too many things went wrong for me to not warn other couples considering this venue.

    Most of our vendors were incredible despite these issues and made sure the event was memorable for us and our guests. I highly recommend choosing a venue with management that cares about your wedding and is on top of any issues to make sure your once-in-a-lifetime wedding goes as smoothly as possible. Sadly, this is not one of those venues.

    My children were recently married at Majestic Halls. Our experience was awful and the attitude of the owner in my opinion was outrageous. We contracted with Majestic Halls for their Premium package and at the food tasting 6 months ago everything was wonderful, delicious and the service was just what one would expect for a formal wedding reception. What we got was 108 degrees different. The warm appetizers came cold, chicken satay was missing the peanut sauce and was cold. the cold appetizers came room temp. All ran out within minutes due to the short number of servings/person. (less than one per person on 2 of the 4 appetizers). The salad was warm, the miso crusted salmon was dry and without miso crust, the desserts wer shorted and the coffee was provided in coffee cups. (We were told after the fact that we needed to rent spoons and real coffee cups/saucers if we didn't want it in paper cups. The first Event Mgr. Ashley (gone) never informed us of these facts nor was it articulated in the contract. The second Event Mgr. Jessica (gone) and our most recent Event Manager Caitlin (I met her one day before) who was very nice (is no longer working there).
    I met with the owner Mr. Shy who said that I should just be happy about my kids getting married and forget about the dissatisfaction with the food quality and service. He then informed me that he had contracted out the food service with Silver Service Events (Jerry Barnot is the owner) and that if I had a problem with the above I should deal with him.
    I met with Silver Service and said this was not representative of the Food Tasting. He replied that his contract with Majestic called for the lowest level of service. We were stunned. Champagne fluted glasses, silver lined dishes but no spoons, paper coffee cups, shorted desserts.

    The venue itself was amazing and beautiful, but the service was horrific. I went through a total of 6 planners in the span of 1 year of planning. The planning was so unorganized that I couldn't sign the contract to 2 days before my wedding! And on top of that, I used their suggested caterer, Silver Service Events who served the WRONG dish on the wedding day. After not getting any reply from the caterer he referred me to the general manager Yaniv who I spoke with once and then immediately after he stopped answering my calls or responding to my emails. 170 of our guests were served the wrong dish. We were promised a braised short rib with a port wine sauce and we were served a dry, torn up beef dish with no sauce. I am still fighting to get compensation from the venue as they have taken zero responsibility for the broken contract. Beware before booking this venue as they are not staffed or prepared to handle a wedding.

    If no stars were an option, then that’s what I would have picked. If you are reading this, then I assume you are looking to book a wedding venue or some other large event at the Majestic. I highly recommend that you don’t use this venue. My husband I were married at the Majestic last year and there were a series of events on the day of where the venue drastically failed to perform. To start, we were contracted to have access to the venue including the kitchen at 8am the day of the wedding. Despite the representatives of the Majestic confirming on multiple occasions that the venue would be cleaned and ready for us before 8am, the kitchen was not made available to our caterer until approximately 12pm. The kitchen was left filthy from the wedding the evening before so an individual from the catering team was cleaning the kitchen while waiting for Majestic’s cleaning crew to arrive (clearly not what I hired him to do). The caterer was never anticipating a 4-hour delay, but I don’t know who would. This resulted in an incredible amount of stress on the caterer causing his performance to suffer. Prior to our wedding day, we had detailed conversations with representatives of the Majestic about the air conditioning and elevator access to the second floor of the venue. One of the main reasons I booked the venue was because they had an elevator that would allow disabled family (i.e. our grandmothers) and friends to access the upstairs area during cocktails. The Majestic event coordinator who was there the evening of the wedding was unprofessional and made it extremely difficult to use the elevator as he would not share the key with my wedding planner and he was difficult to locate. As a result, my grandmother and other guests never made it upstairs to the cocktails. Regarding the air conditioning, we were told that the venue had functioning stand-alone units as well as central air conditioning.
